...well shoot, I just had the craziest idea.

What if Vertin can *hear* the storm coming?

We know Vertin's arcane skills is connected to music/melody, her tuning, but even in her own song she says "rhythm isn't right" about storm coming, Vertin also tells that she knew how the timeline worked for as ever as she knew.

You must've seen the loading screen about the storm right? There at the end. It says "as the melody of time comes" so what if Vertin with her music related arcane skills can hear the storm approaching, or at the very least it's melody.

I know this doesn't have anywhere near good evidence but it's still food for thought.

It's a very neat idea! Smoltin was a frog catching expert because she sensed the rain the same time as the frogs outside 🐸 I say that like frogs aren't noisy as heck when it's about to rain lol. Doesn't take much to figure it out but Vertin having a rain sensor just makes sense to me.

I think we talked about it before, but Vertin's ability to predict the Storm is somewhat unique. I think next update will give us more on that, or at least I hope so!

Also, I just want to see them do more with Vertin's musical talents as a whole. Her arcanum is music based. She has a piano. She used to sing in a choir with the other Foundation kids. She clearly has a strong connection with music! Vertin and her bestie Regulus making a song together would be so wholesome. Or maybe when she practices playing her piano, other members linger around the door to listen for a bit. Suitcase fam content.

Types of Wizards! ✨

❥ This was just a fun idea since I’ve been reading lots of fantasy headcanons, I wanted to try! Plus I don’t see too many for magic-y stuff out there so this gave me a good idea!

❥ Also! Most of these are female centered but some of this can be for boys too! I just prefer the term wizard because it sounds cooler lol. But thank you! Enjoy!

Storybook Wizards 🤎

Usually has an owl or sparrows as a companion.

Quills are made from barn owl feathers.

Wands are made from cinnamomum trees, elm trees, or hazel trees.

Likes to feed the crickets that sing on the bookshelves. Some think it’s gross but they’re very nice!

Uses golden wax seals for nearly everything.

Collects old trinkets they find or receive from friends. They don’t work anymore or are just old, but has tried fixing them up.

Loves both books & scrolls, but thinks books are easier to hold onto. That one friend who decides to read one more chapter, but ends up reading all night.

Loves to wish on stars or dandelions but is too embarrassed to tell anyone.

Seems like a bit of a hermit, but is actually really friendly! Loves to interact with people & exchange different interests, quite talkative at times.

Either works at an archive or some kind of library, has a special little key that works only for them.

Weather Wizards 🌩️

Usually has a bird of prey as a companion, but don’t worry they’re friendly 😅🙏

Quills are made from crow feathers.

Wands are made from maple trees, pine trees, or baobab trees.

The ultimate bird parent!! Birds love them & they’re always putting out bird seed feeders or scraps of veggies.

Lives alone in a tall tower in the middle of the woods. Only goes to town when necessary & will turn into a grumpy pants if you knock on their door.

Sometimes storm clouds or rain will swirl around their house, usually due to spell testing or potions.

The weather is actually pretty nice when they’re around! Cool breezes, clear skies, warm sunny days; tries to deny it’s their work until the sunshine gets brighter.

Collects clean water in mason jars or glass bottles when it rains.

Likes to climb rooftops & chart the stars.

Can always sense when a storm is approaching, doesn’t matter what kind they’re spot on. Likely their job is to keep them at bay as a guardian or lookout.

Love Wizards 💝

Usually has a dove or a type of songbird as a companion.

Quills are made from white swan feathers.

Wands are made from cherry trees, camellia trees, or jasmine shrubs.

Has an easier time communicating with fauna.

Ladybugs are automatically attracted to them & will usually bring good luck to them throughout the day.

Stores their potions in old perfume bottles but will make perfume as a small side job. Has to label everything though.

Has a small rose bush growing outside of their window; likes to talk to it & believes plants have feelings.

Super affectionate! Either the mom friend or the cutsey clingy child friend.

Never forgets Valentine’s Day!! (I’m sorry I know it was last week!) Goes over the top every year & everyone either gets a bouquet or a little goodie bag. The size of the gift depends on who you are sometimes.

Business is a postal service for relationship problems but gets a lot of love letters to proofread. A bit embarrassed receiving one addressed to them.

Swamp Wizards 🐸

Usually has a crane or even a heron as a companion. But sometimes that makes it hard to get in them the house...

Quills are made from duck feathers.

Wands are made of mangrove trees, dogwood trees, or lilypad stems.

Defined as the oddballs of wizardry. They are known to travel a lot but usually live alone.

Uses an old timey ferry boat to get around, but has to use magic to get the paddle wheel moving. It’ll creak & stop like an old engine.

Probably the most experienced in floral/nature magic & their house is like an absolute jungle. Will even let moss grow out because “it wants to be there.”

Has tried more than once to kiss a frog & see if it’ll turn into their true love, but carries medicine around just in case.

Really loves milkweed flowers & will set up cute bundles in their home to make it smell good.

The best cook in the world but mostly uses magic to help.

Probably the friendliest person you’ll meet! Will tell all sorts of stories about their travels, the different kinds of people they’ve met, where to find the best berry bushes, how to care for tadpoles— It might be awhile before you can introduce yourself…

In Sweden we celebrate summer's arrival and also today being the longest day of the year in terms of sunlight.

We eat good food and strawberries (lots and lots of strawberries) and just spend time celebrating with family and friends!

some people make a midsummer pole and dance around it for fun, kinda like how you dance around the christmastree (we also like to sing about tiny frogs for some reason?? 🐸)

I always loved how qsmp celebrated different holidays and stuff so I thought I'd share one from sweden today o//

Glad Midsommar! Or, happy belated midsummer’s eve, here’s a throwback to  "Små grodorna", or "The little frogs" from last year. Dancing or jumping around a flower dressed pole, wearing flowercrowns on our heads, while singing små grodorna or "the little frogs" might be one of the weirder Swedish midsommar traditions... 🐸

Shrek Princesses Rewrite Edition 🐸👑🍎👡😴💇

Based on my own headcanons & plans for their roles in my rewrite of Shrek 3. Because if I can redeem Artie and Charming then the ladies deserve that same chance!!

Had a private tutor during her time at the tower

When food wasn't available she took to eating lava bread and smoked rats and bugs

Is heat resistant

She did venture out the tower when dragon was away

Studied martial arts through books and watching on the magic mirror

Her friends often stopped by to visit her, but as they got settled in adult lives grew too busy

Fiona loves kids and hopes to give her own children a childhood she never had

Does carry some resentment towards her parents she only vents in private tho

She can sing but on a normal range. Any higher it well... The bird scene in the first film

She loves swimming and water activities partly due to being surrounded by lava half of her life

Her favorite colors are green and blue they remind her of nature and to her, nature = freedom

Has bleached her hair a few times

She makes mud based beauty products and sell them on the side

Still listens to Sir Justin's music and has been to his concert

Knows of Artie's existence; they bond a lot over their parental issues

Fiona mentors artie how to defend himself, he has some proficiency in martial arts

Inherited her red hair from her grandmother

The reason Fiona was an ogre is partly due to her father being the Frog prince and guess where frogs live?

It's also believed that one of fiona's ancestors actually married an ogre but VERY long ago; the curse just brought out her genes

Fiona loves to stargaze; she also collected obsidian and volcanic rock

Sleeping Beauty

Is in a long distance relationship with the Sandman

Her dress is green because that's the color her disney counterpart never wears

Is the last one to arrive at a ball and the first one to leave

She has beds in every room but is usually found sleeping on the floor

Doesn't want children because she's too exhausted and fears any potential kids might inherit her condition

She actually understands Fiona dating someone who isn't human nor royalty, she dates the freaking god of SLEEP

Has the most patience with Snow because she sleeps through her nonsense anyways

Just like the video game adaptation of the third movie, she has the power to summon an army

Was the most hurt by Rapunzel's betrayal, they were the closest due to their similar backstories and lack of a biological family

Rapunzel

Used to date another prince but he never came back to her tower so she eventually rescued herself. This is why she latched on to Charming in canon (and Bruce in my fanfic)

After getting charged with treason Rapunzel is made to serve community service. She hates it but considers it better than exile

She wears gold to match her hair

She owns a lot of wigs after suffering loss of her real hair (which she shaved off).

Cinderella

Cleans her own home

Lives in a smaller house compared to the rest

The others tease her for it but understands it's to make it easier for her to clean; having spent her whole childhood cleaning a giant estate

Is a master at blacksmithing and glassblowing; what she didn't JUST clean her home she had to do repairs too

Carries some cleaning supplies

Is VERY careful in leaving crumbs

Dislikes rats and cockroaches; she has a cat named Chandelier for this reason (my twist on Disney's Cinderella)

Is working to unlearn her people pleasing

has a better relationship with her stepsisters as adults

Her prince suffers from face blindness and as such gets her confused with other ladies. He even mistook Shrek for her

She doesn't mind kids but she rather work on reconciling with her stepfamily and heal from the abuse than pass down any baggage

The third strongest princess due to years of heavy lifting

Had the closest relationship with Fairy Godmother; was even considered a potential suitor for Charming but Cindy didn't like his vanity and immaturity.

When Cindy finds out about their plan to break up Fiona's marriage she is saddened but not surprised given Charming's past behavior

Snow White

She's my least favorite but I can explain why she acts like that

Developed an Ice Queen persona to protect herself

Living with seven bachelors rubbed off on her

Love rock music

Trained her animals to fight; found the larger animals surprisingly easier to tame

There's another Snow White but she is younger and has white hair.

If she ever sees her MGA doll irl she would be impressed that it's the only doll that managed to stay the most accurate to how she looks. She'd cut the hair

Does feel a little guilty for her mean girl attitude especially after it pushed Rapunzel away so post canon she works to be a little nicer

Her prince is actually the huntsman sent to kill her; he disguised himself as one to warn her of the evil queen

Still visits the dwarves time to time and even lets them live with her

Doris

Chose to reconcile with Cinderella after taking a good long hard look at herself

Is the girly girl of them all

The first thing she brought with her first paycheck was a purple dress, she couldn't afford the color after losing her home

Doesn't like to talk about her mother

After Fiona she is the 2nd physically strongest Princess

Knows every beauty trick in the book, every ingredient, foundation shade, even which brand of Lead

Shaves her legs using a sugar and lemon wax method, she doesn't use razors

She knows my OC Gwynn from when Gwynn was a teenager first arriving at the Poison Apple

She still has a crush on Charming, but tones it down after he starts dating Gwynn

Her friction with Mabel started after Doris expressed desire to make up wth Cindy, Mabel didn't see what they had to apologize for.

After Shrek 3 Doris works at the Candy Apple, which is an extension of the Poison Apple but FOR KIDS

DCA Pokémon Teams (Part 2)

Hello everyone! Remember that post I made about the DCA girls having Pokemon teams? Well, I decided to remake them, as well as explain the reason why each Pokémon was chosen. This was also particularly inspired by silvermoon424’s Sailor Trainers post. This second post will go over the next 5 dorm leaders: Rozeline, Vidya, Jinlong, Elu and Perrine.

Rozeline Pierrette 📚

For Rozeline’s team, I for the most part wanted to pick Pokemon that reflect her personality and interests.

Chandelure was picked for aesthetic purposes

Magearna was picked since I feel that Rozeline would have made it to serve as a domestic helper at her home.

Roserade references both her name and roses being a motif with the story of Beauty and the Beast.

Lycanroc was chosen to reference the wolf that Rozeline encountered during her childhood.

Grimmsnarl was chosen to reference Rozeline’s unique magic.

Klang was chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Vidya Nazari 🏝️

Vidya’s team mostly consists of Pokémon that reference her personality and abilities.

Incineroar references Rajin, Vidya’s right hand man and confidant.

Phanpy references Vidya’s pet albino elephant, Asha.

Regirock references Vidya’s unique magic.

Honedge references Vidya’s weapon handling skills.

Floges and Belleossm reference Vidya’s love if gardening, with the latter referencing her excelling a Cultural Dance.

Jinlong Esi 🐲

Jinlong’s team consists of two of each Pokémon type, Dragon, Fighting and Fire.

Like Briar, Jinlong also gets a legendary, and its name is Rayquaza. Known as the “Sky High Pokémon”, it’s known for its desire to do heroic deeds. Much like how Jinlong hails from the Valley of Clouds as well as her desire to prove her worth.

Drampa, Mienshao, Pangoro and Vulpix were chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Talonflame was chosen to reference Jinlong being in the Aviary Club.

Elu Sorrel 🐻

Elu’s team consists of mostly woodland aesthetics, with some references to the Pocahontas.

Sigilyph was chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Decidueye was chosen for its archery aesthetic and it’s described as being cool and cautious by nature.

Trevenant was chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Sunflora references how Disney’s Pocahontas is often associated with sunflowers.

Ursaring references Elu bring a bear beastwoman

Pikipek is meant to reference Elu’s animal companion

Perrine Bousquet 🐸

Perrine’s team consists of Pokémon that match the aesthetics of both her personality and The Princess and the Frog.

Slurpuff was chosen since I felt that Perrine would need a little helper in the kitchen.

Alcremie was chosen for somewhat similar reasons.

Illumise references the fireflies that appear in The Princess and the Frog.

Lilligant was chosen for aesthetic reasons.

Politoed was chosen for both its frog-like design and its fondness for singing.

Totodile references both her alligator friend, Big Tooth and her ability to tame reptilian based creatures.

Heket, The Famine Bishop of The Yellow Crown in Anura!

Here’s some Heket Headcanons!

Before Being Indoctrinated:

🐸 • Heket loved to sing. She wrote lullabies to sing to her child followers, lulling them to sleep. But with her throat slit, she lost the ability to talk and therefore sing

🐸 • Another one of Heket’s passions are cooking. She knows a lot of recipes and would host feasts with her loyal followers

🐸 • Heket loved to torture mortals. Usually afflicting starvation upon them and watching with satisfaction as they slowly die

🐸 • With Heket being the Bishop of Anura her society is responsible for most of the farming and food supply. She casts a harvest spell over her loyal follower’s gardens to prosper their crops

🐸 • Cannibalism is very common in Anura with Heket’s leadership. Unsurprisingly Heket only cares for her loyal followers and is very unforgiving. If your family pisses her off even once you can bet that starvation will soon follow

🐸 • Heket was the biggest cannibal of the Bishops. Her long tongue would scoop offenders/betrayers up and she’d swallow them whole. She enjoyed hearing their painful cries as they slowly digest within

🐸 • Even if Heket’s leadership is run with an iron fist, she has a soft spot for children. Within her temple she made the center of Anura a safe haven for any child as she was infertile and could not bear children herself. She would sing them lullabies and made sure they had enough food to eat

🐸 • She is extremely confident and despises being seen as “weak.” Her Authority and image is very important to her

🐸 • She might appear to be a fat frog, but under that fat is muscle. She is the most fit out of the Bishops and she knows it

🐸 • With Menticide mushrooms growing everywhere Heket has developed an immunity to their hypnotic ability

After Being Indoctrinated:

🐸 • She is the most aggressive one of the Bishops. She will fiercely protect her siblings even though theirs no active threat

🐸 • She has a hard time speaking, usually only gurgling out a few words at a time along with long pauses. So she prefers not to talk as more ichor will start to leak out of the bandages which will frustrate her even more

🐸 • Even though she is the Ex-Bishop of Famine she has a ravenous appetite, quickly starving and demanding food if not fed proper meals throughout the day

🐸 • Surprisingly she has no problem eating, using her long tongue to scoop food down her slit throat. She also prefers meat dishes over veggie or fruit. She isn’t a picky eater either as she will eat almost anything (except for bowls of poop or deadly dishes as she had enough dignity)

🐸 • If the Lamb declares a fast, she is the only one to refuse to follow it, demanding food and threatening to devour other cult members if not given such

🐸 • She is the second tallest cult member being 6’6ft tall

🐸 • Heket won’t actively dissent, but rather sneak away at night to eat the crops, leaving Leshy and the other cult members annoyed

🐸 • Heket appointed herself the Cult’s chef, cooking up everyone’s food, having a talent for making even grassy gruel delicious. Yet if she is mad at someone she will feed them bowls of excrement (if they like eating poop she will cook them a deadly dish instead)

🐸 • If Heket warms up to a specific cult member she will give them little kisses on their forehead and whisper one-worded compliments in private, acting like a Tsudere

🐸 • Her and Narinder constantly get into fights at the cult, disrupting everyone else and causing a scene

🐸 • If The Lamb needs to converse with her they will read her thoughts as a way of communication
