My OC Kitt, in Trigun, is considered a Lucky Charm by sandsteamer crews. And as much as he dislikes it, he does joke about being lucky.

At some point Kitt makes Vash a lucky charm pouch (which he learned about from someone), stuffs it with everything small that's considered lucky on the planet - a shiny penny, an iridescent worm wing, odd-colored thoma feather, his own strand of hair because well he is kind of lucky, stuff like that. Forbids Vash from checking the inside, since it won't work then.

During the final battle with Legato, the pouch rips open and from the inside falls out a bus ticket with a blank destination.
