As the day of Edogawa’s Yuriko Kuromiya arrived, an unexpected package was waiting right at her doorstep. Stepping outside, much to her dismay in the sun, she briefly picked up the package and set it inside. Inspecting the property, it seemed pretty large. Even then, it was a wonder the contents were able to stay together…Off to the side was a note, surprisingly small. “If the rumours are true, then I suspect you’ll have these on hand. Happy birthday, Black Dahlia…” — Asthenes. However, someone flew inside the room as she opened the gift… Inside…We’re a set of steel Chinese handcuffs, somehow immediately attaching to the said person, interlocking their fingers tightly.

Yuriko’s eyebrow twitched slightly as she gazed at the handcuff now on her fingers. Not how she wanted to start her birthday. Is this what constitutes a gift these days? How annoying. 

“Yuriko, are you alright?” A.D.A questioned after walking into the living room and seeing the annoyed expression on the white-haired woman.

“Annoyed that someone decided to pull a little bit of a trick A.D.A.” Yuriko scowled lifting her hands to show A.D.A the handcuffs on her fingers. 

A slight frown formed on the android’s face. “How rude and on your birthday too. Kaoru should have something to get them in her lab though.”

“No need.” 

“Huh? What do you mean?” A.D.A’s questioned the confusion clear in her voice. 

Yuriko didn’t answer back her attention now fully on her fingers trapped in the cuffs and took a small breath. 

*SNAP*

“Yuriko!!” A.D.A shrieked nearly jumping at the sight of the retired assassin disjointing one of her fingers in front of her. “What are you doing!?” 

Once again Yuriko barely paid the panicking android any mind turning her attention to the other finger in the trap.

*SNAP*

“There we go,” Yuriko lightly smiled as the handcuff slid off her fingers and fell onto the floor with a solid clink before she popped her fingers back into place. Giving her fingers a quick flex making sure they were in their proper position. “Good as new-” 

“Yuriko! Your fingers!” A.D.A fretted grabbing Yuriko gently by her hands to inspect her finger. “Why would you do that? Oh never mind that let’s get you down to Kaoru’s lab to get your fingers checked out!” 

“A.D.A I’m fine. You know I’ve had worse-”

“I don’t care! Now come on!” A.D.A argued back pulling the white-haired woman by her wrist out of the living room and to the medical area down in Kaoru’s lab.

As Anika Kiyozaki was relaxing in her home, having noticed her work was cancelled for her birthday, an unexpected package arrived at her doorstep, complete with a tiny decorated box and a note attached to it.

Who could this be from?

Taking the box inside, she decided to read the note first.

“To Kiyozaki.

You might not know much about me [Well, you probably might…], and I’m sorry if this made you “uncomfortable.” But anyway…I hope you like it. I’m trying to meet new people across all these divisions [Even if my image surrounding my own team is a bit much], so I hope we can meet sometime?

The ellipsis are freaking me out… it’s like they’re plotting something weird… Anika thought blankly as she set the letter down. She eyed the presents that arrived on her doorstep.

Well… I guess it was nice of this Shu person to go out of their way to send presents over…

She picked up the light-up sign and studied it.

Guess you can never have enough lights around the house for a deaf person.

— A wolf plush from Mai, signifying his role as the alpha of OverDrive’s pack…And who is full of mischief and trickery, all for good fun of course… — A neatly wrapped present from Yuno. Despite not opening it yet, it carries a scent of warm baking related smells from inside. — A full size chocolate bar from Kairi who’s advice for sugar is “Just as you don’t eat too much of something, it isn’t considered unhealthy~!” Mai Yousei

— A large gingerbread cookie from Eko, hinting their optimism is as sweet and delicious as “All the sugar in this cookie.” — A vermilion Christmas ornament from Yuno who says that “No love is as precious as searching the skies with the ones you appreciate most on Christmas Eve…” — A reindeer plush from Shu. OverDrive is Fukuoka’s representative rap team. It consists of butler Yuno Kamora, professional dancer Mai Yousei and their leader, idol Eko Seishin.

Their theme colour is electric blue, hence being similar to the natural element electricity. But it also highlights their drive to reach their ambitions.

The groups symbol is an electric blue music note that all 3 members have on an accessory; A chain on Eko’s watch, a design on Mai’s hat and a clip on Yuno’s bracer. It’s meant to represent their huge connection to the hypnosis mic which lead to the teams formation. The groups hand sign is the palm slightly down, which in body language means dominance.

Eko, Mai and Yuno are all childhood friends, as their strong ties put them together. In this sense, their rap styles are similar, but have their originality. All of them have had encounters with the hypnosis mic, which drives them to reach their goal through the hardships they’ve faced alone and as a team. They decided to enter the DRB to get closer to Chuohku and overthrow the Party of Words for good. ______________________________________ Now becoming a blockbuster team, their combined ambition only soars higher and higher. Continuing to make massive waves, OverDrives true chain of objectives unknowingly changed. Now immersed and placed in the DRB, their main objective resides in having “fun” with the other divisions, with their 1st official team “mission” lying on one acquired target — Taking their division back by force from a few “forsaken” defenders.
