Happy Mermay! It took me this long to realize it was may- I’m very slow- but anyways, take lovely Sunny! I haven’t drawn sirens or mermaids in such a long time- probably a year since I have. Now here’s a question for you: would you pet them?

I know I’m late, but ever since I stumbled across Mer Sun & Moon in the summer of August 2023, and then got really into MeryMay and the concept of an aquatic Daycare Attendant, I vowed to participate in the AU somehow.

I got so into it, that ever since I was exposed to the Mer Attendant, I have slowly been working on my own personal designs for them along with my own story.

These are not their final designs but I’m getting close! I’m still figuring out how to draw them...

I’m a bit obsessed with him so far

After many, many, weeks of the program crashing because the drawing is too complex for it,

I have finally finished it.

(Get this, I started working on this drawing, when chapter 16 was released)

Anyway! Here is the final piece!

One drawing is with y/n, and the other is with me, since the reader is intertwined with the story. (And I'm also the reader)

This was from a dream I had with mer or siren Sun and Moon and this was the Sun scene from my dream it hasn't left my mind in the slightest the background and the river rocks took long enough along with the trees and mer/siren Sun himself I just remember at the end of the dream Sun and Moon get separated, put into an aquarium and what I think maybe? Y/n or myself got a job at said aquarium and that's it I have never felt so happy and disappointed that that's where it left off and never seen again.

I've had this design like all month but am now finally finishing it, my contribute to mermay like 21 days in lol

I've been wanting to do my own siren/mer design for Sun (and Moon) for so long but honestly couldn't think of squat, so I bought Subnautica to help inspire me but also because I really wanted to play it! That led me to make this design!!!! I imagine him not being the best at swimming or at least swimming for a long time kinda like a cheetah, how it's only quick bursts, so along with latching on to pray the venom from his teeth numbs other creatures so he can latch onto them like a parasite with barely any detection and get a free ride to further destinations. The little appendages are also used to latch onto a mate so they don't get taken by a touch current like seahorses.
