Below the cut is a long-drawn-out rant. I debated long and hard about doing this but I’m tired of keeping bottled up. So, I’m about to get messy as fuck and put all my business out there. Frankly at this point, I don’t even care. I tried to let it slide because I don’t like drama unless it’s in a sims story. However, at this point I have nothing to lose since apparently the people I once called friends stopped fucking with me anyway. 

I don’t know what’s being said in the private chats and DM’s, but I notice some interesting behavior ever since @shanisims posted her “goodbye post”. I don’t normally do callout post or bring personal drama out into the open, but my intuition tells me some shit is being said about me that ain’t true. Shanisims befriended me and we began chatting in the DM’s, then on Discord. We shared story stuff, personal stuff, then we started collaborating together. We swapped sims. I did some builds for her, and we collaborated on each other’s stories. She engaged in my content and vice versa. Then one day she just stopped. Once I noticed I stopped engaging too. Then next thing I knew... I was blocked on all platforms. I have another blog I use for shitposting that I follow my favs from. I really enjoyed her story, so I quietly continued to read it from there. At some point she alludes to a “beef” when she brings my OC’s persona into her story. She mentions that Bishop looks different because of “reasons”. Then she does it again later on in the story when Bishop is featured. My question was why allude to anything? No one was asking unless you want them to ask. 👀🤨 It was passive aggressive, calculated and cunning. Mind you whatever offense that allegedly took place happened over a year ago.  So, I decided to ask her what her problem was. I sent her message from that account, and I said it was me. I didn’t pretend to be anonymous. I wanted to know what her beef was with me and if she has such an issue with me that she had to block me why continue to use my sims, my builds and my character’s persona? I told her I felt used. She goes out of her way to be extremely friendly and overly helpful online then for whatever reason she just turns on you.  In the past I’ve been told by her and a few others that I am not afraid of confrontation, and that I can come off very blunt and direct. I’m 49 years old I don’t have time for games, and I try very hard to make sure I’m understood online. However, I do think, re-read, and re-write my words many times before I hit send so that they aren’t misinterpreted online since my tone can’t be heard.  All I know is not too long after her goodbye post went up, mutuals I have had online friendships and history with stopped engaging with my post. Some even unfollowed me. I don’t know what she’s telling these people. When I confronted her, she never responded. Instead, she played victim and did a goodbye post. You would’ve thought I bullied her, pulled up to her house and was outside ready to fight or something. I’m also calling out some of my so called “mutuals” cough cough @storiesbyjes2g and @ladybugsimblr​ because in the year 2023 where online friendships are no longer considered a foreign concept, people like y’all will happily discard them instead of doing the hard work of confronting, communicating, accountability, honesty and resolving. Instead, you hid behind platitudes like “protecting my peace” or pretend to be cool just to go radio silent afterwards. But I’m just some random lady on the internet so, who gives a fuck right? This goes for anyone else that may have passed judgement on me regarding Shani without knowing all the facts. I still don’t even know what happened! Take away from this what you will but I wanted to put it out there because I’m hurt and felt like being a petty bitch. Now here is real drama you can “protect your peace” from.

First I have to honor the bestie 💖🌟@crimewriter💖🌟 who I'm always discussing messy scenarios with.

Patricia Carosella ( @crimewriter's main oc ) and Salvatore have a messy, consistently non-sexual, non-romantic relationship. The funny thing is they're both fire signs. Pat's an Aries, Sal's a Leo, and I feel their compatibility is reflected in their dynamic. When these two get along, things are great. But when these two clash, things are awful. And believe me, in every AU I've created with crimewriter they're bound to clash and call each other names. In contrast to that, Patricia and Eve have a much calmer, significantly better dynamic. But admittedly more of the intrigue in their dynamic comes when I depict Eve outside of her 20s, because she's a calm figure - if not a maternal figure - Pat looks to. Then there's the Brazilians...Franco and Pilar are longtime friends due to their families knowing each other. In the present, Pilar is the wife of an (incarcerated) cartel head and I'm not gonna lie, Franco aspires to have his childhood companion's heart and money. He really does care about her though. It's not just about money, though money helps.

Both of us have already said that Linda is an honorary Belle of Pearl and definitely Pamela's bestie. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ While this itself implies a lot of things about their adventures I believe that this would mean Eve would have been in the midst of Deonne and Junior when she was young. Eve always shied away from boys growing up so she would have kept her distance from Junior. Instead, she would've admired Deonne so much. Deonne is older than her, prettier than her, Eve would have wanted to dress like her, wear her hair like her! It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Eve - as the only girl in the midst of many male cousins - would subconsciously create this imagined ideal form of Deonne who would be her big sister. As an adult, Eve's love for Deonne would have significantly calmed down. Yet, she would continue thinking Deonne is so pretty and respectable. Of course, this love would plummet if news about the Winterfest party came out. With all of this said, I definitely feel like Renee and Eve would become great friends. They're both loving girls who are navigating young adult life! 💖And, if she learned of Junior's previous relationship with Renee - well, let's just say Eve has to distance herself from Junior too. A side note - Tierra would love Nezuko too!! They would all be great friends! I could talk about so many more dynamics in a HFL and Dear Diary crossover but I'm gonna end it here. 😅

We've discussed Sal and Frank knowing each other as kids in the broke (Tartosan) part of Newcrest. The frequent pregnancies of Frank's mama were a hot topic spoken by Sal's mom Stefani at the hair salon. We also discussed how Sal and Frank's moms argued about WHO was a bad influence on WHO, refusing to recognize both of those boys were too mischievous for their own good. It was easy for Sal to make friends as a kid, but it didn't deter him from being sad when Frank moved to San Myshuno. But let's go a little deeper into this - When a teenage Sal goes to San Myshuno to visit some cousins and reconnects with Frank, he doesn't feel like he belongs with John's crew. Initially, Sal tried to roll with them, laugh with them, but he felt like an outsider since he isn't from San My. As a Leo, he also hated how John was the leader. He hated how John's family was rich. He hated how John saw Frank every day. 😢 This would lead to Sal thinking, 'oh he's not really tough he's just a snobby ass kid' and eventually challenging his authority. Real stupid teen boy stuff right here. In adulthood, Sal definitely meets up with Frank whenever he's in San My. If he planned to move there, Frank is the first guy he would message when looking for an apartment. As a grown man, he's over his petty dislike of John, but the fact John has went to college and had a nice job as an architect does have Sal (silently) like '😒 course he did.' I don't know if John will ever go on a pilgrimage to Tartosa but I do feel like there would be good vibes between the Russo and Nicosia family. While the Nicosia aren't crime affiliated - moreso taking a neutral stance towards 'politics' of that nature, I wouldn't be surprised if John's grandmother and Gigi's paternal grandmother had an excellent dynamic of some sort. Either that, or somewhere in history, they had ancestors who were married, making them distant cousins? I do think Damiano and John would get along well - John has good fashion sense, Damiano would dress sharp if he wasn't in Terra Amorosa, John would protect his brother at any cost, Damiano would protect Gigi at any cost. In the faaaaaar future, having a contact in Tartosa could be very useful for business.

I'm going to answer for the DH gang as usual ^^

Destiny and Leïla both love birthdays. It's a good way for them to organize the best day for their loved ones. Destiny is more into parties and Leïla into familial events.

Halloween and midsommar are the witches favs aka Leïla, Halette and Denise, also Chester mainly for occult reasons. Renji is also a huge fan of this holiday since he's a kid. He loves the weirdness of it and now that he's a vampire, it's the only night he can feel a bit "human" so ...

Aïssa and Hiro are more Christmas fans as it's a time for nostalgia, family and good food. Hiro also loves to receive presents, Aïssa loves to make them and see how people react on it.

Milo loves love so ... Valentine day and Pride month are probably what makes him the happiest. Even though he spends most of his Valentine days alone, he still loves the power of love around.

Last one, Soraya, she's a huge lover of Ramadan and especially Eïd at the end. She loves to makes all her family recipes and invites friends and family to celebrate this special events together. It's also a good occasion for both Asham sisters to get closer and talk about their personnal issues.

I have not thought very much about the holidays in Armorica. I've established New Year's Day as a big holiday, and there is enough about the setting that is ambiguously Catholic that I think there would likely be a lot of holidays grounded in religious tradition, even if the modern-day celebrations are largely secular.

I'm a little hesitant to bring real holidays into my setting because it drags real world history and religion into the setting...if there is christmas in armorica, does that imply the existence of sim jesus? do i want to open that can of worms? am I the only person who thinks about this on this level? (answers: yes, no, perhaps)

anyway. i'm sorry, but my answer is that i have not done enough worldbuilding to be able to say what holidays exist in armorica and what any given character feels about them. i do not have an answer to this question,

Kai - any holiday that brings his family, extended family, and friends together.

Melisa - Winterfest, she's always reminiscing about what Winterfest was like for her growing up. She loves the time spent decorating with the boys, and giving gifts to others brings her a lot of joy.

Wade - Winterfest, but for a different reason than his mom. He likes to be on the receiving end of those gifts that his mom wants to give. Other than that, he likes Spooky Day a lot.

Mase - As a kid, Mase really seemed to like Spooky Day. Getting dressed up is fun for him, although he used to fear the 'spookier' aspects of the day.

Drake - Mischief Day is an excuse to play all the pranks he gets in trouble for on ordinary days.

Melany LOVES Winterfest. When she was little, she got up early to sneak presents. Now that she's grown grown, she still sneaks presents lol. Apart from the presents, she loves the togetherness and fun of it all.

Nick is all about Harvestfest because Yvonne puts her whole leg into the dinner lol. The man loves to eat good food and will eat until he passes out. Apart from the food, he loves the purpose of the holiday since he is generally someone who is constantly counting his blessings.

hi! i'm so sorry this is so late, but it's a fun ask especially for rosalie lmao. rosalie has A LOT of clothes, she is in the stylist career so having clothes is kind of her thing. i try to give her 3-4 every day outfits, and then the other outfits have 2.-3 since she's living in sulani, it mostly contains either a mini or maxi skirt, but winter is a little rainy so i changed it up a bit. it might be impossible to wear everything she has, but she tries her best lol. thank you for the ask!!

Eleanor’s favorite holiday is New Years. She loves their family tradition of going up to their family chateau and being away from royal duties and responsibilities. It’s a time for them to unwind and be themselves.

Hello it's me and I'm in your "Asks" ☺️

What/who made you come to simblr and what/who made you stay?

Hello!! I'm pretty sure when I came to simblr I had no idea who to follow beyond cc makers, specifically @ebonixsims & @xxblacksims. My simblr account was born due to the fact I had purchased TS4 for the first time and I wanted to make a cute bedroom for Eve, as I was procrastinating on cleaning and decorating my own bedroom. That was it! That was literally it! 😂

So I was just following random simblr blogs, and eventually I saw the storytelling community due to a reblog or something. I thought it was so interesting, because like everybody else when I played the sims I constructed a narrative in my head and to see people took their narratives seriously I thought, "okay, I want to try that too."

Also, in my childhood I loved to play games like Disney's Magic Artist Cartoon Maker where you just placed 2D stickers of Mickey Mouse and friends on a background, so I'm not surprised storytelling became the thing I felt the most passionate about. 😂

What made me stay were two things. The first was the stories I found by other people and the second thing is the bonds I formed with them, once I got out of my shy state, that is.

Although I had read a hand few of stories, @rebouks definitely had the first story that stuck out to me. Both in terms of narrative and visuals! @cinamun's story was the second story I became full-heartedly obsessed with. I saw a handful of posts back when Hope was a kid, and like...the characterization was so strong with Indya, Darren, and Lil' Hope that eventually I got curious about who they actually were and read the story from the beginning. And let me say reading Things Fall Apart from start to finish was the most inspiring thing as a new storyteller who didn't have editing skills that were exactly good. Because cin's editing was n o t h i n g like it is now and with each past post I read, I saw how she experimented with new things, slightly tweaked Indya's appearance over the years. But more than that, I noticed how her story grew in terms of readers. TFA did not always get a lot of notes. It was truly a, "okay, if Cin can progress like this, I can too. If Cin can grow like this, I can too." But yeah, rebouks and cinamun are absolutely my biggest inspirations with visuals and editing. And the fact they're both very sociable people when you message them was also encouraging, because there wasn't a sense of elitism that you can find in other fandoms spaces. This made me feel welcomed and like I wasn't a pest.

After that, I read more stories which led to me creating really strong friendships! Like, Hungry for Love by the user formally known as shanisims always stands out to me. That was another story I loved and obsessed over lmao I said it recently but @straightouttasimulation is a reason why I add prose to my story caps and she's even the reason why I attempted to do gifs. Because SHE started experimenting with gifs first! And then to see how she could pull them off, I thought: "okay, let me give it a try." All and all, she's a great mutual. I love her dearly. Then I met @digital-deluxe who shared my love for the mafia genre, and shortly after I think I began talking to @ardeney-sims. Tags led me to meet @swiftviolets who was also into the mafia genre and of course, @havenroyals and I started clicking a lot! And there's so many more people I love and cherish that I'm mutuals with [but I don't wanna like, tag everyone] BUT THE POINT IS I don't think I would be excited to log onto my dashboard if it weren't for the people I talk and joke around with. Even though it's good to try and like...be there for everybody in a community because people can feel overshadowed or neglected, communities are really about the people you vibe with the most because they're the ones who directly impact your experience.

I put a little of myself into every one of my OCs, but perhaps some more than others.

I can relate to how Kai likes to be drama free and keep things civil in his life. He only has one or two people that he considers close friends, and he prefers to keep it that way. I'm definitely like that.

With Me-Me, I can relate to the way she's sort of quiet but gives really good, wisdom-filled advice when asked (not trying to pat myself on the back, but I put my heart and full passion into any advice I give someone).

Wade, Mase, and Dray are slightly spoiled being raised in a rural, stable, two-parent household. I wasn't raised in a rural environment but in the suburbs. We weren't rich by any means, but I didn't have to want for much just like the Banks boys.

Peri is no longer around but is my favorite OC, so I'll mention her too. Peri is bolder than I am - but I still share her creativity and ambition. I want to be one of the best at everything I do. But not in a way that puts other people down, but rather to inspire them to be their best too!

I think I can relate to most of my OCs in some way. Melany and I are both perfectionists and way too nice. I can relate to Nick's shyness and hesitance to speak up. I am not as bougie as Nadia, but I definitely have bougie tendencies lol. Also, when I'm in a petty mood, I might shoot off some sharp quips. 😅 I can relate to the way Kameron needs to "perform" in public while being very introverted. Anissa is fiercely loyal, and I'm definitely that way. Me and Jorden are alike in how we don't really care about celebrities and what they do. He also has this attitude like, this is me...I don't have to explain myself...take me or leave me. That's a stance I've been taking more and more over the last 5 or so years.
