One of my to-dos for today was to take a pick and use Google Images to ID this gal, which is what led me to the excellent and thorough review I'm reblogging, as it covers everything about this doll, and I agree with all of it.

Mine is one of the few survivors from my mother's extensive collection. She'd made the initial cut to the Final 20 because of her heterochromia. I thought she split the difference between Winx Club and Monster High really elegantly.

However, when I took out Liv dolls today to try on clothing, I realized I'd already forgotten about her, which makes her a good candidate to leave, thereby making space to indulge in someone new.

My first impression when I took her out today was that she feels cheap. I can forgive clones for feeling cheap, so I hoped she was a clone. Alas, no. The Madame Alexander brand's flailing for relevance led them into the Band of Four Friends Who Just Happen to Be Princesses / Magic / From Space / in a Band genre.

If I'd paid $1.50 for her around the time of sleeptoycollection's review, I too would have really liked her! She could have joined Midnight Magic Pippa as a representative of the trend.

That's not where I am now as a doll accumulator, so Luna here is going in the donation bag to delight some other person for $1.50.

Remember Madame Alexander’s Spacepops? Alas, they flopped harder than a pancake hitting the floor. Just proof that no matter how cool your designs are in principle, if you don’t follow through with the quality of the finished product you’re doomed.

got the impulse to redesign some creatures from a really bad youtube ad i screencapped years ago

i found the thing theyre from (spacepop) (the animation is about as bad as you think itd be and the voice acting matches) (these things are the Cute Mascots and they beatbox to communicate) (i wish i didnt learn this information because i actually really like the ones i drew) (look at this man who is in a totally different style)

I know originally I was gonna have my CEC sona be in my dream CEC cartoon pilot…but after some rewriting I decided to have my main CEC OCs be in it instead. I’ve scrapped some and kept most. I’ve even changed some of their personalities. All except Chett. He’s still Chuck but boring and emo lol.

(Also I’m reworking Violet because I ship Bella x Helen now. It’s one of my new favorite ships lol. Violet won’t be a main OC anymore. She’ll be a side character now)

Kiki is heavily inspired by Amy Rose from Sonic The Hedgehog. She’s OBSESSED with Chuck E. Chuck, unlike Sonic, doesn’t cover up his feelings. He’s…somehow okay with how obsessive she is. Everyone else (except for Owlivia) thinks she’s nuts but Chuck’s just like ✨I can fix her.✨

Brook is back to being a main OC again and I’ve improved her while also staying true to how she was when I first created her. Her personality is inspired by my first version of Brook and Luna from SpacePOP. Just like Luna, she’s very full of herself and she’s mostly in it for the fame. Brook is also very competitive. Especially at her favorite game, Soccer. When she wins she will shove her victory down your throat.

Owlivia has changed the most out of all my main OCs. Instead of a goth girl who used to be a bully but was soon reformed, she’s a hippie who’s very ditzy and always has her head in the clouds. She tends to zone out a lot, daydreaming about flowers, music, cotton candy clouds, and even her girlfriend, Brook.

As you guys can see I also made signatures for all of them. I though since MMBB all have their own unique signatures so should they. I mean they are part of the band after all.
