#Sonic the Remix

Because it's a novel way to explore characters: how would each of the sonic cast react to having a Pet Kitty fall asleep on them? (Not a motion cat, just for extra clarification)

Answering for personal AU takes. First foremost it IS worth remembering Sonic is only like 3ft tall so a standard non-anthro housecat is going to be pretty large on him and other characters are scaled accordingly.

Sonic: this is the worst thing you can inflict on him honestly he will probably end up shooing the cat off because he needs to pee or something but until he does he will be sitting there vibrating in subtextual agony because he doesn't want to be a jerk but he didn't expect to stay here at this angle and aaaugh

Tails: he CAN move the cat but imagine the emotional toll. Will probably ask someone else to move the cat if he really has to move. (this might be how Sonic got into the situation)

Amy: the only one out of Team Sonic who would have the emotional fortitude to move the cat herself and not take it personally. Relatedly, the only one of them that has regularly been around pets. It's basically just like Vanilla's chao Biscuit falling asleep on you, right? no big deal.

Knuckles: Angel Island has local terror birds that sometimes try to nest on you if you're warm and cozy or in their sunny spot, this is basically just like that, will not let it stop him but also probably will just hold/carry the cat until it feels like moving on its own. He has possibly never seen a non-mobian cat before in his life and is pleased when someone actually explains to him what that is but he won't ask otherwise.

Eggman: prefers his animals at a distance, no thank you, will move the cat immediately. Preferably all the way out of the premises. And then he has to review his security measures because how did the cat get in? Gets his entire train of thought derailed about the possibilities of cat-based security testing before reminding himself that would put him closer to the cat than he wants to be.

Shadow: must be naptime cheers he'll pass out to that

Rouge: would annoyedly move it to another spot but probably give in if it kept coming back to her for a snuggle. It's soft and cute, she's not completely heartless.

Omega: would not notice the cat is there, it is probably snuggled up by one of his heat vents. even if he notices its weight is negligible and it doesn't disrupt him. this would end up like that batman-baby comic panel where he threatens people into standing down by pointing out he can absolutely destroy them and they know it and he will be very displeased if they make him drop his precious cargo.
