Sonic movie hcs because I’ve been waiting for people in the community to get into these movies (I’m usually just a lurker blog who likes posts because I was too lazy to make my own t-blog, but I’ve been waiting too long for this)

- when sonic was first introduced to the wachowski household he was so freaking touch starved

- he would sometimes see people around green hills have tickle fights or see a scene on TV where a character gets tickled and he always wanted to experience that

- he has some memories of Longclaw tickling him as a baby, but he was so young he doesn’t remember a whole lot (cries)

- Tom was the first to find out he’s ticklish (he tickled him for eating the last donut he was saving)

- Sonic would never admit it, but he thinks being tickled is super fun

- Tom and Maddie totally know that though

- he’s the kind to pester them if he’s in the mood for a tickle fight

- ticklish ears because I said so, also a switch like none other

- while Tails was watching Sonic he witnessed all these tickle fights they had (and felt the same way Sonic did, wanting to be a part of one)

- of course Sonic was the first to tickle him

- they had a pillow fight and Sonic used tickling to his advantage

- Is the #1 victim of tickle fights because he’s so dang adorable

- also enjoys being ticked, but if you think he can’t hold his own in a tickle fight than think again

- he definitely gets Sonic back often

- very ticklish ribs

- Lee leaning switch

- Knuckles isn’t as involved in tickle fights as the others

- trained warrior, raised to show no weakness, you know the drill

- doesn’t mean he’s not ticklish

- Maddie was actually the first to tickle him because Sonic felt too intimidated (knowing how strong he is), but Maddie is the one person he would never fight back against, even if it meant holding back every one of his instincts

- After that Sonic and Tails got more bold dragging him into their tickle fights

- they’re extremely aware of his limits though, he sometimes loses control of his strength and sends one flying

- he always does his best to not hurt them, especially Tails. He’s a bit more lenient with Sonic since he knows he can take a full on punch, but he works on controlling his strength

- he doesn’t get involved often, but when he does he takes it very seriously, because an echidna warrior always emerges victorious, aka ler

Movie!Shadow Tickle Headcanons

This is low hanging fruit i know but Maria 100% taught him what tickling was and that he was ticklish

The two were watching a movie in her room and a tickle scene came on for just a few seconds, but it was enough to make him curious about it

it took Maria a good while to find a suitable explanation because??? how does one break down and explain the concept of tickling and being ticklish??? Eventually she decided it would be better to show him

He still doesn't get it at first because she has to look for a spot (his sides surprisingly aren't that ticklish), but a few scritches on his stomach and he got the idea pretty quickly

Something fun they (read: Maria) liked to do was pretend to do doctor check-ups. Similar to what scientists on the ARK already did, but in a lot less stuffy/sterile environment. And all the "tests" are just Maria seeing what all she can get away with before the hedgehog starts fighting back.

Such a squirmy thing!!! Smacks people or teleports out of the way on instinct. He's not big on getting revenge until he meets Sonic and co.

Genuinely dislikes being tickled or the mere mention of it for a good while post-Sonic 3. When he eventually warms up enough to the Wachowskis, he ends up watching a cartoon with Sonic and Tails. Sonic then gets a horrible idea.

Sonic had found out he was ticklish and had chased him until he finally managed to get him down long enough to tickle him properly. His endless jokes and teasing had pissed Shadow off so bad that the two ended up getting into a tickle fight that may or may not have caused a power outage in Green Hill.

Shadow gets way too into it and starts stealth tickle attacking Sonic as revenge so much that it turns into a competition of how many times he can catch people with surprise tickles

Everyone starts retaliating until it turns into all-out war

It starts out as Shadow holding a grudge for Sonic, but once it's become something everyone's in on, Shadow secretly enjoys the whole thing after a while. Everyone else knows though

He justifies his newfound interest with keeping the other three on their toes. Training, if you will. "You need to stay vigilant." He says, like he hasn't been plotting on the best way to jump on them.

At one point, Shadow tried to train himself to not be ticklish. This fails spectacularly when Sonic occasionally teams up with Tails to “test” his progress.

So far he's gotten Tails the most, though Sonic is a very close second. After almost destroying the house too many times, Shadow's not allowed to attack Knuckles unless they're outside.

Shadow eventually makes a truce with Maddie, allowing occasional ear scritches if and only if she promises not to mention it to anyone. He secretly finds it calming, but if anybody so much as teases him about it, the deal is off.

Shadow once accidentally Chaos Controlled himself into a closet while trying to escape Sonic. It takes him a full five minutes to come out, and he refuses to talk about it.

Hallo) How are you all doing?) I decided to post one of my fanfiction stories here. In this case, it's a story on the world of Sonic, where our heroes have fun on a beautiful summer day. I was inspired by @ratrrriot​ drawings and headcanon, I highly recommend checking their page, their art is wonderful!

I also want to apologize to the ratrrriot themselves, if I suddenly frightened them with a link in the question from myself, which I sent them a month ago or so. If it was decided to just ignore the question, that's okay too. (I also do not deny the fact that the question could simply not reach them and get lost ._ .)

High noon. There was silence all around, disturbed only by the rustling of leaves and the flight of insects. In the open clearing, Sonic and Tails stood.

They faced each other. Sparks were almost literally running between them, so tense was the atmosphere among them. They waited for each other's actions.

Sonic raised his hand with his gun in an instant. But Tails was more nimble. The water jet hit Sonic right in the eye. Hedgehog immediately dropped his gun, covering his face with his hands.

- Yay!!! I won! - Tails rejoiced, throwing up his hands in joy. - I'm the fastest shooter! Ha ha!

His joy didn't last long. When he saw Sonic kneeling down and continuing to cover his face, he immediately sensed something wrong.

- Sonic? Are you okay?

- Right in the eye... - said his friend, massaging his face.

Tails understood at once and rushed to help him.

- Oh, Chaos! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it! - he ran up to Sonic, tossing his pistol aside. - How much did it hurt?

Tails gently tried to pull Sonic's arms aside to see how bad it was. But to his surprise he saw a satisfied smirk on his friend's face, which confused him. Sonic took advantage of this.

- Tickle attack!

The little fox managed only to shriek as Sonic began to tickle him quickly.

- Aha-ha-ha! No! Not the tickling! - laughed Tails trying to defend himself.

Unbalanced, they both fell to the ground. Sonic tickled him some more, then hugged him and kissed his cheek.

- Ew, ah-ha-ha! - Tails chuckled some more, shielding himself from the kiss that followed. - Why do you like kissing me so much?

- Because you're my favorite friend! - Sonic smiled. - Almost like a little brother! And I want to express my love to you!

- Ew, ha ha... oh...

Tails froze, looking away, Sonic followed his gaze. Amy was standing next to them and she was staring at them intently, folding her arms across her chest. The shadows made her face look menacing. There was an awkward pause.

- I. Knew it. - She said slowly and clearly.

- A... um... Amy-Amy! W-W-Wait! It's n-n-not... it's not what you think! - Tails knew right away where this was going and tried to handle the situation.

- No, Amy! That's exactly what it is!

Sonic jumped up from the ground, holding Tails like a toy. The little fox only blinked in surprise.

- I've loved Tails for a long time! - Sonic sounded a little too theatrical. - He's the only one who understands me and shares my interests. He's the best person I've ever met. And because of that, Amy, I love him and I choose him to be my husband!

- Sonic, what are you doing?? - Tails looked at his friend with undisguised horror. - She's gonna kill you! And me, too!

- How could you? - Amy spoke, in a suddenly theatrical voice, too.

The little fox turned on her in confusion. Amy, meanwhile, got into her most tragic pose and continued.

- We've always been together! I gave you attention, care! I even made you chili dogs! And you leave me for little Tails? How could you?

She ran up to them and deftly grabbed the still-uncomprehending Tails out of Sonic's arms.

- If that's the case, I'm taking Tails! - Amy said theatrically majestically. - I will make him my husband, and will love him with all my heart!

Sonic made the most shocked expression he could. At that moment, the little fox came to his senses and freed himself from Amy's arms.

- What are you playing at? - he tried to understand. - I'm not marrying anyone! Come on!

- Tails! Pick me! - Sonic got down on one knee in front of him.

- No! Pick me! - Amy repeated after Sonic.

Tails was even more confused, not knowing what to do. He didn't want to choose.

- But I can't choose either one of you guys, - he tried to step back. - You're both like family to me!

Sonic and Amy looked at each other.

- Well... - Sonic said. - If that's the case, we have no other choice, - he raised his hand slowly, wiggling his fingers. A grim smile slowly appeared on his face. - We have to do this, Amy.

- I'm afraid so, Sonic, - Amy parodied his smile in a flash, raising her hand in the same way. - We'll have to tickle him.

- Uh... a-am... guys? - Tails had already figured it out and prepared to run. A nervous smile played on his face.

- Tails~ - Both hedgehogs said in unison as they slowly started to get up and walk toward him.

The little fox immediately run of, with a loud shriek. His friends ran after him. They could have easily caught up with him and captured him, but it was much more interesting to chase him. Tails ran away from them for a while, until suddenly he noticed a familiar figure in the distance. There stood a bored Knuckles, staring peacefully at the clouds.

- Knuckles! Help! - Tails shouted, trying not to laugh out of nervousness.

Sonic and Amy noticed the echidna, too, but didn't stop chasing Tails. They only stopped when the little fox ran up to a surprised Knuckles.

- Knuckles! Sonic and Amy want to tickle me to death! - Tails flew up to his friend, standing right next to him. - Please help me!

Knuckles looked first at him, then at his pursuers, then back at him. And didn't hold back a chuckle, trying hard not to smile. The little fox understood everything at once.

- No... - Tales chuckled to himself at the realization that Knuckles was about to join in the fun, too.

Knuckles quieted his laughter and said to Sonic and Amy with a calm smile.

- Tickle me.

For a second, everyone froze in incomprehension. But then creepy smiles appeared on the faces of all three friends, and they prepared their hands to attack. Knuckles was surprised by their behavior, and then realized his mistake in an instant.

- N-No! W-Wait, wait! I meant to say "him"! "Him," not "me!" A-a-a-a-a! - And started running away from all three of them.

So the four friends had fun together, and then they went to eat ice cream and relax under the beautiful summer sun.

Team Sonic Tickle Headcanons

Not really gonna categorize them, they're all just jumbled together oops

Out of the three of them, Sonic is by far the meanest ler out of them. Neither Tails or Knuckles care much for tickling others unless it's for revenge

On the other hand, Sonic is also the biggest lee out of them all, with Tails in second and Knuckles in third

That poor fox,,,,Sonic and Knuckles never let him rest, especially if he's been up tinkering with some gadget or gizmo for a while

Knuckles struggled with understanding the idea of tickling and thought it was some form of fighting. It took a hedgehog shaped hole in a wall for Maddie to sit him down and explain it to him in a way he'd understand

The three once had a tickle fight over the last slice of a cake Maddie made. Tom ended up taking it while they were distracted.

None of them are really the teasing type. Sonic technically 'teases' the most but it's mostly just him stating the obvious and making various corny comments

Tickle fights between them are way too common for Maddie's liking. If she senses any funny business, she makes them take it outside. She's paid for enough house damages caused by them.

Tails gets the hiccups if he's been tickled for a while

Sonic is 100% the type to irritate the hell out of people if he's feeling particularly mischievous. Tails and Tom both entertain his shenanigans the most, Knuckles actually wants to spar to get him to leave him alone, and Maddie could go either way. She usually indulges him, but sometimes she'll usher him to bother Tom while there's nothing going on with his job.

Knuckles is very ticklish. Shockingly ticklish, even! It just takes the other two forever to actually pin him down and get him laughing, and it usually doesn't last very long unless Knuckles lets them.

Speaking of Knuckles, if Sonic or Tails wants his help to take down the other, the echidna is very easily bribed with grapes.

Despite this, Knuckles didn't even know he was ticklish until he saw Sonic and Tails play fighting and made the mistake of asking what they were doing

Tails' tails are devious weapons of mass destruction and he's not afraid to use them. Yall can't tell me he doesn't have an insane amount of control in those things

Whenever Sonic """runs""" away from whoever's trying to tickle him, he has so much fun during the chase!!! Then he remembers the situation he's gotten himself into and panics

Knuckles only knows how to tickle roughly. He just goes straight for the kill if he knows where their worst spots are. Tails is slowly teaching him to be gentle, though.

3. Despite his tough exterior, Shadow is actually quite sensitive and emotional. When he's feeling down or stressed out, he sometimes asks Sonic to tickle him as a way to release his tension and feel better.

4. Shadow is particularly ticklish on his sides, but he also has a ticklish spot under his chin that he tries to hide. Sonic discovered this spot by accident one day when he was tickling Shadow and accidentally brushed his chin, causing him to burst into laughter.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Sonouge Headcanons, the #1 Tumblog dedicated to headcanons about Sonouge, the romantic pairing of Sonic the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat! I realize this isn't the most popular Sonic couple ever, but there is still a rather substantial market, so I figured I'd not only appeal to said market, but maybe also try to get other people hooked on Sonouge.

Actually, I have to admit, somebody I met on FanFiction.net years ago made quite a good case for Sonouge. I forget all the details, but their case basically stated that Sonic and Rouge's mutual love of freedom as well as Sonic's cocky attitude and Rouge's cheeky nature made them great for each other.

OK, I've gotten off track. Before you submit anything, I do have rules for this blog, and they are as follows:

This blog will try to be as SFW as possible. I will post some NSFW stuff, and I will accept NSFW submissions, but…

Sonic the Hedgehog Headcanon

Knuckles accidentally calls Tikal “Tickle” and this somehow binds her to the mortal plane, thus she and Knuckles now live together.

Ok, headcanon time! Set in Modern, but a couple of years later. The gang had a fun day on the beach and now Sonic and Amy are alone nearly sunset. She then gently (please let her be gentle) tries to get him into the water, but fails bc of his stubborness, so she goes alone and fakes she's drowning bc she knows he would come to her rescue~ (he obviously does hehe) A while later a flustered Sonic finally enters the water with Amy, and I don't know how to follow that, so its up to you! ♥

So… is it okay if I mix a bit of Sonic X into this Modern Sonamy?

Prompt:

lying outside the rim of the ocean’s crawling waves, Sonic remains happily under a tree in shades, having bee asked a while ago by Amy via a message from Tails that she wanted to spend time with him.

Since she was growing jealous of Sonic only speaking to Tails for a few months, Sonic thought it only fair to comply to at least one of her wishes.

Taking her to a pleasant beach location where no one really goes too, Amy splashed and swam in the clear water, having the sunset light up the ocean around her.

She was enjoying herself while on land with him, showing him how to make a sand castle as he non-chalantly put the rocks and leaves over it before yawning as he shifted to his side, placing a hand up to the side of his face and closing his eyes.

Knowing Sonic though, that didn’t mean he was necessarily bored, but rather, meant he was relaxed and content.

However, being alone in the water all by herself made her squat down a moment in the shallower part of the sea, and wave up to try and catch a sleeping Sonic’s attention.

“Oi! Sonic!” she called, cupping her hands around her mouth to have the sound travel farther.

He slightly lowered his head to have the shades just barely tug on his nose to stay in place, but still sliding down so he could look better out to see her from the glare of the lowering sun.

“Hmm?” he barely spoke above a normal speaking tone, but through the action, Amy saw at a distance that he was listening.

In glee at being noticed, she sprung back from her bended knees and used the momentum to momentarily leap out of the water, before kicking her legs up at him.

“Come try and swim with me!”

“…Em.” he moved his deep, almost a scowling frown to the side of his face. Clearly displeased by that notion, he bobbed his head up to get the sunglasses back in place, keeping his hands behind his head as he rested along a small palm-tree. “I think I’ll pass.” He went right back to dozing off before her voice stirred him again.

“Sooniiicc!!!”

She patted the water, creating more splashes. “Come on! You know half the world is made of water, right? One day, you’re going to have to explore it to if you really want to claim you’ve seen it all.” She smiled, knowing her point was true to home.

It was a convincing idea…

But this was Sonic The Hedgehog.

“Heh.” he chuckled at her logic, before gesturing a hand up in a teasing spin of the wrist, slightly stretching in the process of his mocking. “And what a shame that is.. ahh..” he relaxed again back down, placing the hand on his stomach and smacking his lips from a good rest.

He let himself slide down the front of the trunk and only had his head bent incredibly forward as the rest of his back finally laid across sand.

It was a good scratch though, going down with his exhale on the rough terrain of the tree.

The wind was pleasant too…

He slightly lifted the back of his head against the tree, smelling the pleasant breeze, only getting a slight whiff of Amy’s natural clothes lying just a little ways away from him and along a tree.

He looked over there a moment, seeing them draped over it as her bathing suit had been placed underneath.

But really? Did she need that much perfume for a beach trip?

He rolled his eyes and continued to try and sleep, flopping an arm over his eyes.

“Just swim away, Amy… Swim away…” he slightly chanted, before breathing out his mouth again to try and take another snooze.

She glared, pouting. “You’re suppose to spend time with me!”

“Emm…grr…” he tossed a bit, realizing she wasn’t going to drop it. She had given him enough time for a cat nap though, so he knew he had to entertain her a little while more before she would be content enough to let him doze off again.

He leaned up, blinking his sleepy, lazy eyes. “Then come out here. The land has far more interesting things in it.” He almost whined, not really wanting to put up with her at the moment, but not denying her the time she rightfully deserved.

He turned around and placed his face to the still warmed sand… slowly becoming less and less a heated ground for Sonic to sleep on.

This made him kinda gloomy, but he heard splashing and his name being called, and figured she was complaining.

“I’m not gonna move..” he retorted, snuffing some sand out to make a small indent in it’s wake.

The splashing… grew more violent.

He blinked his eyes opened, before trying to settle on the sand again. “Amy… Can you just make up your mind already?”

Then he couldn’t hear his name. Muffling sounds of gurgles finally shot his eyes open, making him immediately shot upright and look around.

Amy’s hands were flailing about, and her head was mostly under the water…

“…Amy?” Like a guard dog, his ears shifted forward and his kneeling body slowly rose up, trying to examine better the situation.

In alert of what his eyes and ears could see, his senses heightened and he immediately looked to a huge, elongated rock formation that served as a type of pillar towards the ocean.

His face turned serious as he dashed over to it, slipping and sliding a little around it’s smoothed surface, due to water crashing over it through the years, and got pretty close to her.

He sucked in some air, and dived.

Grabbing her and feeling her pulling on him for air, he immediately landed his feet in the shallow waters, completely submerged, to help her breathe.

He slightly glared up, ‘Wonders of water, eh?’ he mocked, before trying to hold her torso up and walk on the bottom of the surface.

When he felt his lungs tighten, his eyes squinted and began to go blurry.

He immediately felt Amy stop struggling and so he let her go, trying his best to ‘attempt’ at swimming up but only being dropped back down.

‘Come on! Where’s an air bubble when you need one?!’

Amy suddenly twisted her body down, and he noticed she looked perfectly alright as she took his shoulders, and tapped them.

He was confused, so she wiggled her arms under his armpits, making him almost laugh at the tickling sensation before plugging his mouth and realizing… that was the last of his air!

She then pushed off the ground and hoisted him up, as he clung to her after flopping his arms about a bit, doggy-paddling as best as he could improvise to her side.

She laughed, making him start connecting dots a moment before pulling him to shore.

“Ack!” Sonic coughed a few times, before Amy lay down, still laughing.

Sonic looked down at her…

Amy lay motionless to the ground.

“Amy! Amy!” Sonic kept trying to move her body, spark some kind of… signs of life or whatnot.

But Amy remained without so much as a sound of air.

He immediately panicked, but in all the right ways.

He held his ear to her chest, bending down over her to do so and could faintly hear a sign of life… but it wasn’t strong enough.

It didn’t even match his own racing one.

“Come on, Amy. You’ve got this.” He leaned back up, pressing down on her heart, trying to get it back to working properly at it’s normal capacity.

She only moved under his presses, before he finally pushed harder.

When he realized that wasn’t doing much good, he took matters into his own hands…

Sonic stared at Amy’s face, bursting with joy and life.

He remembered slowly bending down, tilting the arch of her neck to get a airflow going, and lightly pressing down his mouth over hers.

With a rush of air, he had revived her into a cough, and took the necklace of stringed shells she had made for him.

He left her in the hands of Chris, Tails, and Cream… needing to get away, to calm himself down from losing something he never thought could be lost.

“Haha… Sonic? Are you okay?” Noticing his stare, Amy suddenly stopped and rolled over, lightly touching his chest to try and stop her rolling from hitting him.

“You’re not mad at me.. are you?”

He just stared, before ducking his head down.

“No…” he admitted, his eyes searching the ground for nothing in particular, just trying to get his thoughts back in order.

“I’m not mad.”

“Good… hehe. I knew you could if you tried!” Amy turned back to the sky, spreading her arms out.

He looked back over, using his elbows to stay a bit upright as the rest of him lay with the waves crashing over him.

He watched as she leaned her head back, sparking further memories of times long passed and for a second…

Nah.

He shook his head, looking away.

“Not again.”

“Hmm?”

He shook his head once more, getting up, one foot in front of the other.

He started to walk off.

“I’m just glad you’re okay,… Amy.”

“Sonic?” Amy tilted her head, looking backwards at him before turning around and moving her head properly.

“Sonic! You really are mad! I’m sorry!” She rushed to get him again, pulling on his arm. “Don’t go! Please! N-now that you’re wet, just play a moment in the water with me. Please? It’s so much fun under there if-”

He looked back at her, showing he wasn’t okay with the trickery.

“I’m not mad.” he stated again, a little more clearly so she knew that wasn’t the issue.

He knew Cream thought Tails and Chris had pulled her out of the water, but the truth was… he had done it.

It was adrenaline and impulse… but he survived to get her to safety. They weren’t even there when he brought her back from the bleak moment of…

He dared not think of it.

He turned away from her, “I just prefer the land, Amy.”

She watched as he looked down and stomped firmly at the dirt, away from the sand now.

“Sturdy… strong… unwavering.” He then turned to give her a smile. “Kinda like you.”

“I was about to say that about you.” Amy closed her eyes, smiling back in understanding, before going to get her clothes and rushing back. “I really am sorry…” Her eyes arched to show her apology was sincere

He shook his head down and put a hand behind his head, scratching it.

“Yeah… I know.” he looked forward, before placing his hands on his hips. “Just don’t do it again, alright?” He smiled over his shoulder, though not really looking her in the eye, mostly the gesture showed he was addressing her, before swaggering off into a casual walk into the bush.

She nodded, “I just knew you would come if I seemed in danger.” she followed after him before he stopped, and turned around more abruptly now, batting his eyes as if confused on that statement.

“You mean… someone wouldn’t?” he then looked to her, oddly confused at her logic. “Amy, anyone would have-”

“But you did faced something you didn’t want to do for me. I call that honorable.”

“Selfless. Admirable. ‘Princey’?” he mockingly lifted fingers up at each attribute of a ‘hero’ he listed off, or at least what the act called for in a person, before she cut him off and grabbed his arm.

“Hehe~ Or romantic~” She played, but he knew there was some truth in what she had said.

He rolled his eyes, and pushed a hand up to her face with a smile, shoving her away.

“Alright, Little Merhog. Calm down.”

“Hey! the Mermaid saved the prince in that one!” she skipped right back up to his side, not phased by his playful actions. She was already used to him, anyhow, and him to her.

“Did it ever occur to her that maybe he wasn’t looking to be rescued?”

“Tell that to your blue face!”

“My face is always blue!”

“You were about to lose all your air!”

“This is just another reason why water- sucks!”

“…Would you have said that if I really did almost drown?”

She swayed her body left and right, putting her hands behind her back as he jumped up on a huge log, looking back with a side-taunt before offering her his hand.

“You’re asking if I’d perform life-saving actions in the case of a real situation, correct?” he turned his head slightly back, but she gave him a look and continued to sway, turning away a moment as if playing coy.

He gruffed, lowering his hand, before bending down more to encourage her to take his hand, lifting the other one up now and gesturing for her to come closer. “Pfft! If I wanted to let you die, I wouldn’t have jumped in. End of story. Come on. Quit trying to play cute.”

“I am cute!” Amy leaned forward, offended slightly but just being playful back as she climbed a little ways towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“You know, you could climb alone.” He wasn’t playing her game. He offered her his HANDS not to lift her like this…

She smiled and batted her eyes, still trying to beg in a sweet way for affection.

He just let his eyes linger in a deadpan expression, before rolling them and nodding.

“Alright, come ‘ere….”

She giggled and moved closer before he wrapped his arms around her waist and hoisted her up, letting her sit on the log pretty darn close to him, holding her rather tightly too as the two turned to stare at the sunset, a little higher up now from the beach’s low-level.

He lifted a leg up, for comfort and stability, also making sure Amy wouldn’t slide down.

“I really am sorry…” Amy ducked her head down into his shoulder, as his quills slightly sprang upwards before he looked down at her.

“Y-yeah, we talked about this, no problem. Ehem.” he spoke rather quickly, almost consciously avoiding stutters as his nerves kicked in.

Shy guy syndrome.

“I just wanted you to swim with me… but you’re right.” she looked up at the clouds and the flickers of the last rays of sunlight over the horizon of the beautiful colored world around her…

“The land is pretty…”

“…So is the sea.” he mentioned, as sincerely as anyone’s voice could reach at a tender level as this.

She looked up, surprised by the change in tone, before he glanced down once or twice and coughed into fisted hand, clearing his throat and looking away from her; completely turning his head.

“It um… ehem. I admit, it’s pretty to look at. Just not be in.”

She smiled in a pleased way, glad he didn’t completely resent the ocean, as it was one of her many loves.

“Well, whatever you stay,… I’ll stay there the most.” she admitted, and looked back at the sky.

Sonic gently took that moment to look back at her, seeing her distracted from him, he was able to show a more truer look of admiring her on his face.

He then smiled and gently lifted a hand up, giving her the needed attention she wanted and lightly rubbing her head.

“It was a good day,… Amy.”

“Yeah.” she slowly closed her eyes, trying to hide the blush and fangirling delights bubblying up inside her and making her want to squee.

“It was, wasn’t it?”

“Heh.” he slightly shrugged, letting a foot dangle off the log now, getting more relaxed as he looked towards the lowering sun as well. “I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t mean it.”

“Yeah…”

She slowly opened her eyes back to him, in an almost subtle, subcontext way…

“I know.”

This made Sonic nervous… he read into the subtext, and rapidly blinked his eyes in a scrunch, before slowly looking back down at her.

What did she think he had meant by that?
