Liar - @black-brothers-microfic - Word Count: 752 - Starchaser
Tumblr media
Regulus Black didn’t like surprises. He didn’t like them in the form of unexpected guests, unannounced changes to his carefully laid plans, or, worst of all, parties in his honor. The idea of a surprise party for his birthday was, in his opinion, a disaster waiting to happen. Unfortunately for him, his boyfriend James Potter wasn’t one to shy away from a challenge—especially when said challenge involved celebrating the person he loved most.
“It’ll be perfect,” James had promised Sirius that morning. They were in the middle of moving the furniture in the flat James shared with Regulus, making room for what Sirius dramatically dubbed “The Birthday Extravaganza.” Lily and Remus were already on their way with decorations and food.
“You’re playing with fire, mate,” Sirius warned, even as he hoisted the coffee table to one side. “Reg doesn’t just dislike surprises—he loathes them. Do you remember what happened last Christmas when Mum sent that impromptu ‘peace offering’ gift?”
“He set it on fire in the garden and called it cathartic,” James replied without missing a beat. “But this is different. It’s a birthday party, not a cursed letter. And I’m his boyfriend. He’ll forgive me.”
“If you say so,” Sirius said, smirking. “Just make sure he doesn’t catch on. Reg’s got that sixth sense for sniffing out lies. You’re not exactly subtle, Prongs.”
James huffed but didn’t argue. Keeping secrets from Regulus was like trying to hide something from a particularly sharp-eyed magpie. Still, he was determined to pull this off.
Tumblr media
The first hurdle came at breakfast.
“What are you doing today?” Regulus asked, sipping his tea as he gave James a pointed look. James felt the weight of suspicion already.
“Oh, just errands,” James replied casually, stuffing a piece of toast into his mouth to avoid elaborating.
“Errands?” Regulus’s tone suggested he wasn’t buying it. “You hate errands.”
“Yes, well, sometimes you have to do things you don’t like, love.” James flashed him a dazzling smile. Regulus raised an eyebrow but let it go… for now.
The next few hours were a delicate dance of avoidance and half-truths. James tried everything to keep Regulus occupied and away from their flat. First, he suggested they take a walk in the park. Regulus agreed, though he seemed suspicious of James constantly checking his watch. Then, James pretended to be interested in a shop window display he’d never cared about before, prompting Regulus to narrow his eyes.
By lunchtime, Regulus’s patience was wearing thin. “Why are you acting so strangely?” he asked, crossing his arms as they stood outside a café.
“I’m not acting strangely,” James replied, though his voice cracked slightly. Regulus tilted his head, a predator locking onto its prey.
“You’re lying,” he said flatly.
“I’m not—”
“You are. You’ve been lying all morning. Care to explain why?”
James opened his mouth, closed it, and then blurted, “It’s for a good reason!”
Regulus’s eyes narrowed further. “I hate liars, James.”
James groaned, running a hand through his messy hair. “I know, I know. But trust me, you’ll understand later.”
Regulus looked unimpressed but allowed James to drag him to another shop under the pretense of “just browsing.” James silently begged the clock to move faster.
Tumblr media
When they finally returned to the flat, it was late afternoon. Regulus opened the door and froze. The entire living room was transformed: banners with “Happy Birthday” hung across the walls, balloons floated in the corners, and the smell of freshly baked cake filled the air. Their friends were there, grinning, and Sirius was holding a glass of champagne like he was about to toast.
Regulus turned slowly to face James, who was biting his lip nervously.
“You lied to me,” Regulus said, his voice quiet.
“I did,” James admitted. “But it was to surprise you. And look, everyone’s here! Happy birthday, love.”
For a moment, Regulus just stared at him. Then, to James’s immense relief, he sighed and shook his head, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
“You’re an idiot,” Regulus said. “But you’re my idiot.”
“Does that mean I’m forgiven?” James asked hopefully.
“It means you’re lucky I’m in a good mood,” Regulus replied, stepping inside. “But don’t think I’ll forget this anytime soon.”
Sirius clapped James on the back as the party got underway. “See? I told you he’d survive.”
“Barely,” James muttered, watching Regulus chat with Lily. But when Regulus caught his eye and gave him a genuine smile, James decided it was all worth it.

the space between us (or lack thereof) - wolfstar | 4.6k | E (18+)
Remus gets jealous when Sirius flirts with the waiter during a night out with their friends. The tension builds, leading to a fiery confrontation once they're home, where things quickly escalate. The argument turns into something much more heated, as unresolved desire bubbles to the surface. They’re left to face what they truly want—or what they've been avoiding all along.
OR
Remus gets jealous, Sirius is a brat, they argue, and then they fuck. Sirius turns out to be a very good boy.
———————————————————————————
Remus and Sirius arrived back at their flat late. The latter man huffed impatiently as Remus attempted to unlock the door with shaky hands, breathing deep and heavy. The air was thick as Sirius breathed heavily on the back of Remus’ neck, inching one hand around his boyfriend’s waist in a tentative attempt to ease the tension from his body. If Remus noticed, he made no motion of acknowledgement, focused only on the stubborn lock. Once Remus managed to unlock it, both of them walked through, Sirius’ boots knocking the back of the aforementioned man’s heel due to the lack of space in the cramped apartment hallway.
As the tension continued to grow, the distance between the two increasing by the minute, Sirius thought back to their night and what possibly could have incited Remus’ reaction. They’d just arrived home from an evening out with James, Regulus, Mary, Lily, Dorcas, and Marlene. Work had been hectic for the group, and they decided meeting up for drinks and dinner on Saturday night would be a good way to catch up. To Sirius’ knowledge, nothing had happened between Remus and any of their friends, nor had any conflict arisen itself between the two of them.
Remus was fine at the beginning of the night – if not a little flirty. His hand had been softly grazing Sirius’ thigh under the table, rubbing soft circles on the inside seam of Sirius’ tight black jeans with his thumb. Sometime after they ordered drinks, Remus’ demeanor had shifted, taking on a more stoic facial expression as he avoided speaking to Sirius the bulk of the night. At some point, his hand had migrated off of Sirius’ thigh, and each advance Sirius made at contact ended in Remus brushing him off. Regardless, Sirius maintained his usual charisma, entertaining the table with wild stories and even cracking a few jokes with the waiter, whose playful banter Sirius had gleefully returned without a thought.
As they said their goodbyes outside the bar, Remus made himself scarce, not actively avoiding contact with Sirius, while also not actively initiating any affection. As Sirius observed the other man, he could see the tension etched into Remus’ muscles, cascading down his back and outlined by the slightly too-snug button-down he wore. As his eyes drifted down his lover's back, Remus’ clenched hands caught Sirius’ gaze, more specifically their taught nature that accentuated the veins and scars that ran from the beginning of his wrist to the ends of his long and slender digits.
As James had hugged Sirius, he whispered a quiet, “Everything alright? Remus seems…tense.” in his ear, squeezing his shoulder in a comforting manner.
Sirius responded with a shrug and an eye roll, “Not sure, mate. He’s been in a prissy mood since we ordered the drinks earlier,” he muttered. After saying their goodbyes to the rest of their friends, and assuring James once more that everything was fine, they parted ways and made in the direction of their shared flat.
Sirius placed the keys to his bike in the catch all on the entry table, removed his shoes, and turned to speak to Remus, only to be met by the sight of his boyfriend stalking off towards their bedroom, already feet away. Great, Sirius thought, it's going to be one of those nights. He sauntered over to the couch and pulled out blankets and a pillow, prepared for Remus to sequester him to the couch for the night's sleep. Though he was unaware of what was going on, he respected the fact that Remus may be in need of some personal space for the night.
After the couch was prepped, Sirius clambered up the hallway towards their shared bedroom, and pushed open the door lightly, peering inside to look for Remus. Glancing around the room granted him no sight of his boyfriend, leading him to think he must have already snuck off for a shower. This was confirmed by the light that seeped underneath the bathroom door, the sound of water running against glass present faintly in the background.
Sirius stalked over to their shared dresser and pulled out one of Remus’ sweaters and a pair of boxers. As he rounded the corner of the bed and walked towards the door, he heard the shower water cut off followed moments later by the soft click of the bathroom door opening. He freezed in his spot, glancing up towards the door, where he was met by the sight of his shirtless boyfriend, water beads rolling gently down his chest to where the towel sat loosely wrapped along his waist. His gaze lingered on the seam of the towel momentarily, and then slowly crawled up Remus’ chest until their eyes met, Remus’ stare swimming with an array of emotion. Sirius recognized some of the feelings present in Remus’ gaze; anger, conflict, and something frustratingly akin to sadness .
Sirius glanced away quickly once he gauged the emotions, only to quickly glance back over in his direction at the sound of sudden movement, the carpet swishing gently as Remus slowly approached him, stopping a few feet away. Their eyes met once more, Sirius watching as the muscles in Remus’ jaw clenched open and closed as the taller man observed Sirius’ face with intent, probably formulating some absurd reason for why he was being so passive aggressive.
Remus still couldn’t seem to find the words he was looking for as he looked fixedly at Sirius, so the shorter man decided to take the lead. “Are you finished sulking, Remus? Are you actually going to talk to me about why you’ve been so cold this evening?” Sirius hissed, popping out his right hip and crossing his arms as his body radiated with the increasing anger he felt coursing through his veins like ice.
The sentence was met with an immediate eye roll from Remus, the primary emotion in his gaze shifting from conflicted to angry as he finally spoke. He huffed out a frustrated, “Really? You were practically preening at the fucking waiter while he was flirting with you. You lapped up every word he spoke like it was your fucking due.” eyes flicking down to Sirius’ pink lips, slightly swollen from where Sirius had been biting at them nervously. Remus’ eyebrows scrunched together, warm amber eyes immediately darkening with hunger as he took in Sirius’ slightly disheveled state, already half undressed in preparation for sleep. He wanted to take Sirius under him and ravage him, making sure everyone knew Sirius was his and no one else’s.
Sirius’ jaw tightened in frustration, tongue brushing the back of his front teeth as he chuckled incredulously. “Are you kidding? That’s why you’ve been acting like a complete and utter prat all night?” he spat, chest heaving with each deep breath he took into his lungs, eyes widening briefly and then slimming down into a fierce glare, fixed directly on Remus.
Within the few moments after he fixed his eyes on the other man, he recognized the look present in Remus’ demeanor; want, more specifically, a want to possess Sirius. All of the anger and vitriol seeped out of his stature, replaced by a similar feeling of want and more importantly, need . The need to be possessed, to give in to every one of Remus’ wants and demands, to be a good boy , pliant under the weight and strength of his lover’s body. The feeling burrowed itself deep into his bones, a mix of cold rush flowing through his veins and heat rising on his pale, pink-tinged cheeks. He knew that look, a gaze Remus fixed upon him in moments where the taller man needed to showcase the dominance that came so naturally to him, when Remus needed to take him and make him his in every sense of the word.
“Are you jealous, Moony?” Sirius chuckled, his blush giving way to a darker red, spreading down the side of his neck where Remus’ eyes had drifted. He watched as Remus clenched his fists at his sides, clearly trying to hold back some carnal reaction to the accusation Sirius had launched at him. Gods , this man was going to be the death of him, in more ways than one if Sirius’ got what he planned tonight.
“There’s no need to b-“ Sirius began to speak, but his words were cut off by a sudden rush of motion as Remus gripped his hips harshly, pushing him against the dresser, the corner digging deep into Sirius’ upper thigh. Remus’ grip and the harsh press of the dresser would probably leave bruise marks on his pale skin, but at the moment, he couldn’t be bothered to care. This is exactly what he wanted, what he needed , so deeply and maddeningly.
Remus rarely lost his control with Sirius, especially in such a manner that his anger was showcased not only in his words and body language, but also through his physical actions. Remus was typically quite the gentle lover, always fearful of being too aggressive with Sirius, worrying that the primal wolfish instincts that buried itself under his skin would crawl to the surface and cause irreparable damage. No matter how many times Sirius assured him this was not the case, that he believed Remus could never and would never harm him, he was always met with a quick shrug and change of subject.
If anything, Sirius wanted Remus to be a little rough with him from time to time. He’d be lying if he said that on more than one occasion, he hadn’t instigated slightly to try and get underneath Remus’ skin enough to initiate such a reaction as the one Remus was clearly having now. Nothing serious, mind you, only the occasional snarky comment that took their level-headed and constant bickering just a little too far. Sirius had more dreams than he would like to admit that involved Remus pinning him down on their bed, or bending him over the brown mahogany desk in his office, and absolutely ruining him, taking him apart until he was little more than a whimpering, teary-eyed mess.
Remus kept one hand firmly planted on Sirius’ side, fingertips digging into the soft flesh of his hip, almost as if his intention was to leave a mark so that Sirius would have the constant reminder for the next few days. His other hand gripped the root of Sirius’ hair and gave it a sharp tug, causing his head to fly back, exposing his neck, pulse fluttering rapidly underneath his pale, blushed skin.
Sirius’ eyes rolled deeply into the back of his skull, hands flying up from where they were planted on the dresser to rest on Remus’ shoulder blades, grasping and scratching at the tan, scarred skin for some semblance of solid ground and weight. He took in a sharp breath, the sudden spark of pain mixed with an intense wave of pleasure, a cold shiver running down his spine and straight to his cock as he let out a pathetic whimper. If he bucked his hips at just the right angle, he could feel Remus’ bulge rutting against his own, proof that what he was feeling in the moment was anything other than singular.
“I think you’re better off keeping that pretty little mouth shut, love, at least until you see what I have planned for you. At that point, you can scream as loud as you want, so the entire block knows you’re mine, ” Remus grunted out, nipping at the soft skin in the crevice of Sirius’ neck just below his ear, a sweet spot that never failed to an earth-shattering moan from the man beneath him. “I think you need someone to teach you how to behave. How to be a good boy , don’t you, Sirius?” Remus laughed bitterly, biting down in a quick motion on the skin he had been softly nipping at just moments before.
Sirius let out a strangled whine, “Please, Moony. I’ll be good, I promise. I’ll do anything, just please, please, please , touch me.” Sirius quickened the thrusts of his hips, only to be met with the sharp motion of Remus pinning him against the dresser, ceasing any movement, and therefore ridding Sirius of the slight bit of pleasure he has been gaining from his cock brushing against Remus’.
Remus lifted his hand from Sirius’ hip, thigh slotting in its place to pin down Sirius as he dragged his hand up to his neck. His fingers gripped the other man’s jaw as he let out a gruff chuckle, pinning Sirius down with a gaze that was downright dangerous. He was going to take Sirius apart, bit by bit, piece by piece, until he had him begging for release, and then he might grant him that luxury. Remus was going to make Sirius work for it.
“Be careful what you wish for, love,” Remus murmured into the crook of Sirius’ neck, voice rough and gritty as he continued his thought, “Tonight, you'll learn exactly who you belong to.”
With that sentence, Remus renewed his grip on Sirius’ hair, eliciting a groan from the other man as he pushed him down onto his knees. In one swift motion, he pulled at the towel wrapped around his waist, quickly discarding it by the foot of the bed. His cock was already hard, precum beading at the tip at the sight of Sirius on his knees, completely pliant and ready to do anything to prove himself to Remus.
Remus canted his hips forward, pressing the tip of his cock against Sirius’ lips in a suggestion for the other man to open his mouth. “Want to prove yourself to me baby? Wanna be my good boy?” Remus breathed out, restraining himself from fully pushing his cock past Sirius’ already swollen lips. Sirius nodded violently, mouthing at Remus’ glazed tip, grey eyes glassy and darkened, pupils blown as they gazed up at him through long dark lashes.
Remus let the hand not holding Sirius by the hair fall, resting on the sharp curve of his jawline, thumb grazing the corner of his mouth and pushing in slightly in a motivating gesture. “Open up, baby,” Remus purred, “I’m going to fuck that pretty mouth.”
Immediately, Sirius’ mouth fell open in an obedient gesture, tongue pushing out to lick Remus’ cock from the base to the tip. This motion prompted a guttural moan to fall past Remus’ lips, breath deepening as he glanced down at his boyfriend, malleable as ever under his dominating grip. With one decisive motion, Remus pushed his cock past the entrance of Sirius’ mouth and into the wet heat, providing little time for Sirius to adjust to his length. He let out another moan, one that went straight to Sirius’ own dripping cock, precum falling on the hardwood floor between his knees. Sirius took everything Remus provided, bobbing his head up and down, aided by Remus’ steel grip on his hair.
Sirius worked carefully and with expertise, cheeks hollowed out as his tongue ran along the vein that presented itself when Remus was especially hard. Sirius had always known how to read Remus’ reactions to find what worked best, taking in each sharp intake of breath or the way his hand tangled itself in the roots of Sirius’ hair and tugged . Remus’ cock grazed the back of his throat with each thrust, but Sirius took it well, savoring the taste of the other man on his tongue.
As he worked, he glanced back up towards the other man, locking his gaze onto Remus’, taking in how his mouth fell open with quiet whimpers, lips a deep pink from where his teeth had sunk into the supple skin. They maintained eye contact as Sirius continued, a silent message passing between the two of them; I see you, I know you, I love you, I’m yours. A direct confirmation to both of them of the complete and utter dedication they each held for the other, a silent whisper of the vulnerability they both expressed in moments like these. Remus’ hand tightened in his hair before pulling him off completely, eliciting a whine from Sirius.
“While your mouth is divine, I’d rather fuck you into the bed and remind you who you belong to. You’re my good boy, right, love? ” Remus said slyly, smirking at the look of absolute submission present on the other man’s face. He took a moment to admire the truly fucked out state Sirius was in – mouth open, a line of spit and with precum still connecting his swollen, red lips to Remus’ cock. His cheeks were flushed a dark pink, chest rising and falling rapidly as he attempted to catch his breath, eyes completely glazed over with a mix of exhaustion and need.
He looked every bit the picture of debauched perfection. Remus took a moment to himself, reveling in the fact that Sirius, his Sirius, was laid out bare in front of him, ready to take anything Remus’ decided to give him. He was ruined, desperate, but still panting a silent cry for more .
As Remus’ hand grazed over Sirius’ wet, puffy lips, he let out a deep sigh of adoration. His fingers grazed Sirius’ chin, gripping it softly to pull Sirius’ head forward slightly. “On the bed.” Remus commanded, tugging slightly on Sirius’ chin in his grip to get him moving.
The tone Remus carried was one of authority, but was also laced with a tenderness that grounded Sirius, providing him a layer of security only Remus' voice could provide. Sirius obeyed immediately, getting up off the hardwood floor with shaking legs, stumbling slightly on his way over to the bed. He sat on the edge, chest still heavy with heavy breaths as he obediently awaited Remus’ next direction.
Remus moved slowly towards the bed, watching every movement Sirius made like a wolf stalking its prey. As he walked over, he took in how Sirius’ muscles shook with the anticipation of what Remus was going to do to him, how he was going to take Sirius apart and then put him back together in the same breath. He took in Sirius’ messy hair, where his fingers had been tangled only moments before as Remus fucked his throat raw.
Remus stepped onto the mattress and pushed Sirius back onto the bed, the springs creaking under their weight. He stopped a few inches from Sirius’ face, breath ghosting over the other man’s face as his hands gently caressed his trembling thighs. Remus could hear the shakiness present in Sirius’ shallow breaths, waiting in anticipation to see Remus’ next move.
Remus’ eyes flickered from Sirius’ own, down to his swollen mouth, and then back up again. As he leaned closer, he whispered quietly, “You’re going to take everything I give you, aren’t you, love?”, his words pressing a gentle challenge.
“Mmhm,” Sirius whined, barely able to get a word out “I’ll be so good, Moony. I’ll take it all, whatever you give me.” he answered, his soft grey eyes meeting Remus’ warm amber ones as they both exchanged a look of pure admiration. Electricity ran through Sirius’ veins, ready and malleable under Remus’ touch, ready to take, take, and take .
Remus’ gaze darkened, predatory need and hunger creeping in, as he took in the state of absolute need of the man in front of him. He could sense it, the absolute desperation seeping out of Sirius’ very being as he waited for Remus. There was a gentle beauty in his vulnerability, the complete surrender Sirius allowed himself to feel around Remus, trusting and able to hand himself over. His fingers danced over Sirius’ pale skin softly, watching as goosebumps popped up across his limbs, inching up onto his stomach. His palms moved carefully over the rigi, hard lines of Sirius’ muscles, paying close attention to the way they shifted and tensed under his caress.
“Spread your legs,” Remus ordered, his tone switching again to one more heavily saturated in authority, aiding Sirius by pushing on the soft skin between his thighs, prompting them to move outward. As his hands moved, he gently shifted along the tip of Sirius’ hard, reddened cock, leaking with an obscene amount of precum at his pure desperation to be touched. Sirius reacted immediately, hips canting up in an attempt to apply pressure where he needed it most. “Look at you,” he muttered, “You’re mine, do you understand?”
Remus watched, checking for any signs of hesitation in Sirius’ gaze, above all else wanting to make sure Sirius was ready. However, it was clear in the soft, quick pants that released from between his lips, his hips bucking instinctively upwards towards Remus’ hovering grasp, that Sirius wanted nothing more than to be taken.
“Please, Remus. I need it. I want you, I need you. ” Sirius keened out, throwing his head back in a low whine as his chest fluttered with each breath; in and out .
Remus’ expression twisted into something darker as he moved in to hover right under Sirius’ ear, whispering, “I’m going to make sure you’re prepared and ready for me. I’ll make you beg . My pretty baby.” With one gentle motion, a mere flick of his fingers, he cast a wandless lubrication charm, prompting a sharp gasp of shock from Sirius.
Remus worked gently to prep Sirius, gently working him open. He slid in one finger, though with the help of Sirius being so desperate combined with the lubrication charm, it was quickly followed by another. Each motion was followed by quiet moans and whimpers from the man beneath him, Sirius pressing his face into the pillow beside him, grasping at the white linen sheets with reckless abandon. With each thrust of his fingers, he curled them upward, locating the sensitive bundle of nerves he knew all too well drove Sirius wild. His point was proven with one sure thrust as Sirius moaned loudly, “Fuck, Remus. Oh my god, fuck . Please, Moony. Please fuck me. I need you.”
“That's it, love. Beg for it. Tell me how badly you want me to fuck you, to fill you up. Tell me you’ll be my good boy” Remus groaned, adding another finger as he continued thrusting, his thumb pressing gently on Sirius perineum, making the other man gasp in pleasure.
“Please, Remus. Please,” Sirius all but cried out, “I’ll be good. I’ll be so good for you, I promise. I’m your good boy, please .”
“There we are. See, that wasn’t too hard, was it?” Remus questioned, an underlying tone of humor present in his voice. He watched as Sirius stomach muscles contracted with the increasing levels of pressure he encountered, watching his thighs tremble with want. While Remus wished to draw this out longer, he was unsure how much longer he could stave off the carnal desire to fuck Sirius senseless .
Remus propped himself up on his knees, centering his cock right over Sirius’ hole, taking one glance at the man below him as he slowly slid his tip inside. Sirius was still tight, With each thrust he inched deeper and deeper, until he had completely bottomed out, a motion that drew out gasps of pleasure from both men. Remus’ fingers dug into the divots of Sirius’ hip, using his grip to thrust harder into the man below him, the sound of their hips slapping together echoing in the room.
This moment, Sirius below him, taking him so well, this was true devotion – a complete surrender of control on Sirius’ part, one that left Remus breathless as he observed his cock thrusting into Sirius at a sharp pace. Remus drank in the sight of Sirius, one hand drifting up to grip his chin and direct their gazes to meet. “Look at me, Sirius. Don’t look away,” he murmured softly, “You’re mine, and I’m yours. You’re taking me so well, my good boy. ”
Sirius let out a cry at the praise, bucking his hips up to meet Remus’ harsh thrusts, convulsing as each sensation completely took over his body. His back arched off the bed, legs thrashing about in utter pleasure as Remus brought up a fist and grasped his hard, leaking cock, rubbing his thumb over the tip and spreading Sirius’ precum. He pumped viciously in time with each thrust, hitting that spot deep inside Sirius that made him see stars .
“Fuck, love. You’re incredible,” Remus praised breathlessly as he quickened his pace, chasing the eventual crashing high both he and Sirius so desperately needed. “You’re doing such a good job, letting me take control,” he continued, breaths quickening with each thrust, “I’ve never seen you like this, so perfect for me.”
As the moment drew closer, Remus’ thrusts became less-focused and drilled, inching towards a sloppier pace as he buried his face into Sirius' neck and inhaled his sweet scent. “You’re close, aren’t you, love?” Remus murmured, dipping out his tongue to taste a drop of sweat running down Sirius’ collarbone. His pace on Sirius’ cock quickened as it twitched in his hand, Sirius inching closer to a full-bodied release as his mouth fell open in a silent cry. “I can feel it. I want you to let go. Make a mess all over yourself, baby. My perfect love. My good boy. ” Remus whispered, just a few moments away from falling over the edge himself.
Remus’ words were laced with honey and desperation, so sweet and wanting that Sirius almost melted upon hearing them, the breath he held completely knocked out of his chest. The raw energy Remus put into each thrust was enough to push Sirius over the edge when paired with the praise Remus showered over him, his hole tightening around Remus’ cock as he let out loud, desperate cries. Remus followed as soon as Sirius tightened around him, hammering into Sirius with one final push, legs shaking as he hit his climax. Sirius’ body shook violently, his back arching completely off of the bed as his lower abdomen tensed, nails clawing desperately at Remus’ back, leaving dark red marks in their wake. Hot strips of cum spilled over his stomach and over Remus’ fingers as they both fell into each other.
After a moment, Remus pulled out carefully, pulling a whimper from Sirius, still sensitive from the full-body climax he just experienced. Remus peppered kisses down Sirius’ torso and up to his face, carding his hands gently through the other man’s hair as he whispered sweet nothings into his ear. Once he had wiped both of them down with the towel that had been discarded on the floor earlier, he curled up behind Sirius, inching his arms around his waist in a loving embrace.
“You did so well, my love,” Remus spoke softly, fingers carding gently through Sirius’ thick black curls, “I love you, Sirius. I’m all yours, never forget that.”
Sirius pressed back into Remus’ touch, moving his head back and forth in tandem with Remus’ fingers softly massaging his scalp. He turned around slowly, curling into Remus’ warm chest as he wrapped one arm over Remus’ stomach, the other falling between their bodies. Their legs fell together, Sirius’ shorter legs tucked in between Remus’ longer ones as they held each other.
As the minutes passed, the only sound audible in the room was the rumble of the wind outside mixed with the soft noise of their breathing in tandem. Remus wrapped his arms tighter around Sirius’ midriff, pulling him closer in a loving gesture.
“I don’t think I’ll ever forget,” Sirius spoke sweetly, “You’re mine, always have been, Moony. Always.”
Remus' heart swelled at the admission, pure adoration for the man below him seeping into his every being, a type of safety and security falling over him that only ever presented itself in the presence of the person you love the most.
Remus kissed the top of Sirius’ head, gently caressing his cheek as he breathed out, “And you, Pads, will always be mine.”

"You're going to make us late y/n!" Marlene yells, Lily chuckling by her side as they wait for you to get ready. It wasn't your fault that you were still in class, and definitely not your fault that everyone had made Hogsmeade plans whilst you were in said class. You heard the door to the dorm open and slam shut, three extra voices added to the commotion in the room. You run around the bathroom, throwing off your tie and running your hands over your slightly crinkled shirt, hoping the outfit you picked out matched the image you'd created for it in your head. Kicking off your skirt, you shimmy on a pair of low waisted jeans. You pull the material of your shirt up, wondering if you should tuck it in or not before deciding against it.
Shrugging, you open the door to the bathroom, closing the closet door after stuffing your school shoes in its bottom compartment. You sit on the floor, putting on your sneakers and tying your laces. You glance at the boys who have joined your dorm mates in the room. James, your brother, sits with an arm wrapped around Lily's shoulder, whispering something into her ear. You pull a disgusted face, turning your attention to the others. Remus catches your eye and smiles widely, which you immediately return. Oh, the things you would do to stroll up and kiss him, but unfortunately, all that would do is expose your relationship to your brother. You push yourself off the ground, your shirt riding up your torso a little, and you walk into the open space of the room, putting your sun glasses on your head. "Okay I'm ready." You announce, attracting five pairs of eyes.
Sirius is the first to make a comment, asking "What counter did you have a fight with?" The comment confuses you, and you pull a face at the boy. "He means, how come you have bruises on your hips?" Marlene corrects, clearing her throat awkwardly. You glance down, view of your hips obstructed by your breasts. Huffing, you turn towards the mirror, jaw dropping just as James says "I think what they both mean is which boy fucked you so hard you have bruises on your hips?" You grimace at your brother's rephrasing, looking at the expression on his face through the mirror while Sirius barks out a laugh. James's jaw is tightly clenched, eyebrows furrowed angrily and you laugh nervously, watching as he slowly stands up. You definitely didn't think about the after effects of Remus having you bent over your desk yesterday, a hand slapped over your mouth despite the dorm's emptiness. At least the sex was good. Regaining your composure with a cough, you say "My sex life is none of your business, James."
James crosses his arms over his chest, narrowing his eyes at you. "What, you don't think an older brother should care about their sister's romantic involvement with boys?" You grin, putting your arm through the handle of your purse. "No." You walk towards him, poking him in the chest. "And three minutes doesn't count as older." You open the door to your dorm, saying "After you, princess." Marlene and Sirius burst into a fit of giggles, and you can see Lily and Remus's unhidden grins from the corner of your eye. Three people stand up, following your brother out of the dorm, but one person stays behind, letting you close the door before approaching you.
Remus's hands land on your hips, massaging the bruises sorry with a small smile on his face. "I'm sorry about those sweetheart." He says, pecking your lips sorry. You hum, opening the door again, and shooing him out. "I think that smile says otherwise, Lupin. Causing me trouble with my brother..." He laughs at your comment, chasing after the others before you attempt a weak attack at him.

────── ☾ ──────
“Morning!”
The group at the Gryffindor table turned their heads toward you.
“Morning,” Remus responded, twisting his body to see you standing directly behind him.
“You guys mind if I sit with you?”
“Not at all, gorgeous,” Remus flirted, patting the spot to his right as he took another bite of french toast.
You blushed as you sat down, smiling to everyone else at the table as a greeting.
As you settled in, the group continued the conversation they were having about upcoming exams. Being a year below them, you didn’t have much to offer, and you were growing bored.
You leaned over toward Remus, confidence beaming due to your desire for attention as you whispered, “thank you for yesterday. You were really nice to me.”
Remus turned his attention away from the group as he looked at you, smiling, “of course, but there’s no need to thank me. It was a pleasure.”
His flirtations made you blush. You thought about how funny it was that he had literally fucked you, yet one little comment made your heart putty in his hands.
You were blushy and giggly like a schoolgirl with a crush, completely unable to control yourself. “I’m glad it was a pleasure.”
Remus smiled even wider, catching onto your antics. “I fucked you once and now you’re in a mood, huh?” he teased.
“Maybe.”
Remus looked around the table, who still hadn’t noticed his absence from the conversation, and he took your hand, leaving his seat and subsequently pulling you up to a stand.
“We’ll be back,” Remus said.
“No no no,” James said, “no, that’s not fair.”
“What’s not fair?” Remus asked.
“Mate, you’re the only one here who’s been with her, and it was last night. Keep it in your pants, we’re literally at breakfast,” James pouted.
“Can’t help it when she asks,” Remus smiled.
You blushed even harder, ducking your head behind Remus’s shoulder in embarrassment.
The table gave up on fighting Remus. James turned back around with a sigh and continued eating and chatting, as did everyone at the table except for Sirius, who stayed eyeing you until you were out of view.
Remus pulled you down a few hallways until he found a sufficiently quiet corridor with empty classrooms.
“Remus, what if someone-“
“They never use these classrooms,” Remus said, quietly clicking the door shut, “one too many hexes, I suppose.”
“But-“
“You look so good right now.”
Your protestations died in your throat as Remus walked closer and closer to you. You took a step backward, and your lower back collided into an empty desk.
“Why so quiet all of a sudden?” Remus teased.
“You make me nervous,” you admitted without thinking.
“Yeah? Nervous how?”
“I don’t know.”
“Yeah, you do.”
“I don’t know, like, I just- I keep thinking about yesterday,” you said.
Remus began to lightly run his fingers up the side of your body. “What about it?”
“You know what about.”
“I wanna hear you say it.”
“You’re joking.”
“Nope.”
You took a deep breath. “I keep thinking about how we had sex. Happy?”
“Not quite,” Remus answered, “I wanna know what exactly about us having sex you keep thinking about.”
“I don’t know, you, I guess?”
“Me, hm?”
“Yeah.”
“You know what I keep thinking about?”
You cocked your head to the side.
“You.”
“Me?”
“Mhm,” Remus continued, “you underneath me, to be specific.”
As he spoke, Remus began to slowly pull your skirt up to your waist, causing your breathing to hitch in your throat.
“Well well well, is this all for me?”
Remus ran a finger over your underwear but still between your folds, the wetness already having soaked through the fabric, leaving an evident stain.
“Yes,” you admitted.
Remus removed his hand, instead wrapping his arms around the backs of your legs, causing you to gasp as you jumped upward. Remus moved you backward, and your ass hit the desk behind you. He took residence standing between your legs, which in turn made your skirt stay bunched up at your waist.
“Can I try something?” Remus asked.
“What do you wanna try?” you asked, your breathing heavy in anticipation from Remus’s close proximity.
“You.”
“Me what?”
“I wanna try you.”
You furrowed your brows in confusion. “You already did, we already had sex. I’m confused.”
Remus chuckled. “No, baby, I wanna taste you.”
“Oh.”
“That okay?”
“I don’t really know what that entails, but yeah.”
“You know you can always just tell me to stop, right?” Remus checked.
“Yes.”
Remus nodded at your response and sunk to his knees, looking up at you as he pushed your underwear to the side.
“What if-“
“Don’t be self conscious baby, you’re beautiful,” Remus eased your nerves, and you took a deep breath as you forced your muscles to relax.
Remus stuck his tongue out and tasted between your folds, moving slowly and gentle so as not to overstimulate you too early, and you shuddered at the contact.
Remus maintained eye contact as you watched him move his tongue up and down, tasting your evident wetness. You moaned when he flicked his tongue faster directly on your clit.
Your body jolted, and Remus made a sound of satisfaction as he continued his work on your clit, alternating between flicking you with his tongue and sucking and kissing.
“Fuck,” you sighed.
Remus reached a hand up to grab yours, intertwining your fingers with his to help steady you in a gesture of intimacy that you really appreciated.
You squeezed his hand as you became a whiny, submissive mess.
Remus’s other hand gripped the flesh of your ass that was accessible, pushing you closer to him and increasing the intensity of your pleasure.
You threw your head back, and your hand instinctively went to the back of Remus’s head, lightly pulling the strands of his hair.
You snapped out of your daze for a moment and quickly removed your hand, self conscious about the action made while you were lost in pleasure.
Remus pulled away from you. “Go for it, baby, don’t hold back.”
You knew he was intentionally calling you baby because you mentioned yesterday that you liked it, and the remembrance was only adding to your arousal.
You swallowed your self consciousness and resumed playing with Remus’s hair. He moaned into you at the feeling, clearly happy about it.
“Shit, Rem-“
Remus moved his mouth faster, desperately trying to pull an orgasm from you.
“Rem- Remmy-“
Remus pulled away for a brief moment to say, “feels so good you’re callin me nicknames now, huh?”
“S-sorry,” you stuttered.
“Uh uh, you better keep moaning little nicknames for me like that.”
You simply moaned in response, losing strength to stay sitting up as you began to lightly grind your hips against Remus’s face, so lost in pleasure you didn’t care about being embarrassed anymore.
Remus slapped the outside of your thigh, looking up at you. He decided to test the waters with you. “I said keep moaning my fucking name.”
You liked the dominance. “Yes, Remmy.”
“Good girl,” he praised, reconnecting his mouth to you and still focusing on your clit, deciding to save anything else for another time, as this was your first time doing this, and he wanted to take it slow. He knew not many of the others would.
You threw your head back, anchoring yourself with your hand on Remus’s head as your moans became louder and louder.
Remus let go of your hand and held your waist, now completely gripping your hips as he pushed you as close to him as he could.
Your high was approaching quickly, and your moans were becoming high pitched and weak.
“I’m, it’s- Remmy, I-“
Remus didn’t pull away, but instead looked up at you to watch your face as you came.
You threw your head back instinctively, your chest rapidly rising and falling as your orgasm washed over you.
Remus stayed between your legs to lap up any and all wetness, and only stood when he was satisfied.
You were trying hard to catch your breath, and Remus smiled at you. “Feel good?”
You smiled in return. “Fuck.”
Remus kissed you, and you could taste yourself on his lips.
“I’m not even hungry for breakfast anymore,” Remus joked.
────── ☾ ──────
All you could think about was Remus.
You felt like a woman possessed. You couldn’t focus in lectures because all you could think of was Remus’s head between your legs. How he sounded when he moaned into you. The way he called you baby when he fucked you. The way he runs his fingers through his messy hair. You were enamored, and you were becoming horny much more frequently than you ever imagined.
Even when you were with the group, you stayed attached to Remus. You always sat with your thigh against his, and even sometimes stood holding his arm. You were obsessed, and the group noticed.
You had just joined, and you were already completely infatuated with just one of them, and that concerned the group, so they decided to meet without you, something they rarely did, but found necessary.
“She’s absolutely obsessed with you, mate.”
Remus flicked embers from his cigarette into the ashtray in the center of the courtyard. “I don’t know what to tell you. I like her, if she wants me, I’m not gonna say no. It’s her choice who she wants.”
“Come on, guys, go easy on Y/N,” Lily said, “every girl gets a little obsessed with their first time. It’s the same way I was with James.”
“If that ain’t the truth,” James said, raising his bottle of firewhiskey.
Sirius took the opportunity to stand up and grab the raised bottle, and he downed the remainder of its contents in an instant.
“Someone else needs to fuck her,” Mary chimed in, “simple as that.”
“She’ll get there, why rush her?” Remus defended.
“Oh shut up mate, you just like having someone want you so bad,” James argued.
Remus shrugged before taking another drag of his cigarette, not completely disagreeing with James’s sentiment.
Sirius cleared his throat, and the attention of the room turned to him. In an annoyed tone, he spoke, “someone go and fuck her, then.”
“Why don’t you go find her?” Dorcas suggested to Sirius.
“Maybe I will.”
“No, no, I got this,” James said, standing up and straightening his shirt, “I know my way to the Hufflepuff common room.”
“She’s not in the common room, she’s in potions,” Sirius said.
“What, you know her schedule now?”
Sirius shrugged and rested his elbows on his knees, the wind knocking a few strands of hair in front of his face.
James threw his hands in the air. “I don’t know where the Hufflepuff potions classroom is, what do you want me to do? Fuck.”
“Just find her later. It’s not like she’s gonna fuck you in a classroom anyways,” Dorcas said.
Remus scoffed to himself, not realizing it was loud enough for the group to hear. Everyone’s gaze shot toward him.
“Sorry,” Remus smiled, clearly not sorry at all.
“Oh come on,” James said, throwing his hands up in the air, “I don’t even have a shot.”
“You’ll be fine, mate, just try manhandling her a little,” Remus said casually.
“Yeah?”
“She seemed to like the little bit I did when I tried,” Remus revealed.
By the time classes were over, you were nowhere to be seen. You hadn’t had the need to walk past the courtyard at all, but that didn’t mean James gave up. Instead, he just walked around the Hufflepuff hallways until he saw you.
“Hey Y/N!” he exclaimed when he finally caught your eye.
“Hey, James, what are you doing down here?” you said, approaching the common room door.
“Do you guys get to snatch snacks?” he asked, his inner monologue taking over as he noticed the Hufflepuff common room was extremely close to the kitchens.
“You came down here because you wanted a snack?” you asked, turning to face him.
“I guess you could say that,” he responded.
“What does that mean?”
“Shouldn’t you know now? I mean, I thought Remus took care of teaching you that already,” James smirked.
You blushed and bowed your head briefly. “He’s quick to talk, that one.”
“Why have you been so attached to him?” James asked.
You processed the question before speaking. “I don’t know, I guess I didn’t realize I had been. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, angel, no worries,” James said, stepping closer and closer to you, “I think I can help that.”
“Yeah?” you played along, “how?”
“Follow me and you’ll find out.”
You smiled as you took James’s hand, your other hand holding your books to your chest as you mindlessly followed James’s lead. You watched the muscles in his arm flex as he held onto your hand, and you felt yourself growing excited.
You were becoming attached to Remus, and you knew you had to get that out of your system. Besides, James was hot, and you were now perpetually horny, so why not indulge in a little fun?
────── ☾ ──────
“I am not going in there.”
James sighed. “C’mon, it really isn’t as scary as it looks. Promise.”
“No no, I think it is as scary as it looks,” you protested, “I’ve heard horror stories about this place, James. It’s called the Shrieking Shack for a reason.”
“Would you just trust me?” James said.
“In theory,” you responded, but still swallowed your fears and let him direct you toward the dilapidated building.
You were surprised by its contents. The interior was decorated somewhat cozy, and a large bed sat in the corner across from a warm fireplace. Lily sat on a couch facing the flames, reading for pleasure in her solitude.
“Hey, Lil, I’m sorry, we didn’t know you were out here,” James said when he spotted her.
“No worries,” Lily said, standing, “I can get going, and leave you two alone.”
She started to exit the room, but the moment she walked past James, he called out to her. “Wait. Stay.”
You turned to James, then to Lily, then back to James again. Maybe he didn’t bring you here to fuck. Maybe he really just wanted to hang out.
“Yeah? Is that alright with you, Y/N?” Lily asked.
Your gaze continued to shift between James and Lily. “I think I’m confused.”
James took a step closer to you, shifting his body behind you as he swept your hair off of one shoulder. He leaned toward your ear, whispering, “No, I don’t think you are.”
He then lightly kissed your neck, momentarily sucking on a few sensitive spots. You felt yourself lose control as your head fell backwards and your eyes closed. His lips felt like heaven against your skin.
You forgot Lily was in the room until you felt her presence in front of you. You opened your eyes but they almost instantly shut again as Lily connected her lips to yours. Your mouths moved in sync as you let yourself melt into their touches.
James’s hands ran down your sides, pushing down the garments on your lower body. You shivered as the cool air hit your now bare skin.
“Here, c’mere,” James said, directing you over to the space in between the couch and the fireplace. “Better?”
“Mhm,” you vocalized.
James studied you for a moment. He remembered what Remus has said earlier about manhandling you, and decided to take the chance. He stood in front of you and grabbed your throat, lightly squeezing his fingers as he pulled your body closer to his, your face mere inches from his. “You gonna be good?” he whispered.
“Yes,” you answered.
“Good girl,” he praised, his unoccupied hand connecting to your clit, immediately rubbing steady circles on you as he studied your expression.
Your mouth opened and you tried to moan, but the pressure around your throat meant every noise came out as a shaky breath or a small, strangled moan.
James’s eyes never left yours as your brows furrowed and you tried to shift your weight, but his grip on you was firm. He studied exactly how your features shifted and contorted when he moved fast or hit a particularly good spot, and he could feel a straining in his jeans.
Your arousal grew each time you tried to move away but couldn’t. James was certainly the most muscular of any of the group, and he worked out the most, almost by default from playing Quidditch. You were happy he was manhandling you: he was perfect for it.
James continued to touch you as you struggled to remain standing, but luckily, Lily came to your aid, holding your hips from behind.
“Aweh, Jamesie, I think she’s gonna fall if you let her go,” Lily taunted.
James listened to Lily, then directed his attention back to you. “Open your eyes,” he demanded, and you did just that, “if you fall, it better be to your knees.”
You nodded your head up and down as much as you could with James’s grip on you, and he immediately let go of your throat. You felt your knees buckle, and despite the fact that you probably could have stood, you sunk to your knees in front of James.
He smiled wickedly as he unbuttoned his jeans and pushed them down, standing in front of you in his boxers once his shirt was removed.
You looked up at him and swallowed hard, turned on but also nervous.
“I’ve never done this before,” you reminded him, “I don’t think it’ll be good.”
“You don’t have to do it, angel,” James said, fearing he was pressuring you.
“I want to,” you admitted, “I just- I-“
“Want me to talk you through it?”
“You don’t have to- I just- I don’t know-“
James sank down to your level, kneeling on the floor in front of you and taking your hands in his. “If you don’t wanna do this, you tell me whenever. Otherwise, don’t be embarrassed. I’ll walk you through it. We stop when you want. Don’t worry about it being bad, baby, that pretty mouth around my cock couldn’t possibly be bad. Lily can help, too. She’s got it down to a science. Okay?”
You blushed and dropped your head to hide it. James maneuvered his own boxers off, before standing up again, his semi-hard cock almost level with your face.
“You wanna watch what I do first?” Lily suggested, and you immediately nodded. You would feel a lot more comfortable seeing her do it first, partially so you could have a reference, but partially because you couldn’t stand the thought of doing it in front of Lily without Lily having done anything sexual in front of you first.
Lily shuffled on her knees toward James, who smiled down at her. She took James’s cock in her hand and pointed the tip directly outward.
“Boys like it when you work ‘em up first, especially this one,” Lily smiled.
Lily kept James’s cock steady as she licked a stripe from the base to the tip, circling her tongue around the tip before pulling away to speak again.
“Since it’s your first time, don’t rush it,” she said, “go nice and slow and let yourself adjust. Like this.”
Lily wrapped her mouth around James’s cock, and he immediately threw his head back and let out a moan. She slowly sunk her head further and further down.
James’s hand instinctively found it’s way to the back of Lily’s head, causing Lily to pull away with a pop. “She can’t see if your arm is in the way, Jamie!”
“Fuck, sorry,” James breathed out, clearly worked up from even one small moment.
“The little moans mean he likes it,” Lily said, “just watch your teeth. Try to think about hollowing out your cheeks.”
You nodded and watched as Lily reconnected her mouth to James’s cock. He clenched his hands into fists to stop himself from holding her head against him, and you could tell he was fighting to keep his resolve. Lily moved her head as far down as she could go, then almost entirely off, then back down again. She kept a steady pace, and eventually James looked down at her, and Lily forced her eyes open to look back at him.
“Fuck, we love it when you fucking look at us,” James said, talking to you, but looking at Lily.
Lily continued to suck him off for a few moments before disconnecting herself from him again, shifting backwards on her knees to make room for you.
You made yourself comfortable as you took a deep breath. You looked up at James, and he nearly combusted when he made eye contact with you. “Shit, baby, don’t look at me like that.”
“Will you tell me if anything is uncomfortable?” you asked.
The innocence coating your voice was driving James crazy, and he was growing more and more eager by the second. “Shit, yes, I promise.”
You copied Lily’s initial actions, wrapping your hand around the base of his cock as you wrapped your lips around his tip. You remembered what Lily said about teeth, and you did your best to avoid having them touch James. You moved your lips as far down James’s shaft as you could before you felt his tip his the back of your throat, causing you to gag around him and pull away.
“It’s okay, that’s okay! That’s totally normal,” Lily said, immediately putting her hand on your back to comfort you, “just go a little less far this time.”
You wrapped your lips around James again, this time only sinking down as far as you could without his cock hitting the back of your throat. You slowly pulled back and then pushed in again, trying to gage how it feels to move. You focused on keeping your cheeks hollowed out.
After a few tries, you got your jaw in a comfortable position. You looked up at James, who was fighting for his life to keep it together. He was gripping Lily’s hand in his own, and his other hand was in front of his face, covering his own mouth.
You pulled away from James. “Are you okay?” you asked.
“Yeah, baby, just didn’t wanna make a noise and stress you out.”
“Am I doing okay?”
“You’re doing so good for me, baby.”
You gave him a small smile before sinking back onto his length. You found your comfortable position again, and began to move more and more, gradually increasing your speed as you adjusted.
“Atta girl,” Lily said.
You braced yourself by placing your palms on his thighs, allowing yourself to more easily get closer and closer to him.
As time went on, James lost himself in the pleasure, and eventually completely forgot that this was your first time, and that he was supposed to be gentle.
His eyes were closed and his head was thrown back as he placed his hand on the back of your head, forcing you closer to him.
You tried your best to focus on keeping your cheeks hollow, and realized you should breathe through your nose. You knew you could stop James at any time, but you didn’t really want to. You relished in the knowledge that your mouth around him felt so good that he lost control.
James began to buck his hips forward, causing you to still your head as he took over. He fucked your mouth fast, chasing his high as you tried your best to breathe and stay still.
Lily grabbed your shoulders and pulled you away from him. James snapped out of his trance, and looked down to you concerned.
“Shit, angel, are you alright?” he asked, leaning down and running a thumb over your cheek.
You nodded yes as you caught your breath.
You turned to Lily, who said, “it’s no fun if he comes already.”
James got down to your level, kneeling on the floor as he begged, “seven hells, Y/N, please let us fuck you.”
You leaned toward James and gently kissed him, and he immediately reciprocated, running his fingers through your hair and deepening the kiss.
He pulled you against his body as he leaned backward, straightening his legs until he was laying flat against the floor, holding your body against his while still kissing you.
“Flip around,” he said.
You gave him a confused look, but instead of explaining, he simply repeated, “flip the fuck around.”
You awkwardly shifted your body around until your back was to James. You were nervous to put the pressure of your body against his chest, so you knelt on the floor between his legs, unsure of what to do.
You luckily didn’t have to ask. James leaned upward and wrapped his arms around your body, pulling your back flush against his chest as he laid back down against the rug.
“Legs on either side of me, angel,” he said, and you moved your knees to either side of his waist.
Even before you had sex, you had some understanding of how it worked, but this was all new for you. You listened to any instruction James gave you without question, because it wasn’t like you knew what you were doing anyway.
James unwrapped his arms from your body and ran his fingers over your arms before pulling them backwards, your head nearly knocking back into his head from surprise as he positioned your arms on either side of his head, allowing you to hold yourself up.
“You okay?” he checked in once he had you in the position he wanted.
“Mhm,” you responded.
He gripped your hips, his strength overwhelming you as he lifted your hips with ease. You helped him, lifting your knees until you felt him stop.
James gave his cock a few fast strokes before he positioned himself at your entrance. He pushed your hips down, trying to be slow for your sake, but somewhat failing. When you were all the way sat down, you could hear James’s head hit the floor as he threw it back.
He continued to move your hips up and down, relishing in the pleasure. After a few thrusts, he choked out, “Lil?”
“Already here,” she said, her voice sultry.
Your eyes were squeezed shut, but when you heard her voice, you snapped out of your daze to see she was right between your legs.
“Hi,” you squeaked out.
“Hi,” she responded.
She straightened her back until her lips were mere inches away from yours. She waited until you cried out at a sharp thrust of James’s hips to kiss you. She wrapped her fingers in your hair to keep your head in place, her tongue finding it’s way into your mouth as you moaned.
When she pulled away, she kept eye contact, and began to move down your body. When she was back in between your legs, you nodded to her, granting her permission.
Lily’s tongue began to taste between your folds. James’s thrusts we’re growing hard, his hips now moving more than yours, so Lily didn’t have to do much work.
Her tongue flicked against you as your hips moved up and down, the added pleasure causing your arousal to build rapidly.
She gazed up at you, moving her mouth closer to you so she could suck at your clit as you watched her.
“Fuck, I can’t-“ you moaned.
James released one of your hips and gripped your hair, forcing your head to tilt downward and watch Lily.
Lily sucked and licked at your clit, focusing on circling your clit with her tongue, knowing it would help drive you over the edge.
“Fuck, c’mere,” James nearly growled, knocking your arms and holding your back against his chest, your head falling beside his.
He began to fuck into you even harder, hitting your sweet spot with every vicious thrust. The stretched out position allowed Lily more access to your core, and she gently pawed at James’s balls as she continued to taste you.
While everything about the moment was heated, what sent you over the edge was James’s hold on you. His muscular arms held you against him so effortlessly, but so strong that you couldn’t dare to move if you wanted to. You felt so close to him, and the thought did you in.
“I’m com-“ you couldn’t even finish the sentence before your high crashed over you.
James immediately pulled you up and off of him and allowed Lily to taste your juices, sucking at your entrance until you had calmed down and were clean. As she did so, James used one hand to hold his cock against your thigh, fucking it until he came, spilling his seed on your thigh and hip.
Lily leaned over to lick up the come all over you, making sure you were clean before she backed away.
You dropped your hips to the floor, exhaustion overwhelming you as James shifted backward and allowed you to rest your head on his legs.
Naked and fucked out, James began to run his fingers through your sweat soaked hair. You stayed there for a moment, while Lily reclothed herself and organized her books, before you asked, “how long have you guys been coming here?”
“Years,” James answered, “Remus started coming here during his transitions, and the rest of us would come help him out. It kinda became our place.”
You tilted your head to look up at James. “His what?”
“His transitions. Transformations. Whatever.”
“Transformations?”
“Remus is a werewolf, honey,” Lily chimed in, “there’s no way you couldn’t have known that.”
You did not know that.
“Sirius can turn into a dog,” James blurted out.
“A what?”
“You have so much to learn,” James teased.
“A dog? Like a dog? Like a literal dog?”
“Mhm,” James smiled, “pretty cute dog, too. Big fluffy black thing. Can be kinda scary. He doesn’t really talk about it.”
“What can you turn into?” you looked up to James.
“Baby, you just saw the animal I can be.”
“Oh be honest with her, James,” Lily said, “that wasn’t even the half of it.”

CW: werewolf prejudice, making fun of possible birth defects due to Pureblood's being terribly inbred, swearing
Remus felt that generally, he was a very understanding person. And not just in a compassionate way, but also in a sense that he just understands a lot of things.
He understands Sirius’ need to defy his family whilst simultaneously looking after his brother as if his life depended on it.
He understands James’ need to make sure everyone around him feels as loved as humanly possible, even if it’s at his own expense.
He understands that Gryffindor’s hate Slytherin’s, but he also understands that not all Slytherin’s are horrible, prejudiced racists.
He understands everyone makes fun of Hufflepuffs for being soft and emotional, but he also understands that Hufflepuffs can be some of the most heartless, ruthless friends you can have.
What Remus has had a hard time understanding, however, was his boyfriends’ sudden interest in you.
Remus could admit that you were quite attractive, but you were also sort of…terrifying?
“What have you boys done?” Lily murmured in quiet horror (quiet awe if you asked James).
“We pranked Slytherin!” Sirius said jovially, as if Lily had somehow missed that key piece of information.
“I can see that, Sirius.” She said like one might speak to a small child who was quite dumb. “But on portrait day?”
Sirius smiled smugly as he watched Slytherin’s enter the Great Hall for their school portraits. As they passed through the door, they were unknowingly walking under a charmed mistletoe (which was very difficult to find this time of year, thanks James very much) which turned their green and silver robes and ties to a beautiful red and gold.
The best part is some students still hadn’t noticed yet, and another amazing part was that those who had noticed couldn’t figure out how to turn it back.
“Mr. Black, Mr. Potter, Mr. Pettigrew, and Mr. Lupin. I suppose the four of you have no idea who may be behind this prank?” Professor McGonagall challenged as she looked down her nose at them sitting at the Gryffindor table.
Sirius smirked as he responded “Why, not a clue Minnie. But I’ll keep my eye out and let you know if I see any mischief makers.”
McGonagall let out a long suffering sigh as she took five points from Gryffindor for improper address of a professor.
“You rotten dugbogs.” Remus heard you screech before he saw you. He had the good sense to cringe as you stormed up to their table whilst Sirius and James grinned enthusiastically.
“Why hello Y/N, my beautiful angel.” James greeted as Sirius let out a sultry “Don’t you just look smashing in red.” Accompanied by a wink.
“I don’t know what you sods have done, and quite frankly, I don’t care about the rest of them; but you will fix this.” You spat angrily gesturing to your faux Gryffindor uniform.
“But that would be such a crime, dollface.” Sirius lamented.
“You can’t expect us to mess with perfection.” James added.
You shot your hand out and grabbed James’ collar, pulling his face to yours until your noses were nearly touching.
“I swear to Salazar himself, Potter, if you do not change my robes back, I will cut your dick off and charm it to your forehead so you walk around looking like a limp-dick unicorn. Change. It. Back.”
Your voice was low and threatening, and Peter actually gulped as he hid behind Remus. But looking at James’ face pressed up to yours, you would have thought you had just serenaded him with the greatest love song known to man.
“You have such beautiful eyes.” He murmured in awe. Remus was certain he could see steam forming behind said beautiful eyes, but before it could shoot out of your ears, Sirius came to your rescue.
“Very right, Prongs. She does have beautiful eyes. Unfortunately, I believe her usual green does compliment them better than the red.” Sirius said lasciviously as he cast the counter charm to return your robes to their rightful colour.
You looked down at your form before looking back at the boys skeptically. You seemed only then to realize you were still holding onto James’ collar like a vice and dropped it. Remus almost chuckled at the look of loss that crossed James’ face.
“Right.” You said and cleared your throat, backing away from them as if you weren't fully trusting what just happened. “Thank you.”
Sirius’ head actually reared back in surprise at your thanks and James beamed.
“Anytime angel, truly.”
James’ pet name seemed to snap you out of whatever trance you’d been in as you narrowed your eyes at him. “Don’t call me that.”
“Terribly sorry, my love.” He relented.
You groaned in exasperation and carried on towards the Slytherin table.
“Isn’t she lovely?” James whispered in awe, eyes still glued to your form as you bodily shoved Evan Rosier out of what Remus could only assume you had dubbed as your seat at the Slytherin table and sat down.
“Try bloody terrifying.” Peter shivered in horror as he finally extricated himself from behind Remus.
“Oi! Don’t talk about our future missus that way, Wormy.” Sirius squawked and swatted at the poor sod with his copy of the Daily Prophet.
“Is he wrong, though?” Remus asked as he let out his own breath of relief.
“Don ‘t worry moons,” James murmured into Remus’ cheek as he pressed his nose into the werewolf’s hair line. “She’ll win you over soon.”
Remus wasn’t so sure.
You were the only Slytherin photographed in proper uniform that day.
Tumblr media
A few weeks later found Remus sitting horrifyingly uncomfortable in Defense Against the Dark Arts as they moved on to the unit featuring Werewolves.
James sat on his right, and though the shaking of his knee under the table gave away his nerves, he spent the entire class rubbing soothing circles along the back of Remus’ hand with his thumb.
Sirius, sitting on Remus’ left, was incredibly stiff and clearly poised to fight if given the chance which did nothing to ease Remus’ discomfort. It also didn’t help that they shared this period with the 6th and 7th year Slytherin’s.
He just wanted this day to be over.
“Why are we even talking about this?” Mulciber sneered, interrupting the professor as they discussed elements of the Wolfsbane potion.
“What is your question, Mr. Mulciber?” The professor drawled out in a bored tone.
“Why bother discussing werewolves? The lot of them should be culled anyway; euthanize them on site for all I care.” He spat, earning snickers from Avery, Goyle, and Snape.
Sirius sucked in a breath in preparation of a verbal (and possibly physical, should he be so lucky) spar when Remus dug his nails into Sirius’ thigh. “Please, Pads.” He begged quietly; voice taught with emotions.
Sirius let out a pained sigh and leaned back further into his chair.
“Funny, Mulciber.” A bored tone commented, “I was just thinking the same about you and your lot.”
Remus, James, and Sirius all turned to see the majority of the eyes in the room already on you, though you never bothered lifting your head from your textbook.
“Care to repeat that, L/N?” Mulciber sneered, sitting up in his chair as if ready to lunge at you if necessary.
You lifted your bored gaze from your book and stared at him head on. “Do I need to repeat myself, Mulciber? Mummy and daddy kept it too close in the family tree, huh?” You murmured in faux sympathy. “I was just thinking, most of the Sacred Twenty-Eight ought to be culled. That would save the wizarding world a whole lot of trouble.”
“How dare you compare me to some filthy half-breed. My family is royalty compared to those disgusting creatures.” Avery shouted.
“The only one acting like a disgusting creature here is the likes of you tossers.” You shouted back.
“Alright.” The professor tried (not very hard, albeit) to quell the quickly spiralling discussion.
“I could hardly look at myself in a mirror if I’d been tainted with a curse like lycanthropy.” Snape sneered, pointedly facing the Marauders across the room. Sirius burned with shame and protectiveness, being the reason Snape knew Remus’ secret and the overwhelming need to defend his lover. Remus took that moment to dig his nails into Sirius' thigh again, pinning him to his seat.
“Are you sure, Snape? Are you sure you wouldn’t rather live a life with lycanthropy than have to look at that mug of yours in the mirror every day.” You drawled.
“You insolent little bitch.”
“Hey!” James finally shouted from across the room, far more stern than Remus can ever remember seeing the boy. But you carried on, completely undeterred.
“I’d bet ten thousand galleons that not one werewolf ever asked to be a werewolf, yet you wake up each and every morning actively choosing to be the ugliest, most hateful, vile, disgusting beasts known to mankind. That is what is despicable. That is what should be euthanized on site.” Your voice grew louder and louder with each word until you were standing behind your desk and punctuating each word with a slam of your fist against the table in front of you.
“Alright, that’s enough.” The professor finally called; tone booming across the lecture hall intoning no nonsense.
“Mr. Mulciber, Mr. Snape, and Miss. L/N. Detention with me this evening.”
The Slytherin boys all scoffed and cursed under their breath whilst you offered a bored shrug of your shoulders, returning to your textbook as though this was just a run of the mill day for you.
The boys had been absolutely right; you just won over the affections of one Remus John Lupin.

Wrapped up in you

Remus Lupin x reader
Summary: you look good and Remus is a love sick puppy
Note: pre established relationship. A bit of Jily English is not my first languaje!
Warnings: not +18 but suggestive content
Words: 1,9K
You looked good—really good. After what felt like ages of trying on clothes, nothing had felt quite right for the party at the Ravenclaw common room. But this… Merlin, you felt like the hottest person at Hogwarts
“Are you trying to kill poor Remus? Because with that outfit, you might actually do it” Lily teased, grinning as she looked you up and down. You rolled your eyes, though a satisfied smile played on your lips as you took one last look in the mirror.
Remus and you had started dating not so long ago, one month, two weeks and three days to be exactly. After years of crushing on your best friend, you had finally gotten together, thanks mostly to James and Lily who were desperate to have double dates with someone.
“You look good too, Lils” you replied smiling to the redhead “Pretty sure James is going to be drooling across the common room” you teased slightly.
She chuckled, giving you a playful nudge before opening the door. You followed her down the stairs to meet up with the Marauders in the common room, where the four of you had planned to head to the party together. As you descended, you could already hear their laughter echoing up the stairs. When you stepped into the common room, all four boys turned to look at you both.
“Lily Evans,” James announced, rising dramatically, “I vow to cherish you until the end of time because, somehow, you get even more beautiful every day.” He walked over to Lily, giving her a soft kiss.
Sirius came over with a teasing grin, throwing an arm around your shoulders. “Didn’t know you could clean up this well.”
“Shut up,” you laughed, playfully nudging him off.
“I think you might’ve broken Moony” Peter said, smirking as he and Remus rose from the couch.
With a chuckle, you slipped out from Sirius’s arm and walked over to Remus, cheeks warming under his intense gaze. His mouth opened, closed, then opened again, like he couldn’t quite form words. You walked over, feeling the blush rise to your cheeks as he took in every detail—the way your hair framed your face, your lips, the curve of your smile. When you stopped in front of him, he wrapped his hands around your hips, giving a gentle squeeze as he took you in one more time.
“You’re…” he trailed off, his voice barely above a whisper as he finally managed to get out, “Merlin, you’re beautiful.”
Your eyes locked, and a shiver ran down your spine. “Thank you,” you murmured, a soft smile on your lips. The world faded for a moment, leaving just the two of you, wrapped in quiet admiration.
But Sirius, ever the charmer, had other plans. “Alright, lovebirds, are we going to crash this party, or are we just standing here staring all night?” he called, leaning against Peter with a grin.
You and Remus exchanged a chuckle, glancing at Lily and James, who were equally lost in each other. Everyone nodded, and with a shared laugh, you all began making your way out of the Gryffindor common room and toward Ravenclaw’s.
Peter and Sirius led the way, joking about how much they’d drink, while Lily and James giggled beside them, whispering in each other’s ears. You and Remus lingered behind, his hand in yours, his thumb lightly brushing over your knuckles. Every so often, you’d catch him looking over at you, his gaze warm and gentle.
“You’re quiet,” you murmured, giving his hand a light squeeze.
A flurry of thoughts raced through your mind. He’d called you beautiful, but… was he just being polite? Had he changed his mind about your outfit? Or maybe he had now realized that you actually looked bad? Had you tried to much? Was the outfit to much? Did he think you were too much? Did he-
Just as your thoughts started spiraling, he stopped, giving you a look so tender it silenced every worry. “You left me speechless, love,” he said softly, smiling in that way that made your heart stutter. “I still can’t believe we’re actually together.”
Your heart soared, and a wide smile spread across your face. This was what made you fall for him—those words, so simple yet so grounding.
“Well, you’d better believe it,” you said, a playful warmth in your tone. “I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.”
“As if I’d ever let you,” he teased, letting go of your hand to wrap his arm around your waist, pulling you closer. As you stepped into the Ravenclaw common room, you realized you hadn’t even noticed the journey there, entirely wrapped up in each other.
The Ravenclaw common room was packed, wall to wall with seventh-years letting loose. Tables had been pushed to the corners, each stacked with bottles of Firewhisky, Butterbeer, and a random assortment of Muggle liquors someone must have smuggled in. The music pounded through the room, drawing most people to the makeshift dance floor in the center, while the more daring couples could be spotted snogging in shadowed corners. A few others leaned by the large windows, passing around enchanted cigarettes, smoke curling lazily into the air.
Sirius caught your eye from across the room, his brows raised in that mischievous way of his, and you knew exactly what he was going to say—and that you were going to say yes.
“Ready for some shots, my dearest friend?” he asked, grin wide and challenging.
“As always.” You gave him a mock salute and turned to Remus, who was watching the exchange with a knowing smile.
You wrapped your arms around Remus’ shoulders, leaning in to press a soft, lingering kiss to his lips. There was a hint of something electric beneath it, that small thrill you always felt whenever you kissed him, no matter how many times you had. But you didn’t let it go too deep, not wanting to get lost in him when Sirius was already waiting.
“Careful, alright?” Remus murmured as you pulled back, his hand resting gently on your waist, his gaze warm but cautious.
“Yes,” you whispered with a reassuring smile, planting one last kiss on his cheek before turning back to Sirius. Remus chuckled softly, watching you go with a fond look.
The two of you weaved through the crowd, pausing here and there to greet friends and familiar faces, laughter and chatter filling the room around you. Ever since the start of the year, you and Sirius had developed a little ritual of sharing shots at every party. It had somehow strengthened your friendship, a unique bonding ritual that always left you laughing by the end of the night.
As you reached the table, Sirius uncorked a bottle of tequila with a flourish. “No jokes aside, you really do look stunning tonight,” he said, pouring two shots and giving you a genuine smile beneath all his teasing.
“Thanks, Siri,” you said, smiling back. “And I hate to boost your ego, but you’re looking pretty good yourself.”
“Oh, I know,” he smirked, flipping his hair back in a mock display of vanity. He handed you a shot glass, clinking it against yours before you both downed it in one swift gulp.
The tequila burned going down, and you both winced, making exaggerated faces of disgust. “Still awful, every time,” you laughed, shaking your head.
“Awful but worth it,” he shot back, pouring another round without waiting for you to protest. “To making terrible decisions we’ll laugh about tomorrow!”
“Cheers to that,” you replied, grinning as you took the second shot with him, already feeling the warmth of the alcohol spreading through you.
Out of the corner of your eye, you caught Remus watching you with a soft smile, leaning casually against the wall with James and Lily. Every now and then, he’d shoot a glance your way, and you could feel the quiet affection in his gaze, even from across the room. Sirius followed your gaze and nudged your arm.
“You two are love-sick puppies” he teased, filling two cups with Butterbeer and passing one over to you with a smirk.
“We are not,” you said, shooting him a playful glare but gratefully accepting the drink. “We’re just… happy.”
Sirius chuckled, rolling his eyes. “Sure, happy. At least now the rest of us don’t have to suffer watching you two make eyes at each other from across the room, pretending it’s not obvious.”
You laughed, taking a sip. Sirius was right—after all the glances, lingering touches, and awkward silences, everyone else had caught on long before you had. You had probably been more transparent than you’d thought.
“Alright, alright, so maybe we were both a little clueless,” you admitted with a laugh. “But we’re here now, aren’t we?”
Sirius shrugged with a grin. “I suppose I’ll allow it. But really, you’ve got Remus so wrapped up, it’s a miracle he can think straight.”
You grinned and roll your eyes playfully. At some point both of you decided that one shot wasn’t enough. You left the cup on the table and start taking more shots.
 “Finally!” James called, reaching out to pull you both into the mix with the rest of the students. How many shots had you have? You were not sure, but the party was going great.
Sirius threw you a wink and headed to join Peter, who was challenging some Ravenclaws to a drinking game, while you spotted Remus near the edge of the dance floor, looking a little shy but grinning at you. You stepped up to him with a smile, holding out your hand.
“Care to dance?” you asked, warmth in your voice.
Remus took your hand, pulling you close as the music picked up, and you swayed together, everything around you blurring into background noise. With his arms wrapped around you, it felt like there was no one else there. He looked down, brushing a few strands of hair from your face, his gaze soft.
“Stop looking at me like that” you slurred out, already drunk.
“I can´t when you look this hot, love” he muttered pulling you even closer to him and smirking. He had been smoking, you could smell the cigarettes when he talked.
You didn’t know what came over you. Maybe it was the alcohol coursing through your veins, or the confidence that had settled in after a few shots. Or maybe, it was just the way Remus looked at you—like you were the only person in the room, and Merlin, he was the most beautiful boy you’d ever seen. Whatever it was, you closed the small gap between you, pulling him into a kiss. This time, neither of you held back.
His hands tightened on your waist, fingers digging in like he was anchoring himself to you. You ran your hands through his hair, tugging him closer as the kiss deepened, turning messy and desperate.But you liked it. You liked him, you loved him.
After a breathless moment, you both pulled back, eyes glazed and cheeks flushed. Remus looked down at you, his lips parted as he tried to catch his breath, a dazed grin spreading across his face.
“Your dorm or mine?” you asked, breathlessly, voice filled with barely-contained excitement. There was no way you were staying at this party now.
“Mine,” he said without hesitation, his voice thick with the same intensity, his hand already tugging you towards the door. Neither of you spared a glance at your friends, who were far too drunk to notice your swift exit..
Don’t get him wrong—Remus absolutely adored your outfit. But he’d adore it even more once it was on the floor of his dorm.

Like my father pt 2 {burb}
Sirius x Potter!Reader
An: Already writing part 3. This can also be read as a solo.
CW: Amos Diggory slander, not proof read, use of y/n, bad dates, just cheesy fluff,
Summary: Reader has a bad date and Sirius comes to the rescue
Wc: 2451
Part one Part three
“I genuinely can't believe you let her walk out that door with him.” James groaned from the love seat where Lily had found a perch in his lap.
It was just a few months after your graduation when you informed your family and co. that you were seeing someone. Someone four years older, Amos Diggory. James protested, Sirius protested, even your mother did. Didn't stop you from accepting his date invitation. Nor did it stop you from leaving to go out to eat with him either.
Lily rolled her eyes, gently nudging James with her elbow. “Oh, come off it, James. She’s not a child anymore. She can handle herself.”
Sirius ran a hand through his hair, every part of him was tense, despite how he played it cool. “Drop it, mate.”
James sat up straighter, glaring at Sirius with indignation. “Drop it? Are you serious? She’s going out with a guy who’s practically an adult! What if he tries something? You know how boys are at that age!”
“Yeah, he's one of them.” Remus muttered and took a sip of his tea, earning a smack from Sirius.
“Stop talking like she isn't old enough to make her own choices.” Sirius huffed, crossing his arms defensively. “She was bound to start dating eventually.”
“Sure, but that doesn’t mean I can’t worry! I mean.” James pointed at Sirius and then back at himself. “He's older than us. I don't like it.”
“Maybe he is, but she’s not going to be alone with him in a dark alley, James. They’re going to a restaurant,” Remus chimed in, giving an amused sigh. “Let her live a bit.”
“This conversation isn't happening again.” Lily groaned as she stood up, grabbing James by his hand. “We're going to bed.”
James looked up at Lily and squeezed her hand with an affectionate, hell, lovesick look. “Yes ma'am.”
“Whipped.” Sirius huffed and Remus gave him a look.
“Goodnight all.” James waved before he pointed at Sirius with a glare. “You're gonna lose her, mate. Get your shit together.”
Sirius flipped him off before he sunk back into his bed. Sighing threw his nose and sank into the couch.
“You can't ignore it forever, Sirius.” Remus muttered and Sirius gave a scoff.
“Oh, but I can. And I will. She trusts me, she likes me, she thinks I'm just the greatest. I'm okay with that.” Sirius sighed and Remus gave a huff.
“Sirius, if she likes this guy-”
“Then I'll be happy for her.” He interrupted and ran his fingers a bit more purposefully through his hair. “She'll find someone worth her time.”
“Ugh. Is this how it felt talking to me?” Remus mumbled and Sirius rolled his eyes.
“I'm nothing, Remus. I don't have a damn thing to offer her. Not even my name means more than hers.”
Remus frowned. “That’s not true, and you know it. You’re a good guy, and you care about her. That counts for something. She wouldn't care about anything else.”
“Yeah, but it’s not enough,” Sirius grumbled, his voice laced with frustration. “I’m just her brother’s best friend. Some couch surfer her parents pitied. I’m not what she needs. Not when she could have someone like Amos. He’s got it all; looks, charm, and a future ahead of him. What do I have? A knack for getting into trouble and a penchant for living on the edge?”
“Sirius,” Remus interjected firmly, leaning forward. “You know she doesn't think like that. You haven't even given her the choice.”
“But she so often picks the wrong one.” He groaned and Remus shook his head.
“Just think about it, mate. I'm going to bed, you coming?”
“No I uhm…” Sirius glanced at the window and bit his cheek. “Think ima stay up for her. You know, to lock up after her.”
Remus slowly smiled and nodded, dismissing himself.
~~~
Sirius was shocked awake by the sound of the house phone ringing. He hissed and rubbed his eyes, having fallen asleep on the couch.
He groaned, the muffled ringing echoing through the house as he squinted at the clock on the wall. It was well past nine, when you should have been home. Who in their right mind was calling this late? He internally nagged himself for not being awake to welcome you home.
Reluctantly, he pushed himself up from the couch, his body stiff from the awkward position he had been in. As he shuffled toward the kitchen, he could hear the phone ringing again, the sound almost piercing his ears. He reached the phone just as it stopped, but before he could breathe a sigh of relief, it started ringing again.
“Ugh, bloody hell.” He muttered, picking up the receiver a bit more aggressively then needed. “Potter residence, what-”
“Sirius? Is that you?”
At the sound of your voice he almost toppled over. “Bambi? The hell? What are you still doing out?”
“Uhm.. dinner ran a bit later than I thought.” You whispered and you began to ring your fingers through the cord. “Would it.. would it be too much to ask you to come pick me up?”
Sirius thought about what you were asking for a moment, you didn't exactly sound thrilled to be there.
Not that he had to think about his answer for too long.
“Of course, bambi. Just stay put, yeah?”
“Okay, I’ll be here.” You sounded relieved, and Sirius could picture you visibly relaxing on the other end of the line.
He hung up the phone and quickly grabbed his jacket from the back of the couch, his mind racing with questions.
Sirius slipped on his shoes and headed for the door, he paused and quickly grabbed a pair of your sneakers before hurrying out.
It wasn't long before he got to the restaurant. Walking at night wasn't Sirius’s idea of fun, but the idea of you sounding so nervous and scared, he didn't even realize how fast he was moving. Some fancy place he was sure you'd never be found dead in. Even with your family’s status, you'd more often than not be found in diners.
He walked in, standing awkwardly at the waiting area. He peeked over the hostess stand, looking around the restraint curiously, only able to spot Amos sitting at a table alone. He furrowed his brow, before he felt a tug at his sleeve.
Turning around to see you, smiling up at him. The same smile you shot him when you headed out earlier tonight.
“Hey, little bug, what's going on?” His entire demeanor turned soft, and your smile faltered just a moment.
“I just wanna go home.” You whispered softly and Sirius took a glance back at the table, able to see Diggory looking around curiously.
He nodded and wrapped his arm around your waist, escorting you out of the restaurant to the grand stairs that lead to the sidewalk. He pointed down to the last few steps. “Sit.”
You huffed but did as you were told. Watching as he kneeled in front of you and took off your heels, replacing them with your sneakers.
You hugged yourself, the noodle strap dress doing very little to cut the cold. “Thank you, Siri…”
He sighed a bit at the nickname, standing up and taking your hand to help you up. “Did you call me all the way out here to ditch some boy?”
“Merlin, Siri, he's such a git.” You hissed and looped your arm around his. Clinging to what little warmth he gave off, as he began to lead you home.
Sirius raised an eyebrow, a mix of concern and curiosity flooding his thoughts. “What do you mean? What happened?”
You leaned into him a bit more, seeking comfort from the chill in the air and the whirlwind of emotions from the evening. Not used to the more casual treatment from men. Usually, being James Potter’s sister was a reminder enough for men to go above and beyond for your attention.
Given your brother was the boy who would dedicate his Quidditch Cup wins to his girlfriend or declare his love with obnoxious displays. Of course, {Y/N} Potter wouldn't entertain anything less. Seems Amos figured a pretty face was enough. “It started off fine, but then he just… I don’t know, he got too flirty and it felt really off. I thought I could handle it, but he just kept pushing. I felt uncomfortable, and I didn't want to make a scene.”
“Flirty how?” Sirius asked, keeping his voice low and steady, trying to gauge how serious the situation was. Debating on if it was worth running back in.
“He kept talking about how pretty I looked and how lucky he was to be with me.” You explained, your voice barely above a whisper. “At first, it was nice. I mean, you know I like being flattered.”
“What? No. I would have never guessed.” Sirius mocked and you hit his side with a huff.
“Shut up!” You laughed lightly, but the tension in your voice betrayed your discomfort. “But then he started getting too personal, asking if I was a good kisser and if I wanted to go back to his place after dinner. It just felt… wrong.”
Sirius felt a surge of anger course through him, and he tightened his grip on your arm as you walked together. “Did you tell him to back off?”
You nodded, looking down at your feet. “I did, but he just brushed it off and laughed. I didn’t want to cause a scene, so I just made up an excuse about needing to call you. It was the only way I could get out of there.”
“Good thinking.” He praised, his voice softening. “You did the right thing. You don’t have to put up with that kind of behavior from anyone, no matter how charming they might seem.”
You looked up at him, slowly your bottom lip began to quiver and he gave a surprised and panicked look. Before his expression slowly turned soft. “Oh, bambi.”
“I didn't like it.” You whispered, quickly lifting your free hand to dry your gathering tears. “It was my first date and I hated it.”
“Hey, hey.” He whispered and stopped walking. Lifting his hand to shoo away your own, using his thumb to dry your tears. “Hey, none of that, it wasn't your fault.”
“He was so gross.” You whined out and he tutted, pulling away as you took a shaky breath. “And his cologne smells awful.”
Sirius gave a startled chuckle and you slowly smiled up at him. “Smelt like a mix of cheap aftershave and desperation.” You added, a hint of laughter breaking through your earlier distress. He gave a louder laugh as he began to lead you back down the street.
“How cruel of you.” He chuckled and you shook your head, giving a small sniff. “How cruel of me? How cruel of him! I had to smell it all night, I'm the victim here.”
Sirius couldn’t help but smile at your determination to find humor in the situation despite how upset you had been moments earlier. “You’re absolutely right.”
You giggled, the sound warming Sirius’s heart. It was nice to see you lightening up, even if just a little. “I mean, really, if you’re going to wear something that strong, at least make sure it doesn’t smell like it came from the bargain bin. My dad has better smelling cologne and he actually gets it from the bargain bin.”
He shook his head. “Do you even know cologne? Is that even on your radar?”
“Well, no but.. I like my dads. And yours.” You hummed and leaned in closer, taking a small whiff of him before you scrunched up your nose. “Not this one. The green bottle.”
Sirius raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk creeping onto his face. “The one I wore at Hogwarts?”
You laughed, your tension easing. “Definitely. It smells way better than what that git was wearing. You’d have all the ladies swooning.”
“Ah, but I’m not trying to swoon anyone tonight.” He hummed, his tone suddenly more serious as he looked down at you. “I’m just focused on getting you home safe.”
You met his gaze, a mix of gratitude and warmth filling your chest. “I appreciate that, Sirius. It means a lot to me.”
“Course. Next time you need a date, you just let me know, and I’ll screen them first,” Sirius offered, half-joking but also completely serious. “I’ll make sure they meet the ‘Sirius Standard.’”
You laughed. “The Sirius Standard? Oh please, I know how you treat your girls.”
“Not my girls. They aren't my girls.” He chuckled and you rolled your eyes.
“You don't have girls anymore? You've changed, Black.”
“Who needs girls when I got you to look after? Too much work if you ask me.” He huffed and you slowly smiled, fiddling with the threads of his warn jacket.
You guys eased into a calm silence. It wasn't long until you were home, and he was lifting up his keys and kneeling down to take off your shoe. You gave a sleepy yawn, looking down as he stood infront of you.
He did a double take, noticing how you chewed your lip.
“What's on your mind, bambi?”
“Just.. boys. Is it weird, Siri? That I haven't dated yet?”
“What? Doll, is that why you went out with him?”
“... maybe. Just.. James got to me the other day. I haven't dated anyone, that can't be normal.”
He cooed and walked over to you, “It's not, but it's special. You know what you want. That's a good thing.”
You looked up at him, your expression thoughtful. “You really think so?”
“Absolutely.” He affirmed confidently. “You’re not going to settle for just anyone. You’ll wait for someone who makes you feel safe and happy. That’s way more important than just dating for the sake of it.”
You smiled softly. “Thanks, Sirius. You always know how to make me feel better.”
“That's my job, isn't it?” He grinned back at you, before lifting up his arms. “Come ‘er.”
You giggled and hurried over to him, slipping your arms around his waist and nuzzling your face into his chest. He wrapped his arms around you and held you close, giving you a tender kiss on your forehead.
“Don't go rushing into things, bams. You've got a lot of years to find someone.” He whispered against your hair and you absolutely melted into him. Not noticing as the stairs from the second floor creaked and James peaked down to look at Sirius. Giving him a smile and hurrying back upstairs.
“Siri?”
“Yeah?”
“Can we watch a movie tonight?”
“Is it Grease?”
“... maybe.”
Book Club
James Potter x gn!reader (also pretty house neutral too)
1.7k words
cw: fluff
“Where you off to, Prongs?” Remus asks as James suddenly gets up from his spot on the common room couch and headed for the portrait hole.
“Library.”
Remus tilts his head. “What for?”
“Book club.”
Lily giggles from a table nearby. Sirius and Peter sport confused looks and Remus looks simply unconvinced.
“You’re in a book club?” Lily asks. Her amusement is obvious in her voice.
“Yeah?”
“I don’t believe you,” Sirius says with a wide crooked grin on his face. He has suspicions. “Where you really off to?”
“The library, I swear,” James answers.
“As a punish for McGonagall or something, yeah?” Peter asks.
“No. Because I want to.”
They all stare at James with varying degrees of confusion and disbelief so James pulls out the assigned book from his bag. He branishes it for them to see.
“Huh,” Sirius says. “Have fun, I guess.”
That had been none of his suspicions. The group watches in silence as James leaves the common room. None of them quite believed that he had joined a book club on his own accord. But he had.
He had specifically asked if he could join. You had turned toward him from the small group of people you had been talking with. James thought his heart stopped beating when you smiled at him and said that of course he could join, the book club was open to all. He joined your small circle as you rehashed which book was next and when you’d be meeting. James had stood with you until everyone else had left. He asked you more about the book club, if there was anything he was supposed to be looking for in the book, like themes or character archetypes or seeing if it matched a hero’s journey method of storytelling. You laugh sounded like wind chimes after he asked that. You assured him that you were reading for fun and anything he got out of the book and wanted to talk about was enough. Even if he had nothing he wanted to talk about, he should come to the meeting and listen. You explained that maybe someone else’s insight might make something connect for him.
James knew he was probably imagining it, but it really felt like you wanted him to come. Like you had been waiting for him to ask if he could join. Afterall, you hadn’t given him the confused or disbelieving look everyone you were talking with had given him, the same looks his friends gave him when he left the common room. That left him with two options: either you knew absolutely nothing about him and were just that excited about your book club, or, and this one is far more desirable for him, you knew James wasn’t really a bookworm but you were excited that he was interested in joining your club. He convinced himself it was the second because how could you not know anything about him? And if you were that excited for him joining his club, maybe you were as interested in him as he was in you.
“James!” your voice called from the upper level of the library almost as soon as he walked through the doors.
You are standing at the bannister with your torso half leaning over it. Even from below, James could see the death grip you had on the railing to prevent yourself from possibly falling forward as you wave at him. He waves back up at you and heads for the stairs. Just hearing you call his name and waving with such vigor brought a massive grin to his face. You wait for him to walk the length of the library back to you. James flexes his fingers at his side, trying to squash the urge to reach out and grab your hand.
“We’re just over here,” you say as you lead him into the shelves.
There’s a circular table that has two open chairs. One for you and one for James. To his delight, they are right next to each other. After sitting down, James looks around the table, seeing who he’s agreed to spend his evening with, besides you, of course. Everyone from the group you had been talking to the day he asked about the club is there, along with a few more students. Mostly older students, although he thinks there is a third year on the opposite end of the table, sinking further into her chair. She was definitely feeling intimidated by the older students. The students were mostly Ravenclaw, with a few Hufflepuffs and a Slytherin. James feels slightly out of place as a Gryffindor.
“Everyone read the book?” you ask, taking your copy out of the bag that was slung over your chair.
There were affirmative murmurs around the table.
“Great!” you exclaim, clasping your hands together like an overexcited teacher about to lecture on their choice passion subject. “What’d we all think? Lovegood, you want to go first?”
A blond boy, a seventh year James thinks, sitting next to the young girl, looks up at you and nods. He clears his throat before his light voice breaks into a monologue about how he doesn’t relate to the main character at all, but he feels very akin to a character who was only in two chapters.
James doesn’t listen to much of what the Ravenclaw is saying. He keeps shifting his gaze between you and his book. His fingers fiddle with the worn pages. You had told him that Madam Pince had more than enough copies of this book in the library for the group, but you wouldn’t let that deter your selection of future reads. You would be more than happy to lend James your copy of a book, as long as he didn’t mind your notes in the margins. He couldn’t wait until you assigned a book that he could oh-so-casually borrow from you.
Right now, you appear to be listening so intently to Lovegood. Your eyes don’t leave his direction and you’re leaned ever so slightly over the table, nodding every so often. James thinks you’re soaking in every word, waiting for him to stop talking so you can pipe in with your thoughts. But when he stops talking and looks around the table expectantly, it’s one of the Hufflepuffs who goes next. Her takeaways build off of Lovegood’s, but in a way that James finds much more relatable. He finds it almost difficult to care though; the only one at the table whose thoughts he actually wants to hear are yours. So he leans back in his chair. He’d wait for you to speak.
James’ eyes continue to flicker between his book, which he’s taken to holding in his hands and flipping through the pages as if looking for a passage he wants to comment on, and you. As the Slytherin speaks, you twirl some of your hair around your finger in a repetitive way. James can’t see the semi-glossed over look in your eyes or how absentminded you’ve become listening to the others at the table. You had started the session with actually listening, but as your peers droned on and on about the book you’d chosen, you find yourself caring less and less about what they said. You wish that James would speak up. You want to know what he thought of it. You have to keep telling yourself that it’s because he’s new to your book club and that’s all.
By the time Madam Pince approaches the table to tell you that she’s closing the library soon, neither you nor James had given thoughts. The group gets up almost simultaneously. James offers some small talk to the Ravenclaw on his other side.
“I’ll have the next book picked out by Thursday,” you say, pushing your chair in. “It’ll be posted on the bulletin board, like usual.”
Members of the club break into smaller groups as they leave with their friends. You linger by the table like you usually do. You like to give members a chance to talk to you after meetings if they want to. The only one lingering with you is James. He walks side-by-side with you as you make your way to the stairs.
“Didn’t hear your thoughts on the book,” you muse as you walk together.
“Bit nervous for my first meeting,” he replies, running a hand through his hair. “I did like the book, really.”
You nod and smile.
“You didn’t talk either,” James points out. “I mean, between when you started the meeting and ended it.”
“I was a bit distracted,” you say softly with a chuckle. “And I’ve read this one like a hundred times. Think I talked everyone’s ear off when I picked it.”
“My ear didn’t get talked off.”
You give James a small smile. “Because you joined after I picked it.”
“So? I think I’m still entitled to having my ear talked off.” James pauses, his eyes lighting up as he had an idea. “Are your thoughts in the margins of your book?”
“Uh… yeah, they are. I always write in my books when I own them…”
“Then can I borrow yours? I’ll reread it! I’d love to know what you think of chapter seven.”
Your eyes widen. You stop walking so you can turn fully toward James. You haven’t even left the library yet and you know Madam Pince is eyeing the two of you from somewhere in the shelves.
“You really want to borrow my book to reread it?” you ask in disbelief. “But you’ll have a new one to read in a day or two.”
James shakes his head, sporting his own small smile. “I know, but I want to know what you think about this one.” He waves his library copy in front of your face. “And then when I’m done, we can meet over coffee or tea or something and discuss. Because, you know, you didn’t get to hear my thoughts on it either.”
Your smile grows slowly as you reach into your bag to retrieve your copy.
“I’d… I’d like that,” you say, holding out the book for James, although you jerk it back just as he’s about to grab it. “But! If you lose this book, I will murder you.”
He snatches it out of your hands with the widest smile you’ve seen on his face.
“I wouldn’t dream of losing it.”
James places the library copy in the return cart before he follows you out of the library. He’s feeling very satisfied and confident. He’s more convinced than before that your excitement for him joining your book club was for spending time with him rather than an overall love of books.
♡ ︎ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: After being the forgotten one your whole life, you thought that they wouldn't forget you.
♡ ︎ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: Angst
♡ ︎ꜱʜɪᴘ: poly!marauders x reader
♡ ꜱᴇʀɪᴇꜱ : part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4
Tumblr media
The next morning, the Great Hall buzzed with the usual clamor of students, but at the Marauders’ table, an unusual silence hung over them like a storm cloud. James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter sat in a tense huddle, their eyes flicking nervously toward the entrance every few seconds, waiting. Hoping. Dreading.
“We’ve really messed up this time,” James muttered, raking a hand through his messy hair. His usual confident smirk was nowhere to be found.
“Yeah, no shit,” Peter added quietly, his hands fidgeting in his lap as he avoided eye contact with the others.
Remus sat slouched over, dark circles under his eyes, his skin pale and sickly. The last full moon had been brutal, and he was still nursing fresh wounds that ran deep, not just on his skin but in his heart. He felt the weight of his own guilt pressing down on him like a vice. He should’ve been there. They all should’ve been there. And now? Now, you probably hated them. He didn’t blame you.
“It’s my fault,” Remus whispered, his voice hoarse. “I should’ve—”
“Moony, no,” James interrupted firmly, though his voice was softer than usual. “It wasn’t your fault. We should’ve told her. We all agreed on that date, but we thought you’d be fine by then. No one expected the moon to be that bad.”
Peter nodded in agreement, but his expression remained grim. “But we couldn’t tell her, could we? Not about… y’know.”
Remus flinched at the unspoken word. His furry problem. His secret. The one they all kept from you. It wasn’t because they didn’t trust you—it was because they were scared. Scared of how you’d react. Scared you’d leave. Scared you’d see Remus as a monster.
“I just… I didn’t want her to see me like this,” Remus whispered, his hand unconsciously tracing the new scar on his cheek, the fresh reminder of what he became once a month. He looked down at the table, ashamed. “She doesn’t know. She wouldn't understand.”
Sirius, who had been uncharacteristically quiet, tried to lighten the mood. “She’ll come around,” he said, forcing a grin that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “She’ll understand once we explain, right? I mean, it’s us. She knows we wouldn’t—”
But even Sirius couldn’t finish the sentence. His bravado faltered. The truth was, they had stood you up. They had left you waiting for hours, no explanation, no word. Even for them, this was unforgivable. And deep down, Sirius knew it. He knew they had hurt you, badly.
“We fucked up,” he admitted quietly, the words heavy with the weight of his own guilt.
The others didn’t argue. They knew it too.
Tumblr media
The sound of the Great Hall doors opening made all four boys tense. You walked in with Lily and Mary, the two girls chatting lightly beside you. But you… you looked different. Your usual bright smile was gone, your eyes tired and distant. You carried yourself like someone trying desperately to hold it together, and the sight of you like that felt like a punch to the gut for all of them.
James sat up straighter, his eyes glued to you, willing you to look at them. Please sit with us, he thought, as if he could somehow send the message telepathically. But you didn’t. You didn’t even glance in their direction. You walked straight past their table, your shoulders stiff, as if you were physically forcing yourself not to look.
Remus’s heart dropped into his stomach as he watched you sit down between Lily and Mary. He couldn’t tear his eyes away from you, though. You looked so… hurt. And knowing that he was the reason for it made him feel like the monster he tried so hard to hide from you.
“She didn’t even look at us,” Peter whispered, his voice laced with panic. “What if they—what if she never talks to us again?”
James didn’t respond. He couldn’t. He was too busy staring at you, silently begging for you to look over. He needed to see your eyes, needed to know if there was still a chance to fix this. But you didn’t.
And then, for the first time, Sirius’s forced optimism broke completely. “We really fucked up, didn’t we?” His voice was low, defeated, and filled with the kind of despair that none of them had ever heard from him before.
Remus closed his eyes, swallowing hard against the guilt that was clawing at his throat. He wanted to run over to you, to pull you aside and explain everything, to beg for forgiveness. But what would he even say? How could he explain all the times they had lied, all the times they had kept him away from you after full moons, how they had kept you in the dark? He couldn’t. Not yet.
And so, they sat there in silence, helpless, watching the person they loved more than anything in the world drift further and further away.
Tumblr media
You tried to ignore their stares, you really did. But you could feel their eyes on you, especially Remus’s. There was a tension in the air, thick and suffocating, making it impossible for you to concentrate on anything Lily or Mary were saying. Your heart was aching, twisting painfully in your chest, but you refused to give in to it. Not again. Not after last night.
But despite your best efforts, your eyes betrayed you. For just a moment, you glanced over at their table, and your heart clenched when you saw them.
Remus looked terrible. Pale, sick, with fresh scars on his face that you hadn’t noticed before. His eyes were heavy with exhaustion, his shoulders slumped as if he was carrying the weight of the world on them. You felt a pang of guilt twist in your chest, the urge to rush over and hug him overwhelming for a split second. You loved him. You loved all of them.
But then the anger came rushing back, drowning out the guilt. If Remus had been sick, if something had happened, they could have told you. They should have told you. Instead, they had left you alone, waiting, wondering if you even mattered to them at all.
You noticed the fresh scar across Remus’s cheek, and your mind wandered back to the countless times you had questioned him about his scars before. He had always brushed it off, closed himself off from you. And the boys? They gave the most ridiculous, unbelievable excuses every single time. You weren’t stupid. You knew something was going on, something they weren’t telling you, and it hurt. It hurt so much more than you wanted to admit.
How could you be their girlfriend, but still feel so shut out? Why didn’t they trust you enough to tell you the truth? That thought hit you harder than anything. Maybe you weren’t as important to them as they were to you. Maybe you were just… an afterthought.
You clenched your jaw, determined not to let the tears fall this time. You weren’t going to let them see you cry again. You wouldn’t give them that satisfaction.
But the truth was, no matter how angry or hurt you were, you still loved them. And that hurt most of all.
And They Were Roommates
My first time writing so here we go
Tumblr media
Summary: How you end up as their roommate
Walking up the steps to the lovely little house on a lovely little street shouldn’t have had you as nervous as it did. The house was exactly as Lily described; charming. It wasn’t new by any standards, but it was a well lived in home. Sure the little garden needed tending to, and there were some cracks running up the walls, but it seemed so warm and inviting. It is better than nothing.
Lily, lovely, kind, sweet Lily was the one who offered up this place. You had come into work that day with a tear-stained face and a stressed demeanor, and Lily knew something had to be off. During your break, she asked what was wrong and you instantly fell apart yet again. You told her about all the horrid circumstances about your apartment. “My roommates are insane, the rent is way too expensive, it’s all the way across town, there’s mold in the shower, I have noisy neighbors, and the landlord is an asshole and a creep,” you rattled off, still teary and frustrated. Lily nodded, listening, thinking of some way to offer up a solution. Hesitantly, she told you about one place she knew that had an extra bedroom available. “Now I have to warn you, there is no guarantee that the people who live there won't be less crazy than your old roommates, but they are nice! I’ve known them for years, they're really cool.” And with that she wrote down an address and told you to meet her there after your shift.
Which is where you are now, following Lily up the brick stairs to your new potential place to stay. She knocks on the door and waits for it to swing open revealing a young man with long black hair, tied back messily. He was tall, and handsome, his blue-gray eyes sly and gleaming. “Ah Evans, lovely day to you. What brings you ‘round?” His voice was melodic although a tad gruff. She didn’t answer, just pushed her way through, as if she’d done it a million times. You made to follow her and he opened the door wide for you allowing you to walk through. That's when you noticed the tattoos littering his hands. His sleeves cut off what you could see, but you assumed that the tattoos stretched further up his arms. You looked up at him, smiling awkwardly as he tilted his head at you. You’d been caught admiring the markings.
“Where’s James? I texted him.” Lily called from the living room. You followed the sound of her voice into the open living area. It was cozy, a mix of large plush armchairs that matched a big squashy brown couch. There were a couple bookcases filled with books, gadgets, and plants surrounding the tv. A record player to the side. The area was so inviting, not at all like your old apartment.
“I don’t know, I just woke up,” The boy said a tad bit annoyed “Care to introduce your friend?” he gestured over to you
“This is Y/N, my friend from work. She needs a place to stay- I texted this all to James I thought he would’ve told you.” she said in a rushed tone. “Where is he? I specifically-”
“-He’s in the shower Lils” called another voice from a boy now entering the room. He was much taller than the first boy. He had sandy brown hair and light eyes, just as handsome as the first boy, but in a softer way. You noticed a scar running across his face that made him more attractive if you were being honest. He smiled kindly at you and said, “I'm Remus, and that’s Sirius.” He nodded to the black haired boy.
Someone came bounding down the steps, another boy with brown hair and green eyes. He was dripping wet with only a towel wrapped around his waist. He was just as attractive as Remus and Sirius, and well you couldn’t help but… admiring… how fit he was. How could you when it was so graciously on display.
“James! Did you not tell them about Y/N?” Lily yelled at James, annoyed but slightly playful.
“I forgot?”
Lily picked up a pillow from the nearby oversized armchair and threw it at James who dodged it and ran back up the stairs laughing. “Get dressed and come back down here!” she called after him.
She whirled back to you and the two other boys, singing and making her way over to the couch, beckoning you to join her. “These boys” she rolled her eyes “It’s a wonder how this house is still standing” she joked with you.
“We can hear you Evans.” Sirius said sliding into an armchair, Remus casually leaning over the back of the same chair.
“That's the point Black” she debuted.
The dripping wet boy, who you guessed must be James, came back downstairs in more than just a towel this time, but donning a pair of glasses.
He walked straight up to you. “Hi I’m James,” He said, shaking your hand heartily. He was quite warm. “Lily told me about your situation and it sounds shit. I, for one, would be perfectly fine with you staying here, but you see this is a democracy and Remus and Sirius also get a vote.” His words left his mouth at a mile a minute, he seemed to have energy like bottled lightning.”Oh by the way,” he turned to the other boys “this is Y/N, she needs a place to stay.”
“Yeah, we got that much mate, thanks.” Remus chuckled.
“You’re frightening her James, you’ll scare her off” Sirius joked.
You laughed slightly, your nerves easing slightly. But the small noise made everyone turn to you for some input.
“Uh- I don’t want to impose, it is totally fine if you decide that you don’t want another roommate, I mean, you all seem very close and it might be awkward adding another person to the mix, so If you don’t want me to live here I get it, I mean, it is your house, I’d just be staying as a guest I guess,” you started playing with your fingers. The boys shared a look.
“I'm gonna stop you right there love,” Sirius interrupted. “We wouldn't mind another roommate at all.”
“Yeah,” James agreed, ”I’m sure you'd fit in perfectly with us lot. I mean, any friend of Lil’s is a friend of ours.” He smiled at you reassuringly.
“Are you sure? I mean it would only be a couple of months until I can find the right place and-”
“No need. Our house is always open to friends. People are always in and out. Lily has stayed here I don’t even know how many times.” Remus interrupted. “You’re fine to stay however long you need, forever if you want.”
“Really? I- I-Uh. Thank you. Really I mean it, I really appreciate it. I’ll be the best roommate ever, I promise! I'll cook and clean.”  At that, the boys smiled back at you. You felt a wave of relief wash over you. “I can get you guys the rent once I'm all moved in.” You were very excited now, Lily sharing your excitement pulled you from the couch and up the stairs to show you your new room.
“Oh no need” Sirius shouts after you but you didn't hear. They could hear the two of you giggling and talking about decorating.
“Ok we're going to need a new list of house rules.” Remus spoke up to the other two boys.
Sirius looked up at him shocked. “What, why?”
“Well one, she's a girl. That means put clothes on when walking around the house,” he directed at James. “Two she obviously needs to come out of her shell a little, we don't wanna scare her now do we?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” James asks.
“She's not used to the chaos that you two seem to feed off of so, maybe just tone it down slightly.” Remus replied.
“No promises,” Sirius mused.
Remus just brushed him off and said more serious now “She’s also…” he paused making sure you and Lily were still upstairs and couldn't hear, ”a muggle.”
The other two boys nodded understanding this important rule. “So no magic? What about quidditch I can’t just stop- Moony what about you?,” James asked.
Remus thought for a moment. This may be harder than they thought, but they weren’t going to go back on it now. “Ok, just no magic out in the open and be careful about it when you do use it. Agreed?,” the other two nodded. “And as for me… we’ll just figure that out when it comes time.”
Sirius looked at the other two. “And what about when she finds out about…” he motioned between all three of them “Us.”
The three of them shared glances and started thinking of how much they had to keep from you. This was definitely going to be harder than they thought.
Secret Potter!reader x Remus pt 2
Summary: Remus can’t stop thinking about you, you can't stop kissing him, and Theodore Pompous needs to hide from James
Warnings: smutty, mentions of consent, slight corruption kink
Word count: 3.5k
—————————————————————————
Remus woke up the next morning and sat up in his bed for a full minute thinking, what the fuck have I done? He had fucked his best friend's little sister, and the worst part was, he wanted to do it again. Remus rubbed over his eyes as he got up to use the bathroom. He splashed water on his face and tried to justify what had happened. It wasn't his fault that you teased him all weekend- with a surprising amount of stealth considering James was almost always around the two of you- and then made him feel your soaking panties when he tried to ask for your consent.
"Jesus fucking christ," Remus cursed, grabbing the sink and looking at himself in the mirror. He had to get a grip. By the time he had brushed his teeth, showered, and gotten dressed, it was lunch hours. Remus and the marauders strutted cheerfully down to the Great Hall, despite being at a party the night before. This was routine. Soon they'd be scarfing their faces with toast and sausage and sandwiches.
You had woken up a few minutes later and ended up walking to the Great Hall with Marlene and a few other girls. You were mildly hungover, though by this hour, you were ready to eat. When you walked through the doors, you spotted Remus immediately. He was already watching you as you walked towards the table, sitting down next to James as you did every morning.
"Mornin'," James greeted you, smiling through a mouthful of toast. You raised your brows and tried not to laugh for two reasons. James was staring at you like an idiot, and Remus was staring at your tits.
"Good morning," you laughed, hiding the smile on your lips. You started to fill your plate, intentionally looking away from Remus. He seemed to be nervous. Then you felt James fingers pull back your hair away from your neck.
"Y/N, do you have a hickey on your neck?" James sputtered, moving in closer to stare at it. Your eyes shot up to Remus who was currently looking away from you and your brother.
"So what," you scoffed, fussing his hand away. "You're the one who reminded me of my crush on Theodore. Now you're mad at me for it?"
Remus had to admit, you were a quick thinker. James' face turned a violent shade of red as he shot up to locate Theodore Pompous at the Ravenclaw table. When Remus met your eye, the two of you almost burst out laughing at James' reaction before you sprung up to grab his arm.
"James," you scolded, trying to stifle a laugh. "Seriously, stop. You can't just berate Theodore. That's so rude and there's no reason to." James shook his head at you with an incredulous look.
"No reason-"
"James," Marlene shouted, standing up as well. "Stop it. All of us are tired of you being such a dick to Y/N. You don't see her reacting like this when you have a bit of fun." The other girls murmured in agreement as James' eye twitched.
"Yes, but thats different-"
"Why?" Marlene raised her brow, "Because she's a girl?" The was a series of oooh's and cackles from Sirius and Peter before James begrudgingly sat down and passed a dirty glance your way. At least he was settled for now. James wouldn't continue to press you with Lily and the other girls at your defense.
Lunch went on and Remus came to the conclusion that he was utterly obsessed with you. He wondered if you were still teasing him or if it was just your body taunting him as his eyes kept finding their way to your chest. You had always been drop dead gorgeous. This was fucked. There was no way he’d be able to keep his eyes from wandering to you, and there was even less of a chance that he’d be able to go to whole week without fucking you at least once. He tried to feel bad about it, but that wasn't the case. He wanted you, and there really wasn't anything that was going to stop him from seeing you again.
Remus decided to approach this logically. If he wanted keep fucking you, he'd have to court you. He wouldn't mind that. You enjoyed literature, you were funny, and you were one of the most talented witches in the school. And you were his best friends brother, if he wanted to fuck you today, he'd have to do it in secret to avoid an interfering and angry James.
That's why when he found you studying alone in the library that afternoon, he took the opportunity.
"Hello," Remus cleared his throat, approaching your desk. "Mind if I join you?" Your eyes peered up from your papers momentarily, just enough to acknowledge his presence.
"Sure," you hummed, dipping your quill in the inkwell. "As long as you don't distract me from my work."
Remus huffed out a laugh and pulled a chair up to your table. Even sitting down, his frame towered over yours. You tried to continue writing, but the task felt futile as his knee rested just inches from yours. You sighed and put your quill down, turning to face Remus. His face wore a smile as he threw his hands up in defense.
"Hey, I wasn't even doing anything," he chuckled, watching as you rolled your eyes. A smile crept up to your lips.
"Yeah, yeah, Remus," you grumbled. "Did you want to talk about something?" He huffed out another laugh and you felt his breath on your face, the close proximity making your stomach do a flip. In the low lighting, he looked heavenly.
"Yea, actually. I did want to talk to you about something," his voice lowering as he leaned in. You narrowed your eyes at him as the smirk on his face stayed put. He thought he was hot shit and maybe he was right about that, but you wouldn't let him play with you.
"Hmm, and what would that be?" you asked innocently, looking up at him with your signature doe eyes. He scoffed out a laugh.
"Well, love. To be honest, I can't stop thinking about you," he purred, his arm slinging over the back of your chair as he leaned in even closer. You stifled the urge to press your legs together as his hand played with the hem of your t-shirt, rubbing it in between his fingers.
"Can't stop thinking about how good the sex was?" You teased, leaning in with a mischievous lip bite. This made Remus laugh and you blushed at his genuine smile.
"Straight to the point then," Remus chuckled, looking around the library. "Listen, I don't want to be disrespectful-"
"Okay, let me cut you off right there," you said sternly, pushing your finger into his chest. "If you're going to be scared of my brother, then this isn't going to work. I'm looking for someone who will fuck me and not hold back. If you can't do that, then we shouldn't do this." You finished, turning back to sit properly in your chair. Remus' hand stopped you by the shoulder.
"Love, if I cared about your brother right now I wouldn't be here telling you how badly I need to fuck you again," Remus whispered quickly, his gaze dropping to your lips for a second. Your face flushed immediately as the want between your legs throbbed again.
"Oh," was all you could make out. His smirk annoyingly made another appearance as he chuckled lightly at you, again. His thumb rubbed over the cap of your shoulder as you looked at him with a permanent blush, your lips parted slightly. The smirk slowly faded off his face as he stared at you. He couldn't focus while you were looking at him like that. With that blush on your cheeks, and those plump, pink lips.
"So what's your plan then?" You said, snapping Remus out of his trance. He sat up straighter.
"Meet me in the prefect's bathroom at 9:30," he instructed, his hand moving off your shoulder as he stood up. You smirked up at him as he moved his chair back to the table next to yours.
"I'll be there," you replied, turning back to your notes.
"See you then," Remus smiled, leaving before he lost control and bent you over the table.
Later that night
You padded lightly through the hallways. Curfew wasn't for another 30 minutes, but you tried to stay quiet. Your body buzzed with excitement as you padded up the staircase to the fifth floor. It turned you on that Remus was using his prefect privileges to fuck you in private, and it turned you on even more knowing there was a giant bathtub in the middle of the room. You chuckled lightly to yourself as you came onto the floor, Remus leaning against the wall near the statue. His eyes found your hips as you approached him.
"Hi," you whispered, stepping softly towards him.
"Hi beautiful," he muttered, pushing off the wall to come towards you. You weren't expecting him to kiss you, so a gasp escaped you when he surged forward to press his lips against yours. He grabbed your cheeks to deepen the kiss hungrily. You moaned into him as your fists clasped the front of his shirt, his prefect badge moving with the fabric.
"We should go inside," you gasped, pulling away from his irresistible lips. He hummed in agreement, not quite looking at you. His hands were gripping tightly on your hips like they did the previous night, as if he could barely contain himself. It took a moment but Remus led you through the doors and into the bathroom, dimly lit from the moon and enchanted colored lights. You bit your lip as you watched the water run from the faucets and into the bath, filling the room with steam.
"Let's take this off," Remus purred, coming from behind to kiss your neck. You let out a sigh of relief as he sucked down on your sweet spot, his hands running under your shirt to lift it over your head. You happily obliged and felt Remus groan into your neck as he realized you weren't wearing a bra. You knew this would drive him crazy, and hearing him groan in your ear made you pool between your legs. He pulled your shirt off and spun you around, leaving no time before dipping down to kiss you again. You could hardly think as Remus wrapped his arms around your body, burying into the kiss like he didn't need air. It was mesmerizing, the way your body fit against his. The two of you kissed like that for a while, the steam eventually pooling over both of your skin. It took a few minutes for Remus to stop kissing you, humming multiple times into your mouth before he finally pulled away.
"Rem," you groaned, tugging on the buttons of his shirt to take it off. He was practically soaking through his shirt anyway.
"Let's get in the water."
The two of you stripped and sunk slowly into the bath, Remus' hands pulling you into his lap. When your backside made contact with him, you gasped. His length pressed against you and you were suddenly reminded of how he stretched you out last night. You were glad to be soaking in a hot bath. You barely had time for another thought when he connected his lips with your skin, your head lolling back onto his shoulder as he massaged your thighs.
"Fuck," you groaned as his hands came up to grasp your breast. He hummed in response and bit your earlobe, earning a roll from your hips. His fingers slipped down between your legs, teasing you gently.
"Y/N," Remus breathed, pausing his kissing and earning a hum from you in response. "I want to eat you out."
He didn't wait for your response as he lifted you up and sat you on the edge of the tub, dropping down to his knees and moving between your legs.
"Remus- oh," you moaned as his mouth connected with your clit. You instantly gripped his hair, your head thrown back in an intense wave of pleasure. Remus was making you feel good, and by the way he was groaning into your core and wrapping his hands around your waist, you were pretty sure he was enjoying himself too. You couldn't form words and ultimately found yourself on your back. Remus shifted up higher to kiss your clit deeper, his tongue licking and dipping into your core. His hands stayed put on your hips, his mouth working overtime to send you over the edge.
"Fuck, please Remus," you gasped, you legs locking over his shoulders and bucking up into his face. He only huffed in response as his hands snaked under your back, pulling you deeper into his mouth. You twitched in his grasp, an orgasm teetering as his tongue swiped over your clit.
"So close, Rem," you whine, gripping his curls tighter. Remus could feel you pulse under his tongue, and it took every ounce of control for him to pull away. "Wh-what?" you whine, immediately sitting up to see Remus. He sat there with his arms linked under your legs, his smirk covered in slick down to his chin.
"You want to come for me, Y/N?" Remus teased, leaving wet, open kisses on the inside of your thighs. You whined and he chuckled, looking up at you wickedly through his kisses. "Do you?" He prompted again, moving to the other leg. You groaned with desire.
"Yes, Remus. Please," you cried, tugging on his hair to come towards you again. He hummed out a chuckle into your skin.
"Tell me how badly you want it," Remus challenged you, moving his kisses closer to your center.
"Please, Remus. I want you so badly. I need you. So badly, Remus. Please," you whined, falling on your back and continuing to grasp at his head. You felt the vibrations of his chuckle next to your clit.
"Such a good girl," he mumbled, planting a kiss right onto you. You let out another guttural whine as he continued to tenderly lap at your clit and your entrance, slowly savoring your wetness. You felt your orgasm building once more, sending jolts through your body that increased in force with every movement of Remus' tongue. Your hips were bucking badly, and Remus tightened his grip on you to bury himself once again.
"I'm going to come," you gasped, barely lasting a second longer before spilling into his mouth. The intensity felt doubled this time, and Remus ate you up graciously. You were almost embarrassed by how hard your orgasm had hit you, but Remus didn't seem to mind. In fact, he was moaning into your core as he finished you up.
"You taste so fucking good," Remus groaned as he climbed over you, his tip pressing against your entrance and slipping in momentarily through the slick. You gasped and felt yourself clench around him, still sensitive from his mouth. Remus' hand found the back of your head as he pushed himself into you fully. You gasped and whined simultaneously, digging your nails into his biceps. "Fuck, Y/N. You feel even better." He began to move in and out of you at a torturous pace, his tip burying deep within you. Just when you thought he had bottomed out, he bucked into you with force and moved even deeper inside of you. You let out an unprompted noise which seemed to please Remus as he started pounding into you, forcing noises out of you that were uncontrollable.
"F-fuck, R-remus," you said, your words bouncing with the pace of his thrusts. It was unrelenting, but you were so soft from his mouth that you started to near another orgasm. Your fate was sealed when his thumb came down to find your clit, the pressure of his cock adding to the pleasure immediately.
"So pretty, Y/N," Remus moaned, dipping to press a kiss to your lips. You hungrily returned it, the two of you moaning into each other's mouths as Remus' thrust slowed and deepened. "So. Fucking. Beautiful." He pounded into you, clenching his jaw as he fucked the life out of you. You were tightening, and tightening, and tightening until the coil in your stomach snapped and a rush of release pulsed through your walls. Remus groaned loudly as you felt him collapse into you, his thrusts deep and followed by spurts of warmth inside of you. He thrusted into you lazily, kissing you and rubbing your hips with his thumbs. Like much of the night, the two of you stayed kissing unhurriedly like this. It was only when someone knocked on the door that the two of you moved from your position.
"Thank Merlin you locked the door," you muttered, pulling on your pants after casting a dryer spell over you.
"Heh, I actually didn't. It's just common practice after prefect rounds," Remus laughed sheepishly. "It must be the end of the next shift." Your eyes widened at this as the two of you finished pulling on your clothes and drying off perspectively. You kept close to Remus' back as the two of you moved to leave the bathroom. You heard Remus say something to the other prefect but you didn't look up as you followed Remus out. He ushered you towards the staircase and muttered in your ear, "That was Theodore Pompous." You stifled a laugh as the two of you climbed the stairs. Remus was grinning at the coincidence and teasing you about your old crush. The two of you laughed and blushed and talked quite comfortably next to one another as you neared the Gryffindor tower.
"Do you think anyone will be in the common room?" you asked, lowering your voice and letting go of his hand. Remus shrugged and walked behind you, guiding you to the portrait hole.
"I don't think so. There's an early quidditch practice tomorrow and it's already past curfew," he muttered, giving the fat lady the password and climbing through to the common room. Remus' face hardened when he saw James sitting on the couch, his head turned towards them. He stood up when he saw you enter behind Remus.
"Y/N, what were you doing out past curfew? I was worried. I waited up for you," James frowned at you, his eyes filled with genuine concern. You felt your face flush red, realizing why you were out late. You might as well have been wearing a sign that said we just fucked. Thankfully Remus was exceptionally good at drying charms.
"I found her sneaking around Ravenclaw Tower," Remus said with a nonchalant nod of the head. "Thought I'd bring her back."
"Wasn't your shift done thirty minutes ago?" James questioned, stepping closer to Remus who showed no signs of embarrassment or concern.
"Yes, but I told Theodore I'd take his shift in exchange for him doing mine on Sirius' birthday," Remus shrugged. Your mouth formed a straight line as you looked at him. Seriously? That's the best you can come up with? James looked at Remus incredulously.
"Why would you trade shifts with him," James hissed, narrowing his eyes towards him. You started to walk towards your dorm.
"Well, I'm back," you dismissed James with a yawn. "Goodnight, Jamie." James huffed and stepped in front of you, grabbing your hands.
"Y/N, you know I love and respect you," he stared, causing you to roll your eyes by instinct. "But I just want you to be safe. Don't stay out late for some prat who you've hardly even talked to before." You sighed as he looked at you with those James Potter eyes that reminded you of home.
"I know. I'm sorry I worried you," you apologized, looking sympathetically to him. "I'm gonna go to sleep now. Okay?" James let out a sigh of relief as he gave you a hug.
"Goodnight," James called as you went up the stairs.
"Goodnight," you called back, sending Remus a wave. Remus waved subtly back to you before sighing and rubbing his eyes. He hated lying to James, and he hated even more how much he felt like he was corrupting his best friend's little sister. He knew it wasn't true though. You had shown him how badly you wanted him, how much of a slut you were for him... Fuck. Remus wanted you for himself and he wanted you for a long time. He made a vow to ask you out by the end of the week, and to do it with James' blessing.
"Sorry I got a little heated, Moony," James said, turning to face Remus. "I just can't stand the thought of her alone with some random git. Thanks for bringing her back." Remus hummed and nodded.
"It's no problem."
The two of them went up to their dorm and crashed respectively onto their beds. Sirius and Peter were already asleep. Remus laid awake again thinking about you. He thought about your face when you came, and the way you blushed when he teased you. He fell asleep dreaming of you during the summertimes when you would read outside with him and woke up the next morning with a plan.
————
Sirius’ apartment is really quite sweet. The walls are dark and draped with tapestries, ones you would never know where to find. Someplace you’re unfamiliar with, surely.
Of course you know it wouldn’t be nearly this nice without all of Remus’ help. Sirius thinks choosing to live across the hall from one another was the best decision they ever made. He had wanted to share a place with both Remus and James, but that was before Lily snatched him away.
The couch is a deep wine color, the cushions bearing imprints from all the hands and backs and bottoms that have embraced them. He’s cracked the living room windows open, allowing the spring air to seep in.
He’s been pacing back and forth from the window where he’d be able to see your car pull up, and looking out the peephole on his front door. He pulls it open just as you’ve raised your hand to knock (despite having a key), making you jump. A boyish grin spreads across his face as he drags his eyes down your figure.
“Well, Christ, don’t you look gorgeous.”
You feel the tips of your ears burn. One of your hands flies to rest on your lower belly. You put on a dress today; a lovely, long sundress you purchased in a short-lived moment of bravery, one you’ve never worn around him. Actually, you’ve never worn a dress around Sirius, period. Skirts, sure. But he has never seen you in something like this.
“Oh, quit that,” you mutter, dipping under his arm to enter his home.
He turns around to watch you walk in as he pushes the door shut. “I will not.” He takes your bag from your shoulder, setting it on a stool just under the kitchen island. “Do a spin for me, love. That color looks so perfect on you.”
You oblige, letting yourself have this one moment where you lean into his flirting. His eyes follow the curve of your waist, the dress hugging it so gently where you’ve tied the strings around your back. The way the fabric drapes down your spine and is light enough that he can see each move you make, each effortless shift of your limbs. He has to be careful not to let his jaw fall open.
You complete your turn, stomach flipping at the look on his face. You scramble for something to say, to hide the way he’s flustered you.
“Okay, okay. No need to pretend to ogle anymore. All I did was put on regular people clothes.”
Sirius’ brows knit together. Pretend? Do you think he’s doing this just to flatter you? Just because he’s a naturally flirty man? He wants to toss you over his shoulder and show you how perfect you are. He crosses his arms.
“No pretending here, love. You do look stunning in that little number and I feel blessed that you have graced me with your presence while wearing it.” He shoots a wink in your direction.
You run a hand over your collarbone and twist to plant yourself on his couch. He follows you, tucking himself into your side, his thigh pressed to yours. You can feel his gaze on you.
“You’re terrible at taking compliments, you know that?” He gingerly takes your hand away from where it’s scratching at your neck and keeps it in his, subconsciously tracing the lines embedded in your palm.
Your eyes fall on his fingers, watching the way his rings glint in the fading sunlight. “I did know that, yes.”
“Give me a compliment then,” he says, attempting to display how one can accept a compliment. Part of him knows he’ll go red once you give him that attention.
You look at him, your mind swirling with every sweet thing you’ve ever wanted to say to him but kept to yourself because all this flirting doesn’t leave you as easily as it does him.
“Your hair looks very pretty,” you let out, softly. A smile wide enough to expose his dimples spreads across his face.
“Does it?” He gives his head a shake, the dog-like movement making you laugh. “I haven’t brushed it today.”
You tuck a strand behind his ear. “Would you like me to do it for you? I could braid it for you after so it won’t get tangled tonight.”
That gesture comes from you so naturally that it makes Sirius swoon. You want to do that simply for his convenience and because it might make things a bit better on him. And he’ll be damned if the thought of your fingers touching his scalp and your nails on his neck doesn’t sound like the best thing since…well he hasn’t got a reference for that. But you’re often so shy when it comes to physical affection, and this just might make his entire life.
This pool of thoughts must be showing on his face, because you suddenly look very flustered. He wouldn’t be surprised if he had hearts in his eyes to replace his pupils.
“I’d love it if you did. You really don’t mind?” he asks, already shifting to sit on the floor in front of you, trying not to make you feel too nervous because he knows you’re branching out just based on your actions since you arrived.
“Nope. I love to braid hair,” you say, feeling a chill run down your spine seeing him settled between your legs like this, feeling the warmth of him through your dress and being able to really look at him—even if it’s just the backside of him—without feeling so shy.
Sirius grins to himself. He’s realized that you do keep a lot of things to yourself, and though he likes to think he’s cracked away at a bit of your shell in the time he’s known you, there is still so much he doesn’t know.
“Did you know that Remus can braid?” he asks you, closing his eyes at the feel of your pinky fingernail parting his hair down the middle.
You giggle. He could get drunk off that sound, and he knows so. It leaves him dazed. “Can he?”
“Apparently so. His mum taught him and used to have him do her hair because he was better at it than she was.”
“Well, that’s sweet. I should have him do mine. Test his skills. How’d you find out he could do it?”
Sirius lets out a breath of a laugh, “He did mine for a Quidditch match once. Mcgonagall used to fuss that I’d rip all my hair out if I didn’t contain it.”
You’re braiding his hair very slowly, much slower than you’d do yours or anyone else’s. His hair is so soft, and much thicker than you had realized. It’s got a wave to it, one you think you would be a bit more defined if he put some product in it. You’re enjoying the feel of it in your hands, the heat of his scalp against your skin.
You’re losing yourself in it so much that you almost miss his words.
“I bet you guys had a lot of fun playing together,” you say, knowing that kind of bond must be one of the best things in the world. You tuck the strands of hair at the base of his neck in so they don’t droop when you’re finished.
Sirius wraps a hand around your ankle, and your eyes widen.
“I wish we’d been friends then,” he tells you. Your nervous system is sent into overdrive, trying to adapt to such a casually intimate touch and the fact that he’s dwelling on the past.
You tie off the end of one braid and start on the other. You exhale through your nose. “I don’t think we could’ve been.”
Sirius’ eyes open at this. He fights the urge to spin around and face you, but knows you’re concentrating, and he has the feeling that not staring at you directly is why you’re suddenly being so open with him.
“Why?” he asks. Why couldn’t you have been? He’s always been friendly. Sure, he was much more rowdy in school, but he never would’ve tried to intimidate you.
“We ran in different circles, you know? I certainly knew who you and the boys were, but everyone did.” Sirius’ brows furrow as he listens more intently than he knew he was capable of. “Though no one really knew who I was, except for my professors, of course. I was even more shy and reserved then, if you can believe that. I never really fit in, and I never found my people.”
“I sort of just…observed everyone. I did my best in class and tried to be social, but nothing ever stuck. I think there’s only one person I keep in touch with from Herbology. I learned at some point that I was going to be alone, and I might as well make the best of it.”
“So I guess what I’m saying is that we couldn’t have been because I’m not sure you ever would’ve seen me.”
The silence that follows your last few words is deafening, and all you hear is the sound of your blood rushing in your ears and your nails scratching against his hair as you finish the other braid.
When he feels the tie rest against his neck, he forces the words up from where they’ve been sitting in his throat. “Love, I…”
He turns around so quickly you think he might’ve given himself whiplash. He’s giving you puppy dog eyes, and you hate that he’s feeling sappy over you and your pitiful school experience—or lack thereof.
“Weren’t you lonely?” he questions, resting his hands on your knees.
You start to fidget with one of your rings. “Of course I was. I know for lots being at Hogwarts are some of the best years of your life. But mine were very hard. I was extremely lonely, but I just learned how to be my own friend and do things that made me happy.”
“Plus I made great relationships with the professors, which helped me in getting a real job. And if that hadn’t happened…I’d never have really met you. Don’t feel bad for me, okay? It’s no big deal.”
Your words are followed by a poignant pause.
So much starts to click for Sirius, and all it does is break his heart. You give him a shy smile, and fuck, you’re absolutely right. He can’t remember what you looked like then, doesn’t remember seeing you in any of his courses. And he knows you’re a badass, but thinking about how he always had a circle, people he’d trust with his life and go to when he needed them, compared to how you were completely alone…that hurts. You deserve to be loved, praised, shown off to the world. You’re only a bit more outgoing now, and he knows much of that is owed to him and James. Remus is your introverted confidant.
Sirius stands up and moves to sit next to you on the couch.
“How could I not feel bad for you? Love, you’ve grown so accustomed to being alone that you don’t think it’s a big deal—not having a circle. You’ve accepted it, and I hate that you have felt so alone for so long.”
“Sirius, really, it’s—”
“Can I ask you something?” He blurts out the words, causing you to blink a bit.
“You just did.”
“Please?”
“Yes.”
“Have you ever had a boyfriend?”
Oh. That’s not where you were expecting this conversation to go. And this is one of the most embarrassing things to talk about. Especially with him, because you know he’s experienced. You’ve heard the stories.
Sirius takes your silence as encouragement to continue, scrambling to explain why he’d ask this.
“Obviously you’ve been around us, you know James and Lily and—whatever, you know. And we sometimes talk about relationships or escapades and you always retreat when that happens. Is that…is that why?”
You swallow, ignoring the slight pressure behind your eyes. Fuck, this is embarrassing. Especially at your age, and knowing you’re behind everyone you know. It is hard to hear them talk about relationships or hookups. Most definitely when it’s Sirius.
“No. I’ve never had a boyfriend.”
Sirius blinks. He can’t understand how any guy could look at you and not want you all to themselves. That’s what he wants.
“I’ve never even held hands romantically, Sirius. Isn’t that pathetic?” You feel the need to make sure he knows you realize how pitiful it truly is.
Alarm bells ring in his head.
“Darling, no. It’s not pathetic.” He searches your face, noticing the way you’re retreating from him. “Look at me, please?” He tracks your smile lines, each freckle or mark on your skin until you meet his eyes. His own brighten at your willingness to listen. “There she is.”
Something about those words shoot straight to your stomach, butterflies smacking against your insides, begging to be let out.
“Why do you think that’s pathetic, love?” He’s asking you seriously. That bitter voice, the one you’ve shoved deep inside the back of your mind, claws its way forward. It must be easy to think it’s not pathetic when you’re so experienced. Because you haven’t met the ache that comes from lacking what others have. You shake your head.
“Because it is, Sirius.” He opens his mouth, but figures this isn’t the time to bicker. His jaw falls shut just as quickly. “I am twenty-two years old, and I have never had any romantic interactions, despite the fact that I have been desperate for one for years.” He knows you’re really letting your emotions fly when you begin to talk with your hands.
“It is so gut-wrenching sometimes to see people be so happy in their relationships. It’s hard for me to listen to our discussions when they delve into each of your experiences, because it tugs on my insecurities, and I try my best to hide it, but it does hurt.”
“Truthfully, I’m at a point where not only am I ashamed of all of this, but I’m afraid that a kiss, or a hug, or anything—that I just won’t feel anything. That maybe I will never understand what affection or love feels like and it’ll always be something I imagine. And my imagination only goes so far. There’s such a disconnect, and I can’t feel those things.”
You rub at your temples. “So that’s why. I’m behind everyone else my age, and I wish I wasn’t.”
That little bit of anger you’ve worked so hard to suppress bubbles up in your chest. You worry he’ll say something that pushes it out, that he’ll give you that same spiel everyone else does—
“I could try and help you with your romantic interactions.”
Your breath catches. Sirius’ gray eyes bore into yours.
“But I’ll have you know,” he continues, “that I understand how you think you’re behind, especially with the stupid shit we talk about, and I don’t think it matters. You’re on a different path than I’ve been, but it’s not as though you’ll never do those things. Frankly, I can’t see why no one’s jumped your bones to date.”
Your nervous system feels so confused. At once you’re fighting that bout of frustration, and feeling your heart pick up at the idea of this actually being a possibility.
“Did I braid your hair too tight?” you mutter.
Sirius laughs, tossing his head back to reveal a glorious neck. “No, love.” He places a hand on your knee. “Now, be genuine when you answer this for me, alright?” He waits for your nod and then leans in close enough that you can feel his breath on your collar bones.
“Is it really that difficult to see how enamored I am with you?”
Huh?
Sirius laughs again. Shit, did you say that out loud?
“You did say that out loud.”
You slap your hand over your mouth. “I’m sorry,” you rush out, “that was supposed to stay in my head.” But all of the small things he’s done, all of the romantic things—cooking you dinner, helping you zip your dresses, buying you jewelry, even just making you feel seen—come rushing to the forefront of your mind. Perhaps you didn’t want to believe it. Or maybe you couldn’t believe someone would feel romantically about you and decided to block out any of his loving gestures.
He’s staring straight into your eyes, and it’s like he’s cast a spell on you, because you feel like you could spill your guts right then and there. And maybe it’s best you do.
“I think maybe I’ve just convinced myself you’re sweet to everyone? That you’re a loverboy at heart and so it hasn’t meant anything more for you to be sweet to me.”
“Sweet on you,” he says.
You blink.
“I am sweet on you, love. While I won’t deny that I am a flirt at heart and do my best to charm most anyone, I have dedicated my time to you as of late. Truth be told, I'd quite like to be your loverboy.” He pauses, looking over your face, a grin spreading across his. “But I suppose your inexperience explains why you’ve been so oblivious.” He’s made himself laugh now.
You lean forward and smack him on the bicep, and even though it is a firm hit, there’s no malice in it, especially with that smile on your face. He’s not wrong at all—you have been oblivious.
Sirius falls back dramatically onto the couch, feigning severe pain. “Fuck, you’ve wounded me.”
You roll your eyes, watching how he clutches his arm and gasps for air. His braids are splayed out, his cheeks a shade of rosy pink. He looks so…gorgeous. You’re in awe of him. It’s like when you stare at the statue of David, just completely entranced by how beautiful this man made of marble is. That’s how looking at Sirius feels. Taking in something so soft and knowing it should be handled with care.
You hold out your hands, wiggling your fingers. “Alright, come on. You’ll recover.”
Sirius grabs hold of you, allowing you to hoist him up. When you do, you could easily touch noses. There’s a new tension in the room, one you’re sure anyone would be able to feel if there were more people there.
You look down when you realize Sirius hasn’t let go of your hands. “So, what do you say?” he asks, bringing your attention back to his face.
Say something, you tell yourself. You’re just staring at each other, and you’ve got to speak. Your heart is pounding, rattling your rib cage. You want to have all of these experiences, you really do, but it’s also so terrifying to think about the vulnerability that comes with them. Though…it’s Sirius. And if you’re being truly honest, you’ve always wished it’d be him. That he’d look at you…the way he is now.
“I—I’d really like that. If you’d really like to deal with my clumsiness and all.” You give him a shy smile, and suddenly he’s threading his fingers with yours. He raises his hands, forcing you to do the same. Your fingers are intertwined, his hand engulfing yours, which is undoubtedly much smaller.
You’re holding hands.
“Look, love. Now you’ve held hands romantically.” He laughs a little at the look on your face, one he’s sure is a result of the awe you’re in. You’ve never done this before. It feels so nice to have his hands in yours. They’re so warm, and sparks are shooting up your wrists. You feel giddy.
You bite your lip in an effort to suppress the excitement that is practically begging to come out. He sees it though. “Is this making you happy, darling?” he asks. You nod enthusiastically, your ears burning. “Perfect. And about what you said, I did warn you that I was head over heels for you, so I might be so weak in the knees that I’ll be clumsy too.” He winks.
You squeeze his fingers experimentally. A little nervously. “You’re sure you want to do all this with me?”
Sirius squeezes back, his thumbs rubbing over your skin. “Of course I am. You trust me, don’t you?” He already knows the answer to that, but how could he not make sure that you feel safe with him?
“Always,” you say.
“Good.” He glances down at your clasped fingers. “Wanna keep holding hands? It’s rather nice, isn’t it?”
You giggle, and he swears his insides turn to jelly at how sweet the sound is. “I think I’ve been spoiled now,” you say. “I might always want to hold your hands.”
Sirius presses a gentle kiss to your knuckle, locking eyes with you as he does it. Your heart kicks against your throat, your chest aching with the lack of air you’re getting.
“You think you’re spoiled now? Best prepare yourself then, love.”
————
Sirius was right.
And that was confirmed when he gave you your first real hug. Not the quick hug you give your grandmother or your friend on the way out the door. But one of those hugs you’ve always seen in muggle romantic comedies or read about in your novels. The kind of hug you’ve never been able to fully wrap your mind around, but have imagined more than is healthy. When you lay in bed at night, clutching your teddy bear and wishing you could feel someone with you.
He gave you your first romantic hug. And you’ve requested one each time he’s available.
The request came after dinner one night, when he was watching you diligently scoop ice cream into a cone for him. Because you wanted to. Sirius hated to boost his own ego, but he had to admit that the way you had changed since furthering your relationship with him had you glowing. It’s not that you weren’t happy before, because you were, but this is different. It’s like he’s unlocked this vault inside of you, one where you’ve stored all this love and kindness, and he gets to experience it.
He’s never seen you so…free.
You’d set the ice cream cone down on the counter for him. “Ta-da,” you said, sticking the spoon back in the container and waiting for him to pick his toppings. He did so, admiring how you’d chosen things you knew he liked, how you were so giddy just from this moment. Your hair was a mess and you were wiping the stickiness from your fingers and he was so overwhelmed by you.
“Sweetheart?” He’d asked, eyeing you as you did a happy little wiggle when you took a bite of the cheesecake ice cream you’d found earlier in the week. Your eyes found his, all doe-like, and your nose wrinkled because of how the pet name flustered you.
He’d been trying those out too, and while getting you to do the same had been slow-going because of your nerves, you loved when he used them for you.
You’d put down your spoon and hummed. “Yeah?”
He stepped closer to you. “Can I hug you, love?”
Your breath had caught, and at the same time that you were feeling immensely nervous and flustered, you were so excited. So excited to be hugged properly and by someone you were over the moon for.
“Please?”
You smiled and he laughed boyishly, moving in until your chests were almost touching. Your pulse hammered against your wrist.
Sirius bent slightly, allowing you to rise up on your toes. He wrapped his arms around your waist, locking them snuggly against your back. Yours went around his neck, squeezing his shoulders. The entirety of his front pressed to yours, and he was so warm.
Your fingers tentatively moved into the hair at the base of his neck, and you tucked your face into his neck, where he immediately felt your smile against his skin.
Suddenly, Sirius had secured his arms tightly around you and lifted you up into the air, hoping to make you laugh. To show how giddy he was feeling. Because in truth, holding you like this, having you be his, filled a void in him he wasn’t even aware of. You were quickly becoming the air he breathed and everything in between.
You kicked your feet and chuckled into his shoulder. He set you back down on the floor, and you hugged him for a bit longer. His were all-embracing, and in his arms, somehow all of your thoughts were immediately shut off, as if this was all the world consisted of. For Sirius, your hug made him feel as though this was the safest place he could ever be, and he knew it would be where he should go when he needed security. And you had this way of getting him to focus, to calm down and be present.
Needless to say, you were both falling for each other. Though it should be mentioned that he’d already started before your relationship furthered, and you had suppressed your heart-eyes for him only because you never thought this kind of feeling was real. That it would be impossible for a boy to treat you this way. You try to let the little girl in you who always hoped for a fairytale romance celebrate every now and then.
There hasn’t been a label put on your relationship, but one night before you got there to hang out with everyone, Sirius calmly told the boys (and girls) that things between you had escalated to more-than-friends. And while they know you, it still felt right to make sure they wouldn’t pester you.
In fact, they were overjoyed to see the both of you act so sweetly towards one another. James whispered in Lily’s ear more than once about how Sirius could not seem to take his eyes off you. Remus helped you in the kitchen and told you how nice it was seeing you so happy. So light. He’d given you a quick hug and wished you the best.
You have never felt so at ease.
Sirius has taken you on a number of dates at this point, some quaint and intimate, some more outgoing. You’ve held hands, hugged. You even got to cuddle with him on the couch.
But you haven’t kissed.
And you want to kiss him, so very bad.
But that is terrifying.
All of your fears revolving that form of affection rush to the surface each time you contemplate when would be best to kiss him, if he wants to kiss you. What if you’re broken and you don’t feel anything? What if there’s no spark? What if, after all this time of hoping kissing would be enjoyable, after craving that intimacy, it just doesn’t work?
Every time you’re around him, all you want is to kiss him. You want that beautiful, sarcastic mouth on yours. You want to know what his plush lips feel like and learn how to kiss properly. You want to fluster him, and you want to be flustered. You want this.
If you asked Sirius, you’d know he wants the same thing. Truthfully, he wants to pin you to the wall and kiss you silly. Until you forget every worry and anything that’s made you sad. Until all you feel is him. He wants to smother your pretty face in kisses. He wants to kiss every inch of you.
Tonight, you’re going to Sirius’ place for a sleepover. And you are going to be brave and kiss him.
————
Your socked feet are in Sirius’ lap, where he’s pushed your pajama pants up your calves so that he can rub his hands across the soft skin there.
Every once in a while, he’ll tickle the underside of your knee just to get you to giggle.
You’ve stopped paying any attention to the movie, and instead are looking at him. The only light in his small living room comes from the television and the array of eclectic lamps scattered around any surface he could fit one on.
It casts shadows on his face, elongating that beautiful nose and the hollows of his cheekbones. His gray eyes look so dark, like storm clouds right before they let out all the rain they’ve been holding in.
“Love?”
Sirius’ voice snaps you and your pounding heart out of your reverie. Your eyes lock with his, and you feel yourself heat up all over. He’s smiling at you.
“Can you tell me what’s happening in the movie?” he asks you, crossing his arms in that oh so cocky way.
Your thumb finds your bottom lip, picking at the skin there and trying to disguise the smile pulling at the corners of your lips. You shake your head, shyly.
He straightens and leans in closer to you. “And why’s that, sweetheart?”
He has a hunch, but he wants you to say what’s on your mind, and you know that’s exactly what he’s waiting for. You know he could sit here all night until you spill your guts.
“‘Cause I’ve been thinking about how bad I wanna kiss you.”
Sirius blushes, but he turns on the charm just as quickly. “Yeah? What’s stopping you?”
He places his hands on your knees. “I’m nervous,” you tell him. “You know I’ll be bad at it, and it might suck because of me, and even if all I want to do is kiss your sweet face, I just…want it to be good.”
He lifts his hand to cup your cheek. “Well, you know if it’s bad, that just means we get to practice.” You snort, and he rests his forehead against yours in an effort to console you and your nerves.
You pull back and put your hands on his chest. It takes everything in you not to grin at how hard his heart is beating, especially with the swell of pride you feel knowing you’re the cause of that.
“I really want to kiss you, Sirius.”
“I really want you to kiss me, darling.”
You inhale, scrunching your nose at him. At this point, you’ve got heart palpitations that are only going to get worse if you don’t act on this.
“Meet me halfway?” you ask, tentatively.
Sirius cups your face, leaning in slightly, but leaving you room to initiate. “Of course,” he breathes.
You take hold of his wrists, fingers trembling. The feeling of his pulse both calms you and makes you sweat.
You move forward, tilting your head to the side a little so you don’t smack noses. You can infer that much, at least. He inches closer each time you do, matching your pace. It almost makes you want to laugh at how slow and careful this is. You could also cry.
When you’re close enough to feel his breath against your lips, you let your eyes close fully, as they’d been helping you find your mark so far. He meets you that last inch, and you are so grateful.
Your lips finally touch in a short, but firm peck. You pull away, smiling, reveling in how soft his lips are.
But now that Sirius has had a little taste of you, he can’t help but want more. He guides you back to him, helping you find a rhythm together. He slots your bottom lip between his, kissing you so brilliantly your brain empties of all thought. You do your best to kiss him back, albeit a little clumsily. He doesn’t seem to mind.
You catch on when he takes turns paying attention to each of your lips, and you try and press all of the passion you feel right back into his.
Every worry you previously had is gone.
You do feel that spark. It feels so magical, so all-encompassing, to be kissed like this. To have Sirius kiss you.
You’re breathless.
When Sirius finally pulls back for air, he presses kisses to your jaw and down your throat. The affection is so close to drawing a whimper from your throat. You know immediately that you could get drunk off of him.
You pull him back up to you by his hair for one more short kiss and he grins boyishly into it.
He starts to laugh.
“Shit,” you start. “If I thought I was spoiled before, I really had no idea what was coming to me.”
Sirius tosses his head back, completely infatuated with you and so fucking gleeful at being yours. Because he is. Yours.
“You’re gonna get sick of me,” you say. “Now I want to kiss you all the time.”
“Oh, love,” Sirius exhales. “What makes you think you’ll have a moment where I’m not the one addicted to you?”
james potter x reader ★ 869 words
"Can you two stop giggling? People are staring."
The boys followed the tallest Marauder through the streets of muggle London, on their way to some American diner Peter had told them about. The purebloods couldn't help but 'ooh' and 'ahh' at all the unusual things they didn't have back in their world. A large neon sign came into view, the 'C' in 'Nick's Diner' flickering on and off. The loud jingle of the bell as they opened the door announced their arrival, only a few other patrons scattered around the diner. A voice from somewhere back in the kitchen called out.
"Welcome in, take a seat anywhere you'd like!"
They decided on a red leather booth near the back corner, a 'Taxi Driver' poster plastered right above the table. The black and white checkerboard flooring and jukebox made it feel like they were in that film 'Grease' their friend Lily makes them watch every other week.
"Evening boys, how's everyone doin'? My name is Y/N, can I get anyone started with a drink?"
James thinks he must've gotten hit by a muggle car crossing the street to get here because he believes he's seeing an angel in person. You just look so pretty, in your little red dress and white apron, curly hair tied up in a ponytail. Your smile. Merlin, he was going to need to get his eyes checked again after dinner because your smile was truly blinding. Were those wedding bells he was hearing?
"I think James over here is good, all that drool should last him a good week or two."
A hard slap on the back took him out of his daze. His eyebrows pinched together and he was about to say something back to Sirius when he realized he was drooling, quickly wiping his mouth with the sleeve of his sweater before turning back to you with red cheeks and a sheepish smile.
"A Coca-Cola for me, please."
You think the blushing boy before you couldn't get any cuter. You grinned and nodded, telling them you'd be back with their drinks as you strolled back to the kitchen.
Once James finally took his eyes away from your swinging ponytail, he was met with three shit-eating grins. He glares back but their smiles do not falter, causing James to scoff with furrowed eyebrows. "What."
Dinner goes by in a flash with the friends enjoying their meals and sneakily changing the music from the jukebox, wands hidden under the table. The boys notice they just so happen to have a very attentive waitress, your lovely self coming around to their table often. It was interesting that even after they'd finished eating, you would appear to fill their almost overflowing cups with water or drop off extra napkins. James did nothing but send a dopey grin your way, and he does consider talking to you but freezes the second your big brown eyes stare back at him.
Remus groaned as he watched his friend be so pathetically consumed by you, setting down his now empty mug. "Prongs, tell me. Are you going to ask her out or just sit there with your tongue out like Padfoot begging for someone to throw him a bone?"
"I do not beg!" The dog animagi sputtered, hitting the dirty blonde beside him, "Tell 'em Pete!"
"Piss off Moony, it's not that easy. She's perfect."
Tumblr media
Your shift was over, and truthfully it could've been worse. The table of four boys really made up for the more sour customers you had earlier in the day. The disappointment on your face was obvious when you had gone to clean their table and there was no number left behind on any of the napkins.
After finishing your closing duties you walked out the back door and turned the corner to find a large eagle owl perched upon the diner's bike rack. It wasn't too common to see owls in this area, but the shine of its feathers and well maintained claws tell you it's not from around here. Taking careful steps towards the bird, you offer your hand. It expanded its wings and flapped them twice at you before butting its head against the palm of you hand. You smiled and smoothed the beautiful creature's feathers back, now realizing there was an envelope sitting between the owl's talons. Taking the envelope and opening it up, you find a letter written to who you presumed to be yourself.
Dearest Y/N,
You have me infatuated with your beautiful smile and killer table waiting skills. I'm pretty funny and can show you a good time. Not like that though, unless you wanted t
What I mean to say is, I would throw all of England's tea in the ocean again if it meant I could win the honor of taking you out. On a date that is, not like killing you. I promise to make the night magical. I'll come by the diner next week with flowers and hopefully you don't punch me in the face for being a creep.
Yours,
James Potter
Smiling to yourself, you gave the owl one last pet and a thank you before pulling your wand out and disapparating home.
────── ☾ ──────
“Hey, can I sit here?”
You were eleven. The boys in the train compartment all turned their heads toward you. One boy in particular, with brown curly hair and glasses, stood and approached the door.
“Hi, I’m James,” he said, sticking his hand out for you to shake and giving you a warm smile.
You told him your name and sat down across from him.
That’s when the crush started.
Through your first few years at Hogwarts, you and James grew extremely close, and became borderline inseparable. He was your best friend in the world, and you were his. Your infatuation grew with time, watching as he grew up and came into his own, his features morphing and sharpening with age.
When you were thirteen, you met Lily. She had been sorted into Gryffindor the same year as you and James, but you never spoke until your third year. She was charming, pretty, and loved a good laugh. You and her became fast friends, and you introduced her to James.
Whenever you sat in a group for breakfast, you would steal glances at James, who would be looking at Lily next to you. During classes, when you sat between them, you could feel James’s head turn toward you, but if you looked back at him, he was staring straight across you, fixated on Lily as she tucked a piece of fiery red hair behind her ear.
For years, you watched him gawk at her, and it caused you to hold your tongue about your developing feelings for him. Your friendship was so pure, it wasn’t worth ruining with a confession, especially if it would lead nowhere. Why tell him you liked him, just for him to tell you he liked Lily?
By the time you were sixteen, James was on top of the world as captain and seeker of Gryffindor Quidditch. He, along with Sirius and Remus, knew everyone and everything happening at Hogwarts. James in particular was the top of the class, and often had to help you with assignments. He still maintained your friendship, working to make time for you, but his popularity meant one thing you hated: attention from girls.
Girls often threw themselves at him, as they did Sirius, but he mostly turned them away. Waiting on Lily, you thought.
You and James had fun, and you made a habit of jumping on his back and making him carry you around. You weren’t much different in size, but he liked showing off how strong he was, and you liked wrapping your body around him.
Girls would often approach him, and when he entertained their attention, you would complain, “James, I’m getting loopy.”
James would bend over slightly, continuing to talk to the girl in front of him as you jumped on his back. He would hook his arms underneath your legs, your arms wrapping around his neck.
“Gotta go,” James would say, dismissing himself as he stood tall, walking completely unobstructed with your weight on his back.
“You’re a child,” he laughed.
“Can’t help when I’m tired,” you would say, resting your head on his shoulder.
One afternoon, you were taking a walk on the grounds to find a quiet place in nature to study, and you saw James and Lily alone together. It would seem innocent to anyone else; they were side by side and just talking and laughing, but to you, it was so much more. James looked enamored, like he was the happiest he’d ever been, as they strolled along the path together. You desperately wanted to know what they were talking about, but you didn’t want to expose yourself for liking James, so you simply turned around and retreated back to the castle.
You were upset, but you knew you had no right to be. James wasn’t yours, and you had never told Lily of your feelings. If they liked each other, there was nothing you could do. Nothing, except, of course, pushing it down and asking Remus out.
“You’re kidding,” Remus said, shocked by your request.
“It’s just a trip to Hogsmeade, Remus, it’s really not that big of a deal.”
“You’re crazy if you think I’m saying yes.”
“Well that’s pretty rude,” you scoffed.
“No! Not like that, I just mean-“ Remus’s voice trailed off as you listened intently, “you’re James’s best friend.”
“Technically so are you,” you responded.
“But he, like— whatever. Not a date?”
“Not a date, sure,” you clarified, honestly just happy to accept the company, “just two friends hanging out. That’s a thing girls and boys can do, right?”
Remus looked at you strangely. “Yeah?”
You smiled at him, telling him you’d see him later that night before walking away. Sirius slapped his arm. “James is gonna kill you, you know,” he said.
Remus just shrugged. Of course he knew that James liked you, and always had, but this wasn’t a date, so what did it matter? He was also allowed to be friends with you.
You and Remus enjoyed the evening walking through the streets of Hogsmeade and sharing a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, and you fought with every cell in your being to avoid bringing up James. Every time Remus tried to, you shut him down and changed the subject. You wanted to vent about him, but admitting your feelings to someone else made them all the more real, and you weren’t ready to face true rejection quite yet.
When you returned, you entered the common room together, and saw James and Sirius draped over the couch.
“Hey,” James said, sitting up as you both approached the couch, “where were you guys?”
“Just hanging out,” you shrugged nonchalantly, dropping down onto the couch next to him.
“I didn’t know you guys hung out, like, alone,” he said, forcing a small laugh on the last words to make them seem lighthearted.
“I didn’t know you and Lily hung out alone either,” you responded, catching his gaze for a full thirty seconds before you joked, “you just upset I finally have a friend that isn’t you or her?”
James forced a chuckle in response, but there was a slight bit of tension in the air between you both.
Things stayed the same as always as time passed. You hoped your time with Remus would spark some jealousy within James, but he didn’t seem to care. Every time you looked at him, his eyes were next to you and on Lily.
The one thing that did change, however, is James started throwing around a pet name for you.
You were excused from Potions one day to grieve the loss of your grandfather, who was an extremely important part of your life. You adored him, and you had a close relationship.
James found you alone in the west tower, crying at the bottom of the curved staircase.
“I figured something was up when you didn’t show,” he spoke, sitting down next to you, “what’s wrong?”
“My grandfather passed away this morning,” you explained, “I received word from my mother just before Potions. I just couldn’t bring myself to go.”
You wiped your nose with the back of your robe sleeve, taking a deep breath to calm your crying.
“Oh, angel, I’m so sorry.”
Your heart skipped a beat. James had never called you angel before. It felt so intimate, so endearing, and so personal. He threw around terms like “doll” and “baby” to other girls, but never angel.
You rested your head against his chest and calmed your breathing.
The next day, James missed you in the common room in the morning, first seeing you for the day in Defense Against the Dark Arts. “You doing okay, angel?” he asked.
You blushed at his words, and he caught it, but assumed it was because you were upset and fighting back tears. “I’m okay,” you smiled.
A few weeks later, James was shitfaced drunk at a Ravenclaw party, sat in a large group with you and your friends. You stood to get another bottle, and James called out to you, “Hey, angel, can you get me one too?”
That was the first time he ever used the term in front of Lily, or in front of anyone, and it slightly confused you, but also thrilled you. You handed him the bottle, and he watched you sink back down to the floor, sitting cross-legged next to Lily. When you met his gaze again, he diverted his attention to Lily, and you sighed.
He then started casually calling you angel.
It was nearing the end of your term, and therefore your time at Hogwarts, and your patience was gone. You had nothing to lose. If James was weird about it, or rejected you, you could just ice him out, and without Hogwarts, you could avoid ever seeing him again. That’s not what you wanted, but it was a possible worst case scenario.
After finals were over, you asked to speak to James alone.
You pulled him into a now-empty classroom, shutting the door behind you for privacy and taking a deep breath.
“Everything ok?” he asked, leaning back against one of the desks.
“I need to talk to you,” you replied.
“Yeah, I get that,” James giggled, “what’s up?”
Both of your hearts were pounding, and both of you assumed the feeling was solitary.
“I need to tell you something,” you said, your voice small and shaky.
“Okay, you’re kinda starting to scare me, angel.”
You took a deep breath, slowly exhaling as you tried to steady yourself. “You genuinely have no idea what I’m gonna say?”
James was slightly taken aback by your question. “I don’t remember doing anything bad.”
“No, James-“ you rubbed your hands over your eyes, desperate for him to understand you without you having to be clear or coherent at all. You didn’t want to say it out loud, you just wanted him to know already.
“I have no idea what’s going on,” he said.
You sighed. You closed your eyes and bowed your head, hoping you would be able to speak the words while simultaneously pretending he wasn’t there. “I like you.”
“Aweh, thanks, I like you too,” he said.
“No, oh my god-“ you spun around and paced for a moment, sighing loudly before stopping in front of him again. “No, like, I like you.”
“Oh.”
You looked up at him. That’s it? That’s all he had to say? Oh?
“Yeah.”
“I thought you liked Remus?” James spoke, confused by your confession.
“What would make you think I like Remus?”
“I don’t know, probably the dates you keep going on with him?” James threw his hands up, as if it was obvious.
“We’re just friends, I haven’t been-“ your voice trailed off for a moment. “James?”
He looked down at you expectantly. “Yeah?”
“I know we’ve been friends forever,” you started, “and I really don’t want you to hate me or this to be ruined, but term is ending, and you should probably know that I’ve had feelings for you since we first met.”
You exhaled, letting out a heavy breath that you weren’t aware you were holding in.
“I-“
You cut him off before he could respond, “and I know you like Lily, so I’m sorry I’m telling you this, I’m just kinda tired of holding it in.”
James furrowed his brows in confusion. “What?”
“I don’t want to fuck up whatever it is you two have going on,” you said, and it was genuine, “I know you really like her.”
James tilted his head to the side. “Based on what?”
You returned his confused gaze. “What do you mean?”
“Why would you think I’m into Lily?”
“Be-because you are?”
“No I’m not,” he defended.
“James, it’s okay, you don’t have to lie to me, every single time we’re with her I can see you staring at her.”
James instantly knew what you were talking about.
“No, no, that’s not it,” he stopped you, “she’s just always the closest thing to shift my attention to when you catch me.”
You paused for a moment. “Catch you what?” you asked.
“Staring at you.”
You were so taken aback that you physically stepped backwards. “What?”
“Mhm,” he said, confident.
“But- but I’ve seen you alone with her, walking the grounds-“
“Lily is the only person on this planet I talk to about you.”
“About me?”
James reached a hand out and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear, and sighed of relief. “Angel, I’ve been in love with you since you first asked to sit with me on the train.”
You opened your mouth to speak several times, but only small noises came out. You were speechless as James wrapped an arm your waist and pulled you flush against him.
“But-“
“Get out of your own head and listen to me,” James said.
“But I-“
“Shut up,” James sighed, pressing his lips onto yours to keep you from refusing to believe him any longer. Your muscles relaxed as you melted into his touch, your hand caressing the side of his face as you kissed him back. Your lips moved in sync with his. Molded with him, you were home.
James’s hand moved down from your waist to grab the flesh of your ass, pushing your hips harder against his, causing you to whine into the kiss. James moved his hands lower and lower until they were behind your thighs, prompting you to jump. He caught your legs as they wrapped around his waist, and he spun you around, seating you on the desk, his lips never breaking from yours.
Once you were seated, his hands held the sides of your face, desperate to deepen the kiss even more. You had both waited forever for this moment, and you both wanted to savor it as much as you possibly could.
You whimpered when he pulled your hips against his again, grinding his clothed cock against your clothed core.
He pulled away and smiled at you.
“What?” you blushed.
James nearly growled, “you sound even prettier than I dreamed you would.”
You looked deep into his eyes, and could tell he was being genuine. “You’ve been dreaming about me?”
“Feels like every night,” he said, his voice low as he slowly pulled your shirt above your head, and then ran a hand up and down your side, sending shivers down your body, “I’ve dreamed about simple little things, like holding your hand, kissing you, holding you…”
A hand moved to your skirt, pushing it up to your waist and beginning to move your underwear to the side as he continued, “and I’ve dreamed about fucking you, and watching you come around my cock.”
His words sent chills down your spine, his lips connecting to your neck as you sighed in pleasure.
He ran a finger between your folds, sucking the side of your neck as you shuddered. He collected your wetness before slowly inserting a finger into you.
You threw your head back, holding onto James’s shoulders to keep yourself upright.
“This all for me?” James asked.
“Mhm,” you moaned, unable to speak.
He slowly pulled out and pushed in his finger, watching your mouth fall open.
Your fingers ran through the curls on the back of his head, holding him against you.
“J-James,” you moaned, his palm applying pressure to your clit and doubling the stimulation.
James dipped his head for a moment and released a low, guttural moan from his throat.
“You okay?” you breathed out.
James giggled, his hand never stopping. “Did you just ask me if I’m okay?”
You nodded your head yes.
“I’m literally fingering you right now,” James said.
The reality of the situation dawned on you, and you realized what you asked, and you couldn’t help but laugh. James laughed with you, continuing to fuck you with his fingers as he swallowed your noises with a kiss. You were so, so happy.
The joy and laughter of the situation brought you close to the edge, your walls squeezing around James’s finger. He felt it, and immediately pulled his finger out of you.
You gasped at the loss of contact, the cool air hitting your wet core. You looked up at James, your eyes confused and desperate.
James smirked at you. “I wanna fuck you, angel, it’s no fun if you come already.”
“Yeah, but, but I-“
“There’s more where that came from,” James said, placing a kiss onto your forehead, assuring you this was not a solitary event. “For right now, though, please just let me fuck you.”
You nodded your head up and down rapidly, as eager as ever to feel James inside of you.
James pushed his pants down and freed himself, giving his cock a few strokes as he looked down at your body. He lined himself up with your entrance, looking to you for permission.
“I’ve wanted you for so long, James, please,” you spoke.
James immediately pushed his tip inside of you, and you inhaled a sharp breath. James slowly pushed the rest of his length into you, stopping once he was fully inside of you, allowing you to adjust to his size.
“Shit, you’re big,” you moaned.
James moaned back in response, your words making him harder as he slowly pulled partially out of you.
“Can I?” he asked.
“Please, James, move,” you answered.
James pushed back into you, your wetness lubricating his cock as you laid your back down onto the desk, no longer having the strength to hold yourself up anymore.
James took the opportunity to grab your breast, watching as your body moved up and down in sync with his thrusts. Your head was almost entirely off the desk, your neck tilting slightly backward, causing each moan to come out strangled.
Laying down meant James could see your entire body as he fucked you, and he was losing control at the sight of your breasts bouncing with each hit of his hips.
He picked up his pace, harshly grabbing both of your hips in order to push you into him with each thrust.
“Fuck,” you cried out, the entire classroom echoing as the legs of the desk shifted slightly across the floor.
“You feel so fucking good,” James praised.
You whined and whimpered and moaned beneath him, unbearably turned on by the feeling of his cock finally inside of you.
James moved one of his hands to your core, rubbing circles against your clit as he fucked you.
Your body jolted upward and you grabbed at James’s shoulders, pulling yourself up and hanging off of his neck. You were eager to come around him, and you kissed him hard.
“Please, James, make me come,” you begged, hoping your pleas would help him reach his climax as well. Though the sex wasn’t too long, you were so aroused by finally having him, and you knew you couldn’t last much longer.
James began to piston his hips into you even harder, determined to bring you to your climax. He wanted to savor the sex, but it would be so fucking hot to see you come in a matter of minutes. It stroked his ego, knowing that you were so hot for him that you were going to come from just a few minutes of stimulation.
“James, I-“
“Come for me, angel.”
The use of the pet name in your current position was enough to push you over the edge. You squeezed James’s cock, your legs shaking around James’s waist as you came.
“Shit, where can I come?” James asked through shaky breaths, his thrusts becoming sloppy as he chased his own high after feeling you squeeze him.
“In me.”
“You sure?”
“I’m- yes, I w-want your come in me, please, Jamie, please-“
The nickname and the pleading had James coming inside of you with a final few sharp thrusts of his hips. He groaned as he came, settling inside of you for a few moments while he caught his breath.
He slowly pulled out of you, watching his seed spill out of your hole when he was out. He couldn’t help but lean down and lick the juices up, savoring the taste. You shuddered when his tongue touched you, you were so overstimulated.
James helped you stand, your body aching from the uncomfortableness of the wood beneath you.
“You alright?” James checked in.
“I’m alright,” you confirmed, leaning upward to place a kiss on his lips.
“You able to walk back out there?”
Your legs were shaky. You tried to take a few steps, but you nearly collapsed, and James caught a hold of you.
He smiled at you, turning his back to you and bending down.
“You serious?” you asked.
“‘F course.”
“James, I’m still wet. Won’t it get-“
“You jumping up or not?” James asked.
You hopped onto his back, holding onto him for dear life as he stood tall and swung the classroom door open.
At that very moment, of course, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Lily walked past the room.
“Oh hey you two,” Sirius said, noticing how unkempt your hair was and how flushed James looked, “had some fun, did we?”
You reached a hand out to hit his arm as James stepped in front of him, joining the group with you wrapped around him.
“Child,” he whispered to you, referencing you being carried on his back.
“At least this time I have valid reasoning for not being able to walk.”
Tumblr media
“You’re sure the house apparel is okay?”
The words tumble out your mouth as you smooth out your blue sweater for the fifth time over the ten minute walk back to Harry’s Parent’s house. You thought meeting his family after your date instead of before would ease some of your nerves, but the opposite had occurred. Dinner had giving you more time to ponder over all the things that could go wrong.
While you don’t doubt that his family is just as amazing as he is, meeting them is working you up a little. For some reason, meeting them just feels so official. Not that you aren’t sure about Harry. You plan to cling to his side until he’ll no longer have you. (Which you hope is a day that’ll never come.) It just sends a kaleidoscope of fast-fluttering butterflies to your stomach to know things were getting serious. That he was serious about you.
“I’ve told you, it’s fine.” He squeezes your hand And kisses the side of it. The affection is almost enough to make you drop the anxiousness completely. “They won’t pay much attention to your sweater. And even if they do, you look great. Better than that. You look perfect.” His words bring a warm flush to your cheeks as you nibble on your lip, now with something akin to bashfulness.
“I just want this to go—“
“—perfectly, I know.”
His smile is calm and kind, like you’re being completely reasonable and not freaking out over nothing. “If I’m honest, I don’t see how it could go any other way. You’re perfect, so everything you do is just as. By extension.” A sheepish giggle bubbles from your throat as you squeeze his hand. “Science?” You tease as your shoulders start to relax “Hardly. Everything you do is magic,” he stops walking to give you a little smirk. “Literally.” You reward him with another, louder and more boisterous, laugh. (Next time he wants to go for full belly.)
As you approach his house, you look at him one more time for reassurence. He presses his lips to your cheek. “They’ll love you. Seriously, what’s not to like?” He kisses your other cheek. “And even if they don’t—which won’t happen—they’ll have to warm up to you because I really, really like you. More than that. I love you.” Your eyes widen like saucers, but he chooses is to ignore it for now. “So this’ll be fine, yeah?” He doesn’t wait for your answer as he pushes the door open, dragging you through the door.
