While Sammy liked rain well enough, he wasn’t fond of being stuck outside in it. It was tempting to call himself a ‘half skeleton, but in reality he had a full skeleton and only half a human to cover it. Only his right arm was properly covered up, but at least his torso and head were intact. While he had been born this way, it was simply easier to explain that he was cursed. His one bony arm did not feel the cold as sharply as the complete arm, his left side did feel colder overall. The water dripping down the exposed bone pulled the heat out of his core.

He would have brought his jacket if he had realized the weather would turn. The house wasn’t so far up ahead, and light was visible all the way across the field. He stopped and let out a frustrated grunt.

It really shouldn’t have been more then a five minuet walk. Somehow it took much longer. The ground was muddy, the kind of mud that traps a person unfortunate enough to try and walk over it. Combined with the fatigue of the walk and the strain of the cold and Sammy was moving painfully slow. The slower he went, the longer he was in the rain, the longer he was in the rain, the colder he got, the weaker he felt, the slower he moved. Sammy’s face had gone from ruddy to scarlet. Water soaked into his shoes made his legs feel too heavy to lift. He was now only twenty paces from the front door.

“Knowing shelter is so close... fills you with determination.” He forced himself forward. The tips of the fingers on his right hand were turning blue. Nearly yanking his ankle out of his shoe, he staggered forward and collapsed onto the front step.

Sammy turned around and examined his ankle. It had come loose, but did not crack. Now that he was under the roof, the rain suddenly seemed peaceful. It would be more peaceful when he got inside and into dry clothes, and that was exactly what he did.

So for my Chapter take stuff, I've been slowly working on my chapter 3 take to be able to roleplay it on my Discord server (found here) hopefully before the next chapters come out, and so far I've come up with all the enemies, minibosses and shopkeeps/vendors, leaving just the NPCs and puzzles and stuff to flesh it out more. Since I'm running out of ideas a bit, I'm opening those parts up to brainstorming here rather than exclusively on my server. So! For anyone who's interested in helping me with my chapter take a bit, here's what you need to know under the cut

First area is based on the upstairs hallway/the bathroom and is very desert themed, with a transition backstage area before the 2nd area (think like, the Great Board from Chapter 1 or the Trash Zone from Chapter 2). Enemies include BookWyrms (based on books on the bookshelf), AViper (AV cables), and Snowhair (TV snow). The first miniboss of the area is Draca Dragende, based on the How To Draw Dragons book, and basically TennaVision Studios Marilyn Monroe. Shopkeep for this area is a traveling snail merchant named Cargo, whom I'm pretty sure I based off one of Toriel's snail books. The second miniboss of the area, fought in the bathroom backstage area, is Appl', the apple shampoo bottle. I also think I have two existing ideas for NPCs, being one based off the mirror in the hall and the Twilight Zone, and another based off the body spray in the bathroom, named Cool-E.

Second area is based off the kitchen, and is the big city of Homestead (name of the Dark World). Imagine like Hollywood but Dark World. It likely has different segments based on the appliances in the kitchen (I imagine quite a bit of fire puzzles for the oven, and electric puzzles for the microwave). Enemies include Test Tallies (partially based on SMPTE color bars, the crayons, and Thwomps), Shadowmen (We've met these guys in some of the teaser stuff), and Gingerbrats (Gingerbread cookies), as well as AVipers and Snowhairs. First miniboss encountered is Bubbles (the large bottle of pet shampoo from the bathroom), of course brought in by his handler, Appl' for a "special segment" of Tenna's show. Vendors for this area are Buddies, lil flowers with definitely no connection to a certain spider actress who was had her show canceled and was fired from TV studios many years back. The second miniboss is the Buddy Bunch, who are definitely not an amalgamed monster of Buddies created by the aforementioned spider, but ARE blatantly based on the flowers in the trash can. If you gave Toriel the flowers, then there will be more Buddies in town, and the Buddy Bunch may or may not have something effected with its battle. Only NPC I've got for this place so far is A Man, who's showed up in all the 2nd areas of the Darkworlds so far.

The third and final area is based on the living room, and is TennaVision studios itself. The big studio the whole Darkworld revolves around and home base of Tenna, who's been being a nuisance the entire chapter and seemingly the face of this whole operation, and Mr. Rook, the one REALLY behind the show. Enemies for this area include AVconda (MORE AV cables), BraynWyrm (upgraded version of BookWyrm, based on crappy movie or TV adaptations of books), Shutterbug (Stage lights/TV pixels) and more Shadowmen. The first miniboss encounter is with the lovely Weather Duo, Lanino and Elnina, whom we've been introduced to already via the Sweepstakes teasers and the Valentine Newsletters. The shopkeeps for this area, there's actually two. One is Mike, Tenna's very tired sound technician who doesn't get paid enough for this and might've been seen earlier in the chapter during one of Tenna's various segments. The second shopkeep is V.C.Ram, or Vic, an old ram running the Chairiel Inn in the Studio, and who's based on a VCR. The second miniboss of the area is Cinnatot, aka Tottie, a spoiled child actor fresh out the oven and based on the unfinished pie (there would've been a minigame in the previous area where the party made/finished the pie and put it into bake), and Rouxls. Who is here, for some reason. He has a chef's hat and mustache, and is doing a very bad Italian accent on top of his usual terrible Old English accent. Someone please stop him. The final miniboss before the main boss, is Tenna. Who's not the main boss, as that role goes to Mr. Rook, who I imagine is fought in a giant kaiju face off between Susiezilla and Dracazaur. The only NPC I've thought of for this section is Cammi, the studio's cameraman.

As well, of course, the optional secret boss of a certain spider if you can open the way to her old studio set for her. ;)

While the entire chapter has a TV theme, I've already based a few of the characters off of just... items in the Dreemurr House, so I'm open to NPC ideas that are just based on things in the house, it's just even better if they have some sort of TV connection. Apart from that, I'd love to hear people's ideas! Be they merely concepts that I can work on or full designs I can implement. I'd also love to hear any ideas for puzzles, cutscene/minigame segments, and anything else to help me flesh this chapter take out more.

Mina:”Oh, my god, I knew the players for Krillin and 18 were a real couple,I goddamn knew it!!” *Vomi giggled at her cousin’s excitement over feeling vindicated with her shipping being confirmed. Seems Mina was still pretty much a romantic and a Cupid at heart. It made her curious to what her own relationship was with this Maya girl besides being roommates. As well as to how and why their place seemed bigger than just the two of them living here.* “You could just feel the chemistry between them, there was heat!”

The word is originally the name for Greek mountain nymphs, so PFRPG’s using it for earth elemental people rubbed a lot of people the wrong way when Bestiary 2 came out.This version borrows heavily from the Planescape version, which appeared in Planes of Chaos in AD&D 2e, and was converted to 3.0 in the Fiend Folio.]

Orestiad CR 5 CN Fey This lovely young woman appears something like a living statue, as her skin is the texture of stone. Despite her slender features, she exudes strength and durability.

Orestiads are the fey patrons of mountains. They may be mistaken for oreads, and indeed some oreads claim descent from orestiads instead of from shaitans or earth elementals. An orestiad is bound to her mountain the same way a dryad is bound to her tree. The eldest orestiads, called “snowhairs”, are capable of maintaining a bond with an entire mountain range, and they often shepherd young orestiads from the mountain of their birth to a new mountain that needs protection. Snowhair orestiads are the pillars of their communities, passing communications between the orestiads of different mountains and presiding over festivities and celebrations.

An orestiad protects their mountain from strip-mining, logging and other destructive exploitation. Some of the more stringent ones will draw the line at even rock collecting. They often use charms to attempt to defuse the situation, but orestiads are willing and capable of violence to defend their mountain homes. They do not carry melee weapons, as their fists are hard as stone and strike like clubs, but they are fond of slinging mundane and magic stones at a distance. Orestiads rarely stand still when fighting, using their ability to pass through earth and stone to make repeated hit and run attacks until their foes are slain or driven off.

Each orestiad has skin with a stony texture, usually matching in coloration and texture a rock type common on their mountain. If an orestiad moves, their skin changes to match their current surroundings. Their eyes sparkle like gemstones, and their hair is similar in color and texture to a lichen. Most, but not all, orestiads are female.

Orestiad Boons and Banes (CL 7th, 4th level, DC 17) Few orestiads are skilled at guile—they are more likely to use their banes against an enemy that they have beaten senseless. The slow nature of this curse and the thoroughness of the transformation appeals to their sense of retribution. Those that help to protect an orestiad’s mountain, however, are likely to be blessed with its boon—they do not hesitate to empower as many allies as possible if they know a fight is forthcoming. Boon: You gain the earth mastery quality of an orestiad. This boon lasts for 1 day. Bane: You begin to turn slowly into stone. Every day at sunrise, you must succeed a Fortitude save (same DC) or take 1d6 points of Dexterity drain. When your Dexterity reaches 0, you transform into a featureless boulder of your size. Before you reach 0 Dexterity, this can be removed with any effect that removes curses, but once transformed into a boulder, you can only be restored with a stone shape spell to restore your shape, followed by a stone to flesh to restore you to life. This bane lasts until removed.
