Finally caught shiny Dhelmise via SoS chain, a perfect shiny to hunt this season!

After 786 eggs, I've hatched two shiny Dhelmises!!! The first one was at 642 eggs. I'll keep one and trade the other. Once I hatch the remaining ~100 eggs, I'll return to the starters hunt with shiny Scorbunny.

Yet another aspect of Shiny hunting I wasn't familiar with in Generation 8 (I mostly stuck to Masuda Method and Max Raid Date skipping) were the mechanics of Shiny hunting via fishing.

I DID IT! Finally after 8 and a half months I got my shiny dhelmise at 6:33pm Nov. 18. It took so long I forgot I already used that nickname on my other dhelmise, but who cares I can just change that

After a whopping 45 eggs, I've hatched a shiny popplio!!!! And that completes the popplio line.

Unfortunately, the gen 4, 5, and 6 starters cannot be moved into Shield version. The only other starters that I need shiny that can be brought into Shield version are Scorbunny x 1, Sobble x 1, Grookey x 1, and Rowlet x 1.

But instead of pursuing starters, I'll take a little detour and pursue a shiny that has grabbed my attention: Dhelmise! It is a glorious red shiny that I've been eyeing for a while. What's more, I'll only need one of them, so there's a good chance the hunt won't go on for absurdly long.

In my defense Dhelmise is my all time fave ‘mon 👉👈 also congrats on getting a melanistic one! Wish I’d been lucky enough to get mine so early in a chain(I bet I would have but of course right when I became eligible for the long chain bonus it got locked behind Arceus rank 😔).
