Fern ! Are they more often late or early?

Perpep Pepnep - N/A "Oftcas" Niptur - Early, but they wont actually Be there until the exact time.

Detheo Ordeor - Gets there early and leaves late. Sees the fewest people possible. Detheo Niptur - Early so he can just chill.

Somati Visoma - They like being early but pre game theyre too depressed to care one way or another. Post game hes too chill to care one way or the other. They end up being closer to late but almost always on time because of their moirail. The Sanguine, Ur-Clown, Ur-Crane - When he has to go do something he dissociates a lot. He ends up being there as close to late as possible.

Declan "Bluebell" Ferics - They are very very time conscious, if theyre late something is very wrong. If they're early that means they didn't minmax their schedule properly. The Halfiron - He lives at their job i dont think they ever go anywhere.

The SetMedic "Azokie" Axilla - Early. She wants time to set up. Plexus Axilla - Early, because she basically doesn't exist outside of her job.

The Hungjury - Exactly on time. Dlicti Secutu - N/A, but on continua she would be early.

Calixtus - If they do not cross the threshold at the exact time they were supposed to be somewhere Everything is Wrong and they need to keep walking until they leave a different door and then walk back around to the front of the building while looking at the clock and cross over the threshold at the next multiple of ten seconds. more zeros in the time the better.

The Critical - Late Tirent Bawurz - Early, he basically doesn't exist outside of his job.

Bucket Gemnat - Late. She hates it here. The Pailborn - Late. She really hates it here.

Feralone - Early but waits out of sight until the time and walks in Banyet Cleeaw - exactly five minutes late to let you know she does not respect the time.

Oomani Cartor - Late. if he shows up at all. The ShortOut - not at all on account of being brain-dead and only kept alive for genetic stock to maximize psionic genes in the genepool.

The Unstrung - Late but just because hes high. Qadrum Tunead - Late but doesn't realize it, just got the time wrong because he is straight up zooted.

Borrel Brunze - early The Bullkill - late. she hates it here.

The Dittched - if they show up its a miracle ###### - ditto.

Jam ! Can they cook.

Perpep Pepnep - Yes ! Detheo taught her, she only knows some very specific recipes but she knows them by heart. "Oftcas" Niptur - Cooks in the way that New Vegas couriers with Survival 100 can cook. Oftcas will see a slime mold on the side of a tree and tell you how to make candy out of it.

Detheo Ordeor - He's better at cooking than he is at his job, and he is amazing at his job. Detheo Niptur - Can cook and learned everything he knows from Oftcas

Somati Visoma - Burns water. The Sanguine, Ur-Clown, Ur-Crane - Burns his hands.

The SetMedic "Azokie" Axilla - Yeah, she likes cooking for her moirai- matespri- quadmate and her cullee. It was a good hobby that let her embrace femininity within a masculine facade when she hadn't yet figured out her transness. Plexus Axilla - Yes. Yetidad stopped making food for her once she changed her name. She rarely makes things taste great, its sustainance. she "doesn't deserve more than sustainance", and she can't draw too much attention or her lusus will loom.

The Hungjury - Yes but way too by the rules to experiment. Dlicti Secutu - Yeah she's great at it. She grows food in her garden. I think she would love to have chickens...

Calixtus - Not even a little bit. Measuring out ingredients is finicky and if they mess up...

The Critical - Yes. Tirent Bawurz - No. Crocomom never got to teach him. Anything he learned comes from work out channels.

Perpep Pepnep - So,,, we have a headmate, Pepper, she's a... trauma holder? She wanted to talk, but she's. terrified of it. So i made her a trollsona while mituna was fronting a ton. Shes a seadweller because frankly, her situation would be best mimicked by the isolation required of a seadweller. "Oftcas" Niptur - Everyone has an alt self. I wanted to show how cool Perpep can be. Oftcas is an icon.

Detheo Ordeor - Based on pepper's owner, teddy, who is based loosely on someone i know. Detheo Niptur - I really really wanted to do a troll loosely based off my moirail justice. I'm also a slut for nature vs nurture and alt selves. he is the littlest fucking guy you have no fucking idea he is so teensy. He will kill you like the guy from shadow of the colossus.

Somati Visoma - I was back home and needed a vent for my helplessness. The Sanguine, Ur-Clown, Ur-Crane - Everyone has an alt self. I got the idea of the Ur-Clown and worked backwards.

Declan "Bluebell" Ferics - I wanted to make a character who was a Rogue of Time, super visibly autistic, had a cool wheelchair, and had a special interest in disability aides. So i made that. Their name is the name of a sick ass parapelegic hockey player and a derivative of the solution used in blueprints. theyre a color shift because i. had too many highbloods. The Halfiron - Everyone has an alt self.

The SetMedic "Azokie" Axilla - Somati needed a culler. I based her off my mom. Plexus Axilla - Everyone has an alt self. Her sign is the believer and shes a Knight of Hope, it only made sense to me to have her be the moral backbone of the Halfirons hospital. Most of her character was formed in response to Lumiss. The idea of a secret doctor who is pale for an aspiring serial culler is compelling and funny. She ended up being a way to explore religious trauma too though as inspired by being a knight. Knights putting shells around a percieved flaw in their aspect, coating themselves in their aspect to hide something 'wrong' under the armor, they also exist in sessions with very little of their aspect. Dave has adhd and loses track of time, he tries to be cold and unfeeling like time is, never stopping or slowing, but he desperately needs a break. Latula suffered a traumatic brain injury and lost her sense of smell and wears a totally fake persona to mask. Karkats blood is fucking red, not to mention how susceptible he is to the human disease known as friendship as much as he says he isnt. Knights also seem to be drawn to those who have similar aspects about them. Mituna and Latula both have traumatic brain injuries and love for videogames, Karkat and Dave both have incredible facades over themselves, Dave is covered in bright candy red, even his eyes and blood are red and proud of it, a literal beacon of red, and Karkat has an uncaring facade that masks genuine kindness and love while also having his fixations. Plexus never lost her faith. She has never been able to get rid of her belief. She hides it under layers upon layers of armor. Sufferer gray, indigo blue, hope yellow, at the core is candy red and meat green.

The Hungjury - Ferics needed a culler. Based her off my dad. Dlicti Secutu - Everyone has an alt self. She was originally a Prince of Life, this changed when Miyers was brought in and i actually made her character. I wanted to have a heavily scarred character who got fat and healthy after getting her freedom. She's a Maid of Life and has a lot of the same energy as Aradia to me. Her Land being the Land of Dirt and Bones doesn't hurt.

Calixtus - Me ike and your session didnt have representation of Void Light or Mind aspects, and i love the idea of cherubs always being opposite aspects. I saw a trinary cherub oc and bam. Communal lil guy. Plus OCD representation. And another thing.

The Critical - I thought it would be funny if Bawurz' alt self was an alt right podcaster who hated woke and wouldnt be able to describe what woke was to you. Tirent Bawurz - Lumiss needed to have a first kill. Someone who would threaten Plexus' place of work but wouldn't act on the threats, but would Look like he would. That and. I just like treating the clown faith with respect and thoughtful worldbuilding. it makes me happy.

Bucket Gemnat - I wanted to make a jade for 'is it a bucket' and The Pailborn - Everyone has an alt self.

Feralone - Everyone has an alt self. Banyet Cleeaw - Thievery!

The Unstrung - Everyone has an alt self. Qadrum Tunead - Burglary :0). i got the idea of making my trade guys and adopts into a band because of him, thats why banyet is a singer, he's a bassist with tuning fork themes.

Borrel Brunze - I wanted to make a bronze clown after i thought of rodeo clowns ! She ended up being way more wholesome as i rped her. I wanted to have a non-cullee beforan adult who had nuanced takes on the cullee system so she ended up being a vessel for that. The Bullkill - Everyone has an alt self. She wouldn't be in the carnival on Alternia. She works in a slaughter house.

The Dittched - Everyone has an alt self. ###### - I felt insane, had to vent it. It was when i was unmedicated.

Wait uhhh I'm on 1.5.6#3 but Steam does say we're on 1.6.8 (as opposed to it not being available on my soeoio setup) and I updated it on Steam (oirst thing I did) I've been using SMAPI but I deleted all my mods orom my oolder beoause I oigured it would be annoying to have them all break. So I deleted SMAPI to reinstall it beoause it never aotually updates itselo unless I do all this orap. and now the shortout is gone out oo my oolder (it said that's where it would be) whioh is how I was opening it beoause I don't oare about steam aohievements am I sorewed??

i teared up when illonka read the poem.. truly truly love how mike flanagan uses horror as a tool to explore the ideas of death, loss, time and grief

I might just be grasping here though, because the theme of dying with dignity but still grasping onto life resonates with me a lot

flanagan doing heart wrenching horror.. how desperate everyone in MC was just trying to find something to believe in how nobody questioned illonka for what she wanted to do for anya,how every ghost in their stories are just them coping with their pain & disease..

how fantastical is it that they held onto something so tightly, but it slipped through. like the sunlight in the trees or the wind through the grass. at the end of the day all they wanted was each other to do better. to live.

how terrifying is it to know that you cannot live for much longer? to accept it? to let go of the ghosts and to simply stay present? how do you love and how do you lose? how do you accept loss? how do you grieve? how do you hold someone’s hand and not let go even when they do? how do you let someone go when they’re ready to but you’re not?

but death is an inevitability for all, some sooner than others, and seeing it depicted as something scary, yes, but also something we can gently approach meant so much to me. It feels less like giving up and more on placing our priorities on the depth of life than the length of it. On telling scary stories to friends in the dark while waiting for their ride to whatever comes next.
