To start, Facebook Check-Ins provide all the information a potential first-time visitor would require - your location, ratings, and a link to your Facebook page for more details. If a check-in is viewed on mobile, clicking the map will even bring up driving directions. More importantly, Facebook Check-Ins serve as a personal referral from one friend to another. The single most effective way to get a new member through the door is a personal ask. By checking-in, a Facebook user is making a point of telling her friends where she is. And people don't take the time to share a place they've visited unless they think their friends are interested. That's a far more valuable recommendation than any form of advertising could provide, simply because it's coming from your community rather than directly from you.
with Smart Social wifi you could automate all above. You could let he customer to auto check-in , like , review advertisement , see video of promotion

Eaton Hotel in Hong Kong Earns Gold Status from EarthCheck
The Eaton hotel in Hong Kong has received EarthCheck Certified Gold status for 2020. This is the second year running Eaton HK has received Gold status and follows Eaton winning four prestigious environmental accolades in short succession: the 2019 HICAP Sustainable Hotel Award for Positive Community Impact, the 39th Annual Gold Key Award for Best Eco or Socially Conscious Hotel, The HKMA Hong Kong Sustainability Award Certificate of Excellence 2018/19, and LEED v4 Gold Certification for interior design and construction. “I am tremendously proud of the hard work our team at Eaton HK and our partners have put into attaining these vital environmental performance benchmarks and accolades over the past year,” said Managing Director Dirk Dalichau. “Sustainability has been a foundational value of our new Eaton brand since the very beginning. From removing all single-use plastics and straws to prioritizing sustainably sourced and plant-based nutrition, we believe that hospitality plays a big role in making our world a better place, one initiative at a time.”
The Eaton hotel in Hong Kong is one of the most forward thinking properties in the region, and was one of the very first to install a bottling facility on-site so that it could do away with single-use plastic bottles. To date, Eaton HK has saved 1.3 million plastic bottles and straws from the landfill. Further eco-conscious measures have been taken by the property in the last year, including the removal of threatened fish species such as shark’s fin and bluefin tuna from Eaton HK’s menus. The property’s eco-conscious F&B initiatives continue in the form of the introduction of compostable takeaway boxes and placement of complimentary water dispensers in public areas. Recycling bins placed in hotel rooms have resulted in 70% of trash disposed of by guests being recycled, while paperless check-in and check-out saves 250,000 pieces of A4 paper each year. Rooms have also been upgraded to include 100% all-natural latex mattresses as well as large-format, non-disposable bottles of certified organic toiletries by Grown Alchemist. Global Air Freight Demand Down 1.1% in November 2019; APAC Down 3.7%
IATA's November 2019 data for global air freight markets shows that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), decreased by 1.1% when compared to the same month in 2018. This marks the thirteenth consecutive month of year-on-year declines in freight volumes. Despite the decline in demand, November’s performance was the best in eight months, with the slowest year-on-year rate of contraction recorded since March 2019. In part, November’s outcome reflects the growing importance of large e-commerce events such as Singles Day in Asia and Black Friday in the West. While international e-commerce continues to grow, overall air cargo demand continues to face headwinds from the effects of the trade war between the US and China, the deterioration in world trade, and a broad-based slowing in global economic growth.
“Demand for air cargo in November was down 1.1% compared to the previous year. That’s better than the 3.5% decline posted in October. But it is a big disappointment considering that the fourth quarter is usually air cargo’s peak season. Looking forward, signs of a thawing in US-China trade tensions are good news. But trading conditions at present remain very challenging,” said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO. Freight capacity, measured in available freight tonne kilometers (AFTKs), rose by 2.9% year-on-year in November 2019. Capacity growth has now outstripped demand growth for 19 consecutive months. Airlines in Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East suffered sharp declines in year-on-year growth in total air freight volumes in November 2019, while North American carriers experienced a more moderate decline. Europe and Africa were the only regions to record growth in air freight demand compared to November 2018. Asia-Pacific airlines saw demand for air freight contract by 3.7% in November 2019, compared to the year-earlier period. This was the sharpest drop in freight demand of any region for the month. Capacity increased by 1.8%. The US-China trade war has significantly affected the region, with demand on the large Asia-North America market down 6.5% year-on-year in October (latest available data). However, the thawing of US-China trade relations and robust economic growth in key regional economies are positive developments. North American airlines saw demand decrease by 1.1% in November 2019, compared to the same period a year earlier. Capacity increased by 3.3%. Slower growth in the US economy and trade tensions with China have affected demand. However, positive progress in trade negotiations between both countries highlighted by the ‘phase one’ deal is a positive development. European airlines posted a 2.6% increase in freight demand in November 2019 compared to the same period a year earlier. Better than expected economic activity in the third quarter in some of the region’s large economies helped support demand. Capacity increased by 4.0% year-on-year. Middle Eastern airlines’ freight volumes decreased 3.0% in November 2019 compared to the year-ago period – a significant improvement over the 5.7% decrease in October. Capacity increased by 2.6%. Against a backdrop of operational and geopolitical challenges facing some of the region’s key airlines, seasonally-adjusted freight volumes in the region have continued a modest upwards trend, which is a positive development for the region’s carriers. However, escalating geopolitical tensions threaten the regions’ carriers in the period ahead. Latin American airlines experienced a decrease in freight demand in November 2019 of 3.4% compared to November 2018. Various social and economic headwinds in the region’s key economies have impacted the region’s air cargo performance. Capacity decreased by 2.3% year-on-year. African carriers posted the fastest growth of any region in November 2019, with an increase in demand of 19.8% compared to the same period a year earlier. Strong trade and investment links with Asia contributed to the positive performance. Capacity grew 13.7% year-on-year.

Six Senses Signs First Hotel in UK
Six Senses has signed its first hotel in London, England. The Six Senses London, scheduled to open in 2023, will be located in the iconic building that housed the former department store, Whiteleys. The hotel will open with 110 guest rooms and suites, starting from 355 square feet (33 square meters). There will also be 14 branded residences, with owners able to tap into all the privileges that come with a Six Senses home, including bespoke interior design, concierge service, dining, housekeeping and wellness programming.
Whiteleys takes its name from visionary entrepreneur, William Whiteley, who opened his first drapery shop in Westbourne Grove in 1863. A little over a decade later, the shop had grown to a department store described as an immense symposium of the arts and industries of the nation and of the world. Once a vibrant destination that formed the focus for the surrounding residential neighborhood, Whiteleys was then redeveloped in the 1980s into a shopping center with a cinema and bowling alley. It subsequently closed its doors in December 2018 as its popularity diminished. The redevelopment of Whiteleys is being headed by a Meyer Bergman-advised fund, with the preeminent residential real estate developer Finchatton as development manager. In collaboration with the British architectural firm, Foster + Partners, renowned for its eco credentials and responsible design approach, this historic landmark will become a sensitively restored mixed-use development. The original Grade II faade, central courtyard and dome will all be preserved, as will the majestic internal staircase (modeled on the La Scala opera house in Milan), which features as the centerpiece on the ground floor of the hotel. Inspired by the buildings origins, the interiors of Six Senses London are being designed by internationally celebrated AvroKO in conjunction with executive architects EPR, and combine nostalgic nods to classical detailing and art deco along with modern streamlining. Contemporary art from British artists will be showcased throughout the hotel. Six Senses London will feature a cozy lobby bar and lounge, an all-day dining restaurant with an open kitchen and seating area in the courtyard, a Six Senses Spa, a comprehensive fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, bar, and a relaxation room with vaulted ceilings. On the second floor, residents and members will access a new kind of social and wellness club. Away from the density and intensity of the city, this space will feature a central bar and lounge, coworking spaces, a restaurant and wellness rooms, and offer pioneering programming to encourage growth, reflection and reconnection. Chief Executive Officer, Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, Neil Jacobs, said, I feel nostalgic when talking about Whiteleys. I grew up in the neighborhood and my parents used to bring me here. It is a wonderful opportunity to pay homage to this heritage and bring our brand values to life in this part of town, while celebrating our first port of call for Six Senses in the UK. Airbnb Adds Saraburi to Beyond Big Cities Campaign
Saraburi is Airbnb's latest destination in the Beyond Big Cities global campaign which encourages visitors to travel beyond major tourist centres and have a positive economic impact in the local communities they stay in. Following the launch of Buriram as the first Thai destination to be featured in the Beyond Big Cities campaign earlier this year, Airbnb showcases Saraburi with the launch of a community-led destination marketing video that highlights its rural beauty, local culture and diverse neighbourhoods. In addition to the video, Airbnb has also created a dedicated Saraburi page on its website which features information for travellers in Thai and English, including local insights as well as links to Airbnb Stays and Experiences in Saraburi and surrounding areas.
“Airbnb remains committed to investing in efforts to spread the benefits of tourism beyond big cities, in line with the Royal Thai Government’s policies,” said Mich Goh, Head of Public Policy for Southeast Asia, Airbnb. “We are thrilled to unveil Saraburi as an emerging destination for Airbnb travellers, as it is easily accessible from Bangkok and offers a wealth of local culture and hosts who are passionate to share their homes and way of life.” In 2018, more than 1.9 million guests stayed in an Airbnb in Thailand, with inbound guest arrivals to Saraburi growing at an estimated 115% year-on-year from 2018. Saraburi is about two hours by car from Thailand’s capital city and is on the main road which links Bangkok with the north east of the country. Suttipong Juljarern, Director-General of the Ministry of Interior’s Community Development Department said, “On behalf of the Ministry of Interior’s Community Development Department, we welcome Airbnb in supporting the local community by empowering passionate hosts in Saraburi to share their way of life with international and domestic travellers alike. Through this initiative, we will build a blueprint for other communities to follow, and will provide support so that locals are ready to welcome tourists. This is because we are keen to see the benefits of Thailand’s successful tourism industry reach our local communities, which will help showcase the best our country has to offer and contribute to strong and sustainable local economies.” Samniang Simmawan, Director of the Social, Economic and Quality of Life Development Subdivision of the Ministry of Interior’s Department of Local Administration added, “Through this collaboration with Airbnb, we are helping Thai homestays – homes that have a maximum of four rooms or can welcome visitors not exceeding 20 – better understand the need of international travellers, as we encourage them to provide travellers with a truly authentic Thai experience. We want to see more Thais start their own homestay businesses and benefit from tourism, and with the support of Airbnb these Thai homestays can now reach millions globally.” See latest Travel News, Interviews, Podcasts and other news regarding: Saraburi, Sisaket, Roi-Et, Ubon, Khon Kaen.
