[ad_1] 3 min read Last Updated : Oct 14 2024 | 3:54 PM IST SpiceJet is facing a new insolvency case filed by aircraft lessor Aviator ML 29641 Ltd in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) over unpaid rental dues totalling around Rs 58 crore. The case revolves around a lease agreement for a Boeing 737 aircraft signed on June 16, 2017, according to a report by Mint. According to the lessor, as of June 29, 2024, the outstanding dues amount to around $7.3 million. Click here to connect with us on WhatsApp During the hearing on Monday, the NCLT chose not to issue a notice to SpiceJet, citing the absence of a response from the airline to the demand notice in the lessor’s petition. The tribunal has allowed the airline time to file its response, scheduling the next hearing for November 11, the report said.  The counsel for Aviator ML 29641 Ltd informed the tribunal that SpiceJet had attempted to negotiate a settlement but failed to reach any resolution, leading to the initiation of insolvency proceedings. Legal troubles for SpiceJet This latest case adds to a series of insolvency petitions against SpiceJet, primarily related to unpaid dues to various vendors and lessors. Though several cases have been filed, none have led to insolvency proceedings so far. Some cases were dismissed by the NCLT, while others were withdrawn following settlements, and several remain unresolved. Parties who have previously filed insolvency cases against SpiceJet include Wilmington Trust SP Services (Dublin), Willis Lease Finance, Celestial Aviation, Aircastle, and Alterna Aircraft. Additionally, entities like AWAS 36698 Ireland, AWAS 36694 Ireland, AWAS 36695 Ireland, Shannon Engine Support Limited, Engine Lease Finance B V, Raymach Technologies, and Techjockey Infotech have also pursued legal action. Recent settlements SpiceJet recently reached a settlement with Irish aircraft lessor Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management, resolving a $131.85 million dispute. This settlement comes on the heels of the airline being able to raise Rs 3,000 crore capital through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP). The airline is also set to receive Rs 736 crore from an earlier funding round, further strengthening its financial position. SpiceJet’s financial difficulties have led to court orders mandating the grounding of leased engines and aircraft due to unpaid dues. Despite these setbacks, Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh has plans to expand SpiceJet’s fleet to 100 aircraft by 2026. The airline also aims to bring its 36 grounded planes back into operation, with expectations to have 40 aircraft in service by March 2025, matching the fleet size of competitor Akasa Air, the report said. Affordable Ways to Plan Your Ayodhya Trip!
Tumblr media
The latest addition to the beautiful Indian tourism, Ram Mandir, has made Ayodhya one of the most visited cities in the country within a few months. If you are looking to make plans for this sacred and exceptional city of Uttar Pradesh, there are quite a few ways to organize your trip. And guess what? It won’t have to cost you a fortune to plan your trip to Ayodhya. There are ways you can implement to reduce your total cost of airline fares and other travel expenses. Try to use the following points to organize an affordable and budgetary Ayodhya trip.
Make Budget Airlines Your Go-To Travel Partner:
As it is a known fact that flights are usually more expensive than other means of transportation. Sure, they are costly, but if they are charging you extra money, they are offering you a comfortable and faster way to reach your destination. However, with increasing tourism, airlines are significantly reducing their ticket costs. If you do not mind traveling on standard or economy lite flights, you can go with IndiGo, Akasa Air, SpiceJet, Vistara, Alliance Air, or Air India Express Airlines. All of these are famous for their cheapest fares and other budget services.
Go with Unconventional Airline Routes:
Popular routes are always in demand, hence consistently higher flight ticket rates. Sure, you cannot do much, but look for better deals or discount coupons if you have a set route in mind already. But in case of impromptu travel plans, you can go with routes that are not so popular because most of these airline routes have lower airfares. For your reference, here are a few flight routes with less tourist traffic:
Tirupati to Ayodhya Flights
Kolkata to Ayodhya Flights
Goa to Ayodhya Flights
Shimla to Ayodhya Flights
Bhopal to Ayodhya Flights
Search for a Low Cost Travel Booking Partner:
India is highly famous for its tourism, and to cater to all these travel aficionados, there are many travel booking websites available online. Among all the famous ones, you can try FlightsMojo, as they are new and are always offering cheaper rates with great discounts and deals on all flight tickets to Ayodhya. You can talk to their customer support or expert agents for more deals on flights to and from Ayodhya and make your flight booking accordingly.
The more you will search, the more you will get. That’s how it works for budget travelers, which you all obviously know about, right? So, if you’ve got something that we have missed, share it with us to help more travelers around the world.

Fly to Exciting Destinations in India: Finding the Best Deals on Cheap Flight Tickets
Tumblr media
Introduction:
Travel enthusiasts are constantly seeking new adventures and exploring the diverse landscapes, cultures, and traditions of India. From the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas to the serene backwaters of Kerala, India offers a plethora of experiences waiting to be discovered. However, one aspect that often concerns travelers is the cost of airfare. In this article, we will guide you on how to find cheap flight tickets in India, enabling you to explore your dream destinations without breaking the bank.
Part 1: Planning Your Trip Efficiently
1.1. Choosing the Right Travel Dates:
Your journey towards affordable travel starts with careful planning. When you book your flights plays a significant role in determining ticket prices. Generally, flying during the off-peak season or on weekdays tends to be more budget-friendly. Flexibility in your travel dates can make a substantial difference in finding cheap flight tickets in India.
1.2. Utilizing Fare Comparison Websites:
The internet is a treasure trove of information, and this extends to travel deals. Various fare comparison websites and apps allow you to compare prices across multiple airlines and booking platforms. Websites like Skyscanner, Google Flights, and Kayak are excellent resources to begin your search for affordable airfares. These tools often come with features like fare alerts, notifying you when prices drop for your desired route.
Part 2: Booking Strategies for Cheap Flights
2.1. Book in Advance:
One of the golden rules of finding cheap flight tickets is to book well in advance. Airlines typically release their seats at lower prices months before the departure date. Booking early can help you secure the best deals and ensure availability.
2.2. Flexible Departure and Arrival Airports:
Consider flying in or out of nearby airports rather than your primary destination airport. This can sometimes result in lower fares. For instance, if you plan to visit Delhi, checking flights to and from Jaipur or Chandigarh might yield more affordable options.
2.3. Leverage Frequent Flyer Programs:
Frequent flyer programs and loyalty memberships offered by airlines can provide significant savings. Accumulate miles or points through these programs and redeem them for future flights. Additionally, airlines often offer exclusive deals and discounts to their loyal customers.
Part 3: Budget Airlines and Alternative Routes
3.1. Explore Budget Airlines:
In India, several budget airlines offer competitive fares without compromising on safety or quality. Airlines like IndiGo, SpiceJet, and GoAir often provide attractive deals for domestic and select international routes. Keep an eye out for their promotions and sales.
3.2. Consider Layovers and Connecting Flights:
While non-stop flights are convenient, they are not always the most cost-effective option. Opting for layovers or connecting flights can sometimes result in substantial savings. Just be sure to check the layover durations and choose flights that align with your schedule.
Part 4: Timing and Additional Tips
4.1. Best Time to Book Tickets:

SPICEJET
Tumblr media
SpiceJet shares nosedived 17% on Tuesday SpiceJet shares nosedived 17% on Tuesday, marking the sixth consecutive day of losses. The stock closed at Rs 23.21 on the BSE, down from its previous close of Rs 27.35. The decline in SpiceJet shares comes amid a number of challenges facing the airline, including a grounding of 25 planes, a financial crisis, and a series of technical glitches. On May 10, the airline was grounded by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) after it failed to meet safety standards. The grounding was lifted on May 17, but the airline has been unable to resume all of its flights. SpiceJet is also facing a financial crisis. The airline has been unable to raise funds from investors, and it is currently operating on a day-to-day basis. In addition, the airline has been plagued by a series of technical glitches in recent months. In April, a SpiceJet plane made an emergency landing in Mumbai after its engine caught fire. In May, another SpiceJet plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Delhi after its cabin filled with smoke. The combination of these challenges has led to a decline in investor confidence in SpiceJet. The airline's shares have lost more than 50% of their value in the past year. It remains to be seen whether SpiceJet will be able to overcome its current challenges and return to profitability. However, the recent decline in its share price suggests that investors are losing faith in the airline's future.

HISTORY OF SPICE JET SpiceJet, a popular low-cost airline based in India, has a fascinating history that dates back to its inception in 2005. Let's take a journey through the key milestones and developments that have shaped SpiceJet into the successful airline it is today. Establishment and Initial Operations (2005-2008): SpiceJet was founded by Mr. Bhupendra Kansagra, Mr. Ajay Singh, and Mr. S.K. Modi in 2005. The airline commenced its operations on May 23, 2005, with a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. From the beginning, SpiceJet aimed to provide affordable and convenient air travel options to passengers in India. Expansion and Growth (2008-2013): In 2008, SpiceJet took a significant step towards expansion by ordering 30 Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This marked the airline's transition to a fleet of new-generation aircraft, enabling improved efficiency and passenger comfort. SpiceJet introduced several new destinations within India and expanded its network to include international destinations such as Kathmandu, Colombo, and Dubai. Turbulent Times and Recovery (2014-2016): The period from 2014 to 2016 presented challenges for SpiceJet. Financial difficulties led to the airline temporarily grounding its fleet in late 2014. However, with a change in management and a renewed focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency, SpiceJet made a remarkable recovery. The airline resumed operations and gradually regained its market position. Renewed Growth and Fleet Expansion (2017-2020): Under the leadership of Ajay Singh, who returned as Chairman and Managing Director in 2015, SpiceJet experienced a phase of renewed growth. The airline focused on expanding its domestic and international network, introducing new routes and destinations. It also placed substantial aircraft orders, including Boeing 737 MAX and Bombardier Q400 aircraft, to modernize and expand its fleet. During this period, SpiceJet ventured into various innovative initiatives, such as launching regional operations under the "Spice Shuttle" brand, establishing the "SpiceBiz" premium economy offering, and introducing the "SpiceMax" seating option for enhanced comfort. Coping with COVID-19 (2020-Present): The COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted the global aviation industry, and SpiceJet was not immune to its effects. Like other airlines, SpiceJet faced significant disruptions due to travel restrictions and reduced demand. However, the airline demonstrated resilience and adapted to the changing circumstances. During the pandemic, SpiceJet played a crucial role in transporting essential medical supplies and cargo, contributing to the national COVID-19 relief efforts in India. The airline also implemented stringent health and safety measures to ensure passenger well-being and instill confidence in air travel. Looking Ahead: As the aviation industry gradually recovers from the pandemic, SpiceJet continues to focus on its growth trajectory. The airline has plans to expand its fleet, explore new routes, and enhance its services to cater to evolving passenger needs. SpiceJet's commitment to affordability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction has helped it carve a niche in the Indian aviation market. With its innovative initiatives and strategic vision, SpiceJet remains a prominent player in the low-cost airline segment, providing millions of passengers with accessible and enjoyable air travel experiences. As Delhi gets enveloped in a thick smog with visibility dwindling to 50 meters at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, on Monday from 10:00 PM to Tuesday at 4:00 AM, around 100 flights had to be delayed. Also, 5 other flights between 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM Monday were routed to Jaipur. At 11:25 PM Monday, the first diversion occurred for a SpiceJet flight from Jabalpur to Delhi.
After this, a Dubai flight (P4999) was diverted at 11:35 PM, followed by a diversion at 11:36 PM for a GoFirst Mumbai to Delhi flight (G8 341), and then two other flights - Ahmedabad-Delhi Air India flight (AI 816) and Dubai-Delhi flight (VTVRV) at around 11:45 PM. According to an airport official, only CAT-III B-compliant pilots or airlines were given permission to land between 10.30 PM and 4:00 AM.
The Delhi airport had already tweeted at 10:10 PM on Monday that there was low visibility and procedures necessary were in place to take care of the situation, requesting the passengers to keep a check with their airlines for the latest information. The low visibility procedures aimed to ease out the landing of the flights when the visibility goes down further from 800m.
In the first level of precaution, the CAT-I procedures guide pilots. CAT-II flights and pilots if permitted can land if the visibility even dips to less than 550 meters. The situation worsened on Tuesday because of intense fog, spreading to Punjab and through the Indo-Gangetic plain. Delhi recorded a temperature of 16.1°C on Monday amidst cloudy skies and fog. The temperature is three degrees less than the normally expected temperature at this time of the year.
And the lowest temperature recorded was 14.7°C in Jafarpur, gripping the city in a cold wave. A scientist from the IMD (India Meteorological Department), RK Jenamani said that several airports in the northern part of the country had low visibility and operations here were impacted between Monday 6:00 PM and Tuesday 1:00 PM. Unless the visibility at the airport is 125 meters, no flights can depart from the airport. Thus, delays also impacted the departure of flights.
