Captain Constantine and Lantern Nanaue, slamming together like four different continuities across four mediums in the name of love

It definitely does from what I've seen
It Suicide Squad 2, he's definitely comedic relief, but I think that could be said about a few different characters. Nanaue / King Shark did not speak a whole lot of English and was definitely painted as a stupid character 😭 mans had nothing going on upstairs, he was just hungry all the time
In The Harley Quinn show, he's described as "A tech-savvy shark demigod," and "he can switch from nerdy and tender to violent and aggressive very quickly. Typically, however, he is known to be friendly, smart, intelligent, and easy-going." He does NOT do good around blood, he actually murdered most of his brothers except one.
In the Flash, he was a meta-human. "Shay Lamden worked as a marine biologist on Earth-2. Around 2013, Shay was one of the people affected by Harrison Wells' particle accelerator, and the dark matter mutated his cells and he transformed into a half man/half shark creature nicknamed "King Shark". Shay's new nature as a human-shark hybrid also made him a cannibal, eating whoever was unlucky enough to cross his path." He was given the chance to take a cure but ends up choosing to stay as King Shark to help defeat a different villain to try and redeem himself. A lot of people said he did not have much personality in the flash besides being brutal.
I'm sure he's got a whole lot of personality in the comics, but I've only ever watched the movies and shows. I do think you could have a lot of fun with his character if you dig around for his comics or something. Also sorry this is so long and probably formatted weird 😭 I'm just copy and pasting from fandom wikis and I'm on my phone
-🐧
Wait if he didn’t speak English what language does he speak? Also ngl me and him both bc I do not know what’s going on at any point of time and I’m hungry all the time 🧍🏻
The blood part…… pls do not give me ideas bc Jesus Christ 🧎🏻♂️🧎🏻♂️ also he ate his brother??? Why😭 wait the cannibal part .. is it referring to him eating other sharks or eating other humans?
Also you did not format this weird sugar!! If anything I got a better understanding of him so thank you sm!! I will see what I can do with this information 👀 🖊️

I want your heart - King Shark X Tanya Lamden
I saw the King Shark VS Gorilla Grodd episode of the CW's flash and I thought it was good. The romance between Shay and Tanya was cute, and I'm like I gotta write something! This has mostly fluff.
Tanya walked down the hallway in Argus's aquarium. She brought some fish along with her that was meant for Shay. Before her relationship she saw him as her patient, but started to have feelings for him. She denied them until a smart and charming detective helped reveal her feelings for Shay. Shay and Tanya shared a wonderful kiss on the S.T.A.R. lab's balcony.
Even though Shay was her dead husband from another Earth she took the detective's advice and saw him for his personality and not the face that the man had. After defeating a villain who threatened to take over everyone's minds. Tanya was unsure where their relationship would be heading. He was technically a man-shark and couldn't be human ever again. He couldn't have the same lips as her race and they couldn't hold hands and walk in the city together. Despite all the major differences between them, she was still attracted to him and loved the heart the man had.
"Shay, what you did." Tanya said.
"I would do it again. For you...my love." Shay admitted in a deep voice with a loving gaze at her.
He still loved her despite everything that would happen between them. A shark-man and a human female couldn't be together, it was not logical, but she wasn't going to give up on him.
As Shay and Tanya both placed their hands on the tank's glass. His big hand would have easily engulfed hers. The glass was a barrier between them, it's what stopped them from having personal contact with each other.
With a small tear that slowly came down her cheek she said, "Shay, we'll make this work. I promise, I want you Shay, because I love you."
She put her head against the glass.
"Tanya, I love you so much. I won't let this body stop us from being together Tanya." Shay admitted as he put his head against the glass. If the glass wasn't in the way, their heads would be touching each other lovingly.
~~~~
Tanya stood above her boyfriend's tank with a bucket of fish in her hand. She saw a big figure slowly ascend towards the water's surface. Once his upper body was above the water's surface he slowly moved towards the love of his life.
"Tanya, what did you bring me today?" Shay asked in his usual deep voice.
Tanya lightly chuckled as she got down onto her knees to look eye to eye with Shay.
"I brought you some mackerel if that's okay with you." Tanya smiled as Shay lowered his head and approached the edge of the pool.
Tanya smiled as she petted the top of his head. "You know me so well, anything you bring me I'll eat my love." Shay commented.
Shay smelled her scent through his nostrils deeply. Sharks had a great sense of smell, and he could smell the perfume on her.
"You smell so good Tanya." Shay said as he put one of his clawed hands on her hair.
Tanya chuckled, "Don't be creepy Shay."
"Sorry it's just that your so irresistible." Shay teased as Tanya flicked water onto him.
Shay chuckled deeply as he laid his large head on the side of the pool. Tanya smiled as she petted the top of his head gently.
"I love you Shay," Tanya confessed.
"I love you too my treasure," Shay replied.
This story was just a little cute scenario I had in mind.
Okay, so I'm finally caught up on this week's Flash. Was it just me, or were Tanya Lamden and King Shark rocking a kind of June Moon and Killer Croc vibe? It was very sweet.
I liked the focus on consent, but the "previously on" felt like it was rewinding a lot of the progress Barry made with "Goldfaced". Don't get me wrong, I am usually down for Barry skating up to the edge of dark moral decisions or grim lonerdom, but not every other episode.
(Particularly not when he spent most of the last one in the Speed Force while Nora learned the important Allen family lesson of talking to the rest of your damn team.)
I'm not entirely sure I bought his flip at the end, either. I mean, I know that Barry (when not in the throes of a "shall I be dark --I shall not" plot) is basically a sweet guy who has an adorable amount of faith in humanity, but going from "how did you convince this other person to be good and self-sacrificing (unspoken: obviously you had to convince them)" to "making this offer to Cicada is obviously something I will go for cheerfully and freely" felt weird.
What I like about Barry, to be blunt, is that I believe he tries to be good and kind even when it hurts or is scary. Extending an open hand to the guy who kidnapped Iris last month? I could see it. I could. But I couldn't see it being easy.
THE DEFINITIVE KING SHARK READING ORDER, PRE-FLASHPOINT, NEW 52 AND MORE
DC Comics News brings you the definitive reading order, to date, for King Shark. Including all the Pre-Flashpoint issues, guest appearances and beyond ‘New 52’ and ‘Rebirth’. King Shark is a super-villain and humanoid shark. His father is Chondrakha the God of all Sharks, and his mother is a human woman. For years he acted as a serial killer in Hawaii before his presence was discovered by…
The Mythology of King Shark
I just remembered King Shark, the DC character, is based on the real yet obscure pacific legend of Nanaue, a boy who was born from a bond between a woman named Kalei and the Shark God Kamohoali’i.
Nanaue had a rough time growing up. Depending on the story, he either just had a living shark mouth on his back or could transform into a shark man like most people know him. He also had a shark’s appetite, and much like the Nanaue fans know today, would feast on islanders to sate his hunger. He was banished from his home island by his own father, moved to another one, and was eventually killed by vengeful villagers.
Despite his tragic end, the Shark man has become quite a popular character nowadays as an Anti-Hero thanks to his DC comics incarnation, despite people generally not knowing his folklore roots. His Hawaiian origins have even been used in the Harley Quinn animated series.
In other media outside DC, Nanaue was also featured in an episode of the HUB series, The Haunting Hour, titled “Pool Shark”. In this story, Nanaue isn’t the name of one Shark-hybrid, but a long lineage of Shape-shifting sharks who can live among humans. The protagonist Kai is one such being, and learns to embrace his heritage. While the episode wasn’t popular among fans, it’s still interesting how Polynesian mythology can be adapted for modern youth media.
Which if you think about it, makes King Shark’s Arrowverse incarnation in The Flash very lacking. He has a cool shark monster design, but otherwise there’s nothing that made him an interesting character. He’s not even Nanaue here. Instead of a Polynesian boy cursed with lineage that made him an outcast, King Shark is some white-guy scientist(ala the Lizard or Man-Bat) named Shay Lamden who became a monster from the particle accelerator explosion. He doesn’t have his comic counterpart’s boisterous pride(Nanaue in the comics would boast “I’m a Shark!”) and sense of humor, being just a generic snarling beast. When a minor spooky kid’s show is more faithful to the roots than the actual high-budget DC TV adaptation, that’s not a good sign.
With his upcoming premiere in the new Suicide Squad film, I can hope a cinematic incarnation of this character is both respectful of the comic source material, and the timeless, little-known legend that inspired him.
3 Reasons
Pairing: Harrison Sherloque Wells x Reader
Request: Hello! I was wondering if you could do an Sherloque Wells imagine where he slowly learns that the reader likes him by the reader’s body language/the way they act and later on confronts the reader about it? (Love your writing by the way!)
Tag: @demonstracija
A/N: I hope this is what you were expecting :), btw sorry if it’s short. Feel free to request something! I don’t own the gif, I found it on google.
You couldn’t understand how after meeting every single Harrison Wells that came through the last years, you had to fall head over heels for this one. There was something about Sherloque that called out for you, maybe it was his confidence or his ability to seduce, you couldn’t really tell what it was. But there was one thing you were sure of: you were doomed. You were never good at hiding what you are feeling, your facial expressions always gave away your thoughts. So being in love with a detective was one of the hardest things you had ever encountered since you were constantly trying to hide your feelings for him.
You heard a familiar voice breaking you out of your thoughts,
“Everything okay, ma dame?” asked Sherloque.
“Mm?- Yes. Sorry I was just thinking about Dr. Lamden with King Shark, or well now Shay.” You quickly lied.
He gave you a knowing glance, but continued anyway. “Oh oui, they are quite … intéressants to say the least.” He said.
You couldn’t speak much french, but it’s usually easy to translate some of the things he says.
“Really, How so?”
“She told me she didn’t love him, but something tells me otherwise.”
“What is it?”
“There are three main things that gave it away, really...” He said.
I gave him a signal for him to continue.
“Well, first...” He started and raised a finger, “... Everytime she talks to him her posture relaxes.”
Then he raised another finger “Second, her voice modulates when speaking of him.” Then he raised a third finger, “And last but not least, I’ve noticed the way she looks at him when he is not looking.”
“Oh…” At that moment you started to get nervous. If he had noticed that with a couple he just met, had he noticed that with you? Since you were never good at hiding your emotions, you were looking noticeably worried by now.
He stood up and went to leave the room, and as soon as you thought you were on the clear and you could relax he spoke,
“Just like I’ve seen you do with me, mon amour. But don’t worry I do the same thing with you.” He gave you a wink before he left you alone in the room, leaving you, a blushing mess, to think about what just happened.
