SpongeBob SquarePants Shipping Chart (FEEL FREE TO USE)
MAJOR UPDATE (10/14/2023): Added More Characters from the Musical
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the record, I've decided to create my own official blank shipping chart of one of my Fandoms for the very first time (since there isn't much SB Shipping Charts all over online so I created my own).
I've created Two Versions in case for Half of the Fandom's POV on the Two King Neptune characters (rather if you believe they are the same Character or Not).
Here are the Two Links for Full Versions in case to use for the Better Quality.
In case if you are confused of what each of the Ship Terms for what each of the Color represents...
❤️ = OTP (A Ship that You Love so Much and it is your own Main Favorite One out of all of the Other Ships) 🧡 = Platonic (A Ship that you prefer to be more than just Personal Friends rather than a Couple) 💖 = Crack (A Kind of Ship that is meant to be either Bizarre or Funny as in a Joke) 🩷= Love (A Ship that you also Adore but not that much of a Main Favorite) 💛= Like (A Ship that you do Enjoy but rather in a More "Causal" way to say the least) 💚= Neutral (A Ship that you have Mixed Feelings or Indifferent with) 🩵= Ok (A Ship that you're completely Fine with, but don't have any strong feelings towards it) 💜= Meh (A Ship that you just don't completely care nor pay any attention to) 💙= Dislike (A Ship that you just don't agree with or just not a personal fan of, if you don't have any too much Hate of it) 💙= Hate (A Ship that you just CAN'T STAND no matter how much that you despise) 🖤= Crash and Burn (A NOTOP that you Hate so much and is your own Main DEPISE One out of all the Other Ships)
Bonus Option: 💗= Ship with OC (A Character that you personally prefer to ship with Any of Your Own Persona/Mutuals' OC) 💚= Ship in Crossover (An X-Over Ship that you prefer to ship with Any Canon Character in the Franchise with a Different Character from Another Media) 🟤= Stay Single (A Character that you don't have enough ships and would just leave the Character to be Single without being shipped with anyone)

However, considering that the Franchise has secretly done an Alternate "Wife Swap" idea between the Consorts of the Greek/Roman Sea Gods, Salacia did appear in a Cameo of the Third Movie, regarding if it could be truly her or not. There was also a Semi-Design of Her through Concept Arts behind the Third Movie that I did found through ArtStation by 3D Developer (Michael Defeo). For those who are curious to know about the concept design behind King Poseidon's Wife in SB, here's the link that you can click on.)

ranking nightmare time episodes
under the cut because this is gonna be a long post and it is only for me and no one else<3
i recently finished all the nmt episodes and now that i have no more new hatchetfield content to consume i need to dish out feelings and opinions and i like ranking things i like. this is based on vibes mostly. and my attachment to these characters. i love all of these episodes and the entire cast and nick & matt lang for giving me so much lore to chew on. here is the brutal order of ranking my children
13. daddy
somebody had to be last......first of all i just wanna say jaime lyn beatty is a literal god for performing the double role of sherman and sheila young here, she IS versatility in human form. however young at heart just isn't one of my favourite songs and sherman & frank really aren't as compelling characters to me as some other ones in the hatchetverse and i feel like it doesn't offer that much more lore to me.
i do find that there is a lot to be said about the way sheila holds frank & toy zone hostage with her money and it's yet another case of characters using their money for power and glory in hatchetfield and how those characters eventually become victims of the lords in black and characters that abuse their power. i still had so much to say about this even though it's last on this list and that also speaks to how GOOD this series is okay
12. perky's buds
this one is just absurd????? i truly think perky's buds, jane's a car and hey melissa are the holy trinity of batshit nmt episodes.
this is essentially the most we ever learn about the hatchetmen and their descendants (the metzgers) which makes me a little sad, that lore i am still a bit lost on and honestly the amount of lore (and this being grace chasity's first appearance in canon) is mostly the only reason i prefer this one over daddy. also the fact that joey richter plays a monotone talking bird + emma finally gets her pot farm (even if it all burns down in the end</3). this one is just a little silly to me and the song isn't my favourite either, it's a taste of characters (like the metzgers and ziggs) and lore about the history of hatchetfield and i just wish we knew more
11. forever and always
this is my official apology to paulkins nation for having this ep so low lmao sorry guys
if i'm being honest my favourite part about this episode is how it weaves together with time bastard. idk if i'm allowed to say this out loud because i fear i'll get crucified by starkid / hatchetverse people but honestly i'm not *that* invested in paulkins as a ship.......i love that in this iteration they are just so fucked up and weird, i remember in the hotel scene thinking there is NO way paul wouldn't kill emdroid here. she is an EVIL ANDROID!!!! and then the reveal that he's actually paul 23 made so much sense. anyway i like this one and i REALLY like the song!! it's so fun having such a heartfelt sounding song at the top of the episode and then it actually being so fucked up by the end.
10. hey, melissa!
tbh i wanted this one to be higher because it was SO absurd in a way perky's buds could never even fucking dream of, i truly want to know what possessed nick & matt lang to think that the side character who has maybe four lines in tgwdlm likes dehumanizing men and turning them into her pets???
all this being said i think hey melissa gets a bit of a bad rep in the fandom. i actually think it's a very interesting episode, i will never ever stop thinking about WHY paul makes the decision at the end as he does? i think there is so much to dissect there and in general about paul as a character in this episode. we really don't learn a lot about paul in tgwdlm and in contrast, in the timeline of hey melissa we hear an entire story from his childhood that clearly impacted him a lot? and it's something he thinks about to this day!
i also really wonder the question of if he hadn't told that story, would melissa still have him held captive?? obviously melissa is not a very reliable character in the early part of the story, but paul's memory clearly affects her a lot? does she actually lose faith in him in that moment? and that's why she decides to keep him as her dog (of course he doesn't end up being one lmao) ? i just think there's a lot to be said about this episode! still, i am def forever haunted by this and can't never hear it the same when humans say bark or meow. also what do you MEAN you'd have to NEUTER him to let him OUTSIDE
9. the hatchetfield ape-man
this one has such a special place in my heart for whatever reason<33 full disclosure angela as lucy stockworth is also maybe 80% of why this is higher than the others so far, it's just so fun seeing her play a character who seemingly is just so innocent and sweet and has such a big heart but then who's also very aware of what she's doing and schemes a bit herself. i can't believe this is the only iteration of lucy stockworth what is she doing in the other timelines. i want to know.
also idk why but the reveal that ted was just playing konk fucked me UP!!! like that was insane. also as the first episode that has the cast and nick & matt still figuring everything out it's just very sweet and heartwarming which you cant say about a lot of hatchetfield content<33 honestly no real explanations for this one i just love angela giarratana and also jamie lyn beatty for singing HERE'S A LITTLE STORY BOUT THE HATCHETFIELD APE-MAN
8. watcher world
the scenes with the sniggles???? genuinely horrifying. the idea in itself that someone is always watching is so creepy, i think blinky is maybe actually the most terrifying lord in black. at least he manages to have the most terrifying nmt episode. the fact that he somehow makes a father and daughter almost kill each other and wants to watch for his own enjoyment like........this one actually haunts me sm!!!! wtf is that scene with alice and the blinky mascot!!!!!!
it's also one of the only hatchetfield stories with a genuinely happy ending with basically no catch. and after bill and alice's tragic fate in tgwdlm i'm so glad they also get a good ending<33 it's also just so lovely to see them actually bond in this story and we learn a lot about alice !
this one also has so many songs and i am of the opinion that snoozle town is genuinely heartbreaking and the way angela can just do that while singing the most insane shit like "and we'll have two snoozles that can snozzle / our own bayou where the boogle boggles flow with goo" is beautiful
7. jane's a car
GOT MY FOOT ON THE GAS ok im SORRY im sorry its just. funny
tbh i am a little sad this gets reduced to the car sex episode, i think it does have a lot to say about navigating grief when you feel like you've finally been able to move on and live life again and suddenly the person you lost is back in your life. and they're also a car.
not to mention the ending???? is fucking terrifying????? poor becky quite literally dies and the "mommy's home" paired with the way the script narrates the moment as "becky sits down and jane smiles". like that's. cunt
anyway just to conclude i really wish more people understood the more compelling parts of this episode and not just tom fucks a car!!!! dont overstimulate the cupholders!!!!!
6. honey queen
i was GAGGED seeing the editing quality step up from nmt 1. this is truly the cuntiest nmt episode because we pit two beautiful queens each other and BOTH just fucking perish lmao (that editing step up also contributed so much to the final scene being so terrifying. it's an incredible introduction to nibbly and the scene being followed by the nibbly ditty is just SO gooooooooooooooood)
something i did already mention when talking about daddy is the continued sort of "motif" that rich people either still always lose to the lords in black or (something that i didn't bring up last time) they themselves are corrupt and have essentially sold their souls to the lords in black. like gerald & linda lie, cheat, steal and kill their way to win this pageant and yet. they still both die.
also also!!!!! i love that we learn how linda ended up so incredibly cold and uncaring. like it's not just from being rich as fuck, it's also trauma from being mocked, ridiculed and ignored throughout your entire childhood. i think roman murray might genuinely be the most evil character in hatchetfield and i loooove how jon matteson plays him. king shit
i also just love. gerald and linda. they are so fucked up and so perfect for each other. the way gerald helps her so much to sabotage the pageant and is her BIGGEST cheerleader, knows that deep down linda does not like her father and is afraid of him and literally gets himself killed essentially in support of her.............i love them.
5. time bastard
i'm gonna be honest i wasn't ted's biggest fan after tgwdlm so i didn't reaaaally understand the love i saw for him in the fandom, but after time bastard i really got it. time bastard actually fleshes out ted as a character and even though by the end he kind of is still a dumbass we do still learn a lot about him!! tinky and his little box are both objectively terrifying and being stuck in his box honestly sounds like a worse fate than hell. i feel bad for ted ngl
the reveal that homeless guy is ted spankoffski is also so insane. like the fact that these two exist in the same timeline a lot of the time is so interesting and also brings up the question of did the homeless guy ever try to go into ccrp and try to take his job back??? or did he just resign to his fate. we dont know. speaking of ccrp also learning more lore about what a fucked company it actually is super interesting, especially knowing they too tried to harness tinky's power.
my one and only gripe with time bastard is that it gets a little too complicated for me at some points but that's more a me problem, it just feels slightly hard to wrap my head around it while also connecting it to the events of forever and always. i do love complicated lore but this one fucks w my head sometimes
4. abstinence camp
as a grace chasity girl it is illegal for me to have this episode any lower than in the top 5. these top 4 episodes truly expose my favourite hatchetfield characters so bad lmao
god abstinence camp is SO funny!! the writing here is hilarious, just grace's first appearance is so silly and angela does such a stellar job. i love her in this role so much. along w her i'm so glad this story introduced us to boy jerry and girl jeri who i am begging to see again in another timeline like i need to see their backstory!! how did they find each other the first time and how did they end up abandoning their faith to have a child!!!! jon matteson and kim whalen are so good in these roles
we also cant talk about abstinence camp without mentioning that virginity rocks is objectively the BEST nmt song. jon and kim are serving absolute vocals it is such a banger and the fact that they paired it with axe man is so fucking sick
3. killer track
killer track is the only nmt episode so far that's made me actually cry. god. he was watching the fireworks.
to be completely honest i. don't even know what to comment on for this episode i'm just stuck in never ending holloweane brainrot. god he's so in love with her. AND SO AM I!!! miss holloway is such a compelling character and this nmt episode especially teases a lot about how she ended up the way she is. we also learn about her past and just like everything about her is so interesting to me, i love her protective nature but also that she's so calculated in her every move. and somehow always knows exactly what to do. also i love duke keane i can't leave him out of this
the concept of this episode is also just so viscerally horrifying, it's essentially something i used to have nightmares about like something scary that's ringing so loudly in your ears that nothing can block it out so this genuinely hit like a sort of irrational fear that i pretty much used to have as a kid. it's not so bad that i can't watch but still hit me in a sort of way that reminded me of my own fears. maybe that's also why i love miss holloway she would save me if i ever ended up in that situation
2. the witch in the web
i feel like witch in the web is very underrated?? i don't see a lot of people talking about it compared to some other episodes which i think is such a shame because it's so incredible
the scene where hannah thinks she's seeing lex and then it turns out to be the witch was SO spooky watching it the first time, seeing angela play out this sort of over-excited version of lex and it slooowly becoming more and more sinister is so insane especially with her pulling out the dolls of the lords in black. it's such a great scene!!
also the lore we learn about the witchwood forest and what originally happened to willabella muckwab and how the black book came to be is so integral to the entire lore, and i love the way it's told with hannah & miss holloway sort of walking in this old dreamlike world. plus the confrontation with wilbur cross in the starlight GOD this episode has so many cool moments and it can do so much because they're in nightmare time and not in actual hatchetfield most of the time. i do, however, despise the idea that lex foster is serving what FOUR years in prison in this timeline. dont do that to my girl
1. yellow jacket
the scene where hannah & ethan come home and lex is waiting for them, so disappointed in herself not only for forgetting hannah's birthday but also for failing the test, angry at ethan for not reminding her about hannah's birthday.....that scene is probably my favourite moment in the entire hatchetverse? angela just fucking blew me away she plays it so well and not to mention joey richter ethan just. kills
yellow jacket just had to be first here, i'm so invested in these relationships and their past and how it led them to where they are here, the way this episode portrays how hard it is for lex and ethan because they're just trying to survive on what little resources they have while lex is also taking care of hannah: she cares for her so much that she's wanted to move them out of their mom's trailer. of course hannah would feel responsible and maybe guilty because lex has so much to worry about, of course hannah wants to take the first opportunity she gets to make them copious amounts of money, of course she's willing to put herself in terrible danger, all to help lex.
i love seeing this perspective on hannah, especially since in black friday we mostly see lex (and ethan) protecting and saving hannah when she's in trouble (although she definitely can fend for herself a little!). in yellow jacket we really see how responsible hannah must feel. when her and ethan see the ipad as a possible prize, her first thought isn't all the fun things you could use the ipad for, it's how much money they could get selling it. she doesn't understand the sheer danger of fighting pokey, which makes sense since she doesn't know that that is quite literally an eldritch god, she just wants to support lex.
this episode is just incredible in its every element: the portrayal of the characters, the story and the way it talks about the influence that money has on people's lives. not to mention watching literal children fight each other for entertainment. it's brutal but the core relationships are what eventually survive despite the circumstances
well. this was long

2022 SCAD TV Fest Cast Q&A Briefing
What Happened? The 2022 SCAD TV Fest was a virtual TV festival February 17th-19th, 2022. On February 19th, 6:00 PM EST, there was an early screening of Ghosts ep. 14, "Ghost Writer," followed by a cast Q&A (Run time: 42:58).
What is this post? This is a briefing of the cast Q&A, with highlights, questions, answers, and some direct quotes when-pertinent.
Tl;dw
Season 2 will have 22 episodes (Port).
One of the upcoming episodes is entitled "Trevor's Pants," and it will include a flashback where Trevor will have his pants on.
Danielle Pinnock talked about BBC Ghosts' reception to CBS Ghosts.
Brandon Scott Jones talks about Isaac coming out of the closet after 250 years, and how Isaac's experience relates to his own.
Joe Port talks about Isaac and Nigel's series arc, and that Jones had input on their story, as well.
Brandon Scott Jones ships Sasappis/Thor.
Brandon Scott Jones and Joe Port mention Alberta/Pete as well.
By democratic cast consensus, the most fun character to play, on average, would be Isaac or Trevor. The most challenging would be Hetty, followed by Flower.
Details below the cut.
Participants
Host: Lynette Rice (Writer for Entertainment Weekly)
Ghosts' Attendees:
Román Zaragoza (Sasappis)
Danielle Pinnock (Alberta)
Brandon Scott Jones (Isaac)
Rebecca Wisocky (Hetty)
Joe Wiseman (Show Creator)
Joe Port (Show Creator)
Richie Moriarty (Pete)
Devan Chandler Long (Thorfinn)
Sheila Carrasco (Flower)
Asher Grodman (Trevor)
Utkarsh Ambudkar (Jay)
Notes:
Rice cuts out during the following periods: Introduction;
Questions & Answers (Chronological)
(Questions and Answers edited for brevity & clarity.)
Q: Do you have a nickname for the showrunners? What's the talk on the set?
A: We just call them "The Joes" [Wisocky w. cast concordance].
Or "Port and Wiseman" [Carrasco].
Port's just got a new nickname. They call him "The Big Tuna"; he's from Altoona. We call him "Big Tuna" now. [Long].
Q: It's based on a format that ran overseas. Can you explain: How does that work with the format? Are you free to use whatever you want, or only so much?
A: Yes. We never had that discussion. ... We knew it was going to be different because story comes from character and we were going to have different characters and we were going to be following them. The first two episodes are similar because Wiseman thought they did such a great job setting up the show's premise. [Wiseman]
Last year we did 18 episodes, this year, we're going to do 22 episodes. [Port]
Q: Who did you [Port] find, at first, to be the most challenging character to write for? [Question from Ambudkar]
A: Jay presents a writing challenge every week. We've found some creative work-arounds. Like the D&D episode, and the Possession episode. [Port]
Inside scoop: Maybe a few weeks before [filming], the Joes came to him and asked off-handed if he could do an impression of Wisocky. [Ambudkar]
"He just thought it was a request for general mockery." [Wisocky]
Ambudkar had an inkling of what was to come, but "it's been exciting to see Jay come into his own as a member of the ghosts." [Ambudkar]
Q: Who have you found, early on, was the most charming character to write for? ... It's not about actors. [Ambudkar]
A: I'm not answering that one. [Wiseman]
Thor? [Ambudkar]
Thor's fun to write [in general]. Everyone in the writer's room has a different impression of him. [Port] (General banter about Thor's voice ensues.)
Q: What is it like being in a room full of ghosts that you have to pretend aren't there? [Rice]
A: It was hard for [the Joes] to figure out what to do with [Jay]. It's Ambudkar's job to try not to laugh until 'cut!', and then it's "the best thing ever." The communication between the actors has improved every day, from when they started. They're all extremely supportive, fiercely loyal, but also frank with each other about their needs.
And there's no eye contact. "You're like a freshman walking down senior hall the first day of high school." [Long]
He can look directly into camera whenever he wants. [Ambudkar]
Rose McIver (Sam) and Ambudkar are the cast's backbone. McIver has the ability to do a scene with eight people there, and suddenly eight people not there. And Ambudkar has the ability not to listen to eight people, which is really hard. [Grodman]
McIver does a lot of the takes without anyone in the room (they're often in another room saying their lines) [Long], or with the other actors standing a couple of feet away from where she has to look [Grodman], and she has to match the eye lines. "It's a masterclass." [Long]
Q: In the first episode where Sam falls down the stairs and also runs into a wall [transcriber's note: Sam runs into a wall in Ep. 2], was that Rose [McIver], or was that a body-double?
A: Don't anyone tell her. It doesn't matter. We'll never know. [Ambudkar].
The stunt person who did it [falling down the stairs] was incredible. [Wiseman]
They filmed the staircase fall and the very first opening scene at the same time. The actors would have to pause, and "we'd just see Rose-facsimile tumble down the stairs violently. And we'd be like, 'oh wow.' And we applauded. I believe we, like, applauded. I think we have raw video of it somewhere." [Jones]
Moriarty has the video of it. He said the funniest part was that "none of us expected for it to be as violent as it was...we just no idea that she was going to sell it the way she did. It was amazing." [Moriarty]
Q: How did you address why Rose and Jay would stay in a house that was haunted? [transcriber's note: this question is extremely paraphrased]
A: Wouldn't you stay? It's a lovely house. [Wisochy]
Like the BBC version, Rose sees ghosts wherever she goes. "Going back to New York would be a hellscape, probably. These are at least the ghosts that she knows. And she gets to live her dream of opening this B&B. It's gonna be hard wherever she is." [Port]
Q: I'm eager to hear your first impressions of one another, and Rebecca [Wisochy], I'm going to start with you. Pick someone out of the ensemble.
A: "It's natural; when you think of TikTok, you think of Rebecca Wisochy." ... The very first table read was electric and "I fell in love with everybody. And it sounds like it can't possibly be true, but it was really really really true. Did everyone else feel that way? Say 'yes.'" She talks about how the casting department was wonderful and "Everyone feels like they can also be truly themselves in this environment." [Wisochy]
Q: Shelia [Carrasco], what about you? What did you think of Brandon [Scott Jones] and Richie [Moriarty]?
A: "This is a problem. I don't like this one question, at all. No." [Grodman]
Q: What was that first thought, when you saw them on set?
A: So handsome. And so funny. And so nice. Everyone was honestly so kind. It felt like you were going to your favorite improv class. She had a couple of friends in-common with Moriarty. Everyone in the cast is so great. [Carrasco]
"You thought I was lying, Lynette. I could tell by your follow-up that you thought there was something else there." [Wisochy]
Q: Román [Zaragoza], what did you think of Devan [Chandler Long]?
A: He was so funny. 'Oh man, he's taking my spotlight; alright.' "He's my brother." Zaragoza talks about driving down from Orogen for first day of filming. [Zaragoza]
Román came up to Long during lunch the first day of filming and just started eating food off of Long's tray. Long was intimidated by Román, but Román said "'everything's okay,' and after then, we've been best friends. I'm on his team. I've got his back." [Long]
Q: When did it dawn on you that you would be wearing these costumes the entire time? Asher, why don't you start?
A: "The costume question always comes here. ... Wearing no pants, ever, was good news for me. The bare legs will take care of the comedy, so I don't have to." [Grodman]
There was farcical cast concurrence on the hilarity of Grodman's legs.
Q: Did you have to show your legs in the audition?
A: No. But he did receive self-tapes of other Trevor auditions to show him their legs. Grodman thought this was a little weird. "In a few weeks, pants will be on, and the mystery of the pants will be solved." The episode is entitled "Trevor's Pants". [Grodman]
Q: Does that mean we'll see a costume change forever?
A: No. [Grodman & Wiseman] "The ghosts can't ever change." [Wiseman]
Q: Does anyone have a war story of you [Grodman] doing your job with no pants?
A: Everyone in the cast has a war story, besides Grodman. (j/) Ambudkar insists that Grodman "change right in front of him." (/j) [Grodman]
The cast jokes for a bit about Grodman's lack of pants.
"The man sits like a tree frog." [Ambudkar]
"Like he's riding a buffalo." [Long]
The "She can see us!" moment in the pilot, when Trevor's arms are up, was unscripted. [Wiseman]
Q: Richie [Moriarty], how many people have you hooked with that dang arrow?
A: "I thought you were going to say 'how many people have you hooked up with on set?' ... I am only going to answer the question I thought you were going to ask, which is: two. No. I've almost blinded multiple people." The tip of Pete's arrow was swapped out around mid-season for a foam tip. [Moriarty]
Zaragoza was poked in the temple by Pete's arrow before the tip was switched. He was leaning over to whisper something. [Zaragoza]
Q: Danielle [Pinnock], did you feel a pull to watch the BBC version?
A: Yes. She watched the first season. Pinnock was a replacement, and she did the audition via Zoom in pajama bottoms & a fur coat. "The best audition experience of my entire life." She talks about the BBC fans' reception to the adaptation. "I think the thing that's funniest is, online, the UK fans were like, hating on the show heavy on [like / my] TikTok and Twitter." [Pinnock]
Q: Really?
A: "Oh my God, they were like, 'THIS IS GONNA BE THE WORST SHOW EVER.'" [Pinnock]
There was general cast concordance on Pinnock's description of the UK fans' internet activities.
"Before it came out! Yeah." [Moriarty]
"Yeah, like before it even even came out. I'd be like, 'Yeesss, Alberta!' And they're like, 'EFF HER!!' And I'm like, 'Oh, my God. What's happening?'" [Pinnock]
"We were underdogs. Yeah." [Long]
"We have big shoes to fill." [Wisocky]
"Yeah. And now everybody is unanimously, across the board, in love with it. Except for the people on CBS who want us to save McGyver. But, I mean. We can't do nothing about that! ... But it's great to be loved across the pond and here as well." [Pinnock]
Q: How about the rest of you?
A: Carrasco didn't have a clear counterpart, so she felt comfortable watching it, but also understood why not every cast member would want to watch the BBC version. [Carrasco]
Moriarty only watched the pilot to get a sense of tone & story. [Moriarty]
Wisocky watched the entire BBC version. "I fell in love with it and couldn't stop watching it, just as a fan. ... Anyone who loves our show and hasn't seen the BBC version would enjoy watching it [the BBC version]." [Wisocky]
Q: The Joes [Wiseman & Port], were there logistical problems with making a permanent character out of the headless dude [Crash; Hudson Thames]?
A: It wasn't a technical limitation, however, they already have a large cast, so it was a story limitation. They love Crash, and he does make appearances in upcoming episodes. [Wiseman]
Q: "We're gonna find out, if we haven't already, about Isaac's sexuality. Is that what I understand? And can you [Jones] tease a little bit about about where we're going with that? And the Joes [Wiseman & Port] -- as an extension of that, I imagine, it's gonna be the same for everyone in terms of -- not their sexuality -- but we're going to hear more about their backstories as the many seasons go on. Let's start with you Brandon [Scott Jones]."
A: "Yeah. I'm excited. Yeah. I think it's already been teased a little bit in the show that Isaac has a love interest-- or, somebody that he's struggling to come to terms with -- with his feelings. And I think, yeah. As we move forward, we might see a little bit more of him and Nigel (who's played by John Hartman), a British ghost. And I think. Yeah. I'm really excited. There's something really exciting about -- I know that, just from a personal experience as a queer man, like, coming out of the closet when I did was already struggling, and I only had to be in for, like, 20 years. So somebody who's been in the closet for 250 years coming out of the closet, to me, feels like, darkly funny. And then also like, very very emotional. Which is fun. ... and what turns out, is even wilder, is that it turns out that he's into chickens. -- Just kidding! No. ... I'm excited about that. And, similarly, with the other characters as well. The deeper relationships we get; a chance to see, not only with who they have -- I mean, we have a will-they-or-won't-they with Alberta and Pete, and then, we learn a little bit more about my shipping of Sasappis and Thor. So that's -- [a planned thing]. So yeah. I'm really excited about that. I hope people respond well to it." [Jones]
Q: Joes [Wiseman & Port], what do you think? I like that shipping idea.
A: "There's a number of relationships that are sort of bubbling and percolating. And the Nigel and Isaac one is going to be a really fun thing to watch unfold. And there's just some beautiful scenes. There's one between Rebecca [Wisocky] and Brandon [Scott Jones] in an upcoming episode, where her character helps him deal. And ... it's an arc that we've been following this season and it's been nice. And Brandon [Scott Jones]'s been really helpful too, and had a lot of input. ... it's fun for everyone to take their turns. And we advance the ball of each story a little bit down the field as we unravel the mysteries of their lives and why they're in this, sort of, unresolved situation that they're in now." [Port] [29:38]
Q: Of the other ghosts, which would a) be the most fun, b) be the most challenging to play? [Student question]
A:
Long: Most Fun? Isaac. "Isaac gets to shit on everyone and it's hilarious. I love it." [Long] Challenging? Hetty. [Long] "But we're [Isaac and Hetty] nearly alike; we joke about that all the time. So Isaac and Hetty are very similar. Kind of. You think it would be hard?" [Wisocky] They talk about the musicality of Hetty. "Brandon Scott Jones likes to mock me, mercilessly for just talking about the musicality of the scene." [Wisocky] [Jones did a mocking repetition of "the musicality"] "...Well, it's important to me." [Wisocky] A lot of this importance comes from the costume restricting her breathing. Wisocky attributes part of Ambudkar's Hetty impression to his musician background. [Wisocky]
Wisocky: Most fun? Trevor. Difficult? Flower. Her preference for structure would make chilling out in order to play Flower difficult. [Wisocky]
Carrasco: Most fun? Pete. Difficult? Pete. It would be fun to be happy all the time, but challenging to make him funny. [Carrasco]
Moriarty: Most fun? Alberta. [Pinnock] has made a great character deeper & even funnier than on paper. Moriarty would appreciate the challenge. Difficult? Hetty. "She's [Wisocky] so much funnier than she thinks she is. And I think that it's a really hard role to play." [Moriarty]
Grodman: Most fun? Isaac. "It would be fun to try Isaac. I don't think I'd be able to do it." [Grodman] "No." [Jones] "But it would be fun to try." [Grodman] Difficult? Flower. Technically, Flower's "half in another world and half with us, and creating a through-line through that is an incredibly hard job. And a thankless job. It's just so hard." [Grodman]
Zaragoza: Most fun? Thor. Difficult? Thor. Thor is so big and loud and commanding, and Zaragoza thinks that would be challenging, but fun. "He's [Long] in it from his first coffee in the morning 'till we wrap at night. He's Thor. And it would be kinda fun to be like that for a whole day." [Zaragoza] "He's very method. He eats raw meat." [Grodman] Q: Devon [Long] how's your throat? [Rice] A: It's fine. If he's been off for a few days, it takes a day or two to get going, but, after that, he's fine. [Long]
Pinnock: Most fun? Trevor. Would like the costume. Difficult? Flower & Pete. "How Richie's [Moriarty] literally able to keep positive while we be throwing rocks at him all the time, and to keep that up but have such depth. Bravo. Across the board. And Flower is literally in her own universe. Sis is like -- We're on A, sis is on Z minus squared. And I just love Shelia [Carrasco] so much ... I just want to hype her because that's my bestie in the cast." [Pinnock] "I'm sorry, what?" [Long] "Y'all know this." [Pinnock] "We did not know this." [Long]
Q: Who would the Joes [Wiseman & Port] want to play? [Grodman]
A: They do not answer. They talk about casting. "I kept going to Joe [Wiseman], 'wow, do these people seem really good for these roles? This doesn't usually happen." [Port] Port mentions how the table read (March 13th, 2020) gave CBS confidence in the show.
Q: Ambudkar, if you had to pick a ghost, which one would you want?
A: Anyone. Everyone's created such strong Point Of View. [Ambudkar]

After a short break for Gallavich Week, we’re back with the Writer’s Spotlight, this time bringing you an interview you won’t want to miss with the delightful Jackie ( @jackieq ) aka J_Q, author of dozens of Gallavich fics, including PikUp, Cubicle Wars, Paradise City and the Holding Out for A Hero series.
GT: Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
J: I'm...a college instructor, teaching technical writing, critical thinking, and public speaking.
I have two teenagers and one husband...and (poor @wehangout will be envious) we just got a puppy. She's a 9 week old terrier/shih tzu.
I live in western Canada and I've been in this fandom, my first ever fandom, for 4 years this month.
GT: Those sound like classes everyone should have. Picture of the puppy, please! Make us all jealous.
J: Yes, those are the classes that are mandatory for all the program areas. Students love me because I make them do lots of public speaking. (jokes)
Tumblr media
That's Willow.
GR: Tell us a bit about your history with fanfiction. When did you first come across it and what fandom was it for?
J: I came across fanfiction for the first time after watching Shameless season 5 in early 2017. I honestly didn't even know it existed, and while Googling Gallavich stuff to soothe my soul, I happened upon a fic by 09cityskylights who I adore and miss. I basically started writing my own happy ending for them the moment I knew people did such things. ;0
GT: Did you start watching Shameless in 2017?
J: Yes, I watched episode one on Valentine's Day 2017 and binged that sucker...until season 5 when I put the brakes on to deal with what the hell just happened.
GT: Did you watch all seasons or skip ahead to the last ones?
J: Just the GV scenes after season 5 for the most part. I enjoyed the whole show but I just wasn't up to watching Ian with other guys at that point and didn't know when I might be forced to witness something I'd rather not. It was a fragile period of my life (this half in humor and half not). I'm still not quite sure what set this whole "shipping" business in motion...but I feel I could place a lot of blame on the club kiss!
GT: I'm right there with you, I stopped watching as well. And that kiss really was a game changer.
Who are your favorite characters aside from them?
J: Depends on the season. Seasons 1 and 2 it was Lip for sure...and wait for it...Debbie! Clearly my opinion has changed on that one. But Lip, while being a dick a lot, was just so cool. I literally adored the way he rode that bike around the SS following Frank. I miss Sheila and Mandy and who doesn't love Iggy...oh and now we'll add cousin Lou to the list (all 3 seconds of him). Really though, I miss those early seasons.
GT: Those were the best! And I'll always love Sheila.
Do you write about other characters as well or just Ian and Mickey?
J: The stories all center around Mickey and Ian, but I often/usually include other characters. I wrote an entire season 10 filler fic, so that required appearances by a lot of characters such as Ian's prison buddies and Larry, the parole officer. ;0
GT: What about OCs, do you include them as well?
J: OCs...Yes, since I've written 35 stories, several of them quite long, I've created many OCs. Sometimes just "walk-ons", but also key supporting characters. I've never written a multi-chap where Mickey doesn't have someone in his corner. For example, in Paradise City, it's his bodyguard; in Cubicle Wars, it's his partner; in PikUp, it's the other cab drivers. And now in Enemy Lines that I'm writing with stars_fall_on, we've given Ian a couple of buddies. So unlike Shameless, I believe the boys can actually make friends lol.
I actually remember the very first OC taking me by surprise. I was writing a scene where Mickey and Ian were in Panama looking for Lip and this young woman just waltzes into the scene, fully formed with a personality and a bit of backstory. She started talking and the scene moved the plot forward. It really felt like I did not participate in it other than to type.
GT: Do all your OCs come to life fully fleshed like that? What are they commonly based on?
J: Mostly they come to life like that. Slava is Mickey's partner in Cubicle Wars and he originally was based on Svetlana if she were a man; however, the moment he first appeared at Mickey's cubicle, Slava was way more playful and easy going than Svet would ever be so that was that. Right now, I'm drafting a scene for Enemy Lines with Mickey and an OC who had a very small part earlier in the story, but now she's got a long conversation with Mickey. My co-writer, Julia, and I know what we want the result of this scene to be, but we didn't really have a plan for how to get there. So I just started typing and let the character decide, so to speak. That used to freak me out though! But so far it always seems to work. I suppose that's what happens when writer's block kicks in. It doesn't come to you when you need it.
I also have a dozen one shots based on a world where Mickey and Ian raise Yev but in this world his conception was just an accident not a horrible experience. Anyway, the Yev I used is 100% my son. His obsession with order and dinosaurs. His mannerisms -- the way he shapes his fingers into long neck dinos who eat the food off his plate. <3
GT: I've never co-written a fic with anyone. How does that work?
J: For me, it starts with having a rapport with someone before the story-writing. I jive with them in conversation and then an idea shows up. Sometimes I've split the fic with the other writer -- I do a chapter/scene then they do a chapter/scene. Sometimes it's messier than that and we each write as the scenes take shape for us and we help to fill in missing spots. Sometimes we have a pretty clear outline to follow, and sometimes none at all. The most interesting collab was Coming Soon, which is 20 chapters/20 different writers and we NEVER had a plan so each chapter went wherever it went and you had one week to get your chapter done when it was your turn.
The most important "lesson" I guess, is that there is no way to do this kind of thing if your ego takes over or if you need your vision to be the final vision. But honestly, I've had no problems. I've enjoyed every collab I've been in (hopefully my co-writers can say the same!!).
GT: That's very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
In your opinion, what's the hardest thing when writing Gallavich fics?
J: Well at first, I hadn't read many fics so I was hesitant to write from either character's POV. Getting into their minds was intimidating in a way dialogue never was.
That's not a problem anymore. Now it's a matter of not straying too far into "touchy feely" type writing that to me doesn't feel authentic to the original characters, not that we are bound by that of course but I try to keep it consistent when I can.
GT: Do you have a preference for writing Ian or Mickey?
J: Not really no...I actually think it's the dynamic between the two that makes it interesting to write them. I've never even considered writing them separately. They're a package deal in my mind.
Mickey, however, can be a tad more fun since he's more colorful and you can take him to extremes that aren't as "charming" if Ian were to behave that way. ;0 Writing Ian often feels more familiar to me; his reactions and behavior are more universal in some ways so that makes it easier I think. Like he worries about basic things I worry about and he's more aware of outside opinions, more accommodating in that sense.
GT: What's the most fun thing about writing them?
J: Finishing a story lol. It's hard work before that! Well, I love writing dialogue between them, and I love how happy they make each other. Can't get enough of that!
GT: What kind of fics do you write the most?
J: I took a look and I've written 9 multi-chapters (some with a co-writer) and almost 30 one shots. There's some canon filler/fix-its, but many others are canon divergent or canon-ish. Even though my current co-fic, Enemy Lines, appears to be VERY angsty, I wouldn't say angst is my go to, but I do have some in almost every fic because that's generally where the plot thrives. I have several domestic one shots but my favorite genre is adventure/action. Jungle adventure with a Colombian cartel or security experts and a jewel heist...that kind of thing. I include sexy time but it's always a part of the overall plot. Probably what's most consistent through all the fics is humor. That's where I'm most comfortable.
Check out He's Married? It's just one big pile of humor.
GT: Gotta love a humorous fic! Where do you get inspiration from?
J: For the most part, I think of something --let's say asparagus lol-- and my next thought is Mickey and Ian and the many directions that combination could take us. There isn't ever a short supply of ideas, just a short supply of time to produce stories.
For specific scenes or characters though, a lot of that comes from real life. My husband and I have done our share of bickering. ;0 The rest comes from RESEARCH. I capped that because I do a lot of research. My daughter borrowed my phone last night and said "I love how my mother's last Google search was how to blow up a vehicle." Good thing she didn't borrow my phone after my "extreme restraints" search. ;0
GT: Oh, goodness! Wouldn't want that!
What does your writing process look like? Do you outline? Do you post as soon as the chapter is done or do you accumulate chapters before you start posting?
J: Maybe 70% of the time I have a basic outline, which consists of key moments that I use to ground the story. Sometimes it's those key moments that are the reason the story even happened. I see the scene then build outward from it, putting it into a universe. Sometimes I just have an opening or a job or a can of asparagus and need to see where it goes. Like I said, this used to be really scary but now not so much. (I actually do have hundreds of cans of asparagus as a plot device in Holding Out for a Hero ;0)
I definitely build up chapters before I start posting because I like to be able to post a story fast. Holding Out for a Hero I posted the whole thing at once. Cubicle Wars and PikUp, a chapter every day. Enemy Lines with Julia, the plan was three chapters a week. I've finished everything I started (Enemy Lines is at 46/50) except Panama Red which I started last year as one of your Gallavich Week entries. I was trying to post a one shot for each day but only managed 5/7. Panama Red was supposed to be a one shot but then I had more ideas and added a chapter but since then I've written two massively long, complicated multi-chapters so I haven't gotten back to it yet.
GT: You have no idea how happy it makes me to see people producing content due to Gallavich Week or the other events I host. This is what they're for, to encourage everyone to participate.
What's your favorite Gallavich fic that you’ve written so far and why?
J: I think about you all the time and all the hard work you put into giving us a common space and I love you for it.
I was just talking to Mary2 today about my favorite fic, Paradise City, because she is my Russian translator and it was the first fic she translated of mine. She likes the tone of the story, and perhaps that's one of the things I really like too. It's also set in the mid 70s through the 80s rock scene to the beginning of the grunge movement. I was a teenager when rock took a hit from the grunge bands. So for me, the music backdrop is wonderful.
Interestingly, it's also my least "popular" fic. It's based on a prompt to rework the Stacey Jaxx character in Rock of Ages into Mickey Jaxx, and I'd tried to get it posed for GV week 2018 but some longer stories need a hiatus before they can be finished so I didn't end up being able to post in time.
GT: What kind of comments do you most like to get?
J: Well definitely not the one Julia and I got last week calling us shit storytellers lololol. But ya know, I like 'em all. The quick little "loved this" to the long, thoughtful analysis. Bookjunkie once commented that she read my fics 80% for the fic and 20% for the comment section because I try to make it a conversational space. While it feels great to be told your work has touched someone or entertained them, I also just simply like chatting with fandom members. I don't really do any social media, so that's the space where I connect.
Recently, moonlight_inn [@ms-moonlight-inn ] and I wrote a tiny ficlet in the comment section of Enemy Lines. We did not know each other, but one comment let to another until we'd fully challenged each to keep it going until the story ended. Actually, there's a fic under my profile called Closest to a Kiss, and it was also something created in the comment section between me, nickrenkel, and RedStarFiction on one of RedStar's stories.
I've met all my best buddies in the comment section. (Right, Doddz? Holy shit that's one big snowman!)[inside joke]
GT: That's lovely. What are some of your favorite fics and/or writers in the fandom?
J: That's a tricky question! If I get started, then I will want to make sure I don't leave anyone out. There are so many writers I appreciate, each in their own way. When people ask for recommendations, I ask what their preferences are then suggest based on that because it's all so personal and changes with time.
I used to only read canon filler/fix it because that's what I needed while Mickey and Ian were separated. That's how I came across 09cityskylights, the first A03 writer I found. She wrote the Manifesto of Mickey Milkovich which followed him through his time in prison and across the border. That's some heavy angst there! But she also wrote Crush, which is as sweet and fluffy as it gets and I could live in that fic. She is also Canadian and I requested a scene of GV at Tim Horton's <3.
After the angsty canon spree, I discovered a treasure trove of one shots where Mickey was being treated so well. Classics like Floating by anomalously, Red Hands by romanticalgirl, and Lines by dragonspell to name a few.
By six months in, I was writing a lot so I've had to be picky about what I read, and for the most part since then, I only read what my friends post and I click on people who comment on my stories to see if I can return the love. I enjoy using the floating A03 comment box to leave long comments. (Thanks to @captainjowl for hooking me up with that timesaver.)[you can find that on this post]
I don't fully understand how popularity works on A03 but I've discovered so many damn good stories that fly under the radar that I actually prefer to give my time to those. You just never know when your comment might make all the difference. <3
GT: Ok, now I need to read about them at Timmy's.
I love the floating comment box! I'll see if I can find a link with instructions for those to leave it on the post. I sometimes even postpone reading a fic when I want to make sure to leave a long comment so I can read it on my computer instead of my phone.
AO3 popularity is a mystery to me as well.
What are your favorite tropes?
J: Same! It is nice to lay around with my phone reading but you can't leave a decent comment with a phone--or I can't anyway.
Canon related (divergent, filler, fix-it, etc) is still my favorite overall trope, but not necessary post s11 or maybe I just haven't gotten to that stage yet.
With canon-ish fics, it's the depth of their relationship I enjoy. With other fics, it's the new discovery of each other that's delightful.
I like some angst with a happy ending. I love action, adventure, hero-y type stuff. Humor is great in whatever form it takes. Historically based stories are good too. Domestic fics are good if they are examining how damn hard life can be with a significant other/kids.
I think it's more about writing style than about an specific trope as I'll read most tropes aside from ABO, mpreg or those types of things my brain can't wrap itself around. lol
GT: What are your favorite season and episode of Shameless?
J: The scene in the pilot where the Gallagher kids are pitching in to pay the electrical bill and the scene where Fiona walks in on chaos and yells" Ian, what the fuck?" are my favorite Shameless scenes. Season 4 has the overall best GV scenes. My favorite scene of all is Sorry, I'm Late (although bathroom sing-a-long is now up there.)
How about you?
GT: I totally agree, the first seasons were so good! The sense of family and unity was what made it so great for me.
If you could change one thing about Gallavich in canon, what would it be?
J: This concept was the basis of the first fic I wrote. I changed on small thing in each of the first five seasons, but none of it ultimately changed the outcome.
Initially, my thoughts are either not having Terry walk in on them in 3x6 or not having Ian's Bipolar so severe (or exist). However tragic these were though, they are the events that make the story so compelling and make their love seem so strong.
In contrast, Ian not visiting Mickey in prison/talking poorly of him through s6-7 was just plain frustrating and felt "off" so I'd probably go with that rewrite. Although I really hated that Ian said nothing while they lay on the blanket on the way to Mexico too. Damn it, there's too many lol.
GT: There are definitely way more than there should be, but these are not some people usually mention. You're right, those were out of character.
What did you think of the ending?
J: Considering we spent a few years wondering if we'd get endgame, the ending we did get is excellent. They're together, committed, happy. I feel like that in itself is a miracle. I've never been as concerned with what we did get throughout the seasons as what we didn't get. The plot holes in the story are the thing that I'm still harboring a little ill will over. I'm happy to do my own meta but too often it feels more like doing my own screenwriting. But all in all after several months, it turns out I can live with how it all came together.
GT: How do you imagine their future?
J: I'm not going to settle for anything less than them being together for the rest of their lives. I suppose they end up with a kid or two since the show was pretty clear about that in both season 10 and 11. I also imagine them moving back to the South Side, just the gravitational pull of the familiar and comfortable. Although the show seemed to suggest that the South Side was on the verge of becoming yuppie lol. But I think with kid(s) they'd want the support and babysitting options, and they'd want their kid(s) to hang with their cousins.
I really don't know about work and jobs though...maybe they keep building the security business (as long as they get rid of that stupid ass stolen truck; talk about having to suspend disbelief) or maybe Ian finds his way back to something EMT related. Mickey probably just rolls with whatever's going on at the moment, maybe becomes a stay at home dad for a bit...not sure. As much as I'd love to see some of these things play out on the screen, I'd spend the whole time terrified of what the writers throw at them.
GT: Oh, no, I was very happy to see the show end! The fandom will take it from now on, thank you.
J: My thoughts exactly!! Unhand the show!
GT: What about your fics plans? What have you got cooking?
J: Julia and I have a few more chapters of Enemy Lines to finish. I'm hoping to have one or two short fics for Gallavich Week. I was hoping to have a several, but the current fic went way longer than we thought it would.
The rest of my potential list contains finishing Panama Red (that's a for sure), another one shot for Timeless in which Mickey and Ian are trying to parent during the pandemic, a follow up epilogue to Cubicle Wars, a promise to two ladies to bring their prompt to life, finish the s11 filler fic, and two ideas I've had for quite awhile: one set in Vegas and one in a historical setting (damn it those are two of your GV week themes this year...I'm still going to tag them GV week lol). I guess we see which ones win. ;0
GT: Hahah, feel free to tag them, no matter when you finish them!
That's so much content, that's exciting!
J: My final words are for you. Thank you for putting together these fandom events and posts for so many years! <33
GT: It's my pleasure. 😊

Episode 3 Thoughts
It's 5 minutes in and I'm crying. How dare theyyyy. I was watching with Gary puppy next to me
Miss Holloway and Frank actually getting along is actually pretty sweet. And interesting that these two actually play pretty big parts in the Foster sisters' lives
Jaime really went off with the aesthetics like damn
Frank hating Amazon is perfect
Becky!!!
MIAH name drop!
NO. Attorney in a Hurry will forever live on in my heart
Miah this wouldn't have happened if you married Gary
Ted!? No... Not again...
Sheila is definitely just Mother Gothel
Yep. Totally saw her being part of the cult coming
Oooohhh new spell
Um... He's a literal child now tho, you could like, find a way to leave anyway?
Groupie!Lauren is so pretty tho
Holloduke BEST ship
Aaaaaa we actually get to see the Black Book and the illustrations are fucking cool
Gary puppy whimpered when Miss Holloway died. Like, yes baby, mood
Oh no... Haley
Alice and Deb!
WAIT. So this means, when Peter comes back from Abstinence Camp, his brother is fucking dead!? Ouch
So if Kale's a vessel for the Killer attack, does that make it... A Kale-r Track?
Ooh you actually *could* hear little bits of the Killer Track in the bg of Run Away With Me
Linda, Zoey, Gerald, and Sam be like: Killer Track who? Who needs a song and a week when we can start killing now. Be proactive
Miss Holloway devoting the song to Duke especially aaaaaaaaaa
Okay but I have been holding my breath, worried that in the end it would turn out Duke becomes the new vessel for the song, and then he plays it when he and Miss Holloway are on the boat. Thank fuck that didn't happen.
Aaaaaaa she loves him too much to really leave and she comes back to meet him again aaaaaa my heart

okay here’s how i think daddy would go if i was there (aka i fix everything by being awesome cool). the overarching ship universe does not take place in the same one as this episode does but if it Did this is how it would happen. also! i figured out what to call my s/is so they don't always have to be "my s/i" and they aren't seen as Literally Me. they're nyx but with an acronym representing their series in front. so‏‏‎ ‎hatchetfield‏‏‎ ‎nyx‏‏‎ ‎is‏‏‎ ‎hf!nyx. are we good? we are good.
-this is after they've developed feelings for each other but before they are dating because if they were dating the entire thing would be over in five minutes. (sheila: i'd love to have you for dinner ;) frank: you are a milf but i'm taken.) but having a crush on someone does not mean you can't develop feelings for someone else and i don't ever want my s/is to feel like they are the Only person my f/os could ever end up with i want their relationships to genuinely feel naturally developed.
-most of the beginning of the episode aka many many sad things happening to frank stays the same. maybe hf!nyx has a nice conversation with him while he closes up shop but nothing that would actually change the plot
-sheila and sherman come by, sheila and frank flirt, he has dinner with her, they get married. this happens in the span of like a week just like in the episode.
-hf!nyx finds out about this while they're on their honeymoon.
-hf!nyx: hey so why's toy‏‏‎ ‎zone‏‏‎ ‎closed? | lex: frank got married over the weekend. | hf!nyx, gripping their coffee cup so hard it bursts and boiling coffee burns their hand: Oh Cool That's Cool Awesome I'm. Happy. For Them.
-they try to act as normal as possible about it but they do probably snap and yell at him when he comes back into work and is a dick to them and lex. it shakes him up a little but not much. they just sort of sulk separately from each other until frank gets put in sheila's dungeon and they eventually start to worry about him after a little while.
-they go over to the youngs' house and (this is crucial) sheila flirts with them and they almost get fully invested into it. i Need to make it as clear as possible that in every single universe my self inserts are equally susceptible to hot evil women.
-"yeah i'm frank's friend from work where. is he." "forget about him...we should talk about us. <3" "how did you do that with your mouth." "do you want to make out or not." "is this like. a polyamory thing or a cheating thing? because i'm fine with the first one but not with the second."
-she Almost puts them in her dungeon but they get bad vibes and leave. i wanted them to be in the dungeon but it would not go with the story.
-the story then progresses as normal. frank almost escapes, sheila tries to steal his life force with her evil ritual, sherman uses it to steal sheila's life force and make himself a seven year old who frank has to keep happy because he has the money to support his toy store. and that Would be the end but i can fix it watch this
-frank comes back to work, bringing his new evil kid with him. lex and hf!nyx are weirded out by this. said evil kid is constantly bossing frank around and looks a lot like sherman‏‏‎ ‎young.‏‏‎ ‎they are more weirded out by this.
-hf!nyx goes to‏‏‎ ‎miss‏‏‎ ‎holloway, who is friends with frank and knows about the supernatural. she reveals the black book, the spellbook that the youth stealing spell was from originally. hf!nyx loses their mind about this because they are a big nerd about magic things. it is crucial that they learn spells. in any timeline.
-miss holloway, frank and hf!nyx team up and together they each steal two years of sherman's life, making them each two years older (pretty much harmless) and making him a baby with no remaining memories or ability to do any more blackmailing or evil things.‏‏‎ ‎frank‏‏‎ ‎still‏‏‎ ‎has‏‏‎ ‎access‏‏‎ ‎to sheila's money and gets to keep his store.‏‏‎ ‎miss‏‏‎ ‎holloway raises the kid because she's good with children and has mom vibes. happily ever after. thee end :)
-btw there is a theory that frank has magic which i will take as fact until i am proven wrong because 1) i want him to be relevant again SOOOOO BAD and 2) psychic powers bonding moments!!!!

If you're still doing the character thing: Anne Bonny, Azula, Karen Jackson
Anne Bonny:
My three favorite things about them:
Her loyalty. When Anne loves, she loves HARD. And you see that in her relationships with Jack and Max.
Her lack of ambition. While I LOVE ambition as a character trait (especially in female characters) Anne's lack of ambition is kind of refreshing in a show like Black Sails where almost all of the other characters are after something. At the end of the day Anne doesn't really care about treasure or power. She just cares about the people in her circle and supports them in their goals. (Those characters, again, mainly being Jack and Max.)
The way she's allowed to be dirty and say crude things. It's the trope of the grumpy warrior who is only soft for the people they care for....but in a female character. We really don't get female characters like Anne too often.
My three least favorite things about them:
I don't really like that the fact that she was the one who got Max captured by Vane in S1 was brushed over so fast. Yes she was the only person in Vane's crew that stood up for Max and she helped Eleanor free Max and murder her rapists, but she was part of the reason Max ended up there to begin with. Other than a brief comment about it from Max in S1, it wasn't even really acknowledged. Meanwhile the show allowed Anne to be angry at Max for betraying her and Jack for almost an entire season.
The fact that she killed poor Charlotte
????? I don't think I have anything else
My three favorite dynamics with them in it (romantic or platonic):
Anne/Max: Obviously! I love these two and their love story really spoke to me. I wish they had gotten a more explicit resolution :(
Anne/Jack: Another obvious choice. I think their relationship is a bit more unhealthy than some people like to admit (mostly the way she was an abuse and rape survivor and spent years feeling indebted to him because he saved her) but they are ride or die.
????? Anne didn't really have a lot of prominent relationships outside of Max and Jack. I do think her dynamic with Idelle was kind of compelling and I wish we had seen more of it. But I don't think it would have ever been a proper friendship since Idelle (rightfully) doesn't like Anne because she killed her friend.
My three favorite moments of theirs:
"I can't be your wife, Jack." I was just so proud of her
The scene where she opens up to Max about the abuse she suffered from her ex husband. It was so sad but very revealing :(
When she killed Max's rapists
Azula:
My three favorite things about them:
Her competence. I loved the fact that she was a villain that should be feared and she was not easily beaten. The other characters were always painfully aware of how easily she could win. And sometimes she did (ex: Ba Sing Se).
Her complexity, even though it makes me cry. Yes she was a great villain but she was also an abused teenage girl and a large part of her wants a sense of normalcy. We see that part really shine through in "The Beach" specifically :(
Her lines and dialogue. She truly has some of the most chilling (and iconic) lines on the show.
My three least favorite things about them:
The fandom discourse surrounding her. I feel like with Azula people are often either of two ways about her: They think she's an irredeemable monster or they think the way she ended up was everyone's fault but her own and use the fact that she was abused to excuse her of everything. I have a more middle opinion of her. I think she is deserving of sympathy and a shot at redemption since she was an abused child. BUT in doing so she would need to address the hurt she caused to people. (And yes Zuko, Mai, and Ty Lee would all be on that list of people). She's a complicated character that deserves nuanced takes on her. Other than that though I don't think I have any issues with her.
My three favorite dynamics with them in it (romantic or platonic):
Azula/Zuko: Ugh this is one of the most interesting but tragic relationships on the whole show 😔
Azula/Mai/Ty Lee: Yes it ended in flames and was problematic but a trio of villainous girls kicking ass???? How could I not love that????
Azula/Ursa: I'm into this dynamic more for the potential? I so wish we had gotten to see more of it (that's not the comics lmao) because it could be so interesting and angsty. Idk. I think about Azula and her deeply complicated relationship with her mother a lot.
My three favorite moments of theirs:
"My own mother....thought I was a monster. She was right of course but it still hurt." And just every moment in "The Beach" tbh. Such a good Azula episode.
"Don't flatter yourself. You were never even a player." ICONIC
Her breakdown when she hallucinated Ursa in the series finale. So intense and heartbreaking.
Karen Jackson:
My three favorite things about them:
Her love for Sheila. It was the first thing that drew me to her character in S1.
She's pretty funny a lot of the time. Idk. I just know that a good amount of the iconic scenes from the early seasons involved her.
Her strive to want to be successful. The scene where she asks Frank to come to her parent-teacher conference always breaks my heart because she wanted someone to be proud of her. It makes the way they wrote her character off even more infuriating to me.
My three least favorite things about them:
The fact that she raped Frank
Her ableism towards her baby. (To be clear I firmly believe that Karen had every right to not want to keep the baby. I just wasn't a fan of some of her comments.)
The way she was written off. Especially knowing it likely happened because Laura Slade Wiggins didn't want to do nude scenes anymore 😕
My three favorite dynamics with them in it (romantic or platonic):
Karen/Sheila: The relationship definitely wasn't the best at points (Sheila fucking the grown ass man that slept with her underaged daughter????) but I loved the fact that the show had a complex relationship between a mother and a daughter at one point. I miss them.
Karen/Lip: I don't ship them but their dynamic in S1 at least was honestly pretty cute. The 'I promise I don't love you' scene is one of the most memorable angst scenes from the show imo.
Karen didn't really get the chance to have any other prominent dynamics :( I will forever be pissed about the awful way they handled Karen and Mandy. They actually had a lot in common and in a better world they would have been girlfriends friends.
My three favorite moments of theirs:
Pissing on her father's grave. Iconic.
The 'I promise I don't love you' scene between her and Lip. Idk why I love that scene so much but I do. It was just so well acted.
The scene between her and Sheila where Sheila apologized to her for not always being a great mother. Just the EMOTIONS.
Thank you! :)

Red vs Blue Season 2 Rewatch
Well I'd meant to do my season two rewatch Saturday but was sick most of the weekend. But now I'm feeling well enough to watch and enjoy!
Aw, I forgot that the first scene of the season is Doc's introduction.
Church being so done with Caboose and Tucker, and the combination of O'Malley and Caboose means that his threats involve giving Church a birthday present (sure it's Tucker's head, but you know).
Just imagining Doc's expression as the Blues explain that Church is a ghost and now a ghost in a robot makes me laugh. Also another thing is that the Blues apparently have a Spanish-English dictionary, which somehow the Reds never bothered to get for years. Sorry, Lopez!
I love that Church actually knows military lingo and it's Tucker and Caboose who are like "???" whenever he tries to be smart in earlier seasons. Also Tucker just being like "Nope, I like my blood on the inside."
God, I forgot that Church went "I can't pronounce Frank, we're calling you Doc." Like..Frank? At least protesting over DuFresne makes a little more sense! Church really does love to mess with people. Also Doc's speech about the differences between being a medic and a doctor remains iconic. "Well, a doctor cures people. A medic just makes them more comfortable.. while they die."
I also forgot that Church just straight shoots Caboose (and actually hit him!) so Doc will go over and help him. Stone cold. "I can't believe he shot me!" "Oh, don't even START Caboose!"
Also love that the Reds have staff meetings, which Grif presumably sleeps through. Though why they all even trusted Grif to carry ammo around, I just don't know.
And the beginning of the iconic surrender exchanges. Cake, flags (wait no flags), Lopez. Doc turning into a fake hostage. "You don't get anything except humiliation and ridicule!" "We've already got that! What else do you have?"
I forgot that Doc immediately assesses the Red Team, realizes Grif is the least popular of the group, and immediately starts insulting him to curry favor. Speaking of stone cold, like dang, Doc.
Another iconic scene is Church ragging on Tucker as he wiggles his switch. :D And of course Sarge's amazing code is "drive." He's definitely that guy whose password is Password1235.
Fun parallels with Donut's "I'm so freaking lost" and Doc's "Help, this Jeep is kidnapping me!"
Lopez is like a son to Sarge! Sarge loves him so much that he forgives him for turning against him and murdering him. Also Sarge thinking he can fight a machine gun.
Tucker: "You hardly ever used your legs before anyway. I've never heard of a grown man asking for so many piggy-back rides." Church: "Hey, I already told you: that was for science." And thus canonical piggyback rides were established.
Bold of Simmons to call someone else Poindexter.
Everyone thinking Church is shy because he can't turn around.
Grif using Doc's words against him, and thus a low-key dislike of each other was born.
Poor Doc. Stuck wandering the wilderness aka the 60 feet or however much space there is between the bases.
Simmons and Grif squabbling like an old married couple trying to tell the story about the Blues and Doc.
I am usually against love triangles, but the Lopez/Sheila and Sheila/Caboose is so good.
Caboose having a good idea, except they didn't consider that Lopez would immediately escape.
Ah, the old days when Lopez actually believed in the Red Team. Also will always love "Primary objectives: 1. Fix everything. 2. Hate the orange one. 3. Call mom more often." Lopez calling Sarge father! And then his brutal disillusionment as the Reds almost kill him.
Simmons loves that machine gun.
Lopez/Sheila is such a good ship. Love their meet-cute. Of course then Tex steals his body. Also Sheila being into Lopez AND Tex. I'd forgotten about that.
"Tucker, there's a very fine line between not listening and not caring. I like to think that I walk that line every day of my life."
Love Tex just rolling with "Sure, I'm a ghost." And now we're finally into the O'Malley plot which is so much fun.
Sarge's been wanting to get a cyborg on his team for this whole dang war. He's so happy when Simmons becomes a cyborg. Meanwhile Grif and Simmons are united in hating the idea.
Tex telling embarrassing stories about Leonard's high school years. :D And the beginning of this very weird plan to rescue Caboose from O'Malley. And seeing the inside of people's heads. Or at least Caboose's head, which means a stupid Tucker and a Church who is even more foul-mouthed than Church himself plus he's Caboose's very best friend. Sarge the southern pirate. Donut the girl. Grif's yellow armor.
Grif sounds almost impressed when he does the 1-2-3 count that he pulled on Simmons and realizes that Donut beat him at his own game. Unfortunately then he promptly gets run over by Sheila.
"Suck it, Blue!"
I honestly love Lopez's love song to Sheila. He's such a romantic.
Church is such a nerd. His insults are so bad.
And the beginning of Doc and O'Malley's saga begins. Their juxtaposition is amazing.
And the beginning of cyborg Simmons! I still love that even if Simmons instantly insults Grif, the fact remains that he went through surgery to save Grif's life. And he sounds genuinely worried when Grif starts coughing, right up until the point he figures out Grif is using his brand new replacement lungs to smoke. And Simmons trying to get Grif to eat healthy and stop smoking. Good luck with that, Simmons...
Simmons apparently likes to dance, if his fury over the assumed cancelled holiday party is any indication. That's a prompt for someone!
Donut and Tucker are both the romantics of their team because Tucker thinks Sheila/Lopez is sweet, he just doesn't want to deal with love triangle bullshit.
Meanwhile Lopez and Sheila go on strike for machine rights and I for one support them wholeheartedly.
Double O Donut! I love Donut and Grif's misadventures together.
Tucker: "Sheila and Lopez are now considering leaving to form their own robot army. They said no one would dare oppose them." Church: "What?! Did you try to talk them out of it?" Tucker: "No way, I wouldn't dare oppose them!"
Poor Donut. He has no sense of direction. And poor Doc, stuck with O'Malley for company.
Sarge talking about the entertainment value of being tortured. Sarge...what.... I'm not gonna kinkshame, but I'm definitely gonna think about kinkshaming Sarge.
Donut and Caboose's truth or dare scene is so cute. They're such a fun dynamic. And I really wonder what Donut was gonna say about the Red Team plans until Church possesses him. And Church is immediately super chill in Donut's head, and wants to just relax and do some arts and crafts. And Donut considers Caboose his friend! And Caboose really likes Private Biscuit.
Church trying to bargain for two robots so he can have Tex back is sweet right in the middle of a ridiculous scene. And Donut being so excited for a sleepover with the Blues.
I'm just saying, Sarge would make an excellent car salesman the way he's messing with the Blues over these robots. And Donut must be rubbing off on him, heh, because "I've been told my lube jobs are fantastic!" is definitely a Donut line.
Church using military lingo in one episode and then a handful later not understanding military time is such a Church thing.
Finally to the iconic Tucker line of Grif and Simmons. "It's just the same two guys bickering like an old married couple. I've only been listening for like five minutes and I can already tell they're really in love. Why can't they see it?" And Church doesn't even bother to argue.
Tucker discovering Red vs Blue is a lie is still amazing. As in the ironic discussion, which I will always love.
Donut's sarcasm when he realizes they're leaving him and Sheila behind to guard each base. Man versus tank. Should go well for him.
And set up for season three, which has some of my favorite team ups-- Sarge and Caboose, Grif and Church. That'll also be a fun rewatch.
Time for the bonus features aka Outtakes, PSAs, and deleted scenes!
Honestly most of the PSAs this season weren't great, but the Fourth of July fireworks safety one did make me laugh. And it does have Donut with his Kiss the Cook apron!
Outtakes were okay, with the running theme of Burnie trying to explain adlibbing to everyone else, haha. Also "Great Caesar's Dressing!" is as catchy as "Great Caesar's Ghost!" And the outtake of Sarge being Hamlet. And Tarzan. And the Grif and Simmons audition tape was fun.
Deleted scenes! Doc and Vic having some weird chemistry. Calling Doc hot and saying he missed him. And Doc complaining that no one likes him and that someone stole his wallet. Of course then Vic immediately gets mean. The others include Sarge and Grif prepping Simmons for cyborg surgery before Grif gets hurt and they actually go through with it, which mostly includes getting Simmons super drunk.  Sounds about right for Blood Gulch!

After four in a row
Just to jog the readers' memory, in 1982 when Brazil had giants like Zico and Socrates nfl jerseys, they failed to defend against the Italians. A 2 2 draw would have sufficed but they chose to attack and messed it up. That Brazilian side was probably the best one not to win the World Cup..
Cheap Jerseys free shipping Dhoni seemed acutely aware of the format's penchant to make anything happen and he worked tirelessly to ensure he wasn't caught off guard. He had assessed this to be the "best batting wicket in the tournament", but keeping the runs down was crucial because "it is a knockout game. If it's an off day for you, you're completely out and you have to start all over again.".  Cheap Jerseys free shipping

We do have plans to bring in the new team for exhibition matches either with an international team or a friendly Indian team. We will also look at holding camps for players here maybe even bring in the Blackburn coach to train them, and take players abroad for training. Our aim is to find an Indian footballer in the Blackburn Rovers team sometime in the future.
