SkyStar + "Would You Fall In Love With Me Again"...?

Yo! I keep hearing that clip of Penelope from Epic the Musical singing "I will fall in love with you, over and over again..." and I keep imagining the blorbos from my shows. Trouble is, I can't pin who should play which role in the AMV in my head...

On the one hand-- Skyfire was "waiting, waiting..." in the ice, while Starscream went out to war and changed. However, before his voyage, Odysseus was noted as having a softer/kinder side-- "I am not your kind and gentle husband"-- and I'm not so sure that describes Starscream.

On the other hand (and this is what I'm leaning towards, though it's not perfect either)-- was Skyfire actually waiting, or was he in more of a limbo/stasis? (Hello, Calypso?) You know who has been "waiting, waiting", feeling stuck in his place as time creeps onward? In that clip Penelope is basically lamenting the years they've spent apart, to the point she's basically spiraling. It's maddening. And I keep picturing Starscream having flashbacks to the horrible stuff he's inflicted or endured while his lover was sealed away. It could also be very powerful to see Skyfire (who, as we know, typically does eventually join the war on the Autobots side) realize he also done or contributed to some horrible things, and be so shocked that he believes himself unworthy of love even after the fighting has ceased.

UGH but that's still tough! In my mind the 2nd option is more about a betrayal of Skyfire's core values, because I can't see him going as far as Odysseus does. I also can't see him in the songs leading up to this context-- wherein Odysseus fights his way through a militia to get to his wife and son and take back his home. THAT feels more Starscream...

Like UUUUUGHHH I love the EMOTIONS of the scene but idk who to assign the emotions TO!!!!

Thinking about how Screamer felt after he lost Skyfire in quite stupid way is making me think that he can't bear leaving someone no matter how bad relationships are. And well hmm it's kinda true... I haven't read the comics (don't even know their names lmao help me pls if u can ty) yet but as far as I know his relationship with bbb and windblade were a little bit codependent...

Hiii:) for the ask game thingy can you pretty please do anyone you’d like for sky:) I just wanna hear you ramble!!!!

As a quick forward- I love you so much Dill and I'm so glad that you are interested in my OCs. Sky is my baby girl and she makes me so happy. I love that you love talking about her. Everything I'm about to say is all very silly and I'm not mad at you I promise. With that being said...

I have mentioned on multiple occasions that Sky is not a complex character and she is absolutely NOT the character to use for this ask game.

So. Here's every single ask from that list that I cannot answer with Sky because she literally does not experience character trauma or complexity!

Betrayal, Bound (unless you count the Horizon but that's stupid, that's her fucking home), Failure, Ghost, Guilt, Heartbreak, Hide, Hunt, Mask, Secret, Skin, and Torture. 12 of 24. I can't answer 50% of these questions because they simply do not apply to Sky.

Of the remaining 12, Break, Desire, Fear, Hate, Midnight, Mistake, and Pain aren't really gonna have interesting answers, or I can't answer in the way the question implies it should be answered (ex For Midnight, it's implied that it's talking about fears, and Sky wouldn't be sleeping because she's reading a good book). So, that leaves us with 5 questions that I can provide a good answer for for Sky! Out of 24!

Okay woah. Passive-aggressiveness is done. Sorry I just really like emphasizing that Sky is not a complex character. Here's a few of the questions that I can answer!

Alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Sky has spent most of her life being alone. She's not that bothered by it, but it gets to her every now and then. When she's feeling more lonely, Sky will typically go out, interact with a few of the Horizon citizens that don't hate her (Looking at YOU, Moongoons, how dare you hate my girlie), and often bring Ru with her. Or, she'll spend the day taking care of Ru, walking him, giving him plenty of food, dressing him up, all that. She'll also spend time working on her garden. It really boils down to trying to stay out of her house, since the confinement makes her feel more lonely. And, of course, if ETC is in town, she'll visit xem.

Fear: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away? Future: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility? Hate: What does your OC hate? Why? How do they act towards the object of their hatred?

Lumping these three together because they have similar answers. Sky's worst fear is King Moonjumper finding a way to get out of the Horizon, because the result of that would be disastrous. It's not a severe, pressing fear, but it's definitely there and it's definitely her worst fear. The worst possible ending for Sky would be exactly that- King Moonjumper winning and finding a was out of the Horizon, specifically in a way that ends up with Sky staying alive. Because then she would get to witness him slowly tear apart the space-time continuum and destroy her entire home!

With all that being said. Guess who Sky hates.

Monster: Is your OC monstrous in any way? Is there something that makes them monstrous? Are they aware of their own monstrosity? Do they accept it or reject it?

Besides the obvious visual indicators, Sky does sort of consider herself to be a monster. Not a monster as in a horrible person, but quite literally a monster. She's a native Horizon citizen, she's visibly not human/humanoid (kind of?), and she doesn't consider herself to be human in any way, including using human as a measure of moral standard. Sky is a creature a critter and she likes that.

Which. This is somewhat my reasoning behind why I hate making Sky in Picrews, which I think I've mentioned on Discord once or twice. She is very much a critter to me and I don't want to take that away.

Wound: How does your OC handle being wounded? Are their wounds mostly physical? Mental? Emotional? What's the worst wound your OC has ever experienced?

Sky gets hurt a lot. Thanks, King Moonjumper. She's fairly okay with it, since she is capable of regrowing limbs, but it does still hurt. She has a higher than average pain tolerance. As for emotional pains, Sky doesn't get many (once again, not a complex character), but every now and then she'll get really frustrated with King Moonjumper or very lonely or just overall have a bad day and those tend to be a bit rough for her. But she's always able to bounce back!

[Violence Headcanon]

Azae'latl was no stranger to violence, having trained with her brothers since a young age to become a headhunter, to prove herself to her tribe. She established a reputation as a skilled martial artist and a promising champion of her tribe. In the campaign against the Thunder King, she was chosen by Rokhan to serve as the tribe's tip of the spear to assault the Zandalari stronghold of Za'Tual.

It was on the Isle of Thunder that Azae'latl came to know violence intimately. In its stormy swamps, Azae began her first headhunt - against the Jaguar Warriors, a faction of elite warriors that served the Dark Prophet Zul. She began to learn from her enemy - of their tactics, their weapons, their long-lost loa.

One such loa was not so long-lost.

Azae hunted these Jaguar Warriors across the Isle of Thunder, embracing a primal urge to claim their clawed gauntlets and jaguar-skins. Their so-called Order was in its dying days, its disciples having cast their lot in with a doomed prophet after most of their temples were lost in the Cataclysm.

But one amongst them invoked an ancient, nameless jaguar god, a loa of bloodletting and bloodlust, of omens and obsidian.

The loa work in mysterious ways.

On her final hunt, she faced off against the Order's sole survivor, the last Jaguar Warrior, its Tla'toani - Balam. Though a shadow of his former self, a Jaguar Warrior he remained. They duelled on the storm-wracked beaches of the Bay of Echoes in a clash of obsidian claws, and Azae'latl silenced the Tla'toani's roar.

In the battle's aftermath, she claimed Balam's mantle, her title, for herself. She would, over the course of years to come, finally learn what fate had befallen her. Beseeched by the final breath of its final disciple, an ancient jaguar loa had laid a curse upon her bloodline, and a claim upon her soul.

But first, she would learn what had happened back upon the Echo Isles, during her hunt. First, martial law, then open rebellion. Then, heartbreak, as news finally reached her, one tear-stained letter after another; with each letter that arrived, Azae found herself with one less brother, until eventually, she found herself an only child.

From that day forward, she truly knew the meaning of violence. She threw herself into the nascent revolution, battling the Kor'kron, preying upon former brothers of the Horde to avenge her own fallen family. But no matter how many fell to her obsidian claws, her own bloodlust was never sated.

It would take her many years, and almost cost her her life, but Azae'latl would one day break on through to the Other Side, and confront the loa that had laid claim to her soul. But in the chronicles of the reborn Order of the Jaguar Warriors, this is another story, for another time...

(That was a long and sad one, so some quick and more positive ones to finish off!)

[Likes/Dislikes Headcanon]

Azae'latl dislikes skyscreamer pterrorwings, finding them too cantankerous and, well, loud. She doesn't care for richmons, and she doesn't like beer.

She likes chocolate and tequila, and especially loves chocolate tequila. She adores surfing, and has become particularly fond of the cenotes of Zuldazar, sacred sinkholes of groundwater hidden deep the jade jungles.

[Random Headcanon]

Azae'latl was rewarded for her service to the Zandalari Empire with Azte'catlipoca, a voodoo jaguar construct that serves as her trusty mount.

Hewn from the largest jade deposit ever unearthed from Mount Mugamba, Azte'catlipoca had been dormant within the Halls of Opulence since the days of Dazar the First.

I really like the names of gear items in w101. They're fun and unique. But my favorite will always be the storm school waterworks set. You can't get more insane than SKYSCREAM. What does that even mean?? I don't know. But if I see a storm wizard coming at me with a full skyscream gear set, I'm running the opposite direction
