Depression hit. Had to write. This story got longer than I thought. It's a double hanahaki, love-triangle angst (and possible tragedy) involving Amy, Shadow, and Sonic.

Also it's a shame this deign I made for Amy is only for this story.

Let me know what you think and if I should change my idea for an ending. Or possibly different endings.

Boom SonShadAmy/Sonadamy rambles

Ight that Boom sonshadAmy post is getting blown up kind of so I thought I should explain the dynamics of them and what each part of the relationship looks like.

SonAmy

Sonic and Amy are not so secretly secretly dating. They both like to sass each other but they do clearly love each other. I mainly am basing them off my mom and stepdad because they act rude to one another but actually love each other. Been dating for a solid 2+ years now and Sonic still hasn't popped the question. Was the one who made Sonic's bandanna. Sonic will crash at her place sometimes but he usually sleeps at his beach house thing. Both looked at shadow and was like "I wanna date him" and they made it a race as to who can get him first.

ShadAmy

Shadow and Amy are a lot more tame. Shadow still broods a lot but that is because Amy yoinked him out of his cave and made him live with her (still figuring out why). Amy can backtalk him without fear of getting punched. She is the one who wears the nonexistent pants in the relationship and Shadow listens reluctantly. Regardless Shadow has cuteness aggression towards her which just ends up with him squishing her face. Should mention that she won the race into getting Shadow to date her first before Sonic was able to.

Sonadow

Sonic and Shadow had the longest time getting together just due to Shadow's hatred of Sonic. Very similar to his relationship with Amy just this time he has a grumpy hedgehog instead. Him and Shadow watch reality TV together for fun once dating. They play fight more often than not after the first while of being together. They are literally ADHD (sonic) vs Austism (shadow) and sometimes their special interests line up and they can end up talking about something for hours on end.

SonShadAmy dynamics

Shadow is stuck with two sassy hedgehogs that he ends up loving oh so very much (no matter how much he wants to punch Sonic). Still the most reserved out of all 3 but has slowly calmed down with Sonic and Amy's help. Also if all 3 decide to share a bed (which is rare) he gets stuck in the middle with the other two cuddling him. He gets uncomfortable sometimes which means he just turns over onto his stomach and then can sleep. Sonic is the most affectionate behind closed doors ironically (he hates PDA). He gets in trouble for being too messy but has slowly been getting better. Gets all 3 of them into trashy TV dramas or game shows. Actually has the best movie taste whenever new movies reach the island. Amy is the one who mainly cooks just because it is her house and Shadow ends up helping after a few months of staying there and learns how to make edible meals after not knowing how to cook. Both boys get on her nerves sometimes and they get in trouble for it. Shares a hobby with both of them with Shadow's being dancing and Sonic's actually being reading.

I captured it in poor quality AND IF THIS THING INSPIRED ME AAAA And to be honest, I needed 3 more ocs that will still be in the process. At first I wanted to redraw Moony the same design of Hanna Barbera from Pac-Beby but even though I liked Moony from the previous design of my style and for some data of the series I left it anyway I had a lot of fun with the designs and I didn't let it go and if you were wondering why I made a fanchaild? Well, the truth about au shipping I've seen it in other famdu as: Sonamy and Shadamy Au Well known among the famdu Star vs the Forces of Evil (Don't enter this famdu is mined with fanchaild) Miraculous (Hiding in a corner are the fanchaild) Some clear examples of this when it comes to Au alternative of ship design, I'm not going to deny it for simple facts of recreating your world is a freedom but when it comes to ship things are very indifferent anyone can recreate a world, and if I agree that we should not idolize a ship that is good or bad for children's/adolescent series that I already learned in the Miraculous famdu of Marinette for being sometimes obsessive by Adrien for joke that reached a certain extreme, but that is already a famdu with its own creator problem leaving Marinette misuses of development (Not completely but Certain problems of the misuse of the joke yes) But The good thing about all of that is that it's over (More or less) :D Pacheart-loved au? As I say my personal discussion is more between sonamy and sonadow xd sometimes I like sonamy more (damn sonic frontiers and comics) and other SONADOW (damn comics again)

I think it depends on the day xd but I think I like the sound more I'M NOT SURE XD I can't decide lol

Sonic fandom, circuit Shadsonamy. Has all the great dynamics, they are ALL hedgehogs in love and it solves the age old Sonamy vs Sonadow problem while also making the Shadamy fans happy at the same time

You got Sonic and Shadow having their classic tension between each other, Sonic and Amy being total adrenaline junkies together (a forgotten facet of Amy's character that she does in fact enjoy adventures and excitement), Shadow and Amy being all cute with Shadow showing the softer facets of his character around Amy, ALL FOR THE GLORIOUS PRICE OF ONE SHIP!!!!!

Yes I am in fact the biggest fan of Shadsonamy and I will spread the propaganda in any way I can. Because the best way to get rid of a ship war/love triangle are POLYCULES!!!!!

First of all, fully agree with the best way to deal with love triangles is polycules. Especially when, if it's not a case of it being obvious that one side is going to win, to the point where you wonder the point of the triangle to begin with, it's a case where you could see all sides working out together, either as a circuit or at worst, a poly-V.

As for the ship of Shadsonamy...I never really considered it before, but with all the stuff you brought up, it might be a perfect 10/10? Like, I've always shipped Sonic and Amy ever since I was a kid, and while I'd never really thought a ton about Shadow and Amy (due to never being able to play any games where they had significant interactions), I'd seen fanart of Sonic and Shadow that I thought was cute. So the idea of adding Shadow to the ship and just making them a polycule...I honestly might kind of love it?

Also, now that the finals are finished I can reveal my winner prediction without worrying about influencing the results:

...I was wrong! I thought MetAmy would take the whole thing! Even though BlazAmy received the most submissions, there wasn't a lot of vocal support for them. Whereas MetAmy shippers were out there sharing propaganda from the get-go, both in the submissions and on each match the ship was in. As well as that, a few Sonic poll blogs supported them, which I figured would give them an edge. We did get a lot of attention from the ShadAmy Week blog (which I'm very grateful for!) that I thought might tip the scales. Surely enough, MetAmy vs ShadAmy was one of the most active matches of this round, but in the end, MetAmy came out on top Like I've said a few times, I had no horse in the race for the finals, so I didn't mind who won. At first, I assumed MetAmy was winning, but when when the reblogs and propaganda kept coming in, I stopped and thought "Wait... they're not winning, are they? That's why there's so much propaganda". When the poll quietened down about mid-week, I figured that MetAmy must've taken the lead, but now that I'm seeing the results, I guess the gap was big enough that everyone knew they couldn't catch up? Anyway, congrats to both ships for making it this far! It's your passions that make these tournaments interesting to watch. For me, BlazAmy winning was a bit of a surprise, but TekAmy beating SonAmy was the biggest surprise! I love when polls go differently to how I expect tbh

Literally anybody else get bothered but the fact that in a single scene Shadow is nicer to Amy than Sonic is to her in the entire franchise?

Yeah, I've noticed them pretty much bullying us and calling us delusional lately. Especially on Twiddle (one of the reason I'm barely on there anymore). What bothers me somewhat is that this has been going on for years since the early 2000s with SonAmy vs Sonally being the starter. Don't get me started on the Deviant Art/Youtube bits. It's sad that there are still people who, especially if they are young or possibly older, who continue to harass when they can just scroll away. They can even block or mute tags so they don't se ships they don't like. Even so, let's recognize they are a loud minority who are either just bored, miserable, or just don't know what they are doing. Meanwhile, I can tell a majority of us are smart enough and chill enough to accept that our ship may never be canon and we won't go out of our way to bully Sega into making it so. Anyway, Godspeed ShadAmy Nation!

Ship Name Use?

What is the ship name(s) for Sonic/Amy/Shadow (all together and variations like two of them with one but not each other) that you use? Sonamyshad? Shadamyson? Sonadamy? Some other variation? Just use the regular ship names?

Does anyone use multiple outside trying to spread a post so more people can see it or forgetting which one you used?

What about a name using a different fandom’s rules? (for example: -shipping) Or something else? (pun, shortening, didn’t know the name, etc.)

I’m asking partially out of curiosity and partially because tumblr’s tags/search system isn’t very good.

A few times I’ve checked some posts and while Sonamyshad seems to be the most used on original posts, some others are more common in reblogs (if any are even used). Not everything shows up when you search, and when people deactivate their posts disappear, further skewing results.

As for myself I usually stick with Sonamyshad since it seems to be the most widely used across the sites I’ve checked.

On my main blog I started using “Chasing Chaos Blurs” because at the time I still posted Sonic stuff there, had gotten influenced by other people and ships, and attempted to try to keep the prompts I reblogged from cluttering my main tag.

And while I don’t use it for tagging or much anything else, the blog’s name, soamow, came about because I was afraid of using one of the main ship names...also it’s shorter.
