enha girlie gets to voice a new character in a video game the boys play, and yk who are more excited than she is? heeseung, jake, niki! (iirc they are the ones who talk gaming the most)

for days the boys are begging for a sneak peek. bombarding (name) with question after question. “are they cool?” “is their power op?!” “can they beat up enemies quickly?”

heeseung and jake are trying to see the character’s stats and planning on how to better utilize them, while niki is asking if he could brag to his friends about personally knowing the character’s va and being in the same band lmao.

bonus: niki accidentally lets the cat of the bag too early.

(name): yeah, you can tell your friends im va but after the game’s company reveals it first.

niki: wait the company hasn’t revealed the character yet— oh…

Ok so I finished Dawntrail a couple of days ago, and I got so many thoughts about it, things about it I loved, things I didn't vibe with, thoughts of what I both hope and fear will happen next, so prepare for a ramble as this will prolly get long xD MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR DAWNTRAIL DOWN BELOW!!!

Where do I even begin? I got so many throughts about literally everything it's hard to decide where to start, but think I will start with what I loved with this expansion overall and then go from there:

The graphic update is so good, everything looks so nice, the new zones and towns are amazing, all the zone music and music overall this expansion is a fucking banger there is no music I dislike which is amazing, the dungeons and trials, except for the last two for me, was so good, fun mechanics and bosses that is harder but not impossible! Most of the characters were so good and interesting and I loved to get to know them all!

But one issue I had with the expansion as a whole and not just the second half of it, where pretty much all my issues are tbh, is that the voices or rather the voice deliveries this expansion was really weird for the english voices, it felt like the voice direction or the mixing was very off and every character was affected. Like there were several moments Graha or any of the other scions spoke and I got all ??? that's not how you usually sound like what is going on?? And then there is Wuk Lamat, love her voice af, but there were many moments where I felt she just needed to push a bit more especially in emotional moments, her crying is fine but when she needed to get loud and yell it just didn't work, but I feel it's more because of the voice direction and mixing than the actual voice actor. And she isn't the only one though and this has been a issue I feel since the patches for Endwalker, something is really off!

And not to mention that the translation and subtitles are very off, they gotten so very bad since the patches, as my older sister plays in japanese but with english subtitles, and she understands japanese well enough to notice when the characters says more than is subtitled which really sucks. And there was allot of that in the patches, an example when Zero says to thank everyone she says their names in japanese but not in english, and there were moments here in Dawntrail that happened too, don't remember them atm tho since it was a bit since me and my sis talked about it, which sucks, feels like we who play in english are missing out on things all because things just isn't translated properly.

Then there is the msq, I absolutely adored everything until lvl 95 after the first story was done where we crowned Wuk Lamat dawnservant etc, mostly everything between 90-95 was perfect to me, great pacing, great characters, fun bosses and dungeons. The small critiques I got is that we barely spent time at the moblins they didn't even get any voice scenes, and that I wish the like rivalry we were meant to have with Thancred and Urianger thanks to them working for and supporting Koana instead of Wuk Lamat could been stronger. I would had loved a instance of us maybe fighting or just something more there.

And then there is the whole trading part with the Pelopelo, forgot their names the small duck faced ppl, where you are meant to trade things up for more expensive stuff, loved it love the UI they had for it and so on but wish they could gone a bit further with it, like they could have let us fail properly and mess up for example, that if we choose wrong here and there we would been forced to start over at a certain point, just something more there and it would been perfect!

But those are the only things I had issue with when it comes to the first part of the expansion, now to the second where most of my grievances lies and also my fears for what will come next:

First of shiiooni the cowboy place, the story there was truly what you call filler, which I get we can't always have something high stakes thing happening, not always needed either and things was brewing in the background, but I wish there had been more to the story there just it was very bland, something more could have happened there and instead it feels a bit like a waste of a zone even though I like the zone itself very much! Just something more happening in that zone could been really good but no we got like nothing. Connected shitall with the characters there except for our reflection versions of the trolley people they made me so darn happy!

Then the attack at the city happened, wonderfully fucked up but why did they have to kill off Guloo Ja Ja?? Think that's how you spell his name, but Papa simply I love him he was and still is one of my fave characters from this whole expansion, and it feels they went with the way too easy route to just let him get killed for drama, it always happens with fathers who are done and give away their position but i am so tired of it he could just gotten really hurt instead it would done pretty much the same give or take, you don't need to kill off someones dad to give them motivation to kill their own brother for doing so! He had already butchered a bunch of the towns people Wuk lamat did not need more motivation to go for it, and if he just needed to be put out of comission so he wouldn't solve shit too quickly then just hurt him a bit and shit would been fine, it just sucks and while the death scene was good it just frustrates me, let the parents live for once!!

But anyway then there is the dome, 30 years passing etc, loved that whole thing wonderfully messed up but here we meet the sole character that ruined the ending for me personally, Spherne or however her name is spelled. The idea of her and her story is great, but the execution of her character did not work for me at all, and it could been easily fixed if at the end of her instead repeating the same old "sorry for killing your ppl" she could had tried to tell something about herself but maybe failing etc, just said something to give her more character than "I love my people above everything else and I will kill anyone who harms them and I will keep them alive even if it means killing others", that was her whole personality there was nothing else there and it could been fixed so easily by her just admitting to it? If that makes sense? She was just so very bland and could been so much more and I get it she is just the memory of a person long dead but just give me something more, and then there is her design it is so bad if they just pulled back a smidge it would been fine!

After meeting her I feel the rest of the msq ends up so rushed, which like technically makes sense since we in a hurry to stop zorol ja think it was spelled mister first promise boy, but it made it so for me at least, that I didn't get a chance to connect with the new characters properly, didn't get to know the new villain at all, which could been on purpose since wuk lamat and sperne is kind of opposites, but it just didn't work which makes me so frustrated because it could worked so well!

And not to mention, a thing I didn't think of until my big sis mentioned it and how frustrated she was about it, is the whole electric sickness happening there! We have a cure for it we can fix that but there was no mention of it or anything where we could go oh hey we have a cure for this since its the whole thing from the first and tempering we could gotten Aisaie summon Angelo and help the sick boy but no, nothing! This better get mentioned/fixed in the future story patches or I will go insane!

Fuck we could had brought it up to Spherne and made her situtation more complicated but no!

And then there is Otis, I loved that guy but he was instantly taken away and killed we got no time so spend with him except for in the Living Memory later on but that wasn't truly him and it just sucks, wish he had been around longer and things didn't get so fucking rushed here!

Loved the trial for Zorol ja tho it was great, loved how it subtly explained why he was how he was, and while I would had loved having more of it outside the trial before we killed him etc it still worked out and made sense, love his son so much he is so good and I adore that blue baby! But I want to know who his birth mother is, who the fuck is Zorol ja's birth mother?? How was he born even though it is said two headed maamol ja can't have kids? Or is it just so darn rare he just ended up been the first ever? Game please explain gkejngke!!

But then comes Spherne and fucks shit up, which would work if her whole character wasn't as bland as a wet salty cracker! The whole of Living Memory was amazing i cried so much, the zone is amazing the music the progress of it was great, the whole message of everyone dies and life goes on hitting me way too hard.

But then there is the dungeon and Sphernes trial, the fights etc is fine and the visuals great, but thanks to her constant talking in the dungeon and its her we fight it just it's just so meh, she needed something more and now she will be part of Wuk Lamat's story forever and it sucks! Also I am still irritated that she kept calling Wuk lamat by her family nickname like please that was so rude, but I also get why Wuk lamat didn't protest proepr but still! It would been more interesting if like wuk lamat was like no u can't call me that and spherne been apologetic etc, and then later at the end wuk lamat lets her call her by that, just something!

Ok so rant over there but now we get to what my hopes and fears are for the future story, as now we got a fucking mguffin that can open portals to other reflections! Which we luckily know shit about except Kriles people had it but that's all luckily since they didn't know shit about it either, and I hope it stays that way for at least another expansion as it feels we are rushing the whole "find a way to other reflections" bit way too much, it already felt a bit rushed in the endwalker patches, but now we got a mcguffin and I am worried about it!

As while I want to visit other reflections, be able to visit the first with the scions again etc, I don't want to do that just yet! There been too much of reflection stuff in the story, I want a break from that and focus on other parts of the world we haven't been to, like Mercedia, Graha's home land, the Roegadyn homeland etc, I want to wait and let Y'sthola work more on finding a way, as I fear this mcguffin will make things way too easy and solve this whole thing, I want the story to wait, let us do other shit while this storyline can be like in the background a bit, and not the focus! And then it can blow up and be the focus again! I feel we need a break from it and I fear this will be the focus of the patches that is going to come.

After all the best part of the msq for me was when we just enjoyed ourselves in the new world and places we got to explore, where there was no mention except some smaller references and the reflections was not in the focus. I just want a break from it let it brew and stop rushing it!

But I am hopeful that this is something that will take awhile, since we literally have no clue what or where the mcguffin even came from or what it is, so I hope this will mean that it will take awhile, and that we can focus on other things like the electric sickness in solution 9 and their whole messing with souls there! I want clarification on if Alexandria etc is from the reflection from the second umbral calamity or not, as the hints are there as it would make sense, but I do not want to focus on traveling to any reflections for now. I want to explore other things so badly get to do new things and not reflection stuff please.

The only exception to any reflection focus is if something gets fucked up and the WoL gets sent to a reflection alone, with no one there to help us while the scions etc tries to find and contact us, that is the only reflection story I will be ok with getting at the moment as I want things to go wrong more and not feel as easy as it feels currently when it comes to travelling to the reflections!

久しぶり！皆はどう？私は元気。私たちが最後に話してから、たくさんのことが起こった。

先学期はとても難しかったんだ。Cさんと私は話しを止めた。I won't get into too many details but my mental health was absolute dog water. とても落ち込んでいた。。。I still somehow managed to get on the dean's list (i have no idea) (it was my 4 credit chinese class that i got an A in that helped me do it)

With all that said, I'm doing a lot better now. I just hope it stays like that…

この冬休みにたくさん原神をしたｗｗ

I'm currently building her and shes only lvl 5 (all talents 0) and she already does more damage than my lvl 80 beidou lol

Actually, 先日は、I finally got my yanfei to friendship lvl 10! Even though I'm mainly farming for Navia right now, I want Yanfei to be my first triple crown cutie. She was my first lvl 90 character and first friendship lvl 10 character. It's only fitting that shes my first triple crown cutie　(my acc is just turning into a yanfei fan acc lmao)

I also managed to get Chevreuse before Raidens banner ended so I'm gonna build her and now I have a good team! Yanfei as my DPS, Beidou as sub dps, and Fischl and Chevreuse as support. I also noticed that Chevreuse was healing me? That's awesome and super helpful. 

But i digress

It's been a few weeks since classes have started so let me tell you what's been going on in my japanese classes!

We had to briefly introduce ourselves on the first day but she wanted us to use たり　たりする for talking about things we like and i forgot TT i wasnt the only one who messed up lmao

A lot of kids in that class that I'm surprised made it this far…. Who said that

In my practical reading and speaking class we started off by learning and talking about 体験教室 (たいけんきょうしつ)　trial lessons

We did a dialogue of sorts, for example:

あなた：すみません、～～～の教室に参加したいんですが。

受付の人：次はX月X日のX曜日です。

あなた：いつですか。

受付の人：朝／昼のＸ時からＸ時と昼／夜のＸ時からＸ時です。

あなた：いくらですか。

So it was basically things like that where we practiced different situations and then switched to listening practice. Then we moved on to foods. Conversation like：

B：三日まで持ちます。

Now, in my intermediate 1 class, we've been doing all sorts of things.

First we started with apologies

Ex. im sorry for talking in class - 授業中に話してすみませんでした。（formal)

So its just the verb in て form plus すみませんでした or ごめん depending on formalness

Im sorry for sleeping in class - 授業中に寝てすみませんでした。

Im sorry for not bringing my textbook - 教科書を持ってこなくて済みませんでした。

Im sorry for the late reply - 返事が遅くなってごめん。

Sorry for not keeping the promise - 約束を守らなくてごめん。

Pretty self explanatory. We then added どうしたんですか to expand on it.

A：ルームメートを起こしてごめん。

B：どうしたの？。

A：歌を歌ったんだ。

B：そうですか。静かになってください

A：友達の誕生日を忘れてごめん。

B：どうしたの？

A：最近、とても忙しくなったの。

B：そうか。じゃあ、忙しくならないでください。

A：原稿用紙を出さなくてすみませんでした。

B：どうしたんですか。

A：犬は原稿用紙を食べたんです。

B：そうですか。だめですよね。

Simple. 次！

Next we started learning about といいですね which is basically used for saying you hope something will happen.

Like, i hope you find a good part time job ＝いいアルバイトが見つかるといいですね。

Or, I hope it doesnt rain ＝雨が降らないといいですね。

So it's just the short form. (the casual version is just といいね）

But if you want to talk about something you hope for yourself, you have to make it more modest by adding a んですが。 or んだけど。 (casual)

I hope i get a good grade ＝　いい成績をとるといいんだけど。

Note: all these といい examples means that you are hoping that something nice happens. This means that these patterns cannot be used in cases where you hope to do something nice, which is under your control. In that case, you use the potential form. 

I hope i can go to japan this summer ＝　この夏、日本に行けるといいんですが。

It's actually really simple. Let's try some more sentences.

I hope yamashita sensei buys a car = 山下先生は車を買うといいですね。

I hope Tanaka and Yamada dont break up = 田中さんと山田さんと別れないといいですね。

I hope I can write tonight = 今晩、書けるといいんだけど。

I hope the plane doesn't crash into the building = 飛行機が建物にぶつけないといいですね。

I hope i dont eat humans = 私は人間を食べないといいんですが。

I hope someone tells me they love me on february 14th = 二月十四日に誰かが私に「愛している」と言ってくれるといいんだけど。

Because i was bad in class today, i hope the teacher doesnt kill me = 今日の授業中に私は悪かったので、先生が私を殺さないといいですね。

I hope i can fill my bathtub with baked beans and cinnamon toast crunch and take a bath in it = 浴槽（よくそう）にベイクドビーンズとシナモントーストクランチを入れて、お風呂に入れるといいんだけど。

いただけませんか＝ the polie version. Used for bosses, professors, or strangers. 

Would you lend me a hand? = 手伝っていただけませんか。

くれませんか＝ about the equivalent to てください most appropriate in the host-family context will you wait for a second? = ちょっと待ってくれませんか。

くれない＝ or the て form by itself is very casual. 

Pick that thing up (and pass it to me), will you? = それ取ってくれない？ or それ取って。

It's pretty self explanatory. 

Could you write this report? レポートを書いていただけませんか

Could you translate this book? = この本を訳してくれませんか

Could you drive me to the fish store? = 魚屋まで運転してくれない？

This concept just feels a little strange only because we don't really have an equivalent in english. At least, not that I know of. 

And finally its the てあげる／くれる／もらう nonsense but i already covered it in a different post from today.

I was gonna say "more likely than you think" as if that hasn't been 50% of my deal lately. Anyway, came across a cute picrew and wanted to show off some of the original characters from Driving Through Tunnels (With No Light at the End) now that we've been introduced to most of the auto shop team!

Some character rambles under the cut!

Ricky Kronbach - the man, the myth, the legend. Hardly needs an introduction since he's our main guy. Ran into some trouble, stole a conspicuous purple car because of it, and because he could neither afford a new car or a paint job, he tried to proposition Roger in exchange for said paint job. Instead, Ricky got a crash course on how to fix cars, a decent job, and a somewhat stable life in his home state of Minnesota. As of 1998, he's the newest mechanic to join the team. He's a bit of a prodigy when it comes to technology, having gone to university (and then expelled for unsavory reasons) for computer engineering. How that managed to translate to an uncanny ability to fix anything remotely mechanical that he touches is beyond anyone's guess. Ricky's a bit of a sour apple, but no one can really blame him. He plays things close to the vest, and someone must be at least a LVL 50 friend in order to unlock his tragic past.

Jenny - the token girl mechanic at the auto shop, but none of the guys look down at her for it. She can and she will bench press an SUV with her scrawny little arms, and she will also crash people's place whenever they're feeling down with pizza and a six pack. A single child, she's lived a pretty sheltered life. Her parents wanted her to be either a lawyer or a doctor, but ever since she was 5 she would collect Hot Wheels alongside her impressive number of "career" Barbies. She signed up for one class during high school and it was over: there was nothing she wanted more than to work on cars. Jenny's a little put off by Ricky at first since the guy kind of materialized out of nowhere one day, but she soon realized how committed he was to learning the ropes. During his first year at the shop she tended to keep her distance, fraternizing only during Bowling Thursdays, but when weird stuff starts to happen and Ricky begins to grow agitated, she self-appoints herself as Ricky's BFF. Surprisingly, they click extremely well.

Roger - being a man of morals, he saw a desperate kid on the run fighting to survive and he gave him a wrench, the couch in the shop office, and a bite to eat. Jersey accent? Thick. Eyebrows? Thicker. A bit of a hardass at work, but a caring family man when it's time to close up his shop for the day. He's 5'2" and will not hesitate to throw down with someone a foot taller than him if they act stupid. Hardly ever smokes, but will pull out a cigarette when shit gets a little dicey. He's a pretty lenient boss when his mechanics are going through it, and he tends to keep it professional while on the lot, unwilling to overstep. But being older means he's world-weary, and seeing a face he remembers from the news haunting Ricky, a young man no older than his oldest son, he will try to keep tabs on him and make sure he's okay.

Dean - senior mechanic nearly a decade older than Ricky and loves to rub it in his face. So far the most tech-savviest of them all, and also the nerdiest. He's scatterbrained and a gossip, his improv game is off the charts (which makes him a hit at D&D tables), and will try to get beetles to unionize given the chance. His fashion sense is only rivaled by Jenny's, which usually leads to Roger griping at him that, yes, he has to wear his overalls when hitting the bays. Yes, Roger is well aware that he's not the one buying Dean's clothes but for the love of God, kid, think of how much you can save by not getting motor oil all over those fancy threads. Though he might hold his age over Ricky (and Ricky thinks that might just be because Dean sucks at bowling), and is a firm believer in having co-workers be co-workers and nothing more, Dean has and will extend an olive branch in the case where he is needed. In fact, he's lost at least one mobile phone because he lent it to Ricky prior to a mysterious excursion, but he's never asked questions. Dean's been around the block enough times to know when not to ask questions, and he knows when people need to stick together.

That being said, the upcoming banners are 90% useless too me. I have c6 every 4 star and have both 5 stars. I might go for Kazuha's weapon but like, I don't use him enough to justify that. I don't use him at all really. I prefer Venti for CC bc he has tighter CC and longer stunlock. I think the most I use Kazuha is...my Lyney team. Tbh. I don't even think I use him much there either. I have a C6 Layla and she buffs normal and charged attacks + applies cryo and shields. I only use Kazuha if Layla is taken for another team (which is a lot...Layla is the only shielder I use really since I don't have Zhongli yet. He's the only archon I have yet to get bc I got Raiden while pulling for Cheveruse.

Tbh, I'm glad the upcoming banners are worthless to me bc I have a guarantee for Arleccino (thank you Itto for breaking my win streak. I'll 100% get you next time.)

Also, the starters are in the Chronicled Wish banner and its a higher chance of getting them bc its a smaller 4 star pool. But the thing is, I want Amber. I fucking love Amber and if they dont give her a skin soon I will riot. But like I'm only getting Lisa. I have a c4 Lisa now. I love Lisa. She's so fucking pretty and she's my second strongest starter (Kaeya...isn't built. Amber's my strongest and my only starter to hit 50k as of rn.) But like-

My starter luck is good in the worst way. I got c1 amber forever ago, bought c2 from the shop after Neuvie's banner, got c2 Lisa from singles i got FROM ASCENDING LISA and took way too long to get a c1 Kaeya.

Lynette is so pretty. Like, I have a nuzlock account and she's one of the characters on it and I'm just like

Every time because she's so pretty.

I'm not one to do this much, but Arleccino's idle leaks marked her the first Genshin character to get a "mommy" out of me. Then as a meme to my gf cause she was the one showing me: "Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. -deep as I can manage voice- Father."

We fucking died.

Probably gonna make a post about my teams I have set up one of these days.

If they run arleccino with a wanderer rerun im going to simultaneously die and ascend because Im a wanderer main, but i want arleccino, but that will also mean theres a chance to get that damned bell at r2 while pulling for arleccino's weapon.

I have, 100%, called wanderer's bell Titty Remembrance bc i couldn't remember how to spell Tuttulyas whatever and I gave up.

My favorite no resin things to do with friends:

Bootleg windtrace: hide and seek but we have to chase each other and its fucking terrifying half the time

Randomizer: i spin a boss wheel i spin a character wheel. Assign characters and try to beat the boss with said characters. Reroll if the boss is immune only if the character is catalyst. Cue confused and terrified screaming for bosses that you don't know the mechanics of. It's more fun when using someone's world who has all bosses open. i finally got enough weekly boss materials to give alhaitham his last crown today so here are my thoughts on my current triple crown gang

ganyu

my first 5*, literally carried me through the game

i did not truly appreciate how much QOL she provides until i started an alt account without her... pain

i play her exclusively in melt teams because i don't have any of her freeze supports and i like seeing big numbers. yes i know that means i didn't need to level her skill or burst, no i don't regret it

objectively i think her character is somewhat boring but subjectively i love boring characters and she's boring in a way that is deeply relatable to me (i may or may not have teared up during her story quest don't look at me)

favorite character in the game, strong contender for favorite character ever

me meeting him in game for the first time: "lol this old man (derogatory)" me 1 hour later: "lol this old man (affectionate)"

the only character i have cons for... i will c6 you someday king

currently built as an hp shieldbot because this game refuses to give me homa but eventually i will make him a burst nuke build and also a physical dps build because he deserves to have his normal attacks seen

i gave ganyu the honor of being my first triple crowned character because she deserved it but also because i know zhongli will be my first character to reach lvl 90 on account of never leaving my team

no i don't know how to dodge, what about it

probably my favorite character to play, there's just something so satisfying about executing your combos perfectly so that you can get more E's in addition to all your endseer procs (i have him on 4pc thundering fury). also his burst animations are cool af

i may or may not have triple crowned him out of spite for everyone who said he was mid/his normals are useless/he's worse than keqing/etc etc

every time he opens his mouth i'm like mmmmmmmygod you are so annoying (affectionate)

the only character i own who also has their signature weapon... it cost me 200 wishes that i had been saving for the homa+aqua weapon banner and now it looks like neither ganyu nor zhongli are getting 5* weapons anytime soon. at least he brought home a spear for cyno along the way

i prefarmed all his talent books before his release but he was stuck at talent lvls 10/10/9 for 4 weeks because the game refused to give me the right boss drops or any dream solvents... i swear this asshole did not want to be triple crowned

genuinely feel like he exists on my account solely to make my life difficult but sucks for him i am putting him to work until kaveh is released and then i will kick him out of my team for kaveh, idc if kaveh's not a dps

that said, his attack animations are gorgeous, his gameplay is fun and very satisfying, his dps is great and his face is beautiful

The Core Mechanics

Came across a cute picrew and wanted to show off some of the original characters from Driving Through Tunnels (With No Light at the End) now that we’ve been introduced to most of the auto shop team!

Some character rambles under the cut!

Ricky Kronbach - the man, the myth, the legend. Hardly needs an introduction since he’s our main guy. Ran into some trouble, stole a conspicuous purple car because of it, and because he could neither afford a new car or a paint job, he tried to proposition Roger in exchange for said paint job. Instead, Ricky got a crash course on how to fix cars, a decent job, and a somewhat stable life in his home state of Minnesota. As of 1998, he’s the newest mechanic to join the team. He’s a bit of a prodigy when it comes to technology, having gone to university (and then expelled for unsavory reasons) for computer engineering. How that managed to translate to an uncanny ability to fix anything remotely mechanical that he touches is beyond anyone’s guess. Ricky’s a bit of a sour apple, but no one can really blame him. He plays things close to the vest, and someone must be at least a LVL 50 friend in order to unlock his tragic past.

Jenny - the token girl mechanic at the auto shop, but none of the guys look down at her for it. She can and she will bench press an SUV with her scrawny little arms, and she will also crash people’s place whenever they’re feeling down with pizza and a six pack. A single child, she’s lived a pretty sheltered life. Her parents wanted her to be either a lawyer or a doctor, but ever since she was 5 she would collect Hot Wheels alongside her impressive number of “career” Barbies. She signed up for one class during high school and it was over: there was nothing she wanted more than to work on cars. Jenny’s a little put off by Ricky at first since the guy kind of materialized out of nowhere one day, but she soon realized how committed he was to learning the ropes. During his first year at the shop she tended to keep her distance, fraternizing only during Bowling Thursdays, but when weird stuff starts to happen and Ricky begins to grow agitated, she self-appoints herself as Ricky’s BFF. Surprisingly, they click extremely well.

Roger - being a man of morals, he saw a desperate kid on the run fighting to survive and he gave him a wrench, the couch in the shop office, and a bite to eat. Jersey accent? Thick. Eyebrows? Thicker. A bit of a hardass at work, but a caring family man when it’s time to close up his shop for the day. He’s 5'2" and will not hesitate to throw down with someone a foot taller than him if they act stupid. Hardly ever smokes, but will pull out a cigarette when shit gets a little dicey. He’s a pretty lenient boss when his mechanics are going through it, and he tends to keep it professional while on the lot, unwilling to overstep. But being older means he’s world-weary, and seeing a face he remembers from the news haunting Ricky, a young man no older than his oldest son, he will try to keep tabs on him and make sure he’s okay.

Dean - senior mechanic nearly a decade older than Ricky and loves to rub it in his face. So far the most tech-savviest of them all, and also the nerdiest. He’s scatterbrained and a gossip, his improv game is off the charts (which makes him a hit at D&D tables), and will try to get beetles to unionize given the chance. His fashion sense is only rivaled by Jenny’s, which usually leads to Roger griping at him that, yes, he has to wear his overalls when hitting the bays. Yes, Roger is well aware that he’s not the one buying Dean’s clothes but for the love of God, kid, think of how much you can save by not getting motor oil all over those fancy threads. Though he might hold his age over Ricky (and Ricky thinks that might just be because Dean sucks at bowling), and is a firm believer in having co-workers be co-workers and nothing more, Dean has and will extend an olive branch in the case where he is needed. In fact, he’s lost at least one mobile phone because he lent it to Ricky prior to a mysterious excursion, but he’s never asked questions. Dean’s been around the block enough times to know when not to ask questions, and he knows when people need to stick together.

awhile ago i started a new account on a different server and the whole challenge for this account was to play w characters that don’t get any or much attention on my main account. so i wish on banners i skipped and show some love to some forgotten about 4-stars

now, faruzan isn’t forgotten about, i just cant get SHIT for her in the artifact domain so she’s been stuck at level 80 w a lvl 90 weapon and 1/6/8 talents

so i thought hey lets finally put her to use! was gonna make her a main dps at least for mondstadt and liyue before things start getting a little too beefy for her to handle but alas i never found out what her damage might even look like because i saw she took those mats and like dammittttt i cant build her im not doing that quest yet no way. didnt bother to double check bc i Knew I KNEW there was no doubt in my mind that it was locked behind it

and so back to the bench she went

and then. the adopted animal event. trekked all the way over on foot and unlocked that statue of seven and lo and behold

realistically i wouldn’t have wanted to build her anyway due to the boss’ mechanics and those goddamn henna berries. although the later has been made so much easier w the specialty tracking system. not to mention artifact domains, weapon and talent mats… madam was not going to be my first main dps lmao

I also have some thoughts on Dawntrail, spoilers down below.

So I'm rather mixed to be honest, some parts I think were really well done and cool while others felt a bit rushed and disconnected. For my first compliment at least, they did do a really good job at representation and exploring culture from what I understand too from others talking about it from said cultures. I hope they keep this up in the future as remembering how badly Gyr Abania gets shafted constantly makes my blood boil.

Lvl 90-95 95-100 though feel like two halves of an expac or patch quests though. Its very weirdly cut in half like patch quests normally would be after an expac. But at the same time having the rite of succession be drawn out would probably become a drag eventually. One of my biggest issues however has to be the villains of the expac and their motivation. We have Bakool Ja Ja as the red herring villain first who gets redeemed. I don't mind this, what bothers me is how his character was written beforehand and how some of the shit he does just doesn't make any sense. Why did he free the Valigarmanda? He doesn't give any good reason other than he just can and will. Having him maybe boast he can do it because he's a blessed sibling and getting too high up his ass and losing with us cleaning up the mess would have fit better. If his motivation is to impress his father and stop more blessed siblings from being born by them being able to leave the forest, show it better. It all just kind of happens once we get to the last trial almost out of no-where.

Zoraal Ja annoys me the most though. Because we have little to no idea why he's such a war-monger to begin with. He has this idea that everyone's gotten soft after being in peace for 80 years, then fucking show that softness maybe and how it could be bad. Even if he did win the rite, what's this mf gonna do in a city that doesn't have a port to build boats gonna do against the motherfucking LOMISAN NAVY. The closest we go an idea to why he acts the way he does it is because he's bitter about being Gulool Ja Ja's only trueborn son and having pressure and thinking he automatically deserves to rule because of that. I would have found it interesting if maybe he was bitter over his mother dying due to the strenuous birth of a child like him or Gulool Ja Ja wasn't perfect in raising him and teaching him. His motivations just kind of feel lazy out of nowhere tbh.

And then there's Sphene. So Living Memory and Alexandria have things i like a lot. It's really cool to see more stuff about other reflections and also FF9 hehe. But I felt like what she did was very easy sort of shouldered off like "Oh sorry she was just programmed that way teehee but don't worry she's good again now before she diessss" Like no fuck off. 14 cant get good female villains down ever since Yotsuyu who remained bitter yet slightly regretful as she died. She never asked for redemption, and I would have liked to see Sphene stick to her shit even as she died like, Wuk Lamat cant say shit about understanding her pain. We were told how many people died in the attack, 50. How many people have died in Sphene's kingdom and lifetime? To have a whole fucking society built around erasing the memory of people who die to avoid grief and a whole area dedicated to using those memories to recreate them after life? It's not exactly comparable tbh.

I will say I do like the idea of Living Memory after Ultima Thule. Ultima Thule was about the stubbornness of pushing on and continuing to live against all odds because so many are still out there alive and living so the area becomes more full as you progress. While in Living Memory, everyone is already dead. We're just here to turn the lights off in the house. It becomes more empty and dead mall like as we progress instead because its breaking the cycle and ending the prolonged existence after death because there's no more life left to live. Next to that Sphene had built herself a sinking ship, too much empathy to let those who die to keep the memories alive are added to the Memory Zone, but that then mean more aether is needed and more reflections to drain of souls and aether until there's nothing left. It would have collapsed eventually and it was better we did it now than later.

Those are just some of my thoughts so far though.

I used characters who i have high/low Friendship bonds with. Also im pretty sure i made some spelling mistakes wich im srry for. English is NOT my first language)

You can barely open your eyes. When you do, you find yourself surrounded by aranara's and ofcourse, Nahida. "Hello creator" she says in her sweet child voice. "Please call me Y/n, i cant bare hearing that title". She looks a bit suprised but nods her head anyways. "But you said something about rivalry between the people?" You ask. She nods. "Yes. If i may ask you to follow me towards 2 people?"

Your mood changed within a second. She was already getting you to put an end on it. To make them fear you? No that couldnt be possible. Right? She must've read your mind bc she answered in a more calm tone "Y/n im talking about Tighnari and cyno. If there would be people absolutely not joining in this little thing it would be them, you dont need to fear them"

So you ended up following her towards them. I mean she was right, if there were people who wouldnt harm you it would be them. Now that you think about it there are more people who wouldnt but right now they are the most useful.

"So you actually got them here"? Cyno asked. "Im glad you trust us" Tighnari said. You were taken by suprise."Collei also seemed to enter the chaos" cyno said. This suprised Tighnari. Wait. Did that mean most of the characters you already had were doing the most damage?! "Most people who had the luck to get into the ritual called "coming home" seem to be the damage dealers" Nahida said. Oh god that sounded familiar. "Oh shit" you mumbled. "Luckily there are not many in sumeru who got into that ritual, so.. Y/n as far as i know you will be safe here" She hesitated when saying your name. You could understand that tho.

"If im not mistaken your here to stop this chaos and leave right?" Tighnari asked. At this moment you didn't know. Life in sumeru seemed nice. Or atleast how you could live in peace. At home you also didn't have that so. "I dont know, but i will think about it all" there was a small smile on Nahida's face. "If im right Mondstadt and Liyue seem to be the worst" She said. "Wait most people of the Knights of favonius and Qixing got into this ritual, so" you said. This could get alot harder then expected.

So you guys spend the next couple of days planning. Thats when it hit you though. THE FRIENDSHIP BONDS! The higher it was the more rebelious they were. Bleh kinda like yandere's. "Well it would be best to stay away from the Qixing for now" you said. There was a confused look on their faces. "Oh god how do i explain this.. ehm the people who got into this ritual and fighted alongside the traveler alot.. might be more of a challenge then people who didn't fight much alongside them, is that understandable??" You said in a nervous tone. They nodded. "So the Qixing fights alongside the traveler alot"? Cyno asked. You nod. "Oh and they might be stronger then normal.. hehe" thinking back to your lvl 90 Keqing and lvl 80 Ganyu.

"but then what would be the safest option? The Knights of favonius?" You shake your head at Tighnari's question. U ofcourse had most of the Knights so. If you thought about it Inazuma would seem safer. No Scratch that the shogun is there wich IS already a challenge herself so that would NOT work. "Maybe starting small in sumeru with the people who are like that would be the safest option, and then think about were we head next?" They all nodded their head in agreement.

"I have to go for a little while to take care of someone" Nahida said. And your love for the little man doin the fandango got the best of you. "THE WANDERER?!" you squeked out. Nahida gave a small nod. Oh wait im divine i dont think thats appropriate.. "i didn't mean it like that ehh.. since the Wanderer hates Gods (idk for sure) i dont think he would participate in this bs" You explained. In reality you'd be over the moon to meet the smal man. Nahida seemed to get your point.

So you guys went to scaramouche. Or atleast, you and Nahida. To your suprise, he was awake. And man you had to hold yourself back not to become the gremlin you are and hug him. "The divine creator?" He said in a confused tone. You nodded, a smile appeared on your face. "But please call me Y/n". He looked suprised. Why did it seem like such a crime for people to just call you by your name?? "What are they doing here" he asked. You knew that he wouldnt be very fond of you, and you cant really blame him for it.

"They are here to fix some things and-" oh she didn't know what to say next, oh well better say it yourself then. "And to see you ofcourse' you said with a smile. Why would the crea- Y/n want to see me. He thought. "And i know your not very fond of Gods and to be honest i can understand that. But at the moment it would be nice to have ur help" you explained. Wich only made scara more confused. Why would the creator, god of everything need his help?!

"Listen i can understand this is confusing, but- wait is this the first time your awake again after your fall??!" He nodded. Ohhh so thats why he didn't understand. Nahida explained the situation and all that has happened so far. "So let me get this straight, the archons did NOT see the difference between an imposter and the real god, killed an innocent person, allowed the imposter to Stab the crea- y/n and now they're fighting eachother over the fact that they didn't speak to those who hurt them?" You only nod.

++ Sayu is like a little sister to Xiao and he promised to protect her with his life

++ The first time Ayato entered my team, he cooked something for everyone and because Sayu knows him, she didn't want anything at first

++ Kaeya always braggs about being on my team since the beginning and being the first one to reach level 90

++ On the other hand, Kaeya gets a little pissed when Xiao mentions that he's getting three crowns soon

++ Sayu takes naps covered in Xiaos loose sleeve and Xiao thinks it's the most precious thing he has ever seen

++ Ayato would never admit it, but he would switch places with Thoma at anytime because he saw that Thoma had tears in his eyes when he had to leave for him (and yes, Ayato feels bad about it)

++ Kaeya has trouble sleeping and sometimes wakes up at night, causing Xiao to watch over him a little bit

++ Xiao and Kaeya have spend some nights already with talking since both of them have a lot of unpacked trauma => it started with Kaeya just rambling about how he and Diluc used to be so close and now they don't get along, while Xiao just sat next to him and was listening

++ Everytime Sayu gets insecure about her height again, Kaeya will try to cheer her up again and always offers to take a walk and look for new nap spots (she always agrees)

++ Basically, they all have sibling like relationship and I love that

++ Xiao can't eat human food besides Almond Tofu, but every time Sayu makes her special Onigiri, he will eat two or three to make her happy

++ Kaeya still has nightmares about what happened on Dilucs 18th birthday and gets flashbacks sometimes, leading to him sweating and shaking => Sayu usually tries to comfort him

++ Sayu sometimes wakes up from a nap and runs to the next cooking place, just to come back with brownies and a custom decoration for everyone

++ Ayato is really curious about Xiao and Xiaos whole being as a adepti/yaksha, so he asks him something constantly

++ Kaeya is usually really talkactive, while everyone else is rather quiet and just usually listens to him, so when he isn't talking and having his usual smug smile, everyone is alarmed

++ Yes, Xiao has a feeling that he knows Kaeya from somewhere (Khaenri'ah cough cough) but he can't put a finger on it

++ All of them get excited when I pull for a banner and get just as frustrated as I get when the character doesn't come home (Talkin' about you, Yae Miko)

++ Overall, a lot of fun, Xiao is holding onto dear life that he doesn't snap, Sayu is somewhere hiding and napping and Kaeya and Ayato are laughing their asses off

++ All of them stop when one sees a cat or a dog and start petting it when one is around

++ Ayato would never admit but he gets so pissed when I change him in for Mona and will mamble about being a "better hydro dps" (dude chill, she's a support)

++ On the other hand, he and Mona work together so well as a team when tehy're fighting the pyro hypostasis

++ Kazuha stops by once in a while just to hang out with everyone and disappear again :)

++ Yes, Kaeya and Ayato gave themself a duo-name and yes, it has something to do with "Freeze"

++ Sayu absolutely hates Dragonspine and any form of cold weather, so everyone always offers to give her a scarf, gloves and that stuff

tbh not the best quick vid out there bc all my other vids are already uploaded somewhere and archived BUT LOOK AT HOW SHE SHREDS THE SHIELD THERE !!! so yes you are on the right track if you’re trying to pull for her, she’s extremely helpful in abyss !!

now that i think about it i have not said any tips about ayaka yet so let me do it here instead :)))

1. Use her dash. Istg when you main ayaka you’ll probably use her dash most often than not because that’s how you’ll not get hit if you don’t have shield and whatnot

2. Use DIONA. Istg if you’re not using ayaka with diona wthell have you been doing (affectionately) haha anyway. Maybe it’s just personal preference but i always have diona with ayaka since double cryo would receive additional crit rate bonus so you go get that. Tbh you could also use Rosaria btw, esp if you don’t have shenhe (like i do!) (not the best vid out there but it’s just a sample. plus my rosaria’s not that properly built btw so she could be stronger than that) btw MORANA team is the best istg (as someone with no ganyu skskksks i named it with them instead okay)

3. In building a team for her you have to have another cryo member (which i established at the prev point), crowd control, and a hydro character. Freeze comp is naturally the best for ayaka, plus you would have better gameplay if you have crowd control (sucrose is good as well, tbh anyone between sucrose, kazu, and venti would be great). And adding on to that, Ayaka is actually the easiest character who could apply cryo as we don’t have a cryo catalyst yet, just use her dash.

4. High crit damage. Anemona kageuchi is a good sword, probably the next best to the crit swords out there (it’s the one i used before I had Jade Cutter). And the aesthetic fits too! But you have to make sure you’ll focus a lot on Crit DMG than Crit Rate since there will be other ways to get additional Crit rate (which are double cryo in team, bliz arti set, and rosaria). That’s why try to get a lot of Crit DMG as much as you can~

5. She’s quite easy to build so the artifacts you’ll just have to look for are Blizzard, Noblesse, Wanderer’s and Glad/Shim. Two pc or a full set, just base them on how many you already have.
