But soon it was back to way too much water way too fast.

The was formerly the site of a TGI Fridays restaurant.

Since I arrived on the this trip I've been good about keeping my emotions in check (well...mostly) with no major outbursts.

The next stop really hit me hard and started the waterworks flowing. Fueled by tears from the waters of the well of Nostalgia.

This was our first apartment togather. On Rose Ave in Escondido, a short bus ride away from the mall where we both worked. We moved here in August of 1984 after a turbulent series of dates and breakups.

She just wasn't sure about me. So she left and came back a couple of times.

I waited for her. I knew she'd come back. I was right. (A belief I still cling to)

We started with nothing. Her bed from home, some donated peices of furniture and milk crates for tables.

But we were happy.

We got our first cat. Shadow an all black long haired cat that really wasn't allowed. But we got him anyways.

I loved waking up to her beautiful face each morning.

We bought our first car togther (A Hyundai hatch back) and worked hard to make things better.

CANADIAN DEATHCORE PIONEERS DESPISED ICON ARE BACK TO REVEAL THEIR 6TH FULL-LENGTH ALBUM, 'PURGATORY,' WHICH WILL BE RELEASED ON NOVEMBER 15TH VIA NUCLEAR BLAST.

Alex comments: "All in all, with this record, I feel like we acknowledged every era of the band a lot more. So, if you're more into The Ills of Modern Man or Day Of Mourning, we have lot of those elements on the new record. We always try to stay one step ahead of the pack so we introduced new ideas here and there." Last Friday, DESPISED ICON kicked-off their North American Tour in Saskatoon. The 22-date trek which will include the band playing new material from the upcoming album will include stops in Vancouver, Anaheim, and Philadelphia before concluding in Toronto on October 13th at The Opera House. Joining the band as direct support is Texan metalcore act KUBLAI KHAN. The package will also include British extreme metal band INGESTED and American Deathcore band SHADOW OF INTENT. B a c k g r o u n d I n f o : Dove and Jamie head home from Game 4 only to find a surprise at home.

Jamie: That win for the team was one they needed to push them into game 5, the score ending 5-1 made Jamie happier than anyone could’ve ever expected. All the post-game interviews were short and sweet, and Jamie was trying his hardest to get changed so he could meet his girlfriend outside the locker room. A quick shower, making sure he could all the sweat he could off, and brushed his hair back, not even trying to style it like he usually did. Once he came out of the shower most of the guys were finished with their interviews and the others were already changing, Tyler had already beaten him to the punch and was already in his suit, checking himself in the mirror. Jamie chirped the male with a ‘in a rush for a hot date?’ only with Tyler to shake his head as a retort. Jamie himself worked to get changed back into his game day suit, making sure not to mess it up, knowing he’d wear it for the next game. Once the 29-year-old was changed, throwing a beanie over his after-shower hair, he walked out of the double doors and swept the small familiar blonde into his arms, lifting her and kissing her, she was dressed in her new Stars jean jacket with his name and number on the back that he could get to her last minute, thanks to one of the other wags. He was thankful Jordie can’t keep his mouth shut and told Jamie what he had heard from Jess about them ‘losing’ Dove’s jacket. He didn’t want to let go of her, he was enjoying the kisses, knowing she’d be leaving the next day, back for LA. ‘GET A ROOM’ could be heard from down the hall from the male Jamie had made fun of earlier, “Shut up Tyler!” Jamie said back after breaking the kiss.

Dove: Not only did Dove get to hang with all the other WAGs but she also ended up getting a jacket last minute thanks to Jamie. She was near tears when he presented it to her before they left for the game. She was so insanely thankful for the sweet gesture, she didn't need it necessarily but he knew it meant a lot even if she didn't admit that to him. Dressed in her jean jacket, his number across the back, she cheered as they scored goal after goal. The AAC was on fire and so were the boys. It was absolutely amazing and Dove was so happy and proud of the whole team but especially Jamie. She made her way down to the locker room after picking up Sofia from her seat with some of the Nashville WAGs that had made the way to Dallas. Standing in front of the Stars locker room talking about the game as the they waited for both their boys. One of the first ones out was Tyler who gave Dove a quick hug before looking at Sofia. A large smile appeared on his lips. "Aren't you gonna introduce me, Chloe? Who's your pretty little friend?" Dove rolled her eyes a little. "This is Sofia. She is about to head to the Preds locker room to meet her boyfriend." the blonde pointed out, Sofia chuckling softly at the comments. Before Dove could say anything else or give the two any more attention Jamie came and swept her up. He lifted her up as her legs wrapped around his waist before leaning more into the kiss. Her arms wrapped around his neck as one hand snuck up under his beanie and into his hair. She wanted to ignore Tyler's comment but Jamie broke the kiss to tell him to shut up. She chuckled before pulling Jamie back into the kiss, not wanting to let him go.

Jamie: Like a 3-year-old talking back to their parents, Tyler replied with a ‘MAKE ME!’ only for Jamie to laugh, before replying to the younger male, “How’s that rash? Has Kate seen it yet?” With that, Tyler flipped him off and kept walking, Jamie smiled as he turned back to Dove, still in his arms “So do I carry you like this out to the car, or should we walk like normal human beings?” Jamie would be fine carrying her out, but at the same time, it wouldn’t be very professional of them to do such a thing, especially after a big game like that. Taking her hand, he thought he’d walk with her to drop Sofia off at the Predator’s locker for Josi to spend time with her. Once it was just the two of them, he walked with her down the tunnel, heading down towards the car. This moment he was hoping they’d make it home in time to possibly, finally, get the sexy time he was hoping for. Thinking about her like that as they were walking was making him a little hot and bothered a bit.

Dove: Dove chuckled "Walking like normal humans is probably the adult thing to do here" she laughed a little as she let him place her back on her feet. After dropping Sofia off at the Preds locker room the two headed to the car, hands intertwined as she looked over at him with a smile on her lips. Reaching over to grab the beanie she pulled it off his head with a giggle. "Why are you hiding the hair?" she smirked. Once they both settled down in the car she leaned over to run her fingers through his hair before leaning into another kiss. "Let's go home so I can rip that suit off of you" she whispered against his lips with a smirk playing on her lips. All she wanted was to rip his clothes off of him and jump him right here but she knew it wasn't too long of a drive until they would be at his house.

Jamie: When they got into the car, she asked about his beanie, he let a grin creep across his face, “Cause I was saving it for you, and didn’t want to put product back into it after the shower,” glancing over to her, he raised an eyebrow and made a kissy-face in her direction before she ran her fingers through his hair and pulled her close when she kissed him. Letting out a deep breath when she mentioned ripping the suit off of him, this whole scenario was giving him tingles, maybe tonight was the night, maybe they’d get a bit more good luck if they finally have sex. With knowing what was on the line when they reached his house, the drive felt longer to Jamie, it was if it was a buildup of what was to come. Pulling into the driveway, the male immediately put it in park and reached over the center console and pulled the blonde in for a deep kiss, as if to keep going from where they left off, knowing they needed to make it into the house, Jamie once again had to break the kiss apart, only to climb out of the car, then over to her side to help her out and pull her again into another kiss.

Dove: The drive felt like forever tonight, her hand resting on his thigh, occasionally playing with his hair. The anticipation was absolutely killing her and she just wanted him so badly. As soon as they were in his drive way he parked, didn't even pull into the garage that's in how much of a rush he was. She leaned into the kiss, deepening it before letting him pull apart so they could get out. Once out of the car he pulled her into another kiss. Her arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him down a bit more as she deepened the kiss again. Part of her wanted to get inside and hurry up to the bedroom but part of her also really wanted to enjoy this. The sensation of his hands on her body, his lips on hers and their bodies close together. After another moment she was the one to pull away, taking his hand in hers. Without another word she walked towards the front door.

Jamie: Kissing as they walked up toward the front door, they didn’t know what was to come, but something felt off to Jamie as he walked up to the house, before opening the door he broke apart the kiss, using his key to unlock the house. They were met with a mess. Couch cushions ripped a part, stuff scattered all over the floor, it was an obvious home invasion, “Fuck!” the male said loudly. Reaching behind the coat rack, he picked up the baseball bat he used when he first thought Dove was breaking in, he had left it there. He turned to dove and handed her the keys, “Get back in the car and call the police” He knew his alarm had to have gone as the red light from the alrams keypad was blinking a bright red. Hearing scurrying from the kitchen he braced himself as if he was up to bat if he saw whoever was in his house. As he turned the corner, the figure in black clothes darted out the broken sliding door and out into the back yard. Jamie was hot on his tail, but running in his nice shoes and suit impeded his speed, the burglar was up and over the fence before Jamie could make it to it. “GOD DAMN IT!” He yelled, pounding his hand against the fence. Once walking back into the house, the sound of broken glass under his feet, he was greeted by seeing 3 cop cars pulling up to the house.

Dove: Dove saw the mess in the living room when they walked in, her eyes grew wide as Jamie seemed to know exactly what was going on. The female did as instructed, quickly hurrying back out to the car, getting inside and calling the police on her phone. She was talking about a mile a minute, eyes focused on the house as she worried about Jamie was about to do. The female was talking to 911 on the phone as three cop cars already pulled up. Jamie's alarm must've already alerted them when the intruder first entered the house. The blonde was quite shaken up as she sat there looking at the house. Up until this point no house she ever lived in, or stayed at for extended periods of time had ever been broken into so this was a different experience. She sat frozen in the seat of the car, waiting to see Jamie safe and sound. Needing an all clear before she could go back inside that house.

Jamie: When the cops rolled up, Jamie was quick to drop the bat and put his hands up in the air. The officers did have their guns drawn when they got out of the cars, but once realizing Jamie was unarmed, they motioned for him to walk towards them, they were able to check over him quickly, patting him down to make sure there was nothing he was hiding. That’s when they asked what happened, “We got home, I opened the door and noticed the place was ransacked, I haven’t checked upstairs, but I also wouldn’t be surprised” Jamie started motioning for Dove to get out of the car and join him, “We just got home from the game, and…” That’s when he realized Waffle was still in his crate upstairs, “Our dog is upstairs in the bedroom, can I go get him, he’s probably scared out of his mind...” The officer stated that he should stay down and talk to them and then asked one of the other officers to run and get the dog for them, telling Jamie to continue his story, “We just got back from the game, I opened the door and found the place like this, the guy was still here, and he was able to get out the back door, the sliding glass door is basically annihilated so I’m pretty sure that’s how he got in…” He bit his lip, “I did try to chase him with the baseball bat that is in the kitchen, but he jumped the southside fence faster than I could run in these shoes.”

Dove: Dove watched with big eyes as her boyfriend walked out of his house, hands up in the air, surrendering himself to the police who had their weapons drawn. A small tear fell from her eyes as she stayed still, almost frozen in place for the moment. When she saw Jamie motioning for her to get out of the car, she slowly climbed out and went to stand by his side, sliding his key into his pocket before she wrapped her arms around his waist. Taking the first deep breath in what felt like hours. Her head perked up when he talked about 'their' dog. She watched the cop head into the house and a few minutes later reappeared with Waffle in his arms. The blonde let go of Jamie to go take the small puppy from the officer. His little heart was pounding like crazy all while he was making all sorts of noises, complaining about something. Dove slowly walked over to the side of the yard to a patch of grass to let Waffle go pee and then sat down with him and just focused on cuddling and snuggling the poor little puppy while letting Jamie deal with the police.

Jamie: Watching the officer hand Waffle over to Dove, Jamie quickly kissed the top of her head before she wandered over to the grass. The officers then started to ask the usual questions, “Well, he was wearing what looked like black jeans, wrangler or levis style, and it was just a plain back hoodie, like it was straight out of a movie get up, black pants, black top, black hat… What? No, I didn’t get a good look at his face, he has some scruff I could see on his neck, I was too pissed to really notice much of his face, because I only really ever saw was the back side, cause I tried to get him going out the back door, but leather soled shoes are not good to run in,” motioning towards the dress shoes he was wearing. Taking off his suitcoat, he draped the fabric over his arm, trying to get more casual with the main officer, as the other two started into the house, scanning over the rooms. Jamie didn’t know what else to do in this situation, listening to the offer say that there will be a cop car for surveillance for the neighborhood for possibly the whole weekend since Jamie would be out of town.

Dove: Dove just quietly watched from afar as she played with Waffle. Part of her was hoping it was all just a bad dream and she fell asleep on the ride back from the game but this was real and happening. Her focus shifted from watching Jamie to the small puppy in her lap. Talking to the little dog, telling him how scared the whole situation feels to her and how scary it must've been for him, it really made her feel better. It felt like probably 20 minutes later, Jamie still talking to the officer while the other two were inside when Waffle decided to take off running over to Jamie, circling around the male's legs. Dove smiled, getting up from her little spot on the grass to walk over to her boyfriend and the police officer. "Sorry. He's still so little and not trained yet.." the blonde explained, apologizing to the officer for the interruption.

Jamie: The officer laughed a little bit, telling her the puppy was cute no matter what. Jamie picked up the small dog and held him in his large arms, with waffle almost immediately starting to fall asleep, you could tell the dog loved being in Jamie’s arms, though he knows it’s going to get harder when the dog gets bigger. The Officer gave instructions and a case number to the hockey player, leaving him with a trashed home. Looking in through the open front door with all the nights on made him sigh, this was like a part of him got demolished. Walking inside, glass crunching under his feet, he wandered up the stairs with the dog in tow, luckily, he could tell nothing had been touched, they interrupted the robber before he could make it anywhere near his prized stuff. Seeing Dove following behind him, “Let me get some stuff packed, and get your bags, we can spend the night in a hotel room.”

Dove: Dove quietly followed, cringing at the sound of the glass underneath their feet. The living room looked demolished and the kitchen didn't look much better. She was glad when they got upstairs that it looked untouched. It made her feel a bit safer because Waffle had been safe and sound. She nodded at Jamie's suggestion and went to grab her bags, they were almost fully packed since she was leaving early the next day. Plus she didn't have to worry if she left anything she'd be back soon anyway. "Let me take Waffle" she suggested, taking the sleeping puppy from the male's arms, snuggling him into her own before she got started on packing up some things for the puppy as well. She was glad they were leaving for a hotel room cause she doubted she'd be able to sleep there at all.

Jamie: Handing off the puppy to the blonde, Jamie let out a sigh. He knew he’d have to be up early enough to take her to the airport and be able to hire a cleaning crew to come in to help with the situation, he’d have to talk to insurance, his lawyers, so much to do in such little time, especially with everything going on with the playoffs. But before Dove could get too far away, he pulled her into a hug, Waffle stuck in between the who of them, like a little sandwich. He kissed the top of her head and just wanted to hold her there for however long he could, just having that bit of closure while he could.

Dove: Dove closed her eyes as she let him wrap her up in his strong arms. “I love you” she breathed as she relaxed into his arms for the first time since getting home. In the midst of everything that had happened his arms were the one place she felt safe and protected. Waffle sound asleep in between the two of them, them together like a little family. She didn’t even know how much she needed this quiet moment in his arms, it being just the two of them.
