Lydia approaches Shuu hesitantly, holding something gently in her hand.

"So... there was an accident in alchemy class today, and..." Her words drag out, unsure how to explain the situation. It seemed so ridiculous, so unreal, like a prank someone would pull. She shakes her head, knowing that was just how Twisted Wonderland was.

"Floyd... turned Azul... into a marketable plushie." She finishes, holding him out for Shuu to see:

"I know this must seem crazy, but! Professor Crewel said that... true love's kiss... might break the spell." Lydia finishes awkwardly, feeling bad for putting Shuu in this position. She knew that while they weren't a couple, there was something between them, hidden feelings that were more than platonic.

She could only hope that Azul would forgive her for this, having offered to take him to Shuu in Floyd's place.

A/N: A request for my personal top 3 Sakamaki brothers? Of course, you've got great taste.

Shu -Considering he's the brother who's most prone to having pets, I feel like being an animal lovers is a trait he finds desirable in a partner as he would love to have a pet with you someday. -If you already have pets, they are a surefire tacic to wurm into this boy's heart. Sending him your endless collection of adorable snaps of your pets and you, etc, he eats it up. -Because he's incredibly lazy, he wouldn't like extremely tasking dates like a cute hiking trip. Shu's more of the type who'd get hold of your favorite movie or turn on Netflix with you in bed and getting Reiji to make your favorite snacks. -He also likes a girl who's a little playful but not completely hyper. Someone who energizes him a little more and makes him smile, but not one who pushes him too far. -The two of you exchange a lot of teasing comments and casually flirt with one another all the time. "Has someone ever told you that you look sexy when you snore, Shu?" Kanato -I feel like he's into maternal girls. Aside from his creepy thing for his mom, with his childlike tendencies and the dynamic with his brothers, you'd certainly need mother-of-several-young-children levels of patience to deal with the drama. -Kanato loves giving hugs when he's sleepy. He'll attach himself to you like you are his diabolical teddybear. -Surprisingly, he allows you to pick any sort of dating activities though if he doesn't likes it, he'll make you suggest something else. Kanato can be a little indecisive with this, you know? -Kanato also really likes girls that are a fellow 'kidult' like him and share his love for toys and sweets. I can totally see the two of you discussing doll lines, doing face-ups together and dressing up like your favorite dolls together. -The two of you will also go to every annual doll collector events and all the vintage markets. Kanato never expected to have a girl with whom he could go on shopping dates like these and he's excited for them every time. "I hate how we already spent our budget. That fish plushy looked SO cute!"

Subaru -Well, he'd like his girl to be at least be more sane then his mom. Not saying you need to be 100% mentally healthy 24/7, but having a stable sense of reality it necessary. -Bonus points if you actually know a bit about psychology and the consequences of being a KOPP (Dutch acronym meaning Kinderen van Ouders met Psychiatrische Problemen - the English translation is Children of Parents with Psychiatric Problems. So far, I've never encountered an English version of the acronym) -His choice of dates is surprisingly romantic but they're generally low-key. Like cute picnics, far away from everyone where he can just enjoy the serenity and simplicity of the way you make him feel. -He also really wants a girl who supports him, outside of his traumas and family too. Like a girl who encourages his talent for poetry and helps him come out of his shell and be confident in expressing himself outside of violent tantrums. -He loves writing about you, he really does. He actually, after a a sweet friendship, dared to confess with a love poem he sent through a xt message because he knew he'd snatch back the letter and chicken out if he actually wrote it down on real paper. Shuu Lore!!

So I wanted to make a lore drop about Shuu because no one really knows much about her. Plus I have lots of ideas for her and I want to share them!!

Name: Shuu Miáo (Not her real name. Just a fake name while she stays in Twisted Wonderland)

Ethnicity: Chinese and American.

Gender: Female Male. (So the thing about Shuu is that she is pretending to be a guy because NRC is a male school. But she is still a girl!! She uses male pronouns around with everyone, except the ghosts in ramshackle and Grim. Because she trusts them the most and because they're the only people at the start to have seen her as a girl.)

How did she come to Twisted Wonderland?:

Shuu was walking on a crosswalk. She was going to a picnic at a park nearby with her friends and family to hang out. In the middle of walking a black carriage was quickly driving through the road. She turned her head and before she would even blink the carriage slammed into her. Then everything went black. When she woke up she was in a black coffin.

What does she like and dislike?:

Shuu likes jewelry, cute things like plushies, animals, and sour candy. She hates super sweet stuff and mint chocolate chip ice cream. (It tastes like toothpaste)

How old is she and when is her birthday?:

When she came to Twisted Wonderland she was 17 years old. Her birthday is January 15.

What club is she in?:

Shuu is in the equestrian club with Sliver and Riddle. Fun fact, she got into the equestrian club because of Riddle! She was at the Heartslabyul lounge hanging out with Ace and Deuce. Then Riddle comes up to her and asks if she wants to be apart of the equestrian club!!

What's her personality?

She's mostly calm and polite! She doesn't try and stand out or make any type of scene, but I guess it happens when you're a magic-less human. She'll only get mad if you say something bad/rude about someone she cares about. She's really talkative towards her friends. Always chatting and joking.

Angst:

Random nights Shuu would have the same dream. It wasn't a bad dream! At the start at least. It would be of her family, her mom, dad, little brother, little sister, and her friends. They were at a park having a picnic. The sound of laughter and the wind, blowing through the trees, and the sound of--- Crash. . What was that? Once she looked over she saw it. . A black carriage and. . Her family, friends, their faces changed. They looked angry and upset? Why? What did she do? Then she woke up in a cold sweat. This would happen for a good 3 months. But she was never sure why. .

Sometimes she would talk in her sleep when these dreams happened. Grim would wake up to hear mumbled words.

Suginami, home to a “zombie” team and an…”interesting” private investigator at the least. As the late afternoon sun hung lazily in the sky, Edogawa Shuu was bound to receive a birthday visitor.

I wonder what contents are inside…

Inside his heated office, Shuu was fixated on the frustrating paperwork in front of him. It had been a long day of work, finalizing case reports and all the other detective shenanigans. However…a small box accidentally crashed on the tiled floor, possibly from Shuu knocking it over.

Scrambling to pick it up, he immediately checked for damages. With relief, he quickly opened the surprising package, eager to see the gifts sent to him.

Inside…Was a questionable romance book…and a collection of plushies~!

“I hope this message finds you well, Edogawa. Because a few…odd stories were left stranded on my shelf, I’ve decided to present one for you. I hear you also like…cute odds and ends? These plushies may be old, however they are just as cute. Happy birthday…”

“Yuno?” Shuu hums. “And from Fukuoka? I don’t remember him…”

Clearing some of the gifts and letters off his desk, he decided to make a quick search to see who this unfamiliar name was. He knew he had done an interview about a Fukuoka team. So why wasn’t the name registering in his head?

And that’s when it popped up; A rival team in the Fukuoka division. It turns out that this Yuno Kamora is a butler…

“Butler? Wait, so like Jack?” His brows furrow as Shuu murmurs to himself. “Don’t tell me they’re working together. There's no way they could be associated. Like, what's the chance of that?”

Shrugging to himself, Shuu’s train of thought is broken by the rest of the gift. The cuteness of the plushies were calling to him, tempting out of the pressing concerns in the back of the private investigator's mind. Pulling one of the plushies out, Shuu’s excitement was thwarted by a stack of letters and papers getting knocked off his desk and scattering onto his office floor. A quick huff of frustration and Shuu knew he had to clean up before he could have fun opening the rest of his gifts!

Thank you for the gift! And what is the implication in giving Shuu a book about attachment theory...? 👀

HATOFUL BOYFRIEND HIGH-FIVE, FRIEND! :D I was an early adopter who dragged an entire friendgroup into post-apocalyptic bird-dating when the HD version came out in 2014. Do I own a full run of the official plushies, including the Holiday Star chracters? VERY NEARLY. Did I make it out to visit Torimi Café in Kobe last time I was in Japan? NO BUT EFFORTS WERE MADE. Did I just check to see if Brian Pigeon's blog is still online? GOOD NEWS!

Important question: who is best bird??? (My heart belongs to Azami, but I would be remiss not to mention the delightfully fucked-up Shuu and my sweet pudding child, Okosan.)

Location: Seisou Hall (Ritsu & Mika’s Room)  Characters: Mika, Shuu & Sora

Mika: Haa… I’m exhausted…

Shuu: We can finally rest. Good grief, what a disastrous day.

Mika: Yesterday was way too different… We won the “Championship Match” yesterday and could go to bed feelin’ great.

Wait, ngh? Huh~ No wonder I thought this place seemed familiar – Isn’t this my room at Seisou Hall?

Sora: “HaHa~♪ There is an extra rule that states unless ES idols pay ‘SSG’, they can only stay in the hotel that’s been recreated to look like their own rooms!”

Mika: I see. So people who don’t want their rooms shown will have to pay even more “SSG”.

Sora: “Yes! And everything that happens in ‘SHINSEKAI’ has a chance to be broadcast on the internet or on TV! It was written on the contract~”

Mika: I don’t know anything about this contract but we were dragged into this strange world – this VR world? against our own will.

Sora: “HiHi~♪ If you have any feedback or requests for the management, please let Sora know! It might take some time for a reply, though~”

Mika: Huh~? I feel a bit hesitant to complain to someone who looks like Sora-kun.

Shuu: I see you’ve already acclimated to this crazy world, Kagehira… I’m exhausted.

Mika: It’s fun once you get used to it~ If I summon Sora-kun like this, I can talk to him whenever and that makes me happy ♪

We’re both members of “Ba-barrier” but we’re in different agencies and grades, so I’m sad ‘cause I don’t get to see him that often.

Sora: “Yes! This Sora is simply a character that’s completely unrelated to the actual Sora~ Permission has been granted to use his appearance! HaHiHuHeHo~♪”

Shuu: I feel as though I’ll lose my mind any minute now.

Mika: Ahaha. We’ve been through a lot for the past two days, after all. It would be natural for both of us to be pretty tired. How ‘bout you, Onii-chan? Do you wanna have somethin’ nice for dinner and then get a good night’s sleep?

Shuu: …No. It just dawned on me but I don’t feel hungry or sleepy.

Sora: “Yes! Things like that will get in the way of playing the game so it’s being taken care of outside the game!”

Mika: Whaddya mean…?

Sora: “You’ll be fed the necessary nutrients via IV drips?”

Mika: IV drip? I don’t remember bein’ injected with that, though…?

Sora: “HuHu~♪ This means that things that can’t be aired will be removed from this utopia, ‘SHINSEKAI’?”

“Oh! God has ordered Sora to not tell ‘Valkyrie’ any more information, so nothing further can be disclosed!”

“Sora is a good child so he won’t defy god!”

“Sora will take his leave now~ HaHiHuHeHo~♪”

Mika: …And he’s gone.

Shuu: Something like that doesn’t surprise me anymore.

In any case, let’s organise the information we have, Kagehira. Continuing to be toyed with will only be vexing. I want to come up with a strategy to break out of this situation.

Mika: Ahh, okay… You can sit on my bed, Oshi-san. I’ll sit on Ritsu-kun’s. I’m sure he won’t mind.

Shuu: This is simply an environment recreated in VR. I don’t think Rei’s younger brother would be angry if you used his bed without permission or broke it even.

Mika: Ngh~ You’re right but Ritsu-kun has his own personal views on sleep. He really treasures his bed so maybe he won’t like seein’ a fake version of it being broken.

Shuu: Hmph. I see you’ve learnt to be considerate of others, Kagehira. No, I’m relieved to see you’re getting along fine with your roommate.

But I digress. This “SHINSEKAI” is more well-made than I expected. I cannot even imagine what sort of technology was used to create this.

Mika: Yeah. It feels so realistic you probably wouldn’t even be able to tell it’s fake unless you took a look up close.

I wonder how they made this… They even have the plushy I found and placed in my room.

Shuu: Well, that’s not important right now. Rather than investigating how this SF-looking VR technology works, there’s something else that’s of top priority right now.

Just as the Boy mentioned earlier, “SSG” is everything in this “SHINSEKAI”. Everything costs money.

Mika: Yeah. And on top of that, it looks like “SSL$” and “SSG” are two different things…

Since we won the “Championship Match”, there was that agreement where the units we defeated would send us all the “SSL$” they gained throughout the duration of the Qualifyin’ Round.

But we haven’t gotten any of it. It looks like it’s ‘cause everyone was earning “SSG” and not “SSL$”, though.

Shuu: Yeah. Which means money won’t fall into our possession if we wait around, so we have to earn it ourselves.

Mika: We’ve lost our passive income… Ugh, I’ve gotta be diligent about money again, huh. Brings back memories.

Shuu: Well, money issues go hand in hand when you’re an artist.
