I know. I was there. I saw the great void in your soul, and you saw mine. — Sebastian Faulks
In the Bible, an empty vessel is a person's capacity to receive from GOD. The idea is that GOD fills empty vessels that are humble and surrender themselves to GOD.
Here are some examples of empty vessels in the Bible:
2 Kings 4:3 Elisha tells a widow to ask her neighbors for empty jars to gather in faith. The widow will receive oil for each jar she fills, but if she runs out of jars, the oil will stop flowing.
2 Timothy 2:21 Paul writes that a Christian can become "a vessel for honorable use" by separating themselves from sin.
Some say to be a blessing to others, one must live a life of constant repentance & keep their vessels empty so they can be filled by GOD.
You must offer GOD an empty jar, an empty vessel, to receive HIS spiritual blessings. If you want to experience the work of the HOLY SPIRIT in your life, empty yourself of those things that are not from HIM.
GOD, help me to empty myself of anything that is not of YOU.

Trust and Obey (Deuteronomy 32:44-47)
When it comes to passing on the faith and spiritually forming others, we must have a holistic concern for both what and whom is being taught, as well as how to teach and why we do it.
Moses and His People, by Marc Chagall, 1973 Moses and Joshua son of Nun recited this song, so that the people of Israel could hear it. When Moses had finished giving God’s teachings to the people, he said, “Be sure to obey all these commands that I have given you today. Repeat them to your children, so that they may faithfully obey all of God’s teachings. These teachings are not empty words;…

The Value of Jesus’ Death for God and Christians
Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross has both infinite and eternal value for both God the Father as well as those trust in Christ as their Savior. From the divine perspective, Jesus is “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29), and this because He went to the cross as the Father directed (John 6:68; 12:27; cf., 26:39, 42). Jesus died in our place (Rom 5:8; 1 Cor…

The Favored Woman and Man
God needed a vessel — one He FAVORED above ALL women to be the Mother of Jesus. “The angel came to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored!….” (Luke 1:28) God chose Mary to be the First Lady of our faith. She was found faithful. She was the first to believe in Jesus as her Savior and Lord while she still carried Him in her womb. Yes, Mary was highly favored, but it still meant she…

Prayer of Jabez
1 Chronicles 4:10 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel. He said, “I wish you would bless me. I wish you would give me more territory. Let your power protect me. Keep me from harm. Then I won’t have any pain.” God gave him what he asked for. I have loved this prayer of Jabez for a long time. It reminds me every time of the fact that we are supposed to ask for God's blessings. Here in Brazil,…
