where do i start

i must say, episode one was definitely the best one, but the last is a close second for me, i’d like it more if it weren’t for the ending.

this whole sequence where shadow realizes sonic is in danger? MASTERPEICE

the whole fight with nine felt pretty drawn out, it was like most of the season. bbuuuuuutttt it was pretty cool

AND YES, SONIC, NINE FUCKING LOSING HIS MIND WITH PRISM ENERGY IS PRETTY TERRIFYING

AND OHHH HAH WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT ANOTHER ENTIRE SONADOW EPISODE ARE YOU FUCKING WITH ME

im so sad he wasnt in more, but the scene of them in the ravine was nice

is it weird for me to say that i kinda wish that sails and mangey did die in that scene? like it was good motivation for sonic and just a good part of the show and for them to be revealed to be fine was kinda a letdown for me.

also shadow finally got to say his line hehehheeh

but all in all, i LOVED this season. if youre thinking about watching the show, id totally go for it! :)

Sonic Prime is not a subtle show and it revels in that tbh because when Nine goes "No one's coming here to save you. You're on your own. Everyone is." it really hits. He's just explaining to the audience his own worldview caused by trauma and exacerbated by Sonic's carelessness but he's doing so in a way that hurts someone else.

I keep thinking about the development of Nine hugging people/being hugged so I'm rambling on here abt it.

Look at Nine's face, he doesnt show any emotion or action to Sonic's hug. All he wants is to be put down he hates it.

Then Sonic puts him down remembering that Nine doesn't like hugs and feels bad about it and for the rest of the series, doesnt hug Nine (im 90% sure abt that if im wrong tell me) because he knows the reaction Nine will give him.

BUT THEN WE GET TO THE END OF S3 OH MY DFJKLSJK.

Nine is hesitating about hugging Sonic because he knows what he's done to Sonic all in all and he doesn't know if it's a good idea to hug him considering what is going on in the moment. (also knux in the back. He's so silly).

AAAA THEN WHEN NINE HUGS SONIC!!!! He flings himself onto Sonic and then literally cuddles him and closes his eyes, showing that he's enjoying the hug. Even though Sonic is taken by surprise at first, he hugs Nine back. They finally show affection to each other at the same time for once and it isnt one sided.

Nine probably feels awful for what he did to Sonic and the universe and hugging Sonic is his way of saying sorry and showing that even though he went crazy he sees Sonic as his only friend and that he's going to miss him and being around his friend.

It's so cute to see Nine go from 'I hate hugs and never will like them' to 'I've grown to like hugs and want to use them as a way of saying sorry and showing that i really love my friend.' if that makes sense.

Even though Nine did annoy me a little bit in some parts of sonic prime he's a really good character and his story is so cool.

The knowledge that one of the minor plot points in my story that I worked out long before Sonic Prime Season 3 came out is similar to a minor plot point in the season finale of Sonic Prime is…wow.

Well, I understand why people ship knuxouge, I mean look at them! They're like big brother and big sister who are always there for Sonic and telling him to do the right thing. (Sometimes I see them as father and mother lol). Not leave their friends behind, and become great leaders. And I like these two. (They were worried about Sonic from the beginning because they didn't trust Nine. That's why they try to warn Sonic(Not only Shadow warn Sonic about Nine.))

Stop bc I’ve been looking for some specific types of sonic prime fics but it seems like nobody have written stuff like it yet. So sonic prime fan writers of tumblr here are some ideas…

1. What if Nines tech really did work and shadow was able to get into the shatterspaces, but since sonic didn’t have the tech his prism energy would go on the fritz though he would still be able to travel between shatterspaces.

2. What if everyone was too late and Nine took the Prism energy from Sonic right before the others got there.

3. What if Sonic listened to Shadow and decided to just cut off everyone or whatever and go about finding the prism shards in his own way (with shadows guidance)

4. What if they were too late in taking Sonic back to green hills? What if he got his own ghost hills form but it changed to each of the shatterspaces form. (Iykwim)

Yes yes, we all are in agreement it was stupid for the Shatterverse cast to come in here, and we all feel bad for Nine as his trauma is triggered. But the more I thought about, I realized Nine kind of deserved it.

Nine was so focused and driven to get Sonic to use his energy to complete the Paradox Prism and stabilize The Grim, he was endangering the lives of everyone else. Nine made himself the enemy.

He was literally turning New Yoke on its sides, he tried to capture the No Place pirates. All this to get Sonic. He didn't have to go that far in his efforts, but he did. If Nine isn't going to leave innocent people alone to get what he wants, why should they do the same?

And he hasn't really given the cast a reason to trust him. Rebel and Knucks did, and he left them when they got captured. It's not easy to take the word of someone who left you behind when you needed help. Nine also didn't seem all that interested in saving the rest of the Shatterverse along with The Grim until Sonic put it on the conditions for his surrender.

Do I still feel bad for Nine? Of course. Do I think the overuse of the Paradox Prism effected his mental state? Absolutely. But I'm not going just ignore everything he has done.

Uh, excuse you, sonic prime? I'd be fine with a "the adventure continues" ending but why did it look like something was up with the paradox prism? Did Shadow's chaos control cause a different reaction? ARE THE SHATTER SPACES OK

What i love about this specific moment in sonic prime s3 epi4 is that it shows sonic really does know what hes done and is fully aware that half of the things that have happened are HIS fault. In this part he thinks that this is also his fault all because he couldnt run fast enough to save them and this leads to him thinking about everything hes done for all of this to happen.

Then Knucks tries to change his mind, knucks knows full well that sonic has done somethings that caused all of this to happen but he wants sonic to be ok, to be able to fight. But he also wants sonic to believe that just because he couldnt run fast enough doesnt meant that its his fault tails and mangey are 'dead' and thats something he believes himself.

Then sonic goes on to disagree with knucks. He knows that knucks and rebel think that all of this was his fault but he also genuinely thinks that tails and mangey being gone is all his fault, no matter what someone says even if they have a good point. He doesnt see that knucks and rebel believe that tails and mangey is his fault because in the moment all he can think about his everything he's done to get himself and everybody else in this situation.

And then this part he knows that if he had NEVER touched the prism in the first place knucks, rebel, nine and everybody else wouldnt even be alive. He knows it's his fault they had such horrible lives and he's the fault of that and it really does hit him hard. Sonic's normally the kind of guy (well hedgehog) to shrug this kind of stuff of but all of the things that have happened in the past few days for him must have been sitting on top of him like a pile of boulders and must have finally squashed him.

But when Dr. Deep comes in he doesnt even care about the condition Sonic's in. All he wants to do is fight Nine and the reason for that is because he wants what i guess you could call revenge on Nine because it's 'All Sonic's fault'. He wants to fight because of Sonic and he wants Sonic to know that. Pretty much, Dr. Deep isn't a good comforter despite his yoga and blah blah blah. (I had more to say here but i cant put it into words)

AND HERE, IT BREAKS MY HEART. Sonics face SHOWS the realisation of everything hitting him at once. The prism fight in the cave at the start, his first experience with New Yoke and remembering what happened when he was about to touch the shard but then completely pushing it down as he went into Boscage Maze. He goes onto himself and flicks through everything that has happened and fully realises that even if he had help fix the problems, they all started because of HIM. And the three arguing in the back but then Sonic blocking them out also shows that he really is thinking about everything and that it really affects his mood in a negative way.

Then it all comes crashing down on his even more as he tries not to cry and wipes away the tears, not wanting to seem weak and just wanting to show that he's strong. Sonic wants everyone to think that he's this big strong hedgehog and that he doesn't cry or get overwhelmed by the things that happen in his life and this shows that. He cracks but he doesn't want the other to see. As he stands up after wiping away his tears he goes to immediate masking and trying to show that he's 'angry' and has an idea to defeat Nine. The others never saw sonics sadness and breaking so they never know that this really hits him hard but this really does show his character development and how we all actually thought he was this strong character that didn't get affected by anything but he clearly does here and in most of all of season 3.

Also if u read all of this thank you <3 im a rambler and i probably kept repeating myself but i wanted to post all of this because i was re-watching sonic prime and it came across me so yeah. imma stop yapping now :)
