Meet Sophie!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m gonna be real with y’all, I have too much art of her. She’s the realest ever.
(Pangur is here also because I saw that photo of her and it was just. The right vibes. hey Pangur! @pangur-and-grim )
I don’t have any of the normal stats for her that I do for the other characters, first of all because I made this doodle a long time ago, but second of all because she is unknowable!!!
Facts that you get instead-
Name: Sophie [REDACTED]
Pronouns: Any/all, usually just uses she/her, but you use neopronouns for them, xe’ll probably kiss you
Sophie is on tech support! What does she do there? Who the fuck knows!!!!!!

Patty needs to brush up on her reading comprehension. The ask clearly state that the BIFA hasn't happen yet.
Since the movie has only been shown in festival, the fact that it got 9 nominations is a big deal. And yes, it's a good sign for award season.
No, you can't just buy nominations. Besides, isn't Ben supposed to be broke because Sophie stole all his money? TEWSF has gotten great reviews so far. That's something Patty is also ignoring.
Maybe if Patty and her cult members had done prer research before claiming the movie was going straight to streaming, they wouldn't have to work this hard to explain why they're wrong. Hopefully, the strike will be over by December and we'll get loads of pictures of Ben and Sophie on the red carpet. Just so the real Team Z can lose their shit again.

IFC MIDNIGHT and SHUDDER close multi-territory deal to gothic revenge tale ‘SHE WILL’ from director CHARLOTTE COLBERT, executive produced by DARIO ARGENTO
IFC Midnight and Shudder announced that they are closing a multi-territory deal for SHE WILL, the BIFA nominated psychological horror directed by artist and filmmaker Charlotte Colbert. The film stars Alice Krige (THOR, GRETEL & HANSEL, SLEEPWALKERS), Kota Eberhardt (DARK PHOENIX), BAFTA® Award winner Rupert Everett (MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING, AN IDEAL HUSBAND), Amy Manson (SPENCER), Jonathan Aris (THE DEATH OF STALIN, ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD) and Malcolm McDowell (A CLOCKWORK ORANGE). The film was produced by Jessica Malik and Bob Last, written by Kitty Percy and Charlotte Colbert and attracted a top-level production team including editor Yorgos Mavropsaridis (THE FAVOURITE), composer Clint Mansell (BLACK SWAN) and cinematographer Jamie Ramsay (MOTHERING SUNDAY, LIVING). Ed Pressman, Dario Argento, Sam Pressman, Ed Clarke, Sam Cryer, Hannah Leader, Thorsten Schumacher and Sara Woodhatch were executive producers.
Tumblr media
The film won the Golden Leopard for Best First Film at Locarno Film Festival and was in the official selection at the London Film Festival, Sitges, Fantastic Fest and Thessaloniki. IFC Midnight will release the film in theaters and on demand in North America in 2022, with Shudder taking the first streaming window. The film will also release in territories including Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America.
The film, presented by horror legend Dario Argento (SUSPIRIA), has garnered strong reviews; Alfonso Cuarón has said that “it sits in the tradition of great psychological horror films which leaves one questioning long after it is finished” and Variety described it as “A superb, sly horror-drama debut delivering otherworldly feminist vengeance.”
SHE WILL is a gothic fairy tale about Veronica Ghent (Alice Krige) who after a double mastectomy, goes to a healing retreat in rural Scotland with her young nurse Desi (Kota Eberhardt).  She discovers that the process of such surgery opens up questions about her very existence, leading her to start to question and confront past traumas. The two develop an unlikely bond as mysterious forces give Veronica the power to enact revenge within her dreams.
Arianna Bocco, President of IFC Films, said, “Charlotte Colbert has brought us an inventive and provocative directorial debut with SHE WILL.  The film exudes a timeliness with an evocative feminist critique that singles her out as one of the genre’s exciting new voices to contend with. We are thrilled to welcome her into the IFC Midnight family.”
“I am delighted to be working with IFC, Shudder, Vertigo and all the distribution partners to release the film this year. I hope the coven will come out to see it on the big screen” added director Charlotte Colbert.
Executive Producer Dario Argento adds, “SHE WILL is an excursion into the world of witchery, madness, dreams, which together create an intoxicating atmosphere.”
Craig Engler, GM for Shudder, added, “Charlotte Colbert has crafted an assured and mesmerizing debut feature with SHE WILL, a wickedly smart and socially relevant horror with exceptional performances from its outstanding cast. We can’t wait to share its witchy wonders with Shudder members around the world.”
The deal was negotiated by IFC Films’ President Arianna Bocco and  Manager of Acquisitions Adam Koehler with Rocket Science’s Head of Sales, Claire Taylor. Rocket Science also closed deals in UK (Vertigo), France (Alba Films) Spain (Filmin), South Africa (FilmFinity), Portugal (Lusomundo), CIS (Arna Media). Rocket Science is handling worldwide sales at EFM.
Charlotte Colbert is an established artist and an award-winning filmmaker. Her artwork has been shown internationally at prestigious institutions including Somerset House, Saatchi Gallery, Art Basel. Colbert has also written and directed award-winning short films including The Silent Man with Simon Amstell and Sophie Kennedy Clarke and written an array of award-winning screenplays for Olivier Dahan, Eric Cantona, Tony Grisoni, and with Harry Wootliff and Laurence Coriat.
IFC Midnight is home to some of the most exciting new voices in genre film of the last decade, including Natalie Erika James’ RELIC, Dave Franco’s THE RENTAL, Jennifer Kent’s THE BABADOOK, Carlo Mirabella Davis’ SWALLOW, and the latest film from Peter Strickland premiering at the upcoming Berlinale, FLUX GOURMET. Most recently, IFC Midnight brought the critically acclaimed Finnish horror film HATCHING to the 2022 Sundance for its world premiere, directed by first-timer Hanna Bergholm - currently 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and opening in theaters and VOD on April 29th, as well as coming on board for the highly buzzed about 2022 Sundance title directed by Chloe Okuno, WATCHER, starring Maika Monroe (IT FOLLOWS).

RETRIEVING FILE...
FILE RETRIEVED, READY TO PLAY
"time travel thing notes" RECORDED 13 AUGUST, [YEAR REDACTED]
NOTES: found this thang in storage, creators of the VASM? wild if true, this man sounds dumber than a petrified dog turd - 🩵 soph
This thang featured the voice talents of Beck Andrews ( @beckandrewsart ) as Pete and Blakelee Holmes as Valerie.
(Transcript under the cut)
A man and a woman talk in a moving vehicle. Other cars whir by in the distance.
Pete: listen, V, it could happen!
Valerie: Pete-
Pete: Ian has the tech. His brother made the floor plan. The only thing left to do is just... fuckin’… do it!
Val: No, Peter, the only thing left to do is figure out what the hell you're doing! You have an idea of what vaguely resembles a commune masqarading as a business. You and your idiot friends tripped and fell into, okay, like, some of the highest tech that has ever existed. Good for you guys! But you have NO IDEA what you’re gonna do with it, so you're just gonna... what? Fuck around and find out?
Pete: We're getting there!
Valerie: Getting WHERE?
Pete: To! The plan!
Valerie: Getting... to... the plan? You're making a floor plan and you're still figuring out what to do with it peter? Do you fucking hear yourself?
Pete: Christ, get off my case, Valerie! We're gonna do something good, we just... need to figure out how! And what!
Valerie, incredulous: God, you're so... you're so lucky you're cute, Pete.
Pete: I'm going to take that as a compliment.
Beat of silence
Valerie: Are you- are you still recording this?
Pete: …yes? I need to have it going in case I say something good!
Val: For the love of-
Pete: No, don’t- don't, hey-!
Recording ends

Benedict is his most tongue tied when he is trying to be secretive. He is a lousy liar, so he tries to speak truthfully without giving things away. Go back to the British Independent Film Awards, the one with Sophie in the brown leather dress. They are so giggly and “secret smiles” at that event. They knew she was pregnant, they were already engaged and they were keeping a secret from the whole world. Who cares what Benedict may or may not have said in red carpet comments, it’s not sworn court testimony.
( had to edit this post, the BIFAs were after the engagement announcement, not before. I always get that wrong).
You know, I’m really going to miss @annashipper questioms of the day. Lord knows we all need a good laugh these days. Here is her act of stupidity of the day:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The haters denial is always so funny. This isn’t the first time Anna has used that argument to prove their was no wedding and kid. Does she really think that: a) the engagement happened the day it was put in the Times, b) that Ben would discuss the details and give the date ahead of time and c) that you can plan a wedding on Valentine’s day at the last minute?
Ben is a very private person, it’s clear he wasn’t going to tell the journalists when he was getting married. He didn’t want to tell how he proposed ffs. And there’s the pregnancy argument, now I’m not obsessed enough to try and figure out Kit’s conception date, but I know that pregnancies last 40 weeks (that’s 10 months) and that children can be born late. So it is entirely plausible that Ben and Sophie were already talking marriage when they found out she was pregnant. In fact, that’s what happened because BEN SAID IT. But since the haters are living in denial land, they need to dismiss the facts.
As for Annashitter being baffled, I must say I am too. I’m baffled that a 42 year old woman could spend her day acting like a 3 year old. How the hell can someome so stupid function in real life?
