Future scenario where (probably after or during the midst a big lengthy brawl) Lady unleashes an immense extent of her power and encases some of Sodor engines inside of a massive time crystal. Keep in mind this AU’s version of her is largely silent and morally ambiguous. A hundred-something years pass and eventually they break out, still aggressive as they were a century ago.

I haven't posted much art lately. So here's a test concept for a more anthomorphic looking dragon design for Thomas! Design notes below the cut!

For a while, I wasn't sure if I wanted to characters to walk on all fours or two legs. So I decided to see what it would look like with two. I was strongly inspired by old Disney animation and Don Bluth films for this concept. I have to say I really like it! I might have the characters alternate between four and two legs, depending on what the situation calls for. I also have a design for Diesel 10 AND Lady in the works!

Anyways, hope you all like it. I was a little shy about posting it. It's not final or anything.😅

A: Yes, it definitely has a benefit for the engines. Thanks to it, it can save them from becoming victims of scrap, or if something physically harms them in their human form, it comes and treats them because ordinary doctors cannot treat human engines

Special Notes:

Romeo is the middle sibling of the Cupper siblings.

He learned violin at a young age from his mother.

Romeo inherited the "Schemer Curl" though he's a bit embarrassed by it, so he hides it by tying it down via the braid in his hair.

Romeo is the fastest runner out of all the kids in Shining Time.

Romeo has ADHD. Symptom Romeo can display are: fidgeting, difficulty staying on task, trouble listening, and being easily distracted.

Romeo often masks his ADHD to avoid stressing out, worrying his family.

Romeo loves trains, before Sodor he had a model train hobby that Darius and him would partake in before Darius had to get a job to support the household.

Romeo is an energetic teenager with a kind soul, he can usually be seen with his friends going around the neightborhood helping the younger kids and senior neighbors. Romeo enjoys bringing smiles to people's faces, as such he has become a bit of a class clown. This friendliness has built a lot of trust between the teen and the neighbors and as a consequence he has been targeted by the local gangs who want to use Romeo to recruit the other kids into their gang. Romeo does his best to keep the neighborhood kids safe. As a result, this leaves him fatigued and tired during school, which gets him into trouble. Romeo ends up on Sodor after being shot by one of the gangs after helping a neighbor kid escape them, he wakes up with a star scar on a platform at Knapford station. Now in a strange world. Romeo is excited to explore the realm of Sodor and have a vacation from the crime ridden city of Shining Time, but in the back of his mind Romeo knows he'll have to return and face the gangs, for his fellow Shining Timers sake.

Romeo and Gordon Romeo nearly got ran over by the big engine while freaking out over the new world and its sentient vehicles. Personality wise the two are polar opposites, while Gordon is a serious pompous engine, Romeo is a fun- loving energetic person. This often can cause conflict between the two which can lead to confusion and delay if their not careful. However, these contradicting personalities can also develop character growth for the two. For Romeo, this means he will realize and appreciate his older brother Darius's hard work to keep the Cupper family afloat, while also realizing he needs to do his part as an older brother and as a person the neighbor kids look up too. For Gordon, being around the jolly teen begins to crack the metaphorical hard outer shell of the big engine, causing his inner sweet side to ooze out and reveal that Gordon is a child at heart.

Anyways Jenny Packard is like one of the first people to manage to somehow mother an entire group of machines. The construction crew are her babies at this point and she will go to actual war for them. One of them accidentally called her mom a while back and she IMMEDIATELY accepted this, so eventually all of the construction machines started calling her variations of mom and she's perfectly okay with it. She shocks many people when she says "Oh, I have children of my own, lovely ones they are!" and then proceeds to tell them about her daughter Darcy who can bore tunnels into massive chunks of rock.

I think Hiro and Yong Bao are good friends even if they've only met a few times (at Thomas' request). They both have a lot of wisdom to share and I'm sure they'd love swapping tales with each other while riding the rails. Kenji likes Yong Bao a lot but he's a little shy and has trouble holding proper conversations with him. Yong Bao is such a special engine, he's friends with a tiger! He's a tiny bit intimidating to Kenji. Hiro tries to help the young bullet get more comfortable talking to others, he understands how hard it can be being new.

Sonny has a bit of trauma related to his past owners. He'd cost them a lot of money to purchase, which only furthered their desire to steal. And at first it seemed lovely to be owned by just a couple men who would take him wherever with no real constraints other than staying on the rails, that's the kind of freedom very few engines can dream of! But then it got to the point where he was trapped. When you're sold off you're already trapped by the legalities, but Sonny wasn't just held down by paperwork. He was held down by threats and the most harm a couple of thieves could cause an engine without causing actual damage that would make him stop working. And he was so afraid he'd be scrapped after helping his previous owners attempt the thefts of projects at the fair, but he was given a second chance and he managed to prove himself. He doesn't hang around other engines much even if they do trust him now, because he feels afraid to trust someone again, even another engine. Nia, Thomas, and Rebecca are part of the small few he does enjoy the company of. They're incredibly kind and he's learned their kindness is real.

Traintober story.

One foggy night, Edward had to take a late night goods train to barrow and furnes, he had been helping Rosie and Phillip at tidmouth harbour all day and he was positively winded. It had been a quiet journey, but that was going to end all too soon. He had stopped at a signal for not more than ten minuets when he heard a ghostly voice call out to him. "Whoooooooo aarrrrrrrre youuuuuuuu"? The voice said. "Who's that!" Said Edward in a startled tone. The voice repeated again, "whooooooooo arrrrrrrrre youuuuuuuuuuu"? The voice said in a more angered tone. "I'm Edward", the blue engine said, "and I'm waiting for my path to be cleared". The voice boomed out, "NO! YOU ARE A COWARD! "W-what?" Said Edward in a scared and confused voice. "COWARD!" and out of almost thin air a purple 0-4-0 with a gold smokebox appeared on the express line next to him. It was Lady, but not like how Edward had last seen her. Her cheerful, happy self looked like only a thing of the past, now she looked enraged and furious. "What do you want!?" Said Edward in a tone that could only be seen as pure terror. "Revenge". the magical engine said. Edward shook. He shook so much that his crew could bearly stay on his footplate. "W-why?", Edward asked in a feeble tone. "You ran when you heard that he was coming back. You ran and you hid." She said. "You told not a single soul about me. It was only a coincidence that tank engine found me. But the engine to find me should of been you. And for that you will pay." Without a second more of thought Edward surged forward, his wheels digging into the rails as he did. He rushed through the Sudrian countryside as fast as he could. He screamed through Crovan's Gate waking all of the Skarlowey engines up. He flew through Vicarstown station and over the bridge to the mainland with Lady growing ever so closer. "COWARD! THATS WHAT YOU ARE! A COWARD!" Boomed the small engine. With every thing that was happening to him Edward felt like he was about to cry. But he couldn't because he new what Lady was doing. She was trying to make the water from his boiler turn into the tears that would come out of his face. She was trying to make him run dry. Edward had reached Barrow 15 minuets early, and he screamed through the station into a goods shed that was shrouded in thick fog with his breaks digging into the rails and his tires giving off sparks everywhere untill he slammed hard into the shed buffers causing his goods vans to have their contents clatter around with the sudden jolt. After a solid minuet of situation processing, Edward broke down into tears and cried. He cried so much that his fire had to be dropped as to not have risk of a boiler explosion. Edward cried and cried until he heard, "what's the matter, youngster?" Edward opened his eyes and looked to his side, and there, sitting on a flatbead next to him, was Duke.

Douglas and Oliver but it’s this underrated anime called destiny of shrine maiden. For Oliver, I’ve design the Greek god clothing and for Douglas, it’s the goddess clothing. What I’ve used is done entirely on copic markers.

HELLO INTERNET! WELCOME TO THOMAS THEORY!

The show that is not original in the slightest but doesn't care! Before we start I figured I should explain some things. This is not meant to be taken seriously and if I say something as a joke, please don't attack me. I'm not trying to hate on these creators. But with that out of the way lets get into this!

Now for those who don't know somehow The Stories of Sodor is A Thomas and friends fan series made by the Australian YouTube Victor Tanzig in his own unique take on Thomas and friends and his work is PHENOMENAL. The man won an award for it in The Steamy awards! But in season 5 I got to wondering about Mr Hall's Seam Diesel Conversion, otherwise known as SDC. Basically you put a motor in a steam engines boiler to save money which in theory should work, but I'm not so convinced. I think that behind the scenes Mr Hall is unintentionally bankrupting BR.

So if we go online the average cost for a Diesel engine varies but since most the engines on Sodor are mainline tender engines I just used the class 40 diesel motor as a baseline. Now I couldn't find the exact numbers as the price would only be calculated for the whole locomotive at about $3,00,000. So we'll just say about $1,000,000 as my best guess. Now that's a LOT of money for conversion not including the gears and modifications that need to be made. On top of that engines like Emily are extremely old and would probably need complete rebuilds to make the old metal they have able to keep up with the stress. Now the recent April fools episode leaked from Victor's Patreon isn't canon however Patrick makes a good point about engines needing to be completely changed to fit bigger engines as technology advances or else they can't keep up.

So there you have it folks! Mr Hall has unintentionally bankrupted British Rail! I think metal fatigue is gonna be the least of your worries. But hey! That's just a theory! A THOMAS THEORY! Thanks for listening!

Ttte Headcanon #7

Lady is not a real engine, just as things like goblins and magic dust aren't real.

That same notion does not, however, apply to ghosts, and there have been sightings and auditory evidence of haunted parts of Sodor, particularly near the Standing Stones and older places like the Narrow Gauge lines.

Even places like the sheds have their share of spooky happenings, but because they're so busy, no one really gives them too much mind.

Story of a Lady and her Home

Basically, while working on a completely unrelated project, I finally managed to come up with an explanation as to what exactly makes Sodor special, and it all comes down to Lady.

Lady is a goddess of locomotives, and she came to being in 1802, when Richard Trevithick built Coalbrookdale Locomotive - she is also the reason all locomotives are, well, how they are, with the faces and personalities. Although, at first her name was not Lady, but Jane, after Richard's wife. She did, however have the ability to turn between engine and human from the get go (and regardless of where she was, which is still true, for her and only her).

Young Jane was a friend to all engines, visiting them when they were born and seeing them regularly, but that changed in 1840 when she fell in love - and her feelings were reciprocated.

The lucky guy was Leopard, an LMR 0-4-2 freight engine, brother to Lion and Tiger. She started spending more and more time wherever he was and he always did his best to treat her like the goddess she is and a queen on top. Eventually, it became obvious to engines around them, and even some that only knew Jane; in this case we're talking about the Rocket, who possibly (definitely) had the highest EQ of early engines, and was the one to point out the possible solution to Jane's endless complaining about how they can't experience being in love to the fullest because Leo can't become a human and what not.

So, why can't she try to transform him? Theoretically, as a goddess, she should be able to do essentialy whatever she wants. And so she did... Kinda. She turned him into a humanish creature, that despite looking mostly like a regular person was still an engine at his core.

They ended up moving to Sodor (where there were no railways at the time) in Spring 1842 wearing the names Jane Taylor and Leopold Todd and got married in December the same year. And they were happy. They had a cordial relationship with other inhabitants of the island and their marriage was working out perfectly - that's also when Jane was first called Lady, as Leo called her that whenever given the chance (ex. introducing themselves to someone new, he'd say "This is my Lady, Jane"). They had mundane, human jobs, a house near the forest, and were favourite aunt and uncle of multiple kids. And, honestly, no one on Sodor was very phased by their unusual appearences (although they still made the effort to hide their wheels).

But, nothing good lasts forever. Because, as I said earlier, at the core Leopard was still an ordinary engine, that meant he couldn't just sustain himself like Jane did, and eventually time started catching up to him, the rust, lack of proper energy sources and any sort of maintenance making him unable to do more and more things until shutting his body completely - he might as well have been dead if not for retained ability to form thoughts and speak. Not long after reaching that condition, he asked to be turned back, fully aware that he most likely would be scrapped and effectively dead. And though it pained her greatly, she realized how selfish it would be to keep him like that ("Wasn't it already selfish that she took him away from friends and family so they'd have a life she dreamed of?"), so she obliged. But, first, she took him to the museum where Lion lived so he'd get to see her again and she'd get some closure as her brother was considered "the lost engine" for the past nearly forty years.

She waited, hidden, up until workers showed up, discovered Leo and took him away, and she ended up better for it, as she heard her husband tell Lion that he would not trade the life he had for anything, even the possibility of survival, so that lessend her guilt slightly.

And then, she effectively disappeared. She left the name Jane behind, and took to travelling the world, only letting herself be seen very occasionaly, maintaining a character of the mysterious Lady and never coming to Sodor - she didn't even know they built railways there - until she was truly desperate running from Diesel 10. She stayed, afterwards, because the island and now the railways, with the engines' ability... They were a reminder of what she lost, but also of what she loved. And for the most part they were pleasant reminders, even if she still sometimes saw the ghost of Leopard in places that used to be theirs. But she adjusted. She even got remarried in 2015, but that first love was what made and kept Sodor's magic alive.

I decided that since I'm currently too busy to devote myself to making a full blown Dragon AU webcomic, I'm going to be releasing lore drops and other fun stuff until my schedule is clear enough for me to tackle it.

Right now, I'm trying to decide what I should put in the next Lore Drop. Should I talk about the clan's and how they work? Should I talk more about the individual characters? Or maybe more about the island of Sodor itself? And the surrounding islands? Gold Dust lore???

There's so much stuff!!! I'm not too sure what to do first.😅 So if there's something you'd like to see, let me know in the comments/tags or send in an ask. I need help figuring out what to talk about!
