what the fuck was going on between these 3

my journey through smallville started when i realised that lots of people thought lex luthor and clark kent had some kind of weird sexual tension, ultimately stemming from this show. i thought: preposterous. because at the end of the day, lex is a closeted gay man who is so obsessed with superman he baby traps him, and on the inverse, superman truly could not give less of a FUCK about him. he cares of course, but in the ‘he’s a villian who need to be stopped’ kinda way. not in the whatever batman has going on with joker kinda way.

and then i watched smallville. and then i realised:

not only are they obsessed with each other, but also lana? but also she’s obsessed with both of them?????? AND THERES LIKE, A WEIRD AMOUNT OF TENSION FOR A CW SHOW??

anyways lex luthor and clark kent being childhood friends is absolutely fucking wild and nonsensical. but also like,,,, i now get where people are coming from. they’re essentially bitter exes.

Inspired by a vintage Superman comic where Clark's identify is revealed by a magic mirror, so I made a version where an identify that Clark himself was not aware of his revealed at one of Lex's weddings. Lex is more concerned about the scars and chains than the fact Clark kept such a big secret from him.
