Felt quirky, redesigned Alduin.

Wanted to make him more worm-like. Based off the Bobbit Worm. I really wanted to give Alduin a more cosmic horror and Lovecraftian vibe. He hides in the night sky and bursts from the stars to Nirn below. His presence can be discovered by a blast of wind as cold as death itself; this wind being his tendrils sensing the mortals he is about to prey upon.  

His body is very long, and from beyond the night sky it stretches and folds all throughout Sovengarde, making an obstacle for the dead to traverse over to make it to those grand halls.

I've always wanted to do a "Pieta"-esque piece, and figured my Skyrim OCs would be a good vehicle to do it! Scene takes place shortly after the final Alduin fight, at the throat of the world: Vakna (dragonborn) doing her best to keep her Falmer lover, Sivasei conscious while imploring Odahviing to take them back to Whiterun.

Whats your opinion on Alduin from Skyrim?

I think he’d be cooler as a more traditional western dragon instead of a wyvern

He’s got the most complicated scales I’ve ever seen Jesus Christ

I really wish all that villain build up didn’t end with me annihilating him in one hit at the end of the game

dont really like this sketch but its all ive got for now lol. Might try to simplify him later?
