Hallowrove kept the Singing Mandrake from Bag a Legend and carries it everywhere with them in their pocket. His name is Sneeve. He's good protection, in theory, that Dangerous score is no joke - he might be a singer but he still reverts to shrieking and biting most of the time. Primarily though, his uses are 1. As a distraction (throw him and run in the opposite direction) 2. As the regrettable opposite of a distraction (pet him the wrong way and now every monster, constable, and anything else you might be hiding from within a 10 mile radius knows where they are) and 3. As the eternal source of despair from friends who might prefer not to be in the company of a screaming vegetable. Still, as annoying as he is sometimes, Hallowrove really does love that thing. Sneeve sleeps in a bucket of fresh mud by the door in the swamp cabin. He's an intruder alarm and an alarm clock both. <3

Feeding directions: water them once a day, and ONLY feed them Lankman workers. They won't eat anything elae :(

(Btw. Their sneeves are ripped to fit their wing arms. So the sleeves are more drapped over their wings than anything, only holding on cuz of the claw)

Lemon Balm: Does your OC have any bedtime habits or rituals?

Hallowrove: Filling Sneeve's bucket with fresh mud (mandrakes are fussy, it doubles as an alarm clock because he whines when it gets too dry). Checking that their door is secured, a good habit in the marsh but also a bit of an old tick from that part in Bag a Legend where all the nuns are after you. Putting his goggles on the nightstand, same place out of habit but also because the slight glow is probably good enough to light a lamp or candle by when he needs to get up in the morning.

Null: Picking up or touching every belonging in their lodgings. All the trinkets they've collected and stolen from people, all the expensive gifts they've seduced away from people at the court. They might even pick up armfulls of it all and hold it for a bit, just to feel the weight, as much as they can carry. It only makes them want more, of course, but knowing all of it is Theirs is the closest to satisfaction they can get at the end of a day.

Ginger: What always brightens your OC’s day?

Hallowrove: Finding something unexpected, especially a new creature or unexplored area that could take several hours or days to get to know. Also spontaneous visits from friends - her best friend is a Silverer so it's not too hard to go visiting via mirrors, and everyday life often leaves excuses to go look in on friends at the University while delivering samples or drop by remote spots in the swamp to meet a fellow monster hunter.

Null: Null doesn't exactly have the emotional capacity to get their day "brightened", but making a new connection to exploit might get something akin to excitement from them. A new person enamoured with them at court or a way to incur debt from a spy in the Great Game would make a day much more worthwhile. That or getting hold of a rather large supply of raw meat.

4. Can your OC ride a bike? A horse? Drive a coach?

They will answer yes to all. It is the "yes" of a person who's sized up all three with a good deal less criticality than they likely should have and decided "yeah, I can probably do that." How much confidence that inspires is up to you. I'd get in a coach with them regardless, though. I think it'd be fun.

Not unless you count this thing

(Sneeve does not sleep in bed with him though, he's in a nice wet bucket of mud by the door. This doesn't stop him from climbing in anyway though, to Hallowrove's great dampness and regret.)

🐁 Capybaras are friend-shaped. What shape does your OC have?

Hallowrove: In many cases and for many people they have proven to be problem-shaped. (citations include: breaking into Haarsink's lab that one time, the entirety of Bag a Legend, snooping in Haarsink's lab that one other time, many events on the railway, breaking stuff in Haarsink's lab the most recent time,) However as a less funny answer, I think they are mostly just Hallowrove-shaped. The theme of shaping a space in life to be fitting to themself instead of crunching to fit a role that doesn't leave room for them to be a whole person has been a running one throughout their life, so I think a descriptor all their own is probably most accurate for who they've become in the Neath.

Null: Round. Not like a friend though. Like a black hole. "But a black hole is friend shaped!" Yes exactly. Come Closer. Also give them all your credit card information before you do.

🐹 Which would be your OCs favorite Pokemon? What kind of trainer would they be?

Hallowrove: Sadly I really don't know enough about Pokemon to answer specifically, but I have often thought that a pokemon trainer lifestyle would be genuinely a great fit for them. Travelling constantly? And collecting new Pokemon? An objective that's varied enough to be engaging and rewarding but large enough to be unlikely to be completed too quickly? Hell Yes, sign this guy up, it'd fix probably half his problems. As far as favourite Pokemons go, though...well, Sneeve is as close to a Pokemon as they have right now, so I guess if there's a plant type that screams they might end up with that.

Null: Null's inventory is full of low-level pokemon they've never bothered to train and they can't fit any more in because they refuse to let any go. Null isn't really capable of having favourites, but if they were a Pokemon they'd be the MissingNo glitch.
