Pax Britannica and Pax Americana
Britain held the British world order for 100 years after Wellington's landslide victory over Napoleon in 1815.
Its ill-fated successor, the United States, failed to seize its chance and nearly lost its hegemony to The Reds, but has yet to do so.
China is a country that only advocated Pax Sinica, which advocated hegemony in the Asian region, and has already perished in the Opium War, in which Britain won a complete victory.
China today is nothing more than a zombie ruled by the Communist Party, a fraudster. America, take it back! Why, breaking one dam is enough.
Rei Morishita

"In other words, Jiangxia Lab is a core platform built by CCP and the People’s Liberation Army, which is composed of experienced professionals, to complete resource integration and industry chain in the bioweapon development and countermeasure field. During the successful practice of the pandemic, the CCP enacted laws to deeply centralize public health information and censor academic data, which facilitates cognitive interference in unrestricted biowarfare. At the same time, the heavy investment in biomedicine and global health makes the secret military-dominant projects more rampant.
Worth note, the original article on the TyRo-CoV-162275 virus was published in Virologica Sinica, which is “an international journal which aims at presenting the cutting-edge research on viruses all over the world.” As the official journal of the Chinese Society for Microbiology, the Editor-in-Chief is “Batwoman” Dr. Zheng-Li Shi in WIV, and the editorial office is located in WIV. Many scientists on the editor board of this journal have been identified as contributors to the development of COVID-19 virus and CCP’s unrestricted bioweapon projects, including former China CDC director George Fu Gao, “bat woman’s mentor” Linfa Wang, WIV director Yan-Yi Wang, Chinese bioweapon General Yi-Gang Tong, Senior Colonel Cheng-Feng Qin, Chinese military scientists in the US Lan-Ying Du, Chinese scientists in the US with extensive collaboration with CCP and People’s Liberation Army Drs. Zhi-Ming Zheng, Pei-Yong Shi, Shan Lu, Li-Shan Su, Hai-Tao Guo, Li-Jun Rong … There are also some foreign virologists on the board from the US, Canada, and Europe. (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/virologica-sinica/about/aims-and-scope)
As an essential link in the CCP’s unrestricted biowarfare strategy, Virologica Sinica provides a multi-functional platform to promote “scientific data” consistent with the CCP’s narratives, influence, and compromise scientists during collaboration, and amplify the CCP’s international impacts to manipulate public opinions and related policies. Tactically, it’s to coherently grasp of the discourse in the cognitive war." - Li-Meng Yan

Vaidas Žemaitis. Susigrąžinkime VALSTYBĘ! (video)

A common, widespread fungus that's probably hiding in your garden soil right this moment is capable of transforming into a formidable predator when it gets too hungry. Scientists have known about the hunting abilities of Arthrobotrys oligospora since at least the 1980s, but they're still in the process of figuring out exactly how this otherwise peaceful fungus transforms into a worm's worst nightmare. Now, a research team from Taiwan and the US led by molecular biologist Hung-Che Lin from Academia Sinica in Taipei, has unraveled some of the strategies the fungus uses to trap and consume its prey. Usually, A. oligospora survives on organic matter that's already dead. But when nitrogen supplies become scarce, it does what it must to survive. This fungi is just one of several that can trap and kill prey when necessary.

As much as I adore the xeric flora of south Texas, they are an absolute pain the ass to take pictures of, especially in bright light. Just trust me when I say these are three distinct Ephedra antisyphilitica. Like other species of Ephedra, it's actually a gymnosperm, producing cones instead of flowers, and has been traditionally used to make tea by indigenous peoples. The scientific name refers to its historical use as a treatment for gonorrhea and syphilis. The genus does contain a range of chemical compounds with pharmacological potential, but North American species are not as well-studied in this regard as Eurasian ones, most notably ma huang, aka Ephedra sinica.

12th-Century Sun Wukong
I was happy to learn that the Monkey Pilgrim (Hou xingzhe, 猴行者), Sun Wukong's antecedent, appears among a large set of late-12th-century ritual scrolls portraying the famed 500 Arhats. [1] He is depicted as a monkey-headed, black robe-wearing figure with the lower half of his body obscured by clouds, making him hard to see unless you zoom in on the image. He holds what appears to be the head of a staff in his left hand (fig. 1). Our hero is located just behind Tripitaka, who is riding a white horse led by a spirit-soldier(?) or perhaps Sha Wujing’s antecedent (fig. 2). The full scroll shows this scene happening above the heads of four arhats (fig. 3), indicating that the Tang Monk is considered to be one of these Buddhist sages.
I actually found the simian immortal by accident while researching an article about Tripitaka’s Buddha title. Dr. Meir Shahar tells me that this depiction of Monkey doesn’t appear to have been mentioned in previous JTTW scholarship (personal communication, June 3, 2023). [2] Therefore, I’m so very happy that I can share this discovery with my readers!
For more ancient depictions of Sun Wukong, please see my past article:

Notes:
1) To learn more about these paintings, see Zhou (2021).
2) Dr. Benjamin Brose tells me that the painting appears in a Japanese source, but the Monkey Pilgrim is only listed as an “ape-like figure” (personal communication, June 3, 2023). See Nara kuniritsu hakubutsukan, Tōkyō bunkazai kenkyūjo henshū, 2014, p. 86.
