Even though we know the cult is bad and abusive, the subtext (that I'm applying to your animatic lol) is that amane learned this technique from her cult leaders. It's easy for outsiders to say "the cult is evil just leave!" it really isn't that simple. Yes, amane grew up with the literal torture her mom put her through, but she probably also had moments like this, where her mom or her big brothers/sisters took her hands and looked in her eyes and gave her words of love and affection. And now she's doing this with Fuuta, who also wants love and acceptance into a group.

And this moment is done to further the agenda of a cruel abusive cult, but it's also a moment of pure love, affection, and CONNECTION between two people who really really need that support right now. Sure, Amane and Fuuta look deranged to us outside, but to them, they're in that room, together, making their lives better through their connection to each other, and they're trying to show that love to every other member of MILGRAM (except Shindou I guess).

They’re traumatized people genuinely connecting with one another and doing their best with what they have! Of course we know the cult itself is abusive and bad but they’re relying on Amane’s religion because it’s also what helped her get through the pain, and now she’s using it to “save” others too because she wants to help!! Their genuine bond still exists at the end of the day… To them, her religion offers that forgiveness to everyone and anyone, no matter “how far gone” you are and accepts you as you are, flaws and all; which is what fuuta and amane are looking for.

They’re healing through genuine connection but at the same time… oughhdjdn… they’re so complex.

My opinion on the Shindou Amane Case

Okay, before I didn't know what to say when I saw and read this news, but what was clear was that even though I was in a different fan base, I felt sad. I feel sad because this fan base is damaged by the unethical actions of a number of unstable kids who claim to be fans of this bandori. Not only from her country, but even worse there are Indonesian people who took part in this action, besides that the voice actor from the anime bang dream was also attacked with negative words and even in one group of fans there were hopes she killed herself (swear i was angry and also cried because of this). And what I want to say is: If we claim to be fans of the group (whatever that is and whoever the members are), then be a good fan. Then, how? Simple First: From ethics and speech. In the sense of keeping an attitude and speaking politely and well, remember your tiger's mouth, and tongue is sharper than a sword. After that always support groups and members, if you cannot use material (buy cd or merchandise etc.) then you can still support it by using words so that members will feel happy. If members make mistakes or something bad, then give them understanding or advise them well so they realize their mistakes. What if they don't realize their mistakes? Keep on advising until they realize their mistake and don't forget to pray for them so that they are given awareness. In conclusion: Keep supporting the idol group and members that you like and be kind and watch your words, don't comment negatively to them or one of the members. And because she is a voice actor that can be said to be quite new so she still needs a process and this takes a long time. So for those who are truly fans, keep supporting them so that they stay motivated. For haters please stop saying bad things to them before karma comes to you. Maybe that's all I want to say and hopefully this will be a lesson for the future, I also hope that there will be no more things like this in any fandom. Amen.
