I understand that literature nerd Jason Todd is kind of overblown in fanon compared to it's actual presence in canon (a few issues during his pre (and post?)crisis Robin tenure that highlight it) BUT consider that I think it's hilarious if the unhinged gun toting criminal has strong opinions on poetry

the plot of inquisition is fairly basic/unoriginal imo UNTIL you factor trespasser in as the real ending. that elevates the story so far beyond a simple fantasy "bad monster guy wants to take over the world. the plucky hero and his friends stops him" to something much more compelling. the moment you find out corypheus was really just small potatoes and you should have been worrying about the unassuming, soft-spoken elf who you thought was your friend and would always be by your side.... unparalleled. of course trespasser shouldn't have been a dlc I mean... we shouldn't have had to pay extra for something which is absolutely critical to the story of inquisition, but anyway...... it's truly the plot twist of all time. corypheus was a bit blah as a bad guy but really he was just a distraction- all you've been doing this whole time is cleaning up solas's mess so he can freely carry out his plans. solas is already an incredibly good villain, just being able to see and get to know the "human" side of him for an entire game is amazing set-up for da:d

What do I have to do or how much do I need to pay for someone write my story for me? I tell the concept, explain the characters, give them the world, and they transform it all in a readable story. How do I do it?!?!?!?

I’m not jealous; I don’t mind someone writing my story if I get to actually read my story. You don’t know how dreadful it is to imagine some parts of the story, and never be able to put them together. DREADFUL. HATEFUL.

I just wanted to read a silly psychological-horror story between a psycho god-complexed couple, their friendly scientific project, and a curious girl who had her life doomed forever. Is that asking too much? 😞

mel tryin to go save ambessa was actually the best part of act 3 because it was like. oh my god. is that... no.. could it be..?? a character finally acting in line with their morals and motivations in this story?? i forgot they did that in arcane......

i'm older and it's only made me love terra/tara markov more btw. i was like, idk, ten years old or something whenever i watched the animated teen titans show, a teen when i got into the comics, an adult now. and like... she literally was just a girl. she was just a teenage girl. they DREW her to be like a teen girl, they made her act like one, much more than the other teen superheroes these same writers and in general the comics industry would go on to draw and write and sexualize both before and after.

idk. i fought in the trenches as a kid to just defend liking her, so i'm glad in recent years she's gotten more grace. i mean we have a published comic that outright calls deathstroke a predator, that was NOT the general opinion all those years ago.

but, i find the issue is that they often take away the core angry, spiteful part of her character in order to make tara more empathetic. they have her cry instead of yell, and apologize instead of antagonize. and i just miss when she was angry, and frankly, more obviously mentally ill (which was. really really important for judas contract as a storyline). i wish her ONLY character trait now wasn't just being a victim of slade. i find when the judas contract retrospectives focus on this, that ignores so much of the rest of judas contract. that ignores where the titans were culpable for tara's downfall, too.

really is kind of a bummer that my brain’s interest in working on the Evan fic I mentioned in the last one I posted was utterly kneecapped by the airing of an unexpected second season. I don’t Really begrudge them their choice to return to the setting, but it in this specific context it’s a little annoying because I have no desire to a.) learn new character traits or backstories for these characters right now Or b.) interface with other fans who want the new content integrated into the writing and will point out new inconsistencies with the new canon. So it’s looking like there’s a chance I just won’t return to the idea at all. At least not any time soon. SAD!

when I was a teen and I read everything I could get my hands on, I had this rule in my head to seperate 'literary' fic from 'chick-lit'. and the rule was this: if they have sex and its bad its literary. if they have sex and they enjoy it its chick-lit.

alternate variations:

- if there are dark serious themes explored and everyone is dark and serious about it it's literary. if dark serious themes are explored but the characters crack jokes about it its chick-lit

- if a man writes it its literary and if a woman writes it its chick-lit

- if its written with the most dry boring-ass prose possible it's literary. if its written the way an actual person would talk its chick-lit

This is a great novel by an even greater horror writer on the rise that belongs in every collection. Rarely do you find a writer who can balance a fresh, modern outlook with nostalgia that breaths all the giants of horror fiction. This is a must read for any horror fan and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you order one book this month let it be this one. I truly enjoyed it that much. The only warning I will give you is that it will leave you wanting more the second you put it down. I want to read all about the world Dee has already tantalizingly laid out in the first novel. I can't wait to explore more about Alicia Lake and Ravenswood Institute. I can't wait!! order this book! you will thank yourself later.

Upon looking up from her book she finally noticed that she had company. Horror crept across her features as she realised she had practically ignored these girls for so long.

She stared at the ground for a moment, desperately attempting to think of something to say. An apology, even just a quick hello might do!

But as much as she tried, nothing came to her mind.

So she did the only thing she could think to do.

Robyn slammed her book shut, got up and briskly walked away.

Maybe she'd find an opportunity to speak to them another day. They truly did seem nice.

SUNFLOWER is such an unexpected repeater, it's my favorite flower! But I didn't think it would suit Judith really, she doesn't carry that warmth & happiness ( i imagine she does not inspire JOY in the people she meets, how nice would that be though ! ) ; i am just a sucker for symbolisms ! But my floriography is weak, so thank you very much for indulging me! Also, This made me really, really nostalgic, a friend drew judith with sunflowers before ! ( I said that was Judith's favorite flower, tho now I think about it, it's likely just because I couldn't think of any other flowers at that time . . . oops? )
