The King's Bride
Tumblr media
Title: The King's Bride
Pairing: Shadow King! Sung Jin Woo x Light Queen! Female Reader
Genre: Angst to Fluff
Song: Alone at Night by Fabvl and Arise by Divide Music
Rating: PG-13
Warning(s): Slight unrequited love (Jin Woo kind of hurts the readers feelings not realizing it), Sung Jin Woo beheading his personal guard (The nameless fool tried to hurt the reader in front of him and no it isn't any of his shadows), Sung Jin Woo being extremely protective of the reader, swearing, Jin Woo is a bit blind in the beginning and does things that make the reader fall for him, Jin Woo having two hearts because I said so
Summary: You brought light and prosperity to the world. He brought darkness and terror. Everything you did seemed to bring light into his dark life. The way you smiled at him every morning. The way your hands were so gentle tending to his wounds. The way you whispered your love for him. The way his Shadows would drop everything and follow your command. The beating of his double hearts made it painstakingly clear, you were HIS queen, and he was YOUR king. So, when Sung Jin Woo's personal guard tries to kill you, he beheads the guard to show the world not to mess with you.
Word Count: 4283
Your hands sat tucked together over your gold and white dress. Today was the day you would meet your betrothed for the first time before the wedding. You, Y/n L/n, Queen of everything Light and glorious, was to marry the Shadow King himself. You never spoke out against the fate you had been dealt, simply dropping to your knees before the Oracle and bowing deeply. Taking a deep breath, you lifted your head up and looked out the window of the carriage, watching the wispy willows and daisies dancing in the breeze. A small smile slipped before it returned to the straight line. Your mind was running a mile a minute as you tried to grasp the situation. You turned your head back towards your lap and noticed a box nestled in the palm of your open hands.
A faint black whisper of shadow wrapped around your arm, moving past the sleeve and tattooing itself to your arm. Lifting the sleeve, your eyes widened at the intricate swirls that wrapped around your arm. Releasing the sleeve, you turned your attention back to the box. Running your fingers over the ribbon that was tied ever so neatly, you carefully pulled it and watched the bow unravel. Holding the ribbon in your hand, you carefully opened the box. To your surprise, there lay a ring. Gold band carefully crafted; a dark purple gem nestled in the middle of the ring glistened as the sun glinted off it. Carefully taking the ring from its spot, you held in between your finger and thumb, twisting it around before you slid it over your ring finger. A warmth filled your chest as you stared longer at the ring. Slowly, you raise your hand to your lips. Closing your eyes, you pressed your lips to the gem, a smile slipping through. Maybe, just maybe, he will be different. "Must be a gift from his majesty himself, your Highness." The driver said, not looking back but keeping his eyes on the road.
You felt the warmth spread even further through your chest. All your life, you had been told the Shadow King was a ruthless man. Killing anyone that stood against him. Left a trail of blood and terror behind him, but something was pulling at your heart. He didn't seem all that back if he sent you a beautiful ring as a courting gift. You gently placed the open box on the seat in front of you not realizing it disappeared in a poof of shadows. "My Queen, we will be there in a moment's time. Do you need anything?" Lifting your head, you glanced at the back of the driver. "No. I believe I am alright for now." You said, your voice although soft, held such a power that even the shadows froze for a moment.
As the massive palace of the Shadow King emerged from the trees and darkness, you felt your heart speed up. Your eyes gazed at the majestic looking castle, eyes shining. As the carriage moved closer, you watched in surprise when a group of shadow soldiers materialized around the carriage. One of the soldiers moved towards your window and bowed. "It's a pleasure to meet you, your grace. My name is Igris. I am my Liege's elite knight and am tasked as your personal guard. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call out my name." Igris bowed before you, his purple shadow-like body glowing brightly. You smiled and nodded your head. "Thank you Igris, I appreciate everything." You said, watching the knight stand to his true height before raising his arm and shouting a command.
Before you knew it, you were in front of the massive palace, Igris holding his hand out for you to take and help you out of the carriage. "My liege has been waiting for this day." Igris said, watching as you fixed your dress and your hair. You turned to the shadow and smiled softly. "I have been waiting for this day as well." Igris won't admit it out loud, but the sound of your voice makes his body feel at ease besides his king. You were gentle. Didn't look at him or the other shadows with disgust. Rather, you looked at him and the others with a childlike wonder. He could practically see the sun shining from your heart. Igris and you made your way to the throne room. You felt a weight fall onto you as you entered the dark chamber.
You could see countless shadow soldiers lined up all around the room, just waiting to strike. You could see people standing near the throne, hands resting on the hilt of their swords ready to strike. One man stared you down, making your heart stop, and fear gripping your voice. Your hand immediately latched to Igris's arm. The knight immediately noticed something was wrong. He followed your line of sight and immediately narrowed his eyes. Before anything could happen, the doors opened and two massive shadows walked in, the Shadow King following behind them. You watched in awe at the way he carried himself. Everyone dropped and bowed to him, even Igris. You were completely stunned and didn't know what to do.
"You insolent witch. You must bow before the King." The same man that had been staring you down yelled at you, making you flinch at his words. Tears filled your eyes, and your heart was in your throat. You watched as the man made a move towards you, his hand pulling at his sword. "Watch your tongue. That is your future Queen." The King's voice was deep, but held so much power that you watched the man freeze in his steps and grumble something before going back in line. You released the breath you didn't realize you were holding. Clearing your throat, you took the sides of your dress and dipped in a curtsy. "I apologize for my ill manners just now, your Highness." You whispered.
The King raised his hand, and the two massive shadows escorted the men out of the room. The pressure that had been crushing you moments ago disappeared, allowing you to gasp for air. Igris immediately checked on you. "Are you alright?" He asked, his voice full of worry. You nodded your head, not trusting your voice at the moment. You were still shaken by the fact that man was so bent on killing you. "Igris. What happened before I walked into the room?" The King's voice was gentle now, his eyes staying on your as you gathered your thoughts and took deep breaths to calm down. Igris explained the incident and watched as the King clenched his fists. "He has always been against this idea." Sighing, the Shadow King rose from his throne and walked towards you.
You felt his finger under your chin and was shocked as he gently lifted your head up. You both looked into each other's eyes, causing your heart to skip a beat. "I deeply apologize for his behavior. He didn't hurt you, did he?" You shook your head, still unable to even offer words. The King sighed in relief. "I apologize for not introducing myself. My name is Sung Jin Woo. As we are engaged, there is no need for you to call me King or Your Highness. Jin Woo is perfectly fine." He gently took your hand that had the ring on it and your heart melted as a smile graced his lips. He lifted your hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to the back of your hand before kissing the ring, much like you had done before.
A blush covered your face as your free hand covered your mouth and you looked away. Jin Woo smiled at your reaction before standing at his full height and lifting his elbow up for you to take. "I know you probably don't like darker colors, but I would love to see you in a deep shade of purple." Jin Woo's voice sounded like music in your ears. You slowly nodded your head and looped your arm around his elbow. You both made your way down the hall towards the seamstress that Jin Woo seemed to have living in the palace. Entering the room, the seamstress immediately knew what to do and shooed Jin Woo out of the room. Hours passed before you were escorted out of the room by Igris and a shadow named Beru. You had seen Beru when Jin Woo first entered the throne room when you had arrived. You were nervous to see Jin Woo's reaction. What if he hated it and called off the engagement? Your thoughts were interrupted when Igris placed a hand on your trembling one.
"My liege is the kindest person alive. He won't hate anything you wear or do." His words seemed to ease your growing anxiety. Entering the throne room, Jin Woo lifted his head, and you noticed the moment his eyes widened, a blush dusted across the bridge of his nose. The dress you wear was a dark purple almost black in certain lighting, a sleeveless, sweetheart neckline with a bedazzled top. The dress hugged your figure nicely and in Jin Woo's eyes, enhanced your figure nicely. You watched him stand from the throne and walk towards you. You went to bow, but his hands grasped yours and held them to his lips. "You do not have to bow to me. We are to be married soon. I would like for us to get comfortable with each other. Don't you?" He asked, eyeing the dress that was crafted so beautifully. You pressed your forehead against his chest, the heat radiating off your face was too much. Jin Woo chuckled and took that as a yes from you.
{One Day before the wedding}
You sat in the dining hall, fork messing around with the food in front of you. Igris noticed the pained looks you would send his liege from time to time, and it hurt him to see you so sad. He had grown so close with you in the small amount of time he had spent with you. Moving from his spot, he knelt in front of you and tilted his head to the side. "What is wrong my queen?" Igris asked, watching as the tears filled your eyes and slowly fell down your face. "Does Jin Woo seem more distant with me? I fear he's starting to pull away." You said, remembering how you had wanted to spend the night with Jin Woo a few nights ago and he immediately shut you down. His eyes grew cold as he slammed the door behind him. It happened every night after that. He would avoid you. Show you such a huge amount of love and need and want only to be thrown to the side and glared at the very next moment.
"Does he actually want to marry me for his own accord or is this just a political marriage to fix tensions between my kingdom and his?" You asked, your eyes searching the shadow's eyes for anything. Igris couldn't stand it. It hurt him to see you in pain like this. He knew his liege was shy and awkward when it came to relationships, but something was off about the way he was treating you. It was like he was playing with your feelings. Giving you a small taste of what he could give to you and then taking it back and breaking your already fragile heart. "I will speak with him. Please stay here, I will be back soon." Igris said, standing up and disappearing in a wave of shadows.
As you sat there, the man from the first day emerged from the next room. "You know, this is exactly what I had told him would happen when he proposed the idea of marrying you." The man said, his hand shooting out and grabbing your wrist. His grip tight, sending a shock of pain up your arm. You desperately asked him to let go but he didn't. He tightened his hold and began walking forwards. You were dragged from the chair, nearly tripping over your feet as you were taken from the dining room to the gardens outside. The man tossed you to the ground, satisfied with the look of terror on your face. "You have no place here and I will not be downgraded to the simple task of watching the grounds while you wander the palace as if it is your home." The man said, unsheathing his sword and lifting it above his head.
You could taste the fear in your mouth. Your eyes wide as you frantically looked around for something to stop him. Seeing something off to the side, you grabbed the loose dirt and threw it in the man's face. He sputtered and dropped the sword to his side as he wiped the dirt from his face. It gave you enough time to scramble to your feet and rush to the throne room. Tears fell down your face as you heard the man's angry shouts behind you. "Jin Woo! Igris!" You screamed out their names hoping they would hear you. You yelped as something sharp flew past your face. You lifted your hand to the area that was hit. Pulling your hand back to see blood, your heart sank. "You stupid bitch. My King will never marry you." The man snarled behind you; his eyes wild with anger. You pushed forward, pushing the double doors open and rushing in. Igris turned when he heard your feet against the ground. "Igris." You whispered only for that man to throw a dagger into the back of your leg.
You fell to the ground with a strangled cry leaving your lips. Tears fell down your face as your hand shakily moved towards the dagger. Your heart pounding dangerously fast in your chest and the man stocked closer to you. Igris was in front of you in an instant, his blade drawn. "What the hell did you do to her?!" Igris hissed, his link with Sung Jin Woo spiking, hoping the King could sense the urgency. As the man opened his mouth to start yelling, the doors burst open, nearly falling off the hinges. Jin Woo stormed into the room and froze. The moment his eyes landed on you and your injured body; his mind went blank. "Who the hell did this?!" He roared. His shadows shook at his palpable anger.
Jin Woo's eyes darted around the room looking at each of his guards. Each one looked terrified to the nine, but his personal guard, one he had hand-picked, stood there with a blank look on his face. Jin Woo's eyes narrowed, and he slowly walked towards the man. The shadows swept around his feet and cape as he moved. Igris and Bellion moved towards you and held their hands out for you. "Are you alright, your Highness?" Bellion asked, eyeing the damage done to your leg, cheek and the bruises that lined your wrist and arm. You took their hands but didn't answer, you were so shaken from the incident. Bellion, Igris and Beru stood around her, keeping their eye on the other guards that kept eyeing her. Taking a quick glance at you and seeing that you were protected by his top three guards, Jin Woo turned back to his personal guard.
"Care to give me an explanation as to why my fiancé came running into the throne room with you following behind with a killer's intent?" Jin Woo snarled, staring the man down. "Your Highness. I have repeatedly told you that having a witch of light in our palace is grounds for the shadows to disappear and you to become weak. We can't have a weak king." The man said, turning his attention to you and glaring. You shuttered but Igris moved in front of you, blocking you from the man's view. Jin Woo's hand shot forward and grabbed the man by his jaw. Now, Jin Woo could see the fear in his eyes.
"I have made it perfectly clear that no one, and I mean NO ONE is to touch her while she is here. I was the one that made the arrangement for the marriage, and I want and plan to see it through. I don't need your approval for anything that concerns the kingdom. You are but a guard that is to follow my orders. For you to turn against my orders and strike my Queen just tells me that you won't shy from betrayal. I already knew that you were a piece of shit, but you were a good guard to have." Jin Woo's eyes began to glow purple the more he spoke, his anger beginning to rise to a new level. His hand tightening its hold on the guard's jaw. A cracking noise filled the silent throne room. His voice came out sharp, and deep, scaring even Bellion, a shadow that never showed the slightest fear.
Trying to leave his grip, the man began sputtering the best he could through the pain of his broken jaw. His body froze when Jin Woo reached for the sword that sat on his right hip. The blade being drawn was the only sound heard. The man began to fear what was to happen to him. He begged his King with his eyes to spare his life, but the look Jin Woo gave him made him realize that he wouldn't be coming from this room alive. Bellion, knowing what was about to happen, swept you up in his arms and rushed from the room. You were confused but felt a sudden thankfulness that he had rushed you from the room.
Appearing at the room that Jin Woo had designed and given to you, Bellion gently placed you on the ground and bowed. "I deeply apologise for taking you from that room, but I couldn't bear for you to see what the King has to do." He said, straightening up and turning back towards the throne room and walking away. You entered the room, closed the door, and rushed to the bed. As you lay there, everything caught up to you and tears silently fell down your face. Your leg was throbbing from where the dagger had stabbed you and where Igris had skillfully removed the dagger, dressed the wound, and wrapped a bandage around it. You pulled one of the pillows against your chest and cried into it.
Jin Woo sighed, his sword's point resting against the floor as the guard's body dropped to the ground, blood spilling across the marble floor. A maid rushed forward with a rag and handed it to Jin Woo. He took the rag and cleaned the blade before sheathing it. He clenched his fist as your scared face popped into his mind. "Bellion, Beru." He called out. The two shadows appeared in a sudden wisp of shadow, bowing. "Yes, my Liege?" Beru asked. "I want you and the other shadows to patrol the palace grounds. Check every guard I have here that is not a shadow and make sure they are not plotting to hurt Y/n." He said, his anger slowly soothing at the mention of your name but he was still angry. "As you wish my Liege." Beru disappeared and took a large portion of shadows with him.
"Bellion, where is she?" Jin Woo asked, his voice softening slightly. "Your Highness, I took her to her room so she wouldn't have to watch you behead the guard. She was already shaken from being attacked." Bellion said, watching and gauging his King's reaction. Jin Woo simply nodded his head. "I am leaving you to guard this room while I go and speak with her. I...I hope she doesn't break off the engagement because of this." Jin Woo could feel his two hearts thundering loudly against his ribcage. He was scared. He would never show it or admit it to anyone but he was scared she would leave him. Bellion bowed and stood up, moving towards the last few guards that were in the corner shaking.
Jin Woo rushed from the throne room and towards your room. Appearing in front of your room and raising his hand to knock was more nerve racking than he remembered. Gently tapping his knuckles against your door, he heard sniffling and quiet "One moment". He took a deep breath and released it right as you opened the door. His two hearts sank when he saw your red rimmed and puffy eyes showing that you had been crying. He immediately surged forward, wrapping his arms around you and holding you tightly to his chest. "I am so sorry. I should have been around you more than this wouldn't have happened." He mumbled, feeling your body shaking against his. You gripped his shirt in your hands and buried your face in his chest, your tears still falling down your face. He never said anything, just held you close, providing a protective feeling to fall over you.
You and Jin Woo had pulled from each other after a few moments to sit on the edge of your bed. His arms crossed over his chest, and your hands lay in your lap. "The guard that hurt you is no longer....here. He can't hurt you anymore. I have instructed my top shadows to go through all the guards to find the ones that happened to be working alongside him. I won't let anything like that happen to you again. It shouldn't have happened to you in the first place." Jin Woo said, his arms slightly falling from where they were crossed. You shook your head. "It wasn't your fault." You whispered, moving closer to Jin Woo. He noticed but said nothing. Before long, your head laid on his shoulder, your hand reaching out and waiting for him to place his hand in yours.
When you felt the weight of his hand in yours, you intertwined your fingers with his and felt his body relax against yours. You closed your eyes and smiled when his head laid down on top of yours. "Let's stay like this for a little bit. It's been a while since I felt at peace like this." Jin Woo whispered, his body sagging even more. You nodded your head and sighed softly when your body finally relaxed. Not realizing it, both you and Jin Woo lay backwards, falling onto the bed. His arms wrapping around your waist and pulling you to his chest. He pressed his forehead against yours and slowly opened his eyes.
His eyes trailed over your face before landing on your lips. "May I?" He asked, looking back to your eyes. You nodded your head, closing your eyes as he leaned forward and pressed his lips to yours. Warmth spread through your chest as you pressed closer to him. The kiss made you feel safe. Filled you with warmth. Jin Woo was the first to pull away, his eyes slowly opening. His two hearts pounded in his chest as he watched your hand move to your lips, your fingers brushed against your lips. "Can't believe my first kiss was with the Shadow King himself." You whispered, a smile on your lips as you immediately dove into his chest covering the blush that formed over your face. Jin Woo froze for a moment before laughter filled the room. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you close as he hugged you tightly.
A few months later, Jin Woo is sitting next to you in your shared bed, a book in his left hand, while his right hand is occupied holding yours as you lay next to him asleep. The wedding night of a few days ago tired both his kingdom and your kingdom out. The celebration of the uniting of Shadows and Light lasted for weeks as you and Jin Woo were celebrated. Opening your eyes, you rubbed the sleep from them before sitting up and scooting closer to Jin Woo's side. Your chin fell to his shoulder as you peered over and looked at the book he was reading. You scrunch your nose when you read a few sentences making the Shadow King chuckle. "Not your cup of tea my love?" He asked, his eyes crinkling as his smile got bigger.
You shook your head, grabbing a bookmark and placing it in his book before taking it from his hand. You placed the book on the nightstand and laid down, opening your arms for your husband. He smiled and immediately pulled the blankets closer as he snuggled into your chest, sleep already starting to settle over the two of you. Jin Woo felt his muscles finally relaxing as he was in his wife's arms. Her fingers running through his hair, scratching near the base of his neck. You took the time to look over your now sleeping husband.
You looked at the rings that glinted on his finger and your finger as they had been intertwined just before he went to sleep. You pressed a few kisses to the top of his head before laying your head on top of his head. You stayed awake for just a few more moments before you could feel your eyelids growing heavier. You turned yourself closer to your husband without disturbing his sleep and yawned. "Good night my love. I can't wait to rule both the Shadow and the Light with you." You mumbled softly before closing your eyes and allowing sleep to finally take over. Happy to finally have someone who loved and cherished you.

Pain is all you can feel. Through your closed eyelids, you can see a shining bright light. You lift one arm, moving each finger individually to make sure nothing is broken. You then repeat the process with your other arm and both legs. After laying still for a moment longer, you carefully push yourself up into a sitting position, clutching your throbbing head.
You slowly blink open your eyes, seeing that you're on the outskirts of a small village. Lush green grass and bright flowers are growing all around you. You turn your head, wincing as the throbbing intensifies with the movement. As you look behind you, you feel your heart stop.
No wings.
You feel around the top of your head, panic quickly setting in.
No halo.
You look around frantically and spot the two dull pieces of your now-broken halo. You crawl over to them, gently picking them up and holding them back together. They don't stick, reforming into your normal glowing golden halo. Instead, they stay as those two sad-looking pieces of what now feels like metal. You sigh, sticking the halo pieces into your pocket. Wait, pocket?
You look down at your clothes; you aren't wearing Heaven attire anymore. Instead, you're wearing a dark green tunic, pale brown pants, and dark brown boots.
What could've happened? Are you not in Heaven anymore?
Taking another look at your surroundings, you get your answer. There are humans within the village, going about their daily lives. Real, living humans.
You aren't in Heaven.
You're on Earth.
"Hello there, dear."
You start at the sound of someone's voice. Turning around, you see an elderly human wearing a pink dress with an apron over it. She's holding a basket that's filled with colorful vegetables.
"Um, hi," you murmur.
"What're you doing out here all alone?"
You hesitate, struggling to think of an answer. How did you even get here? "I got lost," you answer. It's vague, but an acceptable explanation.
The lady nods. "Well, I can bring you to the village, and I hope you'll be able to find your way home from there."
You nod, standing up on trembling legs as you follow her through the woods and into the small village. The houses are made of stacked logs, and there are some small vendors set up.
The lady gestures to a large building near the center of the village. "That's our inn," she says. "I'm sure you'll be welcome." You smile at her, walking towards the inn.
The innkeeper is a short-ish elf wearing hunting gear; the lobby appears to be some sort of tavern, with beings of all species and professions gathered around and drinking. The innkeeper smiles up at you. "Well, how do ya do and what can I do for you?"
"I'd just like a room for one, thank you," you say.
"I've got it covered! That'll be twenty silver."
You freeze. You don't have this world's money. "On second thought, I think I'll be fine."
The innkeeper gives you a questioning look, but merely shrugs as you leave.
You now know one thing for certain.
You must get back to Heaven as soon as possible.

"My lord." Igris bows before Jinwoo.
"No need to bow, my friend. What is it?"
Igris stands up straight, though seems a bit hesitant to speak. "You remember that strange light we saw last night?" The prince nods; the previous night he'd been woken by a bright beam of light near the outskirts of Hemlock Village. "Well," Igris continues, "I've recieved reports of a strange person who appeared outside Hemlock. Beru and I believe they may be related to that light."
Jinwoo stands from his throne, patting his friend's shoulder. "Then I suppose we're taking a trip to Hemlock."

Note
I have been in a hades bump for a while I just thought up a room boss set up featuring Necro as a boss ( Context she was sentenced to X number of years in the underworld for crimes in the mortal world and Hades as per his word would shave off a chunk of that sentence if she kills Zag when he tries to escape)
Her boss room is rare and usually is found Asphodel. If Zag wins ( Necro adapts and uses a different play style ) if Necro wins, she will still remain in that style.
Just curious what would Zagreus do in your au when it comes to her prison sentence
It sounds a bit like the Erebus room in Hades to me (which you can only access if it is the right temperature), or in any case like the apparitions of Thanatos. Occasional in Asphodel, but not very normal.
Zagreus probably like with certain bosses, may have a certain level of affinity with Necromancer either to have more information about escape routes, gifts in exchange, or stories from the surface (it is probably from Necromancer that Zagreus learns the existence of birds🤣 ).
Similarly to Sisyphus during the game, it is most likely that Necromancer will be freed from her pact with Hades that binds her with chains to Asphodel, but she decides to carry out her sentence so as not to provoke Zeus and, in addition, have more knowledge of the others important figures of Greek medicine (and necromancy).
In Dead Royalty, Zagreus takes advantage of his good relationship with Necromancer to make her part of Consort/reader's personal guard, along with Achilles, Patroclus, etc.
You could say that Necromancer is the one who notices Zagreus' dark aura the most since he killed his father and who acts most cautiously (not in an obvious way) to avoid losing the favor of his now BOSS.
If Zagreus is a yandere to consort/reader, their best bet is probably the Necromancer's help, as she could even give them undead guards to escort them secretly from Zag, but they also has to make sure she doesn't return them in when things get tough. make it difficult
Necromancer is a friend, but she can be your worst enemy. So, be aware.
______

Things in my FOD au that makes sense
Drew takes pictures of Leon as much as he can because in his eyes, Leon is the most beautiful thing on this planet.
Rhea is obviously visually the 'scary dog' but the reality is Cassie is the scary dog and rhea does not hesitate to use that privilege. Cassie not only barks, she bites and bites hard.
When Leon was under his father's leadership he was known as the Skeleton Prince. The moment he became a solo act he became the Skeleton King. This is one way fans separate the two eras by calling young Leon Prince and old Leon King. Sometimes old fans still refer to him as their Prince, which confuses newer fans who only know him as King.
Cassie is the only other sibling with a royalty title. She used to be WWEs Princess when she was in NXT but when she moved up to Smackdown she earned the title Queen. Which is why fans love the Queen vs Queen fued of cassie and Charlotte. Cassie personally prefers Princess but will always refer to herself as Queen when it comes to promos.
Vinces original plan for John was to him to take over as the showstopper but John was heavily against the idea as he didn't want people knowing he was a Michaels until he made a name for himself. It would later be revealed when Leon went on to challenge John for the championship that they are brothers.
The Michaels are a mix of golden retrievers and Black cats. Taker and Leon are the families cats whilst Shawn, John and cassie are the golden retrievers.
Shawn and Leon have always been seen as the visuals of the family. Their blond hair, tan skin and bright eyes along with their sharp features and confidence has always caught peoples attention. Whilst they hate the whole visual thing affecting their personal lives they live for it the moment they step into the ring. Nothing is more of a confidence boost than thousands of fans screaming your name because you look at the camera a certain way.
John has always been the speaker of the family. He never fails when there's a mic involved. Nobody can meet his level in a promo and he gladly accepts the fact he's the promo god of the family. He'll always love the fact that his own family gets nervous of facing him in a promo.
Cassie and taker are the brutes. Cassie maybe small but she hits hard. She grew up in a male dominated family where even the only two woman even hit hard. She had no chance of being a small shy petite girl. She's all for having mixed matches because she knows damn well she can hold her own. She proved that when she fought Leon. (She lost but gained everyone's respect for the fight she put up) She trained with the best, Taker, Scott, Chyna. She will always have her own. Taker is Taker. He's a striker. He will always be the families top heavy hitter but he'll gladly pass that title to cassie when he retires. She's earned it.
It's very clear to fans that John is the leader of the pact. It used to be Taker and it still is in the comfort of their private lives. But on television, John leads the Michaels. He knows how each of them tick. He knows when Leon needs calming down and when he needs letting of his leash. He knows when cassie needs a confidence boost. When Shawn needs reminding of who he is. When taker...well when taker needs to control or release the phenom.
Leon and shawn are the quick ones. They are agile, quick, smart. Whilst Shawn is shorter, Leon moves exactly like him. The guys are lucky if they catch them off guard. It's why fans gave Shawn the fox and Leon the jaguar. They are quick, smart and beautiful. They are a very dangerous force.
Obviously Leon and shawn have teamed up. It's definitely one of fans favourite fod team ups. Obviously theyve also faced against each other too. But this leads to fantasy booking of 90s shawn and Leon. Leon fuckin hates it because he thinks the obsession with 90s shawn is one sick because the man was at his lowest mentally and physically and two erases how talented his father is now. And whilst shawn tells him not to worry and that he would of loved to face Leon in the 90s Leon quickly shuts it down anytime saying he'd pick his current father over any other version.
He would however gladly pick Abataker over any taker and that makes me giggle.
Favourite uncle check. John+Hunter, Leon+Kevin, Cassie+Scott. If I had to pick a close second for them all it'd be John+Kevin, Leon+Goldust, Cassie+Kane.
Goldust is obsessed with the Michaels kids. He loves them all like they were his own. He loves talking fashion with Leon, gossiping with Cassie and John.
Favourite 2nd gen wrestler check. John's is obviously randy. They get married but start off as really close and good friends. Cassie is Cody. Despite cody being closer in age to Leon and John, him and Cassie definitely get along better than the boys do. Leon wouldn't say he has a favourite. He kept to himself a lot. But if he had to pick any, he'd say he was closet with Randy and Solo. (The reality is he's the closet with Roman. They just have a very rocky relationship that makes it so neither want to acknowledge the fact they grew together. Like randy and john)
Favourite film genre (you ain't ready for this), Shawn loves Horror (despite getting scared everytime), Taker loves old black and white flicks (they remind him of his mother), John loves action films, superhero films. (Duh), Leon loves romance film. (Told ya you ain't ready for this) and Cassie loves sci-fi.

Yurei's Fandom Space :3
Heya folks of tumblr!
Sideblog of @fairyurei for more fandom related topics, so we follow and like back from there! Our system blog is @yuyuverse.
Now, for a quick debriefing on who I am in fandom spaces:
I have AuDHD so I hyperfixate...A LOT. The name is Yurei, as you can see, and I am an adult. I don't care too much about fandom or shipping discourse, so I don't participate in it, but if I were to take a stance, I'd be proship/profic. I mainly stick to AO3 for engaging in (and contributing to) fanworks. I am mainly a consumer of fanworks but sometimes I get ideas and I just have to write them. Though, I must say the stuff I write is purely self-indulgent, so it may only tickle the fancy of a very specific, small audience.
Please, if I forget a tag (because I will!), let me know so I can add it wherever.
Below the cut, I will attempt to list fandoms I am a part of and groups I stan, among other things. This is subject to being updated at any given time.
Yurei * Arthur (he/him) + Ark-Rose (she/her)
Musical/Artistic Groups & Soloists I follow:
Key: A - closely follow / B - casual listener
BTS [B], Dreamcatcher [A], The KingDom [A], ATEEZ [A], (G)I-dle [B], OnlyOneOf [B], Blackpink [B], SB19 [A], KAIA [B], Stray Kids [B], KARD [B], Jessi [B], BIBI [B], Alamat [B], Treasure [B], PIXY [B]
Fandoms I am in:
Alice in Borderland, Assassination Classroom, Killer Seven, Detroit: Become Human, Doctor Who, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Kingdom, Magi, Solo Leveling, MCU, RWBY, Stranger Things, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, The SCP Foundation, The Umbrella Academy, The Untamed, Winx (Club & Fate Saga), Word of Honor, YuYu Hakusho, Sweet Home, and others that I'm definitely forgetting.
As for my written works:
Published
Echoes of the Void - MHA fanfiction featuring plurality mostly centered around Aizawa Shouta. Status: Ongoing.
Naruto & Co. - A what if Naruto was a plural fanfic. Status: Currently discontinued. If we are to continue this premise, we'd need to completely change our approach and think stuff through thoroughly.
Under Construction (AKA WIP)
know that i can't (but i still want you) - An OT8 poly Stray Kids fanfic centered around Hwang Hyunjin, featuring plurality and age regression.
Change of Hearts - An Alice in Borderland fanfic centered around Ryouhei Arisu, featuring King of Hearts Arisu getting displaced within the (mostly) canon universe.
Déjà Rêvé - An ATEEZ/Stray Kids story following Bang Chan and Kim Hongjoong, featuring modern witches, ancient soulmate bonds and relationships.
Soul Covenant - A Yu Yu Hakusho fanfic based on the Netflix Live adaptation and that one episode where Urameshi and Kurama both gave up half their souls together. Will likely be a one-shot to explore possible consequences.
EMPIRE - K-Pop Industry turned Fantasy/Royalty AU centered (mainly) around The KingDom and their lore. Other idols will make appearances.
give me warmth (& eventually, i'll open my eyes) - Featuring Kaeya with mental health issues. Follows through discovery, acceptance and healing. Loosely.
GHOST - Seven, the assassin from Sissor Seven, instead of being washed upon Chicken Island, ends up on some shore in Japan in a different reality altogether. Inspired by that one Seven in MHA fic on AO3, except, this one is Seven in JJK.

I wanted to let you know I binge read Father I Don’t Want To Get Married and it was great! I was cackling every chapter and I can see why you like Regis he’s classy and also overprotective! 🥰 I think I’ll have to go with Max since he’s very cute when he’s obedient 😈
I don’t read much manhwa but can I also recommend The Return of Mount Hua?
On the topic of webtoons, I see you have read Solo Leveling! Have you also read Omniscient Reader? It is similar but lots of action it’s thrilling! I also recommend: Like Wind On a Dry Branch, His Majesty’s Proposal, The Remarried Empress, and Your Throne. I have SO MANY recommendations but those were the royalty ones with a touch of darkness to them. 😈 Trash Belongs In the Trashcan isn’t royalty au but I wanted to ask your opinion🤣

prev posts: 1 2 3 // idol!AU fic
Okay, so I’ve been developing the idol!AU a bit in between other writing projects and college stuff and I just. Came up with a completely new approach to Levander and his whole role in the story.
So, like I’ve said before, the Harts are the founders/owners of Blazing Heart Records, the biggest record label/music production company in all of the United States. They’re legends in the industry and are responsible for establishing the careers of the biggest names in American music. We're talking, like, music royalty-levels of influence and impact.
Levander grew up surrounded by music and watching artists' journeys through the industry from behind the scenes. He would always be by his parents' side as his dad (Daniel Hart) produced music for countless group and solo acts, while his mom (Kiki Kotomoto-Hart) created new looks and styles for those same artists. Because of this, Levander developed a passion for music and dreams of stardom.
I previously said that his dad tried to discourage Levander from a career in music b/c of Levander’s “lack of talent” with the guitar. But now, Daniel’s motivations are rooted in a desire for Levander to be a dutiful son and continue the family legacy. He doesn’t want Levander to be an artist b/c he (and the rest of the family) thinks a Hart’s place in the music industry is in the behind-the-scenes stuff. Management, music production, songwriting, choreography, etc. Harts weren’t made for the limelight; they were responsible for putting talent in it.
So, Daniel does whatever he can to push Levander towards fitting his family's mold and conforming to the Hart standards. He forbids Levander from taking guitar lessons, constantly talks about how harsh and difficult it is to be an artist, and only ever praises Levander’s songwriting and music composition skills. Anything that will make him disregard his dreams of stardom and become a proper Hart.
His mom, on the other hand, is more supportive Levander and his dreams. When she was younger, before she moved to America, Kiki actually tried to become an idol. However, she abandoned her dreams due to pressure and disapproval from her parents. She’s always regretted this decision, and thus was quick to defend her son and help keep his ambitions alive.
When Levander and Rachel passed their initial auditions for Star Demon and were invited to a callback, Kiki filled out the form that parents had to fill out in order to essentially give Star Demon permission to house trainees and act as their guardians during their training period. She also provided extra funds for the two and put one of her cousins in charge of looking out for them while they were in Japan. All behind Daniel’s back.
Suffice to say, the days leading up to Levander's departure from Norrisville was tense.
When Levander’s debut stage airs, Kiki is so proud of her son. But Daniel is. Conflicted.
On one hand, he’s immensely impressed with Levander and his performance. It forces him to acknowledge the fact that his son really does have what it takes to be a performer. However, ruthlessly upheld familial standards are a bitch, and Daniel still thinks Levander is better off being a producer/songwriter. He’s also kind of pissed that his son is now under a rival company and not Blazing Heart Records, so. There’s that.
Meanwhile, after Levander’s trainee debut stage, the higher-ups of Star Demon were instantly hooked on how well Levander and Randy performed together. So hooked that they started to entertain the idea of them being in a group together once they passed their debut evaluations.
Soon, Levander and Randy start having lessons together. Randy’s overly hyped, Levander’s reluctantly optimistic. It’s an experience, either way.
Ultimately, though, Levander and Randy realize that they have a lot in common. And that they really, really like being each other’s friend. They click in ways that both remind Randy of Howard but also. Not. Levander is, essentially, both similar to and the exact opposite of Howard. Quiet, ambitious, snarkily deadpan, empathetic, compassionate, loyal. Being friends with him is like a breath of fresh air, or a warm blanket to Randy. Comforting and familiar.
Meanwhile, Levander realizes that, for all his stupidity and selfish moments, Randy is a good person who just wants to be accepted and seen as "cool" by his peers. He’s dedicated, and takes his training very seriously. He’s not afraid to help others, whether by teaching them a trick to help them memorize a choreo or telling them a cheesy joke to cheer them up. When it comes to music, Randy’s a natural. His singing and dancing just. Blows Levander away. But, he's always trying to hard to be like their seniors and puts on this act that he's a lot more confident/suave than he actually is. It frustrates Levander to no end, but he can't help but sympathize with the other boy.
And when Randy finds the courage to tell Levander about what happened between him and Howard? Levander loses all the resentment he once felt towards Randy and just. Feels bad for him. He understands what it’s like when someone you care about breaks your heart and makes you second-guess yourself at every possible moment. It doesn’t just hurt; it shatters you. And, with this newfound understanding of Randy, Levander forgives the other boy and really starts to bond with him.
I initially didn’t have any plans for romance in this AU (other than Howard’s unrequited crush on Randy), but then Levander’s addition happened and now I’m shipping him with Randy. Like, I'm 99.9% positive that they're gonna be the endgame couple for this AU.
Remember when I said Levander’s like a tsundere when he starts warming up to Randy? Yeah, well…he’s also a tsundere when it comes to his romantic feelings towards Randy. Because, honestly, going from strangers to kinda-sorta friends to acquaintances with rocky histories to kinda-sorta friends again is a battle in itself. But throw romantic feelings into the mix? Yeah, Levander is having a rough time.
Also doesn't help any that him realizing his crush on Randy throws him into a full-on crisis. With him being entirely devoted to his dreams and having been raised in an environment where the standards are painfully heteronormative, he never really thought about his sexuality till Randy starts making him feel things that aren't 100% platonic.
On the other hand, Randy’s realization of him being attracted to Levander is just pure panic. No angsting over sexuality b/c, ya know, he grew up with two moms in this AU for crying out loud. Also, I always pictured Randy's attitude towards his sexuality (I headcanon him as pan, btw) being the same as mine (I'm pan). Which is basically I always knew that I never really had any sort of strong preferences for the gender I'd be attracted to, but rather only cared about their personality and if I vibed with them. It's just that I never knew how to label it till I got older.
So, Randy's panic stems from worrying about if Levander swung that way, if he should just go for it and confess his feelings, if he'd be a good partner or not, and if things not working out will badly affect their friendship.
If I could describe RandyxLevander with a song, it’d be these two.

(Of Loyalty and Royalty) "You know, Captain Solo," the Empress said, delicately putting her wineglass down. Han tried not to stare at the motion, or at her, or anywhere. Things were always awkward around her. "I had my doubts, but I am beginning to see what Luke sees in you. I am glad he has you." Han breathed a sigh of relief. Then the Empress *had* to add, "Of course, my husband does not share this response."
Royal Imperial Skywalker AU (parts 1-6)
Send me things!!(always accepting, for this or any other verse, just… slow)
It had taken several minutes of insisting, and some creative thinking on his part, but Han had finally gotten Goldenrod out of his and Chewie’s collective hairs, having sent him off on some convoluted mission to find a very vital component for modifying the Falcon. It was weird enough being in the Palace, even with Luke, so being here without him was absolutely surreal. The night before had not been a restful one, that’s for sure.
At least now he had Chewie with him. Something about that big, walking fuzzball made everyone feel more at ease, it seemed – aside from the moments it was clear he was about to lose his temper. Then? It was best to steer clear, unless you wanted to lose an arm. But… even in the early days, Luke seemed to be comforted by his presence.
Han would argue until the day he died that he was not out of his mind for missing the fact that Luke was, indeed, the Imperial Prince, given just how fumbling the kid was right off the bat. Too earnest for his own good and stumbling over his words, you’d think he’d never spoken to another human being before. Which… well, clearly wasn’t the case, but perhaps he just didn’t have as much experience with the sorts of conversations regular folk might have. And for that, he always seemed so nervous when he tried to talk to Han. It was endearing, of course, and played a large part in winning the scoundrel over, but it absolutely screamed “Outer Rim Crop-Duster” without giving a hint at any form of nobility. And yet, when he was around Chewie, he seemed to just… relax. Words flowed much more naturally, whether he addressed the Wookiee or the captain, and a good portion of the tension he carried in his shoulders would just evaporate.
The ease of interaction between him and Luke had grown over the weeks, of course, but Chewie had always been an effective buffer in any situation. He was also effective when it came to negotiations for that very reason, and it was why Han almost wished his first mate had been around for the previous night’s dinner. True, all parties agreed it was for the best that he’d stayed behind, but still; it would have saved Han a lot of discomfort.
“Well, pal,” Han sighed, flopping down on his overly luxurious bed and sprawling out, “how’s it feel, living the high life?”
Perched awkwardly on the foot of the bed, Chewie gave Han a look absolutely brimming with irony. Given his history, as well as that of his people, Chewbacca had never really been in favour of an Imperial Regime in and of itself, but there was a certain level of respect he’d always held for the newfound freedom the Wookiees experienced under the current system. He would speak ill of the life of his people under the Republic, and the galaxy headed under Palpatine, but he carefully maintained an air of neutrality towards the current Royal Family. Through it all, though, Chewie had never sought a life of luxury. He’d always been content to live day to day, repaying the life-debt he was convinced he still owed Han and doing whatever he could to find his place in the galaxy.
Han supposed that over two centuries was plenty of life lived, and sometimes you just had to find your thrills no matter their source.
“Yeah, yeah, I getcha,” Han conceded, sitting back up and running a hand through his hair. “Can’t say I’m feeling all that at home here, either.”
Chewie took a few moments to glance around the room, taking in the décor and the pure extravagance everything seemed to exude, before he finally rumbled out his opinion on the matter.
As he pushed himself off the bed and wandered over to the balcony door, Han shook his head and sighed again. “Yeah, I agree, buddy. It really is… A lot, isn’t it? No wonder the kid felt restless here. I never woulda pinned him to live in a place like this, either.” He spent a brief moment looking out at the sprawling city below him, wondering just how Luke felt every time he took in the same view, before a wry grin spread across his face. “Wanna see a little more of where your new favourite cub grew up?”
Chewie rolled his eyes. On occasion, Han would complain about how much more Chewie liked Luke than him, a joke which seemed to have worn a little thin, but the fuzzball ultimately nodded, and the two breezed out of the room to get a closer look at the wing in which they were to reside for the foreseeable future.
***
“I know, pal.”
It turned out the Imperial Palace – or, at least the sections of it they had proper access to – was not as interesting as they would have liked it to be. They were in the guest wing, of course, and had encountered far too many droids restricting access to other, more interesting sections of the building. The two could make it past if they so chose, but decidedly chose not to, if only to avoid landing on the Empress and her husband’s bad side, and to not to piss off Luke or land him in any more hot water than he might already be in. So instead, they’d settled onto an elevated veranda, sprawling and luxurious and attended by a number of other droids who sought to meet their every need, feeling every bit as though they had landed themselves in a gilded cage of their own.
“I’m not sure what the next move is either.” Chewie draped a warm, hairy arm around his shoulders, and Han was grateful for it. “I can’t live here any more than you can. It just ain’t gonna happen. Luke knows that too.”
He left the next bit unsaid, and as Chewie finished his thought for him, Han found himself wishing he didn’t understand Shyriiwook nearly as well as he did.
For a moment, he tried ignoring his first mate, but another, more insistent rumble, accompanied by a not-quite-painful squeeze to his shoulder had him groaning. “You’re right, of course. As usual. I can’t stay here, and I can’t just drag Luke away from this place. I’m not sure we get to be happy, yanno? In a perfect world, I’d just take the kid with us, travelling the galaxy, adventurin’ from place to place, non-stop.” He paused and allowed the wry smile to twist at his lips. Pretty sure Luke wouldn’t be strictly opposed to that, either. But…”
Silence rang heavy between them, even with the bustle of the city-planet below them. On another occasion, Chewie might have chimed in with the missing thought, again, but right now, it was clear there was no need. Han wasn’t avoiding it because he didn’t want to acknowledge it; he was avoiding it because it brought a level of pain he never wanted to confront when he was only just getting closer to Luke.
At the end of the day, it was duty that came into play, before anything else.
“Ah! Captain Solo!” Han nearly jumped out of his skin at the crisp tone of the droid as it interrupted his thoughts. “Here you are. And Chewbacca! I nearly thought I had lost you.”
He had to suppress a groan as he forced a grin and faced the gleaming golden droid. “Nope. Still here. Can’t get rid of us that easily.”
“Well, that is indeed excellent,” Threepio continued, completely missing the irony. “I do believe I have found the component you were looking for. I have placed it with your ship until such a time that you may require it.”
“Well,” Han drawled, genuinely surprised the droid had found anything, given his description, “I guess I’ll just have to take a look at it next time I’m fixin’ up the Falcon, and I’ll let ya know how you did, yeah?”
Chewie chuckled softly from behind him, but the droid carried on. “Her Majesty has requested your presence, Captain Solo. I must request that you follow me.” Request was more than likely putting it mildly.
Chewie raised a brow at the droid, rumbling a soft inquiry in Shyriiwook, but Goldenrod seemed unfazed. “I apologize, Mr. Chewbacca. While I recognize your desire to accompany the Captain, the Empress has asked to speak with him alone. However, if you so choose, I may wait with you outside her chamber while they carry out their business.”
The Wookiee was losing patience with the droid almost as quickly as Han was, but Chewie had always been better at maintaining his composure. Despite his own frustrations, he growled an agreement. Both Han and Chewie followed the protocol droid to the hallway leading to the Empress’ chambers, Han being ushered in while Chewie was pointed to a position just to the side of the doorway.
“Mistress Padmé awaits you inside, Captain Solo. I advise you do not keep her waiting.”
“Yeah?” Han felt his lips contort into a wry, contrary sort of smirk. “Well, I’ll make sure I don’t. I know better than to keep a woman like that waiting.”
“Indeed, you do have some wisdom in you after all, Captain Solo.” Threepio’s voice was chipper and polite as ever, but if he didn’t know better, Han would almost think the droid was mocking him.
“Right,” he replied, face darkening slightly, before turning to his friend. “See ya later, Chewie,” he said with a nod. “Try not to tear off Goldenrod’s arms while I’m in there.” He’d lowered his voice, but not enough to go undetected by a droid’s auditory sensors, and Han took more pleasure than he probably should have in the way Threepio seemed to jump at the comment.
Striding forward, the assured steps he took into the chamber worked to conceal the anxiety that truly roiled beneath Han’s composed exterior. Something about the Empress caused his legs to turn liquid and his wits to escape him. Luke was able to disarm him with his charm and catch him off guard enough to force him into idealism; the Empress disarmed him completely with her ability to read right into the core of his being.
Actually, every member of the family seemed to share that ability. His thoughts hadn’t felt private since he’d landed on Coruscant. The Empress could see right through him, the Princess shared her mother’s eerie personal precision, the father had his own brand of intimidation, and Luke…
Luke had always been able to sense Han’s vulnerabilities. Even when it wasn’t obvious that was what he was doing, it was present enough that the kid seemingly maintained a solid connection with him no matter what. Now that Han knew just what Luke’s connections and abilities were, he couldn’t help but feel just a touch more wary of him. He’d never much believed in the Force, nor did he really know what it did, and he didn’t quite trust it.
But… he did trust Luke.
He knew just how gentle the kid could be. Despite the insecurities they both felt, despite knowing what seemed to eat at him the most… Han held faith in Luke. It made him uncertain. Han was unaccustomed to uncertainty like this. But even though he was entirely unsure what the future held, he knew he had faith. A faith he hadn’t come close to holding for years before this, but faith nonetheless. He was not about to abandon that just because he was about to face the Empress, the most powerful woman in the galaxy, and someone who could very well dismiss his existence on a whim.
“Captain.”
The door closed behind him, and Han found himself in another room that seemed overly lavish and luxurious compared to what any being actually needed. He hadn’t really noticed, but they’d moved beyond the guest wing of the Palace. The droid’s escort had been so seamless that he didn’t even realize the route they were taking was unfamiliar and led past paths that had previously been obstructed. He’d been purposely misled to this chamber, and would be escorted back to his own private room so he could not find this one again, he was sure. It instilled a growing sense of unease within him, but Han would not back down. Holding his own against the Empress was all he could do. It even seemed liable to become his greatest achievement ever.
Han was not an Imperial Loyalist. He never had been. He wasn’t a rebel, by any means, just went where the credits were, but most Imperials were fairly stingy with their credits. It was the outlaws who paid the best, and for so long, he’d pledged himself where the fortune laid. But now… well. Was it fortune that drew him to Luke? Or something else? So many could look at his history, look at Luke’s identity, and draw their own conclusions. Han Solo, smuggler, scoundrel, and Imperial Leech.
Luke had never seen that in him, though. And, well, if Luke believed in him…
“I can sense your discomfort.” The Empress’ voice was somehow both cool and warm. She had an inviting air about her, something that begged you to share your every last secret, but she never shed her nobility. Calm, collected, and in control… that was the Empress, and Han wasn’t sure he would ever stand a chance against her in any sort of battle, of the wits or otherwise. And yet, he wasn’t sure that mattered. He would hold his own against her for Luke’s sake. That much felt so certain, no matter what.
“Discomfort, Your Majesty?” Yeah, playing it off seemed like his best bet. What else was he supposed to do? Just admit to the fact that he felt uncomfortable around her? No, that was a weakness he wasn’t about to show off just yet.
It seemed, though, he couldn’t fool her. The Empress wore an expression that seemed far too similar to a predator capturing its prey, though it did not contain the same level of cruelty as one who was about to devour. No, she seemed ready to play with her food before deciding if it should be consumed immediately, or if it was worthy of keeping around for a bit longer.
“You have not shown any signs of comfort since arriving at the Palace, Captain.” Her smile grew, but as it spread, it only became more inscrutable. Han really had no idea whether it carried more welcome or intimidation with it, but he could certainly tell that it carried more. “It is my sincerest hope that you may find some level of ease within our walls. I do not wish you to be on edge for the entire duration of your stay. After all, what kind of hosts would we be if you could find no trust in us whatsoever?”
Han quirked a brow. “I really gotta say, Majesty, it ain’t nothin’ personal. Promise. Your family’s done nothing wrong to me. Got no reason to stand against ya. Plus with Luke around, I’m really not about to do anything stupid like that. But you can’t blame me for being a bit nervous. I ain’t used to dealing with big shots like your family. And I’ve got no interest in kriffin’ things up. Especially not for Luke. Kid’s been through enough. He don’t need me comin’ in to make things even worse. It was his choice to have me here, and if I didn’t think he actually wanted me anywhere near the rest of your family, you better believe I wouldn’t have agreed. Sorry to say it, but my interest in politics is almost negative, so it would take either a huge stack of credits or the word of someone I trust to get me at the Palace at all.”
Did he actually just say all that? In his head it hadn’t sounded that bad. It just sounded like his usual ramblings. But actually saying it out loud…
The Empress clutched a delicate goblet in her gloved hand. It was filled with wine, and she took a long drink out of it before setting it down and smiling at Han. “You know, Captain Solo,” she said as the glass delicately took its place atop a coaster on the end table. Han tried not to stare at the motion, or at her, or anywhere. Things were always awkward around her. "I had my doubts, but I am beginning to see what Luke sees in you. I am glad he has you." Han breathed a sigh of relief. Then the Empress had to add, "Of course, my husband does not share this response."
“Well, Majesty, can’t say I expected him to.” Han hadn’t noticed, but a droid had placed a full tumbler of Correllian Whisky next to him, and he was quick to take a swig of it before he continued. “Can’t say I expected any of you to like me at all, to be honest. Still not sure if that daughter of yours is all that sold on me, either.”
Bright peals of laughter echoed through the chamber. There was genuine joy and amusement in the Empress’ expression, and it was enough to make her seem purely human. It was likely a side of her that only the closest and most intimate of associates would see from someone so regal. He’d seen the holos. The whole galaxy had. She was gentle yet stoic, kind yet solemn, genuine yet guarded… She was what you would expect a beloved Empress to be. But this – this seemed to be who she really was, and an unexpected warmth bloomed in Han’s chest at experiencing it. Maybe… maybe he wasn’t so doomed here, after all, if he’d won over the most powerful woman in the galaxy.
Maybe he’d have a chance at winning over the old man…
“My dear captain, you do understand my children well, I must say.” The light remained in her eyes, and Han could practically feel the tension in his shoulders unwind – though, that could very well be the whisky’s work. “Winning over Leia is no easy feat, but I think you have a better chance than most. She worries for her brother. And I assure you, it isn’t personal.” Clever woman, using his own defense against him. “You took her brother’s attention and caused him to be away from her. She was worried sick and missed her twin. It is not your fault – my son has always been reckless and acts of his own accord – but she resented you before she even knew who you were. Please be patient. Luke adores you. She will come to accept you no matter what. Even if she does not choose to show it.”
Han finished the last of his whisky, grimacing a bit at the thought of the princess. She resembled her mother a fair bit and had been seen in public with the Empress more often than Luke ever had been. The twins didn’t look all that much alike, really, especially when seen separately. While together, though, the similarities shone through. Similar mannerisms, expressions, body language… and they definitely interacted like siblings. Seeing them in this capacity left no doubt in his mind that the twins were, well, twins. But the princess always seemed far more like The Princess than Luke ever did The Prince.
The Empress took another sip from her goblet and her eyes settled on the dark liquid within. “My son has always been more trusting than his sister. He has a gentle heart. I know the dangers he faces because of it. That gentle heart is far too fragile for his own good, and while I know that Luke is strong… well. We all know that Luke is strong. He is not some delicate, withering flower that will crumble to pieces with a strong gust of wind. He is trusting, though, and will offer up that most vulnerable and breakable part of himself far more readily than any of us would prefer.” She paused, emptying the contents of her glass before setting it down and meeting Han’s eyes with a piercing, imperious gaze.
“The unease my family feels around you isn’t personal, Captain Solo. Neither we nor you have any reason for it to be, correct? But our concern stems largely from Luke himself. We know his nature, and when he left Coruscant for such a prolonged period of time, we all worked ourselves into a frenzy of worry about just what harm he might bring upon himself. Physical danger concerns us, of course, our family has guards for a reason, even given our own martial prowess. But Luke’s emotional state, especially when he’d fled searching for freedom… you understand why we would be concerned, yes?”
Han just nodded, wishing he had another glass of whisky.
“My husband may not be swayed just yet. Your status as a smuggler certainly does not help, either.” She really knew how to reassure him when it came to tall, dark and terrifying… “The best way to win him over, however, is to continue as you are. Make Luke happy. That is all we desire for him, first and foremost, and the finer points of status can be discussed at a later date.”
Han met her gaze with gritted determination and nodded sharply. “I will, Your Majesty. Swear on the Falcon. I will not let the kid down.”
“Good,” she replied, humour in her voice while intensity remained in her gaze. “See that you don’t. Farewell, Captain Solo. Until next time.”

Broken Halos - Chapter Two
Tumblr media
Pairing: Prince! Sung Jinwoo x Gn! Angel! reader
Warnings: Fantasy/Royalty AU, cursing, slight religious themes (reader is an angel)
A/N: The currency exposition was so fun for me to write I'm such a nerd
Taglist: @soft-dots
Masterlist
It's around noon when you hear the clamor. People shouting, bells ringing, and the odd thumps of an animal entering the village.
You'd been hiding out in alley, trying to decide the best course of action. On one hand, you could try to find a way back to Heaven as fast as possible. But 'as fast as possible' could be anywhere from a few seconds to a few years. On the other hand, you could look for a job. If you have any hopes of staying in this village for more than a day, then you'll need more clothes, food, water, and a house. And to get all of that you'll need money.
As you'd learned from your few hours here, this world has a currency consisting of coins made of three precious metals, all escalating in value. Copper is the least valuable, and can buy some foods and any water, as well as cheaper clothes. Silver is the most common, and can purchase most foods, rum, and clothes, as well as a stay at the inn. Gold is what the nobility use; it can get jewelry, high-class foods, wine, and finely-made clothes. One silver is about fifty copper, and one gold is about fifty silver. Most people are paid in a mix of a few silver and lots of copper.
And to get money, you'll need a job.
You'd noticed signs posted on boards for jobs, ranging from butcher to bartender. You'd decided that tomorrow, you're going to try out a few and see which one you think you could easily do for an extended period of time.
"The prince is here!"
"The prince has come!"
"It's the prince!"
The shouting causes you to peek your head out of the alley, and you see him. The prince. He's riding on a large bear that one of his knights is guiding.
And oh god he's handsome.
From what you'd heard around, the prince isn't married yet, and hasn't even chosen anyone to be his spouse. Seeing him now, you can't help but wonder how he isn't married. He must have people falling at his feet, begging for his hand in marriage.
The prince stops his bear at the center of town and raises his voice to shout, "I'm looking for someone who came to this village early this morning! Does anyone know where they could be?"
You freeze. Is he talking about you? What could the prince want with you? And how does he know exactly when you got here?
The old woman who'd helped you earlier looks around, before pointing towards you. "They may be who you're looking for, Your Highness."
He hops off the bear and walks over to you, his knight following close behind. You quickly debate whether or not to run away; running from the prince is almost definitely a bad idea, and he looks incredibly physically fit, so you doubt you could outrun him anyways.
You settle on awkwardly standing in the alley and bowing when he was an appropriate distance away, like you'd seen the townsfolk do. He stops at the opening of the alley, looking you up and down, causing you to shift uncomfortably.
"What is your name?" he asks.
"(Y/N), Your Highness," you say.
"Do you have any belongings in this village, (Y/N)?"
"No, Your Highness."
He looks at you a moment longer before turning around. "You work for me from now on. Let us be off."
You stand still, frozen in place as you take in his words. It takes a nudge from his knight for you to follow him back to where the bear is waiting. He gets on it, and the knight takes the reins to guide it out of the village and, presumably, back to the palace. You walk alongside the knight, still in a daze from this sudden change.
Working for the prince removes most of your concerns for a long-term stay in this world; you'll most likely be given lodging, food, and water, and at least some payment was guaranteed. You're a bit less sure about clothes, but you assume you'll recieve at least one alternate outfit.
Now your only concern is how to return to Heaven.

This is a cute oneshot by sinners_world. A royalty au where Jin-Woo’s summons are human and he accidentally makes himself a harem. (Though it’s only at the kissing stage and more like developing relationship. But it’s got Jin-Woo being soft and blushy, which is fun.)
It’s 6,489 words and the main relationships seem to be with Igris, Woo Jin-Chul, and Liu Zhigang. But some minor interactions with other characters, too.

AU WHERE ANAKIN DOESN’T TURN TO THE DARK SIDE, BUT THE EMPIRE STILL RISES.
CAN BE CONSIDERED PART OF THIS UNIVERSE
Pairings: OBITINE, ANIDALA, HAN/LEIA
Obi-Wan senses the irritation flaring within his young apprentice from the cockpit of the Valkyrie. He sighs, deciding that it would be better for him to address the issue at hand, instead of letting it fester. He has learned that from experience.
He sets the ship to autopilot, and makes his way to the living quarters of his young padawan.
Leia sits at her work table, furiously swiping through her data pad and going over the security measures around the Imperial base that she and Obi-Wan are set to infiltrate. She doesn’t look up at him until Obi-Wan seats himself beside her.
Obi-Wan prepares himself for the question he is about to ask. He doesn’t know how Leia will answer it. If she is anything like her father, which she is, she will not take it very nicely.
Yet, the duty fell upon him. Anakin had asked him to teach Leia for the very reason. Obi-Wan had a rather a lot of experience dealing with impulsive and hardheaded Skywalkers.
“Did you and Captain Solo argue again?”
He didn’t exactly need to ask that question. He already knows the answer. It just seemed to be the best opening.
Leia huffs, confirming Obi-Wan’s suspicions. She tosses the data pad into her table, folding her arms over her chest.
“He’s considering leaving.”
Obi-Wan crosses his legs. Yes, he had known that. Captain Solo has an impressive amount of bounties on his head. That is coming from a man who has his own fair share of them.
“He has every right to.” Obi-Wan points out to her.
Leia scowls, “Of course, he does. He doesn’t need to though. We need him.”
Obi-Wan wonders how obtuse Skywalkers can be. Anakin had been in many regards, yet, at least he never shied away when it came to Padmé.
Obi-Wan prepares himself for the backlash. “Or does it more have to do with the fact that you’re falling in love with him?” He knows that Anakin is likely to have his head for that. Most were not blind to the obvious tension between Leia and Captain Solo. Anakin has been trying his best to discourage it.
Leia scoffs, struggling to answer. “Love? Han?” She turns red. “I don’t love him.” She seems to be outraged at the very notion of having any feelings for Solo.
“What do you even know of love?” Leia snarks.
Obi-Wan has enough patience not to rise to the bait. He knows Leia is simply lashing out, and judging by the way her face crumbles, she regrets her words.
However, it does unleash a series of images in Obi-Wan’s mind.
He remembers blonde hair, a fierce woman. He remembers protecting her from bounty hunters with Qui-Gon. He remembers falling in love with her. He remembers leaving. He remembers her dying.
“Enough.” Obi-Wan answers quietly, without even registering his own words. “I know enough.”
Leia’s eyes widen, and she looks unsure for a moment. She, like most, is unaware of Obi-Wan’s history with Satine Kryzé.
He doesn’t know what his face looks like, but it must not have been good, for Leia sits forward and wraps her fingers around his arm.
“Uncle Obi-Wan, I didn’t mean-“
He waves her off, “I know, my child.”
Silence stretches between them before Leia gathers her courage.
“Who was she?” He sees a shy sly smile creeping onto her face, and Obi-Wan knows that smile. He has been seeing that smile for decades now.
Obi-Wan fixes her with an unimpressed gaze. Leia sits back, shrugging. “I can always ask Dad.”
Obi-Wan decides, then and there, that he would tell Leia a few of the details. It was better than letting Leia get them from Anakin. He would likely exaggerate, and Obi-Wan would never hear the end of it.
“She was a Duchess.” Leia beams at Obi-Wan’s admission, knowing she has won. These Skywalkers will be the death of him.
“Do you and Dad have a thing for royalty?” She interrupts. Leia throws her hands up in surrender at the glare Obi-Wan levels at her. She gestures for him to continue.
“I was her Jedi protector.” He is quick to continue to stop any more commentary on the similarities between Anakin’s, and his love lives. Leia surely thought of it as she giggled. “She loved lilies, the white ones. She hated my guts most of the time…”
And Obi-Wan ends up telling Leia a lot more than a few details.
After they return from their mission, Obi-Wan doesn’t say anything when Leia adds a pot of white lilies to their small assortment of plants in the living space of the Valkyrie. And if Leia notices that Obi-Wan gives a little extra care and attention to them, she doesn’t say anything either.

My AUs
Some people actually expressed interest in what AUs I have so here is the rough list! I have a feeling I’m forgetting some but this is all I could remember atm.
Also yes, there’s a lot of tuggoffelees because for a couple months that’s what I really focused on. If you’re not a fan of the fact a lot of these are centered on tuggoffelees, either leave it alone or talk to me about expanding on some of the other ships! We’re here to be creative, not judgmental. I’m proud of my work.
Feel free to send in questions or dm me (here or on discord) to talk more! Or feel free to make a new AU/expand upon one or some of these with me! I love making AUs with other people.
Main AUs (I’ve put the most time/effort into these and have discussed them at length)
Dystopian Crime AU (Also called the Partner in Crime AU)
This AU is my baby
Dystopian AU where London is widely unsafe, run by an apathetic and unjust government, and divided by different gangs. The Jellicles consider themselves a gang but are more of a safe haven than anything. That is until The Hidden Paw tries to stomp out any last bits of music and life in the city.
Tuggoffelees is the main ship but I haven’t made a decision on the other ships; either Munklonzo and Bombacass OR Demebombastrap and Casslonzo
This is the AU I’m honestly most likely to write one day, sorry if I’m a little vague when publicly talking about it. This is also the AU I’m developing solo, but I love talking about it.
Character sheets: Mistoffelees, Tugger, Munkustrap and Macavity, Victoria and Plato, Demeter Bombalurina and Jemima, Cassandra and Alonzo
Royalty AU
There’s kind of three different stories happening here; Victoria running away from her life as the next queen, Misto searching for his sister, and Demeter having a Cinderella-esc moment.
The world is separated into a bunch of different kingdoms, and all of the characters are either some level of royalty or peasants.
Victeazer, tuggoffelees, and Demestrap
Moodboards: Victoria, Mistoffelees, Macavity, Munkustrap, Tugger, Demeter, Bombalurina, Cassandra, Alonzo, Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, Plato
Evil Misto AU
Community Theatre AU
No main ships, a retelling of the actual CATS musical from a human au
College AU
No main ship, just a lot of HCs
Among Us AU
No spoilers now; based off the popular game. 3 different endings possible (good, medium, and bad)
Moulin Rouge AU
Mostly based off of the 2019 Broadway adaptation with some of my own twists as well
Smaller AUs (These AUs are either just for fun or not nearly as fleshed out)
Soulmate AU(s)
I’ve made so many of these, back when I mostly shipped tuggoffelees but now I’ve got ideas for these different AUs for a plethora of ships
Coffee Shop AU
Also an assortment of ships
Figure Skating AU
ALSO an assortment of ships
(2) POTO AU
A demestrap au with Demeter as Christine and Munk as Raoul and Macavity as the Phantom
A tuggoffelees au with Misto as Christine but instead of a prestigious opera its a ballet
Quarantine AU
This is more of a crack au honestly
Hello, Dolly! AU
Also probably a crack AU, I’ve seen the stage version a couple times and finally watched the movie- that’s when I came up with this.
Honestly I’m having a hard time figuring out who Dolly would be.
Tangled AU

The Christmas Tree Surprise
Day 12 of 2020′s 31 Days of Ficmas.  Thanks to @doctorroseprompts for the list!
Prompt: Tree
Rating: G
Pairing: 12xRose AU; part of the Queen of Hearts universe
Summary: Ian surprises Rose with a Christmas tree for them to decorate that’s just for their eyes - but it’s the decorations he has ready that makes her melt.
2020 31 Days of Ficmas masterlist  |  Queen of Hearts masterlist
AO3
---
“Goodbye!”  With a final wave to the schoolchildren gathered on the steps, Rose stepped into the town car, smiling and blowing kisses out the window as they pulled away from Arcadia Grammar School, waiting until they were out of sight to sink back into the leather.  “I loved that.”
“I’m glad, ma’am,” her private secretary, Jo, said warmly.  “And they loved you, of course.  I suspect I know what they’ll go home telling their parents about at supper tonight.”
Rose smiled at the idea.  “I hope so- that they enjoyed it, I mean.  I’m just glad I was able to read the book without any mistakes.  That’s my definition of a successful engagement, at least!”  It was only in the last few weeks she’d graduated to doing solo events, and though terribly stressful, she was proud of how they’d gone – no incidents yet, though a few near misses.  Most importantly to her, though, she hadn’t walked out of any yet, nor burst into tears. High standards you’ve got for yourself, Rose Tyler.  “So, what’s next?”
Jo consulted her iPad, scrolling for only a moment.  “The King has blocked off the next two hours of your schedule.  No description was given, only to go directly to your suite – he’ll meet you there.”
“That’s odd.”  Rose frowned, biting her lip as she thought.  “Gosh, I’m not in trouble for anything, am I?”
“I doubt it,” Jo dismissed out of hand.  “It’s the first of December – if I know him, you’ll be drowning in tinsel the moment you walk through the door.  Decorating the Palace may be your responsibility, but he’ll handle your suite.  Just you wait and see.  I’m sure it’s fine.”
Rose chewed on that the rest of the drive back, hoping the other woman was right – not that she really doubted her, as she hadn’t been steered wrong yet, but a not-so-small part of her heart was convinced any moment they’d decide she wasn’t learning quickly enough, or performing well enough as Queen, and send her home with only the things she’d arrived with.
The Palace was bustling as they pulled up, the grounds crew decorating for the holiday season and transforming the normally-magical (to Rose) Palace into a winter wonderland.  Fresh garland was being hung over every doorway and window frame on every level, complete with red, gold, and silver ornaments nestled amongst the sprigs.
“It’s beautiful,” Rose breathed as they entered, making Jo laugh. The page stationed just inside the door took her coat, and she headed up the stairs towards their suite of rooms making mental notes on the needed decorations; work hadn’t started indoors quite yet, as she was still pouring over pictures of previous years to get an idea of how it should look.
At the top of the stairs Jo peeled off towards her own office, and Rose traversed the last few meters to her door alone.  Smiling at the guard who let her through, she was nearly overpowered by the scent of fir.  Coughing slightly, she followed her nose to the end of the hall where their bedroom door was cracked open; pushing inside, she found her husband watching with his arms crossed as two teenaged pages wrapped lights around a tree.
Not just a tree- a gigantic tree.  A good three or four meters high it stretched towards the ceiling, so straight she was certain supports were in use.  It was terribly wide, though their bedroom was so large in and of itself that it felt perfectly at size.  Blimey.  Row after row of unlit lights wound from the top down, the sweaty pages finishing the last of it with relieved sighs.
“Right, let’s light her up, see how it looks,” Ian said.
One page went around the back towards the outlet while the other turned to face Ian; catching sight of Rose, his eyes widened, and he bowed to her. “Your Majesty.”
“Hi, Sam,” Rose said faintly, stepping up to Ian’s side. “Hey, you.  What on Earth is this?”
“It’s our Christmas tree,” her husband grinned, kissing her hello. “Don’t worry, we’ll be decorating it together, but I’ve learned that there can be certain perks to this job, and getting someone else to do the bits I can’t stand is part of that.  In this case, stringing lights on a tree.”
“Happy to do so, Sir,” Sam assured him as the lights flicked on, Josh stepping out from behind the tree and bowing to her as well.  “What do you think?”
Arm in arm Rose and Ian stared at the tree; knowing he was probably examining it from a practical viewpoint, she just took in the beauty and the wonder – she’d never had a Christmas tree in her bedroom before, and certainly not with half a dozen others expected to be sprinkled throughout the house.  Not that the 170-room palace she now called home counted as a house.  Is this really my life?
“Rose?  What do you think?”
“It’s perfect,” she said firmly.  “Just as it is.  Thank you, Sam, and Josh.  Lovely job.”
Recognizing the dismissal for what it was both young men bowed, murmured, “Your Majesty”, and backed out of the room, shutting the door behind them and leaving Rose and Ian alone.
“Hello again,” he greeted her, turning to face her and wrapping his arms around her waist, drawing her close.  “How’d it go at the school?”
She reached up to kiss him, just because she could, before leading him over to their sofa and curling up next to each other as she gushed. “Oh, it was wonderful!  They were all so bright, and kind.  I read the story, answered a few questions and asked some of my own, and they sang a Christmas carol – “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”, if you must know.  It couldn’t have gone better.”
“I’m so glad to hear that.”  His eyes crinkled, as he kissed her knuckles.  “I was hoping it would.  I know how important it is to you.”
Rose just smiled, glancing back over her shoulder towards the tree now dominating their living space.  “Thanks. What’s the plan here, then?”
“When you’re ready, I thought we’d decorate it together.  More of a homemade style, if you’re interested. Everything out there,” he gestured towards the doors, “will be prim and polished and befitting a royal Palace, but in here, I want it to be just a normal married couple celebrating their first Christmas together.”
“Normal, right,” she teased, elbowing him.  “In our one hundred-plus square meter bedroom, with five-meter high ceilings and an army of staff.  Not to mention real, actual, literal crown jewels.  Not just a euphemism!”
Ian rolled his eyes in a good-natured way.  “Decorations are over there, if you want to start.”
“Mhmm, not quite yet.  Tell me about the tree – where did you find it?”
“Find it?”  His tone was somewhat bewildered.  “Didn’t anyone tell you- clearly not.  No, I own some acreage in Germany, all of which is forest.  Clearly we’ve had it zoned for cutting down Christmas trees, and it supplies the Palace and Arcadia’s Town Square with trees every year – sustainably, of course.”
Jaw dropping slightly, Rose wondered if it would ever cease to amaze her at how casually he could mention property and possessions – the land in France, where the family vineyard and winery stood, financing some of their royal lifestyle; a ski chalet in the Swiss Alps just over the border from Gallifrey; a “cottage” on Lake Como; and now this.  “How international of you,” she managed, making him laugh.
“It’s a royalty thing,” Ian grinned.  “Pretty much everything’s been in the family for centuries, at this point – especially land.  Most of it’s dowries from various queens marrying in, back when Europe was littered with royal families.  I think the most recent addition was the purchase of a flat in Paris in the Twenties. My great-grandmother was from Lyon, and met my great-grandfather by happenstance at the vineyard.  As a wedding present he got her the flat, and they’d go up for weeks at a time.”  He coughed. “It wasn’t the best investment in hindsight, but it’s still there and ours, though I don’t think anyone’s been since my parents honeymooned there.  But we can visit at some point, if you like.”
“Not if it’s a problem, but yeah, I’d love that.”  A glance at the tree refocused her.  “Tell me more about the trees, though.”
“The parcel of land came into the family as part of a dowry, as I said, of a Württemberg princess, back when the area was a Duchy in the Holy Roman Empire.  Over time, parts were sold off until just a dozen or so acres remained.  The team that manages the site has been doing so for, oh, two hundred years, so they have it down to a science.  Any excess trees that would be too big after another year of growth are sold – mostly to local governments or other high-ceilinged buildings.  It’s not necessarily a moneymaker, but the sales bring in enough to keep everything operating, which is honestly all I care about.”
“It sounds wonderful,” Rose said truthfully.  “Have you ever been up to see it?”
His brows furrowed in thought.  “As a child, but not recently.  I think Donna took the twins up two years ago to pick one out for Lungbarrow House.  If you like, we can go up next year.”
“I’d like that.”
They fell silent then, admiring the lights strung on the tree. It was nearly hypnotizing, Ian’s steady heartbeat beneath her ear, his warm arms around her, the twinkling lights blinking in and out, all of it working together to lull her to sleep.
And when she slept, she dreamed of wandering through a forest, Ian’s hand in hers, a small child running ahead shrieking with joy.
-
It wasn’t until after dinner they had the opportunity to actually decorate.  While Ian started an instrumental Christmas playlist, Rose opened the first storage container full of decorations – and froze.
“Surprise.”  Her husband’s chuckle behind her made Rose spin, eyes wide.
“You- My- How?”  Speechless, she gestured to the tub, full of her childhood ornaments.
Looking inordinately pleased with himself, he reached in and pulled out the top ornament- clearly school-made, it featured a four-year-old Rose and a toothy grin.  “I called your mum a few weeks ago, and asked her if she had any ornaments you might want put on our tree.  She shipped them out, and they arrived yesterday.  Plus, we brought everything you had in your flat- it’s all combined in this container.”  His smile faltered.  “I hope that’s all right- that I didn’t overstep.  I was very clear I was only asking for things she didn’t mind parting with.”
Overwhelmed, Rose threw her arms around his neck, hugging him tight. “Thank you.”
“Of course.”  His arms went easily around her waist.  “This is your home now, and I want it to feel that way.  Over time we’ll build up our own supply of sentimental ornaments, but our individual childhood ones seemed a good start.”
“It is.  I also want to set our own traditions, though.  But you better have similar ones – I don’t want my baby pictures to be the only ones on there!”
Ian laughed.  “They won’t be,” he reassured her.  “I have plenty handmade, awkward picture ornaments as well, and they’re sitting in that box there,” he pointed to the one beneath her own.  “Now, shall we start?”  He handed over the one he’d originally picked up.  “I confess to having rifled through them somewhat, and this was one of my favorites.  I think it should be first on the tree- would you like the honors?”
“Together.”
Hand in hand they stepped up the tree, and by mutual, silent agreement, slid it onto a branch front and center.
“Perfect.”
And it was.

Preferred contact methods: Email: [email protected] Discord: Rise Up Ting Ting Like Glitter#1703 Tumblr: Rise-Up-Ting-Ting-Like-Glitter
Preferred organizations: - Anything from the list of approved organizations
Will create works that contain: I’m good for most AUs or Canon Divergence. I’m better for second degree AUs (royalty, fairy tale, assassins, space pirates, warlords) than I am for first degree (coffee shop, college). Plotty fics are my bread and butter. I’m good for T-E ratings and have no problem with PWP, though I reserve the right to nope out of any individual kinks. -best to talk to me first if you want something porny! Give me a plot to wrap it around or let me loose and I’m all about: BAMF Tony, Angst with a happy ending, power imbalance with a happy ending, arranged marriage, forced proximity (snowed-in, magically bonded, oops handcuffs) zombie apocalypse, A/B/O, getting together/falling in love, shifters/supernatural creatures, crack played straight, fake relationships, the Winter Soldier as a separate personality, bodyguards! MUTUAL PINING. If you’re not sure if I’m into something please contact me! My DMs are yours to invade!
Will not create works that contain: Fix-its, unrequited feelings, large age-gaps (supernatural reasons ie. vampires or super soldier serum reasons are fine), High school AUs, unhappy endings, major archive warnings (temporary, or otherwise limited MCD is worth contacting me about!), cheating/infidelity, kidfic/babyfic/pregnancy fic/deaged very young fic. I’m not ready for anything historical.
-- Fic or Other Writing --
Auction ID: 1124
Will create works for the following relationships: Bucky Barnes/Tony Stark - MCU Bucky Barnes/Tony Stark/Winter Soldier - MCU
Work Description: I’m offering a minimum of 5k fic which is unlikely to exceed 20k. I confess, a good plot could run longer. I’m flexible, so any level of input from you will likely work for me. If you have a plot in advance, it’s always best to confirm it with me, but I’ll do my best to work in your favourite tropes and any kinks I’m comfortable with. I’m happy to brainstorm with you or let you loose in the wilds of my idea/WIPs folder if you aren’t pre-armed with something you’d like to see. If you need a place to start, I’m looking for an excuse to write warlord Tony with tribute Bucky, OR Bucky and Tony falling in love during a zombie apocalypse in space, OR any flavour of Sentinel/Guide AU. So if these things, or things like them, might be up your alley, I’m your purveyor of words. Let’s talk fusion fic! If you have movies/shows that you’d like to see retold with our favourite ship, contact me! If I’m familiar with the movie/show in question, I’m sure we can make it work! If you’re interested in WI+ pairings, (Stuckony, WIH, WIW etc.) I’m open to discussion! I adhere to the philosophy of getting a first draft into existence by any means necessary. As a result, I’m unlikely to have something cohesive to share until I’m well into the editing stages. If you’re cool with plenty of talk and random cleaned up snippets until the fic is almost ready to post, we’ll get along swimmingly. I’m also good to work entirely solo after the planning stages. Scheduling: I’ll be available for chatting/brainstorming immediately. However, I am unlikely to begin before January. Final length of the fic will determine delivery date.
