Monster AU: Cream and Vanilla

Hell hath no fury like an angry protective mother...

So in the Monster AU. Vanilla is a Dryad and Cream is a Fae. They're backstory is... one of the saddest in the AU.

If you wanna know, I'll make a separate post about it perhaps since it is a bit dark.

Anyway, while Vanilla is motherly and nuturing as always to her beloved daughter, and offers this same protective and kind nature to other non-mortal and unnatural creatures such as them, she is less kind to mortals... especially those that dare to try and threaten or harm her daughter.

And has shown in the bottom doodle, she can take a much more... terrifying appearance, if she so wishes.

Like he can take some damage but not too much.

It probably drives him absolutely crazy too. He's SONIC THE HEDGEHOG. And he can barely take a hit!

Imagine Sonic rushing in and trying to help in a fight, only to get really hurt. Tails has to rescue him and take him home and Sonic is just. He's okay, but he doesn't FEEL okay. He feels so useless. He doesn't like this.

Lancelot is a changeling, a mortal who grew up among the fae, one foot in each world but with incomplete knowledge of both. Too mortal to fully fit in the immortal, but too unnatural to fit with the natural world.

It creates its own set of difficulties, but Lancelot had a happy, loving childhood under the care of the Lady of the Lake and her court. He learned to swim before he could walk, and grew up so immersed in magic and the supernatural that his body has taken on some of those traits, too, in the form of bright, unnatural markings that slowly manifest throughout his body in long, looping shapes like water lapping at the lakeshore.

Featuring a guest appearance by the white fairies, only encountered in the Misty Lake levels and unable to be interacted with... unless your Mom is the Queen of the Fairies I guess.

Magic Au

Awhile back my roommate and I were spitballing unserious predictions for the Sonic 3 movie and it devolved into us creating a stobotnik au meshed with the tinkerbell universe

Robotnik is a tinker fairy that left the other fairies. He went to live in a city to find better materials to build with. Meanwhile Agent Stone is a human who found Robotnik and ended up being so inspired by what he’d been making that he started helping him by carrying things, letting him live in his home, and even sneaking him into work so he can get real high quality stuff👌

For those unfamiliar with tinkerbell universe rules, humans can’t understand the fairies. When fairies speak it sounds like a bell ringing, which is what the “ding!” around Robotnik’s speech bubbles are.

say who is cream's kevin eleven and gwen in the cream 10 au?

The Kevin equivalent is Clasp the Spider, an oc I repurposed from a different Cream-centric story idea (that I've never posted about) where Eggman's latest scheme inadvertently makes Cream swap places in time with her teenage future self. In that Clasp is a hacker who was with Future Cream when they got swapped because they were investigating an old possibly-not-as-abandoned-as-it-should-be Eggman Base.

And because they're girlfriends.

In Cream 10 they meet much earlier than they had in that story (since for the whole Kevin 11 thing to work they have to meet before Cream starts unlocking aliens), and it plays out pretty close to how Ben and Kevin's first meeting did, just modified to fit the different characters and setting (and with a 6 and 7 year old simultaneously dealing with their First Crush to make the storm of emotions just that little bit more volatile).

As for Gwen... honestly I'm gonna go the funny route and have Cheese be the one with an Anodite grandparent.
