Story:

The last thing they remembered was the sound of their heartbeat slowing. A haze of red filled their vision, and then—nothing. When they awoke, their lungs burned, their limbs felt weak, and the world smelled of sweat and iron. They were alive. But where?

The memory of their previous life lingered like a dream: a mundane existence, full of small ambitions and unfulfilled potential. They had always craved adventure but had lived cautiously. Now, lying on a hard wooden cot, they stared at a dusty ceiling, trying to piece together what had happened.

The door slammed open, startling them. A young man, his face etched with tension, shouted, “Get up! Titans breached Wall Maria!”

Titans? The name sent a shiver through their spine. They had spent countless hours in their past life watching Attack on Titan. Was this some bizarre afterlife, or had they truly been reincarnated here? There was no time to dwell.

Scrambling to their feet, they realized their body was younger, leaner, and stronger than it had ever been. They were clad in civilian garb, a far cry from the Survey Corps uniform they had idolized. Outside, the chaos was tangible—people screamed, buildings crumbled, and shadows of Titans loomed over the skyline.

The instinct to run clashed with the knowledge they carried. They knew how this would play out, the horrors awaiting these people. They could save lives if they acted now. Yet, they were no soldier, just someone with fragmented memories and an adrenaline rush.

They grabbed a child cowering nearby and sprinted toward the inner gates, urging others to follow. The terrifying sight of a Titan devouring someone just meters away sent a wave of nausea through them, but they kept moving. Survival was their only choice.

Days later, within the cramped walls of the refugee camp, they grappled with their new reality. Their memories of the anime gave them insight, but this world wasn’t a scripted show. It was real, raw, and unrelenting. Joining the military became their goal—not out of heroism, but necessity. They needed to prepare for what was coming, to use what little foresight they had to make a difference.

Training was grueling, but the knowledge of maneuvering ODM gear came to them unnaturally quickly. They avoided drawing attention, pretending their skill came from practice, not premonition. Friendships formed, though the shadow of their knowledge made connections bittersweet. Who would survive? Who wouldn’t?

One night, staring at the stars, they made a vow: they wouldn’t just follow the story they remembered. They would rewrite it. If they could steer events, even slightly, perhaps they could prevent some of the tragedies that haunted their memory.

But as the drums of war grew louder, and the truth of the Titans began to unravel, they realized something chilling: their knowledge wasn’t perfect. Events began to shift. Choices they made rippled outward, altering timelines. They had the chance to shape this world, but every decision came with unforeseen consequences.

As the Colossal Titan loomed over Wall Rose, they tightened their ODM straps, a fierce resolve burning within them. Reincarnated into this brutal world, they weren’t just another victim of fate. They were determined to leave their mark, even if it meant facing the monsters—both outside the walls and within themselves.

This is a Time of High Strangeness.. have you noticed? Have you had missing time, sleeping too much or too little.. or even just right but feeling out of sorts as if you didn't sleep a wink?!
