Gojo peeks his head through the door of your shared art studio, his outfit is covered in paint, hair messy and ruffled and even a few drops of baby blue staining his snowy hair, making him quite the eyesore.
"Ah, you're in here?'' He says with a wide grin not really caring about the mess he had made in the studio earlier. The walls were splashed with paint, paint on the floor, a few canvases on the ground and empty paint tubes scattered everywhere.
You snap your head back to him, your hands on your hips as you glare daggers. ''What?'' You mutter looking around at the mess. ''Satoru why can't you ever clean up after yourself? I have an assignemtnt due tomorrow and you finished half the paint!''
A little pout forms on his pink lips, his arms crossed as he leans against the door frame. ''C'mon don't be like that! I was jus' havin' some fun! And plusss we're artists! we're supposed to be messy!'' He replies, trying to hide the sneaky grin forming on his face, he absoulutely loved getting on your nerves.
Rolling your eyes, you ignore his words and kick a few empty tubs of paint to the side, picking up your easle stand and quickly setting everything up with your canvas.
He comes closer to you from behind, placing his hands on your shoulders, peaking at the empty canvas across from you, then down at your face.
"What are you working on?" He asked, sounding quite curious. A small blush appears on his cheeks as he talks, maybe it's from the realisation that he has probably finished half the paint you will need, or maybe it's from how close up he was to you looking at your pouty and pent up expression.
In his eyes you were the artwork.
''That's none of your business.'' You reply shrugging his hands off your shoulders as you open a paint tube, squeezing the left over of the red paint on the tray.
"Ah, that's a shame. I was eager to know'' He takes his hands off your shoulders, and then sits down on the floor, crossing his legs, keeping his calm expression and looking up at you as you get ready to paint.
You look at him with the same 'here we go again' expression you always give him when he decides to make himself cozy around you anytime you were about to do anything that isn’t giving him attention. Although, he never spoke and simply watched you paint (most of the time), the way he is more focused then you can sometimes.. be quite uneasy. Especially with his cerulean eyes.
Throughout the process of making your painting, you lean over to the side table to get some white paint, but to your surprise, you find the first tube empty, and when you look at every other tube of white paint on the table…empty.
Gojo notices you stop painting and how your gaze was fixed on the several empty paint bottles and tubes.
"Oh, was that your's?" He asks, turning his head to you, the same mischievous smile from before creeping up on his lips. He seems proud of himself for finishing all that paint, and he can't hide that fact.
"I finished all that." He says, with a confident smile on his face, running his hand through his hair and getting up from the floor, as if he accomplished something other then making you mad.
''Of course you did!'' You scoff stannding up from your seat to look at the clock to check if there was still time to go out and get paint, but when you see the time reading 10:36pm, you know the shop will close by the time you get there.
You purse your lips out of frustration, pinching the bridge of your nose. ''Satoru get out of my sight, I don't even want to look at you.'' You snarl closing you eyes and turning away from him.
Whereas, Gojo didn't even seem upset or put off by your reaction, instead he found this amusing, and as always, he’ll make the situation worse.
''You're quite the sassy woman eh?'' He says chuckling to himself and approaching you, holding your shoulders to turn you around to face and him and then your wrists to remove your hand from your face.
''Satoru— unless you want me to rip your head off and make white paint out of your hair. Leave.''
He doesn't say anything, instead wiggles his brows at your remark, his hands still holding onto your wrists.
''Satoru—''
''I have an idea.'' He says slowly lacing his fingers with yours, his thumb brushing the sides of your hands.
''What..?'' You arch a brow wanting to hear another one of his 'ideas’.
“Do you want to….ya know…” his lips curve into a cheeky smile as he looks down at you. “Make our own white paint..?” He tilts his head, expecting you to say no, maybe even smack him at this stupid idea, that's if you understand what he's saying.
Your eyes go wide at his question, your brain jumping to all the solutions he could come up with, praying the one you're thinking isn't the one he's thinking of.
But of course, this is Gojo we’re talking about here.
“What- what do you mean…? What exactly are you implying Satoru..?”
Gojo grins, as if he was expecting that reaction. He leans in closer to you, close enough until his warm lips were brushing against your ear, his tone goes into some sort of a quiet whisper,
“You know what I'm implying…” You could almost feel him smirking against your ear. “You know what we would have to do to get that white paint, love”
Your breath hitches as you realise how close you two were, how his strong rich cologne filled up your nose, hitting straight to your core instead of your head, almost making your knees go weak.
“What do you say sweet thing?” He mumbles against your neck, nuzzling his face into it before leaving butterfly pecks everywhere, his arms caging you against him as they wrap around your waist, making sure your body was pressed against his so you don’t run away.
Your brain is screaming at you to say no, to get your assignemt finished, to push him away and ignore him and tell him to go out and buy new paint for you, but that's not what the lady in between your legs wants.
“Just say the word…please” He sounds as if he's almost begging you, as if he wants this more then you.
And, you do, you nod and part your lips to speak, but the nod was all he needed, and before you could even say anything, his lips were crumbling against yours, hands grabbing the back of your head and nape to press your lips against his, trying to mold them into eachother. Tongue lolling out and sliding into your mouth and swirling with your own. He's too lost in the soft and smooth sensation of your lips to even notice that you've already wrapped your arms around his neck.
He holds you tightly against him as he tries to kiss you deeper then he already was, his tongue gliding against your lips before he nips at your bottom one. and pulls away with a string of saliva attached to both your lips, his face flushed and chest heaving slightly, his messy bangs falling infront of his lust filled eyes.
You stare right back at his face, your own lips puffy and swollen from the kiss, your arms still around his neck as your hands play with the hair around his nape.
He leans in starts to kiss your neck slowly, starting on your jaw and working his way down to your collarbone. His tongue licks and sucks at your skin, sure to leave marks, his kisses are wet and sloppy having you feel butterflies in your chest and stomach.
He moves his hand up your body, grabbing your clothed chest, you can feel his warm, soft fingers through your clothing, and he seems reluctant to let go of you just yet.
Pulling away from you neck, he looks up at you almost in a daze, his lips swollen and pouty, the colour on his cheeks darkening. ''Wanna carry on in the bedroom..?''
Here you were, sprawled out so perfectly on Gojo's bed, clothes long gone and scattered somewhere on the ground, your back arching slightly as the cool air hit your nipples. Gojo trails soft kisses down your body, kissing each and every single detail and curve you had until his cool breath was fanning against your exposed core. His teeth nip at the inner flesh of your thighs having your body jerk slightly way from him, but he was quick to hold onto your thighs and pull you back down.
''Let's get you to paint my face hm?'' He says as a smirk tugs at his lips, looking up at you through his white lashes and lust blowen pupils, he had barely even done anything yet and you were already so desperate, bucking your hips up for any sort of attention to your dripping core, your hands going down to press against his shoulders, trying to get him to move already.
But Gojo was a tease, he leaves kitten licks up and down your folds, stopping his tongue right where you throbbing clit was, begging to be sucked on.
''Satoru- please ohhh-''
Before you could even finish your sentence, Gojo was already devouvering you, consuming all your words as his tongue licks and laps at your slit over and over again, feeling and tasting your sweet arousal causing him to sigh contentedly. He was eating you out as if he was a starved man who hadn't had water to drink for days. And the sweet and unholy moans you let out already had him rock hard.
''You're already a whining mess huh?'' He mumbled against your core, sending vibrations straight through you. He was right. You already were a whining mess, your hands tugging at his hair trying to push him deeper into your cunt, his nose nudging against your clit which had you let out the most lewd sounds he has always dreamed of hearing.
''Soooo good!''' you squirm out, feeling your knees go weak from how good he was eating you out. Your head was pressed back into his fluffy pillows, his scent filling up your head making you even more aroused. You part your lips to say something, but only moans and whines of his names slur out of your mouth.
You buck your hips into his drooling mouth making sure he doesn't stop, he groans from how sweet you tasted on his tongue, his hands kneading the soft flesh of your ass hovering below him.
''I'm close- I'm so soo close Satoru!'' You feel a warm sensation bubble up in your lower abdomen as he thrusts his tongue into your soaking cunt having you mewl out in pleasure, your back arching and eyes rolling to the back of your head as your legs start to tremble and jitter.
''T-Toruuu Sa-toruuu!'' You scream out his name in a high-pitched whine feeling the sensation intensify. Your hands clawing at the sheets as your orgasm washes over you, body shaking and jerking, your legs instantly squeezing shut and your thighs nearly suffocationg him as he does not stop sliding his tongue in and out of you.
''T-Too much S'toruu'' you pant trying to regain your breath and shove him away.
Gojo grunts in satisfaction as he licks your sweet cunt clean, tasting every piece of you, feeling your arousal on his tongue making his dick ache as he humps thecovers underneath him.
''Shit...'' You breath out as you look down at him, and to your surprise, he was already looking back at you, his eyes half lidded, cheeks and chin covered in your sticky mess, lips red and puffy as a grin spread onto them.
He licks his lips as he sits up, hand going down to palm his already pre-cum covered dick, never breaking eye contact with you. ''Mhm...think we'll need more paint then that..'' He says flashing you a cheeky grin along with a wink.
You feel your cheeks heat up and look away from him, your hands going up to cover you face in embarrassment.
''Uh uh!'' He says quickly holding your wrists and removing them from your face, pinning them above your head instead. ''Gotta see that pretty face while I fuck you dumb, mhm?''
You whine and part your lips to say something, but the air is knocked out of your lungs once you feel his leaky tip slowly start to slide inside your tight cunt. He groans as his other hand grabs onto your waist to steady himself from collapsing ontop of you from how good you squeezed him. A sharp gasp leaving his mouth feeling your warmth.
''So big!'' You cry you as tears swell up in your eyes, he wasn't even fully in yet and was already stretching your walls out, the perfect veins on his dick grinding against your walls and your sweet spot.
''Fuck- squeezin' me s'good babyyy think I might just cum undone like this.'' With a moan, he tilts his head back and closes his eyes, feeling how deep he was and his tip grazing the spot you couldn't even reach.
Slowly, he starts to thrust into you, his dick stretching you out so good it had you seeing stars and already a babbling mess.
''Toru- so deepppp'' You squirm out as he picks up his pace, his hips starting to hammer into yours as your slick paints his pelvis. You wrists twist and turn in his hold signalling him to let go so you can hold onto something as he fucks your brains out.
Gojo releases his grip on your wrists and places both hands around your waist, strocking your walls with his dick as he presses his hips against yours trying to reach deeper then he already was. The most sloppy and repulsive noises ever heard were all that could be heard by your lower bodies colliding and slamming together.
''Tummy-'' You babble out as your nails dig into his biceps. ''C-Can feel you in my tummyyy''
He looks down at your fucked out expression, your eyes nearly crossing, tongue lolling out as drool dribbles down from your chin. Gojo groans and leans in pressing his lips to yours, you could taste your previous arousal on his tongue and lips. He kisses you messily while hammering into you at the same time, his teeth clashing against yours, spit oozing out from both the corners of your mouths.
His hand goes to wrap around your neck, squeezing it making you clamp down on him while the other goes down to rest on your lower abdomen, applying pressure with his palm until he felt himself.
You pull away from his lips at the new feeling, eyes going wide and nails dragging against his back, your chest arching and pressing flushed against his, instantly feeling light headed as you let out a loud moan.
''C'mon pretty girl, give it to me, I know- fuck- I know you're close mhm...'' He whispers into your ear, urging you to come undone all over his dick. ''You feel that?'' He takes your hand dragging it down and pressing it to where his bulge was prominent in your belly. ''You feel how deep I am huhhh..?''
You could barely form any words, your tits bouncing as he slams into you repeatedly, his hand never leaving your throat, cutting off your air supply which only added to the pleasure for you, your drool smearing down to his hand as he fucked you dumbfounded.
Gojo could feel his own arousal build up, his thrusts starting to become sloppy as he shoves himself into you at an ungodly pace. His mouth agape as he mumbles all sorts of praises to you, telling you how good you squeeze him, how good you're taking him in. He lowers his hand that was around your neck and rubs his thumb in deep circles over your senstive clit to help you reach your orgasm, the hand that was pressing on your lower abdomen remained there.
And it's not long after you're reaching your earth shattering orgasm, your legs shaking violently as you scream out Gojo's name, squirting all over his dick and pelvis, your toes curling and head burying back into the pillows until your vision went all white, your ears ringing and needy sobs escaping your mouth as your arms wrap around his neck holding him close to you.
Gojo is quick to reach his own after seeing the state you're in, his fingers digging into your hips as he thrusts a few times into you before burying his face in your tits, nipping at your skin as he realeases inside you, painting your walls white until both your juices leak out of your cunt.
He pants as he sits up, slowly pulling out of you, his eyes never leaving your cunt that oozed out with cum, he lets out a shaky breath slapping his tip against your folds before smearing his cum along your thighs.
''You think we got enough paint heh..?''

The hermit is a symbol for self-discovery, solitude and introspection. He wields a staff and the star of Solomon, a six-pointed star and a symbol of wisdom, on top of a mountain, isolated from the rest of the world. But the light of the star doesn't reach far and illuminates only the next few steps, and not the entire journey ahead.
Um, of course I'm gonna put a lynx on my favorite card.
The Hermit is usually depicted on top of a snowy mountain. I had a sketch with a lynx on a mountain for this card, but the format I use (a bit smaller than A5) seemed too small and cramped, so I decided to go for a close-up instead.
I also ditched the lamp with the six-pointed star, and just put it on his forehead instead. Wisdom from within, peak introvercy, etc etc.
Bonus fun fact, I started this artwork in December. Oh well.

Frost Atronach - CR8 Elemental
A type of elemental based on Elder Scrolls.
Tumblr media
Artwork is concept art from Skyrim, by Adam Adamowicz, copyright Bethesda.
I like designing elementals with more variety, especially ones that do more than just melee attacks. I don't think the types of elementals on every elemental plane need to be symmetrical, but I did make a few different elements of atronachs, based on the common ones that appear in the Elder Scrolls series - the flame atronach and the storm atronach are the other two.
Atronachs are elementals that are more likely than others to willingly lend their services to creatures from other planes. This includes not only mortal summoners, but also other outsiders who might recruit them to their cause, which the atronachs align themselves with according to opportunity, fancy and circumstance. Although they originate from the elemental planes, they have the ability to travel the planes freely, and many seem driven to seek out a purpose in their existence.
Frost Atronach - CR 8
This 8 foot tall, roughly humanoid-shaped creature of solid crystallized ice walks on two hulking legs, and has long arms that resemble uprooted glaciers. It lacks any kind of obvious head, its torso instead simply coming to a frozen peak.
XP 4,800 N Large outsider (air, cold, elemental, extraplanar, water) Init +0 Senses darkvision 60 ft., snow vision; Perception +16 Aura chilling aura (10 ft., DC 19)

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Chilling Aura (Su) A frost atronach is surrounded by a 10 ft. aura of cold. At the start of the frost atronach's turn, this aura deals 2d8 cold damage to creatures within the area and slows them for 1 round, as the slow spell. A DC 19 Fortitude save halves the damage and negates the slowing effect. This is a cold effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Icewalking (Ex) This ability works like the spider climb spell, but the surfaces the elemental climbs must be icy. The elemental can move across icy surfaces without penalty and does not need to make Acrobatics checks to run or charge on ice.
Snow Vision (Ex) A frost atronach can see perfectly well in snowy conditions and does not take any penalties on Perception checks while in snow.

This is my 3rd old and fav art in my list
And this is a pencil sketch depicting a dramatic night scene contained within a circular frame. The focus of the composition is a striking depiction of a large, detailed moon positioned prominently in the upper right quadrant. The moon's surface is rendered with soft shading and irregular shapes, mimicking the craters and textures visible in real lunar landscapes. It stands out against a starry night sky, which is heavily shaded to contrast the glowing celestial body.
The lower portion of the image features towering mountain peaks with sharp, angular lines. The mountains are outlined with precise strokes, and their snowy summits are left unshaded to contrast against the darker background. A textured foreground beneath the mountains adds dimension, resembling rolling plains or distant trees, hinting at a serene landscape below. The balance of light and dark areas in this section creates depth, drawing the viewer's attention through the layers of the scene.
The sketch combines celestial and terrestrial elements harmoniously, creating a sense of awe and tranquility. The careful detailing of the moon and the stars enhances the ethereal quality of the scene, while the rugged mountains provide a grounded, earthly contrast. The circular boundary of the artwork emphasizes the unity of the composition, framing the natural elements in a cohesive and balanced way.

Blog Post #4
Although I am not an artist or capable of making any artwork that can illustrate how I interpret what I experience, I myself as a nature interpreter can appreciate how art and nature come hand in hand with allowing individuals to express their envisionings of nature onto a blank canvas. I believe this is important because each individual interprets their natural surroundings differently, nature and art allow us to see the world from different perspectives, and it encourages others to visit natural landmarks depicted in art pieces for themselves.
Firstly, I would say that it is clear that every individual in this world interprets nature and the experiences around them differently from one another. Interpretation of surroundings can vary drastically because each person may prefer different forms of learning and interpretation, such as verbal, active, or sequential learners, which each may have their ideal sources such as colourful pictures, hand-held models, or audiobooks. Because of these differences in how nature is interpreted by humans if a group of people were asked to create a painting regarding the same natural landscape, each curated painting would be different from one another. My experience with art and nature interpretation stems from middle school where I’ve had assignments for art class challenging me to paint natural landscapes that we have visited in the past. As a result, my first painting related to my interpretation of nature was of Tobermory, since it was the most scenic view I had visited when I went the first time and it wasn’t too far from my hometown. By making this painting, I had to recollect my first impressions and experience from seeing the landscape and picture how I wanted to present it on the canvas.
Secondly, nature interpretation through art ensures that different perspectives of a landscape can be seen by the viewer at first glance. This is important because since all interpreters view nature differently, art allows us to see what the interpreter focuses on most when viewing nature. For example, if making an art piece of a mountainous background, one artist may focus their detail on the snowy peaks while another artist may pay more attention to the birds flying in the distance. Some details may be missed and that is okay since the whole purpose of art is to allow our imaginations and perspectives to guide us into what we should depict next. With these different perspectives, artists are also able to highlight aspects of the natural landscape that stand out to them in terms of beauty.
Tumblr media
An artwork from The Group of Seven that I vividly remember seeing at the museum.
Finally, nature interpretation through art encourages the viewer to visit natural landmarks expressed in art pieces as it gives a unique perspective on the landmark and allows the artist to add some additional beauty to the location. By taking a first glance at an artwork and being able to experience the beauty of a landmark through the eyes of someone else, the viewer may feel curious and more inclined to visit those places for themselves and gauge what they feel about the natural beauty of that location. A big example of this growing up was when I got the chance to visit art museums that showed artworks from artists like The Group of 7 and how they expressed the natural beauty of Canada’s landmarks through their own unique ways. Although I never knew where these places were located, at first glance I knew I wanted to see these places for myself.

The Best Times to Visit Yosemite National Park for Photography and Wall Art Inspiration
Yosemite National Park is one of the most breathtaking locations for travelers and photographers alike. With its towering granite cliffs, stunning waterfalls, and serene meadows, it offers endless opportunities for capturing awe-inspiring images. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or simply looking to create beautiful wall art or travel posters, timing your visit to Yosemite can make all the difference in the quality of your shots.
Best Seasons to Visit Yosemite for Stunning Photos
Spring: Waterfalls at Their Peak
Spring (March to May) is one of the best times to visit Yosemite, especially for waterfall photography. The melting snow makes waterfalls like Yosemite Falls and Bridalveil Fall flow at full force, creating dramatic, misty scenes perfect for capturing. Wildflowers also bloom during this season, adding vibrant colors to the landscape. Early morning light is best for photographing waterfalls, as it casts a soft glow and reduces harsh shadows.
Summer: Clear Skies and Golden Hours
Summer (June to August) brings warm weather and clear skies, ideal for shooting the park’s famous landmarks like Half Dome and El Capitan. The long daylight hours allow for plenty of time to explore and capture different perspectives. To avoid crowds and get the best lighting, shoot during the golden hours—just after sunrise and before sunset. Sunrise at Glacier Point is especially magical, providing panoramic views of the valley.
Fall: Vibrant Foliage and Crisp Air
In fall (September to November), Yosemite’s foliage turns golden and red, creating striking contrasts against the granite cliffs. This season also offers fewer crowds, making it easier to find peaceful spots for photography. The Merced River is a great place to capture reflections of the vibrant trees. Early mornings in October are perfect for capturing the park’s calm, crisp atmosphere.
Winter: A Snowy Wonderland
Winter (December to February) transforms Yosemite into a snowy wonderland, with serene, frosted landscapes. Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias are excellent spots for winter photography. The snow-capped cliffs and trees make for dramatic, moody shots. Be sure to visit after a fresh snowfall for the best compositions.
Ideas for Wall Art and Travel Posters from Your Yosemite Photos
Yosemite’s landscapes offer incredible inspiration for creating wall art and travel posters. You can turn your best shots into:
Panoramic posters of iconic spots like Tunnel View or Glacier Point.
Minimalist prints of Yosemite’s towering granite cliffs and serene rivers.
Seasonal artwork, such as the bright colors of fall or the quiet beauty of a snow-covered winter landscape.
Capturing the beauty of Yosemite is an unforgettable experience. With the right timing and a little creativity, you can turn your photos into stunning wall art or posters that bring the essence of this incredible park into your home.

You may know Inland Empire as a location in California or as Harry’s funny little brain goblin who loves cryptids and his ex!
But did you know: it’s also a movie? Directed by David Lynch. The skill itself also resembles Lynch's own artwork, with it's bloated head and uncanny proportions. Something to keep in mind wrt to the film as well.
Tumblr media
It’s actually hard to quantify just how much of an impact Lynch has had on DE or in fact on any piece of the surrealist magical realism crime drama genre made after 1990 other than: a lot. A lot of influence. Television, and the horror genre in general would not be what it is today without Twin Peaks.
(But Twin Peaks is for another day, it’s Inland Empire's turn.)
Inland Empire follows the story of Hollywood actress Nikki Grace, her return to stardom, and her experiences as her reality rapidly deteriorates around her. The movie she was banking her big success on is possibly cursed.
If you’re familiar with Lynch's work it’s kind of the ultimate incarnation of his typical topics. Hollywood is shady. A woman is in trouble. Reality isn’t what it seems. And our main character's grasp of her identity is slipping away.
The movie's scenes of Hollywood are intercut with foreboding and dreamy snowy shots of an old Warsaw street. The violence of the past does not rest and trauma is cyclical. The layers of narrative and perspective peel back continuously.
Laura Dern is also just really in peak form here. She was was robbed at the Oscar’s.

The easiest thing I can compare it to is House of Leaves and Mulholland Drive having a baby. If you don’t like weird cerebral art house films you are not going to enjoy this film. And that’s okay! This is not a film for everyone. It’s weird. It’s slow.

Mount Equinox, Winter, Rockwell Kent, 1921, Art Institute of Chicago: American Art
An artist with an adventurous spirit, Rockwell Kent traveled widely, gravitating to such harsh and snowy locales as Alaska, Greenland, Newfoundland, and New England for his painted landscapes. Kent set up a small shack to use as a studio in remote Vermont, which he described as a “handy refuge for a frozen realist.” It was there that he captured this view of Mount Equinox in winter, one of a group of paintings that he executed of the peak at different seasons. Although grounded in realism, Kent’s landscapes are not straightforward transcriptions of the natural world; rather, they are harmonious compositions featuring simplified forms, vivid colors, sharp contrasts, and astute design. Gift of Gertrude V. Whitney Size: 86.6 × 111.9 cm (34 1/8 × 44 1/4 in.) Medium: Oil on canvas

An Unexpected Painting Session
Summary: After always seeing the Chief Alchemist paint and sketch and paint some more, Kaeya decides to give it a try. Turns out it takes a lot more skill than meets the eye to reproduce something as beautiful as one of Albedo’s paintings.
A/N; FINALLY something that isn’t Thanzag! Here’s my first Genshin Impact work! I’ve been super into Genshin lately, but haven’t written anything until now. Enjoy!
As the cool air of Dragonspine grazes Albedo’s fingers, he drew yet another stroke across his canvas, almost finishing his piece. He took a step back, admiring his work in progress from afar. He loved painting the various landscapes Dragonspine had to offer. Every area he would pick on this mountain to create a new piece offered him a new look on his surroundings. He never got bored of it, unlike other topics of research he has lost interest in long ago.
He loved coming up to Dragonspine. He didn’t mind the cold as much as any adventurer would. He found it quite soothing, in fact. The mysteries the mountain held also drew him in, helping him find many new things to investigate. His lust for learning would never be satisfied, the complexity of these cold summits were proof of that.
Yet, there was another cold and mystifying subject that had enticed him just as much as Dragonspine.
Albedo paced back to his canvas, satisfied with what he’s produced so far. As he continued filling in the snowy peaks in the landscape ahead of him, he thought of said subject. A subject as enticing as the peculiar wonders of Dragonspine seems impossible to think of, yet it stuck to Albedo's mind. The mystery behind a certain Cryo user who loves to go around teasing and flirting with everyone he encounters on his way.
A subject just as peculiar as Dragonspine could be none other than the enigma behind Kaeya, the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonious.
Albedo dipped his paintbrush into another shade of blue as he pondered about Kaeya some more. A man who disappears to Celestia knows where, it was only a matter of time for Albedo to find interest in him. What secrets does he hold? What is he hiding in plain sight? Might he be planning something dangerous? Why does he wear an eyepatch all the time? Why does every word he speaks baffle, yet still draw Albedo in further and further? All these questions were still a mystery to him, and he was willing to do whatever it takes to find the answers to them.
The chill in the area felt a lot colder now that Albedo had concluded his thoughts. He continued to paint, thinking that the change was just a brief gust of wind. However, the newfound feeling of a more chilling air around him lingered. Surely his fire didn’t go out, he could still feel the presence of the heat from behind him. However, there was another presence there, but not one of a campfire, or an object. It was a person.
“My, my, will you not even greet me with a simple ‘Hello’ or a ‘Nice seeing you here’?”
It is almost as if the Archons had heard Albedo’s thoughts and had brought to him the exact person on his mind. He turned to face Kaeya, a smile on the man’s face.
“And what brings you here to Dragonspine, Sir Kaeya?” Albedo asked, placing his paintbrush down, “It is quite cold up here, might I add.”
“Come on now, Albedo. There’s no need to be so formal,” Kaeya advanced towards him, particularly eyeing his artwork, “I just wanted to admire the scenery, the cold is barely a problem.”
Right, Kaeya did possess a Cryo vision after all. There isn’t a doubt that the cold wouldn’t nearly come close to affecting him. Albedo watched as Kaeya tried to get a peek at the canvas, though he was standing right in front of it, obscuring his vision. The smile still lingered on the Cavalry Captain’s face as he tried to look over Albedo’s shoulder, going from side to side as the alchemist followed his every movement. Typical of Kaeya to have such a childish nature, while still acting like an adult. Another captivating thing to note, Albedo thought.
“Oh please, won’t you let me have a look?” Kaeya asked, now standing still in front of Albedo.
“You should have just asked instead of going around me like some sort of child,” Albedo responded, looking up at Kaeya with a calm, yet irritated stare, “If I were painting in front of Klee, she would have done the same thing.”
Kaeya feigned an expression of hurt, putting his hand up to his chest, “You wound me, Chief Alchemist. May I see this wonderful painting of yours that you’re trying oh so hard to hide from me?”
Albedo nodded and took a step aside to reveal the piece he had worked on for Barbatos knows how long now. Kaeya hummed in satisfaction as he admired the work of art. It was of the snowy mountains of Dragonspine, of course, but it had such exquisite and fine detail, you wouldn’t be able to tell it apart from the real thing. The shades of blue and gray used were identical to the landscape. Kaeya looked up at the area in front of him, and then back down at the painting, humming once more.
“Such intricate detail as always,” Kaeya stepped back, looking at Albedo with a smile, “Truly another impressive feat of yours, how do you do it?”
Albedo appreciated Kaeya’s compliments, yet felt a wave of embarrassment overcome him. While praises certainly did feed into his pride, he couldn’t help but feel sheepish when receiving them. Especially when it came from Kaeya, it seems.
“It takes a lot of practice,” Albedo explained, ignoring his embarrassment with a cool expression on his face, “It’s taken a lot of time for my work to turn out like this.”
“Of course, of course,” Kaeya says in a genuine tone. He approached Albedo again, inspecting his art tools, “I wonder if I could do something as wonderful as this as well.”
“Would you like to try painting?” Albedo asks out of curiosity. Surely, it was what he was implying, but he still decided to ask. It was hard to tell what Kaeya meant at times, another reason why he disliked talking to and having relations with people. Kaeya simply laughed.
“I mean, it wouldn’t hurt to try,” Kaeya said, rubbing the back of his head, “However, I can assure you it won’t be a masterpiece like yours, prepare your eyes.”
Albedo nodded, “Well, I suppose you already know the basics of painting, correct?”
“I’d say I do, it doesn’t seem too complex,” Kaeya said, swiftly picking up the paintbrush that Albedo had placed down, “Do you happen to have a spare canvas?”
“Of course I do, I wouldn’t go around with just one canvas to spare,” Albedo reached down into the bag placed at his feet and fished out a fresh new canvas. He grabbed a new paintbrush as well as a cloth, which wasn't as clean as one would expect. He took the brush Kaeya was twirling in his hands away from him, earning a confused and upset expression from the captain.
"Hey, I was going to use that," Kaeya frowned. Albedo traded the used paintbrush with the clean one he fetched from his bag.
"It's dirty," Albedo explained, swiftly and gracefully taking a step towards the fire. There was a cup of nearly frozen water placed right by it. If he hadn't left it there, it would've been as hard as the ice covering the ground all around him. He knelt down and picked up the cup, feeling how cold it was despite the fact that he was wearing gloves. He dipped the paintbrush in the water several times, before quickly wiping it dry with the help of his washcloth. Even if it may not have been the cleanest, it did its job quite well.
Albedo got back up, making his way towards Kaeya who had just been standing in front of the easel. He looked over his shoulder and smiled.
"Do you have something in mind that you'd like to paint? It's much better to have an idea of what you'd like to do rather than going in blind," Albedo asked, now standing next to Kaeya. He handed him the palette, which had all the colors needed for Kaeya to create whatever he wanted. Kaeya seemed to be lost in thought, going through the different options he had in mind.
"I suppose I have an idea," Kaeya says, looking down at the palette in his hands. Albedo expected him to explain what he was going to paint, but instead he said, "Could you stand in front of the canvas? I'd like for this piece to be a… surprise."
Albedo, shocked by the sudden request, stepped away from the canvas. He stood facing the captain, so that he could get a look at whatever he was planning on doing. He also just wanted to see Kaeya’s face shift as he tried painting for the first time.
Kaeya rested the hand that held the paintbrush against his chin, seemingly lost in thought. He scanned the blank canvas before him, then finally gasping and dipping his brush into a color Albedo couldn’t guess. He dragged the brush along, making what Albedo could only assume to be thick and broad lines.
The alchemist let his mind wander as Kaeya painted away, studying the Cavalry Captain intensely. He thought more about the man standing in front of him, trying to come to a conclusion for one of the many questions he had asked himself. Nothing particular came to mind as always.
Albedo seemed to think of Kaeya quite often, and not only just to wonder about his past. He found himself thinking of how charming he is to look at, with such admirable features. His skin was blemishless, being a smooth caramel color all around. He'd heard people around Mondstadt speculate that the skin under his eyepatch would be lighter, but he disregarded those comments.
Kaeya's hair was yet another distinct feature of his that Albedo found quite pleasant. Navy hair as silky and smooth as that seemed impossible to be kept that way, especially when considering he would always style it in a low ponytail. One would expect it to get in the way, but Kaeya didn't seem to mind it at all. This made him all the more intriguing to Albedo, getting the gears in his head turning faster and faster. These features happened to make his heart quicken too, which Albedo just couldn't seem to understand the reasoning behind.
Kaeya’s gaze met his, making Albedo turn away in a quick movement. Kaeya chuckled under his breath, his stare lingering on the alchemist’s figure. He seemed to be finishing up his piece, Kaeya taking a step back, and looking at it from different angles.
“It’s done, would you like to see it?” Kaeya asked, “It could be better, but that doesn’t matter now, does it?”
Albedo paced back towards the easel, surprised by what was presented to him.
It wasn’t a landscape like he thought it would be, nor was it a flower or a tree from the surrounding area. The colors were quite nice to look at, he had to admit. From different shades of yellow to blue, with a teal nearing the color of his eyes, he admired the piece before him. Of course, it wasn’t a spectacular painting, he expected that. What he didn’t expect was to be met with his own face on the canvas.
“It’s me,” Albedo remarked, “You decided to paint me?”
“Why yes,” Kaeya explained, putting down the brush and the palette before him, “You have quite the charming appearance, Chief Alchemist.”
Albedo could’ve sworn he felt the heat rise to his face, but he shook it off, “You’re not that bad of a painter yourself, Kaeya. The colors are quite nice. You could use a bit of work on refining your technique.”
“I expected that,” Kaeya said, putting his arms behind his head, “Say, why don’t you teach me how to paint just like you? Shouldn’t be too hard, coming to see each other between our duties.”
“I think that would be quite nice,” Albedo said, a faint smile on his face, “Why don’t we head back to Mondstadt now? It’s getting quite chilly up here. I suppose you don’t have any duties to attend to at the moment and neither do I, so it would be the perfect time to get properly started.”
“Yes, that would be lovely,” Kaeya replied, helping Albedo put his affairs away for their journey down the mountain.
