𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗦  𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗟𝗘  𝗔𝗡𝗗  𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛  𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛  𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗡  𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗦,  tired  feet  slowly  making  their  way  along  the  makeshift  trail.  the  air  might  be  crisp,  cool,  but  there's  no  bite  to  it,  a  welcome  reprieve  from  hours  spent  in  the  musty  diner,  short  staffed  and  rushing  about  (  𝘩𝘰𝘸  𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘺  𝘤𝘢𝘯  𝘥𝘰  𝘪𝘵  𝘢𝘭𝘭  𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩  𝘢  𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘴  𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥  𝘩𝘦𝘳  )  but  it's  not  like  mila  can  complain,  she's  got  tips,  she's  got  her  cigarettes,  she's  got  eddie,  all  too  ready  to  go  on  a  late  night  walk  with  her.  they're  at  ricks  (  𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺  𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦  )  and,  for  once,  there's  no  stragglers,  no  muffled  music,  no  impromptu  kick  its.  just  them,  their  scattered  conversations,  and  the  chirps  and  shuffles  of  nighttime.

Lando checked himself in the mirror once again. He usually didn't take so much care about his looks when he went out. It was usually jeans, a T-shirt, and a cap or snapback. This time though, he wanted to look the best version of himself, only for his own inner feelings. That was what he said to himself, before admitting even in his own head that it was bullshit and that he wanted to impress the woman who was supposed to be in the DJ booth that evening.

In the final, he ended with black jeans, a white linen shirt with a few top buttons undone, and his usual set of necklaces and bracelets.

"Mate, you ready?" a voice yelled from the bottom of his parent’s house, and Lando smiled. He missed his best friend. Max came to see his parents too, and brought Pietra with him. Cisca and Flo decided to tag along, the first one taking her boyfriend too, and so it wouldn't be just a solo attendance for the papaya driver. He didn't mind though. And even if Max seemed a bit surprised about Lando's request to go to the local nightclub, he kind of accepted the explanation that "the darkest spot is under the light" and that "no one would expect them there". This was probably true, but also no one would expect Lando to go there for one specific person.

"You look nice," P exclaimed when he finally ran down the stairs, Lando smiling and hugging his friend gently before clapping hands with Max. "Just so you know, I will want details about this specific reason," Max murmured while patting Lando's back, making Lando huckle. Max knew him well, sometimes almost too well.

"All right everyone, off to the car we go!" Flo yelled from the hallway, sending the frantic squabble as the whole group pushed around to find their shoes, jackets, bags, and eventually also car keys.

"And those two wonder why I never take them out," Lando murmured as he took a pair of the obnoxiously white sneakers from the rack, grunting when Cisca hit him in the ribs with her elbow.

They all looked at Lando with raised eyebrows when he said the names to the guys by the door, and one of them promptly showed them to a side booth with quite comfortable seats and a round table in the middle, complimentary shots of tequila already there.

He though explained nothing. Why should he? He ignored their looks and concentrated on the DJ booth. His trousers were tight, and he was careful to not draw attention to it. She came into the booth shortly after they arrived. The DJ who did the first gig of the night announced her, and the regulars applauded as she stepped out backstage. And Lando knew at that moment that he was in trouble.

Gone was the elegantly dressed lady from the zoo. In her place was a woman who got every man in the room on his knees. Hair in a high sleek ponytail, black minidress, blood red Converse, and a deep red lipstick. She applauded back to the crowd before hitting the controller, and giving the crowd their first taste of her music of the night, throwing them in deep end with her version of Pitbull's 'I Feel Good'.

"Is she the reason why you were so adamant about coming?" Max yelled in Lando's ear, having to raise his voice because of the loud music.

She was currently dancing behind the counter, her hair swishing from one side to the other. Her eyes closed, her arms raised. She was in her zone, enjoying every single second of it, and Lando felt like he was in a trance. Yes, he had beautiful women next to him every single day. But none of those women would share a banana split with him. Or would drink from his coffee cup after knowing him for an hour. Or would be so gentle with Mila? No. Those women had one single prize - and that was him. And more often than not - his money.

"Maybe she is," Lando yelled back at Max, shrugging like he didn't give a fuck. The girls left the boys in the booth, running down to the dance floor, enjoying the evening, and Lando knew it was only a matter of time before they would join them. For now, though, he wanted to enjoy the view he had. She played, interacted with the audience, and even did a wish song for a girl who was celebrating her birthday that evening.

"Before I switch off, let's celebrate a home hero who races fast cars for a living," she announced to the microphone close to the end of her gig, and Lando who just took a huge gulp of his water sputtered it out, coughing and earning a big hit in between his shoulder blades from Cisca's boyfriend. The crowd started cheering when she turned back down, and the first tunes of the familiar tunes of Brian Tyler's iconic theme hit the speakers, combined with the sound of race cars going by.

The hands started clapping, feet stomping, dancers jumping in time to the beat, and Lando only watched with his mouth open as she looked right at him, that dangerous smirk firmly on her face, and winked at him. She fuckin winked at him. What a simple wink can do to a man? Let me tell you, A LOT. Sweat was sparkling on her forehead when she hit the beat and clapped in the rhythm together with the other, enjoying herself in a way Lando would never expect. And just like that... her gig was done and she left the booth, waving to the audience who were screaming with excitement, showing their appreciation for the older woman who just made the whole dance floor jump to the freaking F1 theme.

"Be right back!" Lando yelled at Max and before anyone could say anything, he was off to the side door, hoping to catch her before she disappeared. He weaved himself through the crowd, in fact not caring if someone recognized him or not, and he just saw her talking to the guard by the door who held the door open for her.

He yelled her name, quite loud, and she turned on her heel, her eyes reminding him of a deer in the headlights before softening down and a darling smile appearing on her lips.

"That's okay, let him in," she told to the guy and motioned him to get through the door first, Lando blushing when the bouncer smirked at him.

Then, the door closed... and they were alone in the corridor. Lando watched with fascination as she turned to him, her forehead still shiny with sweat, one of the drops making its way down the column of her throat. The burning desire settled deep in his stomach as she opened another door and slipped into a simple room with a table, a small couch, and a clothing rack.

"So? Too old to play for youngsters?" she turned to him, a towel in her hand as she started drying the sweat off.

Lando was stunned speechless. What was it about her that it brought him to his knees with such a small normal act like wiping off her neck and face?!

"C'mon, cat got your tongue?" she laughed, throwing the towel at him and grabbing a bottle of water. "Want some?" she offered it to him as well, but Lando already shook himself off of the shock. He took the bottle from her hand, got a small sip, and then with a bold move wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her to his chest. She yelped, clearly not expecting such a turn of events, but only for a second, then her eyes switched and the siren look she had since the first moment he met her was back.

"No boyfriend?" he whispered, their breaths mixing, only a touch away from each other. She laid one hand on his upper arm, the one he was holding her with, and the other on his chest. 

"No," she breathed the answer back.

He nudged her nose with his.

"No husband?"

She shook her head negatively.

"No kids?"

"None."

Lando smiled. For the first time that evening, he felt like he got an upper hand in the situation. She was breathing rapidly, her pupils dilated, and he swore he could feel her heart going crazy in her chest.

"Live nearby?" he leaned in and breathed the last question in her ear, making her shiver and goosebumps appear on her body.

"Two blocks from here," came the answer, and with that the dam was broken as she had enough of his teasing, grabbed the collar of his shirt, and yanked him forward, smashing her lips at his.

Okay hear me out in this:

💀It would be an interesting narrative tool to show her (so far) scarse relationships (as in platonic, friendship, family bonds, etc) by showing her having a stronger bond with an animal than with most people.

💀Same with showing she needs someone she can fully trust on, someone reliable that doesn't judge her, doesn't see her as "weird" or "dangerous".

💀Since there's this common believe that animals can sense death and see ghosts, they could bond over it.

💀Similar to how the presence of a Robin helps Batman to not be constantly lost in his mind and talking to himself trough many pages, an animal companion would have the same effect on Nika, being very useful in a solo series.

Honestly, Nika is partially telling her truth to Damian here, she only asked for Damian to help her find her sister, and he did, so she thanked him, promising to talk later. She just trying to buy time for her plans to work while stopping Damian from getting more involved and making Mila trust her.

Look at how cheerful and cute Nika is with her sister… Mila is so pretty… they are so cutee☹️☹️🥲

This is probably the first time they’re having fun and understanding each other, and Nika already knows she has made the decision to sacrifice this possible renewed kinship by betraying Mila's trust while keeping her safe. ( look at her sad face ungghggh my baby ueueee😭😭😭 she knows she will have two people she loves mad at her simultaneously in one single night…)

Just thinking that Nika still cares about her sister a lot, and probably knows this criminal life will not do well for Mila in the longest run, so she track her down and decided to make a plan to get her out… And all this time Mila is blinded by jealousy of not having power as her, then when she gets the power she doesn't even once try to find Nika😭😞😞

I'm just hoping Nika will keep in touch with their mother and tell her what happened to Mila…

Nika immediately blasts Mila with the ice guns once Mila wants to severely harm and poses a danger to Damian. Mila must have called Nika weirdo so many times as an insult when they were little kids, cuz Nika is still mad about this (I don't blame her, you go girl!! Tell her to back off, seems like your sister still doesn't know that words still hurt).

Nika came to him and Batman to ask for help to find her sister and make sure it would be fine for her to handle Mila's situation (minimal the chance for Mila to be sent to Gotham prison, and stick to her plan). She explains her plan and actions to Damian and tells him that it's not all an act with him.

She wants to return the favor by helping his cases and making sure that's fine with him too (She's so open to talk and gentle to Damian here… and meanwhile he looked so sad thinking she's leaving again so soon😭).

Man-bat in Nikola's style is sooo good!!! I love how he looks here, so brutal and threatening! This page is one of my favorite.

Love these panels too, Batman being dragged into the darkness by Man-bat… Shush why are you looking so shook here, even though Batman save you from Man-bat's strike a few seconds before… I thought you wanted him dead?

Erica's face lowkey reminds me of that one Shrek image… she's so funny with that stare she gave to Damian😂

Can't wait for the next issue! If Ms. Hall is actually Shush, it would be so interesting for her to see Damian sneaking Nika into school to help him try to uncover the principal as Shush.

I had a feeling that in the next issue, Nika would punch Damian's bullies for calling him names (look how she did with her sister, she definitely would not tolerate that I fear), or something they planned together this time would happen to get both of them to the detection.

(I'm kinda sad that Mila's appearance is so short, hopefully she can return in later issues… reasons number 97676443178 why I need a Flatline solo!! To explore more with her family!!!🙏🙏)

Ieri a Palazzo Chigi lo statunitense Larry Fink è stato ricevuto con tutti gli onori. Di fronte aveva la presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni, una vita politica spesa a ventilare immaginifiche battaglie contro orrendi poteri forti. Solo che Fink è presidente e amministratore delegato del colosso statunitense della finanza BlackRock, un potere forte forte davvero. In pancia ha dieci mila miliardi di dollari (il Pil di Giappone e Germania, sommati) e siede nei consigli di amministrazione delle più importanti aziende occidentali. Amano molto le armi, quelli di BlackRock, e mica per niente sono azionisti delle più importanti industrie belliche come Lockheed Martin a Raytheon Technologies e Northrop Grumman e ovviamente l’italiana Leonardo di cui detiene il 3%. Ci si aspetterebbe che Meloni avesse voluto incontrare il “cattivo” per rivendicare il proprio sovranismo e per chiederli di tenere giù quelle manacce dai beni della patria e invece è accaduto esattamente il contrario. Come una piazzista ha aperto il campionario dei gioielli italiani e ha offerto ai poteri forti Autostrade e qualche altra occasione dell’Italia in saldo. Fink avrà osservato con attenzione. Blackrock è azionista di Snam (poco meno del 5% cumulativo), di Terna (5%), di Saipem (0,6%), di Prysmian (5%), di Stm (0,6%), di Tenaris (1,8%), di Italgas (3,7%) ed è primo azioni sta di Unicredit con il 7%.  Scene da bancarelle dentro il palazzo del governo. i mean this in the most genuine way possible and i'm being really really serious when i say that... trying to understand! what is the point of the asexual label if you both Want To Have Sex & Experience Sexual Feelings? i guess i just don't understand how someone like that could be asexual/what the utility of describing yourself that way is. and i know people say like "asexuals can enjoy and want sex" but like that's just a Random Person's Statement...how does it relate to the label & what's the pt then...what is communicated when you say "i'm asexual" if that means "but i also experience sexual feelings/libido and want to have sex"... to me that would be like being "i'm a gay man but i am horny for girls and want to sleep with them" like well then what meaning does that label hold...why use it if it communicates nothing... sorry i really don't mean for this to be rude & i realize it is im just trying to figure it out

Let's break this down using the gay man example:

sexually attracted to: other men ✅

libido/sex drive: obviously varies person to person but our hypothetical example person has fairly high libido ✅

enjoyment of sex/desire to have sex be part of his life: yes ✅

Next, let's consider an ace who is sex-averse or sex-repulsed:

sexually attracted to: nobody ❌

libido/sex drive: none/low/choose to ignore due to repulsion ❌

enjoyment of sex/desire to have sex be part of their life: no ❌

Now, let's look at me:

sexually attracted to: nobody ❌

libido/sex drive: some, I would say medium-low ✅

enjoyment of sex/desire to have sex be part of my life: yes ✅

Asexuality definitionally means lack of sexual attraction. For some people, it comes with a side of not wanting anything to do with sex in general. For others, it makes them indifferent to sex: it can be fun, but so can a million other things, and sex probably isn't very high on that list. And some are like me and experience some level of sex drive and actively enjoy sex but even so, that desire is not prompted by or directed towards any specific person.

I do not know what it's like to look at a person and go, I'd bang them, or, I wish they did things to me, or, please God I need them so bad, or whatever thoughts sexual attraction arouses in people; I wouldn't know, because I do not experience it. That's what makes me ace.

When I have sex with another person, it's because we both want it or feel up to it at the same time, and because it's fun, and because we've mutually agreed that sex is a part of our relationship and it's okay to ask for it when you want it. But the desire that prompts me to ask someone if they're up for sex is directionless, not aroused by them or anyone else in particular. I like having partnered sex and usually have a great time, but that's because of things like being comfortable with that person, knowing each other's likes and dislikes, mutual respect, and communicating our desires often and in detail; not because I'm turned on by the thought or act of having sex with them specifically. Similarly a gay man may enjoy being sucked off by a woman because it feels good even though the attraction is not there -- not all gay men would, but then not all aces enjoy sex either. That's what it means when I say I'm ace.

I also don't fantasise about other people. Imagining having sex with another person or that my own hands are somebody else's hands does nothing for me. It's entirely uninteresting and cannot hold my attention, let alone arousal. My solo sex fuel is usually erotica on ao3 but regardless of the format, it's the sexual acts and the feelings they produce that turn me on, not the people doing them. The first time I masturbated, I was 14 and had just watched Black Swan. The sex scene between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis turned me on like nothing ever had, but it wasn't about Natalie Portman or Mila Kunis. It was about what they were depicted as doing and most of all what doing those things made them feel. The mechanics of sex and the people responsible for them are only important to my arousal insofar as that is what elicits the feelings. This is what being ace means to me.

It took a long time for me to understand and even longer to internalise that I was ace, because I thought my experience was close enough to an allosexual* experience to not really count. Fact is though, allo behaviour is often incomprehensible to me. Finding someone else's body sexually attractive in and of itself is the stuff of stories, as far as I'm concerned. Incidentally, I do go through cycles of sex repulsion and indifference, usually directly after having sex (solo or partnered). The cycles can last from days to weeks, and they may be a byproduct of my asexuality**, but they're not the defining feature. The cycle always loops back around to being sex favourable again, and my sex drive emerging again, but my lack of attraction is always the same. (Now this is not the case for everyone on the ace spectrum, and for that you can look up demisexuality and greysexuality/grey-asexuality, but this is already long so I'm not gonna go into that here.)

I wanted to illustrate this issue from as many angles as possible. Hopefully at least one approach answered the question in a way that resonated, or, best case, you and others with similar questions gained a fairly broad understanding of the ways asexuality can manifest in a person's life even when they have a libido and enjoy sex. You said you wanted to understand so I gave you the benefit of the doubt; I hope you have approached my answer with a similarly open mind.

*allosexual means a person who experiences sexual attraction

**allo people can be sex repulsed or sex indifferent too; I've seen this most often come up in the context of trauma but I don't see why this variation wouldn't extend to them in general just the same as variation in the strength of libido does

La cannabis light è fuori legge, è passato l’emendamento del governo.

Contro ogni buonsenso e logica.

Di fatto, considerare la #cannabis light a quella illegale non è un segnale di lotta alla droga ma un segnale di assoluta incapacità di comprendere le cose (la scienza in primis), il colpo di grazia a un settore che produce milioni e che occupa 11mila persone e una cortesia alla malavita organizzata.

Da domani 11 mila disoccupati in più, solo per far contenti 4 analfabeti che non hanno nemmeno capito di cosa si parla.

Di contro gli operatori della cannabis light dovrebbero farsi spiegare dai balneari o dai tassisti come si possano recuperare 11 mila posti di lavoro perduti.

E soprattutto chiedere alle industrie del tabacco, dell'alcool e del vino come hanno fatto, con i loro veleni, a diventare legali e ad avere ministri alle loro manifestazioni.

I danni che fece al mondo Harry Jacob Anslinger*, sono nulla in confronto a quelli che sta facendo la nostra politica per ideologia.

Non c'è un motivo, uno che sia uno, uno solo che possa giustificare questa sciocchezza siderale. E se ve lo raccontano e ci credete, siete semplicemente complici.
