I like to think that she'll get around to fighting that dragon as soon as she's done looking at those sweet butterflies.

Card Showcase: Royal Guard

Creature — Soldier (1/1) 001/275 Common

{W}, Tap: Create a 1/1 white Soldier creature token with haste, then return Royal Guard to your hand. Activate only as a sorcery.

What better card to showcase first than number 1 of 275! I've tracked all the cards in order of color/mana cost/type, so here's the set's white 1-drop. It's a classic 'white weenie' style of card, which gets onto the board early and can flood 1/1 tokens into play if left unchecked turn after turn. Aggro players will love this as a quick way to apply pressure against slower decks!

Flavor-wise, the Royal Guard is Griswold, a minor NPC gate captain of Crestfall. She's good at what she does, but also doesn't get directly involved if she can avoid it.

...and here's the Soldier token it creates! There are six cards in total that can make these hasty little guys, including a couple of powerful commons, so they're sure to show up fairly often.
