Hellooooooo
Alright I got a weird AU idea not sure what to call it but it involves one of our favorite things ✨pregnant dream✨
So Dream decides he would like to retire and become an immortal human like Hob. one problem though, he’s got no heir to the dreaming and he can’t use Daniel (for plot reasons idk) so Hob hearing “heirs” has something light up in his old peasant brain and he’s like “what if we make em the old fashion way?” Dream agrees under the condition that if the child is not fit to usher the dreaming they will keep having children until one of them is ready and willing.
The first child is Determination of the Endless (I mean he’s Hob’s kid after all) they also give their children human names because they will spend about equal amounts of time in the waking as the dreaming (and Dante looks less suspicious on a birth name than Determination does) the next kid is Deception of the Endless (hob blames his mercenary days for that one) he’s a really sweet kid though, they name him Dimitri, (might as well stick to a theme at this point) they learn that the children have developed their own realms albeit smaller than their older Endless family members. Then something happens. Delight is born, this reassures them that a new being can take on an old endless moniker and Auntie Delirium is happy to show Delia (Delight) the ropes. They get another sweet docile baby girl and are surprised to learn she’s Destruction (it makes more sense in her toddler years) her name is Daphne. Than Hope is born. (This is ENTIRELY Hob’s Fault) Hob is a little confused as to why she is the only endless without a D at the start of her function. Then it’s time to name her.
“I mean we could just call her Hope, it’s a human girl’s name and it would be one less name to remember.” Hob chirps cuddled up with dream and the new baby who is the spitting image of Hob.
“Hmmm” Dream rumbles.
“I was thinking she doesn’t need to follow the tradition of a D human name.” He says shifting closer to Hob.
“Really? Do you have any suggestions?”
Dream hums in response like he hasn’t been planning this for the past nine months.
“I was considering perhaps…Roberta?”
Hob gasps softly. “Really, you want to name one of the little ones after me?”
“Look at her, she has your light, Hob”
Hob and Roberta become thick as thieves after that. A nearly inseparable father-daughter duo. Hob and Rob (although she prefers Robbie)
Then the sixth baby arrives, Dante is in his twenties at this point, (they had the kids farther apart so each of them could get proper attention but still close enough for a proper sibling bond)
This baby to everyone’s shock is Dream of the Endless, at least dream of the endless jr.
“Hob!” Dream calls from his bed.
“Yes darling?” Hob immediately runs into the room, he’s at dreams beck and call (I mean he ALWAYS is but especially after a new baby is born)
“What’s wrong? Is everything alright?”
Dream beckons for Hob to climb into bed with him and hands him the baby. He’s an absolute carbon copy of dream.
“Oh, he looks just like his father,”
“That means he’ll have the attitude of his Papa” Dream retorts.
Hob sticks his tongue out, “you love me.”
“Now what’s this one’s function?”
“Dream,”
Hob stares at his husband in awe, “you mean this is it? You’ve got a proper heir now? Aw, I was hoping to at least get four more hoblings out of you,”
Dream snickers, “just because I have an heir doesn’t mean I want to stop having children, Hob Gadling,”
Hob lights up, “you mean it?”
Dream nods, “besides it’s quite odd to only have six new endless, it should be seven like the original,”
“Seven? I can do that!”
They nickname the baby Drowsy of the Endless so no one gets confused, his human name is Dorian.
“No Dream I’m not putting Morpheus the second on a birth certificate that’ll get us flagged for sure”
The final child, the seventh endless is…
“Danger”
“You’re kidding,”
“No this child is Danger of the Endless”
“You just ran out of D words tell me his real function you git,”
“This is your son, Danger, Hob Gadling”
Hob sighs, “We just got all of Destruction’s stuff cleaned up, you’re telling me I have to parent a toddler whose natural tendency is towards danger?” Hob groans.
“Isn’t that all toddlers?” Dream smirks as Hob buries his face in his hands.
They name him Damien and he is a proper little hellion but the perfect edition to their little family and the next generation of Endless.
I just think the giant family dynamic is fun. I’d write a fic but I’m retired from fanfic writing. Thought I’d drop this off as an another Hob and Dream have a large family au.
-🦎
The Hoblings 😭😭 I'm absolutely in love with this whole au!!! I love the idea of a new generation of Endless, its so lovely.
Imagine their interactions with Dream's siblings! Ollie would be so good with the new Destruction and Danger, and Desire would have great fun with Deception. I bet Delirium would be so overjoyed to meet the new Delight. It takes a village to raise a child and it will certainly take the whole family to raise a gaggle of half human, half Endless kiddos.
Dream and Hob are wonderful parents, which is to say - they fuck up a lot and the house is always a mess, but they love their kids so fiercely. Hob and Roberta and Determination are an absolute disaster trio. Dream and little Drowsy spend most of their time silently judging the shenanigans.
I just love the idea of the new generation of Endless getting this loving, amazing childhood that Dream and his siblings never really had. Of course things aren't perfect, but there's so much love in the house. Hob is so proud of Dream and their kids, and he feels so grateful to get this second chance at a family. Watching their children grow and become the best versions of themselves is a reward he knows he doesn't deserve, but he's endlessly thankful to the universe anyway <3

Game Night
Summary: Bruce Banner and his four children spend some quality time together playing board games, but things escalate very quickly.
Warnings: Cussing, sibling fights, UNO
Characters: Bruce Banner + OC Marvel Children
A/N: I got this idea from one of my prompts on my last post and I thought It’d be so fun to write one out :)) *also, I use one of my marvel OC’s who’s Bruce’s daughter in another AU story I’m writing which you can find on this link ;)
Bruce Banner heard the sound of thunder and looked out the windows of the lab. The rain had been pouring all day long, creating floods in the streets of New York City, backing up sewage and keeping everyone inside. It was nearing five o’clock, but the sky was so dark it could’ve been eight. He decided to call it quits when he heard one of his four children groan all the way down the hall. Jarvis was shocked to see Bruce leaving at such an early time, because usually he left before eight and crept back in after midnight after his children were asleep. Bruce loved spending time with his children, but there were days when they all needed a break from each other. Today was exhausting from being locked up inside Uncle Tony’s tower, with the power knocked out and no cellular service no matter how high the children raised their phones.
Tony wasn’t home at the moment as he was at a conference in Miami, and Bruce didn’t feel like taking the elevator all the way down to the basement. So, he decided to follow the complaints of his children until he entered the common room where they all sat lazily on the couches and chairs. Bruce’s twins, Roberta and Will sat at opposite ends of the couch, hands over their eyes as they groaned in agony from the broken WiFi. Amara, the youngest, was doodling in her sketchbook on the floor next to the coffee table, but it was evident that she had been following a Bob Ross tutorial before the video started freezing on her laptop. Her paint palette was still open and her dirty brushes scattered around the garbage bag her painting was atop of. “I guess the rain does do good,” Bruce chuckled, looking between his twins. “Remember me?” Roberta groaned, “Not now Bruce, I was watching Criminal Minds and the killer was just about to be found, and now I’m sad,” Bruce chuckles, approaching his son, Will, the older twin. “And what were you doing?” “I was playing Cup Pong on Game Pigeon with Savannah,” he muttered under his breath. Roberta cackled, “Imagine him asking her out and then sending Anagrams!” This made Amara giggle as she started to collect her paint materials to clean up. Will rolled his eyes as Roberta kept making jokes. “At least I don’t send out of context memes to my crush,” Will retorts. “What?” Bruce asked, oblivious to his children’s world. “Ollie and I are best friends—” she quickly turned to Bruce and scowled. “We will never date!” “Never say never,” Amara quietly giggled. “You’re a sixth grader, you don’t know anything about love,” Roberta snaps. “Sixth grade relationships are dumb. One day you have a boyfriend, the next you think you’re already in love with them,” “Sounds a lot like you and Tyler Kipplin,” Albert, the eldest of the Banner children retorted upon entering the room. “Whole city’s out of power, just after the WiFi stopped working I couldn’t write my paper, and now I don’t want to strain my eyes trying to do other homework in the dark,” “Weird Al came out of his cage,” Will said, standing up from the couch. “Boo hoo,” Roberta frowned mockingly. “Bert’s never going to become a doctor, just a bigger disappointment to Dad,” "At least I’ll have a job that’s doesn’t involve cleaning the streets of New York!” Albert snapped. Roberta slammed her feet on the carpet and stood up with her fists curled. Her brown eyes began to turn a bright green. “STOP SAYING I’M GOING TO BECOME A GARBAGE MAN!” “Garbagewoman,” Amara corrected. Bruce waved his hands and shook his head. “Hey! Hey! Let’s not attack each other, calm down! Let’s find something fun we can all do,” “I want to paint,” Amara sighs. “When the power comes back on we can sweetie, but let’s all do something fun!” Bruce looked around the room, and sure enough the dresser underneath the TV stand was filled to the brim with board games. “Hell no,” Roberta snapped. “What?” Bruce asked, holding out Candy Land. “Let’s find a game we can all play!” “I hate board games Dad,” “I hate that you’re constantly nagging and whining,” Bruce snaps. Roberta scoffed as her brothers chuckle and Amara scoots closer to the couch, still sitting on the floor. Bruce pulled out a small deck of red cards in a red box. “Let’s play UNO,” “No,” Will retorted. “Why?” “Robbie always looks at my cards,” “That’s because you always hold them out in front of you so everyone can see!” Roberta shouts. “I’m going to my room,” Albert waves off. “No,” Bruce irritatingly chuckles. “We are having fun family game night whether you all want it or not,” The Banners all sat in a circle with seven cards in their hands and a big deck in the middle, with candles lit all around them for a source of light. “Youngest to oldest,” Bruce said as he turned to Amara on his right. “Good,” Roberta scoffed. “Dinosaurs last,” “Or we could do brattiest to kindest,” Bruce jokingly glared at Roberta, who rolled her eyes with a small smile. Amara pulled a blue card from the deck, and the game started. There were a few practice rounds for the kids who couldn’t remember how to play, and suddenly when everyone knew what to do the game got interesting. The kids started to bet on who did their chores and who would be their servant for a day. “No! No, no, no, no, no!” Will shouted as Amara placed down the ‘add four’ card. “That’s not allowed! Albert gets the four!” “If a player has the same card, they can add it on their turn and the cards go to someone else!” Albert yells, laughing. Bruce chuckled, but he tried to hide it as he saw his son’s skin look pale green. “You’ll get them next time Will,” Bruce laughed as Will drew sixteen cards. “Bullshit,” Will muttered. Soon, it was Amara getting mad. “You can’t take away the card you placed down!” Roberta flashed the yellow ‘skip a turn’ at her younger sister. “I can and I will because it’s my turn!” “You just want an UNO because I have an UNO,” “Why do you care about the card? You’re not even getting skipped!” “By the chances of Dad I could lose and I haven’t won a single game!” Amara was protective of her cards, and no one had seen what they were and she never hinted. No one could tell what her play pattern was, and by the look of her heterochria brown and green eyes, Bruce played a normal number card that was green. Amara looked down at her card, her face blank until she slammed the card down onto the pile. “SUCK IT!” She screamed. Bruce laughed seeing all his children scream and fall on their backs in agony. Albert had his hands at his blonde hair, Roberta was laying face down on the carpet cussing, and Will slammed his hands against the ground. "Another game?" Bruce asked. "Bullshit," Will mumbled, standing up. "I'm going to pop a Lays chip bag before I pop a whole in the wall," "Do that second one you're grounded--clean up the mess from the first!" Bruce called to his son. "Bring some popcorn!" Roberta yells, lifting her head up from the carpet. "Let's play a game that won't set Junior Hulk off," Bruce chuckles, his head nudging in the direction Will walked. "Allie gave me something for my birthday last year and I haven't played it since," Albert said, standing up. "What is it?" Bruce asked.
***
"Yes," Tony said into the phone as he stepped out of his car. "I'd like to have those reports by Thursday. . .thanks doll," He entered the tower with Happy at his side in the elevator, explaining how well the conference went. "There was something about physics in there, and I wish I had Bruce with me, but he really needed to get his work done. Hopefully his ankle biters didn't bother him," Tony joked. He loved the kids, and as their godfather he swore to make fun of them for as long as he lived. "Actually," Happy chuckled. "The power went out, and I wasn't here when it happened. No sure what he or the kids did. I didn't see the tower regenerate power from home either," Tony chuckled, "Bruce doesn't like going all the way down to the basement. He's so kind and willing to do anything, but also just so lazy at times. Can't blame him though, four rascals is a lot," The elevator doors parted, and the moment Tony looked into the room he froze. His couches and chairs were half torn and tossed around, his bar table was crushed, and his piano was stuck sticking out in the wall. As he and Happy walked out in the room, looking around in awe and confusion, Roberta and Amara ran out from the hall in their battle suits, and upon seeing Tony gave fake smiles and cheeky laughter. "Hey T-Bone!" Roberta nervously chuckled. "What are you doing home so early?" "Is that a new suit?" Amara asked. "Glasses? Go-tee? Did you shave?" Tony looed around in shock, and before he could say anything, Roberta laughed. "Oh! You're probably wondering about the room!" she nervously played with her hands. "We had family game night," "And you wrecked my home?" "No," Amara said. "Dad and Will wrecked you're home. . .well, Hulk and Hulk Jr." "They battled it out more once we got them in the Hulk tank," Roberta explained. "You couldn't get them in there sooner?" Tony asked, raising his voice. "We didn't know they were changing! It was funny how it all happened, we didn't know they were actually fighting!" "Where's Albert?" "Keeping an eye on both of them from the watch room," Amara answered. Tony sighed and walked off down the hall in the direction of the Hulk Tank, also known as the cool down room, muttering incoherently in anger. "What game were you guys playing?" Happy asked, approaching the girls. "Tenzi," Amara answered. "What's that?" "Apparently a very infuriating game in the Banner family," Amara replied, looking around at the mess.

For the week of 3 June 2019
Quick Bits:
Batman #72 essentially gives a bit of recontextualization for what has been going on during the series, giving a summation of events, in this third part of “The Fall and the Fallen” from Tom King, Mikel Janín, Jorge Fornés, Jordie Bellaire, and Clayton Cowles. It’s all right, with some glorious artwork as always, but it kind of feels like we’re treading water here.
| Published by DC Comics
Bettie Page: Unbound #1 builds on what’s come before and the magic of her unicursal hexagram pendant, but you needn’t have read anything previously as this first issue does a good job of weaving in the relevant information to inform this adventure. I quite like what David Avallone, Julius Ohta, Ellie Wright, Sheelagh D, and Taylor Esposito have been doing long term with Bettie Page and this is another fun start to the next chapter, blending Lovecraftian horror with a jaunt through pastiches of Dynamite’s current properties.
| Published by Dynamite
Birthright #36 returns from the trade break with the start of the next stage in dealing with the weakening walls between realms and what terrible things may happen as magic keeps building up on the threshold of our world. The artwork from Andrei Bressan and Adriano Lucas remains absolutely stellar as they, Joshua Williamson, and Pat Brosseau continue one of the best fantasy adventure series that strangely keeps flying under the radar.
| Published by Image / Skybound
Black Cat #1 is a highly entertaining debut, leaning hard into history and heists, with three tales spotlighting the Black Cat and the Black Fox. Jed MacKay pens two of the tales, one in the present illustrated by Travel Foreman, one in the past by Mike Dowling, both coloured and lettered respectively by Brian Reber and Ferran Delgado, that play stylistically off one another as they build up the respective crews and show them in action. There’s also a very cute two-page heist with cats by Nao Fuji.
| Published by Marvel
Buffy the Vampire Slayer #5 begins a long dark night for Xander’s soul as he’s struggling with overcoming the demon trying to take control as a vampire. Great bits building what he means to Buffy and Willow. David López takes over line art duties here, and it’s definitely a change, darker and scratchier than what’s come before, but it suits the raw emotion of the story.
| Published by BOOM! Studios
Captain Marvel #6 begins a tie-in to War of the Realms with Carol and Natasha trying to find Doctor Strange in South America. It’s a fun start to this story from Kelly Thompson, Annapaola Martello, Tamra Bonvillain, and Clayton Cowles with a Freaky Friday twist as they try to stop Enchantress.
| Published by Marvel
Criminal #5 begins “Cruel Summer”, which Ed Brubaker promises to possibly be the longest arc yet, kicking off an investigation into a woman running from an abusive affair. Brubaker, Sean Phillips, and Jacob Phillips give us an intriguing start to this arc through a sad sack private investigator in Dan Farraday
| Published by Image
DCeased #2 continues the destruction of the DC Universe through a “not zombie” zombie plague. Tom Taylor, Trevor Hairsine, Stefano Gaudiano, Rain Beredo, and Saida Temofonte are telling a great horror story here, with some big casualties wiped off the board pretty quickly.
| Published by DC Comics
Deadpool #13 is another War of the Realms tie-in, dropping Deadpool into Australia to tackle Ulik and his trolls. It’s a decent start from Skottie Young, Nic Klein, and Jeff Eckleberry with some funny Wade/Blind Al moments and Wade trying to convince the Australian heroes of his worth as an Avenger.
| Published by Marvel
Deathstroke #44 is part one of “RIP”, with Priest, Fernando Pasarin, Ryan Winn, Jeromy Cox, and Willie Schubert kicking it off with Slade’s funeral. Some interesting bits of possibility as to who might pick up the Deathstroke mantle.
| Published by DC Comics
Descendent #2 continues this conspiracy-laden thriller from Stephanie Phillips, Evgeniy Bornyakov, Lauren Affe, and Troy Peteri. This one’s a bit heavy on the shadowy organization being shadowy and light on explanation, but there are still some entertaining character moments.
| Published by AfterShock
Eclipse #16 brings this series from Zack Kaplan, Giovanni Timpano, Flavio Dispenza, and Troy Peteri to a close. I find it kind of funny that the reason for the solar activity and underlying state of the world aren’t answered, but that’s been part of the through line of this final arc, focusing more on the characters and the heart that keeps people going.
| Published by Image / Top Cow
Fallen World #2 continues this wonderful exploration of the new state of 4002 AD by Dan Abnett, Adam Pollina, Ulises Arreola, and Jeff Powell. The threat of Father-possessed Bloodshot in horrifying and the future is looking pretty bleak. Also, I think this is some of the best artwork I have ever seen from Adam Pollina. He’s really giving it his all for this series and it shines through on the page.
| Published by Valiant
Giant Days #51 deals with the fallout of McGraw’s loss as we head towards the end of the series. The shift in behaviour for Esther to more responsibility and adult attitudes also seems to be a sign that John Allison is giving us that the end is near.
| Published by Boom Entertainment / BOOM! Box
The Green Lantern #8 is one of the weirdest Green Lantern/Green Arrow team-ups you’re going to come across. With awesome demons from Liam Sharp.
| Published by DC Comics
Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 gives us a trio of tales and a framing story, focusing on the other heroes who were sucked into oblivion in the first issue, and where some of them have ended up now. Great work from all of the creators involved and hope to see them usher more stories of the characters.
| Published by Marvel
Incredible Hulk: Last Call #1 is another of the 80th Anniversary specials, this time reuniting the classic Hulk team of Peter David and Dale Keown for this one-shot. It’s an interesting tale of Bruce wanting to kill himself and an old co-worker of Betty’s trying to talk him out of it.
| Published by Marvel
Justice League #25 concludes “The Sixth Dimension” from Scott Snyder, Jorge Jimenez, Alejandro Sánchez, and Tom Napolitano. Gorgeous art as always, and an interesting bit of the League being more than the sum of their parts to choose a different way. There’s also a prelude for the “Year of the Villain” even from James Tynion IV, Javier Fernandez, Hi-Fi, and Napolitano and it’s a little grim. While they were gone, the world has been doomed.
| Published by DC Comics
Meet the Skrulls #5 brings this excellent series to a close, with hints of something even bigger than a Skrull invasion lurking within the Marvel Universe. Robbie Thompson, Niko Henrichon, Laurent Grossat, and Travis Lanham have provided a taut thriller through this series, but also shown that the tightest bonds in the field are really with your family.
| Published by Marvel
Savage Avengers #2 continues slowly bringing together the team in the Savage Land, along with revealing the long time Conan villain pulling the strings. It’s bloody, violent, and great. Mike Deodato Jr. and Frank Martin are making this look gorgeous.
| Published by Marvel
Stronghold #4 goes in some very interesting directions as Michael and Claire escape from the Stronghold’s clutches and go searching for the Apostate. Some absolutely marvellous artwork from Ryan Kelly and Dee Cunniffe, with some great repeated variations on layouts as Michael cycles through different lifetimes.
| Published by AfterShock
Uncanny X-Men #19 catches us up with what’s been going on with Emma Frost since her X-Men: Black story across Astonishing X-Men and the beginning of this series, and, well, it’s also bleak. And there’s more death. Also a reminder that the Vanisher’s name is Telford Porter. TELFORD PORTER.
| Published by Marvel
War of the Realms #5 is kind of a mess of pieces, I don’t recommend anyone trying to reconcile appearances and locations in this book with any of the tie-ins, but on its own, it’s one hell of a gathering storm for the finale. Russell Dauterman and Matthew Wilson are unparalleled here with the artwork. It’s drop dead gorgeous.
| Published by Marvel
Witchblade #14 slips back to the present to deal with what happens after Alex and co. get ported off to the future. I love how Caitlin Kittredge, Roberta Ingranata, Bryan Valenza, and Troy Peteri are presenting this, rather than just leaving us confused in the future.
| Published by Image / Top Cow
Young Justice #6 concludes “Seven Crises” with some answers, kind of, but not any particularly satisfying ones, more just a bunch of hand waving. Which is not to say this isn’t good, Brian Michael Bendis, John Timms, Gabe Eltaeb, and Wes Abbott deliver a very entertaining excursion into Gemworld, with some funny moments and great action. It’s just that the questions about how and why any of this is happening or who these versions of the characters are and out of which continuity remain.
