Today, I was thinking to myself, "Imagine being Mitsuba"

Like Imagine randomly gaining consciousness and basically being born with a sudden awareness that you do in fact exist. The first person you meet is a deranged apparition.

You then began to realize your body is weak and almost falling apart because, naturally, your body shouldn't be working, yet it is.

You don't even know who you are, so you have to rely on others to tell you.

Then, eventually, you witness Tsukasa kill a supernatural and quite literally rip the heart out and force feed it to you, saying you have no choice because of how weak you are.

Right after that, some random stranger tells you that they know you, but you don't know who they are.

Eventually, you figure out that they did, in fact, know "you." Or the person you were before, before gaining consciousness. It turns out that other Mitsuba decided to trust Tsukasa, and now you're forced to deal with the consequences.

You also realize you'll never have the chance to experience what the other Mitsuba did. Like talk to others and experience human things. When that's the only thing you long for. You do everything you can to be human but keep failing. In fact, it seems you're getting further and further away from being human as you realize you have to do monstrous things like eat hearts to stay alive.

You still have your best friend Kou right? Yeah but you know you can't get too close to him because you know he'll eventually grown up and you won't. And so will everyone else.

You can't help but think getting exorcized is the best option but you feel bad because Kou is doing everyone he can to get you to be human.

Hoping tbhk gets the fma treatment of getting an reboot adaptation that’s faithful to the manga; picture perfect arc is incredible, that shit would be fucking phenomenal in animation with voice actors and an ost, it’s sad how many people haven’t seen that arc.
