Something I really like about the Collector is that no matter the reality, They’re always friends with the Scroll-Keeper on some level. The manga? Pretty decent friends. (SkekOk even calls Chamberlain cringe after he complains about him.) YA Novels? They freaking get drunk on Spriton wine together during a census and they’re just goofballs who love laughing together. AoR? …You already know my feelings about them being an old married couple, But from a PURELY CANON standpoint, having it essentially confirmed by the writers and puppeteers at the con telling me that they were best friends before Lach died, it just makes me happy. It’s very rare for the skeksis to be friends with other skeksis in a purely non-selfish way where there’s nothing to gain.
I just think she’s neat and it’s cool to have at least 1 trait shared throughout all her versions.

Florals - A Dark crystal story
this is a concept (more of a summary description) for what would be the first six chapters of a Dark Crystal 18+ fanfic. it is unedited and incomplete as the story continues to develop, but i am happy with it as it is now and i think others would be interested in reading. the first 6 chapters are primarily skeksil/female original character/skekOk. I'm not a Dark Crystal expert, i just love the characters and the setting and they fuel my imagination and my libido so i had to sit down and write. If you read it, i'd love if you just simply like this post (though sharing and replying are always encouraged) so i have a list of people who like this type of thing- i'm trying to find my people!
minors please do not interact.
skip to ch5 for the real smut lol
kinks - easy access, pet/owner relationship, monsterfucker/terato main character, tickling, mc is au naturel - big 70s bush. the skeksis have four boobs because i say so. and three dicks because thats canon. they're also really old and gross. there's a part with a really messy sneeze if that's your thing. lots of S&M, but it's a dark crystal fic so that's pretty obvious. nipple piercings, nursing, fisting, threesome (skeksis/human/skeksis), humiliation in all directions, and everybody is vers because of course they are. also, skektek walks in on them.
Chapters - ribbons, garden, feather, fortune teller, diamonds, feast.
Chapters - ribbons, garden, feather, fortune teller, diamonds, feast.
Ribbons - chapter 1, setting, and introduction of Ape’s role.
Ape - real name: Ganymede. Isekai’d into thra. That does not need to be explained, nor will it be, because that’s not the interesting part.
Immediately discovered by the chamberlain, who takes control of her movements. She is happy to do so, and is delighted by him, the castle, and everything about it. Also, she refuses to wear clothing, only allowing herself to be clothed in ribbons as she walks through the castle.
Chapter 2 - garden - a stroll in the gardens introduces SkekOk to the chamberlain’s new pet.
Her presence goes uninterrogated by the rest of the skeksis - the castle is massively large, and they don’t see each other very often, mostly sequestered to their different wings. Ape is happy to spend her days nymphing about in the garden. One day in the gardens, she sees another skeksis- a rare sight these days. She can’t help but go and visit. It is skekOk, out for a walk. Skeksil slithers in, making sure skekOk knows that Ape is his prize- but Ape has her own agenda. She believes now they make quite a pretty pair, and likes them next to each other. She is interested to learn more about the scrollkeeper. She voices an appreciation for the gardens, and the scrollkeeper, in a moment of boldness and desire for the Chamberlain’s novelty pet, encourages her to learn more about them in his study. She is intrigued. The Chamberlain, not wishing to alienate her by being too possessive, allows this- but follows the scrollkeeper to his study.
Chapter 3 - feather - Ape begins to break down some of skekOk’s walls.
Ape pursues her own agenda - she is fascinated by skekOk, and wishes to know more about him. But she is bored by his nosings into old tomes, and wishes for more attention from him. She knows exactly how to get to him - she takes a quill from his desk and gives him a delicate, gentle sensation, tickling right under his chin. SkekSil hears a laughter he has not heard in Aeons from where he watches - and despite his boiling rage at the Scrollkeeper’s growing bond with his personal pet, he opts to watch further.
Their conversation turns to the gardens. Ape asks the scrollkeeper if he has a favourite plant from the gardens, and he does - a flowering tree, with fruits used to make high-quality ink. She is delighted - but mentions that she herself loves flowers. She asks if the tree’s flowers are beautiful - and they are. Then, she tells the scrollkeeper that she would like to see the tree when it flowers, and at that time she will make a crown of its flowers for him. The scrollkeeper’s heart is touched - she has appealed to his vanity, his wishes for power, and also his need for companionship which has been so sorely neglected for millenia. He wants her.
The chamberlain now interrupts, under the guise of wishing to see how his pet is doing. For the first time in ages, the two are in the same room. The tension is palpable, but Ape is a delightful diversion, and lubricates the conversation. She notes the Scrollkeeper’s social awkwardness- he tries to speak of flowers in the gardens with the Chamberlain, who is not impressed- but Ape knows what the Chamberlain is interested in, and knows how to make him see the Scrollkeeper as a worthy ally. She urges the Chamberlain to take further advantage of the Scrollkeeper’s encyclopedic knowledge to use on one of the castle’s current projects- the dam system which has had no progress made on it for millenia. The chamberlain knows it could consolidate his power further and encourage the flourishing of crops and the economy of thra, but has no way to prove its worth to the emperor. The Scrollkeeper, however, is able to contribute useful information on the subject of how such a thing would be specifically useful. Finally, his intellect is put to use. The two talk, and Ape lounges- pleased as anything that the two are getting along, even so tenuously. She folds origami to amuse herself as they mutter away.
Chapter 4 - fortune teller - Ape tells Sil and Ok their fortunes
After about an hour of this, she tires of their creaking. She proposes a break - a drink and a game, and then they can look at the project again with fresh eyes. She shows them what she’s created - an origami fortune teller. Despite their mutual continuing dislike, they are intrigued, and allow her to tell their fortunes. Each fortune coincides with a plant from Ape’s home world. The Scrollkeeper receives a daisy of purity, and the Chamberlain gets a rose of passion. She tells them they are both beautiful, in each of their separate ways - and she obviously believes it.
Mollified by drink, They both are very intrigued by this game, and question it further. She attests- it is a simple child’s toy, and a novelty. They are annoyed, and question why she has distracted them with such a silly and insignificant thing. Her answer is simple: because they had fun, didn’t they?
They are noticeably uncomfortable with this moment of levity- for them to get along, after such long resentment….. Ape sees the tension between them, and the hint of longing. She knows exactly what she must do to diffuse their dislike for each other - she holds up the feather from earlier, and states to the Chamberlain that the Scrollkeeper is ticklish. The now-drunk chamberlain cannot resist an opportunity to exert dominance in such a subtle and harmless way- and the scrollkeeper is entertained by the power dynamic despite himself. He gives the scrollkeeper a tickle under his nose- and the scrollkeeper humiliates himself by sneezing all over Ape’s bare body. Ape is playfully outraged, embarrassing the Scrollkeeper further. She insists that he clean her up- frantic, the scrollkeeper does so- and falls right into her trap. The Chamberlain watches with glee as SkekOk is called out for his so-called lecherous groping of Ape (he had been entirely innocently trying to clean her)- who then insists that the chamberlain defends her valour from the disgusting Villain skekOk. SkekOk cannot stop blushing. The chamberlain accepts this challenge, and With ape watching, SkekOk is captured and tickled beneath his throat- sending piles of books and scrolls flying in the act.
But ape takes pity on his poor study, and requests that the Chamberlain be more gentle to Friend Scrollkeeper. This changes the dynamic a bit- the chamberlain’s touches become more languid- and after Aeons, both of them feel a spark of something they need very badly. SkekSil and SkekOk enjoy a moment of tickle S&M- the perfect release from centuries of resentment and loneliness. They finally end up tangled on the chaise lounge, with skekOk doing his very best not to laugh. This is noticed by Ape, who applauds the Scrollkeeper’s self-control- but then challenges the chamberlain to show the same restraint, producing another quill and offering it to SkekOk. The scrollkeeper cannot resist taking his revenge, in a moment of versatility, he expertly tickles the unprepared skekSil, gaining gleeful dominance- and something magical happens. The Chamberlain, giddy and off-balance by the drink and the foreplay of their S&M game, is undeniably aroused by the feeling of the feather, and his whines gain a new and obvious tinge. SkekOk is emboldened by this new feeling of dominance over his fellow Skeksis, and continues despite knowing that the chamberlain is gaining much more out of this than just a laugh- because is now similarly intrigued. This game is truly delicious.
Then, the chamberlain makes a second mistake- he insists that he has been good, and does not deserve this treatment. Ape can tell this is absolutely untrue, and SkekOk has to agree. Then, Ape suggests that the scrollkeeper has tickled SkekSil’s throat quite enough - and suggests that he try tickling elsewhere. SkekSil cannot deny that he wants this very badly - they are both so touch-starved, and a bit desperate. So he allows it, though speaks aloud his dissatisfaction with his predicament, spurring the sadistic scrollkeeper on- the scrollkeeper opens the chamberlain’s robe, baring his grotesque and fascinating body to the world. Things get serious.
Chapter 5 - Diamonds. Do all the skeksis have nipple piercings, or just these two freaks?
Ape’s demeanor immediately changes - she is captivated, enamoured with the sight of it- she now knows what voluptuousness and beauty there is under the skeksis robes, and all thought of tickling is forgotten. Skeksil is a striking sight indeed- his four breasts are each pierced through the nipple with gold and diamonds, glittering against his sallow skin. She cannot help but voice her appreciation, flattering the skeksis- who is a sucker for praise. The Chamberlain can’t help but preen. Ape gets clever, seeing how she can spur this forwards- any interaction between them is her highest entertainment. She asks skekOk if the chamberlain is not beautiful- the scrollkeeper reacts with thoughtful intrigue for the chamberlain’s voluptuousness, but then disgust for skekSil’s aged and flabby form, and declares him quite ugly.
Ape knows this won’t do- and fixes him with a glance. Could it be that the scrollkeeper, under his robes, is tight, perky, and tautly muscled? That he has room to judge? She challenges him with this- and the Chamberlain is intrigued. Another game is in order, now - a beauty contest. The skeksis, deathly vain and unable to resist a chance to prove himself over fellow skeksis, disrobe and show their bodies. Ape is delighted.
SkekOk is truly befitting of the title of the daisy- he is willowy and thin, with modest yet perky breasts- and deliciously surprising, one of his nipples is pierced with a ring and a teardrop-shaped gold dangle for his pleasure. (like buffalo bill’s) his breasts sit atop a delicately rounded belly which is taut and firm, improving his pear-shaped body- for his hips are skinny and his thighs large with cellulite fat deposits. He is delicate and oh so beautiful, a stark contrast to the dark form of SkekSil beside him with his glinting diamonds.
Ape is entirely bewitched by SkekSil as well- for the Chamberlain is more robust, and similarly wonderful. A rose indeed- his belly is not skinny, but instead rounded with fuller fat. His hips are wide, his breasts large and indulgently plump- he is still wrinkled and marred, but his form is undeniably just as beautiful, especially with the luxurious display of his diamond-studded nipples.
Ape is the true loser and winner of the game. She is defeated- and makes it known, unable to keep herself from prostrating and kneeling at their feet- both skeksis are curly-pleased with this development, and warmed beautifully from the display of submission - and as this strong, capable girl kneels at their feet, they get a lovely idea. They place aside their rivalry, and allow her to climb up on the chaise with them. She’s love-drunk, and insists somebody kiss her- and skekOk cannot help but submit.
She somehow maneuvers them so her head is in skeksil’s lap with skekOk on top of her, kissing her silly, trapping skekOk with her strong arms in a tangle of limbs. skekSil is amused by this display- skekOk is back to his submissive ways. SkekSil commands his pet to tease the Scrollkeeper, to amuse him further- and Ape does as she’s told, shimmying down to place her face in the scrollkeeper’s modest breasts. In doing so, she orients the scrollkeeper so his face is mashed humiliatingly into skeksil’s ample bosom - a luxuriously beautiful feeling, but from one so hated- skekOk is tied into knots from the depravity of it- and then entirely undone by the feeling of a nursing mammal on his breast.
This primes skekOk completely- but he is then taken advantage of further. Ape instructs the Chamberlain to hold tightly onto the scrollkeeper, and help her flip him over - he thrashes, wild from the feeling of fingers on his cloaca, which he had humiliatingly destroyed in search for pleasure aeons ago. The chamberlain cannot resist helping Ape play her game- he holds tight onto the scrollkeeper and makes sure he cannot escape while Ape tries one finger, two, then three- and still the Scrollkeeper is barely stretched, so ruined is his body. Then, with a wicked grin, Ape presents a fist.
The scrollkeeper accommodates it comfortably, if also with some choice screams, and tears running down his face. The chamberlain must hold his beak shut to avoid alerting the entire castle. The chamberlain is actually a bit worried- if the scrollkeeper is truly uncomfortable, it would cause complications. He offers a break- but then something interesting happens. The scrollkeeper vigorously shakes his head- no, please do not stop. The message is clear- and without being held down as much, and more simply being supported by skekSil, Ape helps SkekOk to finish.
But the game is not done there- nobody else is satisfied, especially not SkekOk with his untouched completion. He must now take his revenge on the girl. He captures her in a kiss with his reedy tongue, and the dynamic shifts. The chamberlain continues to watch, thoughtfully playing with one of his diamonds.
skekOk pushes Ape to the ground- and she knows she is bested. The one who was meant to protect her simply sits in wait, watching- and with terror, she knows she is in too deep. skekOk positions all three of his members at her entrance, and pushes in- the stretch is incredible, and she is instantly broken and begging for mercy. Her mind shatters. She is barely aware of skekSil finally taking a place behind skekOk and filling him up as well- the three of them rock together gleefully until they each reach a lovely peak- skekOk first, as he was the most benefited, and then her, and then skeksil. They fall in a heap on the carpet and ape makes sure they do not leave her- they actually cuddle.
Chapter 6 - feast - the three must talk with skektek.
Hours later, Ape wakes with a shiver from the cold-blooded pile. She delicately extricates herself, tiptoeing across the floor- only to be greeted with a shocked SkekTek- he had come to offer plans for the building of the dam, and completely by coincidence he chose this exact time to do so- discovering their debauchery.
Immediately, they are all back to their old ways- skekOk is indignant and covers himself, abashed, SkekSil is scheming- he has no shame. Ape, not having met Skektek before, expresses remorse that this is their first meeting, but explains that they should all meet for dinner so they may talk about all this and the plans for the dam that skekTek has brought. They will meet in half an hour.
Then, with skekTek gone, she turns back to the two of them. Finally somewhat satiated, she feels quite different. She also doesn’t really have to play dumb anymore-not that that was what she meant to do before. But she finally clothes herself in a beautiful sheer dress the scrollkeeper had from the ornamentalist from a bygone time. She allows them to clothe her, and ties her hair up for dinner- she also takes a pair of the scrollkeeper’s spectacles, and finds herself relieved at not having to squint anymore. The playing field is evened a bit - they are also entirely bonded to each other, or at least they are both bonded to Ape. they do however need each other for strategic reasons, and must stay on good terms.
Ape knows this, and pushes things a bit further- she draws them both close- her daisy and her rose. She revels in their humiliation that they gain from being drawn close together by her, but they both love her affections and relent as she kisses both of them at once, clacking their beaks together. The message is clear: there will be no more squabbling for now, and they will have a lovely time at dinner.
The dinner hall is laden high with a feast- and befitted with machines from skektek’s past experiments. The dining hall has not been used in a very long time, and Ape expresses interest in the machinery, flattering the scientist- the game is afoot once more.

SkekOk the Scrollkeeper as a skywing dragon from the book series Wings of Fire written by Tui T. Sutherland (I highly recommend reading the series if you want a good book where all the main characters are dragons and there are almost no humans)
I did this drawing for a contest on deviantart where we had to pick any fictional character from any media (books/movies/shows/etc) and draw them as dragons of any tribe from the wings of fire book series so of course I choose a skeksis. I also did sketch drawings of The Ritual master, Hunter and scientist as dragons but I haven't done them digitally yet (but it will happen one day :3 )
The contest is now closed and I didnt win but it was lots of fun to enter!

What I wish had happened with Brea and skekOk:
I would have absolutely loved it if skekOk had developed an attachment to Brea, even for a short amount of time.
In the first episode, there seemed to be a genuine connection between the two. Seeing them talk about books while in the carriage was a bit heartwarming, and I kinda wanted to go “Aw!” when Brea hugged him.
In the books, we see how skekSa has genuine affection for the Sifa Gelfling, and the series shows us through skekGra that it is possible for Skeksis to be good. I feel that skekOk could have been a tragic look at a Skeksis who almost turns good. (We know he won’t, since he’s evil in the movie.)
I can see him trying to claim Brea when the Hunter brings her, telling the Emperor that he wants a new “pet” to help him in the library. He would rationalize the draining of the Gelfling to her, and assure her that she will be safe as long as she behaves. Brea tries to get through to him, her experiences with skekGra giving her hope that other Skeksis can be turned good, and skekOk protests, but finds himself thinking about Brea’s words more than he should.
Then, when she flees with Seladon, Tavra, the other Gelfling, he sees it as a betrayal, reverting fully to his classic Skeksis nature.
