you're my religion priest! s. geto x f!reader pt.1→pt.2
synopsis: y/n moved into a small and tight knit town to take care of her elderly grandmother. what happens when she attends a sermon with her grandmother, and finds herself lusting over someone she cannot have.
fandom: jujutsu kaisen ⌗ priest suguru geto x female reader⌗ modern au content warnings: mild cursing, smut, head (giving), religious themes(?), slight degrading at the end, angst(?) public sex, NSFW.
author's note: over 11k words, u guys have fun
“..in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit. amen.”
father geto finishes off the sermon with the routine prayer. he takes the opportunity being on stage to scan the loyal audience. it was the regular, older people he preaches to. the same people who boast about him being so devoted to God at such a young age. how that when they were his age, they were off sinning. he thinks about the constant praises about being a young devoted follower, but it immediately stops when he sees her.
a young lady, who seemed to be around the same age as him, sitting in the very back with an elderly woman. even though she was dressed as modestly as possible, the black floor length dress immersed your body in all the right places.
when did he allow his immoral thoughts come to mind
“oh father! you must meet mrs. johnson’s granddaughter- maybe you can convince her to turn to God.” an elder of the church whispered to the priest. she gently pulled him to the side, off of the stage.
“as you must have heard by now, edith’s grandbaby is out of control. rumor has it that she’s been caught using multiple different contraband, and premarital sex! can you believe edith would allow this to go on for so long?!”
geto mentally sighs, gossiping was always an issue at church. especially since it was located in a very small town, there wasn't much to talk about. when you were new to town, the locals went wild. fabricating very detail of your life, and spouting that nonsense through their teeth.
“with respect dear mary, the scripture speaks strongly against gossip. i’ll talk to the young lady, but please watch yourself. for there is no greater sin than sin.”
she nods while looking down, unable to meet geto’s gaze. too embarrassed to voice her concern furthermore, she mutters “yes father, please forgive me.”
“i am not the one you should be asking for forgiveness, ask the man above. now if you’ll excuse me, i’ll introduce myself to the newest member of our church.” he smiles gracefully before making his way towards mrs. johnson and her ‘scandalous’ granddaughter.
he takes small steps towards you, puffing his chest out as he walks with a sense of pride. sure you were a pretty girl, but he was only interested to guide you through your religious journey.
“father geto, i introduce you to my granddaughter. this is y/n. she’s only 20, and she recently moved into town to take care of me. isn’t she the kindest?”
he loses his train of thought. he's unable to bring himself to utter a single word. you were much more gorgeous up-close. if he were to describe your beauty, he’d be too overwhelmed, and wouldn’t know where to start. maybe he’d start with the way your nose fits your face perfectly. or, how your smile molded perfectly with your faint smile lines.
geto snaps out of his trance, and quickly introduces himself.
“i’m father geto. welcome to this church, i hope your stay has been great so far.” he purred.
you squint your eyes at him. almost as if you already knew the rumors going around. nonetheless, you shake his hand.
“like my grandma said, i’m y/n. i do hope we cross paths alone in the future.”
he blushes from the way you shaked his hand, but also put your other hand on his. solidifying the handshake more than it needed too. not only that, the last comment you made. crossing paths.. alone?
“my confessional booth is always open before my sermon, and at 9 PM on sundays. if that’s what you mean of course.”
you puff your chest out and let out a dramatic sigh. taking in your arms, and letting them rest to your side, you open your mouth to speak. he stares at your lips, refusing to make eye contact.
“the sermon did end, i guess i’ll have to see you later tonight.” you assured him before walking over to your grandmother who made conversation with someone else. he watched you walk away, allowing himself to sneak a peek from behind.
later that day, geto was having lunch. he finds himself unable to focus on his best friend's story, the words going in one ear and out the other. all the plays in his mind is you, and what you could possibly up to.
“satoru, i think i was seduced today after my sermon.” he spilled out, no longer able to contain his thoughts.
“gross! how old was she? 50? 69? HA, get it? 69?”
geto rolls his eyes at the blue eyed ‘man’ who acted immaturely any chance he got. maybe he really should have kept his thoughts to himself. it was better than trying to converse it with an actual man-child.
“goodness satoru, no. she was a few years younger than me. 4 years to be exact. she’s one of the elder’s granddaughter, and the way she spoke to me made me feel like i was sinning. i didn’t even do anything!”
“well..”
his eyebrow quirks as satoru began his sentence.
“did she have big tits?”
geto’s face quickly turned from curiosity to disgust. he abruptly stood up from the table, placing both hands on it for support, and got all up in satoru’s face.
“how could you ever speak so unashamedly about a lady like that?! let alone speak like that in front of a priest!”
“well forgive me father, i didn’t mean to offend you and your girlfriend,” satoru said sarcastically while putting his hands up defensively. “i’ve said worse, and you’ve never had a problem with it until now. she must’ve had big tits for you to go all preacher mode on me.“
as much as geto didn’t want to admit it, satoru was right. there were many time's geto allowed the white haired man to say the most diabolical stuff known to man. even listening when satoru would describe women’s bodies in detail and occasionally his one night stands. why was this any different?
“excuse me, is that you father?”
there is was.
the seductive voice he met only hours ago. both boys slowly turn their heads to the h/c girl standing right in front of them. their eyes met with the beauty talked about earlier. only now you were wearing a shorter version of the dress you wore earlier.
“m-miss. y/n? i’m afraid you’ve caught me at a bad time. what brings you here?”
you only acknowledge one of the two men in front of her, and of course it was geto. your eyes met his, and never shifted away. it was almost like a dance of temptation, daring him to do further than just eye contact. the dark aura coming from you was overwhelming him, or maybe it was just your strong perfume.
“i apologize for the disruption, father geto. my grandma asked me to run some errands. i guess i’ll have to speak with you later tonight.“
before geto could get a word in, you once again walk off. just like before, he once again glances down there.
forgive me Lord, for i have sinned.
“dude what the fuck was that..” the white haired man questioned. he also noticed the thick tension that was stirred by non other than you.
“i d-don’t know. i cannot see her tonight. i’m scared she might tempt me into.. into doing something that’s against the scripture.”
he now finds himself in the confessional booth, anxiously waiting for your arrival. it was currently 9:47 PM, you were late. it did not help his anxiety at all. he’d give you until 10:15 for you to arrive. anything later would have to just be scheduled on another sunday.
he lets out a deep breath before he hears the clattering of heels. geto takes a peak out of his curtain only to be met with a sultry gaze. he quickly closes off his curtain, and subconsciously wipes his sweaty palms on his lap. this was like any other confessional, there was nothing to be conspicuous.
“father geto? are you there?“ you ask in a voice just above a whisper.
geto swallows whatever was in his mouth before speaking.
“of course i am.“
“ahem, forgive me father. i have sinned since i first moved into this town. actually, i sinned today after the sermon.“
he stays silent. he’s tempted to ask what you’ve done, and if it possibly had something to do with him. but you answer his unspoken questions before he can think about it for too long.
“before moving into this lovely town, my grandmother sent me a picture of her priest. goodness, i didn’t know what to do with myself.“
he was determined to stay stoic, and not to speak unless it was to say a prayer. but her hushed voice and the strong tension made it difficult. the air seemed to thicken every time she finished a sentence. geto couldn’t escape your magnetic pull of lust.
“a-and if i may ask, what did you do to deal with your problem?”
“i couldn’t resist myself. after i saw the photo of him, i began to have lewd thoughts. every night leading up to my departure, i’d touch myself thinking about him. then..”
she lets out a small moan, but geto would describe it as a small whine. now he was breathing heavily as his boxers started to tighten up. there was no way he could get hard in the church. it was sinful. but he was here to help you, and allowed you to continue.
“i met him today. after the sermon i started using objects to make myself feel satisfied. but it was nothing compared to his large hands shaking my hand. i can only imagine him using his hands going inside of me instead of holding a bible. even now, i cannot resist his voice..” you confessed as heavy breathing came from your end.
“..come over to my side dear. let me help you.” he whispered.
you waste no time he notes from the sounds coming from the other side. your heels clacked once or twice before you pulled the curtain from his side.
he studies your face very carefully. there was a light red tint spreading across your cheeks, and your ears were bright red. his eyes then wander down to your very revealing shirt that showed a lot of cleavage. the shirt was accompanied by a matching skirt, a very, VERY, short skirt.
you walk into the tight fitting booth. before he can get his hands on you, you kneel down in between his legs. your pretty little head lays on his left thigh.
“forgive me father. how can i ever make you forgive me for my sins?” you lift your head and your hands start to wander on the edge of his pants. “tell me father, there must be a way..”
geto feels a bead of sweat going down his forehead. there were many times that grandparents introduced their grandchildren to him, in hopes they get married. or, when satoru would convince him to agree to a blind date. his answer of rejection was always the same.
‘i am devoted to the man above, i musn’t be distracted.’
where was his reasoning of rejection when he watches you pull both his pants and undergarments off?
you grab his dick and painfully slowly lick the tip of it. leaving any pre-cum on his tip, now in your mouth. a slight moan leaves his mouth. this was a pleasure that he’s never experienced before. devoting all 24 years of his life to God has never brought this much fulfilment.
where was his reasoning of rejection when you put his whole dick in your mouth without any hesitation?
your sudden move of deep throating him caught him off guard. he’s now holding your head in a gentle manner, as gentle as he can be. geto is lost at words, he can only moan uncontrollably while playing with your hair. the only thing he can fixate his eyes on was your beautiful hair getting tangled into his fingers.
where was his reasoning when you made him finish in under five minutes even though it felt like an eternity for him?
you continue to suck him off, hollowing your cheeks for a better suction. your hands wander down to his balls, giving it a small massage. you're not sure what you did right, but it worked. geto was now praising your name instead of the lord’s. he feels an unfamiliar knot unwinding itself.
“y/n.. please i feel..” he lets out a breathy moan instead of finishing his sentence. his eyes shut close to full enjoy the euphoric feeling. why did he want to reject your advances in the first place? he can't seem to remember.
“father..” you cooed while taking off his shirt. of course, the hot pastor with a big dick was also very nicely built.
“oh geto, why do you hide this from me?”
your hands wander his chest then it starts to follow his happy trail. your movement was haltered when he reached out for your chest.
“the same could be said for yourself. show yourself to me, please. i beg.”
his eyes looked like a puppy who had been kicked. there was no sane woman in the world who would say no to his violet eyes. your hand then reaches out for his, and then place his hand on the hem of your shirt.
“take it off for me, father geto.”
being enchanted with your hypnotic gaze, it drew him like a moth to a flame. he lifted your shirt, taking your bra off as well, and stared with admiration. you had an art of seduction that was compared to no other. he watches you sit on his lap as you lift your skirt.
this is sin. he was sinning.
but he didn’t stop you as you sat slowly onto his dick, moaning in joy. he watches you go up and down painfully slow.
“c-can you go a little faster..?“ he moaned into your ear. being too embarrassed by his request, he buries himself on the side of your neck. taking in your scent, leaving small pecks on the spots you sprayed perfume.
“you’re t-too big geto~” you whined into his ear before you attached your lips onto his.
he was an inexperienced kisser. an inexperienced everything actually. it was easy for you to take the lead by biting onto his bottom lip. he opened his mouth to let out a small whine of pain and you took the opportunity to slip your tongue in.
you feel yourself juices slide down your thigh onto geto’s lap as you continue to bounce on his dick. large hands start groping your ass, giving you a smack on one of your cheeks. you yelp in response. it was unexpected from a priest.
“father, use me. be as rough as you want with me.” your hands start undoing his bun, turning his hair into a disheveled mess.
“i-i shouldn't be so mmm- rough on you.”
you felt honored by his insistence on being so gentle. his grip on your waist tells you a different story. it was obvious he wanted to go faster than the pace you set.
“please geto, for me at least.”
oh, how could he ever deny your requests?
his grip on your waist tightens as he lifts you up and rams into you. all pent up sexual frustrations he’s ever had in the past 24 years are being taken out on you. throughout the heavens and earth, you were his only sole purpose in life. the way you took him in so good without any complaints was proof enough.
marks form on his shoulder and back from the scratches you were leaving. it was the only way you could hold yourself up. if not, you’d fall right into his arms while he’d continue to show no mercy on your pussy.
geto was starting to feel what he felt earlier when you were in between his legs. his eyes gaze at yours, and gets a site he’d never unsee. small tears started forming, threatening to leave your eyes. your mouth agape as one hand held onto his shoulder, the other groping yourself.
“father geto, i-i’m ahh, i’m so close~”
on sync, the both of you came at the very same time.
geto found it more ironic than disgust when he saw the scene unfold. priest of six years, never had a temptation once in those six years. his lap was now covered in cum from not only his but the new girl in town. the new girl who easily seduced him
“forgive us lord, for the father and i have sinned.” you purred right into his ear, almost biting it.
he massages your waist before finally putting you on your two feet. you're barely able to stand up without the support of the wall.
"y/n, we can never do this again. never speak to me unless it's about my sermon."
now it was his turn to leave before you could get a word in. he pulls his pants up and swiftly puts his shirt back on.
"you were sent by the devil, and i've failed my lord. stay far away from me you whore."

hey since new sunday leaks pretty much confirms he’s going to join the astral express, i have a few (re: a lot of) things to say.
to start off, i honestly loved the idea of stellaron hunter sunday, but it just never sat right with me in a way? e.g. wouldn’t it be more fitting if he joined the astral express? that would grant him the freedom he longs for. unlike the stellaron hunters, who are bound by elio’s script and lack true "freedom," it’s somewhat ironic for sunday.
the trapped charmony dove mentioned throughout penacony is a representation of sunday, so it's not a far fetch to assume sunday’s future character development will have a lot to do about metaphorical rebirth —which is a prominent theme in the astral express. (more on this later)
secondly, it is believed that elio invited sunday/predicted that sunday will join, and he has no choice but to do so. but that’s not all true.
e.g in kafka’s story quest you can choose to help or reject her. if you chose not to help, it’s mentioned that elio foresaw a possibility that you rejected her —and in this case you made that possibility, a reality.
elio might’ve invited sunday to join the stellaron hunters, but sunday doesn’t have to accept the offer; he can choose to make “not joining” a reality as well.
now for the astral express, the guiding principle is “letting go of your past, and taking control of your own life.” therefore, it’s reasonable to conclude that rebirth is prevalent in express members. relating this to sunday:
he also has mentions of rebirth, which aligns with the express.
moreover, jade’s lightcone: “yet hope is priceless”
despite her role as a debt collector, she demonstrates mercy by not putting a price on kindness and hope. this could suggest that at the end of penacony 2.3, she offers sunday hope and freedom without attaching a cost (ipc’s compromise) to it, allowing him to choose his own path now that he’s free and no longer confined —the beginning of his rebirth.
“so why does life slumber?”
the puppets in penacony grand theatre symbolise different stages in sunday’s life, but we are focusing on the final one.
the “unknown puzzle” may be referencing the main question asked in penacony —why does life slumber?
sunday has ultimately reached an answer (by trailblazer) to this question, that being by giving it a new meaning, as mentioned in his lc.
i'm guessing his “new life” involves discovering the answer to this question, and perhaps joining the express will provide the new meaning he’s seeking.
“if you are born weak, which god should you turn to for solace?” (absolutely banger line by the way) sunday cannot accept that the weak can manage on their own; those who are weak must seek guidance or comfort from a higher power to alleviate their perceived weakness.
so in the future, i hope when sunday joins the express, he will learn that even the weak can find strength, and that he will come to value their resolve.
oh wow you read allat, here’s a reward.

Friday, March 21st, 1986
In between your afternoon classes, you diverge from the hallways to the outside courtyards for a cigarette. Greeted by the sight of two of your younger friends sitting by the payphone. Reading their demeanor and tone of voice, it’s easy to tell they’ve gotten nowhere on the mission Eddie gave them.
“No luck?” you ask, coming to stand beside them.
“No” Dustin sighs, hanging his head.
“It’s hopeless. I mean, why can’t they just reschedule the ball game?!” Mike whines, hands thrown out in frustration. You scoff out a laugh with a shake of your head.
“Oh, come on. Far more people, including the school board, are involved in the scheduling and financing of our school sports. You think they’re going to reschedule for our little DnD club?”
Mike knows you’re right, but he can’t shake it off.
“Well then why can’t Lucas just skip? He’s been sitting on the bench this whole season anyway! I mean, he’s putting that stupid game before us!”
You take a seat on the bench next to them with a sigh, drawing another drag from your cigarette.
“Lucas… is on his own path right now. He’s doing what he thinks is right for him. Whether we agree with it or not, he’s gotta figure it out for himself.”
They take your words in silence, struggling with the helpless feeling of the reality of it all.
“Still, we’ve had no luck finding a sub. We’ve tried every clique and club. I tried asking Max.”
“I even tried asking Nancy!”
“Nancy? I respect the effort, but you didn’t actually think she’d do it?”
“No, but I had to try!”
You and the boys sit in silence, as they hang their heads, your eyes roam around your surroundings. Students mulling about between classes.
“You know, I think you’ll find the perfect sub if you look just a tad bit farther.”
You give them a smirk when they turn to you, a soft nod of your head in the direction of Hawkins Middle School only a yard away.
Their eyes follow the direction before turning to each other.
“Holy shit, you’re a genius!” Dustin exhales, jumping from his seat and wasting no time in beginning the short run across the parking lot with Mike in tow.
“You can thank me later” you mutter with a smile, taking the last drag of your cigarette.
“This is Hellfire club, not babysitting club.”
“I’m 11, you long-haired freak”
“My, my. The child speaks. So, what’s your name, child?” Eddie pushes, rising from his throne to approach her.
“Erica Sinclair” she declares unwaveringly.
“So this is Sinclair’s infamous sister.” Eddie remarks in amusement.
“He’s sharp.”
You watch with your arms crossed, enjoying the back and forth. Looking at Erica in admiration and pride, always so confident in herself. When Eddie gives a look to quiet the older members laughter, your expression doesn’t waver, biting your bottom lip to stifle your grin as you watch how it all unfolds.
“What’s your class and level? Level one dwarf?”
“My name is Lady Applejack. And I’m a chaotic-good half-elf rogue level 14 and I will sneak behind any monster you throw my way and stab them in the back with my poison-soaked kukri and I’ll smile as I watch them die a slow, agonizing death. So, we gonna do this, or are we gonna keep chit-chatting like this is your mommy’s book club?”
Eddie slowly backs away from her in surprise, though keeping a stone straight face. You have to keep yourself from breaking out into applause right before his head slowly tilts your way, surveying you with narrowed eyes.
“Let me guess. You babysat this one too, hmm?”
“She already had the fire in her, just helped teach her how to wield it. That’s all.” You offer with a nonchalant shrug, grin becoming harder to bite back.
You watch the smirk slowly spread across his lips before he turns it toward Erica, finally extending his hand to her in truce.
“Welcome to Hellfire”
As you expected, Erica turns out to be a great sub, securing Vecna’s defeat in an electric campaign. You’re all smiles, hooping and hollering as you meander down the halls, trailing behind the rest of the club with Eddie. Your cheers soon blend in with that of the other student’s departing from the basketball game as you enter the parking lot. A win for the Hawkins Tigers as well, you can only assume.
You spot the basketball team rallied around each other across the parking lot, catching onto one particular face as he looks among your club with an expression you clock right away.
“Hey, give me a minute. I’ll catch up, alright?” You quickly tell your boyfriend when Lucas’s eyes land on you.
“Alright, hurry up.” Eddie offers you a sweet smile and a peck on your lips before joining the rest of the club.
You gesture your head toward a vehicle close by, blocking the view from the rest of the team.
Lucas manages to slip away without any of them seeing you.
“I take it you guys won?” you ask excitedly, trying to pull a smile out of his down wrought expression.
“Yeah, finally got pulled from the bench. I made the winning shot.” He answers with a half smile.
“Lucas! That’s great, man. Congratulations!” Your enthusiasm and smile is genuine, pulling a bashful one from him before his eyes waver toward the club, his little sister among them.
“I take it you guys won too.” he remarks, smile faltering. You don’t need to turn around to see where he’s looking.
“Hey. I’m sorry none of us were able to be there to watch you. I wish I’d of seen it, I really do. But you know how Eddie is, it’d take an earthquake for him to cancel Hellfire. Shit, he’d probably still have it even then.”
“Yeah, I get it.” His eyes fall to look down at his shoes, sadness seeping into his voice.
“Lucas. I understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it. I do. Even if it means associating yourself with the people that bully us.” Your gaze flickers over to the group of jocks as his head hangs. You pull his attention to look back at you with a gentle squeeze of his arm.
“Hey. We care about you, and we’re always gonna be your friends. You’ve gotta do what you think is right for you. Just… don’t forget who you are in the process, alright?” You plead to him with your eyes, hoping he understands you.
“Yeah, alright.” Lucas nods, offering a weak smile of acknowledgement.
“Now go on, go celebrate with your team. And please, make smart decisions.”
“Alright. Thanks, Y/N.” You pull a real laugh from him, watching as he waves bye before going to rejoin his team who welcome him back with cheers and open arms.
You let yourself observe for a few seconds before you go searching for your own group. Soon finding your boyfriend waiting at the van.
“Come on, pretty girl. We’ve got a whole van load of people to drop off.” He remarks with an unamused expression.
You climb in, laughing as you see all 6 of the other members piled into the back.
“How the hell did I get roped into this again?” He questions you after climbing into the driver's seat with keys in hand, the excited chatter of the club quickly overtaking the confined metal box on wheels.
“Oh I don’t know, because you’re an oh-so generous Dungeon Master and friend?” you sweet talk him with a flutter of your eyelashes and a squeeze of his jean-clad thigh. His eyes follow your hand before looking back up to you with a raised brow.
“Let’s uh, get them home as quick as possible, yeah?” He determines with a quick glance to the back of the van, hastily inserting the keys and starting the ignition. Your giggles join the sound of the squealing tires and club members' mingling as he burns rubber leaving the parking lot.
Eddie was already planning to spend all night with you in his bedroom ahead of your plans to depart with your mom in the morning for a weekend college visit. His plans are now only solidified by your teasing nature that you take far too much pleasure in.
The club members are left at the end of their driveways with a parting cloud of dust.
Barely an hour after departing Hawkins High, Eddie has you stripped and spread open in his bed.
His bare chest is pressed against your side as his tongue swirls with yours and his hand slides between your legs, fingers teasing your clit. Switching the amount of pressure his fingers apply on your sensitive bud, from calloused pads barely ghosting over your clit to applying full pressure, just to tease you. Getting you closer and closer to the edge before pulling back, chuckling in the way your body chases the pleasure, pushing your pussy against his hands for the friction.
“Eddieeeeee, stop being mean”
“I’m not being mean, sweetheart. Just love the way you whine for me when I tease you.”
He gives in to you, no longer teasing as his finger circles your clit just the way you like it. Making you purr for him, moaning into his mouth. One of your hands is lost in his hair as the other grips his bicep. Your leg hoisted over his, keeping you spread open to his liking, full access to play with you as he pleases.
He groans as his fingers dip down to slide into your soaking wet pussy, thumb taking the place to rub circles into your clit.
“Can’t believe you’re gonna deprive me of this sweet pussy for two days… now that’s mean” He mumbles against your lips.
You can only respond in the form of pathetic whimpers, he turns you into mush and he knows it, loves it, craves it. You deepen the kiss as your walls flutter around his thick fingers slowly sliding in and out of you. His fingers slide over a particularly sensitive spot, pulling a high-pitched moan from your lips, your pussy tightening around his fingers.
“Mmm, is that your spot, baby?” His fingers rub over it again, pulling another moan from you. “That feel good?” he practically moans, watching your face twist up in pleasure from his touch.
Your head nods fervently, your grip on his arm tightening.
“Fuck, yes. Right there, baby.” you manage to get out through gasps, letting your head fall back as the pleasure courses through your body, a pressure building in your core.
Eddie quickens the speed of his fingers thrusting in and out, pushing up against the spongy spot at the top of your walls. A trail of wet, open mouth kisses are dotted all over your neck and chest as your breaths quicken with the unrelenting pace and pressure of his fingers.
“Fuck Eddie, feel like I’ve gotta pee” you whine out, feeling the build up of pressure in your core like it’s about to burst.
“S’okay, baby. Don’t hold back, just let go. I’ve got you.” he pants against your ear.
Every muscle in your body begins to tighten, your thighs shaking as you reach your breaking point. With your eyes squeezed shut, all you can hear over your moans and panting is a gushing wet sound mixing with the thrusts of Eddie’s fingers.
“Holy shit” the muffled sound of his voice breaks through the ringing in your ears as you ride out your high. “Fuck, you just squirted for me. So fucking hot.”
His mouth is back on yours in a heated kiss. When your lips part, you look down to see the evidence of your newly found ‘skill’. A wet spot on his sheets right between your legs.
“Shit, Eds. I’m sorry”
“Sorry? For what?” He asks incredulously.
“For staining your sheets” You say with a light laugh, nodding your head to the big wet spot below you. His eyes follow yours to the stain before looking back to you with a big grin,
“What do you say we make some more, huh?” A soft kiss, sucking your bottom lip between his. “Think you can do that again for me, baby?”
He doesn’t need an answer before he’s moving from your side to between your legs, hovering over you.
“I didn’t even know I could do it in the first place.” A heavy sigh parts from your lips with a laugh, finally catching your breath before your boyfriend sets on stealing it away from you again.
He kisses you for a few moments, letting his stiff cock rub against your pussy, covered in your slick and juices, amping him up even more. His hard, thick cock sliding inside you with no resistance, making his eyes roll back at the feeling. The feeling of your perfect pussy, and how wet it gets just for him.
His hands hook under the back of your knees, holding them back as far as he can. The force lifting your ass off the damp sheets beneath you. The position helps his cock get closer to lining up against your sensitive spot. He doesn’t waste time taking it slow, he knows he doesn’t need to.
Your pussy already soaking for him, he starts his thrusts hard and deep. Watching your puffy lips wrap around him, sucking him in. The squeals of pleasure falling from your lips each time his hips connect with yours.
The feeling of him inside you, the way his cock stretches you no matter how wet you are is enough to drive you crazy, turn you into a moaning mess beneath him. The position does help for his cock to just barely nudge against your g-spot with each thrust, but it’s not enough and he knows it.
In a second he’s snatching a pillow and moving your ankles to his shoulders.
“Lift your ass up for me”
You use his shoulders for leverage as he shoves the pillow under your ass before his hands are holding your legs back again. Leaning down to give you soft, sweet kisses while his cock is stuffing you so deep his tip nudges against your cervix. Before you can grasp onto him he’s leaning back again, picking up where he left off.
The added pillow was the perfect touch, making your toes curl with each thrust of his cock that rubs against your spot just right. You grip onto the only thing you can, the sheets underneath you while he aligns the direction of his thrusts with your moans, finding the perfect angle and rhythm to send you unraveling beneath him in mere minutes.
“Gonna make you feel so good, baby” he moans, feeling you tighten around him with each bump of his cock against your spongy spot. The familiar sensation, pressure in your core begins to build again.
One hand leaves the back of your knee to gently push down on your mound, adding to the pressure building in your core, making sure his cock hits your g-spot with each thrust, his thumb reaching down to rub your swollen clit.
“Fuuuck, Eddie! Oh my god!” You nearly scream out, the pleasure taking over your body is overwhelming, it’s intense, and feels so fucking good.
You can feel tears falling out of the corner of your eyes and landing on the sheets below you, the squeaking and scraping of the bed frame against the floor.
“That’s it, baby. Give me what I want. Squirt all over my cock for me” He sputters through moans and pants, taking everything in him to hold back his own orgasm till he gives you your second.
He knows just what you need, just what to say, that final push to send you plummeting over the edge. You yell out as you fall into your second orgasm of the night, taking over all your senses. Your free leg tightening around his back, your walls tightening around his cock, everything in your body tightens as your orgasm rocks through you. It’s the hardest you’ve ever cum in your life.
As soon as Eddie feels your wetness gushing around his cock, he immediately falters. Holding himself deep inside you as he groans out while his cum fills you up. A sensation you’ve quickly grown to love and crave from him.
His body relaxes onto yours, your hands embracing each other.
“Jesus Christ, Eds!” You groan out between attempts to catch your breath.
“You did so good for me, sweetheart” He mutters against your ear, making you involuntarily clench around his sensitive cock. He lets out a soft hiss, pulling himself out from inside you with a chuckle. “I wonder how many more times I can make you do that…”
“Oh my god, you’re trying to kill me” you whine out before joining in with his laughter.
“Just like making you feel good, making you cum for me.” His lips trail up your jawline. “I’ll let you rest for the night, but I won’t be satisfied until this bed is covered in your stains.”
“You’re a very depraved man” you chuckle, playfully slapping his arm before his lips meet yours again.
Staying tangled in his embrace for the remainder of the night, through your slumber and until the morning comes.
With a parting kiss… or two, lingering hands on your sides that don’t leave until you move from his grasp, you depart from Eddie in the early hours of Saturday morning. He watches from the porch like a sad puppy as you walk to your trailer and depart with your mother in her station wagon for a weekend trip to visit Ohio State University.
A subtle seed of doubt is planted in that moment.
The drive to Columbus, Ohio is far from the worst, only a fraction of the drive to Virginia. You occupy your thoughts and attention to the unfamiliar route, passing towns, cities and landmarks you’ve never seen, small talk with your mother, and singing along to the songs on the radio carrying you along on your journey.
Your visit at the college isn’t bad either, by all accounts it goes rather well. A vast campus with classic architecture in a big, new city. You’re impressed by the academics, the sense of community, and the countless opportunities offered in the state’s capital. It’s clear the university holds promise for you and your future, but as you roam the campus you can’t rid yourself of the emptiness that comes with the prospect of attending there.
4 hours away from your home, from your friends, from Eddie. 4 hours of distance is nothing compared to the 11 that previously separated you, it’s true. Still, the idea of parting ways again so soon after finally getting to the point in your relationship with Eddie that all these years have been building to, years of yearning and heartbreak… it’s not an idea you’re ready to accept.
You feel every minute of the 4 hour drive back to Hawkins. Every minute of distance that would be between you and your life at home as you know it. It doesn’t warm you up to the idea anymore than when you were at the campus.
Neither does the sight of your loving boyfriend and best friend, waiting on his porch with a cigarette for your arrival.
Wrapping your body in his strong, warm arms and your lips with his, softly rocking you side to side in the embrace.
“Miss me?” you tease, looking up into his chocolate eyes.
“Every second you were gone, baby.” He mutters in a husky tone, meeting your lips again for a long, sweet kiss. Whisking you away into Wayne’s trailer, intent on not letting you step foot outside it again for the remainder of the day.
Having the whole week off for Spring Break opens up an abundance of free time, and you don’t know any better way to spend it than with your boyfriend and group of friends. On your days off from work, you’re free to get lost in any adventure imaginable, no matter if it was spending your Monday at Dustin’s with your friends playing his Atari all day, going to the movies and shopping with Steve and Robin on Wednesday, or a day at the lake on Friday. It’s a small taste of what’s to come for summer, freed from the confines of school. The last truly ‘free’ summer you’ll have before adulthood and all that comes with it.
Friday, March 28th, 1986
What was meant to be a fun, relaxing afternoon with your friends at Lover’s Lake is off to a rocky start. Rather than take the road you and Eddie had taken before that leads right to the waterfront, Steve listened to Dustin’s insistence on parking at the entrance that many hunters in the area used, a mile of trails between your cars and the lake.
No big deal, nothing wrong with a little hike. That is until the two leading the group, Dustin and Steve, begin bickering over the location of Skull Rock.
“Dude, I’m telling you you’re taking us the wrong way.”
“It’s north, I’m positive!” Dustin asserts, flashing Steve his compass.
“You do realize Skull Rock is like a super popular makeout spot.”
“Yeah, so?”
“Yeah, well it wasn’t popular until I made it popular. I practically invented it, you’re going in the wrong direction.”
“Yeah Dusty, don’t you know Steve is the ladies man of Hawkins? You think he wouldn’t know where Skull Rock is?” You tease, Eddie and you trailing behind them.
“Yeah, and he’s right. You’re definitely going in the wrong direction.” Eddie asserts, earning a
“Thank you!” from Steve.
You spare a side-ways glance to Eddie with a cocked brow.
“And what would you know about the most popular make-out spot in town?” You question.
“I’ve been there for the occasional deal, that’s all” He declares with his arms raised. “I promise, lovebug.” He finishes, wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
“Ugh, no. Not that one.” You laugh despite your face scrunching up.
“You know, no matter how much you say you don’t like one, it still puts a blush on those cute, chubby cheeks.” He asserts while leaning closer to your ear, his hand reaching up to pinch your round cheeks. You quickly swat it away.
“I’m going to fuck you up, Munson.” you threaten, all talk and no bite. Smile still plastered on your face.
“Oh that’s alright, darling. I’ll find one you like eventually.”
You roll your eyes, playfully nudging his side as you divert from the path Dustin was leading to follow Steve.
It’s a little game Eddie’s been playing the last few days, trying out different pet names on you to find one that sticks, one that feels right. It’s his own new loving way of teasing you, reveling in the reactions he gets out of you and how flustered the names make you.
“Oh Boom! Bada Bing Bada Boom! There she is, Henderson! Skull Rock in your face, man. Your stupid, cocky, little face.” Steve exclaims, opening the clearing of tree branches to reveal none other than Skull Rock.
“Alright, easy tiger.” You chuckle, patting Steve on the shoulder as you pass him to survey the famous sight.
“You knowwww” Eddie begins, creeping up next to you. “We can make this our new spot, honey bunny.”
You can’t help but laugh, shaking your head before meeting his eyes.
“Honey bunny, huh?”
“Oh, yeah. It’s perfect for you. Honey, cause you’re so sweet” His hip bumps yours. “And bunny…well, cause of the way you ride m-” Your hand flies up to cover his mouth, but you can still see the shit-eating grin underneath.
“Not in front of the children, Edward.” You teasingly scold him, wide-eyed. Removing your hand when a quick look around shows the others in their own conversations, Steve and Dustin still arguing.
“Oh yeah, that’s the one.” He smirks, holding your hips before placing his lips on yours.
“Ahem. I know I said this is a makeout spot but uh- you don’t have to take it literally.” Steve chimes in from behind Eddie, who instantly flips him the bird.
“Don’t gotta be jealous, Stevie.” Eddie teases when your lips part, turning to face Steve with a cheeky smile.
“I’m not jealous” Steve scoffs, arms crossed against his chest.
“Alright, alright. We’ve seen Skull Rock, now can we actually get to where we came here for?” You ask, stepping around Eddie to face Steve.
With that, your group is back off into the woods. Dustin and Steve lead the pack again, still arguing about Skull Rock as you head in the direction of the lake.
Upon reaching the water, you have the whole afternoon to spare. You and Robin sit on the pier, dipping your toes in and gossiping about your lives. You listen to her ramble about her crush that she can’t do anything about, being a supportive, understanding friend. Watching Steve, Eddie, Dustin, Lucas throw around a football on the shore line. You, Robin, and Max walk along the water searching for cool looking rocks to take back home with you.
“Man, we should’ve brought our bathing suits” Steve remarks, hands on his hips as he looks out at the soft waves on the lake.
“Shit, we could still strip down to our underwear and hop in” Eddie looks at you when you scoff. “Oh come on, honey bunny. Why don’t you hop in?” He flashes a bright smile at you as you give him an amused look, arms crossed.
“Yeah right, that water is freezing. I’d like to see you do it first.”
“I’m sure you would” he replies smugly with a wink, earning a light-hearted eye roll.
“Should’ve brought some fishing rods too.” Lucas adds.
“Shit, I don’t think I’ve ever been fishing before.”
“Well hell, kid. You don’t need fishing rods to catch a fish.”
You all watch in curiosity as Eddie grabs a sturdy, fallen stick and whips out his pocket knife, sharpening one end of the stick until it’s sharp and pointy.
“A spear… you’re going to catch fish with a spear?” Dustin questions with zero faith in his dungeon master.
“Worked for the cavemen” Eddie shrugs, taking off his shoes and socks, rolling up his jeans before he begins wading off into the water.
It’s dead quiet as you all watch him, intently staring down at the water with spear in hand, ready to strike in a split second. When he does, none of you expect the fish that he pulls out of the water at the end of it. He looks back to you all with a self-satisfied smirk.
“Looks like we’re having fish for dinner, sweet cheeks.”
“Oh, there’s no way in hell.” Steve quips in disbelief, rising to his feet.
“You’ve gotta teach me how to do that!” Dustin mutters in bewilderment.
Soon, Eddie’s fashioned spears for all of you. Knee deep in the lake searching for fish to catch. Light laughter and mutterings of profanities floating across the water.
While half of you aren’t lucky enough to imitate Eddie’s catch, Steve and Max end up catching fish of their own.
You spend the last hour of sunlight making a small fire to cook the three fish you caught, half of you watching in disgust, the other half watching in interest as Eddie cleans them.
“I didn’t take you for a fisherman, Eddie” Robin comments in surprise, watching his effortless movements.
“Well, my Dad and Wayne have done their fair share of fishing trips, some of which I was dragged along to.”
You sit in a circle around the dying fire, eating your fish and watching as the sunset paints a cascade of colors in the sky, reflecting along the water.
When darkness falls around you, the group makes the trek back through the wooded trails with flashlights in hand, laughing as Eddie tries to spook the younger kids, making up ghost stories about the surrounding woods.
A quiet sigh of relief falls among the group as Eddie’s van and Steve’s BMW finally come into view.
“So, you guys excited for your trip to Indy tomorrow?” Steve asks, fishing the keys out of his pockets.
“Wait, you guys are going up to Indy?” Dustin nearly stops in his tracks.
“Yeah, bright and early. I’ve got a college visit up at Indiana University.”
“Mhmm, we’re gonna do some exploring, go to some record shops, make a whole day of it.” Eddie shares as he stands behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you against him, chin resting on your shoulder.
“Shit, can I come too? Heard there’s this really cool, big comic book store up there!”
“I don’t know, Dusty. I don’t think your mom would be crazy about the idea.” You say regretfully, face twisting in uncertainty.
“Are you kidding, my mom loves you!”
“Yeah, she hasn’t seen Eddie’s driving though.”
“Excuse me, we always get where we’re going in one piece.”
You laugh, playfully nudging him with your elbow when his fingers tickle your sides before you bring your attention back to Dustin.
“Ugh. I don’t know, maybe next time okay?”
His head hangs with a small nod.
“Okay…”
“Oh god. Don’t guilt trip me, Henderson!” You plead, feeling the regret already seeping in.
“No no, it’s okay.” He sighs. “Guess I’ll just spend my day at Family Video harassing Steve.”
“Ha yeah, we’ll see how well that works out for you.” Steve scoffs.
You part from your friends with a hug and wishes for a safe trip for the two of you before climbing into the van with Max in tow to head home to the trailer park.
Another night falling asleep in Eddie’s arms, filled with excitement for a full day of adventure planned for just the two of you.
Saturday, March 29th, 1986
The ringing of Eddie’s alarm clock comes far too soon, waking you both from your peaceful slumber with groans and yawns.
“Just 5 more minutes..” Eddie mumbles as he buries his face in your neck. You giggle, running your fingers through his hair.
“5 more minutes turns into us being late, love.”
As you part from his grasp to look for your change of clothes, he releases a pitiful ‘Hmph’ before joining you to scuffle around his room, looking for any decent clean clothes he has.
Shortly after as the sun rises in the morning sky, you load into Eddie’s van to begin the hour and a half drive up to Indianapolis. Rubbing the sleep from your eyes, blasting the radio, and singing along to Keep on Loving You by REO Speedwagon as you pull onto the main highway.
Once you’ve gone a fair distance, your head rolls against the headrest to look at Eddie.
“I’m gonna need some caffeine soon, babe.”
As soon as his head turns to meet yours he releases a big yawn, shaking his head with a laugh.
“Shit, me too.” His eyes search for exit signs on the side of the highway. “There’s a McDonald’s at the next exit, we can get some breakfast?”
As his head turns to look at you, he catches movement in the back of the van in his peripheral.
“Oooh some hash browns sound good!” Dustin’s head pops up between you from his previous position laying in the back of the van.
Both of you nearly jump out of your seat, screaming at the unexpected third voice joining you in the van.
“Jesus H. Christ!” Eddie yells, white knuckling the steering wheel as he jerks the van back into the lane, beginning to veer off toward the ditch on the side of the road from the distraction.
“What the fuck, Henderson?!” you exclaim, looking back at him in disbelief as he only meets you with a wide, toothy grin.
“What? I decided to take matters into my own hands! Have you ever known me to take ‘no’ for an answer, hmm?”
“Yeah and you almost just got us killed!” Eddie argues, taking deep inhales through his nostrils to calm himself.
“Well, maybe you should’ve been paying better attention to the road rather than ogling your girlfriend.” Dustin retorts with his signature cocky tone.
You see Eddie bite his lower lip, taking everything in him to not flip out. Your hand reaches to squeeze his thigh, letting him focus on the road before turning back to Dustin.
“How did you even get in here?”
“Well, someone leaves his van unlocked at night. I biked over at the crack of dawn, hid my bike behind the trailer and climbed in through the back.”
Eddie’s eyes meet yours, shaking your heads in disbelief. You can’t help but laugh.
“And Steve says he’s always the babysitter…” You mutter with a sigh, looking out the window as Eddie takes an exit ramp.
“Hey, I’m not a child!”
“No, but you are a minor that I am now responsible for watching over in a big city!”
“Okay, look. I promise, I will be on my best behavior. I’ll be right by your side the whole time!”
“Oh, I feel so much better now!” Eddie announces sarcastically. You smirk at him before rubbing a hand over your face exasperatedly.
“So… about those hash browns”
Your moods eventually lighten with the greasy fast food breakfast, caffeine, and the dwindling miles separating you from your destination.
Eddie’s fingers stay firmly entwined with yours throughout the campus tour, walking the pathways and exploring the buildings. A mere mile from the heart of the city, its tallest buildings are visible from nearly any spot at the college.
You’re not sure if it’s merely the effect of having Eddie and Dustin with you as you explore one of your prospective colleges or your faint familiarity with the city you’ve visited on occasion, but you find yourself at total ease. Effortlessly imagining yourself attending there, walking down the street to explore shops after classes, making the manageable drive back to Hawkins on weekends to visit your loved ones.
You don’t want to be rash and get your hopes up considering you haven’t gotten any acceptances yet, but it feels good here.
As promised, after your tour is done and the campus efficiently explored, the 3 of you make a day out of exploring the rest of Indianapolis.
Stopping at a cute little coffee and bakery shop, eying the multitude of fashion stores that line the streets. Finally finding the comic book store Dustin had mentioned, far bigger than you ever imagined and spending over an hour inside browsing the comics and action figures. You’d even found new figurines and dice for DnD that Eddie quickly scooped up, excited for another little project of painting the new figurines for the next Hellfire campaigns.
Then, to the part you and Eddie were looking forward to the most, visiting the biggest music store in Indianapolis that just so happened to have a Guitar Center right next door. Perusing the aisles of vinyl records and cassette tapes, snatching up Ozzy Osbourne’s new The Ultimate Sin album as soon as you see it, after weeks of waiting for it to arrive at Hawkins’ stores. You and Eddie even found merch for Metallica’s new Master of Puppets album, both eagerly grabbing a new t-shirt. Dustin finding yet another Weird Al shirt to add to his collection.
Next, you marvel at the shiny, brand new guitars lining the walls of Guitar Center. Setting your sights and hearts on the next ones to be added to your collection. You and Dustin watch as Eddie tests one out, smiling widely and headbanging along as he plays Master of Puppets, a song you’ve witnessed him spend the last few weeks trying to perfect.
Though you end up leaving the guitar store empty handed, both you and Eddie leave with the image of your next guitar seared into your minds, the next thing you save up your money for.
With sore feet, all your objectives crossed off and the sun setting, the three of you climb back into Eddie’s van to head home. As soon as the van merges back on the highway, you slide your new Ozzy tape into Eddie’s radio, providing the soundtrack to your drive home. You all nod along and headbang to each passing song.
The last song, A Shot in the Dark begins to play and immediately pulls you in.
But a shot in the dark
One step away from you
Just a shot in the dark
Always creeping up on you, alright
The words of the chorus linger in your mind as Ozzy’s voice carries into the next verse. You know it doesn’t reflect the real meaning of the lyrics by the musicians, but as you mull them over you can’t help but think about your relationship with Eddie. What it took to get to where you are now, the time and feelings, the risk.
The risk it took for Eddie to pick you up and take you to the lake that night, hoping he’d get you to open up to him. The risk it took for you to finally lay it all out, your feelings and love for him. Neither of you knowing where it would go, if the risk would be worth it. It was a shot in the dark.
One step away from you. That’s how it truly felt before that night.
You and Eddie had always been so close, but your hidden feelings were lodged right in the middle. A dark, looming bubble of words and feelings left unsaid wedged between you, keeping you apart.
One step away.
A bubble that needed to be burst, popped to get to where you are now.
Your eyes trail from the road to your boyfriend next to you, nodding along the music.
The happiest, and closest you’ve ever been.
That whole time, one step was all it was keeping you from what you both always wanted.
One step, a shot in the dark you’re so glad you both took that night.
When the chorus comes back around, you sing along as your hand reaches out for his. He turns to you with that loving smile, fingers wrapping around yours and resting on the middle console between you.

A theory about Maia and Onin
Reading through J&D TPL's design bible, I realized that Onin and Maia have one thing in common: they can both predict the future and can hear and interpret prophecies.
The description about Maia in TPL design bible says Maia was able to predict the future and shout prophecies with a voice that was not her own. In addition, Maia is said to have used a "dark socery" and it is even hinted that she was so powerful that she created an army of enemies (it may refer to her creating the Lurkers or at least experimenting with them to mutate them in different ways). Onin is also renowned in Haven City as a true sort of fortune teller and sorceress. The two are the only human characters who have these powers so strange and uniques.
But why do they have these powers? Why does Onin know so much about the Precursors? And why was Maia going into a trance and speaking in a voice that was not her own? Why did Maia and Gol wanted to experiment with dark eco?
Here we go, theory time!
I believe that Maia and Onin are people "chosen" from birth, just like Jak, to fulfill a role that guides Jak to be the hero he is today. But Onin and Maia had an opposite role. One was chosen by the Precursors, and the other by the Dark Makers.
Onin was born blind and mute, therefore, the Precursors spoke to her and gave her a gift of light eco, so that she used her gift for good, and was, like Samos and Damas, a key person to guide Jak on the good path of his hero journey. Meanwhile, the voice Maia heard was not the voice of dark creatures who used to be Precursors: the Dark Makers, who tempted her and Gol to the dark side. On the one hand, this would cause the future, Jak and Daxter to have to embark on their path as heroes and become stronger, but it would also be what would trigger Jak and Daxter to find the Rift Gate and with it the metalheads could reach their world, destroy, conquer, and later the Darkmakers might also come to that world and destroy it.
However, it's true Onin came to do things that can be considered not very good, since it was she who told Erol that Jak was "special" and that is why the KG took him to prison, but we need to remember that the Precursors are gods who play with people as game board pieces, So Onin knew that Jak needed to go to prison to gain the power of the dark eco to defeat Kor, in the same way Samos also knew it was necesary Jak needed to go to the past and later go to the future.
And in certain way, Samos also is a opposite parallel to Gol, both being sages with an important role in Jak's journey. In both cases, we have a sage and a sorceress.
It was necesary that also Jak had people in both sides of that coin that helped him to become in the hero Mar. Since he achieved both eco powers: light and dark. That's whay the Symbol of Mar represents: the balance.
//extra side note: I also have some headcanons (for fanfics that I never couldn't finished and I hope I can back to write them some day) about Onin being a long lost member of the House of Mar (a Damas's great-aunt or something like that), and that was why she knew so many things about the tomb of Mar, and Jak's mother being a distant relative descendant of the Acheron clan -not directly of the evil twins, of course, I mean descendant about other non-mentioned members of Acheron family. Being those things even here more representative and symbolic to Jak's light/dark sides, but I'll talk more about this in other post~)
#hey I'm back to Jak and Daxter fandom because it's the time of the year when I feel nostalgic for these games again#omg I miss them so much#is more people still in the fandom?#it's been a long time#jak and daxter#onin#gol and maia#jak 3#jak 2#jak and daxter the precursor legacy#jak and daxter theories

1, 2, 12, and 16 for the WOTR mechanics asks?
From this ask meme. Thank you!
1. What led the future Knight-Commander to take their base class?
Ligeia's a bloodrager, so partially, she's born with it. She's a bloodrager and not a classic sorcerer in part because the bigger emphasis Bloodrager has on manifesting that inborn magic through the body. Since Zura was her patron and is a demon lord with both a regular human appearance and a more monstrous one -> I imagine Ligeia's bloodrages also emulate that aspect. And too Zura is a god of blood, vampires, and cannibalism so something that gets you up close to rip and tear like bloodrager does just fits better than a classic sorcerer in how to manifest that power.
2. What led to the Knight-Commander picking their archetype, or staying the standard class?
If Bloodrager is her inborn abilities, her Primalist archetype represents her training, and maybe her Sarkorian roots, corrupted as they are. Also ooc personally Daemon totems work well as a combo to represent the combined Demon/Undead bloodlines she has going so I use it to sub for the bloodline powers I don't care about or that her mythics make redundant anyways.
12. How does their mythic path synergize with their personality - does it augment it, or is it in contrast? Something in-between?
Both Trickster! and Demon!geia are equal parts of her personality. The meaner aspects of the Trickster class are very much Ligeia at her most irreverent and spiteful. It's the part of her that's tired of being "somebody" to other people and wanting to make them regret picking her for whatever purpose they've divined for her to fulfill for them. It's the part of her that says "I'll bring you the outcome you asked for, to the letter even, but you won't like how I do it."
Demon is very much her rage, obviously, but also her independence. She doesn't want to be bothered by any of this and honestly fuck you for trying to involve her at all. It's the furthest extent of the Trickster side of her, the point that she's run out of patience for the long game and just says "this is mine, and I don't care what you wanted, for it or me, now get out of my way."
16. How well do they play mechanically with their romance, if any? If not, which party member do they synchronize best with?
Ligeia and Daeran stay on opposite ends of the party in most fights. However, they synergize very well when it comes to defeating the undead. With the right feats to work around her being a dhampir, certain encounters are "oops all healing" for her, where she keeps any physical attacks off Daeran while he heal-nukes the place.
Also as I go on in the Demon run I have been messing around with "corrupting" her closest companions so Daeran has been picking up curse and harm spells, which, the latter also heal her quite a bit while hurting a lot of others and those debuffs are quite fun in amplifying her damage.

Y'all are so ridiculous lmao. Here's 2.5k words that are probably equal parts angst and domesticity. This is five years post divorce.
///
Yelena sits at a high-end restaurant, sharing her table with a captivating black woman whose radiant smile and crown of ebony curls exude a natural beauty. Their laughter fills the air, a reflection of the deep intimacy and ease that comes with dating for over a year.
With her effortless charm and resilience, Monica Rambeau instantly captured Yelena's heart. The subtle lines on her face tell a story of strength forged through life's trials. What binds these two together goes beyond words. Yelena and Monica share a profound understanding of each other's pain and trauma, an unspoken connection that weaves their lives together. They both carry the weight of loss, have walked the path of military service, and possess a disciplined nature. Yelena's enigmatic allure and sharp intellect fits in perfect harmony with Monica's indomitable spirit and boundless compassion for others. Yelena, often guarded, finds solace in Monica's unwavering support, while Monica draws strength from Yelena's fierce loyalty. They innately understand each other's pain and trauma, creating an unspoken bond that allows them to build a fulfilling life. Together, they’ve envisioned years overflowing with love and commitment. Yelena and Monica have decided to embrace the long haul, fully invested in creating a future, and ready to weather any storm that comes their way.
Yelena takes a delicate sip of her vodka sour, the liquid tang dancing on her tongue, and she can't help but burst into laughter at the absurdity that came out of her partner’s mouth.
"Nic, you did not say that to a four-star general. I don't believe you."
"He was so stunned he didn't even know how to respond."
"And you still walked away with the case assignment?"
"Absolutely. Once he realized I had him cornered, he had no choice but to give in."
Their laughter fills the air, their connection crackling with energy and warmth. But the moment is interrupted when Yelena's phone buzzes in her pocket, pulling her attention away. She retrieves it, glancing at the urgent text message that flashes across the screen: "Emergency at the Bishop property."
"Sorry," Yelena apologizes, her focus shifting entirely to her phone as she begins to type a response.
“Everything okay?” her girlfriend asks, concern etching her features.
A reply message pops up, and Yelena's skin drains of color. Swiftly, she rises from her seat, retrieves her wallet, and drops a few hundred in cash on the table.
"One of Kate's crazies broke into the house while she was there.”
"Oh my god! Is she okay?"
"I don't know. I need to go handle this."
"Yeah. Yeah, of course," Monica replies, her worry evident.
Leaning in, Yelena gently presses her lips against her girlfriend's, a tender farewell.
"I'll be home as soon as I can."
Monica cups Yelena’s face with her hand and delicately caresses her cheek with her thumb.
"Please be safe."
"Always."
Yelena steals one final kiss before rushing to the door.
---
The flashing red and blue lights of patrol cars cast an eerie glow, reflecting off the sleek facade of the mansion. They pulse with a sense of urgency as a few dozen members of Yelena's security team and police remain scattered around the premises. Yelena arrives quickly enough that they haven't even driven the intruder away yet. Her eyes lock onto the disheveled figure in the back of the patrol car, his face marked with bruises and tears mixing with snot as they stream down his cheeks.
Yelena's steps boom against the driveway's paving bricks with a determined cadence, underscoring the fury simmering within her. She marches purposefully towards the spot where Clint Barton, the man responsible for overseeing the night shifts, engages in conversation with another guard. The sheer intensity radiating from Yelena is palpable, causing the other bodyguard to grimace, excuse himself, and hastily retreat from the impending storm.
"What the hell happened?" Yelena demands, her voice tight with anger.
"I'm not sure. It looks like the guy broke in through the back, near the guest house.”
"What do you mean you're not sure? Check the damn footage."
"Ma'am, that camera has been down for over a week. Records say we put in the repair request, but the techs haven’t come yet.”
An irate growl builds in Yelena's throat.
"So we have a blind spot, and instead of assigning someone to cover it until it's fixed, you simply left it unattended?"
"No, ma'am. Kaplan has been back there for days, but he went on his lunch break."
"And no one replaced him?"
"We're down two men today, so we didn't have the bodies. There's a flu going around. Richards and Lang called out sick."
“Then you call the office and you have them pull from somewhere else! We have guys on call for this specific reason. You don't leave this property or team short. EVER. Am I clear?"
"Yes, ma'am. I did try to..."
Yelena's focus is abruptly shattered as another body collides into hers with unyielding force. Even before she lays eyes on Kate, she catches a whiff of that familiar perfume, stirring unwanted nostalgia and longing inside her. It's been far too long since they've been this close, yet the effect remains undeniable.
Kate clings to Yelena with a desperate grip, seeking comfort and security in her arms. The blonde adjusts her position within Kate’s arms, turning to face the younger woman directly. Their eyes lock. The instant blue and green meet, it’s as if a dam has burst and a torrent of sobs spills from Kate's trembling form, the weight of her emotions breaking through the surface.
"Hey…Hey…You okay?" Yelena's voice is tinged with concern, her gaze searching for answers.
“I heard your voice. Inside. I heard it…You came.” Kate manages to utter between tears, her voice filled with relief and vulnerability.
“Of course I came. Of course.” Kate's grip tightens around Yelena. Yelena responds by enveloping the brunette in her arms, holding her closer with tender strength. "Is Eli on his way?"
Kate's head shakes against Yelena's chest, tears staining the fabric of her shirt.
"He's in Edinburgh. He's on set, shooting the sequel to his stupid alien movie until June.”
Yelena lets out a sigh.
"I'm calling in more bodies, at least until he comes back. You'll be safe."
Kate looks up at Yelena.
"Can you stay?" Kate asks, her voice soft and small. “Please."
Yelena hesitates for a moment while surveying Kate’s distressed face. With a resolute nod, Yelena reaches out and tenderly takes Kate's hand in her own, their fingers involuntarily intertwining as if guided by an invisible force. Neither of them notices the subtle gesture, too consumed by the moment's graveness and the need to protect and be protected.
With their hands entwined, they move forward, stepping across the entryway and into the house's safety.
---
Yelena steps inside the house, her first time crossing its threshold in five long years. Memories of joy, pleasure, and heartache rush back. It looks different now, the decor changed, but familiar elements still evoke a bittersweet sense of nostalgia. The space is both foreign and strangely familiar, leaving Yelena with conflicting emotions. She's somehow trapped in a paradox. She feels a sense of displacement, like a visitor in her own past, yet there’s also an undeniable feeling that she somehow belongs here, even after all this time.
As Kate settles on the couch, her body curled up protectively, Yelena gracefully lowers herself to a squat, positioning herself at eye level with the younger woman. Their eyes meet, and Yelena's concern deepens.
"Are you okay?"
"I turned around and he was...there."
Kate’s voice trembles as she responds. Yelena shakes her head almost imperceptibly, regret and guilt shadowing her expression.
"Kate, I'm so sorry. This should've never happened. It's my fault. I haven't been checking in on your team enough. I dropped the ball. I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault." Kate's response is immediate, her voice filled with conviction as she counters Yelena's self-blame.
"It is. I take full responsibility, and if you decide to find other security options, I completely understand."
A soft sigh escapes Kate's lips, and she reaches out to gently touch Yelena's arm.
"I'm not sure how many times you're going to make me say this, but I’ll say it again…you're the only person I trust with this.” Kate’s words carry a reassuring sincerity that resonates deeply with Yelena.
"A guy just broke into your house under my watch."
"Not yours. Not specifically."
"You know what I mean."
Yelena's attention drifts towards the kitchen, her eyes catching the telltale signs of a panicked struggle. The scene sends a surge of rage coursing through her veins. She clenches her fists, her jaw tightening as she imagines the terrifying encounter that took place in this very spot.
The remnants of a halfway-finished meal sit abandoned on the counter, a stark reminder of the interrupted peace and normalcy that once filled the room. The scattered utensils and overturned chairs bear witness to the chaotic confrontation between Kate and the intruder. Yelena's mind races, trying to piece together the sequence of events that unfolded, her protective instincts sharpening.
"Were you making dinner?” Kate nods. "I'll make you something."
"It's fine. I'm not hungry anymore."
Yelena refuses to accept Kate's dismissal.
"Something small. Tell me what you want. I’ll make it for you."
The faintest of smiles tugs at the corner of Kate's lips, but her refusal remains steadfast.
“Yel, I’m really not hungry."
They both fail to register the intimacy of the nickname Kate used. Yelena looks at Kate with concern, her brow furrowing slightly and leans closer.
"That chicken strawberry salad you like?” Yelena suggests, a knowing smile playing on her lips. “You always have stuff around to make that."
A small chuckle escapes Kate's lips offering momentary respite from the tension that hangs in the air.
"That's what I was making."
Yelena's smirk widens into a playful grin as their eyes lock in a lingering stare.
"You're nothing if not a creature of habit, Kate Bishop. I have to make a call first and then I'll get on it. Okay?"
With a silent nod, Kate accepts Yelena's offer. Yelena rises, her movements purposeful, and takes a step back, turning towards the living room and kitchen meeting point in the open floor plan. She retrieves her phone from her pocket, her fingers moving swiftly to dial a familiar number. Her voice remains steady and focused as she brings the phone to her ear, masking the underlying emotions.
"Hey...yeah. Yeah. Things are fine...mostly. Yeah...No. I'm probably not coming home tonight. I have to...I have to stay...I'm sorry. There's a lot to deal with over here. I'll make it up to you...I know. I love you too. Bye."
When Yelena turns, Kate's energy feels different, almost palpably so. The call catches her off guard and her previously softened demeanor shifts. At that moment, her body tenses up, and her expression becomes guarded. The realization that Yelena has a partner, someone she didn't even know existed, hits Kate like a punch to the gut. It leaves her feeling unsettled, a mixture of surprise, confusion, and maybe even a hint of betrayal.
"I didn't know you were with someone. I don't want to make it awkward or get you in trouble or...I don't know."
Yelena thought she had walked away far enough for Kate not to overhear her, but her voice must have carried more than she anticipated. Yelena's lips subtly curl upwards as her eyes meet Kate’s.
"You're not."
"You can go. I don't want to keep you from...anything."
Yelena shakes her head as she removes her blazer. In a familiar motion, she neatly drapes it over the back of a nearby breakfast stool, a ritual ingrained in their shared history. It's a small, seemingly insignificant moment, yet it carries a weight of familiarity and comfort between them. The sight evokes memories of countless evenings spent together around that same kitchen island, engaged in deep conversations that stretched late into the night. During those quiet moments, their connection blossomed as they shared their dreams, fears, and secrets with one another. The kitchen became a sanctuary, a space where they could be completely forthcoming and vulnerable, finding serenity in each other's presence. The years now seem to fade away, transporting them back to a time when their lives seamlessly merged into one. Despite the circumstances and the distance that has grown between them, it’s evident that old habits die hard for these two.
"She's used to it. You're not the only one of my clients who has a crisis every so often."
"Right."
"And I think I should also say ‘congratulations’." Yelena points at the giant engagement ring on Kate's hand. "That's an impressive rock.”
"I designed it."
"Wouldn't expect anything else."
Kate's gaze drifts downward, fixated on her thighs. After a moment of silence, she finally speaks.
"I guess we both found our people."
It's easier to say this than to admit the weight of the secret that Kate carries. Merely a week ago, Kate called off her engagement with Eli before he left to shoot his latest film project. The ring on her finger remains, a constant reminder of another failed relationship. It’s a symbol of a shattered commitment she's not yet ready to confront. It's easier to keep it on, avoiding the questions and judgment that would follow its removal.
"I guess we did...I'll make you some food."
Kate nods in gratitude, silently thanking Yelena for the familiar tradition of the blonde making food for the younger woman in moments of turmoil. As Yelena skillfully maneuvers around the kitchen, Kate watches her with a hint of admiration. The clatter of utensils, the sizzle of ingredients, and the rhythmic sounds of Yelena’s cooking fill the air, creating a soothing soundtrack that drowns out the worries of the world. This cocoon of domesticity temporarily shields them from the chaos and uncertainty that looms just beyond the door.

Lettie Infodump so I can talk about her here and it'll make sense
I realised I haven't properly explained what I ended up deciding my OC Lettie's uh... Deal is. I have an insane number of thoughts about her too. She's kinda my main general OC that I ported over to DoL cuz she's my main gal that I constantly rotate in my head, so this makes sense. But. Yeah. Anyway, attempting to explain miss lettice rosangel for people that follow my for my OCs for whatever goddamn reason. Infodump to provide Context about her for future posts - and a couple doodles below!
cw for more Blood Stuff than the usual DoL fare. Sucks 2 be a sacrificial lamb. and also for long.
OK so Path/ologic has always been one of the Lettie Games of All Time to me, but the way I adapted her into DoL was pretty heavily inspired by The Changeling's route (Though I also OFTEN make jokes about Cult of/the Lamb in relation to her.) Initially, because of her Dainty Woodland Weirdo vibes and stuff about her personality, I was gonna toss her at Eden and have her be a miracle-worker on the side when she's in town, but then she uh. Then she stopped being a PC and now she's just here. Among my other OCs. Doing whatever it is she does. God I really wanna do a comic based on the Pathologic intro with my PCs lol
anyway. What I actually ended up doing was making her Full Time miracle worker that was raised at the temple, because I found the image of her after being Found, spawned by the elements, getting thrown at it when her behaviour of inflicting indiscriminate psionic torture instead of crying and generally just being an absolutely horrifying creature kind of finally Broke Bailey and his goons a bit, so. Here, temple. Take this fucking thing. Kill it or exorcise maybe, I don't care just keep it away from me. And then she promptly started acting sweet as anything, having gotten old enough to start communicating a bit. (On her gaslight grindset even as an infant...)
SO. Her being thrown at the temple, plus her mysterious powers plus the circumstances of her 'birth' cleeaarly mean this is some kind of divine being, but the question of course is, In Which Direction? Upon realising that this even WAS a question, the obvious thing for her to do is to start acting the role of The Heavensent AS HARD AS POSSIBLE - Perfect and Pure and Incorruptible. Because being revealed to be even slightly bad might get her diagnosed with Lying Hellspawn. So. Yeah. Kind of a situation where you are sat up nicely on a pedestal, but don't have the Right to display any kind of moral greyness. Which is hard at times, because Lettie's kind of an asshole and only More inclined to be awful when she's being constantly treated in such a bizarre manner. Honestly even with her best efforts, I think there's murmurings of people thinking she isn't what she seems. The odd nun or monk cornering her out of sight about it and so on forth.
But yeah. Essentially, she exists more as a symbol than as a person with real thoughts or feelings. Performs illusion-based miracles, pretends to have visions and then makes them come true to fuck with people, lots of Charitable Good Deeds for Brownie Points... The OTHER thing her daily life seems to entail (Other than occasionally being molested by members of the church and overhearing people wanting to kidnap her) is being a BLOOD SACRIFICE. Her body sure is covered in weird scars from being bled on altars for religious ceremonies, or to just collect some lambs' blood for later use. And also sometimes being touched a lil inappropriately during That.
So yeah. Much thoughts on Perfection and Purity basically equating to Emptiness, Fractured Identity Stuff, Religious Trauma, the general horror-show that is the way the people that basically raised her treat her, the effects of the public eye and having to live a life where you're straight up Not Allowed to change or grow at all, because you're already supposedly Perfect. Just a hollow doll (Well not entirely hollow. She has Blood.) to project onto and adore, but also viciously blame whenever literally anything goes wrong. (I mean, is this a lamb or a goat? It's anyone's guess.)
Much Power but Zero Rights.
I have a lot of Other thoughts thematically and such but I find them hard to put into words that make sense so this is all you're getting for now.
Some Extra Facts About Her???
-Chronic Illness Moments! Being constantly a bit drained of blood, side-effects of psychic burnout plus just. Generally being sickly. This paired with the frequency with which she slips and slides around on temple floors on her sheepy hooves, I wanna start keeping count of how many times she almost gives Jordan a heart attack : )
-With her and Sydney both having kind of a IT'S COMPLICATED parental relationship with Jordan and both of them being how they are, I do NOT think Lettie likes Syd very much. Keeps telling on her when they see her break character a bit. And also is constantly just, there, being a human that she can be compared to. And if she's seen to be less virtuous than some fucking initiate, then it's OVER for her which is kinda terrifying. They rank above most of the nuns and monks at the temple on account of not personally mistreating her, but they sure do make her life harder and she delights in fucking with them.
-At some point, I made Original, Non DoL Lettie transfem because of thematic Gender stuff. Anyway I think that she came out via mix of "Your human genders don't make sense to be, but I like dresses :)" and gaslighting the temple into thinking she'd ALWAYS been this way. So she uh. Didn't come out. She gave herself bottom surgery via a terrifying blood ritual of her Own. Good for her.
-I think there is So much to explore with the Ivory Wraith. Idk the details yet, but... Yeah.
-Cuts her hair into a bob and shears her leg-wool in the summer. Also has to do smaller shearings/cuttings throughout the year probably. I think she spins it into yarn, bleaches and dyes it and knits with it. : ) Very into fiber arts in general. Sewing and embroidery and quilting are Fun and also no one can tell her idle hands are the devil's workshop if she's constantly doing something with her hands.
-I've still yet to settle on how to draw her fucking horns.
EDIT:
-Shortly after making this post, I decided she can be the PC Kylar fixates on, so I've been thinking of that. My other OC Edin already is kind of a fucking stalker, but. Yeah, it makes perfect sense for her to have multiple stalkers I think. Part of her whole deal is that she CONSTANTLY has EYES on her. Never free. Two stalkers, each with completely conflicting expectations of her is supremely on brand.
-Feeling of Kylar has figured out that she isn't what she presents herself as - but doesn't know who she actually is, instead deciding to view her as what they Want her to be, leading into the hgufkdsdjd, <3 <3 <3 You're So Naughty type shit. ... Don't tell Kylar she doesn't have a womb.
-Kylar maybe has Hopes relating to her ~special powers~ and what they could do for their parents??

BABYMETAL Shares New Single 'Light And Darkness'
Ahead of BABYMETAL's forthcoming concept album "The Other One", due March 24, the Japanese pop-metal group has released the LP's fourth single, "Light And Darkness". Along with the single comes a new video featuring live footage from their recent comeback performance called "Babymetal Returns - The Other One" on January 28-29 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba, Japan, their first performance in almost two years.
Last year BABYMETAL was "sealed" from the world after a successful 10-year journey. In April 2022, "The Other One" restoration project began to recover the BABYMETAL we never knew existed within a virtual world called the Metalverse. A total of 10 songs have been discovered within "The Other One" restoration project, with each song representing a unique theme based on 10 separate parallel worlds that they have discovered.
One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is "Light And Darkness" and this fourth pre-release digital single centers around this theme. Because light exists, darkness also exists. And because darkness is present, there is also a world that shines. During the night when light and darkness intersect, what we seek after being poisoned with darkness awaits a world filled with strong love. As the door opens, is it hope or despair that awaits us? The song expresses the duality in everything, and the way things are perceived and interpreted differ depending on each person's point of view.
BABYMETAL is preparing for its next performance on April 1 and April 2 at Pia Arena MM. Their first day is named "Black Night" and their second day is named "Clear Night". At their previous show, they conveyed that together with the departure into a new world, a new metal will be born. We will continue to see what the future will unfold for BABYMETAL.
"Light And Darkness" follows previous singles "Metal Kingdom", "Divine Attack - Shingeki -" and "Monochrome".
BABYMETAL will make a return to the live scene alongside SABATON and LORDI on their European tour in April and May.
"The Other One" track listing:
01. Metal Kingdom 02. Divine Attack - Shingeki - 03. Mirror Mirror 04. Maya 05. Time Wave 06. Believing 07. Metalizm 08. Monochrome 09. Light And Darkness 10. The Legend
BABYMETAL was formed in 2010. Their mission was to unify the world through heavy metal by creating a fusion of heavy metal and the Japanese pop genre. Their music contains a stunning mix of electronic pop, a pinch of alternative and industrial rock, and is leveled up by fast-driven heavy metal. Their live shows are ground-breaking and epic visual as well as sound performances. BABYMETAL continued to travel the path of metal with the international release of their three albums, telling the story of the mighty Fox God and his brave metal warriors.
A book about the first ten years of BABYMETAL, "Bessatsu Kadokawa Souryoku Tokushuu", was released in Japan in October 2020. It contains a long interview with Su-metal and Moametal as well as never-before-heard stories from band producer Kobametal from BABYMETAL's decade-long history, photos taken from live shows, a discussion between Demon Kakka and Kobametal, and much more.
BABYMETAL's third studio album, "Metal Galaxy", came out in October 2019 via earMUSIC/Edel. The follow-up to 2016's "Metal Resistance" was based on the concept of "The Odyssey Of Metal Galaxy".
In 2018, BABYMETAL announced the departure of Yuimetal, who was formerly one of the members of the Japanese group's core trio. She exited the band, explaining in a statement that she would go on to pursue a solo career as Mizuno Yu.

As we look ahead this week to what I always think of as the 'Autumn Triduum' of All Hallows Eve, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day, I am reminded how intimately we are connected to our beloved dead and all who have gone before us in faith and love.
Dorothy Day is my favorite example of the communion of saints in practice as a member of Christ's Mystical Body. Dorothy understood herself as a part of a community that reaches back through the generations and extends into the future.
For Dorothy, the communion of saints extended far beyond those included in the Roman Church's official list.
The communion of saints embraces the poor and forgotten, like those I have spent over thirty years hanging out with; the saints embrace the immigrants who faced a potentially lethal environment, cartel violence, corrupt officials, and governments on an obstacle course of death along the border; the border holds many such stories of border 'Saints", who, in death and life, suffered at the intersection of worlds. The saints embrace those who have lived and died in obscurity serving their brothers and sisters.
The saints embrace Martin Luther King, Jr. and those who are not Christian such as Gandhi, for saints do not have to be of any one faith.
Today I remember four saints who have gone before me, Vicki Yeley, my closest friend; my parents, Wade and Virgil Smith, and my son Zach; I remember my living saints, who support me and our ministry financially, and with their love.
The saints are far from perfect, they were and are holy. There is a difference. There are many paths to holiness, yet they wind down to one single path--that of love, a love that transforms all differences into one of caring for another. As Dorothy once said, "I try" when told she was not a good Christian. So let's keep on 'trying'!
A great cloud of witnesses testifies to the glories that come to those who persevere. So let us walk our sacred path with confident trust that the God who created and redeemed us is longing for us to arrive at the mansion that has been prepared for us since the beginning of time. Deo Gratias! Thanks be to God!

2nd Week of January
Thank you, God, for another week that has passed into our lives. You did not forget us on our journey. The past week has been, I considered, a rough road for me because the anxiety level that I faced rose gradually. It’s a little manageable, but everything seems pretty close to an end. Last Monday, I finally closed the payment with my agency in applying for something great – a dream of mine that I am currently building every year. I feel that I am close now compared to before. A plan with actions. I am really grateful for all instances that I faced throughout the year of building this. There were times that I ended up losing hope, and there were days that I was so high and full of energy to pursue this dream of mine. One thing I have learned so far is, no matter the circumstances and distractions – don't give up, just keep going. I do not know what will happen next, at least I try, and there will be no regrets in the near future. I am not sure what awaits me in the future, but one thing is for sure – no matter what, I am going to win with the help of God and their instruments to make this happen. “Magkikita rin tayo soon.” Thank you to all the people who believed in me – from my parents, relatives, friends, and girlfriend – who always had my back during tough times and discouragement. I know that my dream is something great and big, but it is what it is. All I can say is that I have a God Father who is bigger than my problems and dreams, so I believe that if He allows it, it will happen. I trust in Him more than my plans. I trusted Him; if my path right now won’t be successful, it’s okay. He has a very good reason why it would not happen, and I have proven that many times in my life. I am proud of myself because I now have the courage to take actions in fulfilling my dreams even though I cannot control the situation. At least I tried my best. I also remember my girlfriend saying to me, “If it's meant for you, it will always find its way to you, regardless of the circumstances. It will come to you.” Yes, she’s right. Don’t chase the butterflies; let’s attract them.
Every day is a battle between life and death. We do not know what will happen on the next day; that's why I always thank God for the beautiful day that He has given to me and to my loved ones. I reflected recently because I noticed three black tarpaulins on Malagasang road as we were going somewhere; it means that people died. I am not sure of the cause, but I realized that life is short and weak. We need to enjoy and value it as long as God gives this precious gift to us. This week has been tough and rough for me because I struggled at work, and one of our team members will be leaving soon. All her responsibilities will fall on me, and the workload will increase. I don’t know what I should do at that time. I just ignored the tickets and had no energy to work on these things. I focused on the Knowledge Transfer Session and listened to my body. If my mind and body do not feel like working, then I don't. I don’t want to push and put myself at risk that could lead me to burn out. Fortunately, I had someone to talk to – my dearest girlfriend, who is always there for me to listen and provide light when I needed it. I mentioned to her that I am recently facing some issues about my existence, and it was not good at all because of work. Luckily, she gave encouraging statements to realize that there’s more to life to conquer and battle with. I am proud and loud about this lady because she's not someone who discourages you when you are down; she’s amazing. She inspired me to be resilient when facing difficulties in many aspects of life. Thank God for allowing me to meet this kind of woman in my life. She’s a definition of someone I call affluent.
This week, I closed my rings in exercise, consistently did my fast. Well, as I said in my previous blog, my goal for the first quarter is to establish a habitual system – exercising, prioritizing a healthy diet for mind and body, reducing social media usage, and enhancing in-person social connections. So, I started small and always remind myself to keep at it little by little every day. For me, I realized that every day is another chance to be successful and get closer to your goal. Also, the bonus in here is I feel the calm in my body and mind; I feel there’s something changing that I cannot explain. During my fast, I controlled my mind to not eat and controlled my thoughts and hunger. What a good sign that there’s change happening in my body, so addicting.
The last day of the week was an adventure with my girlfriend. She was so incredible and patient that time and always understood every scenario we were facing on the road. She’s flexible, and I missed her so much. It’s our first date for this year, and every time I see her, I fall in love again and again. I don’t know what's with this woman, there’s something in her that I could not explain. By the way, she’s glowing up and beautiful as always, despite facing problems recently. Thank you for the cheesecake; it's so delicious, and I love your efforts to be with me and support me all the way through (she initiated this trip because she wanted me to support my baliw moment last week ahhaha). I love you!
For the upcoming week, I decided to keep going and maintain the same routine. I tried to read more pages in books to broaden my creativity. I hope the 3rd week is full of fun and exciting news. There are 50 weeks to go, and I am excited about what will happen next! See you!

Exploring Northern Spain (modified)
I am writing this on the evening of September 22 from our last destination of this planned trip, Oviedo, Spain. We have two days here before we leave for a trip with Annie & Carl to Brittany, France. I'm afraid my social life has gotten in the way of my journaling - so tonight I'm staying in and writing. It is NOT like I am cloistered though, we are in the center of the city and currently a marching band is passing our hotel. Mark is trying to figure out if this is just a Friday event or a pre-football event. Real Oviedo is playing Langroe tomorrow - and I know y'all know this is NOT pointy ball football but the real thing. Anyway it is awesome.
This is pretty much our route with mini variations as we have veered off to see this or that amazing thing. Today we went went through Picos de Europa National Park. We are in España Verde (Green Spain) and it is simply beautiful. Here is a bigger shot of our route. Our eastern most point was San Sebastian or Donostia as it is called in the Basque language. That is what I will talk about today.
Sept 19, 2023
San Sebastian or Donostia
What an absolutely gorgeous place!!
This beach is protected on 3 sides by land (the beach is like a clam shell) and people swim here year round - although this is the North Atlantic. This place was was Queen Isabella II can 3 times a year to bathe to address her skin condition. Now - I'm going out on a limb here - but truly she bathed ONLY 3 times a year. I'm guessing had she bathed - let's just say once a month or every other week - or gods forbid DAILY - her skin condition would have gone away. But that is just me...
This might be a good time to talk about the Spanish Royals. Let me just say - What the hell?
Spain has a constitutional monarchy - like Great Britain. But there are a few differences.
Before the death of Franco, he had hand-picked his successor someone who would carry on his vision of Spain as a deeply conservative Catholic country, and thought he had found that person in Juan Carlos I, a member of the Spanish royal family. (His grandmother was the granddaughter of Queen Victoria.) In 1969, he named Juan Carlos as his successor, certain that the future king would keep Spain on its authoritarian path. But Franco badly misjudged his chosen successor. After the dictator’s death, Juan Carlos turned out to be a reformer. The constitution was rewritten, Spain transitioned to a democratic system, and elections were held soon after. Due to lots of issues Juan Carlos 1 - decided that this dictator of a Catholic nation was not really his gig - so he decided to be king instead and slowly transitioned the country to democracy. But even after passing laws saying every person was equal under the law EXCEPT the king, he realized he was not going to be free for long - so June 19, 2014, he abdicated while he had a parliament that was pro-monachy and would accept his son Felipe as king. Felipe is King and Juan Carlos is in exile - without the queen - who has had it with his shenanigans.
And the photo below is the queen and crown princess congratulation the women of the Spanish team after winning the World Cup this year. ( Notice - no kissing here)
With no male heir, Leonor, Princess of Asturias born 31 October 2005) is the heir presumptive to the throne of Spain as the elder daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
FYI - we are in the region (think state) of Asturian tonight. Just like the crown prince/princess of Great Britain is the Prince of Wales - in Spain the crown prince/princess is the Prince/Princess of Asturia
Enough about that. Back to San Sebastian or Donostia .
After Queen Isabella II decided it was "fashionable" to bathe, the trend was established and the who's who of money followed. It became all that - AND a bag of chips - so many historical figures dipped their toes in the water. People like Leon Trotsky and Mata Hari come to mind.
This town is know for its food and I could not fail to mention the Txokos, or private male gastronomic societies that characterize Basque culinary culture. These men cooking clubs are now accepting women - but they are forbidden to enter the kitchen. Sounds like something I would like.
If you can get an invitation you can expect to enjoy things like bacalau (salt cod) with browned garlic olive oil emulsion and piperade (basque pepper sauce), kokotxas (cheeks of hake fish), langoustine with serrano ham, and hard cider in the company of the other men who are members of the society.
We had these items in different restaurants but no doubt the men's club food would have been better.
This city has had some tragedies. It was a hot bed of fighting during the Civil War
From the city's website:
"31st August of the year eighteen thirteen – a date marked in red in the history of San Sebastián. On that day, blood and fire tainted the streets of our city, raising it to the ground. A huge civilian tragedy to which this building bore witness.
These were the years of the Peninsula War that pitched Spain against France. San Sebastián was under the control of the French army at that time. The Anglo-Portuguese Alliance, which had become involved in the war to support Spain, had started to gain the upper hand over Napoleon Bonaparte’s army. In the summer of that year, English troops, backed up by Portuguese soldiers, besieged the city of San Sebastián. On the morning of 31st August, troops led by General Sir Thomas Graham, who was acting on orders from the Duke of Wellington, managed to breach the defences and enter the city. The French troops, who were completely overcome, withdraw to Mt. Urgull, seeking to protect themselves inside the La Mota castle.
The locals endured a succession of unmentionable atrocities. Under the pretext that San Sebastián sympathised with French interests, English soldiers fired their guns the whole day at balconies and windows, gained access to houses and seized everything of value. The vandalism and looting spread throughout all the streets, houses and churches. As in all wars, many women were raped, and hundreds of locals were shot dead: children, the elderly…. nobody was safe. Ultimately, they set fire to the whole city.
The huge fire reduced practically all houses to cinders in the old city. This building, below (San Sebastion Cathedral) is one of the few that remained standing and is the only one to maintain the façades and construction elements typical of the time."
Not much remained. The city was built back in standard at-the-time construction so the old town looks pretty uniform today. I was however intrigued by this:
This is the city square and during the Franco times, these homes faced the bull fighting arena. You may own your home - but the city owned your balcony and for event - like a bullfight - the city sold tickets to your balcony. Hmmmm..
We loved this place and enjoyed every minute there including this beach art. Sadly it will be gone in about 5 hours. But for now, it was awesome.
I snapped a picture of this guy in a store window:
¡Eguberri on! (Happy Christmas in Basque)
This is Olentzero
Some historians believe Olentzero's origins can be traced back to pre-Christian Navarre and are linked to pagan winter solstice traditions, although the character was later adapted to conform with Catholic rituals
The story goes that Olentzero began his life as an abandoned infant who is found by a fairy godmother.
After bestowing the child with the gifts of “strength, courage, and love," the fairy leaves him with a childless couple who raise him as their own in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
Olentzero whittles wooden toys and at Christmas comes down from the mountains to the villages to distribute his crafts among the children.
Then one day as he is taking the gifts to a nearby town he passes a house that is engulfed in flames and charges in to save all the children inside. After performing this heroic deed, however, he perishes in the flames.
But his fairy godmother grants him eternal life so that he can continue to make toys for all the Basque children.
So - a couple of things: Olentzero has been cleaned up a bit over the years. Now he is a pipe-smoking jolly drunk filled with love. But 100 years ago, he would come to your house and leave a gift IF you had been good BUT if you had been bad - he would slit your throat. Talk about some motivation to mind to your parents - hey?
This character and the celebration that welcomed him were banned under Franco's rule. Catholicism was required so only the "approved" Catholic way of celebration Christmas were allowed. Below is a photo from 1930 Pre-Franco times:
Did you know that under Franco rule parents had to name their children Franco approved names? And no Basque names made the list. If you were on the Franco team - times were good (unless you pissed him off). On the side against Franco - not so good.
After lunch we headed back to Bilbao for our afternoon at the Guggenheim Museum. But you already know about that - so tomorrow I will write about Castro Urdiales and Santander. Loving Northern Spain.
Stay tuned.

i have so many rue and wuvvy thoughts after the most recent ep my head is going to EXPLODE
like i Desperately want to know more details about how and when they met. rue mentioned that they were taken from the mortal realm to the fey realm, and that courts rarely interact outside of blooms - so that leads me to think about rue, millennia ago, essentially being the wanessa of the bloom. perhaps before they donned their glamor- just a nameless, confused owlbear, practically a pet of the court of wonder. wandering around while some other member of the court ran the bloom, maybe going off into the woods for a moment alone, a moment to feel like they were somewhere more familiar.
meeting wuvvy, still a member of the court of hoof and claw, opening up to her about their situation and feelings around it. wuvvy seeing this vulnerability and establishing herself as a support unit after making that connection with rue.
and then rue gets assigned as master of ceremonies. creates a glamour to match the title. is introduced publicly to the other courts with this appearance, and rue the owlbear becomes an unspoken secret amongst those in the court of wonder who remember - though few payed enough attention to. but wuvvy will never forget. there are no secrets between them.
wuvvy watches rue run the event. even early on, their work is inspiring. the effort they put in to the bring the courts together during the bloom, to be prepared for anything, it entrances wuvvy. she spends as much time around rue during the blooms as she can, but it's not enough.
wuvvy leaves the court of hoof and claw for rue and only rue. their assistant. their confidant. their friend who they love and are loved by in return. "by their side, doing this, is where i'm meant to be".
their perspectives of the relationship are very different, though. especially as the power dynamic shifts more and more. wuvvy's devotion to rue only growing, i think that she actively imagines a future of them together, always at their side. whereas i don't think rue imagines much of a future for themself outside of their role as master of ceremonies and maintaining things around that. i think for a long time, rue is just...going along with things. resigned to them. they still very much appreciate and love wuvvy, but...
despite how the court of wonder has kept rue at arms length - i feel like its impossible to truly escape the social environment of the court, and the effects of it. i think rue has internalized a lot of the standards set by the court of wonder, walking the path that had been set for them to the best of their abilities, playing their part. it was never something that rue chose for themself, but still a role they spent so long growing into.
so of course, a breaking point comes.
suddenly, rue starts wanting things for themself outside of their duties. they act impulsively over these new and intense feelings. feelings that guide them away from the court of wonder, from acting as the master of ceremonies. away from wuvvy.
suddenly, they aren't able to trust wuvvy not to send the first letter they wrote to hob, going as far to use magic to force her to burn it. and god, how that must sit heavy in her gut like a sunken stone. they may stand loyal with wuvvy during the duel, but wuvvy does not miss the way rue looks at hob all the while. she fights with a poisoned blade. if she can remove him from the equation- even temporarily- maybe there's a chance they can recover. get back on track.
but andhera intervenes. and even if they hadn't, i have to wonder whether or not it would've been a futile effort for wuvvy, because i don't think hob was ever the root of the problem. would things have still worked between rue and wuvvy without hob thrown in the mix, considering wuvvy Chose her path to be with rue but rue never actively chose their own? and if rue had chosen wuvvy, what would have happened when rue eventually found that they didn't want to be master of ceremonies anymore? and even before that, i think at some point the lines between Friend and Assistant blurred for rue [something something don't date your boss] which made it so easy for them to use that command spell. impulse and emotion swayed rue so much, gave them such a thrill of feeling something new and different, that they completely disregarded the depth of their relationship with wuvvy, as well as crossed boundaries with her, to focus on hob.
ITS SO FUCKED UP and yet it feels so understandable and fitting at the same time given the circumstances (not in a justified way but in a The Dots Are Connecting way) i love both of these characters and im absolutely living. i can't wait to see what happens between them going forward, especially if/when rue finds out wuvvy destroyed their second letter to hob...OOF
#god i love wuvvy so much#all of these characters are so fascinating it kills me#a court of fey and flowers#dimension 20#acofaf spoilers#wuvvy#delloso de la rue

Newest GrUvia Drabble - Love Online <3
See it over on FF.net as well where you can read some of more other drabbles & fanfics!
Summary: (Small drabble) AU Gruvia set in the real world / gamers online.
Enjoy! Love KC xx
Can you fall in love with someone you've met online?
As she made her way nervously down the street, she couldn’t believe she was actually doing this and couldn’t believe it was actually happening. Butterflies consumed her whole body, giving her a buzzed feeling and honestly she felt like she was visibly shaking.
For the first time ever, Juvia Lockser was going to meet Gray Fullbuster and god did her heart cartwheel at the very thought.
But how did she even end up here in the first place?
Let’s take a look back…
Juvia is an online gamer and streamer, playing under the username AmeOnna. When she first crossed paths with the Fairy Tail league, it was in a friendly online competition where her league Phantom Lord was put against Fairy Tail. But it hardly felt like a competition to her, she really felt like she was playing with friends. Unfortunately, her league lost and everything went back to the way it was.
Until Lucy reached out to her. A few members had swapped contact details for future collabs and now Lucy was seeing if she was free to join theirs Among Us lobby. They were looking for a few more friends to join and Lucy had thought of her. Honestly, Juvia had felt guilty and she didn’t feel like she made the best impression on Lucy, but here she was asking her to join in.
She joined the lobby and she honestly forgot how friendly everyone was. She was initially met with ruckus from the usual antics of Natsu and Gray but everyone said hey and made her feel welcome.
And when Gray said hey, she felt her whole body shiver. Why was his goddamn voice so silky? When they had first spoken online in the competition, his voice stood out to her compared to the rest, and when she did her research to find out who was who, her heart stopped when she found Gray’s profile. The attraction she felt when nothing she was prepared for. She had just come out of a shitty relationship but when she saw how Gray looked and how he made her feel, even over online chatting, she knew she would never be the same.
And never the same she was.
The invites kept coming and coming and she interacted more and more with the Fairy Tail lot. Mostly in the Among Us lobby, sometimes doing smaller fun games with just the girls, sometimes teaming up with Natsu, Gray, and Elfman in shooter games, and just generally texting everyone here and there.
It was strange being the only anonymous player as Fairy Tail were full on cam gamers and were very well known but that didn’t seem to bother them at all.
Then along came the perfect opportunity, they were a person short on the Among Us lobby and Juvia knew just who to invite. Gajeel! It was risky but she was honestly surprised how well he melded in with the guys and how he would pick on the girls during the interrogation breaks in the games, calling them bunny girl and shrimp but they never took anything too seriously. It suddenly started to become a thing, that as they called themselves team Natsu, would usually team up with Juvia and Gajeel.
She didn’t mean to be so adoring of Gray over the game, but she just couldn’t help it and it wasn’t long until the group and their chats clicked on and then the memes started coming. Some were funny, some were mean but throughout it all, Gray didn’t really seem to be taking too much notice. He’d bite back at his friends and chat and always say the same thing ‘we’re just friends'.
And Juvia was ok with that. A little let down, but there seemed no harm in her pining for him with it going nowhere. And it made for good banter during games.
But as time went on, Gray and Juvia got closer and closer, finding themselves messaging each other often, usually starting with planning games together and then carrying on to general chit chat. They realised they had mutual friends, Lyon and Meredy, and would do small group games with the 4 of them which pushed the ‘dating’ comments and memes even more.
One time while generally texting, Juvia asked Gray how he found all the comments and hoped they didn’t bother him too much. He came back with his usual blunt reply that he didn’t really care either way. But then he asked how she found them. Juvia took a good while to think of a reply and in the end, was just completely honest and said she didn’t mind them at all and actually kind of liked them. Unfortunately, Juvia didn't get a response after either. Maybe she had scared him off, maybe she made him realise that all her pining and love comments weren’t as much of a joke as he thought. But she never got to find out, as the day after he just texted her again about the usual schedule.
It had been about a year of them all playing together, with the Among Us game being at its peak and honestly doing wonders for all their gaming careers. During this time, Juvia and Gajeel decided to move leagues and join Fairy Tail. Phantom Lord had all started to go separate ways and they really needed to join a league to secure their gaming futures. This was big news and Juvia got to watch Gajeel sporting the new Fairy Tail hoodies and featured on their website. He even did an interview about joining them and it got Juvia wondering. Was it time for her to stop being anonymous?
She had been thinking about it for a while, how more connected the chat and audience seem to be with an on-cam gamer. How they could collaborate online and in person. How they could meet out and about. Maybe it was time Juvia thought.
She and Gajeel lived a little further out the city than the Fairy Tail lot, which meant meeting up whether she wanted to or not, wasn’t really an opinion. However, it seemed Gajeel and Levy seemed to be willing to make the journey to see each other, as every other weekend Gajeel would be gone or Levy would appear. Juvia found it really sweet how well Gajeel and Levy got on and how it was obviously progressing into something much more.
Levy was actually the first person to see Juvia in person. It was inevitable that they didn’t meet soon, due to her interaction with Gajeel, who was not only Juvia’s friend but roommate.
However it seemed Levy had mentioned to the Fairy Tail lot how much Juvia would love to meet them all, but just didn’t know when best to as it was the next topic of conversation when Juvia next went on discord with them all.
It was Lucy that actually brought it up and said they should plan to all meet and when she was next free. Juvia just said she would be happy to see them whenever and was free anytime round their usual gaming schedule.
What she didn’t expect was Gray to also join in and say it would be good to meet her and she most definitely didn’t expect him to then message her later to see if she was free tomorrow.
No group message or mention on discord, which meant he was asking to see her very much alone and oh boy if she didn’t freak out.
It also meant that she didn’t have time to panic as she had to prepare to see the boy of her dreams (that was clueless to this) in less than 24 hours. Oh Jesus!
And now a very jelly-legged Juvia was walking across the Broadway to a small café spot Gray had suggested. She was following her maps on her phone and it took her to the end of the walkway and just round the corner to a slightly secluded spot. As she put her phone down and followed the path around, it was there she spotted a handsome dark haired guy, dressed casually in a white tee and dark jeans, waiting outside.
Juvia felt her brain stop at the sight for a second and suddenly the butterflies decided to up the tempo as she approached him.
Gray was looking down at his phone as she made her way over. She stopped a small distance away from him and said a shy ‘hi’. Gray just about heard and glanced up to spot where Juvia stood. They looked at each other for a second until it clicked with Juvia that he had no idea who to expect. ‘I’m Juvia.. Anemone” she said with a laugh, realising her mistake.
His eyes widened at the realisation and a smirk came along with it. ‘Hey, Im Gray’.
‘Nice to meet you’ she replied.
Gray motioned to the door and said ‘Wanna go inside’?
They sat just the two of them, tucked in a corner with a dim lamp accompanying them. The place was small but cosy, and freshly furnished with wooden and metal aesthetics.
They put in their drink orders and they arrived quickly after.
Juvia was stirring her drink, mixing the rose syrup into her fizzy drink. Now they had got initial introductions out the way and were more comfortable she was starting to relax. ‘Sooooo then… what made you text to meet up so soon?’
‘Ah yes,’ he blushed slightly, making Juvia’s heart pound harder. ‘I'm actually going on a business trip next week, so today was the only day I was able to do and knowing the other lot, I’d be the last one to meet you by the time I get back’. He smiled but just looked down at his black coffee.
Juvia laughed softly at his reason. ‘Would they be that bad?’
Gray laughed back ‘Oh yeah. I wouldn’t hear the end of it when I arrived back, especially with the way you are with me. Natsu would never leave me alone about it’.
‘What do you mean, they way I am with you?’
Gray looked over, with a stern but humorous look .
Juvia laughed again, and held her hands up in defence. ‘Ok, ok, I get you.’ She took a pause to take a sip of her drink and looked up at Gray. ‘I am very sorry if I have caused you any trouble from this. That was never my intention’.
Gray waved her off, ‘’You don’t need to apologise. Everyone finds it pretty amusing, even if it’s at my expense.’ He smirked over her way to show he was joking again.
That made Juvia smile and feel some pressure off her chest. She was glad she wasn’t too much of a bother to Gray. Maybe he even likes it, a little.
‘Sooo then’ he started mimicking Juvia from before, ‘why the anon life?’
‘Me? Ah well,’ she started biting her lip to think what to say.
Gray gazed at her while she paused to think. She was kinda everything he expected and nothing at the same time. She was definitely a lot more timid in real life than compared to online. She’d be shouting and saying absolute nonsense during the games, and yet here, in person, it seems she was a lot calmer offline, which he found cute cute, especially how easily she seemed to blush over the simplest talk.
In appearance, she was extremely pretty. He hadn't really imagined what she would look like, or more so, he tried to avoid it to stop making assumptions, but he had hoped she would be a little cute. But here she was, bright blue eyes and blue locks trailing down her back. With her decision to remain visually anonymous, he wasn’t expecting her to be this attractive and yet here he was, sitting opposite her and quite taken with her looks. What was he kidding? He was extremely taken with her looks. Her cat shaped eyes, long eyelashes and how easily she expressed her emotions on her face. If someone had described her to him, she wouldn’t be the usual type he was interested in, but now, taking her appearance in for himself, he couldn’t deny the attraction or how it was making him slightly nervous.
‘I don’t know honestly. I started quite early when there weren't many girls online, so it seemed the safest to stay anonymous. Our whole Phantom Lord league was at first, but eventually they all swapped over to the cam but at that time I couldn’t afford a cam, so I stayed faceless and my channel just kinda grew that way. I’ve also never been a big fan of my appearance so I didn’t think anyone would be interested in even seeing the way I look.’ She smiled once she had finished, waiting for his opinion.
He blinked at her. Did this girl just say she didn’t think anyone would be interested in how she looks?
‘Yeah when we first started out, having Erza play with us was a real difference compared to other channels but I guess Fairy Tail has always been a bit different.’ He chuckled, trying to figure out how he could approach the part about her appearance without being too weird about it. ‘I don’t think, erm, y’know, you should have felt the need to hide. I think people would have found you interesting…’
A blush glazed her cheeks at his half-attempt of a compliment. ‘You think? You think I should show my face soon? It would definitely mean I could meet up with you guys more and be seen with you!’
Gray was a little taken back that his awkwardly worded sentence would boost her this much, but if it works, it works.
He smiled, ‘Yeah definitely. I'd watch your channel if you showed your face, but it’s up to you really..’ he trailed off realising what he just said.
Juvia looked wide eyed at him, straw in mouth from her sip and a grin slowly grew. ‘Oooo now you know what I look like, you’ll finally watch my channel?’ She leant over to poke him in fun. ‘Wait, have you never watched it?’.
Gray was like a deer caught in headlights. In two very dangerous headlights that were currently staring across the table from him. It seems like she was finally warming up to him in person as her bubbly personality that she shows so profusely on her gaming chat, was finally coming out.
‘No no I have, you know what I mean’. Gray grumbled to himself, looking back down at his coffee and away from those dangerous blue eyes.
Juvia laughed at his very tsundere personality. He was usually so smooth and quick over chat, and yet, meeting in real life made her realise that maybe she wasn’t the only one with insecurities that you can leave behind when you go online to game with your friends.
They carried on chatting away which felt like hours, just getting to know each other more, how they got into the gaming world and finding out they had a lot more in common than they both realised.
As they parted ways at the cafe, after Gray had posed the offer to walk her to the station, but she kindly declined, ignoring her nagging heart, Juvia couldn’t wipe the grin off her face. This meeting had gone even better than she imagined, and she wondered what more could come of her and Gray in the coming future.
She knew she was probably thinking miles ahead of anything possibly happening, but she would be eagerly awaiting the next time they could meet.
And Gray’s smile on his face was surely saying the same things too.

Unlucky in Love
masterlist
Gif credit to @ogledalo-moje-duse
Summary: Spencer is unlucky in love - until he isn’t.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Warnings: swearing, some suggestive content
Word Count: 3.4k
Spencer Reid is, by most people’s definition, unlucky in love.
It wasn’t for lack of trying. In his early twenties, Spencer often caught himself fantasizing about being on the receiving end of some great storybook romance straight out of one of the classic novels on his bookshelf. On the rare occurrence where his mind was able to slow down long enough, Spencer would daydream about what his future partner would be like. Would they share his fondness for the written word, or his penchant for foreign cinema? Would they find his tendency to go off on tangents endearing and his less than fashionable style of dress charming? Spencer liked to think so, but the likelihood of finding someone who could accept him despite all of his quirks seemed low.
But still he hoped, even though he knew hope was a dangerous thing. Hope gave life to the possibility of disappointment – and if there was one thing Spencer did not need more of, it was that.
Spencer Reid was in love with the idea of love – obsessed with the idea of his soul intertwining with someone else’s. But with his thirtieth birthday quickly approaching and absolutely no prospective love interests in sight, Spencer was feeling more than a little disheartened. It certainly didn’t help that everywhere he turned, love was running rampant. Hotch had Beth, Penelope had Kevin, Jennifer had Will, and Morgan had… any number of possible partners. Emily and Rossi were both unattached, but happily so in a way that Spencer just couldn’t quite manage.
It wasn’t that he didn’t like seeing the people around him happy – it was just that he couldn’t help but wonder when he’d finally get his chance at love.
A month before Spencer’s thirtieth birthday, everything changes.
When a member of Garcia’s victims’ support group goes missing, it’s all hands on deck at the BAU. It’s not that they’d give any less than one hundred percent on any other given day, but as with any case that hits close to home, everyone on the team is in a frenzy trying to put the pieces together. The thing that makes this case different is the fact that people from other departments are quick to lend a hand. It comes as no surprise to Spencer – Penelope is a social butterfly by nature. She made it her business to know and befriend everyone in the building. Her sunny disposition is hard not to love, and her current distress had garnered the support of more than a few non-team members.
By the time the case wraps up, the bullpen is much busier and, much to Spencer’s chagrin, much louder than usual. The steady influx of people has Spencer’s head spinning and he can’t seem to focus on the papers sitting in front of him. What should take him thirty seconds to read has almost taken twenty minutes, and at this point the words on the paper are all running together. Spencer knows that it doesn’t help that he’s running on less than three hours of sleep, as evidenced by the frequency of his yawns. Worse even is the fact that his coffee cup is empty and no, he thinks, that simply will not do. With a sigh Spencer pushes away from his desk, bones creaking as he stands.
With his coffee cup in hand, Spencer shuffles to the breakroom. He goes through the motions of preparing his drink, lazily stirring in the mountain of sugar before turning to leave.
Spencer supposes that if it weren’t for the fact that he was horribly sleep deprived, he would’ve seen you walking down the hallway. But alas, Spencer’s alertness had been compromised by poor sleeping habits, and he isn’t aware of your presence until his body is colliding with yours and his hot coffee is dripping down the front of your blouse.
“Ouch,” you whimper, and Spencer is immediately overwhelmed with guilt.
“O-Oh my God, I am so sorry,” he splutters. Without waiting for a response, Spencer’s rushing into the break room and procuring a thick stack of napkins. The part of his brain that controls logical thinking is apparently overrun by the onset of his mortification, and in an act of absolutely panic, he begins to dab at the stains with one of the napkins.
“I-I wasn’t looking where I was going. I’m so so sorry,” Spencer stutters out, frantically attempting to blot the stain. “I’ll give you money for a new shirt. A-Actually, you should probably take this one off. The best way to treat scalds is to immediately get the person away from the heat source. You should also run some cold water over it.”
In his hurry to rectify his mistake, Spencer hadn’t managed to take a good look at you. When his eyes leave the stain in favor of looking at your face, he prepares himself to see anger there. What he doesn’t expect is for your face to be just as flushed as his, with eye brows raised in shock.
Spencer also doesn’t expect this to be the moment he’s been waiting on his entire life, but one look into your eyes tells him this is it - this is your person.
Stunned into a stupor, Spencer stills, eyes boring into your own. You’re even more beautiful than he’d dared to let himself imagine, but in all honesty that didn’t matter much. What matters is the fact that there’s a faint hint of smile lines etched into your skin, and your eyes are so inherently kind that Spencer has no doubt that you’re as gentle as you are alluring. Your benevolence is also evidenced by the fact that you hadn’t immediately begun to yell at him, and for that he is thankful.
Spencer’s revelation renders him unable to form any semblance of thought, and before he knows it almost a solid minute of him gaping at you passes. You begin to squirm uncomfortably under his gaze.
“I, uh, appreciate the help, and you seem like a nice enough guy, but your hand is on my boob and I kind of make it a point to not let strangers touch the goods. So, if you don’t mind,” you stammer, looking pointedly at his hand that is still pressing a napkin to your chest. Spencer recoils as if he’s the one that’s been scalded.
“I-I didn’t mean to, um, t-touch your -,” Spencer gulps, “- chest. I swear I was just trying to get the stain out. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable,” he chokes out. Spencer had imagined the moment he’d come face to face with his person a million times, and none of his daydreams had accounted for the possibility of him giving her second degree burns and inadvertently copping a feel. His emotions fell somewhere between mortification and elation.
“Mm likely story,” you murmur, lips upturning into a smile that has Spencer feeling weak in the knees. Spencer practically swoons. “Do you make it a habit to ask strangers to take their tops off, or am I just special?”
Oh God, had I really suggested that? Spencer cringes and wonders what good an IQ as high as his was when it seemed to fail him at times like these. Speaking to women had never been a specialty of his, despite Derek’s coaching, and Spencer was floundering to come up with an acceptable response.
You are the most special woman in the world, probably. Nope – too creepy, and Spencer definitely doesn’t want to scare you off. Not when he’s been waiting the better part of thirty years to meet you.
I didn’t mean to insinuate that you should take off your shirt, but I also wouldn’t particularly mind if you did. Even worse – that would certainly earn him a stern talking to from HR.
Spencer decides to go for the honest approach.
“I-I’m not sure how to answer that.”
His honesty draws a laugh from you, and Spencer loves the sound so much that he decides then that he’ll never tell a lie again. You shake your head at him and reach for the napkins that he still has clutched in his hands.
“What’s your name?” you ask him as you continue his earlier efforts to sop up the coffee.
It’s probably the easiest question he’s ever been asked. That doesn’t stop him from making a fool out of himself, though.
“I’m Doctor Spencer R-Reid. Uh, I’m Spencer. Y-You don’t have to call me Doctor.”
Someone please put me out of my misery.
Your eyes meet his again and he can tell that you’re holding back a laugh.
“Okay, then, Spencer,” you say as you discard the napkins in a nearby trash bin. “I’m Y/N.” You punctuate your words with an outstretched hand, and before Spencer can think better of it, the usual spiel come tumbling out of his mouth.
“The number of pathogens passed during a handshake is staggering. It’s actually safer to kiss.”
Your lower your hand and cock your head to the side.
“Are you always this forward, Doctor Reid?” you tease him, eyes flashing amusedly.
“I-I didn’t mean that we should kiss,” Spencer interjects, cringing at the way his voice has suddenly raised in pitch. “N-Not that I wouldn’t kiss you! I-I’m sure that kissing you would be really n-nice. I just meant that… you know. Germs.”
Are you there, God? It’s me, Spencer. A hole opening up in the ground and swallowing me up would be great.
To Spencer’s delight, you don’t seem offended in the slightest.
“I cannot believe that they’ve been hiding you up here, Spencer Reid. I should’ve come to visit Penny years ago.”
Wait – what?
“You work here?”
You nod.
“I work on the floor below this one – sex crimes,” you explain.
“For how long?”
“Coming up on three years now.”
Three years. You’d been right under Spencer’s nose for three years and he hadn’t the slightest clue. You’d parked your car in the same parking garage and taken the same elevator as he! How many times had your paths nearly crossed in the last three years? If he’d been just a little bit earlier or a little bit later getting into work, might the two of you met earlier? The possibility of it was maddening.
“Oh, wow. I-I’ve never seen you,” Spencer mutters lamely. But miraculously, you don’t think he’s lame, if your response is any indication.
“Nor I you, Doc. It’s a shame, too. You’re a funny guy.”
Spencer Reid has been called a lot of things in his lifetime – funny was never one of them.
“Y-Yeah. I’m a real riot at parties,” he deadpans. “I’ll be sure to keep that in mind,” you hum, and Spencer really hopes that you mean it. “Would you mind escorting me to Penelope’s office?”
Spencer nods, and the two of you fall in step together. Spencer’s wracking his brain again for something – anything- he could say to fill the silence. Thankfully, you don’t seem quite as inept at conversing as he, and you beat him to it.
“You look a little young yourself, Spencer. How long have you worked here?”
“Uh, I’ve actually worked here for almost eight years. I started when I was twenty-two.”
Your eyebrows raise in shock.
“Twenty-two, huh? That makes you – what? Thirty now? I wouldn’t put you a day past twenty-five,” you muse, and Spencer isn’t quite sure what to make of that. You must pick up on the conflicted look on his face, because you clarify. “That’s a good thing, Doc. I hope I look as good as you do when I’m thirty.”
Spencer has to remind himself how to breathe.
“I’m not thirty yet. Technically I have twenty-three more days. I could have a rapid decline in attractiveness by then.”
Spencer’s not usually one to try to be funny, but she seems to have a good sense of humor and he wants to impress you in any way he can.
“I guess I’ll have to swing back by in twenty-three days and find out.”
The two of you come to a stop in front of Penelope’s office and Spencer tries not to look as disappointed as he feels. He doesn’t want your meeting to come to an end – not when there’s so much about you that he wants to know. He wants to ask about your opinion on books and obscure foreign films and most importantly, Spencer wants to know what you think about him. Did meeting him affect you in the same way it did him? Did you secretly wish to make this moment last, too?
Spencer wants to say so much, but he can’t. He’s too awkward and too scared and too nervous to find the right words. So instead, he gives you a tight-lipped smile.
“I’m sorry about your blouse. Can I please give you the money to buy a new one? I feel like it’s the least I can do.”
“Absolutely not. It’s really not that big of a deal. Didn’t even really care for the shirt, if I’m being honest. Red really isn’t my color.”
Spencer wants to tell you how wrong you are – that he’s infinitely certain that you’d look irresistible in any color – but he doesn’t.
You reach for the door knob, and Spencer’s shoulders slump.
“It was nice meeting you, Spencer.”
And then you’re gone, and Spencer can’t help but think that he royally fucked up the most important introduction of his entire life.
--
When Spencer envisioned how his life would look at age thirty, he’d imagined it being a lot different than it is now. He’d hoped to use his intelligence for something great – finding a way to cure Alzheimer’s had been his main aspiration. Yet, here he was, thirty years old with nothing more than three PhDs to his name. He’d accomplished nothing of great significance, and the idea of having wasted his intelligence was eating away at him.
In short, Spencer Reid was in a bit of a funk.
It didn’t help that he hadn’t seen you since that fateful day in the bullpen. Spencer had contemplated paying you a visit, but the lingering embarrassment over his actions kept him from reaching out. He didn’t think he could handle how badly a rejection from you would hurt, so instead he sulked around the office and wallowed in his own self-deprecation.
Spencer’s birthday wasn’t something he tended to advertise. From a young age, he’d chosen to observe it silently. Usually, his mother would forget, and he never really had any friends to celebrate with, so the day was always rather unimportant to him. Perhaps he would order takeout and gorge himself on greasy food while he sat alone in his apartment. It had been good enough for him last year, and he supposed it would have to suffice this year as well.
He made it a point not to mention it to his coworkers, and the day passed by just as any other day. By the time five o clock rolled around, Spencer was waving a goodbye to his coworkers and heading out the door. As he waits for the elevator, he debates on whether to order Thai food or pizza for dinner.
Just as he settles on Thai, the elevator doors open.
“Oh, thank God, I was worried that you had left already!”
Before Spencer can get over the initial shock of seeing you, you’re stepping out of the elevator and into his space, an excited smile on your lips. And then you’re holding out your hand, and Spencer’s almost moved to tears when he sees you wielding a single chocolate cupcake.
“I wasn’t sure if you’d like chocolate or vanilla better, so I went with my gut. I get the feeling you’re a chocolate kind of guy,” you say, eyes shining as you look up at him. “So, was I right?”
“You brought this for me?” Spencer asks, voice barely above a whisper. He can’t fathom it – that you had spared him any thought past your initial meeting. Spencer had surely expected you to forget about him entirely. Either that, or you’d written him off as someone to be avoided.
You nod.
“Of course, I did. It’s your birthday. Everyone deserves something sweet on their birthday.” You pause, the smile dropping from your face. “It is your birthday, right? I didn’t miss it, did I?”
Spencer is slow to shake his head.
“N-No, you didn’t miss it. I’m just surprised you remembered.”
You chuckled softly.
“You’re very unforgettable, Doctor Reid,” you say, and Spencer’s heart flutters in his chest. “And you didn’t answer my question.” You gesture to the cupcake expectantly.
“Chocolate is my favorite,” Spencer breathes out, raising a shaky hand and taking it from her. “I… Thank you. You didn’t have to do this. It’s not that big of a deal.”
“Are you kidding me? You’re turning thirty. That’s a very big deal, Doc.,” you argue, and Spencer gives you a tentative smile.
“If you say so.”
“I do,” you smirk, before hitting the button to open the elevator doors. “So, do you have any big plans to celebrate?”
The doors open and you and Spencer file into the elevator together– an event three years in the making.
“Not really. I was just going to order some food and stay in,” Spencer says before taking a bite of the cupcake. It tastes wonderful – better than a store-bought cupcake could ever be. This cupcake was undoubtably made from scratch, and the thought of you taking the time out of your day to bake something for him makes him feel weak at the knees. Pair that with the way you’re looking up at him and Spencer worries he might collapse.
“What kind of food?”
“Thai,” Spencer says around the mouthful of cake.
“Mm,” you hum. “You know – I happen to love Thai food. And I also happen to not have any plans for the evening.”
Even Spencer, who struggles to decipher the simplest of social cues, can deduce that you are insinuating that you want to spend the evening with him. He’s thankful, then, that he had already swallowed the bite of cupcake, because there’s no doubt in his mind that he’d have choked on it. Spencer gapes at you, but your gaze is unwavering and your body language gives no indication that you were joking.
“D-Do… Do you want to, uh, come over?” Spencer trips over his words more times than any grown man should, but in his defense, he isn’t exactly well versed in matters like this.
“Do you want me to come over?”
“Yes.” Spencer answers so quickly that it should be embarrassing, but it’s hard to feel anything but happy when you’re looking at him like that.
“Then in that case, I thought you’d never ask,” you sigh dramatically, and then the door opens up and you link your arm with his. “You know, I was beginning to think I’d never see you again. I’ve been driving Penelope crazy asking about you, Doc.”
“You’ve been asking about me?” Spencer asks, incredulous.
“Absolutely. It’s not every day that you meet a guy who has the audacity to feel you up and ask you to undress within the first five minutes. I just had to know more,” you tease, and Spencer can’t help but laugh. Despite the cold air of the parking garage, Spencer feels warm – warmer than he’s ever felt and he knows that it has everything to do with the way you’ve pressed yourself against his side.
“In that case, I’m very glad I spilled my coffee on you,” Spencer says and you let out a snort.
“Yeah, I could’ve done without that part. And the part where you called me germy.”
“I did not mean it like that,” Spencer insists. You hum and detach yourself from him, and Spencer instantly misses the contact.
“Because it’s your birthday, I’ll let you off the hook,” you announce, making your way to the other side of his car, all while never taking your eyes off him. “And if you’re lucky, birthday boy, I might just be willing to test that theory of yours.”
Spencer cocks his head to the side.
“Theory?”
You nod, and the smile that creeps across your face is the best birthday present he’s ever gotten.
“You said you thought kissing me would be nice. I think we should find out.”
Spencer Reid is, by most people’s definition, unlucky in love. But as he steals glances at you on the way to his apartment, his chest swells with a hope that maybe – just maybe – his luck is about to change.
