She looked around seeing a space marine suit in the corner as this man was indeed a space marine. "Vixen! You made it." He said with excitement in his voice as he got up and embraced her. She tensed for only a moment but relented as she felt safe in his arms. She leaned into the safe haven with a sigh as his fingers played with her hair.

"I made it..." She whispered, "Who are you?" She felt bold enough to ask.

He tipped up her mask as he ran his fingers over her face with a shuttering breath. "I am Alpharius... but this is a lie." He said kissing her when she was shocked but she pushed back.

"What do you mean that's a lie! Keeper?! You're my stalker?" She demanded as he just looked down her amused.

"One and the same but I've already told you my name." He says before he leads her away from the large monitor. He places her on a bed as he pulls her clothes away from her skin. She finally notices how much pain she is in... the way the bruises are a disgusting purple color.

The room was plain but her eyes kept wandering over to where there were pictures of her... some of them before she donned the mask... some of them when she wasn't being Vixen. She could see a few photos where she was kissing someone else and how that other person had a knife hole through them... clearly not a fan of whomever was having her affection.

Her eyes glanced away from the photo and unfortunately landed on a pile in the corner of her clothes. Vixen thankfully was pulled away by pain as she looked down at him applying a bandage to her side. "There we go. Right as rain."

"You said I knew your name... How?"

"Do you really need a hint? You slaved over it for several days and honestly I'm flattered it didn't take you so long to figure it out."

Vixen frowned for a moment before it slipped past her lips, "Omegon?"

He grinned down at her and his eyes seemed to glow slightly as he looked at her with what many would call "bedroom" eyes. For Omegon it sounded like the sweetest creature saying his name so softly. He loved humanity he always had he was there to keep it safe... just as he had been but being the invisible hand gets lonely. He leaned it and took a small kiss from his Vixen trying his best to not hurt her. He had had many Vixens in his life... he pushed his face against her throat letting out a soft sigh of enjoyment.

"When can I go home Omegon?" Vixen asked softly and he looked at his tired little vixen.

"When you feel better I'll take you home. Get some rest." Omegon said softly and sweetly.

And just like every other order Vixen had been given... she still obeyed because she felt safe... she always felt safe with him.

"Come with me," says the boy, and you hasten to listen, as he takes you to the cement blocks rippling outward into the woods and the tank treads blustered upon them without passing through; to the history of Khasza's victories, pay no mention to the reason of them.

"Come with me," says the boy, as he stands upon the blockage, hands stretched, a hold on the world, and you clamber up to match him, half your height again and worn boots digging into the aggregate stone, and you see him, and you see how he is protecting you in the only way he knows how. 

"Come with me," says the boy, and you do, and you do, as he takes you away from home and shows you open veins and catacomb skulls and resonance alleys so that you might survive where others will not, and it is not the right choice, nor the correct choice, but it is the kindness he has left to give.

"The UK is looking to ban plastic wet wipes that clog up the country’s sewers.

Under a plan to tackle water pollution, the government is launching a public consultation on whether to get rid of plastic wipes. Some retailers like supermarket Tesco and health and beauty company Boots have already stopped selling them in favour of biodegradable alternatives.

Although these alternatives are available, most products still contain plastic which doesn’t break down, sticks together and can create something known as a fatberg. These rock-like masses of waste matter form in the sewer systems from non-biodegradable solids, oil, grease and fat.

Environment Minister Therese Coffey told the BBC that the proposal was to “ban plastic from wet wipes”. She added that the consultation was a “legal requirement” to make sure that they can go ahead with the ban.

The ban should come into force next year following the consultation.

The consultation on whether to ban wet wipes is part of the UK government’s Plan for Water which was published on Monday (3 April).

It is intended to improve water quality in the country and also includes measures like restrictions on some kinds of polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) - also known as ‘forever chemicals’ - in textiles, cleaning products and other items.

The government also announced earlier this week that water companies could face unlimited fines for releasing untreated sewage into waterways without good reason."

Thank you for the question! This is quite a difficult question, as there are many people and many jobs and very many of them are not at all desirable. However I think there is one Kishite job that is particularly bad.

Sushkun (Literally, Shit men)

The sewage and waste of the city of Labisa has historically been transported out of the city via slopping subterranean tunnels beneath the city which run into the great lake, somewhat similar to a modern sewer. Holes lead from the streets of the city down into these tunnels, allowing for the quick disposal of waste. The system works relatively well, so long as the tunnels are kept clear and any blockages are dealt with. This is where the Sushkun comes in.

Sushkun are those, typically poor, people who are tasked with upcoming the movement of sewage through the city, venturing down into the tunnels to push and scrap the tons of garbage and sewage which collect there down towards the lake. Their job often also includes retrieving the bodies of vagabonds, travelers, pets, and children who may have had the misfortune of falling down one of the holes, a not uncommon occurrence.

There is no modern protective gear, and often due to the build up of gasses, it is too dangerous to carry fire down into these tunnels. As such it is not unusual for the Sushkun to go about their reeking work in the pitch black.

Death is not uncommon, and it is in fact a relatively common outcome. Infections from broken pottery shards, suffocation from a particularly bad patch of gas, drowning (whether in the tunnels or being carried to the lake), or occasionally being dragged away by some monstrous thing which has taken residence in the muck, these all claim the lives of Sushkun.

For their work, these workers are paid handsomely, sometimes almost as much as a scribe. However, they often live as social pariahs, never quite able to shed the stench of their profession. They are actively avoided by most, and many live short and lonely lives. The job is so undesirable and yet so necessary, that historically the king of Labisa himself has been tasked with appointing Sushkun, often based on those unable to or late in paying taxes. Should this work not be undertaken, the city will quickly be overcome with muck and filth, as could be seen with Hutbari's Labisa, where the piles on the sides of streets rose as high as men in some places, as the king neglected to select new Sushkun.
