6. good song for studying?

i don’t really have an answer for this one unfortunately 😔 i don’t really listen to music while studying, but if i were to, it’d probably either be whatever i’d regularly listen to, or some playlist of classical music.

i’ve got many of those, but i’m just gonna narrow it down to the ones i’ve been actively listening to lol - to pick just one (that i haven’t mentioned on my blog already) i’d say lost kitten by metric! i don’t listen to a ton of their music, but i’ve grown very fond of that song.

22. song in another language?

well. i’ve got a couple of those that i listen to. because most of what i listen to is japanese music so… i’ll give you a couple of my faves

chu, tayousei. by ano always hits the spot for me ngl.. the lyrics are fun, especially since the song is one of the ending themes for chainsaw man, they also go along with the storyline at that point so…

soranin by asian kung-fu generation is a really good one! it’s one of me and my brother’s faves by them. i really like the lyrics to it too.

angel of love by masahiro ikumi is a banger!! i haven’t seen perfect blue (i’d like to, just haven’t) but this song goes hard.

shissou by last alliance my beloved 🫶 this ending theme, and ouran host club will always hold a special place in my heart. i also really like the lyrics to this one tbh. both the opening and ending themes for host club are just genuinely good songs (the japanese versions though. not the english ones used in the dub of the show. those are not it. the english cover of shissou by cyyu is good though! much better than the one in the show..)

My favourite Jrock Band

With their return to Chile after 9 years, I wanted to talk about this band that I came to know thanks to the world of anime, but ended up listening to because of how catchy and emotional their music is. Asian Kung-Fu Generation was formed in 1996 in Yokohama, comprised of Masafumi Gotoh (vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Kensuke Kita (lead guitarist and backup vocalist), and Takahiro Yamada (bassist). Drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi later joined from another band, thus forming the band's current core. They have a total of 11 studio albums and several compilation EPs, with the first two albums "Kimi Tsunagi Five M" (2003) and "Sol-fa" (2004) standing out the most to my taste, with the latter being re-recorded in 2016. The band gained worldwide recognition for their soundtracks in the anime world, being part of Naruto, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, and other renowned anime series.

The band's musical style is heavily influenced by alternative-rock and indie-rock bands of the 1990s such as Weezer, Radiohead, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. This is also combined with a wide variety of other genres such as hardcore punk, pop, and heavy metal. Therefore, the sounds of the band's songs are a mixture of elements from these genres, such as fast tempos, distorted guitars, transgressive and emotional lyrics, strong melodies, and catchy choruses.

To conclude, I wanted to mention my favorite songs from the band, which I recommend listening to:

"After-Dark", a song from the album "World World World" (2008), which conveys a message of perseverance and keeping hope alive despite life's uncertainties. Additionally, it is the 7th opening of the anime Bleach.
