Yeah they replied to a post I made several years ago & I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about it. Not only because it was old as hell but because there were literally no GTMS related tags on that post? I know I barely post on here but still pretty weird since I'm a small, nearly dead blog.
Now that I think of it their reply came off as really tone-deaf to the entire post I made:
"To see something you probably loved making, twisted to something else and not feeling the same joy of writing those characters. Not having the same amount of freedom and control that you used to with your story."
That amped up to 100 now that I've found out that @unicornofgt clearly did not want this or approve of this.
All I got to say on the matter is that this comes off as extremely disrespectful regardless on whether or not this was done with good intentions. Like you said: For shame.
Ok nvm found more posts & comments they made & actually fuck them! 🖕
Tumblr media
"Unicorn isn't coming back I'm simply filling the vacuum."
Is that really how you think of us? (If you're not a troll that is.)
Us artists & writers in the community? As things that make content to satisfy an audience? That you throw away & dehumanize the second you don't get your slop? How vile do you gotta be to go against the creators wishes & dehumanize writers like this? No fucking wonder that Unicorn left holy fuck!
I can't believe the amount of blogs that I admired liking the posts of the gtms copycat blog. Shame on you. Shame on you. Shame. On. You.

are you a ddlg or kink blog? no. my blog is 99% sfw. i reblog pix of lingerie sometimes.
frequently asked questions: see here.
feeling suicidal? see this post here.
can you recommend some pink/pastel non-kink blogs? sure! to see all the blogs im following click here. they’re like 99% pink/pastel/kfashion/kawaii :]
how do you make your edits?
typography edits: they’re 90% made on my phone. I mainly use the app phonto. if i’m making it on the computer i use pixlr and/or gimp.
manga edits: manga edits are always made using gimp. all you have to do it change the color settings. it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
about my gifs: i make them with piskelapp.com and gimp.
can i request an edit? yes when edit requests are open, otherwise probably not, sorry.
can i get a userbox? i no longer make userboxes, sorry.
can i request a moodboard? what’s your opinion on moodboards? no i don’t make moodboards, and in imho i think moodboards are bad because 99% of the time the people that make them dont credit the original owners’ of the images. as an artist myself i find it disheartening that someone could end up using one of my images/artworks that i worked so incredibly hard on just to end up on some moodboard and not receive any credit for it. lots of times these moodboard posts get thousands of notes meanwhile the original artist doesn’t receive any credit, isn’t recognized for their work, and they are more than likely a small artist so they could really benefit if they were credited for their work. tldr; i don’t like moodboards they are an excuse for reposting. where do you get your fonts from? 1001fonts, dafont, and fontspace. please don’t ask about where i got a specific font because i will 100% not remember where it was from lol sry.
do you have an instagram? yep! @peachflavoredtea.
i love your insta! can you follow me back? if you want me to follow you back just message me and tell me what your username is
where can i buy your designs? you can view my shop here.
do you mind if ddlg/cgl/cglre/kink/nsfw blogs follow or reblog from you? i don’t mind if you follow me just please don’t comment inappropriate things on my posts. it makes me uncomfortable. please respect that.
what are your other blogs? personal blog is @sweet-treats
why didn’t you answer my ask? there’s a few different reasons for this. either the topic has already been closed or it was probably rude, insensitive, or ignorant. i don’t respond to those types of asks. in addition to these reasons, sometimes i get asks that i’m not really sure how to answer. i try my best to answer all the asks i get because i know what it’s like to not have people respond to you. it bothers me when people do this, so i can understand how it feels to not have your asks answered. if i don’t answer your ask please don’t take it personally, especially if it was on anon. if it was a genuine question please feel free to ask me off anon. sometimes i am willing to answer a question, i just don’t feel comfortable answering it publicly. i hope that makes sense. update: lately i don't answer right away because i don't use tumblr as much as i used to and i apologize for that.
can i repost your photos? no. please do not repost any of my content. please do not repost anyone’s content. when you repost something you take away credit from the OP. some people work very hard on their stuff. it is not right or fair for you to steal their credit. if you like something, please reblog it. it also goes against tumblr’s guidelines.
what’s the difference between reposting and reblogging? reposting is when you take someone else’s content and upload it and post it as your own. it goes against tumblrs guidelines and you are taking away the credit from the OP. it doesn’t matter where you got the image from if it isn’t yours it is considered reposting. reblogging is when you click the little square with the double arrows button on a post to reblog it.
can i post one of your photos to a different social media? absolutely! just as long as you credit me :]
can i use your edit of ____ as header/icon? yes as long as you give me proper credit [in your description or if you have a credits section.] otherwise please do not use them. it isn’t fair to me that you are using something i worked hard on and then not crediting me for it. please respect that. thank you.
can you check out my blog? sure! as long as it is suitable for work. if you have a nsfw blog please do not ask me to check it out. i do not follow nsfw blogs. it makes me uncomfortable. please respect that.
follow back rules: please do not ask me to follow you back. instead, ask me to check out your blog and i will do so happily. if you are a similar blog i will more than likely follow you.
hey why did you unfollow me? it was either one of two things. either you changed your blog type or you became inactive for 2 or more months. if it was the latter and you are going to be active again, feel free to shoot me a message letting me know you’re back and i will follow you again :] update: actually if you went inactive and came back i would love to follow you again so please let me know you’re back so i can follow you again!!
why did you block me? it was probably because you said something inappropriate or negative on one of my posts or about me in general. i do not tolerate that type of behavior.
can you tag…? no im sorry. i tag posts that i post but it would be way too much work for me to tag all the posts i reblog. im sorry ;[ 90% of my blog is queued from people’s archives and if i started tagging everything it would get way too complicated. you might have even noticed in the past that a lot of things have been tagged improperly for this specific reason. my blog was created for my enjoyment. if i have to tag all the posts i reblog, it takes the fun out of it, and it also kinda stresses me out to make sure everything is tagged properly. if something i reblog bothers you please try to scroll past it and if you have to unfollow i understand.
how many followers do you have? way more than i ever imagined tbh.
hey can you promo me? the only time i promo people is if i’m doing a promo, which you have to follow the rules for, if you bought something from my closet or my store. you can always ask for a blog rate though! see how to get one below.
how to get a blog rating. click here.

I was going to make a separate post for this but OP I hope you don't mind this addition to it.
Thank you and Sorry are celebrated phrases in the Sasuke/Sakura fandom but these aren't wholly positive in the way they think it is.
In addition to the polite refusal in the Japanese context, saying Thank You/Sorry implies a certain distance or creation of boundary between the speakers in many Asian cultures, especially those influenced by confucianism, including Japan.
You might have heard the saying "Families don't say thank you " from some asian movies/tv shows
What it implies is that when you are close enough with a person you don't need to acknowledge their actions as favours or transactional. Your relationship with that person is so close that you both are one singular entity without boundaries, hence you don't keep track of the favours or debts. You don't need to express gratitude to someone you are very close to. ( I am not condoning this mindset but describing it )
In fact Japanese people are infamous for perpetually saying these two phrases to strangers. It's not special or noteworthy either.
Funny enough I wrote a similar post about the use of these two particular phrases in another story, about how it's usage traces the development of the relationship of the romantic pair.
What I find particularly relevant is the extremely similar way it is used
"Lan Zhan you're really scared of me telling you 'thank you', aren't you? I suddenly remembered many of the times we parted ways in my past life, I said 'thank you' to you right before. And every time we separated, I worsened the next time we met"
The time they killed Wen Chao and Wen ZhuLiu at the courier station, the time they met each other through the flowers at the towers in Yunmeng, the time they parted at Yiling's Burial Mound. Every time, he used that word to mark a clear line between him and Lan Wangji, stretching out the distance between them.
The protagonist Wei Wuxian becomes more distant with his eventual romantic partner due to many events unfolding. Using this phrase symbolised how Wei Wuxian viewed him as an outsider in his life at that time.
But when Wei Wuxian finally gets together with Lan Wangji, he gets the self-realization, which he expressed in the above excerpt.
To which he gets the following reply from Lan Wangji
"Between you and me, there is no need for 'thank you' and 'sorry'.
No more distances between them.
This is the complete opposite of the Sasuke/Sakura relationship where these phrases are exalted.
I will obviously not compare their relationships themselves because it's literally a hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby situation lol
Regardless, the phrase itself and the action i.e. forehead poke symbolises distance, culturally and intratextually in their respective manner.
Why did Sasuke thank Sakura at the end?
It's simply a part of Sasuke politely rejecting Sakura and leaving the village on a decent note (ex. Sasuke saying sorry to Kakashi) before traveling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The context is clear from the fact that Sasuke gave Sakura a "maybe next time" (when he directly promised Naruto that they would settle things) and the forehead poke that represents distance and lies according to both Itachi AND Sasuke. That's why when Itachi is finally honest with Sasuke, he doesn't do a forehead poke and instead opts for a forehead touch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this reading is further confirmed by Sakura literally having to chase Sasuke (as confirmed by Karin during Gaiden) because he never came back.

I didn't know anybody even said this! So let me take a quick go at this <3 if i miss smth forgive me im just yapping on my phone rq
as OP said already, Wyll Ravengards entire identity is built on being a hero, a protector, and a skilled hunter of monsters and evildoers. He ofc is a warlock in game because of Mizora but his true nature very clearly aligns with the Ranger class more than ANY other class. and i do mean ANY. i love a bard/fighter/paladin wyll as much as any other but you would have to make blatant exceptions to the norms of those classes for wyll to fit into them. (i can elaborate if anybody asks but i don't wanna derail this post further unless asked lol)
One major misunderstanding I see about rangers (especially from people who only play bg3 and have never touched dnd which bg3 is based on) is that they are ranged in combat which is just so not true so we are gonna address that first lmao. There are several fighting styles to choose from within the class and some focus specifically on melee (such as the dueling fighting style) that can EASILY fit wylls canonical fighting styles.
now onto everything else
Rangers are for the most part explorers and hunters/defenders. which is... very much the whole Blade of Frontiers shtick. each ranger gets to pick a favored enemy type that you get some bonuses towards tracking them, recalling info about them, and communicating with them. very obvious that wylls favored enemy are fiends.
in addition to favored enemies, rangers also get the "natural explorer" feature which allows that character to have the equivalent of a 'favored terrain' that they get crazy bonuses for traveling through because they are so used to having to rough it out in the wilderness of these areas. does that not sound like wyll? who was banished from the city at 17 and has been making it on his own apart from that abhorrent devil for the past seven years?
Next let's talk about the subclasses. There are MULTIPLE subclasses that he makes perfect sense to have. monster slayer and hunter being the obvious low hanging fruit but i've also seen pretty good arguments made for gloomstalker
Let's talk magic!!! another misconception from people that don't really pay attention to the ranger class is that they basically have like druid magic? but only a little bit? noooooooo not true. these are two totally different classes! This class is gonna offer wyll spells that specifically align with his backstory and lore (such as hunters mark!) AND there are actually several spells/eldritch invocations that both warlocks and rangers get (of course depending on the subclass chosen) so they are spells that he really was already able to do through his pact and just had to re learn them rq (such as disguise self, speak with animals, fog cloud, darkness, and more!)
Anyways sorry OP hope you don't mind this addition and to everybody else <333 let ranger wyll ravengard into your heart
“I just can’t see Wyll as a ranger” I mean one of the most prevalent parts about rangers, in all the class & subclass descriptions I’ve seen, is that they protect people and the world. They’re probably the class doing the most to help people.

#don’t hide these golden tags#I would love to be info dumped upon in regards to Arthurian legend and names because I too have an interest in both 👀#bbc Merlin (via @loreylia) Hi hello the screenshot in the reblog above are my tags! I was rather flattered lol but got distracted, forgot about it (thank you adhd), and randomly - for no reason at all - remembered this and so here I am at 10pm on a Sunday night with 30 tabs open to double-check my own claims, so I can talk all your ears off about my niche interests. I hesitated on whether to add to this post or make my own, as I didn't want to hijack OP's post any further, but I thought the context of how this discussion came about would be interesting and helpful! (Sorry OP, I hope this is cool with you). By the way, OP did reblog with further name additions according to suggestions.
Disclaimer before I begin: I'm not an expert in any of these topics, I only find them extremely interesting. Also, I don't claim any of these to be hard cold facts, especially since this is arthuriana we're talking about and there are many different iterations and interpretations and theories, especially with regard to what Geoffrey of Monmouth took inspiration from, debates on what was embellished fact and what was fable. Yadda Yadda. Ok, you got that? You with me? Awesome!
What's The Deal With Merlin's Name?
Merlin, as we know him today - the old wizard, advisor to King Arthur, and known throughout pop culture with his many iterations - is thanks to Geoffrey of Monmouth. Geoffrey of Monmouth was an Anglo-Norman cleric and historian who compiled a History of the Kings of Britain in the 12th century, hundreds of years after King Arthur was said to have "lived" (which he very very very much did not [sorry], but it's theorised to be the 6th century, around the end of the Roman occupation of the British Isles and when the Saxons began to invade. Keep in mind; I am generalising SO MUCH because that's not the focus). Before this, Merlin had his own legends, folklore, beliefs, stories. His place in folklore is older than King Arthur's. And that version of Merlin is not precisely what modern culture knows him as. Geoffrey of Monmouth was inspired by two to three different "Merlins" that he mushed together. A smoothie of a man. Another way of looking at this, is that there were two main stages: pre-Geoffrey, aka the pre-Galfridian Welsh stage in which Merlin was known as a legendary prophet. And then the second stage; Geoffrey transforming Myrddin Wyllt into an internationally renowned wizard named Merlin who plays a crucial role in bringing about the conception of Arthur (he helps Uther out, instead of Nimueh, as we see in BBC Merlin.) So, let's discuss the name of Myrddin Wyllt, which I also mentioned in my tags when I reblogged OP's post. This version of his name is my personal favourite because it's the most Welsh. Most of Geoffrey's writings were inspired by Celtic - specifically Welsh - folklore, legends and history and I will continue to bring this up every time someone refers to King Arthur, Merlin, and Arthuriana at large as only English, no matter what. It had Welsh-inspired origins. ANYWAY Myrddin Wyllt was known as, in short, a Welsh warrior-bard that went mad after seeing his friends die in battle and lived the rest of his days as isolated as he could be in the forest; therefore, a wild man of the woods. Myrddin is a Welsh name meaning "sea fort" and Wyllt - which is more of an epithet - means "the Woods" or "the Wild". Therefore; Myrddin of the Woods/Myrddin of the Wild. This name, in itself, has several versions as well. Such as Merlinus Caledonensis (of Caledonia, the name of a forest in Scotland) and Merlin Sylvestris ("of the woods" in Latin). If you're interested, here's a recorded pronunciation for Myrddin Wyllt in Welsh. So, how did we get Merlin from Myrddin?
It's only the first name but here's my favourite fact ever about Merlin's name and it's about why he's called Merlin in the first place.
Seriously, I will try and bring this fact up whenever I can because it brings me so much stupid joy and is also a great ice breaker.
Geoffrey of Monmouth made his smoothie of a man and then set about naming him, and of course went with one of the names he already had, so as to make him recognisable. He chose Myrddin. However, he couldn't exactly leave the name as it was. He was an Anglo-Norman man writing a book of legends for his fellow non-Welsh people, and thus he had to latinise Myrddin.
However, writing Myrddin in Latin results in Merdinus. Now, if you speak a latin-based language, I bet you're already laughing. I really hope you are.
For everyone wanting me to just fucking get on with it already!!!! .. C'mere. No, come closer. Halve the name. Yeah, just halve it. Do it. You get "Merdi", don't you? Sounds rather a lot like "merde", doesn't it?
"Merde" in Anglo-Norman means "feces". (From the Latin "merda")
He'd named him Shitinus.
Can't have that. The other cleric historians would laugh at him. He'd be a laughing stock. He'd scandalise every elderly woman who could read. Or, if illiterate like most of the population at the time, listen to audio books (some guy orating in the town square).
So, big brain Geoffrey decided he'd switch out the D for an L. Thus Merlinus. Which, eventually, became Merlin.
This also means that; no, sorry but Merlin was not named after the bird. Yep, this bitch me is also into birds. A merlin is a type of kestrel (which is a small falcon). And as much as I adore the homonym, and as much as it is appropriate as Merlin himself is known as a shapeshifter in Arthuriana and loves to be a bird from time to time-- yeah sorry to burst your bubble. His name is not derived from the bird of the same name. It's a crab evolution situation (carcinisation).
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. ANYWAY. Time for the name Emrys. You see, Emrys is also a Welsh name, and it means "Immortal". (Now, connect that to BBC Merlin, and how fucking cool is that. You're called Immortal for a decade or more - maybe far more - of your life before you finally find out what it means and they tell you it means power, it means reverence, it means you stand alongside the sun in what keeps the world turning, but you just feel burdened, empty, tired, and like the mountain you stand on will erode away long before you feel peace.)
Wow where'd that come from. Anyway. Back on track.
I'm also OWO over this graph I found over it's popularity as a baby name and wow, yep, there are baby Emryses out there rn... Back on track back on track back on track back on tr--
In BBC Merlin, I feel like Emrys acts as a title and epithet more than anything, the name of his role as magic itself, what he truly is at his core. It belongs to Merlin and no one else. So, it always feels weird to me when - especially in modern fic - his mother is called Hunith Emrys. I mean, it's cool, it's just that my nerd-brain with too much unnecessary knowledge short-circuits a little bit lol. This is because, as a surname, it means it's typically inherited from your ancestors - exceptions to the rule aside - and so it sort of removes the significance of the name (especially in the context of BBC Merlin, rather than Arthuriana as a whole).
Geoffrey also took Emrys. And he also latinised it. Boom, you get Ambrosius.
Add them together and you get Merlinus Ambrosius.
Emrys/Ambrosius was also the name of a British general/commander/warrior, also known as Ambrosius Aurelianus. Though recently it's apparently?? i think?? been suggested there were two men named Emrys, possibly father and son whose stories were conflated. Anyway, this figure is also part of the smoothie Geoffrey blended to make his Merlin. This figure is said to have led a Romanised Britain against the invading Saxons (and so it's also theorised Geoffrey took a bit of this for his inspiration for King Arthur), and also confronts Vortigern (Uther's father) about his jenga tower having a dragon problem, the same way you might say "yeah mate you got termites".
Ambrosius Aurelianus is also the name of Uther's brother who, in Geoffrey's accounts, led a Romano-British army against the invading Saxons. Wow, familiar. However, this man is not Merlin - in Arthuriana, that is - as they are two people existing at the same time within the legend.
There's far more I want to say but it's 2 minutes to midnight, I have an early start, and my single brain cell is tucking itself in. So. Final thoughts:
Merlin's possessed many names, many epithets, many selves that were blended by Geoffrey of Monmouth armed with a nutribullet, and he also has many stories from his multiple origins that can provide names, too.
Names, such as:
Wild/Wilde
Woods
maybe he tries out Forest/Forrest
Caledonia/Caledonensis
Sylvestris/Sylvester
Silverwood if you want to have something that's pretty subtle but still an homage.
Ambrose
If your Merlin's had many identities thanks to a thousand plus years of existence, I bet he's had some wild ones like Draig (meaning dragon in Welsh). I can also seem him taking on Hunithson for a few lifetimes here and there, in honour of his mother.
You could even do something like Applewood, which is less to do with a name Merlin's been called and more to do with one of Myrddin Wyllt's most well-known legends (in short; after he went mad and ran into the woods, he took a rest in a crabapple orchard, bit into an apple and could now prophesise the future. Typical tuesday.)
Apples were considered to have great significance in celtic lore. How much significance do you ask? Well. Avalon means the Isle of Apples. That's how much significance lmao
I seriously could talk myself in circles about this forever, but I think I'll end this long-winded infodump here. I very much wanted to further infodump about some wild shit Myrddin Wyllt did and Lailoken and demon baby Merlin and and and-- but I tried my best to keep it to the names only, or this post would be longer than it is already.
If you want to know more, or have any questions, feel free to come say hi! I love talking about this stuff! And if you have anything to add, go for it!
In the meantime, thanks for reading! ---
EDIT: I corrected my Latin. I said "merde" was Latin for feces, when actually "merde" is Anglo-Norman for feces, which comes from "merda", the actual Latin word for feces. Oops. When I first typed that, I thought it wasn't quite right lol. In my defence, I did write this near-midnight lmaoooo. I also want to expand on the bit about the Merlin, the bird: the bird's name is derived from the Old French esmerillon via the Anglo-Norman merilun or meriliun. Despite the similarity, and the argument that Geoffrey of Monmouth was Anglo-Norman so there's a possibility; yeah nah. The bird was not named after Merlin and Merlin was not named after the bird. However, the homonym is VERY cool and allows for a lot of fun symbolism.
