I’m playing around with called a TWST RoleSwap AU where characters switch lives with another.

For example:

If Grim and Lilia switch roles then Grim will be the wise eccentric mentor figure raising several cubs. And meanwhile, Lilia will be the gremlin who works as half a student with whoever fills Yuu’s role.

Backgrounds will be altered to accommodate characters.

Say Malleus; if he takes the role of Yuu then there will be an addition to his backstory where he was sent to earth. The basics will remain the same. Like how in Riddle’s story he has a toxic mother. Or how Vil’s has him being an actor who seems stuck in villain roles and in second place to Neige. The main change is how each character reacts to it based on their personality.

When all the roles are switched I plan to twist them all into a story. (Eventually...)

For now, let’s lay some groundwork. Due to the limited options in the polls, I won’t be able to list every character. So, please either tag or comment if the character you would like to see is not listed. I will count them the best I can.

A Jally Coincidence???

Hi guys. Just noticed something this week I wanted to bring up. Remember this poll I made for a Twisted Wonderland OC considering a descendant of Skully Graves for my Twisted Wonderland series? The winning name for that poll is Oleander Graves. Initially, his design is a mix of Jack and Sally Skellington leaning towards Sally.

I kid you not: I'm reading "Long Live The Pumpkin Queen" by Shea Ernshaw and GUESS WHAT FLOWER IS FEATURED IN A SCENE?! I'm going to quote it:

(In context, the prologue starts with Jack and Sally getting married from Sally's POV:)

"The moon is a bloody red in the sky- a good omen- and a wilted oleander flower plucked from a patch of poison ivy at the far end of Halloween Town is tucked just behind my left ear- a custom that ensures a long, dreadful life."

And the actual oleander's flower meanings are desire, beauty, carefulness and cautiousness. AND GUESS WHO THAT DESCRIBES??

COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT!

He’s taller than Malleus (not including the horns, just judging by the models) and Sebek (stated explicitly in the dialogue)

He’s 16, same age as the other first years (though Skully only recently turned 16)

Speaks very respectfully, even to fellow first years (Riddle remarks on Skully being very gentlemanly and even Vil calls Skully elegant)

He refers to himself using an archaic form of “I” (wagahai)

HE’S AN OTAKU FOR HALLOWEEN, he calls Jack Skellington “Jack Skellington-sama” and says Jack is the person he admires the most dbsksbsiqguzvs

Skully asks everyone else call him Jack-sama too

He comes from a small isolated fog-shrouded rural village; it is located at the bottom of a valley

His hometown considers Jack Skellington the founder of Halloween; Jack Skellington is not known outside of this village

The people in Skully’s hometown love Halloween and its founder, Jack

He seems to be sleep deprived???

Skully tries to tell others at his school about Halloween and Jack, but his peers don’t listen and get mad at him

He thinks lowly of those who disagree with his opinions on Halloween; there is a drastic shift in his personality when the NRC students express dissent

Skully’s ideal Halloween is solemn and desolate, involving: beating up all ghosts, painting rooms entirely black, no decorations, and no music

This is how his village spends Halloween, in solemn silence; Skully grew up thinking this is how it always is

He likes classical music and opera

He acts gentlemanly because he believes Jack is also a gentleman

He wants to learn piano someday

Skully believes that staying traditional and respecting and protecting the past is important
