i appreciate how seth just showed up in chapter 1 unannounced asserted himself as legitimately one of the most cool and interesting characters in the whole game especially concerning the entirety of his interactions with Yakou/the agency (as well as some really strong implifications of him being religious in the context of the metal fox church) all in just a few scenes in a single chapter and then he just got taken out back to get shot by the director couple at the end of it and we literally never even hear anything about him again. and even then they even fucking. put in the extra detail that he was actually very likely to have survived as his picture isn't crossed off and he never appears in the restricted area. and he is the only peacekeeper aside from yomi & martina to ever get this kind of focus and. what the actual fuck is going on with seth rain code

“well, what do you think? isn't it convincing?” it should be. after all, they've their fair share of tricks that rely on the fact that one twin can just as easily pass as the other, though lyney has a harder time of it for a few, glaringly feline reasons. when a hand raises to flick the fake ears atop his head, they do not twitch as lynette's might have, and the tail simply drags lifelessly behind him. “convincing enough,” he amends. it's not as though such details will be the subject of notice when he falls.

lyney is used to falling. he practiced it hundreds of times to perfect cesar's trick. and so the magician and brother merely smiles at his assistant and sister and says, “i know how to fall—it'll be just like a magic trick. i practiced, remember?”

cats always land on their feet. stupid big brother. defensive big brother. doesn't-even-let-lynette-be-lynette now big brother. and his dear younger sister makes no effort to disguise her ire, carved jagged into every mirrored feature that stupid lyney beams at with his stupid star-marked cheek instead of the teardrop she knows.

her half-lidded stare and silence holds for a number of seconds that any normal person would call uncomfortable. lynette lets it marinate on purpose. stares at lyney for some moments longer, unblinking. unsettling. she really wants him to feel awkward, really wants him to stew in it. but at long last she finally speaks.

"and? i practiced, too."  arms cross in front of her chest. unlike that sad, inanimate tail attached to her twin, the one behind lynette swishes precariously.  "i can do my own stunts, you know. ugh. the way you even went to butt in without asking me..."

of course the coordinators would say yes to him. everybody else in the world says yes to lyney. lynette does not mind being his check, his control, his reason where he is her rhyme, but being the killjoy tires her.

"just because you can fall doesn't mean you always should."

(she was always meant to be his partner in crime.)

"whatever. can you at least go get me a coffee before you shoot, big brother?"  then there's a petulant turn of her head in the opposite direction, hmph-ing into the sky. it's the least he can do for her.

some minutes later, lynette's stinky stunt actor is approaching the producer, 'tail' limping lifelessly and 'ears' stiff as felt. ahem.

violet eyes, fully open and glimmering with life, crinkle in preface to the chirp that follows.

"well, everyone, are we ready to begin?"  a wink, a dazzling grin.  "my dear sister is ordering me a coffee as we speak, and i wouldn't want it to get cold!"

cat-eared head turns in the direction of distant café lutece. as the scurrying film crew prepares its props behind 'lyney', eyelids shutter halfway while that grin crumbles to ash in the mouth.

Bit late now but I think separating classic who and new who would have been a good idea and a bit fairer.

well yeah, but also that would have been kinda less interesting, i've loved watching certain classic companions narrowly gain victories from what i thought would have been obvious nuwho sweeps (thinking especially about the ian/clara match) and also seeing which classic characters have ended up being winning and iconic (hi ian). tbh if there was one thing i'd change going back to the start, it would be not putting four characters from any category through, because that's what made it possible for there to (technically only potentially but probably certainly) be an rtd-only semifinal and final, although that's also in part a problem of assuming equality across nuwho eras and classic who eras as two broad categories, and then splitting every group across the four corners of the bracket rather than, say, putting two rtd characters into two of the semifinal feeders. idk, there's lots of ways it could have been done differently, but the "unfair" results are also part of the interesting bits for me

hiiii<3 if u don't know what time your crush was born, you can't know what any of his houses are/where the planets are. finding out his birth time would also be important because that could change his moon sign tho! the moon can move within 6° in a day. without his birth time, we see that his pisces moon is at 25°. if we give or take 6°, that would show us that he is between 19° pisces moon to 1° aries moon. if he doesn't seem like a pisces moon to you, that could be because he might be an aries moon! which i hope is the case for u because i dated a guy who was a libra sun pisces moon and it was dreamy until it became a nightmare lol. i really wouldn't take this too seriously tho bc anything is possible. Well he is her kindergarten friend so she had that "THAT GUY? YOU PERCEIVE HIM IN A ROMANTIC AND SEXUAL LIGHT???" reaction lmao, didn't say that he was awful or anything. But I deep inside know that we are incompatible because, uh. I'm gonna say this in the least cringe way possible but, it is not easy for me to find someone who actually understands my thoughts, needs and interests in the first place; I think I never found someone with a heart like mine and I probably never will. And the world he is living in is so opposite to mine, so LOTS of love and acceptance will be needed if we ever get together. I am not sure to which point we can provide that to each other. Well maybe that is why I got attached like crazy, because I am always drawn to what breaks my heart 😔

BUT!!! It is too early. Maybe I'll get bored and my infatuation will end before he even comes back from his vacation. Maybe he simply won't want me, maybe he will and we will be wonderful together. Who knows!!! But it is always so fun to gush on people's dash whenever I get a crush ❤
