Sockerbit is a Swedish self-serve pay by weight candy store. They also carry some Finnish candy. The candy is in bins and you scoop out what you’d like. It’s $15.99/lb. They have gummy candies, licorice, marshmallows, chocolates, hard candies, etc. They also have some custom candy mixes in bags and gift boxes, as well as bagged and wrapped candies, beverages and random things like melamine plates.

The bin candy is neatly labeled, including whether the candy is vegan. They had a few types of Halloween candy and Halloween candy mixes in bags.

Swedish candy has no artificial colors, no HFCs, no trans fat and no GMOs. Swedish sour gummy skulls are my favorite. Got some of those and a bag of assorted sour gummy candies to try.

Parking is very hard to find. It’s close to the Farmer’s Market.

Last Song: apparently tiktok/instagram made me like Marina's Savages, which, ok. Before that I was listening to Lars Winnerbäck's Lång väg hem a bunch. Sort of bluegrassesque magic realism sörmland gothic from 2001.

Last Movie: dear lord. Everything Everywhere? Months ago? I rarely have patience with movies anymore. Mainly because partner is fine breaking them up into multiple sessions and I'm all or nothing. Which is a time and emotional investment I'm not super into most of the time.

Currently Reading: actively: The Dawn of Everything (nonfiction about early human prehistory and anthropological method), I have Babel on break because I got burned out on fiction. Will return after Dawn.

Currently Watching: The Weird History youtube channel's series about the 90s.

Currently consuming: Anthon Berg's large marzipan eggs, thanks to Sockerbit LA from which you can buy nordic candy in the US.
