AFI has to be one of the most underrated bands ever. They're actually so much better lyrically, musically and aesthetically than the bands that were around during the early 2000's. "Sing the Sorrow" has depth and beauty. It's actually an insult to AFI when spotify puts their songs on the same Playlists as Fall Out Boy and Silverstein and Hawthorne Heights. While AFI's music was feminine and gothic and reflected an Italian Catholic aesthetic from Davey Havok other bands were writing songs about gaslighting and abusing their 15 year old girlfriends. Which is why an artist like Chelsea Wolfe is perfect to celebrate the anniversary of "Sing the Sorrow".

As an Old Person who has at this point over two decades' worth of music in my collection I refuse to pay for a streaming subscription of any kind and have also had the b-sides for years but it's cool that it's out there in a real capacity now.

Apparently Synesthesia has already been available on streaming in Canada for a while but idk because... I don't use Spotify.

There is also a tiny little part of me that misses the days when b-sides were hard to get and you had to hunt for them, kids today will never know the thrill of that chase, but then I realize that's pretty close to gatekeep-y and nobody likes a gatekeeper.
