Issue Twenty-Eight: Witch Love
Tumblr media
I love how she's sitting on a statue to brood
It's so amazing
Tumblr media
That line from his dad implies he knows who Bloom is but he doesn't
Also this dynamic between him and his father and his Dad's rant about the importance of power explains so much about Darko
They really thought about how this kid grew up, huh
Tumblr media
ONDNAKSJS!! Okay imagine Darko in the show even more now!!! Instead of the bet it's this and he's a fake out love interest and maybe he's trying to find out what happened to his old friends the Trix
Ugh it would be so much fun
Tumblr media
I love this "yes we can be in a relationship but I have to be the winner" from both sides, it's great
Tumblr media
If you literally just picked a powerful dude to date. You know choosing men to be in love with is a symptom of compulsory heterosexuality, right????
Tumblr media
They're acting like an actual Court, that's so funny
And Icy looks so smug fnsjsnsnsj
Tumblr media
Shes doing a toat and everything, are y'all getting married???
Tumblr media
His–his fuckin necklace!!!! His necklace is a–
Ahem, this is compulsory heterosexuality on both sides
Tho Icy looks genuinely happy, good for her
Tumblr media
Oh that's fucking adorable
I cannot see Icy listening to someone else bitch for a long time, Darcy yes and maybe Stormy for someone she really likes, but Icy
But I CAN see Darko bitching about something random for hours and hours and doing anything to keep the person who listens to him
He seems like he doesn't have many genuine connections in his life
Tumblr media
God their so adorable
Icy wants someone to genuinely love her so bad in the comics, and I love how neither of them are all that pressed about the black mail
They've killed people before, what's a little blackmail between friends? It's such a funny dynamic
Tumblr media
This is so sweet, he is trying to save her 💙🩵
Tumblr media
Darko is trying to have a redemption arc while being in love with Icy, fucking gg dumbass
Tumblr media
The fact that Bloom even actually met up with this dumbass is hilarious
He really does care about Icy, so cute
Tumblr media
It's really fun seeing other people utilize the trolls!
Tumblr media
I love battle butlers
This moment was so much fun fbajsjsjej
Tumblr media
HE EVEN FIGHTS IN A FRUITY WAY!!!
Amazing Darko is so committed to his aesthetic
Tumblr media
Darko doesn't know a life outside of his dad but he's gonna miss Icy so much
Tumblr media
What a dramatic bitch, I love her

Stellarlune unpack with me
Sophie is done, she needs therapy
Keefe come back, please
Sophie and Ro one bed trope… slay
Dadwin was only there for a few chapters. Shannon fix this. What is wrong with you?!
Ro should’ve punched Cassius in the face… Sophie has my back
Let Sophie burn things
That fight within the entire group. Nah uh, I’m not having it
Tam vs Linh?????
What crack is Shannon on to make her do that?!
It must be a high dose whatever she is on. Like girly what? Give us back the twins as twins. Twins deserve to be bestie twins. We also deserve bestie twins
Tam sticking up for Sophie
Cue me and my fake dating Sotam au where they fake date just to piss of Fitz and add more chaos to the group
I am living for platonic Sotam
I eat that shit up
No but Sophie and Tam vs everyone
Literally everyone hates the pettiness duo. It’s Snarky Sophie and Spiteful Tam
Just Sophie and Tam being besties and glaring at everyone
Enough about platonic Sotam, we will get back to that later
Linh just stop
I want the old Linh back, she literally carried books 5-8
Stina’s redemption is just down the drain
I think Shannon mopped it up or licked it up, who knows?
Fitz needs to be angry
Let the child be angry but still be Sophie’s friend!
Chapter 23 tho!!!!
Sophie fawning over Keefe the entire chapter and finally realising her feelings
But also Ro leaving the chapter before
The Glimmer reveal
Like Rayni sounds so hot
Time to count how many people want to marry her
And that she doesn’t regret being in the Neverseen. Girlboss
Rayni is a girlboss
Say it with me, Rayni is a girlboss
Tiergan adopting all the gay kids
He is that meme of “how many kids do you have?” “Biologically, legally or emotionally?”
Tiergan is done with this hetro shit
He must want to quit teaching Sophie and Fitz at this point
The “Stop calling us Fitzphie!” Damn
Like dude you literally still have a crush on her…
Rayni is what made that book not boring
She made that meeting happen
Dex and Biana are totally dating but haven’t told anyone
You can’t convince me otherwise but their is chemistry between the 2, and it is getting spicy
Like they are getting along too well
Dexiana is sailing
Wylie stop being a fucking council stan
I am begging you Wylie!
Your dads taught you better
Btw, Tiergan and Prentice are the closest to canonically in love we will ever get!
Sophie snapping at Oralie
Dex must be there for that drama because damn, Sophie hates that girly
Just calm down a bit
And Sophie’s new attitude is slay
Marella putting gold in her hair
If that doesn’t tell you that she is head over heels in love with Linh then I don’t know what will
I ship it
Okay but the Jensi appearance
Sophie and Jensi besties
No, Sophie, Tam and Jensi as the new trio!
Jensi is gay tho, you can tell
Okay now the meeting! Rayni slay the day you absolute queen
Sophie with her entire plan
Rayni feeding Tam when his stomach growled will never be forgotten
The Trix and Rayni friendship
Tam stopping Sophie from having a panic attack because of Vespera!
Tam would honestly be an amazing friend
Trix outing Keefe for being fake with the Neverseen! Like Keefe is really an idiot
No but Maruca and her “is that true?”’s to Tam
Girly was shook
Sophie and Tam showing up to Dex’s in the middle of the night with a forbidden spy ball with ways to get Keefe back
Dex would’ve screamed
What if it was Juline that opened the door to Sophie and Tam?
Also Biana was missing
She literally just disappeared throughout that book
No but you can tell Sophie and Tam annoyed Dex so much while he was rigging the Spy ball
He wanted to slap them
Also Bex and Lex annoying them
Also poor Rex
Save Rex petition
I don’t like Shannon for that one
Then when they jumped out a window to flee to London and drag Keefe back
Sophie, Dex and Tam slayed
Then how Tam wishes Linh was there
Okay In the hotel, the “Foster?” As Sophie literally hug-tackled Keefe
Should’ve bitch slapped him tho
How Keefe was trying to take his shirt off for Tam, like you are gay
Dex standing there
Poor Dex
Also Tam just standing there
Poor Dex and Tam
Then them going back to Havenfeild
Edaline hugging Keefe!!!!
Also Keefe having presents ready to give to Sophie because of what he did
That’s what you get for running away
I want to see Sophie, Dex and Tam babysitting the triplets
Even Sophie and Dex babysitting them would be amazing
Oh my god, the kiss
The kiss guys
Sophie and Keefe finally kissed and Fitz was salty about it
Also both of them caring about each others feelings
Keefe calling Sophie “Sophie” during the confession
Fitz is salty
Like “You kissed him, you didn’t even kiss me” *wah wah wah*
Fitz is acting like a toddler that got his toy confiscated from him
Calm down dude
The damn hairpin was in Biana’s jewellery box, that was Biana’s plot point in the entire book at this point
Then Tam chaperoning Dex and Biana
He knew that Sokeefe happened so he had to move onto Dexiana
Keefe teasing Sophie
Like he really wants to kiss her in the moment
Then Keefe coming along with Sophie to make sure she is safe
That is like Sophie stopping Keefe from going to Ravagog in book 4
Sophie, Keefe, Marella, Maruca and Fitz at it
Gisela bowing up Vespera so she doesn’t have to confess her love for her
Taking notes
Then Elysian
Elysian neutrals
Like Damn girly, that cliffhanger…
And why hasn’t Ro came back yet…?

Fate rant part 1 - Winx was already dark enough
Theme-wise. There’s no excuse for whitewashing Flora and Musa.
No, really, it’s not that hard to make the story of Winx more mature, you just have to look at it differently:
Season 1 - Though it is generally pretty tame, the plot involves a girl from Earth discovering she carries in her the power of this universe’s version of God, having that power ripped out of her violently and against her will and having to go on a soul-searching journey to recover it, while the villain is wreaking havoc using it.
She also finds out that she’s adopted and that her birthfamily was killed by a coven of Witches in search of that power, and that she’s the only known survivor of a planet-wide genocide. And she’s a princess of said dead world, whci has been made uninhabitable by the attack. Oh, yeah, and the descendants of those witches are also trying to hunt her down for that same power - and succeed.
FFS, in like the 5th episode, Stella is almost murdered on screen by the Trix, because they wanted her ring.
Darcy mind-controls Riven to date her and spy on the Winx. If they had sex (which 17-18 couple probably would), that’s straight-up rape, right there.
Sky had to switch identities with his bodyguard/squire in for his own safety as a crown prince. He’s in an arranged political engagement with another girl while he pursues Bloom. You could easily dive into political consequences of breaking this engagement that has lasted since they were both children for a “peasant” girl if you wanted to show a more mature side of that. (But like, maybe demonizing Diaspro for being upset about it isn’t a good idea).
The scenes in Magix city after the attack of the Trix are fucking haunting me to this day.
Oh, yeah, and Bloom’s spiritual guide in the season is literally the ghost of her sister, who died at a very young age so that Bloom could live. (I’m sure there’s more dark stuff in season 1, but that’s just what I remembered, so feel free to add).
Season 2 - Oh, boy, season 2.
Our primary antagonist is quite literally the devil, and he was quite directly responsible for the destruction of Domino
We start out the season with the Pixie being captured by him and then tortured and killed one by one as he’s searching for an item they are guarding. Layla/Aisha is almost murdered when she’s trying to save them, managing to barely escape with her life and her bonded pixie.
During the rescue mission, Stella almost dies from lack of sunlight and her boyfriend is held hostage and almost forced to marry someone else, under the threat that if he refuses, she will be locked up underground until it kills her. He is later saved from this at the last minute through the use of a love pspell that makes his would-be wife fall in love with another man(I’m not gonna get into love potions/spells being basically date rape drugs).
A man is replaced by a doppleganger, gets the underage-or-just-fresh-adult Bloom to trust him and then kidnaps her, so his master can subject her to what is a not-even-really-veiled rape allegory and subsequent mind control.
And, once again, Bloom is still the only known survivor of a genocide and her personal story during the show focuses on her finding out more about her home and family.
There’s other things, too, like Sky being murdered and resurected by Bloom, that one episode that deals with Musa’s dead mother and how her dad became abusive out of grief.
Season 3 - it’s not any better.
The Trix are sentenced to a icy hellhole prison, that they manage to break out of with the help of another person tied to Bloom’s past - this time, a man who is effectively her dark reflection. He’s driven by revenge against his captors and quest for power that he believes is rightfully his (I’ve seen some fics suggesting that he in fact had/had learned those powers before, but they were stripped from him once he was captured and playing with this idea would be a sure-fire way to get into some dark moral corners).
This time, we have two people who were mind controlled into a relationship - Stella’s dad and Sky. Rapey much?
Like, season 3 in general is really good and really dark without even really hiding it. Everyone gets a near-death experience and Bloom and Valtor’s relationship as reflections of one another/two sides of the same coin could be something incredible to explore (and a lot of fics do).
Also Faragonda and the rest of the Company of Light are really fucking shady in all of this.
And there is Layla/Aisha’s arranged marriage to Nabu.
Movies 1 and 2 - again, not even really hiding their darkness. Mind control is ever-present, as is mass-murders and destruction, dead family members and court intrigue.
Season 4 - surprise, more genocide.
This time of the Earth fairies. - I mean, they don’t end up being dead, but... they seemed to be and a lot of them probably were.
And also the subsequent revenge against the Wizards of the Black Curcle and humanity as a whole. Give us the full story of the war between the Wizards and Fairies and you’re already really fucking dark and complicated.
Also, Nabu literally dies on-screen - some dubs say he falls into a coma, but IIRC, he dies in the original. Flat out perma-dead. Right after he and Layla/Aisha got engaged. Causing her to seek revenge.
Season 5 - good news, no genocide... except when Tritanus tries to murder everyone on the surface of Andros at the end. So... attempted genocide only. Improvement!
And there’s torture, turning people into monsters against their will, repeated attempted fratricide, a curse that tore a young woman’s spirit out of her body, forcing her to exist as a disembodied spirit for what is most likely at least 20 years.
There’s also some pretty heavy environmental messages, but that’s not really the point here.
Season 6 - Daphne has been resurected and the consequences of that.
A lot of weird and dark stuff happens.
There’s mind-control, per usual, as well as a whole lot NDEs.
Season 7 - There’s some weird dark stuff, but I don’t quite remember much.
There’s the extinction of the digmoles that the Winx prevent and a whole lot of animal abuse, but that’s about it?
Season 8 - oh, boy, season 8.
For one, there’s more mind control.
Valtor can take the power of stars out of them, dooming all the inhabited worlds around the to fucking die within days or weeks.
Need anything darker? If Valtor acknowledged that Bloom killed him the last time they met, that could go into some really fucking dark places.
Oh, yeah, and did I forget? There’s more genocide (other than the implied death of all the planets that lost their stars and froze solid), this time as a part of Icy’s new backstory.
So, to sum up:
Named characters almost dying - basically at least once per episode, if not more than that, so we’re defiitelly in the hundreds by now, and that’s just for the named characters.
Perma-deaths- at least 3: Mandragora (the witch helping the ancestress’s in the first movie), Nabu, Duman (the shapeshifting wizard from season 4)
Torture - at least 2: The pixies in season 2 and Daphne in season 5, though there is probably more.
Genocides - at least 3 confirmed ones (though non-permanent because magic): Domino, Earth Fairies and Dyamond (Icy’s home planet), plus countless attempted or possible ones.
Mass-deaths - almost every season ending has a “lot of people probably died before the villain was stopped” event. Actually, there’s usually several in each season. There’s also the city that the Ancestresses destoyed on Eraklyon to force Sky’s dad to cooperate with them and many threats of this throughout the seasons.
Mind-control - countless victims of Valtor, Bloom in season 2 (twice), countless victims of Tritanus, Riven (several times), and I’m probably forgetting some.
Child soldiers - all of seasons 1-3 and every time there’s a fight at one of the schools.
The rapey shit - rape allegory, relationship-under-mind control, use of love potions and/or spells - Riven in season 1, that underground princess from season 2, Bloom at the end of season 2, Sky and King Radius in season 3. I can’t remember anything in the later seasons, but it might be there, too.
Winx was already dark enough, and all that would be necessary to show that would be taking away the sugarcoating and making some of the “implied” stuff be on-screen.
And that’s just the plot-related dark shit - there’s a tone of element to the worldbuilding that could easily be used for dark and mature topics. Just a few examples:
The default government type is an absolutist monarchy, where the ruling families appear to be marked by their magical power and quite possibly “the blessing of the Dragon” or something like that, paraleling the so-called “divine right of kings” IRL
On that note, the Great Dragon and Dragon’s flame are definitelly religious concepts in-universe. So, where are the Dragon worshippers proclaiming Bloom to be their god incarnate?
And the Nymphs also seem to have major religious/culty vibes. Just saying.
Where did Domino get all that wealth? Were they always protectors of the Magical universe or was there some monarch who believed that since the Dragon created everything and they have the power of the Dragon, they have the right to rule everything? (To be fair to Fate, I would be totally on board if that was part of the origin story of the Burned ones, but that’s neither here nor there)
What about the other kingdoms? What skelletons do they have in their closets? (again, to be fair to Fate, they kinda did this with the whole Aster Dell thing, but they were also witches who sacrificed babies for their magical powers soo... does it really count?)
What I’m trying to say is, OG Winx already had a lot of dark and mature themes and plots that Fate could have adapted, but instead, they slapped the names of th Winx characters on generic teen drama mixed with generic urban fantasy and called it a day.

Winx movie 2- Magical Adventure Comments
HOLD ON. I’m 2 min in and already got something. I thought when Stella in season 1 ep 1 said Magix was the magical dimension she meant like….all the planets with magic. They literally just said Magix is a planet? But also the girls used to be like “let’s go to Magix!” Then go into the city so for a while I was also like “maybe it’s just the city then?” So WHAT IS MAGIX? A dimension, a city, or a planet????
HOLD UP MY GIRLS THE TRIX ARE HERE?!?! I THOUGHT THEY GOT BANISHED (again) and no one seems concerned they’re back?
Oh no I have no idea who’s talking if I can’t see their mouths move I don’t like not know the voices being back the other voice actors 😭😭
Their not as sparkly in 3D but the transformation sequences look SO much cooler as well as their powers and spells
Damnnnn they gave they gave Griffin cheetah print on her collar. Nice touch I love it
So I guess the girls are splitting their time between the magic dimension, earth, and their own worlds if the movies are supposed to be cannon? Because Bloom I’m in Sparks (Sparx?) rn when the others are at the Aflea opening ceremony, but they all have their believix which means they were already on Earth where they decided to stay for a while at the end of season 4. So…I guess they love traveling?
Called me crazy but I think “the first day of spring” is not a good enough confirmation for the exact date of your WEDDING
The Trix helping the 3 ancestral witches restore their power and rule the universe- call that family bonding
“Dad I’m getting married” “Son I have TRAUMA” like damn you think he’d tell Skye back when they first learned Bloom was the princess of Sparks and RESURRECTED HER WHOLE KINGDOM
Blooms dad is a kind hearted and dumb and he must be protected
I hate these 3 maids. They tried WAY to hard to make them likeable, endearing but goofy characters and instead made them annoying af
MALE FAERIES ALERT MALE FAERIES. Movie 2 said equality and make it canon and I’m here for it. (I wonder where the male faeries study cause it’s not alfea 🤔)
WAIT WAIT WAIT now FLORA is a princess? I specifically remember before when we went to Floras world thinking it was nice that not all the girls were princesses cause I think they made a point of being like “she’s a normal girl here.” Next youre gonna tell me Musa and and Tecna are princesses 🙄 we straight up have Midas backstory in poverty and MET the princess of her world so I’m calling bs if they try and pull any of that on me
Love Stellas plan of “just kick the guards asses to get through”
Oh no plot twist her dad is forcing her to choose a husband from ones he selected now and no I don’t like him as much and I take back what I said before 😶
AHALABSJSBS I thought the “meet the princes” part was gonna be boring but I’m already laughing at the first guy who spit out his retainer due to “hyper salivating”
SET HIS ASS ON FIRE FOR GROPING YOU GIRL GET HIM 😤😡😤
Did…did skye just steal Blooms horse? That was a gift? From her parents????
Tumblr media
EW WHO TF ARE THESE PEOPLE AND WHERE ARE MIKE AND VANESSA?!?!
This is the first time we’ve seen the girls be mentally connected to their pixies where they can sense they’re in danger and I think it’s a nice addition and adds to the whole “a faerie and pixie have a strong bond” thing that seemed to have been lost some after season 2
Ew hold why did Faragonda just refer to the Trix as the “Trixies”? Are you guys SURE the movies are cannon cause I got some issues with them 😒
If they were stuck on earth post season 4 (which we have confirmed because they have the believix) then they wouldn’t need to stay at Mike and Vanessas and go through the whole “too many people in one house” thing again cause they already have a place. IM SO CONFUSED what carries over and what doesn’t and why?!????
Nabu back from the dead with no explanation. I’ve triple checked and this is the order it’s supposed to be in so I guess maybe we’ll get an explanation in season 5???
Ok Oritel is cool again. The way he just fucking swings that sword around is 😌👌
The horse they names Peg became a Pegasus wow who would have guessed 🙄 they didn’t make that obvious the second they said the name at the beginning of the movie
Uhhhhh gotta say “ancestral witches taking over the Trix bodies to become the super Trix” was not something I expected but here we are
WAIT SKYES DAD IS DEAD??????
I should have known they weren’t gonna kill kill him 😑
Bloom you don’t need to ride the Pegasus when you are literally in your believix form now you’re just showing off
Aaaaaand that’s it that’s the movie

No one asked but here are my thoughts and ideas about Fate: The Winx Saga
First of all i loved this show so if you’re gonna say some dumb shit hating on it go do it somewhere else because i genuinely couldn’t care less (also i’m not gonna talk about the white washing because Obviously its a shitty thing that netflix has a clear history of doing but just because its fucked up that they took away that representation doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the show)
the main thing i didn’t like was stella being turned into a blonde mean girl stereotype and putting her in a love triangle with bloom and
wish she would’ve stayed as bloom’s best friend who is genuinely full of light despite having an abusive mom
i did like the whole thing of her having trouble controlling her powers because she was taught to use too many negative emotions
in season two i just really want her to be a lesbian because Please (i doubt they’ll do it though) but again I wish she wasn’t the “mean girl” because mean girl turns lesbian can be annoying (its the cheryl blossom of it all) but idc give her a gf
in terms of terra i thought she was gr8 (but obviously wish flora hadn’t been replaced by a white girl even though she’s plus sized), but i do feel at times she was put in to the box of “oh that fat girl is really sweet and sensitive and seen as a cute friend” in that way that some media acts like fat girls can’t be bitchy or angry or hot
but i do feel like as the show went on she did become more of a complex character, and i especially liked how badass she was with her powers especially in the scene with riven like Yes Bitch
okay things i want to happen in season 2! (aka how i would write season 2)
first off sky
boy is gonna be having a Difficult time with his father being back and him realizing he isn’t the perfect hero he thought he was
and he also has to deal with silva being gone and despite being mad at silva’s lies i hope he realizes that silva Is his true dad, he’s literally the one who raised him and Cared about him
onto riven (my favorite angsty teen)
so rn he’s obviously working with beatrix and Rosalind but i’m hoping for an arc in which he finally starts to take control of his life, and instead of searching for meaning through others (i.e sky and beatrix) he really works on himself and what He believes and then maybe helps the gang spy on rosalind?? and take her down??
ALSO my boy is bi, or pan, but he is Not Straight, and i Need him to have an enemies to lovers with a guy its so important
but obviously don’t want it to take away from Riven finding himself, that takes priority
i also really want to explore Riven and Terra’s relationship more? because its clear that in his first year Riven was kind of a nerd and he and Terra seemed to be pretty good friends? like they apparently hung out in the greenhouse a lot and i just think emphasizing that relationship would be so good and them helping each other figure themselves out and just being besties
time for stella
again, want her to be a lesbian
also need her to stand up to her mom and show her that she doesn’t need pain and negatively to power her, and that she is stronger than her mom thinks
just want her to be okay and happy she deserves it
she already had so much growth in the last episode, especially her realizing how unhealthy her and sky were, so i just want more of that
okay Beatrix
can i just talk about how much i love beatrix? because i Love beatrix
i feel so bad for her because she is Not a bad person, she’s literally just been brainwashed her whole life by Andreas and Rosalind
i need her to have a redemption arc so bad
i also want her to find out the truth that Rosalind has been keeping from her (kind of akin to Lila in the umbrella academy season 2)
i don’t want her to join the gang right away though, i kind of think she would need time alone to deal with her entire life being a lie, but overall i want her to be okay
but also imagine her finding out the truth, leaving, and then instead of healing she turns into an Actual villain (because we still need the trix from the cartoon and her name is Literally Be-a-trix so???? idk im Intrigued)
my babe Musa
love this girl so much, want her to just learn to open up and be happy with Sam because they’re so cute
also side note although i do love them i wish we got to see more of the beginning parts of their relationship, rather than them just talking one day and then them dating, idk they felt a Little rushed and wish we got to see more of their development
i also really want to see Musa master her powers more, obviously she can sense emotions and is a badass, but i want her to be able to use her powers for More, because mind fairies are bad bitches and i feel like she has to have more powers to unlock
also want her to do some more physical fighting cuz she clearly wants to do it and i think we deserve seeing her punch people
Aisha
something i like about her is that, unlike all the other girls, she looks at things very black and white, while all the other girls are very good at living in the grey
i also want to know more about her life and her family because i feel like we know very little about her and musa (but we know about Musa’s mom now) and i just want to Know her
finally Bloom
i love this girl so much and also she’s So Hot i want to marry her
love to see her let people actually help her because girl be Impulsive
honestly i’m just hoping for more development of her dealing with her anger and occasional selfishness, but there's nothing major in Particular i want for her besides her being friends with all the girls and to kick ass
okay those were my thoughts because i’ve been thinking about this show for the past three days thx

Girls in Love, Chapter 1 (Viopearlax) - Grey Darling
Tumblr media
A/N: Hello friends! It's been a while lol. Anyway, here's the first chapter of my new Viopearlax fic, in which useless lesbian Pearl must navigate the perilous landscape of polyamorous romance while trying desperately not to lose it altogether. This is mostly just setting the scene - things are gonna get shippy in the next chapter. Special thanks to @dollalpaca for beta-ing this literal centuries ago. Hope you all enjoy!
“I’m getting married.”
Pearl almost choked on her water. “I’m sorry. You’re what?”
When Scarlet had asked Pearl out to dinner that night, Pearl had assumed it was just for a catch up. She hadn’t seen her little sister for ages, so of course she’d jumped at the opportunity when Scarlet had messaged her that morning. All she’d expected was banter, a good laugh at all the stupid shit they used to do when they were kids; the last thing Pearl anticipated was for her baby sister to tell her she was getting married, while Pearl herself was struggling to get someone to go out with her on more than one date. Wasn’t the older sister supposed to find their soulmate first?
But Scarlet was beaming. “I’m getting married!”
“Since when? Jesus, Scarlet, I didn’t even know you were dating anyone.”
“You so do!” Scarlet retorted, pouting. “You literally met her last year.”
“I did? Who the hell was it?” At this point, Pearl had no idea whether to be angry or just confused. “I mean, seriously, Scarlet, you’re what, twenty? Twenty one? You’ve got shitloads of time before you need to make any big decisions like that. This isn’t the kind of thing you can just decide to do on a whim.”
Scarlet stared down at her half-empty plate, tugging at her bottom lip with her teeth. When she spoke, she was quiet. “I thought you’d be happy for me…”
“I am- I mean- I don’t know.” Pearl slumped back in her chair. “I just… I think you’re a little young, that’s all. Give it a bit longer with this guy, maybe a year or two. If you’re still into him by then, then by all means, tie the knot. But-”
“She isn’t a guy, Pearl. She’s a she.” Clearly upset, she stabbed into a piece of pasta with force. “I thought you knew I liked girls?”
“I do.”
“So why’d you assume she was a guy?”
“I don’t know! I’m not exactly in the greatest headspace right now, Scarlet. Fine, you’re engaged to a girl you barely know-”
“I do know her! And I’m in love with her!”
By now, it felt as though the entire restaurant was staring at them. Pearl shot Scarlet a narrow eyed look. “Can you keep it down?”
“No! I thought you’d be happy for me, but I guess that’s just too fucking much for you. I was gonna ask you to be one of my bridesmaids, but if you’re gonna be such a bitch about it I’ll ask someone else!”
Pearl sighed heavily, squeezing her eyes shut. By the time she opened them again, Scarlet was pushing her chair out from the table, the harsh scraping of wood against wood just making everything feel worse. “Wait, Scarlet-”
“I’m done. Good fucking night.”
Pearl just watched as her little sister stormed out of the restaurant, clearly not intending to pay for their meal judging by the way she breezed past the counter without so much as a glance. Well, this wasn’t how she wanted this meal to end.
Pearl knew she was right. She knew that Scarlet was way too young to be getting married, and she highly doubted Scarlet had known this girl long enough to make a serious commitment. If Pearl couldn’t even guess who this fiance was, it was a bad sign—if something important happened to Scarlet, Pearl was always the first to know about it. Surely if she’d met the girl of her dreams, Pearl would’ve received at least five essay length texts about her by now. But she hadn’t, and that made Pearl incredibly suspicious.
At the same time, she absolutely hated the idea of her little sister being mad at her. From the moment Scarlet was born, she and Pearl were as thick as thieves, and any argument they ever had was always resolved ten minutes later, both of them sobbing and apologising profusely to each other. But somehow, Pearl knew she’d overstepped the line this time, and that it would take a lot longer than ten minutes to win Scarlet’s forgiveness. And frankly, that made her feel sick.
Sighing, Pearl hailed the waiter, deciding that a stiff drink was in order.
***
“She still hasn’t texted you back?”
“Nope.”
“Shit. You must have really pissed her off.”
Pearl groaned, turning around to softly bang her head against the metal surface of Katya’s all American Russian food truck. It was a place Pearl would often go to for wise counsel and sage advice, although often the hardest part was figuring out where Katya had parked the damn thing. Katya herself, who’d been one of Pearl’s best friends since she moved to the city, reached through the window of her truck to pat Pearl on the head.
“There, there.”
Pearl glanced up at her with a glare, not in the mood for half-assed comfort. Katya raised her hands in mock surrender.
“Sorry! What do you want me to say?”
Letting out yet another groan, Pearl turned back around to lean with her back against the truck. “I don’t know. Can you tell me I’m not a massive bitch?”
“Ok. You’re not a massive bitch.”
Somehow, it didn’t sound as comforting as Pearl thought it would. But then again, she’d imagined it coming out of Scarlet’s mouth, not Katya’s. “Thanks, I guess.”
“You’re just a bit of a sour puss today, aren’t you?” Katya started rearranging the various condiments she had adorning the window of the truck, not having much else to do since the lunch rush had come and gone. “Or are you just having an existential crisis?”
“Probably the last one. I just feel conflicted, Kat.”
“Right.”
“I want to feel happy for her, but I’m also worried about her. Does that make sense?”
“Yep.”
“Good. So I’m not going crazy.”
Katya thought for a moment before responding. “I don’t think anyone would think you’re going crazy. You’re worried about your sister getting married when she’s like, still at college. Why wouldn’t you be?”
“But you should’ve seen her last night. She looked like I murdered her puppy or something.”
“I mean, by the sounds of it you did stomp all over her romantic dreams.”
“Oh, fuck off, I did not.”
Katya chuckled, bringing out that bright, toothy grin of hers. It was usually infectious, but not today. Pearl was inoculated with guilt. “Well, would it make you feel better if you met the person she’s getting hitched to?”
“I mean, I’m trying to convince her to meet up with me again, and I’ve told her she can bring her girlfriend - uh, fiance. But she isn’t replying. I’m literally blowing up her phone and getting fuck all in return.”
“Hmm. It’s a tricky one. Maybe she just needs time to cool off?”
“Maybe. I just don’t want to wait - I want to be friends with her again.”
Katya pursed her lips before reaching her hand out. “Gimme your phone, I wanna see what you said.”
“Katya, I’m not giving you my phone.”
“Come on! I wanna see if you’re being apologetic enough.” When it was clear Pearl wasn’t going to relent, Katya pushed harder. “Trix says I’m really great at being a warm and friendly person, y’know. Maybe I could write you a really good apology.”
Pearl shook her head. “That’s not happening.”
“Aw, why not?”
“Because I’ve fucked up enough as it is. I’m not going to be that disingenuous to let someone else apologise for me. If Scarlet finds out about that, it’ll just make things worse.”
“You’ve got a point. Well, I guess you’re just doomed to wait it out.”
“Fuck…”
Just as the curse left her mouth, Pearl’s phone pinged. Katya’s eyes widened as Pearl scrambled to grab her phone out from the pocket of her jeans. It had to be a reply from Scarlet, it couldn’t be anything else. Somehow, she must have subconsciously known how much Pearl was beating herself up over their disastrous dinner the night before and felt the need to text her and reconcile. That was how the universe worked, right?
Pearl grabbed her phone, Katya leaning out of the window so she could see the screen. Almost nervous, Pearl tapped on the home button, lighting up the screen and revealing the text she was so desperate to see.
SHEA: Can you fill in for my shift tonight? Not feeling too hot. Thanks!!
*** Being the good friend that she was, Pearl did fill in for Shea’s shift that night. No, spending an extra seven hours at the dodgy bar she worked at wasn’t exactly what Pearl wanted to be doing, but at the very least it would take her mind off of Scarlet.
Or at least, she thought it would.
No matter how many cluttered trays of drinks she was made to serve, she kept on replaying her and Scarlet’s argument in her head again and again, the sense of guilt almost too much for her. Every single female customer she served had her wondering - is that the girl my sister’s getting married to? She knew it was a ridiculous thought. Scarlet would rather die than spend a second with the lowlifes that frequented the bar, but that didn’t stop Pearl from worrying about it.
Maybe she should’ve just been a good sister and supported Scarlet’s idea to get married. It wouldn’t have been that hard, right? She didn’t have to go all responsible, killjoy big sister on her and crush her romantic dreams. Scarlet was old enough to make her own mistakes, right? And who even knew whether or not this marriage would be a mistake? Maybe Pearl was just being paranoid?
These were the kind of thoughts that plagued her the entire night. She’d arrived at work at 8pm, all decked out in her skanky waitress uniform, hoping that work would take her mind off of her current crisis. But there she was, three hours later, hiding out in the break room because she just couldn’t calm down about it. Did that make her a bad worker? Yes - her break wasn’t for another hour. But she’d be no good to anyone if she spilled a tray of drinks all over a customer because she was too distracted by the image of Scarlet crying her eyes out to look where she was going.
Scrolling through all the text messages she’d sent to Scarlet, Pearl began to second guess what she thought had been perfectly acceptable apologies.
PEARL: I’m sorry about last night. Can we meet up and talk about it?
PEARL: I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m just worried. Sorry again - let me know if you’re free to meet up?
PEARL: I’m sorry, Scarlet. Please text back.
PEARL: I could shout dinner? We could get Indian takeout and talk this over. Like adults.
PEARL: You could bring your girlfriend? I want to meet her.
PEARL: Sorry. I was a bitch last night. Please text me back?
And still no reply. Maybe Pearl would be able to get by on the theory that Scarlet had lost her phone, or was out of credit or something. But she didn’t believe any of that for a second - she knew perfectly well Scarlet was pissed at her and not answering her texts for that very reason. It was silly to try and assume otherwise.
“Pearl? Pearl, where the- Oh my god, could you please go back upstairs?” Pearl looked up as one of the other waitresses poked her head into the break room, her full lips shaped into a defined frown. “We’re dying out there, there’s so many people.”
“Sorry, Aja, I’ve just got a lot on my mind.”
“Yeah, and I’m probably gonna get my assed handed to me by dozens of impatient customers. Get your ass up here already!” With that, Aja was gone, her summons impossible to ignore.
Sighing, Pearl quickly checked her makeup in the mirror, straightened her dress, and stepped back out into the bar.
***
It should be illegal to make people work past two am. Pearl trudged into her tiny, cupboard sized apartment, head pounding from an unpleasant mix of not enough water and not enough sleep. At the very least, her daydreams (nightdreams?) about her bed and a nice, cool glass of water had distracted her from the Scarlet issue. So that was a small blessing.
Pearl flicked the light on as she arrived, wincing as the brightness made her headache even worse. She didn’t hate her apartment - it was tiny and under heated, sure, but there was space for a bed, a little kitchenette, a small bathroom off to the side, and her favourite bean bag chair. Plus, it had an amazing view of the city, something Pearl wasn’t planning on complaining about. Her artistic sensibilities had told her that if she didn’t get that view, she’d never forgive herself. She had to constantly remind herself about how great the view was when she was freezing her ass off in winter and would kill for a well heated apartment.
Making a beeline for the kitchenette, Pearl turned on the tap and poured herself a glass of water. It felt like magic as the water passed through her lips; the sticky, dry feeling in her throat vanishing in an instant. It even made her head feel a little better, although the brightness of the light cancelled out any progress on remedying it completely. You win some, you lose some, Pearl supposed.
After a second glass of water, Pearl didn’t even bother getting out of her uniform before collapsing into bed, dragging the duvet covers up to her chin and snuggling down into comfort. She was more than ready to drift off when she realised that she still needed to plug her phone in to charge. So, without making any effort to get out of bed, Pearl reached for her bag and pulled it towards her, digging her phone out from amongst the other items that cluttered it - wallet, pack of tissues, a worrying amount of receipts from Katya’s food truck. It was as she stuck the charger into her phone that the screen lit up, revealing a notification that made Pearl’s heart skip a beat.
It was a text from Scarlet.
Thoroughly jolted awake, Pearl scrambled to sit up and open the text, her thumbs impatiently tapping the screen as she waited for it to open. She bit her lip once it did, her wide eyes reading the text with more concentration than she’d ever read anything before.
SCARLET: Starbucks at 12. I’m bringing Yvie.

Next bae in the minor character series: Lady Diaspro Iend-do Drogo, of the Duchy of Isis.
What a mouthful of a title 😅 More on her in my AU below!
Krystal | Diaspro | Mirta | Galatea | Nova | Miele
Diaspro is largely the same entitled person she was in canon, who paid dearly for her callous hunger for status and security.
Like most royals and nobility on Manubra 47, Diaspro grew up in almost complete isolation because of the Bello Sicarii ragin on amongst them (referenced here). Though the same societal constraints shackled her and Sky, their lives couldn’t have been any more different. Not being nearly as important as the crown-prince, Diaspro’s life was never in as much danger until her affiliation with Sky got publicly known. She is just a daughter of a Duke, of the magic society of Eraklyon to top it off, there is no gain to befall anyone by harming her. She has literally nothing in her hand.
The bane of Diaspro’s existence in sexism, that has put ugly limitations on her life and poisoned her mind. See, despite being nobility, Diaspro knew from the day on that she fully realised she was a girl, what that meant, how society saw her and, what her prospects were. Her elder brother was the heir of the Duchy, once he married Diaspro would lose all comforts of her life and be left with nothing in a society that both hated women and distrusted magic users. The engagement to Sky was like a lifeline that she shaped her personality on. Without ever having met him, the idea of Sky, then Sky himself became the only possession in life Diaspro could have. She became so obsessed with the idea of becoming Queen Mother that any attack on the feeble engagement and Sky felt like an attack on her self. Absolutely furious, she sought to get Bloom out of her way, who in her eyes shared nothing of her trouble and was undeserving of the social benefit being with Sky granted. When people found out Bloom was the heir to the Dominian throne, her convictions solidified.
Absolutely jealous and shortsighted, she let herself be talked into subterfuge by the charismatic stranger who revealed himself to be Valtor later. He ended up using her status and privileges on the planet to get wherever he wanted to and weaken the country and the planet politically. When he possessed Sky, Diaspro briefly saw the light and tried to back out of the deal, only to be blackmailed and terrorised to follow the witcher’s plans. There would be no way back for her only forwards, and Diaspro had no other choice but to believe him.
After Valtor’s downfall at the hand of the Winx, his hold on Eraklyon lifted and Diaspro was sentenced to prison, then lifetime indebtedness to the crown along with other accomplices tried with her. Her family turned from her and she spent a year at a juvenile prison (age of maturity on Eraklyon is 20 and Diaspro was only 18), trying to appeal the sentence. On the account that her magical education was unfinished, she was released to attend the Eraklyon institute as part of her rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Since she was young, it was believed she could change and work as a functioning member of society. For her diploma, she had to repeat a year of the four year course she had been previously on, before moving onto her final year in the S6 timeline of the AU.
She is at the Institute when the Trix and Selena come to Eraklyon demanding justice for the exterminated witch communities there. Always slinky and a survivalist at heart, she takes the Trix’s offer to be welcomed at their side as witches with a few other students. She is intrigued by the prospect of hearing about what history has been lying about, as after her incarceration, her trust in the system is shaken. She gets rescued by the Winx and has a heart-to-heart with a pretty banged up Bloom in which they decide to let bygones be bygones. They will never be good friends, but they are a far cry form being teen enemies too. Diaspro is ready to move on from Sky and deeply regrets falling for the promise of power, now that it ruined her life. Bloom in turn assures her that Valtor used Diaspro, she shouldn’t feel guilt for the things he did.
Other than this, Diaspro also mends her relationship with Sky, who is a lot more reluctant to forgive her not being as familiar with Valtor’s manipulation tactics. He kind of assumed Diaspro snapped out of the blue, and blinded by his privilege he never realised what position society had forced her into that lead to it. After his amnesia he had to re-learn a lot of things about himself and his life and after the S6 events that included occasionally writing letters with Diaspro. Diaspro herself used it to gain closure in the sense of “wow, he really never was worth it, I never would have wanted to stay married to him”.  It plays out fine, they grow into pleasant acquaintances.
Diaspro’s biggest character flaw, that she was absolutely unchecked because she neither had friends her age, nor adults that cared for her that she trusted eventually gets mended by the connections she makes in prison and at her new school. Though she will never be able to repeal her punishment and spends the rest of her life working for the government, she is able to build a fulfilling life and do the right thing when needed.
Diaspro comes from a long heritage of fairies, her parents belonging to the fairy court of Eraklyon, so choosing her stream was a no brainer. For her early education she was homeschooled, both for empirical studies and for magic. Unlike the Winx, Diaspro uses the Eraklyon power scaling of transformations (or just generally known as the Regular Tree, the one that is not the Alfea Tree). Her fairy transformation is her forever form - its appearance will change as she matures, but that will not make it a new form as it still uses her internal magic core. Diaspro’s power over gemstones and semi-precious minerals doesn’t lend itself to combative magic, so she never had any need for Enchantix. She didn’t really consider a career in magic either, so she specialised with a practical application in mind. Briefly switching to witchcraft showed her that magi-geology is actually much more suited for that stream, but after metabolising the curse and going back to fey magic, she never considers it again.
Her aspect as Fairy of Gemstones allow Diaspro to manipulate extracted stones to her liking like a jeweller would, but also trace mineral deposits under the earth and either transport raw gems to the surface without altering much, or terraform the hell out of a mine. It’s up to her how invasive she wants to be with the extraction. She is even able to detect mineral dust in food, cosmetic preparations and poisons. Decorative dusting with real gems like the Pyrite Dusting on Solaria are actually her worst nightmare, as like Flora can sense plants around her, Diaspro can sense every shard and a room full of glittered up people gives her migraines for days.

BETWEEN SEASON 3 AND SOTLK
Bloom begins her search for her parents.
Locates Hagan.
SECRET OF THE LOST KINGDOM
Girls find Hagan, who made the sword Oritel wields(it’s also connected directly to Marion’s core magic which is how she like, “possess” it).
Winx minus Bloom graduate from Alfea.
Bloom is sad on earth but less time is spent on that than in the movie lol.
Bloom talks with Daphne in her dreams again
Daphne has spent the last two seasons searching for the lingering connection to their parents and has managed to re-ignite it.
This triggers the witchs’ spirits in Obsidian and they pull Mandragora out of stasis and send her out to find the source.
Bloom turns 21, party, group leaves for Domino.
The whole Roc thing is unnecessary but Musa is my fave so it stays.
Library
Book of Fate is a book of collected Prophecies from Magic users of Domino.
Riven is stung by Mandragora’s insect and a sleeper spell is placed on him(can’t be detected unless active).
They don’t go to pixie village as they can literally just go to Obsidian without a random key.
The sleeper spell in Riven is activated, trying to keep everybody out of Obsidian but being familiar with mind control he manages to resist it enough to send the girls through to obsidian before he loses control.
Musa stays behind, protecting the boys from Mandragora while they talk Riven back to himself.
Musa is still injured but by Mandragora, Riven latches on to this long enough to deck Mandragora and remove her hold on him.
The rest of the Winx push through the horrors of Obsidian and find their way to a small patch of stability where the ancestrals have tied their spirits.
The girls are drained, and eventually only Bloom is left standing because of the dragon flame.
Daphne manages to conjure her own spirit and “possesses” Bloom’s body, they take the sword and are able to stab the objects the ancestral witches’ spirits are tied to, defeating them for the time being(they’ve been in Obsidian long enough to have mutated into something more than spirits tho).
Look I’m sorry I love Sky but he doesn’t save the day, the prophecy about the king with out a crown was translated from ancient Dominian and “king” was a gender neutral term and actually refers to DAPHNE. WHO IS THE RIGHTFUL RULER OF DOMINO WITH HER PARENTS OUT OF THE PICTURE.
Together Bloom and Daphne pull their people back onto the planet and heal a small portion of it(the planet continues to recover as people populate the areas again)
Bloom’s enchantix is complete now.
The ancestral witches’ leave obsidian as part of the pull, and are drawn to the trix because of their blood connection
MAGICAL ADVENTURE
yes it takes place before season 4.
Bloom and her parents re-establish Domino and begin to rebuild.
Sky goes to help, and asks to begin courting Bloom, who misinterprets this as a marriage proposal and she’s not happy about it like in the film, ok like she is happy but is also like “UMMM. I HAVE A LOT GOING ON RN IDK ABOUT THIS SKY” but she accepts and the media run with the story.
Bloom and the Winx return to Alfea as esteemed alumni to welcome the new freshmen.
Trix attack, and steal the magic compass from the Alfea Vaults.
They find the Tree of Magic in Pixie Village and begin setting up for their spell.
Sky tells his father about his Courtship with Bloom, who expresses his guilt over Domino(he doesn’t forbid Sky from marrying Bloom because Erendor isn’t an asshole he’s just traumatised lmao).
Sky and Erendor plan to tell the Domino Royal Family about what happened.
Oritel is, understandably upset by his friend breaking a promise, and when Sky tries to explain Eraklyan Courtship customs to Bloom, Oritel lashes out and overreacts, banishing both Erendor and Sky from Domino.
Bloom thinks Sky broke up with her, and in classic Bloom fashion runs back to Earth
She’s joined by the rest of the Winx shortly.
The Winx go to Eraklyon to figure out whats happening and Erendor tells them about Havram
the Winx + the boys want to fix the city and figure that would at least help Eraklyon even if Oritel is still upset.
The trix finally have their spell ready and bind the tree of magic before destroying it
Binding the greater population’s magic usage through the tree’s connection to them(they leave their own magic intact somehow).
However, the ancestrals warn them that there’s a secondary source for the tree of life.
The ancestrals harnessed the Tree of Life’s power originally to threaten Erendor, wrecking the old capital city of Havram with a blast of magic.
The blast took root in the city and is still there.
The Winx lose their magic on the way to Havram, and start freaking out(Nabu is also freaking out but the rest of the boys are p chill with it since they don’t use magic anyways).
The Trix and the Winx+ find the sprout at the same time and in the process of defending/evading the trix’s magic, Icy hits the sprout and sends a shockwave through to the original tree, rejuvenating it and releasing the binding spell.
Oritel shows up after processing his emotions and saves Erendor.
The Ancestral’s are enraged, and forcibly possess the Trix.
The winx transform and fight, eventually using a combo of Dragon Flame, Oritel’s sword, and convergence to push the ancestrals out of the trix and finally destroy their spirits for good.
The trix are sent to prison again.
Oritel and Erendor apologize to each other and become friends again(brotp 4lyfe yo).
Sky explains everything to Bloom who fully understands Ereklyan courtship/marriage now and is MUCH more comfortable with the situation.
Havram is still kind weird and won’t be Eraklyon’s capital, but with the sprout/ancestral magic gone there’s less unstable magic and people can move back or restart their lives there.
SEASON 4 BEGINNING
Musa and Riven have started dating.
Aisha and Nabu are official.
The winx are invited back to Alfea to speak at a special seminar(they’re not full time teachers but Faragonda proposes the idea to them for the future).
Wizards of the Black circle finally rejoin Earth after taking a break and detect fairy magic lingering in Gardenia.
Wizards of the Black attack Bloom at Alfea.
Her dragon flame prevents her magic from being absorbed into the circle.
Faragonda tells the Winx about Earth’s true history(Bloom didn’t know, but the rest of the winx kinda knew a little)
Bloom insists they go after them to stop them from harming Earth anymore.
Faragond suggests they go to the Tree of magic to see if there are any allies they could find already on Earth.
The tree has faded flowers (The imprisoned Earth fairies and Eldora who has hidden herself from magic detection), and a new bud (Roxy).
The winx aren’t able to find the current location of the magic users so they set up in Gardenia and find jobs through Bloom’s family connections,
Flora and Stella start making magic trinkets and such on the side to sell online.
WORLD OF WINX SEASON 1
Neverland had been pushed into a warped pocket dimension by the Wizards of the Black Circle when they launched their first attack, and has begun to fall apart and mutate.
Bella Tinker, the Major Fairy of Dreams, connected to the source of dreams, subconscious mind, and night, on Neverland(sister source to Tir Nan Og’s), is desperate and operating in a complete mental break.
She begins using her dream abilities to seek out people with weird “talents”(remnants of magic) and pull them into Neverland so they can maybe help her.
She can’t transfer them through to Neverland physically, but she steals their consciousness, this process turns the person’s magical potential into “dream dust”.
She eventually leeches enough dream dust from her victims to create a few hourglasses that can allow a Neverlander to manifest in the real dimension for a limited amount of time.
This makes gathering more dream dust easier as when the person’s consciousness is pulled through to Neverland some of it gets left behind irl.
The Winx get internships for a talent/human interest show that and they begin searching earth for people that stand out in the hopes it will lead them to the last magic user.
Tecna(in HR and tech) notices that a few of the applicants to the show start to drop off the radar, she does some digging and finds out that all of them have gone into mysterious comas.
The Winx begin to suspect a magic source of these issues.
They get Tecna to select Anabelle partially as a ruse because they can actually monitor her in Gardenia.
Unfortunately Anabelle goes into a coma, the winx are the first to find her, and she is surrounded by a fine golden dust, a figure is collecting the dust before running off.
The Winx follow, and are very unstable in the pocket dimension.
They are unable to rescue Anabelle’s consciousness, and when the hourglass runs out of time, they are forced back into the normal dimension.
This happens a few times.
Each Winx earns Dreamix by forging a true connection with someone’s “dreams”(Bloom with Annabelle, Tecna with Naoki, Stella with Sophie, Flora with Vincenzo, Musa with Madelyne, Aisha with Silke)
most of the other events with Bloom and Jim happen same as in canon except Jim is way more sketchy.
Silke fixes their hourglass and the winx are able to enter Neverland without being unstable.
They defeat Bella, who retreats to her magical source.
Jim stays behind to gain power and his crew, and the Earthians are returned to earth with only minor mutations.
The release of so much potential magical power makes the walls between Neverland and the Magix Dimension much thinner, allowing some of the Neverland inhabitants easier passage to Earth.
Outsiders however still cannot enter Neverland without suffering mutations and deteriorations(unless they have dreamix or unconscious magic skills).
SEASON 4: THE REST OF IT
After the WOW show ended the girls need new jobs to pay rent and shit(Stella is on a firm allowance, Bloom’s kingdom is still super broke, and Aisha’s assets are mostly in jewels that don’t translate to earth lmao)
They’re still hiding their fairy identities.
Flora uses her nature magic with stuffed animals to create small “living” fairy pets(they’re just plushies being moved around by plant bones and stuff) and the girls start selling them online(like etsy) along with other magic trinkets.
The other girls also get jobs and they eventually have enough to pay rent on a small shop with a few rooms above it.
They start a magic shop full time and are selling the plant-plushes full time, offering other services as well.
Carmen (background character in the show more important in the comics) approaches them at this time to help Tecna manage the website part.
Bloom and Andy reunite and are invited to the Frutti Music Bar.
Bloom and Roxy start talking and become friends.
The specialists arrive and find the winx.
Andy (who is hella gay) and Bloom are fairly affectionate and Sky gets real jealous.
Musa is talking music with Marc and Rio but Riven is hella insecure and gets irritated as well.
The wizards show up and they fight over the wrong girl.
Riven gets a job at the mechanic
Timmy gets his IT support job
Helia gets a HORRIBLE haircut and regrets everything.
The thing with Mitzi happens, Brandon and Stella fight briefly but make up.
Tecna reports someone downloading a ton of the plant-plushes.
The girls paint their apartment with Roxy, Andy, Marc, and Rio.
Sky and Riven become upset again because fragile masculinity.
The girls finally realize Roxy is the fairy they’re looking for and try to convince her to believe in magic and all.
Roxy is like “the fuck are yall ON im noping outta here so fast” but also weird shit is happening to her so she’s like “what if?????”.
The wizards find her and try to force her into the black circle.
Roxy, scared out of her mind is knocked out of the circle by Bloom, who knows her Dragon flame protects her.
Roxy runs, Artu leads her to safety and she adopts a cat, she also has a vision of Morgana urging her to trust herself and the fairy girls.
Roxy emerges from hiding and tries to go home, but Artu is replaced by Duman who alerts his fellow wizards.
The winx, severely beaten, send an emergency call out to the specialists, who show up and manage to keep the wizards away from Roxy for a little while.
Roxy, cornered and scared, sees what she thought was her dog turn into Duman who grabs her, the real Artu attacks Duman but is knocked to the side.
Roxy releases Panic Magic forcing Duman back and Bloom rushes in forcing him further away from Roxy.
Roxy puts her absolute trust into Bloom at that moment and Bloom gains Believix.
Bloom is able to really deal damage, the winx are refusing to give up, and the specialists are ready to rip them to shreds so the wizards mount a tactical retreat.
Roxy accepts her heritage.
Roxy investigates her photo’s looking for clues, finds the farm.
Winx go to farm followed by wizards.
Batson is trying to restore the farm to a working level after it had been left abandoned for several years.
He doesn’t want the winx there, but Flora forms a tentative friendship with him through plant talk.
The Wizards attack, Batson is protected by Flora.
The winx send Roxy into the barn to hide, the horses inside are unsettled and she unconsciously uses some of her magic to calm them, alerting the wizards who set fire to the barn and orchard to trap her.
Batson freaks, and runs into the barn to let the horses out.
Roxy finds a small trap door in the floor of the barn and opens it, her touch sparks off the white circle which begins glowing and she runs outside, summons birds and insects to attack the wizards who can’t penetrate the shield the white circle is creating and they retreat.
Batson is about to pass out but Flora comes in and shields him from the flames.
Batson is in tears, all of his hard work has gone up in flames.
Flora sits down and talks with him, reminding him that nature is enduring, and seeds that are cared for will always grow.
Flora can’t do anything about the barn but she does restore Batson’s Orchard, Batson is hopeful and puts his faith in her magic and Flora gains Believix.
Musa sings with Andy and his band and they all receive a card from Jason Queen.
Musa starts to spend a lot of time with the band practicing for their auditions.
Nabu and Helia try to help Riven work through his feelings.
Sky and Bloom talk and make up.
Roxy is possessed by Nebula through the white circle and tries to go after the wizards.
The winx end up fighting Roxy and the girls who are using Enchantix use the fairy dust to remove the effects of the white circle from her.
The winx start to be local heros in Gardenia.
Mitzi Sally and Darma are recruited by the wizards early and are used as spies.
Riven can’t move past his insecurity and lashes out at Musa after her audition.
Musa decides to break up with him.
Musa and the band start training with Jason’s company, and the friendships Musa forms with the band only makes the situation with Riven worse.
The wizards try to capitalize on this by setting a fire in Gardenia while the band is hard core practicing because they’re concerned Jason will drop them.
Musa uses her singing spells to reach and protect the band who place their faith in her and she’s able to earn believix.
Aisha is concerned Nabu is withdrawing from her.
She meets with Cindy(minor character in the show bigger in the comics) who is interested in working at the shop.
The girls hire her but Cindy’s (abusive) boyfriend Gregory is hanging around the store causing issues.
Aisha tells him to leave but he gets angry and pulls Cindy out with him, Aisha chases after them.
She interferes before Gregory can hurt Cindy and just fucking decks him(because Aisha).
Cindy breaks up with Gregory and spends the night with the winx.
Aisha confides in Cindy about her worries about Nabu, but Cindy assures her Nabu sounds wonderful.
Aisha encourages Cindy and tells her she deserves someone better than Gregory.
The wizards of the black circle try to capitalize on the situation again and they grant Gregory power.
The shop is attacked and Aisha protects Cindy.
When Gregory corners them, Aisha tells Cindy to run, but Cindy has had a little boost in her self esteem and wants to protect her new friend.
She displays a small burst of magic, which distracts Gregory.
Cindy puts her faith in Aisha and she earns Believix.
Nabu proposes and all is well.
Roxy is kidnapped and transforms for the first time in front of her dad(he remains aware of their fairy activity the whole time).
That weird fight at the train station happens.
Weird thing with the tiger cub doesn’t happen.
Mitzi Sally and Darma are tired of being minions and try to leave the wizards, who don’t take that kindly and force them to start attacking people(Mitzi might be a bitch but she’s not evil).
The other girls take on Sally and Darma, who don’t have a lot of animosity towards them anyways.
But Mitzi, in her controlled state, is just projecting all her rage and jealousy onto Stella.
Stella manages to relate and empathize with Mitzi’s need to be liked and removes the Wizard’s spell with her enchantix dust.
Mitzi trusts Stella to catch her as she falls and Stella earns Believix.
Tecna hides the white circle in the shop’s computer.
Carmen accidentally activates the same program and is transported to the virtual world.
The wizards transport themselves in as well, and go after Carmen assuming she knows something.
Tecna receives an alert from an alarm in the shop that the magic signatures of the wizards were registered.
They rush back and are planning to pull the white circle then lock the virtual world to trap the wizards but Tecna realizes Carmen is inside too.
Tecna volunteers to go get her and the white circle while the rest of the group delay the wizards.
Tecna grabs the circle and finds Carmen and explains vaguely what’s going on.
Carmen, who is not stupid and has realized the programs and technology that Tecna uses could not possibly be from earth, demands the truth.
Tecna is about to comply when Ogron shows up.
Tecna says she can’t explain now but she will later, and hands Carmen the white circle and tells her to run.
Carmen doesn’t completely know what's going on but despite this she puts her entire faith in Tecna, believing she has complete control over the virtual world and will fix everything.
Tecna gains Believix and subdues Ogron. She goes after Carmen and the wizards and the rest of the winx show up at the same time.
The coding Tecna used can’t handle the volatile magical energy in one space and begins to corrupt, Tecna realizes they’re out of time and just transports them all out before the file becomes irreparable.
In the shop with the specialists and Roxy potentially using the white circle the Wizards flee.
Riven makes some steps towards being a better person.
The girls form a band(Musa lead vocals+guitar, Aisha drums, Tecna on Synth, Flora on keys, Stella on a weird harp thing occasionally but mostly stage outfits and contacts, Bloom manages the schedule and does all the graphic design).
The girls go to Tir Nan Og, unlock the Earth fairies.
Morgana wants Roxy to join them and continually pesters her telepathically.
The winx’s believix aren’t able to match the Earth Fairies using Danix.
Faragonda contacts the Ethereal Fairies and they deign to intercede.
The earth fairies begin to systematically remove all of the binds the wizards placed on the natural sources of Earth, releasing ambient magic back into earth and greatly diminishing the wizard’s magical reserves.
Diana also attacks major cities, turning them into urban jungles, this is the most present threat to humanity so the winx tackle her first.
Bloom and Tecna use Sophix to defeat Diana and rejuvenate her source, Diana joins them.
The wizards approach the winx in surrender and are taken to Sybilla.
Aurora begins to slowly freeze the Earth over, demanding the Wizards be given to them.
Stella and Musa use Amorix to function in the cold.
Bloom fights Nebula.
They return to Sybilla.
Morgana, convinced by Roxy, accepts the Wizard’s surrender and promises a fair trial and sentencing.
The Winx minus Flora and the Wizards minus Duman travel to Tir Nan Og.
Flora returns with the Specialists and Duman to Gardenia, she tries to heal him, but his magic is too unstable and the whole fight thing happens
Duman is killed, but he mentioned something about the wizards’ schemes before he died, leading Flora to accept Aterix, and pull him back to life.
She compels him to to tell them all what the plan is and then they all rush off to Tir Nan Og.
Morgana has put on the black circle ring, it self destructs and turns into a magical black hole(like a tiny obsidian).
Nabu, as the only practiced male magic user, absorbs all the magic in the vortex, he is unfortunately unable to expel the magic fast enough causing his core to break and Nabu dies.
Aisha is understandably distraught, and uses Aterix, trying to get him back.
In the commotion the Wizards manage to grab Duman, and Flora after they realize they’re connected and escape to Omega.
As things die down Nebula holds her whole rebellion and traps Morgana in the Mirror, and the Winx realize Flora is missing.
Aisha is trying to interact with Nabu, and is in denial about his state of suffering so she defaults to anger and joins Nebula in hunting the Wizards down.
Meanwhile, the wizards have managed to force Flora to de-transform, leaving Duman in his resurrected state.
Roxy is able to sense Morgana through their telepathic(and familial) connection and frees Morgana finally being revealed as her daughter.
Morgana is weakened and promises to care for Nabu, and they pursue the fairies and the Wizards to Omega to rescue Flora and talk Aisha down from murder.
Flora(mistakenly) isn’t considered a threat by the wizards so they just kind of leave her to freeze, not realizing she has put a special pollen on them that acts as a slow poison.
Flora is found by the winx and they manage to talk Nebula and Aisha down.
The wizards attempt to run again but Flora’s poison has left them dissorinted, powerless, and unable to escape being frozen for eternity(including Duman) by the ice snake thing.
Roxy pulls Nebula with them, being able to connect with her after feeling her rage and pain during the brief possession.
Aisha, still in Aterix, returns with a clearer head, and recognizes she can’t leave him Nabu in a constant state of suffering, so she removes the Aterix spell from Nabu and returns him to his natural state.
Aisha takes Nabu’s body back to Andros.
Morgana appoints Nebula, Diana, Aurora, and Sybilla as joint regents and tutors until Roxy has been sufficiently trained to take the throne(Roxy privately thinks this is a big yikes).
The winx decide to stay and help Earth adjust to magic and continue their band, but leave the Love and Magic store to Carmen and Cindy.
WORLD OF WINX SEASON 2
The whole thing with Venomya is about the same except for the fairy reveal so I’m not gonna mention it.
Wendy Darling was Bella Tinker’s wife, their son was Peter Pan(and the rest of the Lost Boys).
Wendy was a non-magic user outside of Neverland when it vanished, and in trying to rescue Bella and the boys, Wendy pushed her untrained magic too far and the blow back caused her to short circuit and slowly lose her memories and distort what was left of her magic(similar to Morgana).
She did manage to somehow pull Peter out, with serious memory loss and he was in a coma for decades.
Wendy looked after him the whole time, moving them around to avoid suspicion.
When Peter woke up he and Wendy created lives for themselves but are haunted by the feeling that something is WRONG.
Wendy is currently using the alias Matilda or “mattie” and has disappeared, Peter has no memory of Neverland or magic but keeps his name and is studying art at the school in Paris.
Jim likes the power he has on the Isolated Neverland, and wants to permanently get rid of Bella so he can have the place to himself but knows he’s not powerful enough.
He starts attacking natives of the island, and blaming Bella (who is technically still in power but has retreated to her source).
The inhabitants of Neverland begin to reach out to the winx, who are starting to gather some fame world wide as fairies and a band.
The winx enter Neverland, and Jim tells them his version of what’s happening, then tells them about Bella’s past and that maybe her family could be hostages could talk some sense into her.
The winx agree, and leave to visit Morgana to see if she knows anything about Wendy.
Morgana tells them she found Wendy immediately after she managed to pull Peter out but none of her other family members.
Morgana offered to take Wendy and Peter to Tir Nan Og, but Wendy rejects her offer and leaves, saying she’s going to protect her son on her own.
Morgana doesn’t know what happened to them after that as she set Tir Nan Og up as a sanctuary and was then imprisoned.
Bella forms Vertigo.
The Winx try to search for Peter, using variations of Peter Tinker and Peter Darling.
Tecna gets a hit on a Peter Darling but the information is in a census from the 1600’s in London so the girls head out there to get a look at the actual paper to see if there is any more information.
They find a short message written by a suspicious authority figure next to the name noting that Peter Darling moved to Paris to live with his “Aunt” shortly after the census despite not registering any family members.
Vertigo has been wearing Bloom down the whole trip and attacks/is defeated.
Bloom’s Dreamix seems to start evolving/mutating after this.
The girls move on to France, to find the aunt.
Banshee begins to layer whispers into Musa’s music, leading her to become jumpy and irritable.
Jim gets a message out to the girls that he and his crew are being attacked(in reality Jim has trapped the alligator man and provoked the Crocodile man and is getting the Winx to take care of his own mess).
In France Musa breaks off from the group trying to get some alone time to cure her bad mood.
Musa ends up in Notre Dame drawn to a choir practice, she starts talking with a stranger there who is sketching the architecture and people, she compliments his work and they begin a light conversation before he stands and says he has to go as he’s late for a night class.
Musa sees that his notebook has Peter Darling and a school name written on the corner but the choir becomes sharply off key and distorted, Musa grimaces in pain and he leaves before she can say anything.
Musa tries to go after him but every sound she hears is distorted and painful, she tries to call the other girls but only leaves a short message before Banshee launches one of her screams at her.
After the girls take care of the alligator and crocodile man Aisha hears from Tressa about some weird readings concerning the ocean gate.
Aisha says it's possible the gate had been used but the guardian would know, Tressa says the guardian hasn’t reported anything.
Aisha asks Jim if Neverland has any merfolk trapped on the island.
He says they did, but they disappeared recently.
Musa defeats Banshee, Her Dreamix also starts to change.
Bloom and Stella welcome the others back and hear about the mermaids disappearing and Peter being in Paris at some school.
Aisha is concerned about the mermaids as Neverland could have mutated them badly, so they prioritize that, following the trail of magic the merms have left behind.
Fountain thing, then to pool party.
Stella confronts them but is triggered and has a panic attack as the merms manipulate the crowd into laughing at her.
Aisha quickly gets a message to Alligator and Crocodile to scare the crowd off, leaving the merms to flee, eventually they are caught/saved and believe the winx are trying to help them, Aisha sends them to Andros to get them physical help and merfolk community.
The winx focus on finding Matt and Stella suggests they start with the Fashion school where they already have contacts.
Some of the winx go to Neverland to help the pirates.
Stella is still fragile and helps people around the school trying to get her confidence back but she and Aisha get into a fight which just makes Stella feel worse.
Stella visits Nadine and Sophie and hears about Matt, but the lights in the room go out and Nadine and Sophie suddenly start to ridicule Stella and then ignore her, like she’s invisible.
Stella rushes out to try to find Aisha and Tecna but it seems like no one can even see her.
Aisha and Tecna find Stella crying in an empty class room and try to get her to calm down when Obscura attacks.
Stella defeats Obscura, and her Dreamix starts to change.
Peter is kidnapped.
Flora rescues the Pirates with the help of the nature on the island and they all return to help track down Peter and his kidnapper.
Peter is rescued and tells them he has no idea where his mother(wendy) is, as she disappeared almost 30 years ago, only leaving him a small wooden puzzle.
Peter takes them to his apartment to let Tecna analyze the puzzle, where the winx see that he has been painting the same woman over and over again.
Stella asks if he’s in love with her.
Peter laughs and says no, explaining he doesn’t know why he keeps painting her but feels like she’s important.
The winx explain everything about Neverland and his mother and try to use magic to help him memory return, Peter quickly becomes distraught and confused, his memory and the truth are fighting in his brain.
Peter lashes out with a small wave of magic.
It hits the puzzle Tecna is messing with and unlocks it.
Peter quiets and picks up the piece of paper from inside the puzzle.
Peter reads the paper aloud and is pulled through a portal.
Peter flashes to several locations, the spell fizzles and he’s in Neverland.
Bella sees him and almost recognizes him, Peter sees her and tries to call out before being pulled back into the portal.
He’s finally dropped into a ravine with a small shack a few yards away.
Bella is confused, angry, and terribly sad, but can’t remember why.
She redirects her emotions into creating another Nemesis and names it Petra.
Peter approaches the shack as he’s surprised by his kidnapper, the kidnapper triggers some kind of trap, creating a rock/tree monster and he flees with Peter.
The winx try using their spells to find him individually but the trail of magic left by the spell is all over the place.
Flora decides to focus on the wooden puzzle, tracing its origin and how it was formed.
Her spell finds that the magic that created the puzzle is currently active, and it reacts with her spell, pulling her through the same portal until she materializes next to the rock/tree monster chasing Peter and the kidnapper.
Flora disassembles the rock/tree monster, and trips the kidnapper as he tries to flee breaking his amulet.
Peter tells Flora about the shack, but before they can investigate Petra attacks.
Flora defeats Petra and Stella appears having used the ring of solaria to teleport her to Flora, they return to Paris before anything else can attack them.
Flora’s Dreamix begins to change.
Aisha is suspicious of Peter, claiming he knew about the puzzle and was trying to run away from them.
Peter says it was an accident and he knows nothing about magic.
Aisha decides to train him magically so he isn’t a danger to the rest of the group.
She has zero mercy on him during their first training, and Peter calls her an Iron Maiden.
Bella takes this and creates Metalica, based on every harsh, impatient part of Aisha.
The girls think maybe Jim should train Peter, and see if they can get him an audience with the queen to explain everything.
In Neverland, Jim reminds the girls he doesn’t use magic, only magic items (a lie) and suggests they try to find the witch, Tiger Lily.
Tiger Lily says Peter will never have proper control of his magic unless he finds his memories, which were absorbed into his Compass when he was pulled out of Neverland.
Peter claims he lost that compass when he was pulled out but Tiger Lily gives them an image of it she found through scrying.
After the group returns to Earth, Aisha demands they all go to towns closest to where Neverland used to be to look in antique shops for the compass even though everyone is tired and Tecna is trying to find the thing online.
They try most of the day but are exhausted and Aisha claims she’ll look on her own.
Metallica shows up, and Aisha attacks her. Metallica seems to be destroyed and Aisha reports her success to the rest of the winx.
Metallica shows up again but is defeated this time and Aisha’s Dreamix begins to change.
Flora reminds the Winx about the Shack in the ravine, and they go there,
Tecna doesn’t let anyone go past the boundary line until her spell detection has finished, and places green footprints on the ground, instructing the winx not to step outside of them.
Peter does but nothing happens.
They get into the shack and find Wendy.
Wendy is not in a good place mentally or physically because of her magic blow back, but the winx are able to heal some of it and greatly ease her suffering.
Peter asks Wendy about his compass, Wendy isn’t super coherent but she sold it to someone after “the horrible thing” happened and it was while Peter was still “sleeping”.
Tecna decides to narrow her search to auction houses, but her tech is glitching out, she blames it on the location and says she’ll try again later.
They eventually find a record of a compass being sold to a Sebastian Park in London just a few years ago.
Tecna has been having sparks, overloads, and error messages galore and is starting to lose it a little as they make their way to Sebastian's Estate.
Sebastian isn’t taking any offers on his pieces right now but is happy to show admirers his collection.
The winx get trapped inside due to electrical malfunction, and Virus finally reveals herself, infecting the rest of the winx, and attacks Tecna.
Tecna defeats her and her dreamix begins to change.
Sebastian is a good dude and gives the Compass to Peter and the girls as an apology.
Peter regains his memories and his magic is immediately less troubled.
They return to Neverland, with Wendy who stays with Tiger Lily, and join forces to beat Bella’s Nightmare back.
Peter and Bella meet again, and Peter finally recognizes his mom.
Bella breaks down, her memories and magic still all jumbled, but she stops fighting, the winx explain that with Bella’s help they can probably restore Neverland to Earth.
Jim, seizing his opportunity, takes Wendy captive, proclaims himself king, and demands the winx leave Neverland as it is.
The other inhabitants side with Jim, rejecting Bella’s truce and not knowing he caused most of their problems.
Bella doesn’t remember her but knows Wendy is important and surrenders, she’s caged in the lagoon.
Peter wants to fight Jim and get his moms back.
He has to flee into the forest as the winx are forced out of Neverland.
Peter rescues Bella, but faces off with Jim.
The winx convince the pirates, alligator, crocodile, and tiger lily that Jim is the traitor.
Peter, aided by Bella, rescues Wendy.
Jim flees and corrupts the source of Neverland, trying to hurt Bella.
Smee finally stands up and pushes Jim into the corrupted source, killing him and removing his magic from Neverland.
Neverland is restored, along with Wendy and Bella’s memories.

So they head there as Tritannus + Trix are doing the same thing.
Tritannus “steals” the Source, fights with the selkies and Bloom but escapes.
Winx heal the source of Sirenix, pearls are accepted and the girls get Sirenix.

Daphne’s physical body is restored by a winx sirenix convergence and Sirenix is returned to normal.
BETWEEN SEASON 5 AND 6
Mystery of the abyss happens just before the finale of season 5 but I honestly don’t care enough about this movie to detail it.
SEASON 6
Daphne is having issues with being physical again, Faragonda suggests to have her join Alfea Staff as a way to help her gain confidence and purpose again.
Selina passes the cloud town entrance exam.
Trix return and are powerful enough to be categorized as enchantresses, use soul convergence to over power Griffin and turn her into a crow.
Selina joins them somewhat reluctantly and uses a story from the legendarium to make the school fly.
Winx visit Lynphea with the specialists, meet Nex and Thoren.
Cloud Tower is attacking Lynphea college, Winx find the source of the flying spell, try to attack, but the legendarium just absorbs their magic and binds their cores and they’re knocked back.
Bloom has to hastily spread her power to her friends or else they’ll die without their core magic.
Her dragon fire re-ignites the other girls’ cores and they continue to try to rescue the students at Lynphea College but are forced to retreat to Alfea.
Cloud tower stays over Lynphea college.
Flora sets out on her own to save Miele, and her core metabolizes the dragon flame as she pushes to help her younger sister, spontaneously transforming into Bloomix.
Bloom goes to Domino to help with the coronation and recoup.
Selina sends a swarm of basilisks after the Winx at Alfea
Stella and Aisha use water and light to reflect all the Basilisk's stone gazes, effectively saving all of Alfea (roxy manages to find a rooster because roxy and keeps herself and her dorm-mates safe individually), pushing their cores far enough to metabolize the dragon flame and earning Bloomix.
Faragonda, Daphne, Stella, Aisha, and Flora stay to defend Alfea, but Musa gets an emergency message from Galatea at the Royal Auditorium and convinces Tecna to come with her to help.
The pandemonium sprites are wreaking havoc on the entire school, and Musa starts to loose it after a while because of her sensitive hearing.
Tecna quickly analyses the school and finds the primo spot for sound to carry and calms Musa down long enough for her to start singing.
Tecna pushes the pandemonium sprites back to let musa sing as much as she can, Musa pushes through her panic and the chaotic noise to send and layer her own song into a harmony that destroys the sprites.
their cores metabolizes the dragon flame and they achieve Bloomix.
Diaspro is attending Daphne’s coronation as part of the Eraklyon Royal Party.
Thoren is friendly with Diaspro, which makes Sky a little suspicious of him.
Bloom is a little delirious from magic fatigue and is starting to panic when the Trix attack.
The winx+Daphne+boys are handling the trix and legendarium creatures.
Diaspro tries to calm a panicking Bloom, but she doesn’t trust her and runs off deeper into the Domino Castle.
Disapro grabs Thoren, the only person who hasn’t had a bad experience with her in the past few years, and convinces him to help her find Bloom and take her to the lowest level of the castle.
Sky and Daphne see them with an unconscious Bloom and freak tf out.
Thoren hesitates to throw Bloom into the vortex as Sky and Daphne are yelling at him, but Diaspro knocks Bloom out of his arms, falling into the flames herself as well.
Bloom’s magic is regenerated by the flames and Diaspro evolves into Enchantix.
They both fly out and Diaspro explains that she did her homework before attending the Coronation, and knew she had to get Bloom to the vortex after recognizing the advanced symptoms of magic fatigue in Bloom.
Sky apologizes to Thoren and Diaspro and Daphne thanks them for helping Bloom.
Bloom and Diaspro come to a mutual respect and try to be on better terms in the future.
The Winx return to Alfea to ask Faragonda about the creatures and power of the Legendarium, but Faragonda only knows its a powerful book from Earth and suggests they look for the Lost Library of Alexandria.
Daphne uses this as a teaching opportunity with some of her students and comes with the winx, not knowing three of them have been possessed by the Trix.
The winx find the library, mummies attack, defeat the mummy, have to deal with the Sphinx, Selina is threatened by Acheron and she enters the crumbling library to steal the Diary.
Bloom finds her and is really confused.
Selina lashes out and they fight for a little before Selina drops the diary and Bloom grabs it before escaping the library.
Diary leads them to China, meet Lu Wei who tells them a little about Faragonda’s favorite flower.
The Trix possessed students cause problems back at Alfea, and Selina shows up, lying to Bloom that the Trix captured her and forced her to do things.
Bloom shows Selina around, Flora is attacked in the greenhouse while Selina is distracting Bloom, almost poison her, but Roxy breaks the spell on Griffin who reveals Selina and the possessed students.
Bloom feels guilty and betrayed and goes to rest on Earth, trying to figure out what happened with Selina.
Is looking at childhood keepsakes and realizes the field they used to play in is full of the flower they’re looking for.
Lockette followed Bloom to earth and Selina sends the vampires after the pixie and Bloom
Bloom sends Lockette back to Alfea through one of her portals to get the Winx while she leads the vamps on a chase.
The winx teleport to Earth using the Ring of Solaria, and help Bloom escape the vamps for a short while.
Bloom tells them what she remembered, but they can’t lead the vamps to Eldora and sunrise is still long off.
Stella gets distracted by the Fashion show while the rest of the group is figuring out what to do.
Winx are captured.
Stella dusts the vampires, rescues the girls, and shows in the fashion event.
In the morning they go to Eldora’s cottage.
The trix follow and attack, but Selina is hesitant to attack her mentor even with Acheron berating her.
She summons the easiest to defeat ghosts in the book as a compromise.
Eldora agrees to help with Selina and the legendarium, but says she can’t do much with out her Mythix wand which holds her Core Magic.
The Winx go to Tir Nan Og to ask if Nebula knows anything about the wands.
Since being freed the Major fairies sensed and found each of the wands trying to find their old friends, Eldora can immediately use hers.
The trix use a soul convergence and an item from the Legendarium to attack the Winx, and Selina uses the cover to try and steal a spark of Bloom’s dragon fire.
The winx defeat the Trix and the wands react to the  presence of the legendarium, each choosing one of the winx.
Each time the Legendarium absorbs a magical presence it leaves an anchor in the location, so the Winx go to Calavera to enter the Legendarium World through the anchor point there looking for the Emerald Eyes which are an item instrumental in forming the Legendarium and should help seal it.
Trix enter after them, Selina sets the Pirates on Calavera, Winx pull the eyes from the book and defeat the pirates irl.
Next is the Silver Quill, Winx+boys+Eldora head up to Fearwood to enter the Legendarium from that anchor point.
Selina applies the Snow Queen persona to Icy, and the werewolf curse to the people of Fearwood.
Icy kidnaps Helia, Flora rescues him while the rest of the winx fight off the wolves.
The winx remove the legendarium spell from the people and rest a little before trying to enter the Legendarium world again.
Helia is harsh, cold and aggressive, and Daphne uncovers a frozen shard in his heart left there after Icy threw him into the legendarium world.
Icy shows up to attack again, and freezes the townsfolk, the winx are trying to get everyone to safety but Flora goes right for Icy, she’s knocked down but uses her Bloomix to melt a portion of the forest and get it to fight with her, defeating Icy and all her active spells.
The sliver of ice in Helia’s heart had the Silver Quill in it.
They combine the eyes and the quill, and only need one more item for the legendarium key.
The golden scroll was hidden in the story of the Labyrinith.
Stella is called back to Solaria before they have a chance to get it, and Darcy curses Stella’s Crown and Mirror.
Stella shakes off the mind control with the help of her friends, and goes after Darcy who has retreated to Earth, trying to prevent them from getting the scroll.
Stella defeats Darcy and gets the scroll.
Legendarium key is formed, Trix cloak the tower and Legendarium signature.
Winx go to Zenith to get some tech.
Selina summons frankenstein’s monster who kidnaps Tecna, Stormy attempts to block Tecna from leaving the legendarium.
Musa and some students have been working on a musical protection spell and are almost ready to put it in place, when Selina sends the Sea Witch to steal Musa’s voice.
Selina places the voice in Rumplestiltskin’s collection but the Winx track and find the anchor point, agreeing to trade the legendarium key for Musa’s voice for a short time.
Musa and her students put the protection spell in place at Alfea.
Not being able to do anything against the new protection spell, the existence of the legendarium key, and about to be discovered by tecna’s gizmo, Acheron pushes Selina to duel Bloom, in order to get the spark of dragon flame.
Selina also releases three major fairies from earth as a distraction.
Acheron is released, betrays Selina and the Trix.
Eldora has found the infinity box, and traps Acheron in it.
The winx deal with the fall out from Acheron, while Eldora trades Acheron for the Legendarium Key.
Eldora gives a damaged Selina the key and forgives her for everything she did.
Selina locks the Legendarium, makes up with Bloom, and returns to earth with Eldora.
Thoren and Daphne don’t get married but come out as an official item.
BETWEEN SEASON 6 AND 7
Faragonda asks Roxy to help form the educational side of the Alfea Natural Park. Alfea Natural Park prepares to open to the public.
SEASON 7
Winx are invited to visit the Park pre-opening, Kalshara in bird form comes and kidnaps the last digmole.
Faragonda recognizes Kalshara and tells the winx+roxy how they were classmates in the past and that she had something to do with the digmole’s disappearances in the past.
The winx earn Chronix, Roxy receives a Stone of Memories tied to Bloom, which allows her to follow the winx into the past with out earning Chronix herself.
The winx go back in time and eventually resort to taking all the digmoles before Kalshara can get to them, bringing them to the present.
They also discovered Kalshara’s goal is to control all wild magic and is trying to find the manifestation of the fairy animal’s source, said to be a fairy animal itself.
The digmoles, through Roxy, are able to tell the girls about the source and that some fairy animal types are given a riddle when they’re formed, and pass the riddle of the creature with the first color of the universe on to them.
The winx try to find it in the park, Brafilius steals Roxy’s stone of memories.
The winx go to the past to find the cry cries, Brafilius follows them.
Aisha bonds with Squonk and transforms into Faunix when the girls return to the present with Squonk who has revealed the cry cry is not the animal the girls are looking for.
Roxy has been keeping an eye out for where Brafilius and Kalshara might target next.
The girls go to Lynphea where Kalshara has manipulated a natural source into a wild one, the winx aren’t able to reverse it but they do get all the magiwolves out of the area, Flora bonds with Amarok and obtains Faunix.
The winx go back in time again with Brafilius following them, to see if the Quillcat is the fairy animal’s manifested source.
Musa bonds with Critty and obtains Faunix.
Brafilius fails to get to critty so Kalshara kidnaps the cat.
The winx find Kalshara and Brafilius and free the rest of the fairy animals,
Stella bonds with Shiny.
Roxy learns the sumatran tigers are in danger and defeats the poachers herself, starting a campaign against poaching on earth.
Brafilius and Kalshara head to Zenith to capture a techuirrel, thinking they’ve been around long enough to be the animal the riddle was talking about.
The winx follow, Tecna repairs Zenith’s core as much as she can and bonds with Flitter.
The girls are noticing that while Faunix gives them the ability to withstand wild magic and defend against it, they can’t fix much if the source is wild magic.
Faragonda starts to prepare them all for earning Tynix.
Roxy’s animal telegram system reports a threat to a panda sanctuary on Earth.
Roxy heads to earth to deal with it and Bloom tags along in-case it’s Kalshara(and because she feels useless).
Bloom bonds with Elas and in Faunix is able to defend against his over-done exposure to wild magic long enough for him to become stable again(fairy animals aren’t immune to wild magic and if exposed again after first forming can suffer consequences).
The girls form their Fractix bracelets.
Roxy gets animal messages about Kalshara and Brafilius threatening dragons on Pyros.
Kalshara has damaged the source of natural magic on Pyros, turning it Wild, she demands to know the winx’s information or she’ll destroy the source completely.
The winx can’t defeat her in Faunix but Kalshara leaves after wrecking the source.
The winx then have to transform into Fractix for the first time to fix the source’s flow of wild/natural magic.
Brafilius pulls the same stunt in Paradise Bay hoping to please his crazy sister.
Kalshara and Brafilius head to the Graynor ruins, figuring the creature of the Rainbow Mantle(from season 5) has every color on it, and its powerful enough to be the fairy animal source’s physical form.
The winx follow, and use their Fractix powers in combination with the Creature of the Rainbow Mantle and are finally able to actually defeat Kalshara in a head-to-head battle.
Kalshara wrecks a few sources on earth and send Brafilius to annoy them while she buys them more time to find the fairy animal source.
Kalshara finally finds a connection to Wild Magic in the Ying Yang Diamond.
In doing so, She accidentally frees the Trix from an eternal slumber spell placed on them by Acheron, Kalshara has enough fairy animals held captive again that the Trix each find one their core resonates with.
The trix take advantage of this, transform into Faunix, and steal the diamond from Kalshara.
The winx bring Faragonda her bonded Digmole back.
The trix show up at Alfea to take revenge on the winx, using the diamond to corrupt the heart of Alfea.
The Winx are able to fix it by going back in time with chronix for information and they defeat the Trix with Faunix.
Kalshara shows up with Brafilius.
Brafilius gets his hands on the diamond which reacts badly to the mismash of wild magic in his body and and it drags him to Swan Cave which is thought to just be a normal cave on Magix.
The Winx and Kalshara follow him, and have a brief not-quite-alliance to get Brafilius out from under the diamond’s control.
But Kalshara seizes it from him and uses it in combination with her wild magic, summoning the Fairy Animal Source to her.
All of the winx’s fairy animals (plus a couple other) appear in the cave and merge together, forming a monstrosity that looks something not NOT swan like.
The Infinity Swan, as Bloom nicely dubs it(every one else calls it the infinity THING), smites Kalshara, informs the winx it should not be formed again, consumes the Ying Yang Diamond and bursts into its separate animal components.
Later when discussing it, the winx discover each of them saw the infinity thing as a different color (and the riddle was functionally useless as color is all subjective tecna informs them) but agree the infinity thing was a being never intended to exist and that the ethereals probably separated it the first time it formed.
Brafilius stays with the fairy animals in Swan Cave for a while, while Roxy and Flora work on finding a cure for him.

[Here we go lads, we've gotten to the first film]
This opening song is highkey a bop
Oh no nononono they did this in 3D animation??? Gotta be honest, I'm already not a fan and I haven't even seen their faces
Oh yep their faces are SO CURSED
WHY WOULD YOU USE 3D YOU HAD A PERFECTLY CUTE 2D ARTSTYLE
Oh they just jumped into an abandoned castle like ninjas
See you all have new voice actors so I have NO IDEA who was just tempting fate into bringing out these big knight monsters
Not sure I'm a fan of how naked they made them in the transformations
Musa sounds way too preppy
They all have the same voice what is going on
"Are you hurt?" Bloom she is lying on the floor in pain
ABSOLUTE HATE THAT THEY'RE SAYING FLORA CAN FEEL ALL THE PAIN HER PLANTS FEEL
If you're Techna, why are you American?
Really don't like Bloom's voice actor
Ah he was the sword smith from the company of light
Is that supposed to be Faragonda
Yep it is good god
"We're all a little bored with you and your sword" LMAO
So it's been centuries since the company of light disbanded. And Sparx was destroyed 17 years ago. Which was when they FORMED the company of light. Come on lads get a timeline

Bloom's voice actor sounds more like Musa than Musa's does
Hello Mr Scribe Man

what are your favorite episodes of gilmore girls?
ooOOOOOOH GREAT QUESTION i’ll break it down season by season:
season one
pilot. i mean, obviously. it sets them all up so well, character-wise; plus, you can tell some episodes in season one that were filmed shortly after the pilot vs a while later, just bc of emily’s differing hair lengths
the lorelai’s first day at chilton: introduces such great characters (paris, madeline, louise) and also is such a great way to continue the transition into learning about this world
rory’s birthday parties: god. just. the stark difference between emily and richard’s world vs stars hollow...... the found family of practically all of stars hollow showing up to rory’s home party...... “lorelai’s right. i don’t know my daughter at all.”...... God
forgiveness and stuff: like, gOD. a masterclass of acting especially from kelly bishop and lauren graham; it hits so differently after edward hermann’s actual passing. luke and lorelai’s relationship displayed on what he’d do for her. lord!
paris is burning: paris................ the Beginning of turning from enemies to friends...... plus, like, you get to see some of lorelai’s commitment issues, which plays out throughout the entire series (sometimes To My Great Aggravation)
concert interruptus: the bangles 🥺paris and rory 🥺
christopher returns: i mean. you see the dynamic between rory and christopher, lorelai and christopher, and emily, richard, and christopher, which just paints such a clearer picture of what lorelai’s life might have been like back then. PLUS, emily being soft toward rory; it’s one of my fave relationship moments for them, and i kind of regret taking that line from her and giving it to christopher in wyliwf.
star crossed lovers and other strangers: the same way we get to see emily and rory, we get to see richard and lorelai; also, you can see how lorelai’s commitment issues might have inadvertently affected rory in this. plus i love love LOVE the backstory of the stars hollow lovers festival, i wish they’d repeated it in later seasons!
emily in wonderland: i really wish you’d gotten to see the effect of learning about lorelai and rory living in the shed play out more than a one-episode arc, i really wish we did, but like. emily bishop, once again, acting her damn heart out. phenomenal.
season two
the road trip to harvard: you get to see the beginnings of how rory leaving for college might affect lorelai, plus you get to see rory in her ivy league habitat. luke getting so suddenly, “inexplicably” cheerful when he hears that lorelai’s not marrying max. and at the very ending emily being sympathetic to max. bless it.
nick & nora/sid & nancy: first jess ep. “dodger.” what else is there to say. points off lorelai tho for immediately losing it at jess when he snarks at her, when, like, that is your move, lorelai, you should recognize that?
presenting lorelai gilmore: rory stepping more and more into her grandparents’ world in a way lorelai never wanted to; though i don’t ship christopher and lorelai, their dance scene is adorable. plus, emily and richard fighting a bit and the beginnings of richards (seasons long!) arc about his journey with his work.
the ins and oust of inns: MIA. you get to see mia for the first time! lorelai and sookie having a fight is :( but you get to see lorelai’s turmoil over actually leaving the inn. emily coming to see mia! luke yelling at the town over them being rude about luke! lorelai coming to his defense! rory telling jess off and jess wordlessly fixing luke’s toaster in silent apology!
the bracebridge dinner: GOD. love it. the horses and carriages! the absurd historical acting! emily and richard! rory and jess! luke and lorelai! it’s fantastic!
a-tisket, a-tasket: I LOVE THIS EPISODE. some of the town absurdity that was just A Plus. “it’s not like she’s shipping off to ‘nam!” is a great line. jackson proposing to sookie! and poor lane........
there’s the rub: emily and lorelai, seeing how great they could get along, but seeing how either of them wreck it just when it’s getting a-okay. god. it’s just such a great microcosm of their relationship.
dead uncles and vegetables: luke......... Luke. lorelai and rory and jess all rallying around him in their ways, and stars hollow by extension. even tho they were pretty shitty at first, they, like. managed to make it up to him in the end.
lorelai’s graduation day: GOD LAUREN GRAHAM, KELLY BISHOP, AND EDWARD HERMANN KILL IN THE GRADUATION SCENE!!!!! i ADORE that shot of the three of them, gets me every single time!!! the only thing i dislike about it is rory accidentally missing the graduation bc....... :/. like. i really like jess. but. come on.
i can’t get started: sookie’s wedding!!! her freaking out over the cake so much in her dress is So Her, she looked so pretty omg! plus, if the spa ep is a good microcosm of emily and lorelai, this is a great microcosm for christopher and lorelai. plus!!!! RORY AND JESS FIRST KISS!!!!!!
season three (look, full disclosure, seasons 3/4 are like. my faves. so)
haunted leg: gosh. lauren graham kills it in that last couple scenes. plus! kirk asking lorelai out on a date is hilarious! emily and lorelai’s lunch at luke’s going So Bad! and i know that not a ton of people like the francie chilton student politics intrigue subplot isn’t great for some people, but i do think that the potential was Great and there are definitely some really good scenes that arose from that subplot, so
take the deviled eggs... like. just. a great blend of town insanity (patty’s new boy, the town loner pitching a protest no one knows the reason behind) and lorelai and rory bonding (by deviled-egging jess’ CAR) and just!!! yes!!!!
they shoot gilmores, don’t they?: i mean. come ON. what list would be complete without this? literally every single favorites list has this episode on there. the dance marathon is the perfect example of town insanity! lane and dave getting their bonding! that little luke and lorelai moment about having kids! that scene of rory crying into lorelai’s shoulder!
a deep-fried korean thanksgiving: i love the whole “three thanksgivings” thing. Can Relate, Do Understand. i think that lorelai freaking out at rory for applying to yale is definitely a contrived subplot (i mean. she was never going to apply to only harvard. ma’am.) but i do like seeing sookie, and luke and jess, and just.... Yeah
dear emily and richard: our ONLY flashback ep! while i do think that only lauren graham can really pull lorelai off, the actress is, like, fairly decent (young christopher, however, does not really fit) and you just! yeah! you get to see them back in their youth and FINALLY get the context of how lorelai ran away!
the big one: like! yay paris! lorelai’s reaction (”i’ve got the good kid!”) is Gross, Frankly! it’s gross and bad! but also poor paris 🥺but!!! rory helping to comfort her afterwards!! richard falling asleep in the middle and having No idea of what just went down is also inexplicably hilarious to me!
those are strings, pinocchio: i mean. it’s the graduation episode. God. i just???? god. it’s such a great episode, there’s so many great moments, i just. 🥺
season four
the lorelais’ first day at yale: a great little titling parallel to chilton, but also, rory panicking when lorelai leaves is like. such a Thing ya know??? i just. yeah. i really like that ep it’s a nice introduction
the festival of living art: one, this show won its only emmy bc of the makeup, so that alone is great. uh, kirk being so adversary to the guy who plays judas is god tier humor! plus! sookie and jackson having their baby!
ted koppel’s big night out: THE FOOTBALL GAME EPISODE! i actually kind of love it, but more the first half than the latter; it’s such an emily and richard way to prepare for a football game, you know? and then meeting pennilyn lott! igniting the arc of emily and richard having doubts about their marriage which has Acting! Moments! but this also has jason and lorelai’s first date, which i Dislike, bc i Dislike Jason Very Much.
nag hammadi is where they found the gnostic gospels: seeing jess come back into town and you get to see how unfinished things are between him and rory..... the luke angst..... Yes.
the incredible sinking lorelais: a very realistic part of college, imo, in which you feel overwhelmed and anxious and EVERYTHING SUCKS NOW CAN I JUST CALL MY MOM, though i wish they’d set it up a bit more and followed it longer than an episode, and also that rory hadn’t gone to dean; but also, trix, and richard standing up to her, which!
scene in a mall: idk i just love this episode? seeing emily in her shopping element; seeing her break down in that way; seeing how shopping is like, one of her Only ways to execute power, and how she’s kind of jealous of lorelai’s career bc she was born into a generation where the only thing it was really acceptable for her to do was cultivate a husband and a nice house; plus!!! that last bit of emily and richard and the apples at the table just BREAKS your heart!!!
girls in bikinis, boys doin’ the twist: SPRING BREAAAAK which is so unexpected for paris and rory and therefore very funny. you get to see madeline and louise again—i actually really love their characters, lmao! paris and rory kiss! just! yeah!
tick, tick, tick, boom!/afterboom: another “idk i just enjoy it” episode. richard and floyd coming to a head; kirk’s easter egg hunt; seeing little davey. however i have some Words for rory because lindsay deserves better??? i understand that she could get a part time job but also MIND YOUR BUSINESS?????? dean’s the one taking classes! that’s an unnecessary expense! he has two jobs!! he’s allowed to take a pause!!! also i can’t believe i’m forced to defend dean right now!!! fuck asher, tho, but yay! breaking up with jason!!! yay breaking up with jason!!!!!!
luke can see her face/last week fights, this week tights: i can’t, okay??? i literally had to. the beginning of jess’ (admittedly mostly off-screen) development arc! luke and the self-help books! the absurdity of the renaissance wedding! the WEDDING DANCE!!!
raincoats and recipes: truly an episode has never gone from such a “FUCK YESSSSSS FINALLY” scene to a “FUCK NOOOOOO WHAT ARE YOU DOINGGGGGG” but honestly it’s just. it’s Such a fantastic episode like i can’t
season five
written in the stars: their first date 🥺the horoscope 🥺”i am in, lorelai. i am all in.” 🥺 HER GOING DOWNSTAIRS IN JUST HIS SHIRT 🥺 HIM YELLING AT THE TOWN ABOUT HOW IT’S THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS 🥺🥺🥺
we got us a pippi virgin: literally the concept alone of “nearly coming to blows via bop it” is great. also luke being like “rory is like pippi!” and showing off what a high regard he holds her in 🥺
emily says hello: LITERALLY so many great little things about this episode. emily deciding she wants to try dating! rory and christopher snapping at each other! KELLY BISHOP’S ACTING AFTER THE DATE WHEN SHE CLOSES THE DOOR ON HIM AND BURSTS INTO TEARS!!!!!!!
women of questionable morals: the dog.
wedding bell blues: HUNDREDTH EPISODE couldn’t NOT make it on here, so here it is!!! luke and lorelai looking at each other when she’s next to the aisle! luke and christopher both yelling and logan—AcTING! also emily being so manipulative even on her second wedding day, it’s just So classically her, and kelly bishop and lauren graham in the final scene is just. Mwah!
so... good talk: rory literally stepping into lorelai’s shoes for a dinner and being the one to snap at emily and richard is Such a role reversal for her but honestly whenever it does happen i actually really enjoy seeing the dichotomy between the grandparents seeing rory as their perfect little second chance and lorelai seeing her as her mini-me and how rory walks the line between each. AND THAT ENDING KISS SCENE BETWEEN LUKE AND LORELAI????? I CAN’T?????
pulp friction: LORELAI CONTINUING TO ICE OUT EMILY AND RICHARD!!!!! the yelling scene at the diner!!!! plus seeing the chilton skirt come out again was nice imo i too have reused private schoolwear
season six (the season, admittedly, i have watched the least)
we’ve got magic to do: the outfits of the dar bash. paris’ sudden dedication to the proletariat. emily’s rant to shira. that is all
twenty-one is the loneliest number: them finally starting to talk; “this is luke, my soon-to-be-stepfather”; the pastor scene is also just. hilarious. but also so very richard and emily
let me hear your balalaikas ringing out: lorelai’s emotions toward paul anka being sick Oof and luke and the soccer team lmao but also JESS RETUUUUURNS!!!!! RORY SNAPS OUT OF IT!!!!!! FINALYYYYYYY!!!!
friday night’s alright for fighting: literally the montage of all of them intercut with fighting and them sitting in silence while the other two yell in the background to them laughing is just. Peak gilmore
this turned out..... even longer than expected lmao

The Best of: Lucifer S2
***21 Days of Lucifer: Countdown to Season Five. August 7, 2020***
Top Moments:
Trixie meets Amenadiel in the hospital while visiting her mom and almost immediately calls him a guardian angel, calls him good, and refills his morale to 100% like a sage.
Linda meeting the divine Goddess while being awestruck and simultaneously fiercely protective of Lucifer “I’m not telling you anything.” Everything with Linda and Amenadiel really. This was a really strong season for the both characters, they are all-stars. And Rachel Harris can do anything with Duct tape apparently.
Lucifer trying to Chloe-proof everything in the precinct and being her body guard in an effort to thwart Uriel cosmic probability pattern from taking her out.
Lucifer’s traumatic meltdown spiral over the course of Monster after killing Uriel, ultimately resulting in him revealing his true face to Linda. God, that scene breaks my heart.
Maze and Linda on opposite sides of the therapy office door when Maze gets so excited about finding her calling and slides the first bounty check under the door made out to “Mazikeen Smith” because she’s the first person Maze wants to celebrate with.
Lucifer finally driving Chloe’s PD vehicle
The questioning of all of Lucifer’s ‘exes’ at the precinct / and finding Lucifer’s (fandom-nod) stalker with her giant string theory board during Stewardess Interruptus
Chloe saves LUX from demolition for Lucifer, first by quashing the police call, then by getting it declared a historic site.
Domesticated devil bliss: Lucifer in the Decker kitchen stealing Trixie’s breakfast sandwich that Chloe just made, and then telling Chloe that her dad would be proud of her and being bewildered that he made her cry.
Dan and Lucifer settle the record during, of all things, improv.
Honorable Mentions
Chloe beating a criminal with a yoga mat while enumerating the sins of betrayal, aka “there’s a special place in hell for women who betray other women”
Lucifer’s parent trap of Mum and God Johnson
Lucifer firemen-carrying his mother off of a dancing table at LUX
Amenadiel standing up for Lucifer to Mum when he’s in pain trying to ignite the blade
Maze blowing up Amenadiel’s car
The corvette stunt driving scene on the airport runway where Chloe looks like she’s about to toss her cookies
Trixie mutilating her doll and Lucifer getting excited about buying her a new one despite Chloe’s protests
Lucifer shocking himself back to hell
“Do not touch the charred crotch”
Maze and Dan team up to dispose of corrupt warden Perry Smith to the Russian mob
Dan and Lucifer team up to get Boris Sokolov in for questioning by staging a hit request on Lucifer, and Lucifer makes a complimentary remark in the sauna on how fit Dan is.
The Tribe girls night out with Chloe’s lost time in which she invited Maze to move in.
The guys night out where Amenadiel fails woefully at dancing and keeping a low profile, revisits the “Cosmos” bit
At the end of Quid Pro Ho, Lucifer brings Chloe dinner in his penthouse to make up for the date he ditched.
Amenadiel brings Maze flowers and sees Penelope Decker again
The Chloe-Mum tag team aka Chloe pats down the Divine Goddess
Chloe’s awkward “double date” case-setup with Dr. Garrity from the mental health unit, Maze, and Amenadiel, aka “I like the shape of your head.”
Lucifer and Dan being captured while Lucifer is mimicking him, Dan getting beaten and Lucifer breaking out of handcuffs to free them both only after the fact.
Best Guests:
Timothy Omundson as God Johnson
Runner up: Michael Imperioli as Uriel in Weaponizer and A Good Day to Die. Alas, poor Uriel.
Note - I don’t consider Tricia Helfer as Mum a guest because of her season long arc
Funniest Moment:
Breaking out of the asylum planning and slo-mo execution with God Johnson
Runner up: The two part payoff when Lucifer complains about Mazikeen moving in with Chloe saying “you better not sleep with her before I do” when, only a handful of episodes later, Chloe and Maze pose as a married couple on a case (2x15) and Maze remarks “she’s a pistol in the sack.” 1-0 Mazikeen.
Honorable mention: Ella and Lucifer re-enacting the stabbing rampage of Azrael’s blade in the wellness studio / Dan grabbing Azrael’s blade and trying to kill Lucifer over pudding
Most Memorable Dramatic moment:
The ensemble hospital scene in A Good Day to Die part one of which Mum and Lucifer collectively drag each other out of their own hell loops and the latter half of which Amenadiel levels up to Gandalf and holds his ground to help his brother succeed in rescuing Chloe.
Runner up: Lucifer confronts Uriel in Father Frank’s old church
Honorable mention: Lucifer sends mom into the void to start over
Best Fight scene:
Lucifer vs Uriel (2x05)
Runner up: The Tribe kicking *** and taking suspect names at the bar while getting Chloe drunk. Particularly Maze when she says, “No one calls my stank a stank,” breaks a pool cue and cracks skulls (2x04)
Honorable Mention: Maze and Lucifer beating the crap out of each other because Maze thinks Lucifer is going to abandon her for until they literally summon the ref (aka Linda) (2x17)
Favorite Trixie moment:
“Trixie Morningstar, nice to meet you.“ Trixie and Lucifer infiltrate the private school in Deceptive Little Parasite, and he later bonds with her and calls her clever after she reveals that she’s been putting on a brave face every time her mom goes to work. (2x15)
Runner up: Trix faking out Lucifer be going in for the hug and switching it up to the high five after she lets Lucifer take her first breakfast sandwich. (2x07)
Honorable mention: Dr. Trixie - Wusses don’t get lollies. (2x18)
Favorite Episode:
God Johnson
Runner Up: A Good Day to Die

Winx Club Season 3 Thoughts (4kids) Part 1
(This began about half a year ago and I have only picked it back up recently. I haven’t changed anything from the thoughts I had back then. Also this covers the episodes up to 3x13.)
Okay... I have finally reached this point. I’ve been dying to watch season 3 for the last, like, 4 months and I had to put so much willpower into restraining myself so that I could rewatch the whole series properly. And now that I am finally here, I am nearly shaking with excitement because yessssss! It’s finally time for Enchantix and Valtor. I am filled with glorious anticipation (though, also a bit wary since I do not like the resolution of this season’s arc from what I remember) and so ready to dive in. Here we go:
3x01:
- Oh, damn! Summer vacation hasn’t even started yet? Wow, um, okay, I guess. I need to update my timeline a little bit.
- Seriously, there is Bloom and Sky drama and they won’t even tell us what it’s about? You’re just gonna shoehorn more stupidity in this just for the sake of it? Why am I even surprised?
- Damn, Layla absolutely killed those moves! Well, before Kiko fell on her and they all fell to the ground but that’s another thing. That was some next level coordination and acrobatic skills. I can only watch in awe and wish I had even a tenth of that.
- Why did Stella think she wouldn’t have a Princess Ball? I hope she doesn’t think that her parents think she’s a failure as a princess. And aww, poor baby. She’ll be so sad when she learns that her father is getting married to Cassandra instead of getting back with her mother.
- Seriously, what idiot looked at the Trix and went “Ah, yes! Let’s send Icy, the witch of ice, in a dimension of ice. She’ll be all contained there. Absolutely guaranteed. 100%.” Will you people wake the fuck up, wake your brains and start thinking for real ‘cause you’re definitely not doing that now. Also, let me just say that that was a big leap from Lightrock monastery (or whatever the hell it was) to the Omega dimension. I guess going after the ultimate power is much worse than the Army of Decay. That or the writers have no concept of how to make the punishment fit the crime.
- Poor Darcy and Stormy. They don’t seem to be handling the cold very well. Also, something about Stormy’s line that they’re probably talked about at Cloud Tower is really clawing at my mind but I can’t quite put my finger on it yet. It just sounds like... like she’s not really doing that for the power rather than for the attention and recognition which just starts all sorts of thoughts in my head and none of them lead to anything good, They all make me feel bad for the Trix, though.
- I’ve been dreading the whole thing with Chimera but that scene in the pizza place wasn’t so bad. And Winx tried to be friendly. But Tecna’s “Snap” was hilarious. The girl isn’t taking shit from anyone. I like. XD
- I am not really a fan of the dresses they were trying on but I like the idea of a magical thingy that changes the clothes for you instead of you having to do it manually. Can we get those, please? (Chimera’s “Later, losers” really reminded me of Mandy from Totally Spies btw.)
- Stormy and Darcy aren’t quite handling the ice skating. Also, damn, that snake froze Stormy’s magical beam. That is... freaky... and scary. It looks like they’re in a bit of a pickle.
- And here is where the timeline doesn’t make sense. If Marion and Oritel trapped Valtor in Omega before they proceeded to battle the Ancestral Witches, then how does he have a plaque with his name and sentence on it? That doesn’t make sense. Who had time to sentence him? Unless I got something wrong, then this is not legit.
(- Let’s make one thing perfectly clear. I will never refer to Valtor as “Baltor” or to Marion as “Miriam”. It is just not going to happen.)
- “Frozen dude” I can’t. XD That was kinda a good plan the Trix had there, though if Valtor weren’t so powerful, it wouldn’t have worked because the snakes would’ve killed him and then them as well. But hey, they’re in luck because...
- Holy shit, look at those powers! He totally destroyed the snakes before even working out the kinks from his shoulders. I love the blue color of his magic. I think it makes sense. I am so done with the show not addressing how shitty it must be to be trapped and completely still AND frozen for seventeen years. Instead they just threw in a line about it that only made him look more evil and I will be forever mad about this, thanks. (Can I at least hope that the Trix learned a bit from the whole Darkar experience? Probably not but Icy’s line about Valtor not giving them orders is still giving me hope that will only disappoint me later. (Also, Valtor seems very contained here considering all the rage he has later on. At least he starts out looking more normal.))
- Awww, those puppies were really cute! And Stella and Bloom were so quick to the rescue! That was really sweet! (What the hell was up with Chimera’s powers, though?)
- Oh, I loved Icy’s idea with the snake. It was so clever. And Valtor is already at it with the possession of mermaids. A true demon indeed. I love him.
- I actually like Stella’s pink dress more than the red one. Also, I like Musa’s long hair but it is very weird to me after I just saw her with the short hair, like, five minutes ago.
- Yeah, Sky’s there. Great! Moving on. Brandon was really trying to mess up Stella’s hair, huh? XD Oh, and Musa and Riven are still dancing around each other. (I’m so sorry for this.)
- That rescue was cool. And Layla with the little girl. But why didn’t she just fly to the shore and felt the need to surf instead? That has always puzzled me greatly. She is such a responsible princess, though. She immediately went when she was called upon. Precious!
- Okay, but that looks like Valtor is literally sucking out their souls, wtf! This is so cool/freaky and I am so here for it.
- Um, I don’t like the way the Trix are looking at Valtor. I know he’s powerful and everything but can they just not crush on the weird guy they’re teaming up with every time? Their flirting is just so awkward. Also, can we see them teaming up with a woman for once?
- That moment when you take over a fucking planet (well, not quite but he’s going for it) and you’re like “Damn, I hate being so weak. I need to take my power back”. How much more power? What the hell? I mean, of course I love him but they’re making him so overpowered and they will have to tear him apart later in order for Winx to be able to defeat him and just... can you not? Tone it down a little now so that you don’t have to ruin this actual perfection later gdi! Also, why the fuck would we get a normal motive when we can just have “Power!!!! MORE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Give me a good fucking motive dammit! Or at least explain why the fuck he wants that power!
3x02:
- Awww! Can we talk about the fact that Radius is so open and welcoming to Bloom? And he knows how much she means to Stella! That is so adorable, I’m gonna cry now.
- Stella is such a supportive friend! She let Bloom into the hall of the universe (that is the coolest thing ever btw) and she was quick to reassure her that Oritel and Marion are alive. And she should know how this thing works so... I love how “it showed them standing” means “they’re still standing” as in “they’re still alive”. That was cool.
- Ahh, he straight up walks through walls. Creep. XD (seriously, that is the least troubling bit about him tbh)
- Did Chimera know who Stella was back at Magix? That would be weird because why would she do anything that would leave her in a position where she needs to kiss up to Stella?
- Stella woke up at dawn? She’s serious about this thing. And she totally dumped Bloom out of bed. Brandon should watch out in the future. Stella can get you out of bed whether you like it or not.
- Chimera was “finger-painting with food”? Umm... Am I the only one who thinks this sounds weird? And perhaps like Cassandra should’ve paid more attention to her as a child?
- Okay, Valtor is smooth. Of course, he simply wants to make their desires come true. I mean, an obvious lie but at the same time it isn’t because he really did give them power. So... nice move there! Also, I love that Cassandra was smart enough to ask what their end of the deal would be (it’s obvious enough but you never know when some idiot will forget to ask about that) and that she didn’t take Valtor’s hand. It could be read as her being a snob (which is probably at least partially the reason behind it) but it can also be read as her being mindful of him despite their “alliance” and refusing to trust him completely which is a smart move.
- Did Cassandra have magic before Valtor? Her ring seemed to be magical but did she have powers herself? So according to Wiki, “Valtor gave her more potent powers” so I’m assuming that means she had some before that. I was leaning towards that but now I am accepting it as canon.
- Is Valtor’s messing with the second sun what caused the shift in atmosphere and the rain? Damn, very symbolic you guys. It never rains on Solaria but Valtor shows up and boom! It’s raining. Both literally and metaphorically.
- I can’t help but notice how Valtor is only surrounding himself with women. Calm down there with the harem, will you? But on a serious note, I think it does make sense. He most certainly grew up surrounded by women and I would imagine his ego and his quest to be the most powerful wizard kind of get in the way of any male partnership. (Proof a - Griffin, proof b - the Trix. I think you get the idea.)
- Poor Stella. So I get why she’s upset but she’s also being a little selfish here and not taking into account her father’s feelings. I really want to see what happened there, though. If Cassandra didn’t have any good qualities, then why did he decide to marry her? That would make him a complete fool and, let’s be real, he’s not. But it could be that she deceived him. Her facade was holding up well when she was giving Stella the necklace the previous day.
- I can’t with Brandon, though. I see it is time for Sky to be the wingman now, closing Brandon’s jaw and urging him to give Stella the gift. Nice! (Also, poor Flora. Stuck there without Helia XD (But didn’t Tecna say that Helia confirmed he was going in the previous episode? Why isn’t he there?)) Why are Brandon and Sky in their Specialist uniforms, though?
- I really liked the fact that Radius said “My princess and yours.” I think it was cute. And the dance! And his worry for Stella! He is a great father.
- How old is Chimera? Bc she called Stella “big sister”. Damn, long nails, though! And that was some magic!
- Okay, Radius was spelled but what about the guards? “Our princess could never look that hideous”? Oh, so it is just Stella’s looks that matter to you. That’s great to know... Assholes.
- Aaaaand... she fell out the window. (What was that magic Flora sent at Bloom, though? Was it to help her speed so that she can catch Stella?)
3x03:
- The rain is anti magic? Valtor really pulled some shit there.
- “All boys are like that”, really? If you really believe that, then why are you all over Riven, Musa? I get why Stella is worried that Brandon won’t like her like that but Musa’s point is just... no.
- Yeah, let the boys handle it because we’re useless without our powers. Feminism at its finest. And a great message to send to all the little girls watching this show who DON’T have magic. Just fucking splendid!
- Aww, at least the dogs recognized Stella. Dogs are great!
- Stella sneaked out to go to parties? Nice. XD Also, anyone else notice the sparkles? Her outfits were always sparkly. At least the royal ones. Idk why I’m saying this. It just struck me.
- Rocks, then spiders. Amazing! They’re in all the trouble. But Tecna is handling this with some wits and gadgets, and just the tiniest bit of magic that you could literally replace with a knife or something. See? Not useless without magic.
- Aww, Stella saved them from the leeches. (But what was up with that? I don’t think leeches make you unconscious. Unless they were some magical leeches that were draining their magic.)
- Okay, I am not quite sure what is happening with the Trix. They were making digs at Valtor but then they start looking at him like that. It’s obviously just because of the power but still. I’m not a fan. Also, didn’t the Trix learn that they can’t beat Bloom?
- Put an illusion spell on Brandon? Shouldn’t that be a no-no? Like, no spelling the boo?
- Weather spirit? That’s proving to be a real problem.
- Okay, I cannot stress this enough but that last part was sooooo stupid. You have fucking instruments in the ship but why the fuck would you check that and get it back up when you reach the lowest possible point when you can instead go blindly into it and rely on Bloom’s gut? Use the fucking tech gdi! Yeah, now you remember the instruments, after the deed. Instead of doing it while you were performing the maneuver.
3x04:
- Those griffins? Damn! Those things are huge. And those were the little ones. Griffin is named after one hell of a creature. Also, I couldn’t help but notice the parallel there between the mother griffin trying to protect its chicks and Griffin trying to protect her students and getting extremely mad when the Trix attacked them. She totally is a mama bear.
- Poor Stella, feeling useless. Okay, but if Brandon thinks she still looks like she did before, then what does he think the spell did to her? Why does he think she can’t turn into a fairy? Also, didn’t he see what she turned into back at the ball? None of this makes sense.
- And Brandon is ready to jump off the ship for Stella. She definitely doesn’t need the spell because this guy is so in love.
- I’m not a fan of the “girls only” thing. Come on, guys! Brandon is clearly here to stay.
- Look at Brandon being all supportive boyfriend (and understanding, too, since he isn’t mad about getting spelled). And the others’ words... I’m tearing up. Oh, and poor Stella who thought everyone only liked her because she was pretty. (And judging by the Solarian guards’ words, for a good reason too (I’m just about ready to go on a killing spree on her behalf).)
- I love that Brandon only gave her the gift (hey, that’s a mirror, right?) when they thought it hadn’t worked. He was there no matter what happened and I just love that!
- First day of school? Bruh, how short was that vacation? Wtf?
- Omg, Stella and Musa’s teasing. Also, plants that write books? Damn, okay.
- Oh, hey! Musa and Stella have new friends. Poor Nova, though. She was scared to tell Stella what was up on Solaria. And it looks like the situation is very bad. Though, they were just letting Stella be serious and responsible and then they had to bring in the “being jealous of Chimera” thing. Nice one, you guys.
- Griselda is rooting for less school work? That is kinda out of character. And so is Faragonda’s idea about the Enchantix too. (Also, don’t come at me with this bullshit that earning Charmix was the goal of the second year. They didn’t even know what the fuck a Charmix was halfway through the year.) And this is further supported by what she said next that the Enchantix will find them when they’re ready. And what if they aren’t ready yet? What if they’ll be ready two years from now? Also, wtf do you mean that they’ll stay exactly as they are if they fail? Who put an expiration date over when you can earn your Enchantix?
- Stella’s reaction about Chimera, though. I mean, I understand, I wouldn’t want to save her either, but still.
- I’m not trying to be a bitch and it is probably the translation that is stupid but the way Bloom’s thoughts went she was pretty much saying “Why did everyone from Sparx disappear before I could save someone and earn my Enchantix?” Again, this is probably just the translation since the imagery of the destruction of Sparx suggested that she was mourning the tragedy but it did sound wrong.
- So does the Council do anything at all? Because the way Layla is telling it it sounds like they’re there like “Well, too bad for Tides. Also, sucks to be whoever he’ll attack next.” Also, if Valtor was defeated seventeen years ago, why wasn’t there a fucking reaction by someone? Layla’s parents must have already been rulers of Tides at the time so they must have known what was going on politically speaking (especially considering that there’s a portal from Omega to Tides). None of this makes sense... Again. (”Creature named Valtor”? Interesting. This isn’t a mistake since he isn’t quite human so... the writers are dropping some hints.)
3x05:
- Why does Omega have an exit? What, you go and collect the convicts after they’ve served their sentence? No, I really can’t comprehend what’s the point of an exit portal. Isn’t the idea of a prison dimension for the prisoners to be... trapped?
- Hey, don’t dis Stella just because she’s worried about her own planet. (We really didn’t need that flashback but it wasn’t so long so whatever.) At least Layla is being understanding and supportive despite everything she’s going through herself.
Cassandra is really using the magic from Valtor, though, isn’t she? Poor Radius. And all the people who are loyal to him. And Stella for having everything taken away from her, including her father. - This part is in the wrong place but it’s true regardless.
- Just teleporting in the middle of a palace. Damn, those things are so easy to invade. They all have to invest in security. Seriously, some teenagers are breaking in with tech they invented themselves (and yeah, Tecna is the fairy of technology but still). You need a better security system, trust me. If they had it, Valtor wouldn’t have been able to sneak around the Solaria palace. Or the Isis palace, for that matter (but I’m getting ahead of myself.) Also, given the problems they faced on Solaria and those they’ll face on Eraklyon, I’d say it is a lot harder to break out of the palaces than it is to break in, which is still important but if getting in was harder, there would’ve been no reason to work so hard on keeping people from getting out, is all I’m saying.
- I am pretty sure those frames where Icy is twirling her hair were in a previous episode too. Recycling animation, I see. I would cut them some slack on account that that was 2006(?) but no, people were actually drawing good animation in 2006. The first episodes of Tom & Jerry had better quality animation back in the early 1940s for heaven’s sake. They’re just not trying.
- It’s Magic Winx time! I am really trying to make the most of those last moments we’re seeing their initial transformations. I’m thrilled about Enchantix but I’ll also miss their Magic Winx forms.
- “Fairies. They’re always trying to help others. And what’s funnier is that they actually believe it is the right thing to do.” This, right here? Giving me some major feels. I am probably reading too much into it (can’t help wishful thinking now, can I?) but this could very well be about Faragonda helping Griffin escape the Coven and saving her from the Ancestral Witches and Valtor’s wrath. He probably just meant it in general, but I now have a new headcanon (sort of).
- Aww, look at Griselda. So caring, so worried about them. They almost blew their cover there. But why use Kiko when there are five pixies even without Piff? Also, how the hell did Griselda buy that? But aww, at Kiko and Stella, too!
- Can I ask why in hell did they just turn around when they saw the wave and tried to outfly it when they should’ve just risen higher in the air and they would’ve been out of reach, the wave passing underneath them? But no, they can just do that other thing instead and take their chances with the possibility of drowning. Epic levels of stupidity again.
- “That wave was kinda refreshing.” I wonder if you would’ve thought that if someone had died.
- Was releasing the other prisoners Valtor’s plan? I don’t think he was planning on doing that. I mean, as a consequence of his actions, yeah, but I don’t think he was deliberately trying to do that.
- Bloom is getting visions now. Why couldn’t she sense that Valtor was there when he could sense her? I mean, didn’t she feel something through the Dragon Fire even when Layla wasn’t talking about him?
- That shot of Icy and Darcy facing each other while a current is waving their hair is absolutely fucking aesthetic. Can I get it printed?
- Oh, he only gave Icy powers? And I am not sure how to react to that scene. She was talking as if she was looking at a relationship with him. Also, why are they there when they know that this isn’t going to end well? This scene is on some other plane of logic that isn’t even anywhere near the one I’m on.
- Why are they so surprised that the Trix are there? Layla already told them that the possibility of them being with Valtor is big. They should’ve known. But damn, that bolt of magic just went straight through Flora’s chest. How is she not seriously injured?
- Why do the Trix suddenly turn very stupid when it is convenient for Winx? Darcy and Stormy are smarter than that. Maybe it could be considered their pride clouding their judgment but still. It didn’t feel right.
- “Does it look like I’m out of the way?” XDDD
- Why didn’t he just let Bloom drown? Problem solved. But no, he’s gotta have his “moment”, his “villain speech”, his “villain honor”. Bullshit. And in the end when she became too strong for him to defeat, he was doing anything but being honorable. The hypocrisy.
- Okay, but to be fair it wasn’t Icy’s fault that they decided they’d won and Bloom turned her back on the battle.
- Holy shit, he just exploded like that! I still can’t understand how he’s so powerful and keeps getting more power. Really, how did they even defeat him? Oh, that’s right, the writers completely tore him down. Jeez, almost makes sense.
- Oh, no, poor Layla! I think that is one of the cruelest things anyone has ever done in the series. And it is, of course, directed at Layla. (Yes, I am looking at the fact that Ogron stole her chance to save Nabu and saved a flower with that magic instead.) (Damn, they’re all so short compared to Valtor.)
3x06:
- Stella somehow got away with using the pixies again. I don’t know how she keeps doing it but damn. That should qualify as skills.
- It is very sweet of them to hold Layla and help her but I think they should’ve offered a more... extensive hold on her. What I mean here is... Story time. We did some exercises in Cognitive Psychology since our teacher said that there’s a high chance we’ll be working with people with sensory disability. So she separated us into pairs and made one of us close our eyes and trust the other to lead them through a course of obstacles. And I have to tell you that I did not feel secure at all when I was only being held by the hand. Our teacher did something similar with us but it was her who was leading us and she had an arm around my shoulders PLUS holding my hand and it felt much better and safer. So what I’m saying with this is that Layla is most certainly freaking out here and she is very brave for not showing it (probably because she doesn’t want to be a burden) and also making steps on her own in her attempt to reach Tressa. That is absolutely impressive and we should all be proud of her. And she’s also ready to fight. She deserves all the hugs and love, and support in the world.
- I’m pretty sure that spell for breathing underwater undermines the whole Sirenix thing in some way but I don’t really remember what was up with that so I won’t be putting that in the plot holes column just yet.
- Flora is swimming like a little froggie. XD And Musa is swimming like a mermaid. Btw why do all the mermaids have this unnatural angle in their tales as if they have legs and have only put on a mermaid costume over them?
- And Stella finally fucked up. I am really curious what the hell she thought she could do. Go to Solaria and what? Get arrested? Not to mention that she was alone. Stella, honey, use those brain cells. They’re there for a reason. I know you want to help but this isn’t the way.
- Since when do corals grow so fast? Calcium carbonate can’t just multiply like that. Get your facts straight, writers. I guess you could explain this with magic but the way it is animated makes the coral look like it’s seaweeds. It looks soft and fabricy instead of solid as it actually should be.
- Aaand Layla is kidnapped. She’s probably terrified at this point. Poor baby needs a hug and months of therapy.
- I don’t understand why you need bravery to cut through the bars of a cell but okay. Attacking a kraken does, in fact, require bravery, though.
- Let’s cause a cave in, kids! It will be fun. And the chance of dying is just about, oh, I don’t know, BIG!
- Why didn’t Bloom make the stupid shortcut sooner? It would’ve been useful when they were running from the kraken.
- Omg, Imma cry. It’s Enchantix time! Despite everything she’s been through, Layla chose to use the healing magic on the queen. Question though, couldn’t they just... wait until the next sunset to heal her too? Or was it a one-time thing. I think the Bulgarian dub (so RAI) said it was a special sunset that only happened once a year or something like that. Which made more sense tbh.
- That line in the end kills me, though. Layla sounds like she’s lost all hope. Poor baby! You can’t really blame her. But did her parents learn about this? Why didn’t they try to get someone on Tides to heal her? Surely her mom or someone else should’ve known about the fairy powder.
3x07:
- Another realm that will have to get acquainted with clouds. But damn, what a team they make. (Also, all the realms that are designed after Asian cultures are always so... harmonic... At least they were before Valtor.)
- The moment when Layla heals herself with her fairy dust is so powerful! And Griselda was so happy!
- Eraklyon is 1000 years old? I feel like that is little, but at the same time a lot. Idk.
- Icy was so mad. Is that some jealousy I’m detecting here? (Also, Stormy’s face at Darcy’s suggestion that Valtor may be crushing on Bloom, I can’t. She even had sort of a shudder run through her, lol.) But still, brave to yell at him like that considering how much more powerful than her he is. The Trix are the epitome of “I do what I want” and I love it.
- It’s the defense system! Idk why I like it so much but I do.
- Why do I feel like Stella and Griselda have sass matches in every class Griselda teaches? Lol, I want to witness those. They’re bound to be epic. But also, why store so many important and powerful spells in a school full of inexperienced students and risk all their well-being? This just doesn’t make any fucking sense. Again.
- Why do I have a feeling that it isn’t a good idea to let students arrange the tomes in the restricted vault?
- You see, this is why you don’t let them organize those books. Because they accidentally release a monster in the library. And of course they’re gonna send Layla, who is currently their strongest member, on lookout duty instead of having her deal with the monster with her Enchantix. At least they were smart enough to protect the books. Well, at least they learned that books can hurt you. In more than one way.
- Here comes the bullshit with Diaspro. Just let her move on from Sky gdi! Also, I love how she wasn’t really bothered by the fact that Valtor just walked into her room like that. Yeah, she was raging at him to get out but did she even blink at the fact that he managed to get in there at all? No? Why would that surprise her, right? She’s all busy being bitchy so that doesn’t even register.
- Stella and Layla have a tough case on their hands. Poor Tune. She looks like she can’t handle this anymore. But I think Bloom is the one at the biggest disadvantage (though, walking with a single book on your head isn’t actually that hard, come on). But she actually managed to master enough stuff in such a short time. And they’re going to the party. (Not that that will end well but regardless.)
- I love how Bloom didn’t even react to the fact that Faragonda knew her parents and hadn’t told her all this time. I would’ve at least asked why. But again, details just don’t register for these guys.
3x08:
- Why is it that in Bloom’s dreams it is always her friends who are taunting her. Your friends taunting you or abandoning you every time you dream about them is not really normal. (They do draw a lot of dream sequences, though, and I gotta say that they are pretty straightforward, very direct and less symbolic which... fair enough, but dreams aren’t always like that. Also, all the dreams they’ve drawn are logical meaning that everyone is doing things they could realistically do in real life and transitions from places are also smooth and physically possible. Most dreams aren’t like that because the part of the brain that is responsible for logic isn’t active during sleep. Which is why I’ve been in a different town and then walked straight into my room at home without any transition whatsoever. And yes, I get how more simplistic dreams would make sense considering it is a kids show but dreams are of special interest to me so you get this psychological/writer rant-y tangent. This may also be due to the fact that I recently watched a killer dream sequence (not quite dream, it was a hallucination but a “guided” one and it was essentially following dream logic so...) and I am still hung up on that.)
(- A sidenote here: I think that the reason Layla wasn’t in the dream is that her planet is also facing the possibility of destruction currently and that makes Bloom feel like Layla understands her even if she already got her Enchantix. And that was why she was both sleeping on Layla’s lap and not seeing her in the dream.)
- Bloom already met Sky’s parents. I mean, I get how she’d be worried around those two but they already liked her in season 2. So why is that here?
- Stella is so done. You know, I would’ve preferred it if they’d let her focus on the fact that her father is under a spell rather than on her title being given to Chimera. They’re making her more worried about that rather than about her father. (At least Layla is showing off her dress. She didn’t get to do it last time.)
- Oh, god, it’s drama o’clock. Seriously, he was just dancing with you and telling you he loves you. Who changes their mind like that? He’s been with her for over a year now. Why would he just do this out of nowhere without any warning signs? All of this is just so stupid.
- Yes, thank you, Stella. Please do go ask for an explanation. And Layla being angry for her friend too. Good.
- Finally someone realized he’s spelled. Of course he is. Why would he call them witches otherwise?
- Valtor has an interesting way of spying on people. I don’t agree that Diaspro will fit in with the Trix and they shouldn’t have reversed her season 2 character development like that. When will they learn, really?
- Layla’s morphix barrier is so powerful.
- “Even if you are spelled”? What is that if doing there? Of course he is spelled! He’s acting like a rabid dog and I think for two years now you would’ve noticed if that was his personality.
- Poor Flora. They had to get the dragons. But aww, Brandon is so ready to do what only a responsible best friend can and smack some sense into Sky.
- Why did the pilot listen to Cassandra? I know she’s acting like she’s queen but she’s not. You can’t just abandon your king like that no matter who else is giving you orders, what?
- When exactly did the spell on Radius break? When Cassandra abandoned him or when he saw Stella lying unconscious?
- That was so brave of her, just standing against the dragon and not caring about the danger, only about her father. And now she’s got her Enchantix. I always loved Stella’s Enchantix. It’s so pretty. Look at her! (Where’s my Enchantix song, though? Now I am absolutely certain that they’re showing RAI dub in Bulgaria. I want my song back. :/ I love it so much and I want it back!)
- (Okay, picking back up where I left off about half a year ago.)
3x09:
- I liked that they showed Bloom laughing at Kiko’s antics despite her being upset. It makes it more realistic than her just being sad all the time and not showing any other emotion.
- Why is it that what happened on Sparx seems to not be general knowledge? I mean, the whole planet died! There must have been a public statement out of the Council explaining what the hell happened and that the threat has been contained. Why does no one seem to know anything about that?
- I like the fact that there are bigger consequences of what happened on Eraklyon than just relationship drama. Makes this a lot more interesting.
- Look, I am not a fan of Bloom at all but I wouldn’t have wanted her removed from the school. I mean, Alfea is Valtor’s target with or without her anyway to give a logical argument at the very least. And she also deserves to be protected if Valtor is after her and not kicked out to deal with it as best as she can. It’s not fair to want her out of there just because there is someone out there to get her. They should be concerned with protecting her along with all the other students instead of trying to feed her to the wolves. Not to mention that if they want Bloom out, they should also want Faragonda out of there since she is a target of Valtor’s as well. But no one dares say that, right? I am just so over this!
- Why are we doing the voice over again?
- Vanessa and Mike are the most precious parents ever and I love them so much! (Pls, don’t ruin this with the live action series.) And also, when will Bloom stop acting like Sky has any control of his behavior? I am glad that Vanessa brought up that time Darkar brainwashed Bloom. A good way to slap her in the face with the truth delicately.
- Aww, Brandon is being such a great friend! And Stella is doing her best to be a supportive BFF as well.
- I agree with Riven on changing the operation’s name. And he was being a bit of a jerk there. Especially considering that he has been in Sky’s shoes as a brainwashed puppy for Darcy. Though, that might actually be what is driving his words. Maybe he doesn’t want to admit that he was outsmarted and spelled by Darcy and that is why he is maintaining that Sky might be choosing all of that of his own volition. (Though, that might be a bit too deep for the writers.) And he did agree to drive them, after all, so he must be saying the truth about not wanting Bloom to get disappointed.
- Why did they have to reverse every last bit of Diaspro’s character development?!
- “Is this a ‘no parking’ zone?” XDDDD
- Brandon truly is the best bf and BFF and I cannot stress this enough. I love him!
- Well, took you awfully long to put two and two together. But at least this drama is about to close. Thankfully, since I don’t think I could have taken much more of this.
- Of course, they get caught. Did that punishment ever happen? I mean, considering what is coming in the next episode, I don’t think we ever saw any consequences for that.
- I get why the news of an arranged marriage can be distressing but I think that Layla was a bit too quick with that “my life will be ruined” evaluation. She could’ve tried meeting Nabu at least before deciding it wasn’t going to work out. Especially considering that it was working out (until they fucking killed him off).
3x10
- (I will probably be talking a lot more about Griffin and Valtor than is necessary. What can I say? When your OTP only gets about five scenes together, you have to make the most of it.)
- Aww, poor Stella, feeling so worried for Brandon! But seriously, why didn’t they think of checking the intergalactic news or whatever? Shouldn’t that be... idk, their first move? Even I thought of that and I don’t even live in that universe. Come on, guys! Use those brain cells!
- Valtor is such a primadonna, I can’t even. Yeah, how dare this place he has completely taken over and pushed to the verge of destruction be so lame and not entertaining? Lol at the line about the spell protecting Cloud Tower from dark magic, though. It will never not be funny.
- Sidenote: Is Griffin the only person in the universe who’s named Griffin? I know that the fact that it’s Cloud Tower would make him think it was her but it could still be another witch named Griffin. You’d think that in the whole universe there would be another witch sharing that name.
- Okay, but that scene made the witches look kinda incompetent. I know they are just students still but they must know that shapeshifting is possible and in that case you shouldn’t invite animals inside either because they could turn out to be the menacing wizard that’s threatening the entire magical dimension. Just saying.
- God, I really hate it when they do things like that. Can we have magic users actually sensing magic and not being caught completely by surprise when someone teleports in their room? Especially if they are the headmistress of the most prestigious school for witches? I mean, she is supposed to be powerful. She should have sensed him or something. I am not saying that that should have given her more of a fighting chance but she should have at least felt his magic. Considering that they used to be partners.
- How do Ediltrude and Zarathustra know Valtor? I’m just curious for more backstory.
- This show has a dreadful way of including flashbacks. I mean, Griffin should know damn well what the hell Valtor’s talking about but they couldn’t find a better way to segue the flashback into the episode so we get that super cringy line instead. I would’ve also really appreciated it if those flashbacks were less stylized. Although - and now I am going on a Griffin x Valtor rant despite having said this before - the way it is animated it looks like they did convergence. And Valtor saying that they were unstoppable when they combined their powers supports that. And all of that, in turn, supports the idea that they were together. Especially since Griffin changed her mind about the whole thing which would mean that their interests in a magical plan weren’t all that aligned and you need sync for a convergence. (And who would prefer the idea of them being just work partners when you can have the moral dilemma of love vs conscience instead?) Anyway, yeah, really not a fan of that part with the snakes because it doesn’t tell you shit about what actually happened and I highly doubt that the Ancestral Witches conjured serpents to chase her. It could have been a good way to show once again how horrible they were but they just wanted to cop out of actually putting any effort into any of this.
- Now that I am done with that rant, I just want to say again how in love I am with young Griffin’s design and especially her hair. It is so long and purple and I just can’t! Also, headcanon that that flower hairpin was a gift from Faragonda. Also also, Darcy could be a spitting image of young Griffin. Just an observation.
- Of course, the magical barrier also protects from rain.
- Oh, boy, here comes another rant. “Why are they attacking us?” Seriously?!?!?! And that coming from Winx who were on Tides and have had two of their closest people brainwashed by Valtor? I mean, are you really that fucking stupid?!?!?!?!?! How hard can it be to put two and two together?!?!?! Honestly, I am so done with all of this!
- Well, that barrier didn’t hold up even for a minute. I know Valtor had all the witches brainwashed but how powerful can they be? Isn’t that barrier supposed to protect them from big threats? It gave way as if it were a house of cards.
- I love the way Faragonda just blasted Valtor through all of those trees although I wish they would have done more with that battle. They could have shown some more advanced spells instead of Valtor and Faragonda just blasting each other. Yeah, he turned her into a tree but we never actually saw how any of that happened. That could have been an epic battle if they had decided to show more of it.
- Yeah, this makes perfect sense. The barrier that all the teachers made together with an ancient spell didn’t hold up but the one Palladium put up with SOME of the fairies is stronger. How does that have any logic? The teachers are supposed to be a lot more powerful and therefore create a stronger barrier. I am so done with all of this nonsense.
- Poor Galatea. Though, I must agree with Icy that she is obviously new since she thought she could defeat the Trix by herself. But her idea to send a message to Musa was good! The one to run instead of fly out of there - less so.
- Yeah, Tecna just stopped a convergence between Icy and Stormy on her own. How does that make any sense?! Winx are way too powerful for the Trix to defeat them even without their Enchantix and none of this helps the tension of the season. I mean, can we have some proportional powers in order to actually have any stakes? They were so much better at that in season 1.
- Darcy, I love you, baby, but how could you set a library on fire? I am in pain. And also amazed by the stupidity once again. Why would a fire on fire attack put out the fucking fire, Bloom?! How does that make any sense?! Oh, and Galatea’s decision to rush back for the books was absolutely fucking idiotic. I get that she wasn’t rational at the moment and probably felt guilty for the whole thing but come on! This is a whole room of books! How did she think she could save them all?!
- Musa’s Enchantix is beautiful but I am not sure it was worth all the bullshit they did just to let her have it. Not to mention that there was absolutely no damage from the fire at all. And, of course, fairy dust can just generate new wings. Yes, that makes perfect sense, why are you asking? (Okay, I am actually going to give that a pass because fairy dust and fairy wings are both magic (and the dust comes from the Enchantix wings).)
3x11:
- I am actually kinda amused by the choice to start off the episode with that shot of the grounds of Alfea smoking after the battle.
- “Lucy, why did you attack us?” REALLY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! How much more stupid manufactured drama are they gonna shove in this?!?!?!... Oh, wait. That is so that we can have Mirta go to Cloud Tower bc that’s a plot device. Nvm it doesn’t make any fucking sense for any of the fairies not to know why the attack happened, especially since Faragonda is missing so they must all know about her battle with Valtor and that he’s behind everything. And then she even asks if Valtor made the witches do it? Well, of course he did, you absolute moron! I cannot with this anymore.
- Lol, Valtor just feeding the Trix’s fight and giving them stupid assignments to keep them off his back is kinda hilarious but it would have been better if they weren’t so ready to fall for it. Come on, they can do better and everyone knows it!
- Yeah, “an unbelievable battle” (Valtor vs Faragonda)... that we saw nothing of. Thanks, writers!
- I swear, the only reason Locket is less annoying than Bloom is that she’s actually smaller in size (and the writers don’t hyperfocus on her).
- Flora’s powers are really cool but why was there so much wind during that spell? It looked a bit too violent for Flora with the way all the trees were bending so intensely. And the trees were scared? Aww, that’s... a lot of things, actually. But anyway.
- If Mirta was going in Cloud Tower, why was she walking away from it? The positioning in this scene makes no sense.
- They literally just wasted almost an entire minute on the pixies that were doing nothing of importance. They could have used that time for something actually meaningful and interesting.
- Okay, I always thought that the green (bluish) and purple monsters were Ediltrude and Zarathustra but I don’t think I have seen anyone else catch on to that. I mean, it would make sense because Valtor’s mark turned the mermaids on Tides into monsters as well. But on the other hand, the witches of Cloud Tower were also marked and didn’t turn into monsters. Though, I bet that was just so we could have the drama of “why are they attacking us?” when the fairies recognized them because they might not have if the witches had been turned into monsters.
- Well, the Trix stood up to Valtor about that guard duty at least. That’s more like them.
- “she claims to be a fairy born into a witch’s body”? I never understood that. Mirta has a fairy form. So if she has a fairy form but is born in a witch’s body... What’s the difference between a fairy’s body and a witch’s one if not the fairy form? Which she obviously has?!?!?!
- Yeah, a door just opens by itself and Lucy is right behind it and Mirta falls for that. I mean, doesn’t the level of convenience tip you off that it’s a trap? Basic logic, people! Is that too much to ask for?
- Here they had to start doing the convergence before Valtor’s spell ruined it and Bloom touched Stella with no problem but later it turns out that Valtor just blocked their ability to touch. Yeah, right. I am not buying that. It wasn’t animated in support of it, sorry.
- Oh, wow. They even managed to hit Valtor with an attack! I’m amazed. However, they’re not anywhere even close to being on his level of power so, again, how did they ever beat him?
- Oh, I noticed the pentagram now! I never saw it before.
- Well, of course, Griffin is trying to escape. What did you think? That she’ll sit idly by? He knows her and he already knew she would try to escape as evidenced earlier. Why is he surprised?
- Okay, so “blocked our ability to touch each other” is actually “blocked our ability to hold hands” which is different. Just saying. And also, since when do they need to touch to do convergence? They were doing convergence without touching just fine in season 2. I maintain that this whole thing with the convergence is a load of crap because they had no idea how to put them in danger otherwise.
- What are these mummy hands and where are they coming from. And of course, Mirta shows up in a last second save. You know, I can see now how she fell for that trap earlier. Everything in this series is too convenient.
- If Valtor could do the reflective spell on Griffin’s cell door, why didn’t he just go for it the first time to eliminate the headaches she caused him with her escape attempts? Oh, my god, does anyone in this show have any brains?!
- They could have tried the fairy dust to save Griffin in this ep instead of waiting for 3x14. But again, no fucking brain cells, man.
- When will they learn that if a thing attacks them right now, there’s a big chance it was spelled by Valtor? I am really so over this. And “the old one”? Really? She’s not that old.
- Yeah, Mirta isn’t an Alfea student. Why would she care to go look for Faragonda along with Winx? We can just send her home, right? No problem.
- Hey, that’s Nabu.
(- Okay, enough about this episode. I gave it enough time and nerves.)
3x12:
- Lucy was spying on the pixies? I have never noticed that. And she turned herself into a snake? Okay, that was really cool. How have I never noticed it?
- I am so over Valtor and the Trix’s bullshit. They are all so transparent, it’s ridiculous.
- Well, that’s one of the few times we’ve seen Stella’s ring lately. She used it a lot more back in season 1 and I have started missing it.
- Yeah, Flora’s sister is not Rose. She’s Miele. Sorry, 4kids.
- Why did Flora ask her obviously-too-little-for-any-of-this sister to talk to the elders instead of her parents?!
- How did Stormy create harpies out of lightning? Was this some sort of Frankenstein thing, except she didn’t even have a body to run electricity through and just materialized the entire damn harpies out of her magic? WTF?!
- Lol, Stormy’s harpies first went for Musa? Yeah, it’s obvious they’re Stormy’s. XD (Why does that harpy look like Lucy?)
- No one can fly through the winds. 3 secs later - Stella, Layla and Musa are flying through the winds. *facepalm* They aren’t the only fairies in the whole magical dimension to have Enchantix, you know? Surely, there are also fairies with Enchantix on Lynphea, which means that there are people who can fly through the winds. Why does this show insist on contradicting itself so often?! (The talk about the Enchantix wings was cool, though.)
- Stormy really needs some anger management.
- My first thought when I saw the sage of Lynphea was “Lady Gaga” XDDD (Also, Alfea, Lynphea... chill, guys.)
- The story of the Black Willow has always been my favorite part of the lore for the Winx world! I loved it ever since I first started watching the show and it’s still holding up!
- Why is Darcy so behind on what Icy and Stormy are doing?
- Aww, Flora is so careful with her sister! And she knows her so well! She totally knew that Miele would want the ladybug to go faster. She’s a great big sis!
- Omg, a cat fight between Icy and Darcy? It’s hilariously bad but I gotta say, they probably weren’t trying to hurt each other truly since they mostly refrained from using magic. And I love the fact that they realized they are fighting over a guy and it’s stupid. Plus, Stormy really isn’t so bad at all and only needs some anger management. Out of the three of them, she always seems to value the presence of the others the most. Just... not in a “friends friends” way. XD
- Bloom was really going to just touch the water and totally forget what they were told and also turn herself back into a kid. Nice one!
- Ouch, poor Stella. She ran face first into that column. But I gotta say that I love how both Bloom’s face and intonation switch to “fuck you” even though she’s frozen to the wall.
- Hey, that thing about Griffin’s Nature Studies class kinda aligns with my headcanon that she loves plants. If you know how to make an environment thrive, you’ll also know how to ruin it. And of course, Darcy aced that. She just loves to ruin stuff and I love her. Also, loving the Trix much more now that they’re back to being a totally evil team!
- Holy shit! Flora just attacked Darcy physically! I am speechless! I did not see this coming. This episode is truly delivering on the action! It is much better than the previous one and the threat is more real. I like it!
- Oh, damn! Flora is really mad to dish out plants that are trying to swallow them! Oof, this is getting really intense and I am loving every second!
- Why are they talking underwater?
- Omg, poor Miele. She thought her big sis would die. Honestly, the Trix deserved to have their butts kicked here just for doing that to her. A sidenote, though - Why do the Enchantix transformations start up with makeup change? That is hardly a priority, seriously!
- Miele should have gotten her Enchantix, too, for taking that blow for Flora. Which btw is stupid because if the blast was supposed to “finish off” Flora, Miele should have been hurt badly but she was just fine.
- Well, of course saving Faragonda is up to Winx, THE STUDENTS! Why would any of the teachers actually try to save their boss?! That would be ludicrous.
3x13:
- Oh, so Saladin is three years older than Faragonda (and Griffin)? Also, “a social call”? Plus, the way Faragonda was talking about his past visits? Yeah, that was not a friendship when they were young. (But I just burst out laughing at Faragonda’s expression when she said she had to wake up Layla. She looked so terrified and it was just a tad over the top for her specifically.)
- Stella was dreaming Brandon had wings and they were flying together? Aww, that is so romantic!
- Aww, Layla and her dad are going to fight together! That is so precious! I love that some of the adults are finally taking action here. It was about damn time!
- The Trix look positively upset by Valtor’s idea to just let the mermaids die. It may be because in a way they are also his minions and if he has no problem leaving his minions to die, then they aren’t too safe either. Though, it seems like they want the people to live but they don’t care that the planet will die. It’s a little weird.
- Stella went to rodeo camp? Man, they really do have cowboys on Solaria, huh?
- Rescue vine? But aww, the way Flora caught Stella was really cute!
- Lol, I guess the Trix aren’t satisfied with the home cinema special “Watching your mortal enemies get obliterated” and wanted in on the action! Well, in a manner of speaking, Valtor saved them by keeping them from going to Tides (although it didn’t get destroyed but they thought it would so it kinda counts). Guess, they’re still useful to him.
- Omg, Layla and her dad teaming up is absolutely great! We needed to see more moments like that and it was totally possible considering that a half of their fathers (counting Oritel) are warriors. And I love that Teredor thought of freeing the mermaids from Valtor’s spell. I thought Winx would have thought of that by now but apparently they still can’t get used to the fact that they have fairy dust now and it can remove Valtor’s mark.
- I still don’t get the need for a portal to Omega. There is obviously another way in because the Trix weren’t dropped in through the portal on Tides. So why leave a portal? This is stupid. Also, I knew the scrolls would get sucked in. It was just too stupid for them to pass up on.
- Okay, it was sweet that Bloom and Layla were ready to sacrifice themselves but why was Tecna able to go near the portal when they weren’t? Also, why did she get her Enchantix? Faragonda said they had to sacrifice themselves for someone from their own planets. Tecna isn’t from Tides!
- Musa seemed the most upset, though. Not that the others weren’t. But Musa was the one that flew in in an attempt to help Tecna and then just banged on the ground like that. Poor babies. All of them. (At least the Trix are happy... for now.)

I’m starting to think that what’s actually the problem of the Grishaverse, especially the TGT, is that there is a disconnect between the universe, the story and the marketing.
The Grishaverse is a grimdark fantasy world, filled with discrimination, inequality, slavery, war and violence, with political power held by absolutist monarchs and unscrupulous capitalists, where law serves to those with power and fucks over everyone else and where often, the only way to achieve justice is by taking it into your hands.
The story is marketed as a Young Adult fantasy adventure.
And the author wants to tell a fairytale romance story.
And it just doesn’t work.
There are three common ways to incorporate grimdark elements into media - glorification (aka “we’re totally not pandering to incels and psychopaths, pinky promise”), shock value and commentary, with most stories blending all three to some extent.
And the Grishaverse firmly falls into the “shock value” category, whether we’re talking about Zoya’s backstory or the horrors of the Ice Court.
But despite being a grimdark universe, the author still tries to force fairytale morality onto it, causing her protagonists to look like short-sighted, naive idiots and forcing her to bend the rules of the universe to the breaking point to make them win.

Let me introduce you to two characters:
The first is an immortal man. He’s ancient from human perspective, but he’s considered to be young and idealistic by other immortals. His life’s mission is to protect a wolrdwide opressed minority, that he belongs to. This ahs been his mission since he was 13 and he’s at least 500 now. He’s their guardian, their patron saint in many ways. He was almost killed for his power by his first friend and vowed to build a world where nobody ever needs to be desperate enough to do that. He’s a character driven by empathy, a strong sense of justice and a wish for world peace, the end of wars and discrimination, and he’ll stop at nothing to achieve that.
The second is an immortal woman. She’s still young, even by human standarts, but she has the potential to live forever. She’s an orphan, who fell in love with her foster brother. She’s a member of an opressed minority, but she’s revered for her powers instead of despised, through no action of her own. She doesn’t care for the opression of the rest of her kind, as it doesn’t affect her. She’s willing to do anything, even kill innocent people, to protect her brother/love interest. She’s immature, self-centered and short-sighted. She has a love-hate relationship with her powers, her desires, her social status and even her life itself. She likes having power and doesn’t think twice about using it for personal gain and satisfaction, but she despises having responsibility and the expectations her position gives her. She’s driven by her paranoia, her codependant and toxic relationship with her brother/love interest and by her internalized prejudice.
Tell me, which of these two characters sounds like the hero of the story and which like the villain?

Character motivations - Why so many people side with the Darkling
Character motivations are a big part of them - why they are liked, how their actions come across, so on and so forth. How motivation is written can make or break a character - and TGT fails at this spectacularly.
The motivations of the “good guys” are unclear at best and plot-dependant at worst, while the “bad guys” - the three that we’re introduced to - have extremely understandable and valid ones.
Motivations of the Darkling and his supporters:
Darkling: Wants to stop wars and persecution of the Grisha everywhere in the world.
Ivan: Wants to stop the endless wars that killed his entire family.
Genya: Wants to take revenge against her rapist and probably the people and system that enabled and furthered that abuse, for herself and all the man’s other victims.
Everyone else: Presumably either want end of the wars or Grisha persecution as well.
Motivations of Alina and her side:
Alina: Wants to live a quiet and peaceful life with Mal, sometimes, maybe. Or rule over Ravka as a Living Saint. Maybe. Possibly. Or die. It varies.
Mal: Want to bang Alina and have her undivided attention - preferably while she gets none herself, I guess. And maybe kill the Darkling because... he liked Alina? Is Grisha? Kills people? Unclear.
Zoya: The Darkling killed her only decent family members, so now she wants revenge (established retroactively).
Nikolai: Wants to rule Ravka, because the current monarch and the actual heir are incompetent assholes and he decided that the "Living Saint” is better ally than the “scary and evil Darkling”.
David: Doesn’t like killing people and feels bad for being part of a mass slaughter that included civilians.
Genya: ? Probably because the Darkling is the Black Heretic and therefore deserves a worse fate than her rapist, I guess.
Everyone else: “Darkling evil”? “Monarchy good”? Are Sun cultists? Who knows, certainly not the reader.
Motivations of miscelaneous other characters:
The royal family: Wants to keep their position of power.
The Apparat: Wants more power, which he plans to gain by controlling the Sun cult in Alina’s name.
Baghra: Wants to “redeem” her son, whatever that means. “Making sure he only cares about her, himself and nobody else” being a strong possibility for the meaning of it.
To be fair, I might be a bit hyperbolic with the lack of motivation on Alina’s side, but their motivations are really the muddiest.
And that’s an issue when they’re the ones who we’re supposed to root for.
Especially when the villain not only have much clearer motives, but they’re actually really fucking good ones.
The system is broken, the world is fucked up and full of prejudice and violence. The “villains” want to fix the system and have a concrete plan how, the “heroes” either want to keep it the same, don’t care about the issues or want to fix them, but their idea of how to do it is “ask the people commiting literal genocide to pretty please stop”.
I don’t know what else to call this but Boomer logic. In a book whose target audience is teenagers.
It’s no wonder so many people like the Darkling and his side better than Alina and hers.

Deep Dive: Diaspro!  Part one
Ah, Diaspro, the source of shoehorned-in shipping drama we love to hate! But what’s her real deal?  Is she a villain or a victim?
We start sixteen years ago, in season one.  Bloom just arrived in the magic dimension and met a handsome blonde specialist named… Brandon. While Stella’s been shippy for the past year with the brown haired Prince Sky. Remember, Stella is repeating her first year at Alfea.  She met the boys during her first first year, so the two of them have been swapped for an entire year!
The truth doesn’t come out until episode seventeen, “Royal Heartbreak” in 4Kids and “Secrets Within Secrets” in Rai. Yeah, we’re gonna look at all the dubs.
Bloom calls Sky to fix their relationship after the Trix tried to convince Sky that Bloom was a witch and he flipped out.  But Sky ends the conversation abruptly, and we see a hologram of Diaspro on his bookshelf.  I think this is the first time Diaspro appears in the series.
Sky asks Timmy for help.  In Rai he says straight out, “The girl I’ve got to marry, I don’t want to, I love Bloom!” 4Kids Timmy tells Sky to get out of town but Rai Timmy is more sensible and tells him to come clean to Bloom.  And wow, Riven comes up and tells Sky that Bloom isn’t worth it and they have a fistfight.  This show was more violent back in season one!
It’s the day of a big exhibition at Red Fountain, and everybody who’s anybody will be there.  In 4Kids it’s called the Day of the Royals. “Brandon” didn’t invite Bloom and “Prince Sky” didn’t invite Stella, so the girls sneak in. In 4kids Stella is talking about how when she and “Prince Sky” get married the alliance between Eraklyon and Solaria will create a huge and mighty empire.  Yikes.
Bloom literally runs into Diaspro, making her drop a hologram disc of Sky. The disc seems to be her phone, Disa’s literally on the phone with Sky. Diaspro sticks her nose in the air and forbids Bloom to even look at the hologram of “My boyfriend.”  She berates Bloom for ruining her entrance, calling her ‘peasant’ and assuming she’s a clumsy servant.
Bloom realizes this must be a trick by the witches!  Not totally irrational; the witches have been after Bloom this whole season
She delivers a note to Diaspro, calling her away.  A servant goes with them but Bloom casts a sleep spell on him and accuses Disa of being a witch.  When Diaspro’s just confused, Bloom transforms and attacks! She knocks Diaspro through a wall!  That’s assault, I think.  ^^; Diaspro transforms too.  They fight!  Bloom keeps accusing Diaspro of being one of the Trix and Diaspro defends herself and says who she really is.
The fight busts up through the ceiling which is the ground of the stadium where the boys are doing dragon wrangling.  Bloom and Diaspro appear in the sky where everyone can see them, still yelling and zapping away at each other.
Bloom knocks Diaspro to the ground and Sky runs to her.  And it alllll comes out.  This one is Sky and he’s the prince and Diaspro’s fiance.  Bloom sinks to the ground in defeat.  Sky does the “let me explain” thing but he doesn’t actually explain.
Erendor yells at the real Brandon, calling him a failure as a squire for not keeping Sky safe.  Oh, and Stella’s watching, the Winx are all hidden under the stands.  In 4Kids Erendor says, “We pay your tuition at Red Fountain so you can protect our son!”
In Rai we cut to Bloom moping and deciding to return to Earth and then the episode ends; in 4Kids we go to the Winx getting yelled at by Faragonda and Grizelda, then we get some more explanation from the girls.  Brandon and Sky switched identities before starting school at Red Fountain.  Musa says, ‘Word is he wanted to see what it’d be like to be a regular guy.  Like that’s a reason to be disrespecting my peeps.”  remember when Musa talked like that?  Stella declares she’s over “Sky.”  Bloom says she’s over boys, and the episode ends.
So far, Diaspro’s only guilty of being a stuck up jerk.  Which she IS, but she’s about to redeem herself.
Next time we see her is in episopde 19, as Red Fountain is under attack by the Army of Decay.  She come sin a flying ship with warriors from Eraklyon to rescue Sky.  She reminds him that he’s a prince and has duties to Eraklyon.  She throws down a rope for Sky, but he cuts the rope and shouts that his place is at Red fountain fighting to protect the magic dimension.
This Diaspro says, “Let these peasants fight for you!” but she’s not particularly mean.  Privileged as all get out, but not evil.
In episode 21 the boys rescue the girls on frozen Domino.  Stella forgives Brandon and hugs him.
Sky spills the beans.
4Kids Sky: “I just wanted to see what it would feel like to be a regular guy for once.  I didn’t mean to hurt you, I care about you.  That’s why I broke off my arranged marriage to Diaspro.”
Rai Sky: “Sorry about what happened.  I broke it off with Diaspro. To be honest I never really cared that much.  But Bloom you always said to me that I was your friend and nothing more and so I just… well… it doesn’t matter now.  Because I know what I want.  In any case I’m sorry about the Brandon/Prince Sky thing.”
So who’s the villain here?
Diaspro is a stuck up mean girl with no respect for “peasants” which probably means she and Sky aren’t a great match, but she didn’t do anything actually bad.  And later on she was right to try to rescue Sky and remind him of his responsibility as a prince.  So she’s a mean girl who can also be quite noble.
Bloom accused Diaspro of being a witch and attacked her, which is pretty bad but Bloom is also dealing with witches who have been messing with her all season so she has reason to be paranoid.
Sky gets most of the blame in my view.  I wouldn’t call him a villain, but he does seem a bit spineless.  Sky swapped places with Brandon, to see what a nonroyal life is like and it didn’t cause any trouble until both boys got in relationships.  But now Sky is two-timing his royal fiance and he’s let Princess Stella fall for the commoner Brandon under false pretenses.  The right thing would be for Sky to explain it all to Bloom and Stella. Sky could have put things on hold with Bloom while he ended the engagement with Diaspro honorably.  But he didn’t do that.  Sh let things slide… how did he think it was going to turn out?
I wish we’d seen more of Sky and Brandon discussing this.  Did Brandon want to come clean to Stella?  Was Sky scared to dump Diaspro for political reasons? How did they end up engaged in the first place?  Did Sky have feelings for Diaspro once?  Was she less of a mean girl when she was younger?
So that’s season one.  What do you think of Diaspro?  Villain? Victim?  Both?  I’ll continue tracking her character arc through the Winx universe… eventually.
