What is Poseidon's relationship with all his siblings?

I'd say surprisingly good? He is closer with his brothers but still.

Hestia: The gremlin, but everyone has soft spot for her.

Demeter: Complicated. He fancies her very much, but she knows it wouldn't work (land and sea) Really close still, calls her occasionally "Deo" affectionately.

Poseidon doesn't take sides on "Persephone mess" or doesn't try to rebuild Hades&Demeter bond (which Demeter appreciates), but for sure he is paranoid that Benthesikyme will get snatched like the Deo's girl.

Hera: They butt heads as their personalities dont mesh well. Thinks she is a killjoy, overly stuborn (ha! irony) and stuck up but they have their moments. Likes Hera's dry humor and snark.

Hades: Likes to call him "Aides" than "Hades." Teases and pokes him for reactions. Is not afraid to call him out either, doesn't fear him at all. Really pushes (least tries) Hades to be more social and less awkward - as Hades mostly talks to his wife or his brothers . Hades is a cat in the group of dogs.

Zeus: Really complicated after Zeus got his title as King of Gods. Ego related, but also Poseidon complains that power has risen to Zeus' head making him insufferable time to time. Doesnt help that they are equally stuborn at times. In the end, he is his brother and he cares for this dumbass too and he respects him.

Me explaining to my poor mother the symbolic relationships of Poseidon to Amphitrite and to Demeter in ancient religion and nature things for fifth time of the day.

And theorizing by context clues, that in during when Hymn to Demeter was spun and the other with Poseidon/Demeter + cave myth (that was later to connected to Persephone seeking part, as the cult got super popular) can hint that there was really really bad famine during those parts Hellas.

History is fun, understanding whole different culture is fun too.

a quick psa to anyone recently getting into greek mythology and is a victim of tumblr and/or tiktok misconceptions:

-there is no shame in being introduced to mytholgy from something like percy jackson, epic the musical or anything like that, but keep in mind that actual myths are going to be VERY different from modern retellings

-the myth of medusa you probably know (her being a victim of poseidon and being cursed by athena) isn't 100% accurate to GREEK mythology (look up ovid)

-there is no version of persephone's abduction in which persephone willingly stays with hades, that's a tumblr invention (look up homeric hymn to demeter)

-as much as i would like it, no, cerberus' name does not mean "spot" (probably a misunderstanding from this wikipedia article)

-zeus isn't the only god who does terrible things to women, your fav male god probably has done the same

-on that note, your fav greek hero has probably done some heinous shit as well

-gods are more complicated than simply being "god of [insert thing]", many titles overlap between gods and some may even change depending on where they were worshipped

-also, apollo and artemis being the gods of the sun and the moon isn't 100% accurate, their main aspects as deities originally were music and the hunt

-titans and gods aren't two wholly different concepts, titan is just the word used to decribe the generation of gods before the olympians

-hector isn't the villain some people make him out to be

-hephaestus WAS married to aphrodite. they divorced. yes, divorce was a thing in ancient greece. hephaestus' wife is aglaia

-ancient greek society didn't have the same concepts of sexuality that we have now, it's incorrect to describe virgin goddesses like artemis and athena as lesbians, BUT it's also not wholly accurate to describe them as aromantic/asexual, it's more complex than that

-you can never fully understand certain myths if you don't understand the societal context in which they were told

-myths have lots and lots of retellings, there isn't one singular "canon", but we can try to distinguish between older and newer versions and bewteen greek and roman versions

-most of what you know about sparta is probably incorrect

-reading/waching retellings is not a substitute to reading the original myths, read the iliad! read the odyssey! i know they may seem intimidating, but they're much more entertaining than you may think

greek mythology is so complex and interesting, don't go into it with preconcieved notions! try to be open to learn!

Yes! I'v drawn Benthesikyme few times and (kid, on land) Triton once at @godlyolympostv comics.

And little Rhode makes appearance in the Old Armor comic. I'm intending on drawing them all least in the comics (cuz Amfi/Posy)

Kids in order:

Adult Triton is still but a post it note doodle. ;_; I drew him once for comic and my Krita decided to corrupt the original file.

Here is one of my fav panels starring Benny and her father. She will be the shortest (200cm lol) as Triton is big enough to sink a warship and Rhode will be gigantic too when she grows up.

What does the big 6 sibling think of their dad Kronos? I saw pretty art and I saw you have design for all of the big 6 + Krono's hands and I wanted to ask :3

Fully negative and no real parental bond between them. They all speak about him by his name, no "dad" or even "father." Full rejection.

Zeus would have the most negative view of the tyrant, as he spend the most time with Kronos while pretending to be servant to him during the mission to save others. Others had no time to know Kronos like Zeus had before going on the run.

And rebellion stuff.

Sadly no.

I havent had the spark for it, as i usually have to have a "root" where to start cooking. Only things I have are currently: curly hair, older, hood and these cool translucent wings. (pic related, boi is going to be bg material)

So have Hecate doodle instead. Been just fighting with full illustration of her while comic making on the side.

What did Iris look like during the Titanomachy? (Or more specifically what did she look like in that one doodle with her and Hermes where she wore that helmet thing, I love your art btw its so pretty ^^)

Have Titanomakia Hestia (AKA Miss designers-headache) too, my peeps. Iris' armor has similar cut to her usual attire. It has sharper, slightly sporty, dangerous feel. Functioning by Rule of Cool.

Before Arkes betrayal, she and her would dress in similar uniforms. Like this (though these are my very rough references for then) :

Perhaps yes, perhaps not... I like to keep it vague as Calypso is not sure of it either. But he is definitely worried and misses his daughter.
